The Arizona Cardinals have added a versatile pass rusher in the fourth round of the NFL draft, using the 103rd overall pick to select Texas defensive end Alex Okafor.
The 6-foot-4, 261-pound Okafor was an undersized defensive tackle as a sophomore, moved to defensive end as a junior and can play outside linebacker.
Okafor was all-Big 12 his final two seasons in Austin and ninth nationally with 12.5 sacks as a senior. He also had 4.5 sacks in the Alamo Bowl against Oregon State.
Arizona used its first-round pick to take North Carolina guard Jonathan Cooper, then selected two LSU players in the next two rounds: linebacker Kevin Minter in the second and defensive back Tyrann Mathieu in the third.
