Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Astros activated pitcher Collin McHugh from the 15-day disabled list prior to Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins.
McHugh, who had been sidelined due to a torn fingernail on his throwing hand, was due to make his 15th start of the season Sunday and his first since July 6 against the Angels.
Coming into Sunday's action, McHugh was 4-8 with a 3.28 ERA in 14 starts.
The Astros also put right-handed pitcher Josh Zeid on the 15-day DL with and injured left foot. The team optioned pitcher Brad Peacock to Oklahoma City and recalled righty Paul Clemens from the Triple-A club.
