After clinching its third successive Eredivisie title last weekend, Ajax put the finishing touches on another title-winning season on Sunday with a 2-0 victory at Groningen.
Kolbeinn Sigthorsson netted the opener eight minutes into the match and Danny Hoesen doubled the advantage in the 72nd, putting the result beyond reach for the home side.
The result leaves Ajax seven points clear at the top of the league ahead of both PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.
PSV was locked into second place ahead of Sunday's match at Twente, and the home side took advantage by scoring twice in the first 30 minutes.
Dries Mertens converted a penalty kick for PSV before halftime, but Willem Janssen restored Twente's two-goal lead to account for the 3-1 final score.
Feyenoord finished the season level on 69 points with PSV after downing NAC, 1-0, through a second-half goal from Graziano Pelle, while Vitesse ends the campaign in fourth place despite a 1-0 home defeat against Venlo to Brian Linssen's goal.
Utrecht scored all three of its goals in the second half of a 3-0 triumph over Heracles, RKC Waalwijk finished four points above the relegation places following a 2-1 win at NEC, Fred Benson netted two goals to help Zwolle down Den Haag, 4-2, Krisztian Nemeth's goal in the 31st minute led Roda to a 1-0 win over Heerenveen and Willem II downed AZ Alkmaar, 2-0, with both goals coming after halftime.
