CLEVELAND (AP) The Browns say linebacker Armonty Bryant and De'Ante Saunders were arrested Christmas morning following a traffic stop.
Bryant will not travel with the team for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs so he can tend to the legal matter, the team said. There were no immediate details available concerning the arrests.
Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement that the team takes the charges against the players ''seriously'' and calls the situation ''extremely disappointing.''
Bryant, who is second on the team in sacks this season, is in his third year with the Browns. He was drafted in the seventh round in 2013 from East Central Oklahoma, where he had some legal troubles.
The Browns (3-11) will visit the Chiefs on Sunday before ending the regular season at home against Pittsburgh on Jan. 3.
