Las Vegas, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Timothy Bradley defeated Juan Manuel Marquez by split decision Saturday to retain his WBO welterweight title and remain undefeated.
Two judges scored the bout in favor of Bradley, 116-112 and 115-113, while the other had Marquez winning 115-113.
Bradley (31-0, 12 KOs) connected on 168-of-562 punches, compared to 153-of-455 for Marquez (55-7-1, 40 KOs).
On the undercard, Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28 KOs) beat Orlando Cruz (20-3-1 10 KOs), the first openly gay fighter, by a seventh-round knockout for the vacant WBO featherweight title.
