The 6-foot-8 No. 3 seed popped eight aces before overcoming Argentine Federico Delbonis 6-7 (4-7), 6-0, 6-3 in second-round action at River Oaks Country Club.
Up next for Anderson will be seventh-seeded Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, who subdued Japan's Go Soeda 6-3, 6-3 on Day 3.
