St. Louis, MO – Jaroslav Halak made 29 saves to earn his 0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Halak's 17th career shutout made a winner of head coach Ken Hitchcock in his season debut with the Blues. Hitchcock took over the reins of the club on Sunday after the team fired Davis Payne following a 6-7-0 start.
Vladimir Sobotka, Chris Stewart and T.J. Oshie lit the lamp for St. Louis, which won for the second time in three games.
Corey Crawford allowed the three goals on 20 shots in Chicago's third straight loss.
