Brian Waters is back in the locker room of the Dallas Cowboys for the first time since he was an undrafted rookie trying to make the team as a fullback or tight end 14 years ago.
Now he's a six-time Pro Bowler who played guard for Kansas City and New England. Injuries have created such a need at his position that the Cowboys brought him back days before the start of the season after a year away from football.
Waters scoffs at the idea of being a "savior." He says he is simply trying to help a "supremely talented" team.
The 36-year-old doesn't know if he will play in the opener Sunday night against the New York Giants.
