The Denver Nuggets have re-signed guard Arron year contract.

The Denver Post reported the 26-year-old agreed to a five-year, $43 million deal.

"Arron is a tremendous young player who is only going to get better," said Nuggets executive vice president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri. "Not only has he become one of our best offensive players, but he is an excellent defender and a great leader in the locker room. He is a big part of our future, and we are glad to have him back on our roster."

Afflalo is coming off a career season after averaging 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists -- all personal bests for the four-year NBA pro.

The Nuggets acquired the UCLA product in a trade with Detroit prior to the 2009-10 season.
