New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was back in the lineup Saturday after missing six games with a thumb injury.

Rodriguez was initially hurt while diving for a grounder during an August 21 game against Minnesota. He sat out for a few games, then played three more before taking a rest.

The slugger batted third in Saturday's 6-4 win against Toronto, contributing a key walk during a three-run rally in the seventh inning that put New York ahead. He also had a single and made a diving stop during the contest.

In 85 games this season, Rodriguez is batting .289 with 14 homers and 53 runs batted in. He also missed a few weeks from early July until late August after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
