Melbourne, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) - The mighty twin Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, were stunning third-round doubles losers Monday at the Australian Open.
Making their earliest Aussie Open exit in 11 years, the top seeds were sent packing by an unseeded duo of fellow American Eric Butorac and South African Raven Klaasen, 7-6 (11-9), 6-4, at Melbourne Park.
The 35-year-old Bryans were the reigning Aussie Open champs and have captured the year's first Grand Slam event on six occasions. They are still the reigning Wimbledon and French Open champions.
