Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Toronto FC and United States national team forward Jozy Altidore will be sidelined for 4-to-5 weeks after suffering a hamstring strain, the club announced on Tuesday.
The setback occurred in the first half of Toronto's 1-1 draw against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
Altidore, who arrived in Toronto in a swap deal for Jermain Defoe with Sunderland of the Premier League, has made a combined nine appearances, scoring six goals with one assist between MLS league play and the Canadian Championship.
