Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Bengals have signed defensive tackle Pat Sims, who spent the last two seasons with the Oakland Raiders.
Sims spent his first five seasons with the Bengals before joining the Raiders in 2013. He started all 16 games in 2013, but was reduced to a rotational role last year, starting two games.
"Pat was a good player for us here and we think he can fill a role for us this year," said Bengals defensive line coach Jay Hayes. "He lends a physical dimension. He's a very aggressive run player, and we're happy to have him back."
The 29-year-old Sims has played in 92 career games (41 starts) with the Bengals and Raiders, recording 217 tackles, seven sacks and one interception.
