This Sunday was jam-packed with NFL action, as several players around the league stood out for their insane statistical output. This week's players who filled up the box score included a venerable veteran quarterback, a running back who got loose and a wide receiver who pitched in a handful of explosive plays.
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
Tom Brady was his usual domineering self during the Patriots' 30-23 win over the New York Jets on Sunday. The steadfast signal-caller threw the ball 54 times and completed 34 of his attempts (63 percent). Brady's completions covered 355 yards and two of them went for touchdowns. On top of his passing performance, the 38-year-old quarterback also dove over the line for a one-yard touchdown on the ground (led team with four rushes for 15 yards).
Lamar Miller, RB, Miami Dolphins
Miami put a hurting on the Houston Texans, as the Dolphins leapt out to a 41-0 lead by halftime. A lot of Miami's early production came from Lamar Miller, who finished with 17 offensive touches for 236 total yards. The fourth-year running back had two huge scoring plays -- an 85-yard rush and a 54-yard reception. Miller's efforts propelled the Dolphins to a 44-26 win over the Texans on Sunday.
T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts
T.Y. Hilton was not spotted much during the Colts' 27-21 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but he was hard to miss when the ball did find his hands. Although he caught only four passes, two of them were huge scoring strikes. The first one was an 87-yarder; the encore was a 46-yard touchdown reception. Hilton finished with 150 yards (37.5 yards per catch) in the losing effort.
