Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Denver Broncos signed defensive lineman Antonio Smith to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Smith was released by the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old Smith started all 16 games for Oakland last season, recording 20 tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble.
The Oklahoma State product has recorded 302 tackles and 44 1/2 sacks in 157 NFL games with the Cardinals, Texans and Raiders. Smith spent five years in Houston with Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak from 2009 to 2013.
