Buffalo Bills tight end Lee Smith will miss the rest of the team's spring minicamps after hurting his lower right leg.

Coach Doug Marrone said Smith was hurt in the weight room, but did not reveal the nature of the injury or how it occurred. Marrone expects Smith to be ready for training camp in July.

Smith watched practice Wednesday wearing a protective boot. He has been used mostly as a blocker during his two seasons in Buffalo.

The Bills have questions at tight end, with starter Scott Chandler coming off left knee surgery.

Receiver Stevie Johnson was held out of practice a day after getting his most extensive work since straining his back last month. Johnson said he was given a rest day, and expects to return Thursday.
