Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford will be sidelined about three weeks with a lower-body injury, according to Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville.
Crawford sustained the injury in the first period of the Blackhawks' game Sunday against the Florida Panthers.
The Blackhawks will turn to Antti Raanta to fill in for Crawford. Raanta is 3-0-1 this season with a 2.16 GAA.
Crawford is 17-6-3 with a 2.47 GAA in 27 games this season.
Chicago recalled goaltender Kent Simpson from Rockford of the American Hockey League. Regular backup Nikolai Khabibulin is out with a lower-body injury.
