Denmark international defender year contract with the Dutch side.
The 23-year-old will join Twente on July 1, 2012 for an undisclosed fee, and he is looking forward to the challenge that his move will provide.
"I am happy about my move to FC Twente," Bjelland told uefa.com. "This is a new step in my career and the chance to prove myself. Twente are a club where there is a major challenge every week. They have been following me closely for a long time and know what kind of person I am. That interest made me feel good."
Bjelland began his career at Lyngby before moving to Nordsjaelland in 2009, where he went on to help the club capture a pair Danish Cup titles.
He has been capped three times by Denmark, including a 2-1 win over Portugal in Euro 2012 qualifying last month.
