Vince Edwards and Kendall Stephens combined for 32 first-half points to lead Purdue to a 77-57 victory over IUPUI on Sunday.
Edwards had 19 points in the first half against the Jaguars, making 8 of 10 field goal attempts, including a pair of 3-pointers. He finished with 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting.
Stephens added 13 of his 24 points in the first half, making 3 of 4 shots from beyond the arc. Edwards and Stephens made 11 of 15 shots during the opening half, when Purdue (2-0) built a 48-38 lead.
IUPUI (0-2) stayed within striking distance. Leo Svete made four 3-pointers and scored all of his 14 points before intermission. IUPUI shot 54.5 during the first 20 minutes but had 11 turnovers, leading to 17 Boilermaker points. D.J. McCall added 14 points for the Jaguars.
