Jo scored in the 69th minute as Atletico Mineiro downed Vasco da Gama, 1-0, on Sunday to extend its lead atop the table in the Brasileiro.
Atletico Mineiro entered the match with a one-point cushion over Vasco at the top of the standings, and won for the ninth time during a 10-game unbeaten run to extend its lead to four points with a match in hand.
Vasco lost for the first time on the road this season in eight matches, as it had its nine-game unbeaten run overall snapped and wasted a chance to grab the top spot in the table.

Walter Montillo scored early as Cruzeiro ended a two-match skid with a 1-0 win at Bahia, which is winless in four. Vagner Love scored twice as Flamengo beat Nautico, 2-0, and Patricio Rodriguez and Ezequiel Miralles scored after half as Santos rallied for a 2-2 draw against Goianiense.
