Another hamstring injury for Rangers' Cruz

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz will work out Friday before the team determines if his latest hamstring injury might require him to go on the disabled list again.

An MRI on Thursday determined Cruz has a strained left hamstring, apparently sustained this week during a game at Kansas City. The Rangers were off Thursday before a weekend series at Minnesota.

The All-Star outfielder has been back only two weeks after being on the 15-day DL with a sore right hamstring.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said Cruz was feeling "good right now" and better than he did last time he was hurt.

Cruz is hitting .330 with 10 home runs and 34 RBIs in 31 games.
