LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) Brett Bisping, a junior, scored 24 points - breaking past 1,000 career points - and grabbed 18 rebounds as Siena walloped Rider 84-64 to win for the eighth time in its last 10 games as it fights to stay with conference leaders.
Bisping needed five points to reach 1,000 career, and did it with a free throw at 12:22 of the first half. He made 10 of 16 field goals, including a pair of 3-pointers. Javion Ogunyemi added 17 points for the Saints with Lavon Long and Ryan Oliver scoring 11 each.
Siena (19-9, 12-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) trails second-place Iona (13-4), which upset Monmouth (14-3) 83-67 on Friday.
Kahlil Thomas scored 19 points and Khalil Alford a career-high 18 to lead Rider (11-17, 7-10). Senior Teddy Okreafor was held to four points on 2-for-7 shooting, his lowest since Nov. 29.
Siena knocked down 11 3-pointers and out-rebounded Rider 44-28.
