Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano has reportedly decided to bench quarterback Josh Freeman in favor of rookie Mike Glennon.
Various reports, including the Tampa Tribune, have said the move was made in a decision between Schiano, general manager Mark Dominik and ownership. The Bucs said Schiano would address the situation after practice.
Freeman has struggled with the Bucs off to an 0-3 start. He has completed just 45.7 percent of his passes for 571 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. His quarterback rating of 59.3 is the worst in the NFL.
Glennon was selected in the third round of April's draft after a standout career at North Carolina State. He threw 31 touchdown passes in each of his two seasons as a starter with the Wolfpack.
