London, England – Andre Santos has finalized his move from Fenerbahce to Arsenal on Wednesday in a deal reportedly worth $8.5 million.
The Brazil international will serve as a replacement for Gael Clichy, who left Arsenal for Manchester City earlier this summer, and his arrival will bring Champions League experience to North London as well.
Fenerbahce won the Turkish League last season but was removed from the Champions League because of its involvement in a match-fixing scandal, and the club has asked to be relegated to the second division in Turkey.
The 28-year-old Santos has been capped 22 times by Brazil and he appeared in over 50 games for Fenerbahce, scoring 10 goals.
