The Oakland Athletics activated right fielder Josh Reddick off the 15-day disabled list on Friday.
He had been on the DL since May 8, retroactive to May 7, with a sprained right wrist.
Reddick has struggled this season and is batting .158 with one homer and 15 RBI over 30 games. Over four rehab assignments earlier this week, he went 3- for-14 with five runs scored.
To open a roster spot for Reddick, the team optioned catcher Luke Montz to Triple-A Sacramento. In 13 games with the A's, he batted .179 with one home run and five RBI.
