Browns receiver Austin taken to hospital for abdominal discomfort after 26-10 loss to Bills

Cleveland Browns receiver Miles Austin has been taken to a Buffalo-area hospital for precautionary reasons after experiencing abdominal discomfort following a 26-10 loss to the Bills.

The Browns announced the development after the game Sunday. It's unclear when Austin was hurt, and the team had no update on his status.

Browns tight end Gary Barnidge did not return after hurting his ribs in the first quarter. Center Nick McDonald did not return after hurting his ankle in the first quarter.

McDonald was already filling in for injured starter Alex Mack. Backup lineman Ryan Seymour finished the game at center.

The Browns (7-5) did not provide any details on the severity of the injuries.
