Former NFL defensive lineman and Stanford assistant coach Chester McGlockton died early Wednesday morning. He was 42.
McGlockton was the 16th overall pick by the Raiders in the 1992 NFL Draft and was a member of the organization through the 1997 season. He also played for the Kansas City Chiefs (1998-2000), Denver Broncos (2001-02) and New York Jets (2003) during his 12-year career. He earned four straight Pro Bowl selections from 1994-97.
In 179 career games, he registered 51 sacks.
McGlockton served as a defensive assistant on Stanford's football staff the past two seasons.
