Montgomery, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Alabama State named Brian Jenkins its next head football coach on Tuesday.
Jenkins comes over from Bethune-Cookman, where he spent five seasons and brought the Wildcats to three FCS postseasons. Bethune-Cookman went 46-14 during Jenkins' tenure.
Jenkins, 43, was previously an assistant coach for 16 years in collegiate and professional football.
He takes over for Reggie Barlow, who was fired three weeks ago following a 7-5 campaign.
