Bill Belichick is the king of one-word answers and rarely talks to reporters for extended periods of time. That is, unless you ask him about the always-interesting NFL rulebook.
In wake of Monday night's penalty blunder at the end of the Lions-Seahawks game, Belichick was asked about the NFL rules. Shockingly, he went on an eight-minute, 820 word rant on how he teaches his players the rules.
At least he warned everyone that he wouldn't be giving a short response.
"I think it's a really good question, but it would entail probably a pretty lengthy answer," Belichick said.
He's not known as a chatterbox, but when you bring up the rules of football, watch out. You could be there for a while.
