CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to terms with center Roy Hibbert and point guard Ramon Sessions.
Hibbert will receive one-year deal worth $5 million and Sessions received a two-year deal worth $12.3 million with a team option for the second season. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the deals cannot be signed until July 7.
The moves strengthen Charlotte's depth.
The 7-foot-2 Hibbert is expected to back up Cody Zeller. A former two-time All-Star, Hibbert struggled last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging a career-low 5.9 points and just 4.9 rebounds.
Sessions returns to Charlotte to back up point guard Kemba Walker. Sessions averaged 9.9 points and 2.2 assists last season with Washington.
