Daytona Beach, FL – Bethune-Cookman University announced Monday All-America offensive tackle Terrance Hackney will sit out the 2013 season.
Hackney, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound senior from Chapel Hill, N.C., was named a preseason second-team All-American by The Sports Network.
"Terrance and I have had several conversations, and we both agree that there are goals bigger than playing football," coach Brian Jenkins said. "We plan on providing him all the assistance needed in achieving his ultimate goal of graduating from Bethune-Cookman University."
