Shawn Stefani is the PGA Tour rookie to look comfortable on a big stage.
In breezy conditions on a tough golf course, Stefani never came close to making a bogey until his final hole Thursday in the Tampa Bay Championship. He rolled in a par putt from just inside 5 feet to complete a 6-under 65 and take a two-shot lead over Brian Harman.
One rookie already has won this year. Four others have played in the final group. It was Stefani's turn at Innisbrook, where he played bogey-free on a Copperhead course that averaged more than two shots over par.
Harris English made double bogey on the last hole and still had a 68. Only 25 players in the 156-man field broke par.
Defending champion Luke Donald shot 70.
