Dritec, Czech Republic – Francois Calmels fired a 7-under-par 65 on Sunday and cruised to a 3-stroke victory at the D+D Real Czech Challenge Open.
Calmels finished 72 holes at 22-under 266 for his third career Challenge Tour title and second of the season, having already titled at the Challenge de Madrid in April.
Robert Dinwiddie (65), Adam Gee (71) and Sam Walker (66) shared second place at 19-under, while Adrian Otaegui (70) ended in solo fifth at minus-18.
Calmels had a par, two bogeys and a birdie over his first four holes before seizing decisive control.
The Frenchman reeled off eight birdies over his next 10 holes, including five straight around the turn, and never looked back. He closed with a pair of birdies and a pair of bogeys to remain in font.
