Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Buffalo Bills special teamer Ron Brooks was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
During a punt with just over seven minutes to play in the first quarter, Brooks was upended on coverage and landed squarely on his head before falling to the turf.
He was attended to for several minutes on the field, and had a brace placed on his neck before being placed on a cart.
He gave a brief wave to the crowd as he was taken off the field.
Buffalo later said that he suffered a neck injury and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
