Smith became only the fifth Buckeye with 4 TDs in a single game, tying the Ohio State single game touchdown record. Smith finished the game with 217 yards receiving, becoming only the second Buckeye receiver with 200+ yards receiving and 4 touchdown receptions in a single game.

Smith is now the Heisman favorite, leapfrogging Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and Miami quarterback Darian Mensah.

It wasn’t pretty, but the No. 1 Texas Longhorns escaped Knoxville with its fourth win of the season against the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers, 20-17.

With President Donald Trump in attendance to watch this premier SEC matchup, Texas seemed to have the game in the bag when they went up 20-10 with 5:41 left to play in the fourth quarter.

But Vols freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon, who was hounded all game long by the Longhorns’ defense, made things very interesting when he finally led a touchdown drive with less than two minutes to play.

Tennessee knew it needed some luck with no timeouts and only an onside kick recovery as the way they could win the game. If Texas secured the onside kick, Arch Manning would’ve knelt out the clock to victory.

But the Vols, with a sold-out crowd at historic Neyland Stadium screaming, saw Texas receiver Ryan Wingo botch the recovery of the spinning ball. Brandon and the Vols’ offense got the ball back and had a chance to at least tie it with a field goal try and send the game to overtime, if not win it with a touchdown.

However, Texas’ defense, as it was doing all game, put too much pressure on Brandon in the end. Brandon was sacked for the 10th time in the game, with Colin Simmons tallying half of those in a game where the Vols’ offense couldn’t move until the end.

On the final play of the game, Brandon heaved a Hail Mary to the end zone, but Texas batted the potential game-winning ball away to secure its win.

This game ultimately matched the hype that surrounded it all week, especially after Trump's attendance was announced earlier in the week.

Just after the national anthem, Air Force One flew right overhead, with the PA announcer at the stadium telling everyone to look up. A thunderous roar came from the crowd as the jet flew over, and the same occurred when Trump was shown on the big screen during a game break.

With the president, and the rest of the nation watching, Manning and the Texas offense got to work early. On their opening drive, Manning found Emmett Mosley V on a 43-yard pass that set up the Longhorns beautifully on Tennessee’s 22-yard line. A few plays later, Raleek Brown burst through the line of scrimmage and picked up a nine-yard touchdown, capping a statement drive on the road to begin the game.

From there, this game became a defensive bout on both sides. Tennessee would open their first drive with a field goal, but the score was just 10-3 at halftime as both defenses made it very tough for either quarterback to fall into a rhythm, especially Brandon making his debut against a SEC opponent.

As the second half started, Tennessee knew that it had to get something to go their way, with the Knoxville crowd waiting anxiously to burst out in cheers. On Texas’ first drive of the half, that’s exactly what they got.

After the Vols’ defense forced a three-and-out, Qua Moss caught a punt near midfield and took it 57 yards to the house to tie the game up at 10. Just like that, we had a game.

The fourth quarter provided most of the thrill in this game once Brown scored his second touchdown of the game with less than six minutes left.

In the end, the Texas' defense came through when it needed most, even if it wasn't a smooth ride to get there.

Startups bring innovation to defense industrial base

New tools, longstanding partnerships and additional resources could be the keys to bolster the defense industrial base.

The War Department is diversifying its inventory by working with startups and playing the long game through extended agreements with established contractors.

"I do think these are unprecedented deals," Undersecretary of War for Acquisitions and Sustainment Michael Duffey said.

"Nobody's been able to deliver the quality and the performance that Tomahawk and the Patriot provide for our war fight."

The War Department has been announcing multi-year weapons production contracts.

Some agreements extend as long as seven years, including a $22.9 billion deal with Raytheon for Tomahawk missiles, a $1 billion framework with Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin for THAAD components and a $58.62 billion contract with Lockheed Martin for Patriot Missile Segment Enhancements.

"In the case of Patriots, it was a three-times production increase over what we were producing this past year," Duffey said. "We have a lot of new entrants that are bringing new great technology into the industry."

The War Department is also investing more in new technology. The Department of War Innovation Unit works with commercial companies and startups to adopt new weapons and defense capabilities. Its budget has skyrocketed to nearly $1 billion in recent years.

"I think the startups are going to be kind of the future. The primes have their purpose. They build the big weapon systems. They build aircraft carriers. But it takes a long time to move that ship in the right direction," Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said.

"The startups, just like we saw in Ukraine, have this ability of innovation to move at a faster speed and a more innovative technology, more creativity in the process, out-of-the-box thinking that we desperately need for our defense industrial base."

Rocket Lab is one newer company that has increasingly been working with the War Department. Since the company was founded in 2006, it has received more than $2 billion in government contract awards.

"I would say we've moving up the food chain, and now we are amongst the preeminent missile and missile defense test programs in the United States," Vice President of Global Launch Services at Rocket Lab Brian Rogers said.

Rocket Lab has worked with the Department of War Innovation Unit to test its Haste Launch Vehicle, which the company says will help the U.S. accelerate future hypersonic capabilities.

"We've already done a number of launches," Rogers said. "We got a lot more in the hopper, and it's all kinds of different technology applications."

Defense technology company Castelion says one of its priorities is speeding up the manufacturing timeline.

"We believe that it's much faster if you just go out and build the object you're trying to build into inner manufacturing, and then you find all of the problems in that process, and you correct them," Castelion Co-Founder and CEO Bryon Hargis said. "One of the things that we based the company on is really what worked in the Apollo era when we got to the moon as a country in under a decade. A lot of those practices have fallen out of favor. We're going back to what worked, and we're just implementing that again."

The War Department is investing in that strategy with a multi-year agreement to eventually field Castelion’s Blackbeard Hypersonic Weapon.

"It's just the agreement to have a future agreement," Hargis said. "If we meet those performance targets that we set out and said we could do, the department is saying they're gonna come in and buy a tremendous amount of munitions."

Castelion has secured $500 million in U.S. military contracts over the past 18 months and recently announced $1 billion in funding.

"The future is very bright. We have a tremendous opportunity with this administration and what the department is doing to bring in new entrants," Hargis said. "The key thing that I think has been missing in the past decades is that we do not build enough, we do not go test enough, and they're correcting that. And that's going to lead to tremendous innovation in this space."

A late-night encounter with a black bear turned tragic for a Northern California couple after the animal mauled the homeowners and fatally injured their French bulldog.

The dog reportedly tried to protect them during the vicious attack, which left them hospitalized.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 19, Jeff and Mallory Wilson's dog, Cassie, let out a single bark — prompting Jeff Wilson to go outside and check the backyard of their Trinity County home.

When he opened the door, a cinnamon-colored black bear emerged from behind their patio furniture, lunging at him and knocking him to the floor.

The commotion woke his wife — who went outside and was then also attacked by the bear, according to a GoFundMe organized by a longtime friend of the married couple.

"I think the bear was startled by us just as much as we were startled by it," Wilson later told the news site Redheaded Blackbelt.

During the attack, their dog Cassie threw herself between Wilson and the bear, which grabbed the dog in its mouth and started to run away with it, according to reports.

The owners got the bear to drop their dog and finally scared it off.

Though badly wounded themselves, the couple rushed their dog to emergency care. The pet underwent surgery to treat multiple wounds, including along her spine — but "tragically died two days" after the incident, according to the fundraising page.

The page described the pet as "a deeply loved member of their family."

Jeff Wilson, meanwhile, suffered two broken ribs and numerous bite and claw wounds, while Mallory Wilson sustained serious injuries to her head and face, and other bite and puncture wounds.

Each is facing continued medical treatment and recovery, the fundraising page says.

The Wilsons own Radio Ranch, an off-the-grid "glamping" retreat in Trinity County, according to reports. The couple "[has] years of experience living and working alongside wildlife, and [takes] precautions to peacefully coexist with the animals that share their land," the GoFundMe notes.

"We chose to live in rural Northern California because we treasure being surrounded by the natural world and the wildlife with whom we share it," the couple told KRON4.

"This was an unprovoked and extraordinarily unusual encounter that none of us could have anticipated."

"We can grieve Cassie and be devastated by what happened while still respecting the wild animals that belong in these places," they added.

"They are passionate animal lovers, which has made this extraordinarily rare encounter and the loss of Cassie heartbreaking on so many levels," the GoFundMe write-up noted.

Jeff Wilson told local news outlets he believes the bear may have been startled after becoming cornered between a fence and gate at their home.

The attack has led the Wilsons to cancel Radio Ranch reservations while they recover and cooperate with an ongoing investigation by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW).

The fundraiser aims to help cover the couple's medical bills, veterinary costs, property damage and the expense of hiring help while they recover.

As of Saturday afternoon, it raised over $16,000 of its $20,000 goal.

The CDFW said black bear attacks that result in injuries to humans are rare in the state, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The agency advises residents to secure food and garbage that can attract bears, keep pets indoors at night when possible and fight back rather than play dead if a black bear attacks.

Georgia man, 18, charged with murder after dismembered human remains found in car trunk

Police in Georgia charged 18-year-old Kingston Lammar Bradley with malice murder Friday after allegedly discovering trash bags filled with dismembered remains in the trunk of his car.

Witnesses spotted Bradley walking in his apartment complex with a container, and when he realized he was seen, he dropped the container and ran into his apartment, Smyrna Police Lt. Meredith Holt said during a news conference Friday.

Witnesses called the police after finding human remains inside the container, Holt said.

Police had previously responded to his home after a missing woman’s family reported her car and phone were at the location, Holt said, but they did not execute a search warrant.

Police do not yet know what connection Bradley had to the victim, Holt said.

"This is a shocking crime, I don’t know how else to describe it. I’ve been in law enforcement for 25 years and I have been a part of multiple homicide cases and I’ve worked crimes against children for 16 years, and this is a particularly gruesome crime," Holt said during the news conference.

"I cannot imagine what the family is going through," she added.

Police are still actively looking for other human remains, Holt said.

Trump claims stunning casualty numbers in Russia-Ukraine war

President Donald Trump said Saturday that 25,000 people were killed last month and another 32,000 the month before in the war between Ukraine and Russia

"The month before that, 32,000 people died … mostly soldiers, 97% soldiers. But whether they're soldiers or civilians, think of it: 32,000. Two months ago, 33,000 people; this month, 25,000 people died. What a shame," he added.

Most people think identity theft means someone gets into a bank account or starts charging things to a credit card you already use. But there is another kind of identity theft that can be much harder to spot. A criminal can use your name, Social Security number, birthdate or other personal information to open a brand-new account in your name. And this problem is growing fast. Javelin Strategy & Research found that the number of new-account fraud victims jumped 31% in 2025, rising from 4.2 million to 5.4 million. That was the sharpest increase among the fraud types Javelin tracked.

The fraudulent account could be a credit card sent to an address you have never lived at. It could be a phone or utility account with a company you have never used. Someone could even try to open a buy now, pay later account using your identity. That is what makes this kind of fraud so sneaky. The criminal may never touch an account you already monitor, so there may be no suspicious charge staring back at you from your bank statement. You may find out only when a strange bill arrives, a lender checks your credit, a debt collector calls or you spot an account that clearly does not belong to you. The good news is there are ways to look for those clues before the problem gets even bigger.

How new-account fraud usually works

With fraud on an account you already use, you have a decent chance of spotting it quickly. A strange purchase shows up, your bank sends an alert or your card suddenly stops working. New-account fraud can stay much quieter. A criminal applies for a new account using enough of your personal information to pose as you. If the application goes through, the account may be tied to an address, phone number or email account the criminal controls. As far as the lender or company knows, you opened it. The first clue could be a hard inquiry on your credit report, a new account you do not recognize or mail welcoming you to a service you never signed up for. But there is an important catch. Not every type of account appears on all three credit reports, and some phone, utility or buy now, pay later activity may not appear there. That is why checking your credit reports helps, but it should not be the only thing you watch.

Why new-account fraud keeps growing

Criminals have more stolen personal information to work with than ever. Years of data breaches have exposed names, Social Security numbers, birthdates, addresses, email addresses and other details that can help someone impersonate you. A criminal may also combine information from multiple breaches, phishing attacks or data broker records to build a much fuller picture of your identity. At the same time, opening financial and other accounts online has become incredibly convenient. You can apply from your couch and sometimes get a decision within minutes. That convenience works in our favor when we are the ones applying. It can also give criminals more opportunities to try stolen identities without ever walking into a bank or store. The Federal Reserve has also warned that digital account openings create new opportunities for fraudsters, especially as stolen personal information and more sophisticated technology become easier for criminals to use.

A closer look at how this can start

A criminal may not get everything needed to steal your identity from one breach. Your name and email could come from one leak. An older breach might expose other personal information. A people-search site may help fill in an address or phone number. Put enough pieces together and a criminal may have what they need to start testing your identity against lenders, retailers, phone carriers and other companies. That also helps explain why identity theft can seem to come out of nowhere. The information used against you may have been floating around for months or even years before someone decided to use it.

Where the evidence can show up

New-account fraud can leave clues in several places, and some of them are easy to miss if you do not know where to look.

Your credit reports: Start here. Look for accounts and hard inquiries you do not recognize. Check Equifax, Experian and TransUnion because the information can differ from one bureau to another. You can currently get your reports from all three bureaus for free every week through AnnualCreditReport.com. Remember that a clean credit report does not rule out every kind of new-account fraud. Some accounts may not be reported to the major credit bureaus.
Mail and email you did not expect: Watch for welcome letters, account statements, verification messages, approval notices or rejection letters tied to applications you never submitted.
Calls or letters from debt collectors: Do not automatically dismiss a collection attempt because you do not recognize the debt. Ask what company originated the account and investigate it.
Phone, utility and buy now, pay later activity: These accounts can sometimes fly under the radar because they may not appear on a traditional credit report. Account-monitoring services may offer additional alerts for some of these categories.
Addresses or other information you do not recognize: Your credit report can also contain addresses and other identifying details. An unfamiliar entry deserves a closer look, especially if it appears alongside an account or inquiry you do not recognize.

5 steps to check right now

You do not need to wait for a strange bill or collection call to find out something is wrong. A few quick checks can help you spot signs of new-account fraud before it turns into a bigger problem.

1) Pull all three credit reports

Go to AnnualCreditReport.com and review your Equifax, Experian and TransUnion reports. Free reports are currently available weekly, so you can check all three at once or stagger your reviews throughout the year.

2) Look for anything unfamiliar

Pay close attention to accounts, hard inquiries, addresses and other information you do not recognize. If something looks strange, do not assume it is harmless.

3) Consider freezing your credit

A credit freeze can make it much harder for someone to open a new credit account in your name because lenders generally cannot access your frozen credit report. Freezes are free to place and lift, they do not hurt your credit score and they stay in place until you remove them. You need to contact Equifax, Experian and TransUnion separately to freeze all three files.

4) Check your mail and email

Look for messages about accounts you never opened, especially welcome notices, bills, password-reset messages and application updates.

5) Turn on monitoring and alerts

Your bank and credit card companies may offer account alerts at no charge. Identity theft monitoring can go further by watching for certain credit inquiries, new accounts and other signs that someone may be using your information. What to do if you find a fraudulent account

If you spot an account you do not recognize, act quickly. These six steps can help you shut down the fraud, limit the damage and start cleaning up your records.

1) Contact the company where the account was opened

Call the company's fraud department. Explain that you did not open the account and ask them to close or freeze it. Keep any confirmation they send you.

2) Report the identity theft

Go to IdentityTheft.gov and create an FTC Identity Theft Report and recovery plan. That report can also help when you dispute fraudulent information.

3) Place a fraud alert or credit freeze

A fraud alert tells businesses to take extra steps to verify your identity before opening new credit. An initial fraud alert is free, lasts one year and requires you to contact only one of the three major credit bureaus. That bureau must notify the other two. A credit freeze goes further by restricting access to your credit report. To freeze all three reports, contact each bureau separately.

4) Dispute fraudulent information

Contact any credit bureau showing the fraudulent account and ask it to block the identity-theft information from your report. To use the FTC's blocking process, send the bureau a copy of your FTC Identity Theft Report, proof of your identity and a letter identifying the fraudulent information. You can also dispute inaccurate information directly with the credit bureau.

5) Turn on monitoring and identity theft alerts

Your bank and credit card companies may offer account alerts at no charge, so turn those on first. Identity theft monitoring can add another layer by watching for certain credit inquiries, newly opened accounts and other signs that someone may be using your personal information. That can be especially helpful with new-account fraud because the criminal may never touch the accounts you already check. 6) Keep a paper trail

Write down who you contacted, when you contacted them and what they told you. Save letters, emails, case numbers and copies of anything you submit. Those records can save you a lot of frustration if you need to follow up later.

Trump's home county hits pause on data centers over environment and electric bill concerns

Palm Beach County — home to President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago — passed a one-year moratoriam on the planning and construction of data centers as commissioners seek to conduct a thorough review of data centers’ impacts on the environment, noise pollution, and electric bills.

The moratorium, passed on Thursday, comes just weeks after Trump said that communities that reject data centers would "end up being backwards and poor." Among the wealthiest counties in the country, Palm Beach County includes the town of Palm Beach, home to 65 billionaires.

"If you want to go through poverty, crime and squalor, I would say don’t approve of data centers," Trump said from the Oval Office on Sep. 4.

The Palm Beach County Commissioners’ 6-0 vote doesn’t put a permanent ban on data centers. Instead, it gives county leadership time to conduct environmental impact reviews before updating zoning rules for where data centers can be built.

The moratorium applies to all new applications for data centers with an anticipated peak electrical load of at least 50 megawatts.

"Many communities want the economic benefits a data center brings, but we all fear the higher power bills, the negative environmental impact, disruptive noise, the depletion of water resources," a Palm Beach County resident shared during Thursday’s meeting.

Trump has made expanding data centers and accelerating artificial intelligence a cornerstone of his agenda, arguing that the United States cannot afford to lose the AI race to China and warning that opposition to data centers only benefits Beijing.

Data centers are the physical backbone of artificial intelligence, housing thousands of powerful computers that store and process digital information while providing the computing power needed to train and run AI systems.

Palm Beach County has already approved in 2016 the construction of "Project Tango" — a proposed 202-acre AI data center, which is located 20 miles from Mar-a-Lago. The data center will also be built near an elementary school and homes.

In July, commissioners voted 6-1 to reject a proposal to expand Project Tango by roughly 1.67 million square feet. But existing approvals for two 100,000-square-foot data center buildings remain in place.

Residents at the Thursday meeting said Project Tango was the driving factor behind the push to hit pause on data center project approvals, with several residents advocating for no data centers to be built.

"I think the best good neighbor data center is no data center," resident Sergei Kelly said. "We have the Everglades to our South and to our West. The coast to our East. I don’t think data centers, especially large data centers they want to build desperately should be here at all."

Cruz says winning AI race against China is 'single most important economic question' for America

America's AI race against China, which has become a major point of debate as midterms approach, is a race filled with "coordinated" propaganda, warned Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

In recent months, data centers and AI policy have been debated in Congress and at the kitchen tables of American families. But Cruz, who chairs the Senate Commerce Committee, told Fox News Digital that much of the new opposition to data centers is being manipulated by a well-funded and coordinated campaign.

"It's the same reason we saw Middle Eastern countries paying for anti-fracking movements," Cruz said. "Because if they can convince America, 'Don't develop your oil and gas, just buy it from us,' well, that's great for them and terrible for us. The same is true on data centers. If they can convince Americans, 'You don't want data centers here, you want to just rely on the Chinese for AI,' that's great for China, and it's terrible for America."

Direct funding from the Chinese government into the U.S. on data center policies has not been revealed. However, in June, OpenAI announced it had banned ChatGPT accounts believed to have originated in China, and said that the accounts were generating social media comments and images alleging that data centers are raising electricity costs for Americans.

OpenAI said in a statement that it shut down "two clusters of ChatGPT accounts likely originating from China that [OpenAI] banned after they used our models in support of apparent covert influence operations that promoted narratives in an attempt to manipulate a legitimate debate about American AI and wider tech policies."

Cruz called the effort to craft policy to ensure the U.S. wins the AI race is "the single most important economic question facing America today."

I want free speech and individualism and free enterprise and privacy to be reflected in AI, not control and power."

Cruz called opposition to AI advancement and data centers the "dominant position on the Democratic side." The third-term Republican said the Democrats' position is aligned with that of big industry players including Anthropic that he said want exemption from antitrust laws and to "get in bed with government" to control AI development.

Cruz associated this position with leftist ideology and the emerging tech philosophy known as "effective altruism."

"These folks from effective altruism are all hardcore leftists, and they want to use AI to push their leftist ideology," Cruz said. "Part of what we're seeing is a money grab, where there's an old concept in economics called rent seeking, which is big companies typically go to government and say, 'Give me a benefit, entrench me.' We’re seeing the giant AI companies going to government saying, 'Hey, why don't you put us in charge of government and let's set the rules so no one could compete with us.'"

Parker Thayer, an investigative researcher at Capital Research Center in Washington, D.C., told Fox News Digital last week that effective altruism is associated with what he called the "AI doomerism movement."

Facebook co-founder and billionaire Democratic mega-donor Dustin Moskovitz and his wife Cari Tuna have been leading financial backers of organizations associated with the effective altruism movement. Moskovitz left Facebook in 2008.

The couple founded Coefficient Giving, formerly known as Open Philanthropy, and remains its "main funders," according to the organization. Tuna serves as its president.

Coefficient Giving says its artificial intelligence work has expanded rapidly, with $168 million committed to AI safety, security and field-building in 2024 and $351 million in 2025. The organization says it is on track to commit more than $1 billion to AI policy advocacy in 2026.

In a 2021 grant application description, the organization said it seeks "to fund programs and events in a variety of areas of interest to Coefficient Giving — including effective altruism, global catastrophic risks, biosecurity, AI for epistemics, forecasting, and other areas."

After Texas’ thrilling 24-23 comeback win, Sarkisian ran away from Rowe as she attempted to interview him, leaving the ESPN reporter visibly dismayed. On Saturday, prior to the highly anticipated matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 14 Tennessee at Neyland Stadium, Rowe interviewed Sarkisian right before kickoff, and it went off without a hitch.

Rowe referenced Arch Manning’s Hall of Fame uncle, Peyton Manning, and how members of the Manning family have played well at Neyland Stadium before asking Sarkisian how he had told Arch to make the game his own.

The postgame interview after the Ohio State game went viral, but the attention didn’t stop there. Manning was asked about the viral videos after Texas’ comeback win and pointed to an AI video depicting Sarkisian slapping Rowe, which drew laughs from those in the room.

Manning has since apologized for his comments, and Sarkisian explained that ESPN was dealing with delays and said he wanted to celebrate with his team. The Texas coach said he has a "great relationship" with Rowe that dates back to his playing days at BYU.

Sylvester Stallone shares harrowing new details about abusive childhood

Sylvester Stallone isn't looking for pity.

The action star opened up about a childhood marked by abandonment, violence and an almost total absence of affection in a new interview, telling The New York Times that he deliberately left some of the darkest stories out of his book because he didn't want readers to feel sorry for him.

"I didn't put a lot of stuff in the book because I didn't want a pity party … but it was insane," he admitted.

After his parent’s divorce, Stallone spent time living with his father in Maryland. He described his father as volatile and physically abusive.

"The next thing you know — wham! He had very big hands. You just learned to duck a little bit."

One memory particularly stayed with Stallone.

The Hollywood star said his father sent him to a store before church to buy bread. He returned with nut bread after running into friends.

"And he kicked me in the stomach and hit me and like laid me out, got in the car, and went to church."

Stallone said he was left lying in the street, saying, "Really, it's unbelievable. It's unbelievable."

Years later, Stallone confronted his father. When he was in his 40s, Stallone told him, "I wish you and I could be the same age for three minutes." When his father asked him why, he said, "Because I'd like to give you some of your own medicine, and you would know what it'd be like to have your ass kicked."

Stallone said his father then challenged him to fight, explaining, "He was ready to go at 68 years old."

The "Rocky" star connected that fierceness to the one of the characters he's best known for.

"So, when people go, ‘Where do you get the ferocity to play Rambo?' Genetic," he said.

Stallone additionally recalled that his mother never showed affection towards him.

"My mother never — and my brother will attest — hugged me. Ever, ever," Stallone shared.

His father rarely showed affection either. But when Stallone was about 9, he said he fell asleep in the car after working around his father's horses. His father placed Stallone's head on his knee and rested his hand on his head.

"And I never got over that," he admitted.

Earlier in the interview, Stallone described being sent to live in a boarding house when he was very young, where his parents visited only once a month.

"I just was raised by strangers, you know, in a boarding house. And it became sort of a natural environment. And my parents were really never nurturing, so this was actually a bonus compared to where I was living."

That emotional deprivation, Stallone acknowledged, shaped the man he became.

When asked whether it made him tough, he replied, "In the wrong way, yeah, it did. It made me very tough."

But the toughness came at a cost. Stallone said he didn't experience what he considers "real, real, real, real true love" until he was around 70, when he experienced it with his wife and kids, saying, "And that's a big pity. It really is."

Stallone went on to build one of Hollywood's most recognizable careers, writing and starring as Rocky Balboa and going on to play John Rambo. The original "Rocky" received 10 Oscar nominations and won three Academy Awards, including best picture.

Off-screen, Stallone has five children from two of his three marriages.

We’re already onto Week 3 in the 2026 NFL season, and teams are beginning to show their identities, proving they could be playoff contenders, or worse, teams that need some serious changes.

And while some squads have been surprises in good fashion, others haven’t.

For future Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski, the Los Angeles Chargers fall into the latter bucket.

"The Los Angeles Chargers I would say are probably the biggest mess in the NFL in terms of how they’re playing and where they should be," he told OutKick in New York City during an event for Bounty.

In the spirit of his partnership, we asked "Gronk" who is biggest mess in the NFL is after the first two weeks. He brought up the Miami Dolphins at first, but he believes it was "expected" considering their roster questions entering the season.

But nobody expected the Chargers, a team led by head coach Jim Harbaugh with new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, to be 0-2 after facing the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders – two teams that many didn’t predict to have playoff hopes in 2026 – to start the year.

So, Gronkowski was quite candid about what he’s seen thus far in Inglewood, California from that group.

"That’s a mess over there right now," he said. "They gotta just grab a Bounty paper towel and wipe off all their linemen, because they’re not clean. They’re dirty and they’re falling all over the place. Get the blocks down schematically and keep Justin Herbert clean in the pocket so he can perform."

The Chargers were expected to be a team to watch for the Super Bowl this season, especially with McDaniel coming in with his explosive offensive scheme. But the Chargers have produced just 14 points per game across their two contests, which is the third-lowest average in the league thus far. They are also 23rd in total offensive yards averaged per game, and the tape shows why.

Herbert is having a rough time finding any rhythm on offense, and while the offensive line, a pain point for the Chargers in recent seasons, has a lot to do with it, he’s also not making the plays many expect him to thus far. Herbert has thrown just two touchdowns, while being picked off three times in two games. He’s also completed just 59.3% of his passes.

However, Gronkowski implored that one player, even if it is your quarterback, can’t take sole blame for a team not hitting the mark everyone expected them to.

"It’s not just one thing that’s going wrong. It’s a lot of things going wrong," Gronkowski said. "The quarterback just not playing good ball, the offensive coordinator just not reading his team and not putting them in the right position. Offensive line is stinking it [up]. The wide receivers just not making the plays when they need to. It’s a collective of everything. Like, it’s in the air – it’s not just one thing.

"So, you have to fix everything as a whole when you go down that low. …It’s football. It’s such a team game that one player can’t make you collapse the way they’re collapsing. It’s everyone as a whole."

It’s still just two games into the season, but the Chargers have a gauntlet of a schedule moving forward. They will head to Buffalo this week to face the 2-0 Bills, while having to take on the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens after that.

Legal expert details what travelers are entitled to after massive East Coast flight cancellations

After a severed fiber optic cable disrupted thousands of flights to and from East Coast airports on Monday, customers are entitled to a full refund under U.S. law, but they also have other options, Eric Napoli, the chief legal officer at AirHelp, told Fox News Digital.

"Under U.S. domestic law on flights, the rules are that you're entitled to a full cash refund," Napoli explained.

"If you are flying to and from Europe and fall under European rules, if the cause of the delay is directly attributable to the airline, then you could be entitled to up to $700. In this case, this is completely outside of the airline's control. This is a tower-to-ground issue, so you don't get any compensation. But what you are entitled to is — if you decide not to take that flight, or whatever flight they give you next — a full cash refund," Napoli said.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy blamed Amtrak for the cancellations, claiming that a construction crew cut the cable. However, the company quickly pushed back.

"This incident occurred on New Jersey Transit property and involved a New Jersey Transit contractor," Amtrak said in a statement.

NJ Transit acknowledged working on the site where the cable was cut, but claimed "the crew was digging approximately 10 feet away from the utility markings."

Because the incident was not caused by any of the airlines, customers traveling to and from Europe are not entitled to a $700 cash payment that European law would entitle them to if the airport caused the delays, Napoli said.

"In this scenario, European law wouldn't say that the airline has to pay compensation because the network connectivity issue was completely outside of the airline's control — as it would be, for example, if a hurricane were flying in. If the aircraft had a technical issue and they weren't able to fix it in time, that's part of the airline's business and operating model, so an airline would have to pay up to $700," he told Fox News Digital.

Customers are entitled to a full cash refund under U.S. law. However, if they take an offer from the airlines to rebook their flights, they lose the option to get a refund, Napoli said.

"Generally what happens is the airline will come to the passenger and say, 'Either we've canceled the flight or we've rescheduled the flight for the next day, and we've put you on another flight.' The passenger then has the option to say, 'Do I want to take the other flight, or do I not want to?' Maybe now there's no reason to go see the game in Philadelphia, so you don't want to be rescheduled. In that case, you get your money back. If you decide to take the flight, then you wouldn't get your money back because you have consumed a service," he explained.

He recommended customers take initiative in receiving their refunds rather than waiting for the airlines to reimburse them.

"Generally, if you don't ask for it, you're not going to get it, so you have to be pretty proactive. Airlines have gotten really good now with offering rescheduled flights in their apps, because a situation like this is also a headache for them. The airlines have to suddenly find all of these people and rebook them. It's Tetris — along with the domino effect of delay after delay. The airlines will try to help, but for other things like getting a food voucher, a taxi, or a hotel, the traveler is going to have to be savvy and proactive," he continued.

"Having information beforehand and knowing how to navigate is always best. Be prepared. Things can go wrong, and we get angry and upset. But getting angry at the people at the airport desk doesn't help the situation — it just makes you angrier. It's best to keep calm, talk to people civilly, and hopefully, things will work out," he told Fox News Digital.

Donald Trump has arrived in Tennessee for the biggest college football game of the day, and — to the surprise of approximately nobody — the Neyland Stadium crowd went nuts as Air Force I flew over the stadium.

The president arrived in Knoxville about 40 minutes before kickoff of today's marquee showdown between the Vols and No. 1 Texas. It's the first meeting between the two schools since the Cotton Bowl in 1969. Tennessee comes in ranked 14th in the country, while the Longhorns are No. 1 and two weeks removed from an upset of Ohio State.

That was in Austin, though. Today's game is in Knoxville, with the eyes of everyone — including the president — on them.

Bill Maher credits Trump’s ‘kick a--’ crime approach as violent offenses fall across America

Comedian Bill Maher offered surprising praise for President Donald Trump's handling of crime Friday, telling his audience that the president's tough-guy persona may have played a role in a nationwide drop in violent crime.

"It's not just drug crime that's way down, it's all crime," Maher said during Friday’s episode of HBO’s "Real Time," adding, "And again, probably much of it is not political. It's because you can't move two inches in America without being tracked, photographed, and followed by a Flock camera."

According to the late-night host, the president is a "bad a--" and it's childish to pretend" his tough on crime stance isn't having an impact.

Maher went on to credit both Democratic policies and Trump with contributing to lower nationwide crime rates.

According to the FBI’s Crime Data Explorer, reported violent crime nationwide fell 9% from June 2025 through May 2026. Robbery saw the steepest drop, at 19.4%, followed by murder at 18.7%, rape at 10% and aggravated assault at 6.2%.

Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jason Pack also pointed to the potential for bipartisan agreement on crime, telling Fox News Digital that "people may have strong disagreements with other parts of an agenda," but that "there can still be common ground around getting violent offenders off the street and making neighborhoods safer."

"People can and do disagree about politics. That’s nothing new. That’s not red or blue. It seems to me that’s red, white and blue."

The White House also praised the decline in crime, pointing to the statistics in a statement to Fox News Digital.

US, China strike deal to lower tariffs on $30B in goods after Trump-Xi Washington summit

The United States and China agreed to lower tariffs on $30 billion worth of goods traded between the two countries following a three-day summit between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington, D.C.

According to the White House, the $30 billion in reciprocal tariff reductions apply to "non-sensitive goods."

U.S. exports including agricultural products, fish and seafood, logs and wood products, cosmetics and medical devices will receive favorable tariff treatment in China. Meanwhile, U.S. imports of Chinese-made small appliances, toys, holiday decorations and children's car seats will also receive preferential treatment.

The agreement was reached through the U.S.-China Board of Trade, a body first proposed during Trump's visit to China in May and formally established during Xi's visit to Washington this week.

XI PRAISES US STATE VISIT 'PERFECTION' AS TRUMP CALLS MEETINGS 'VERY PRODUCTIVE'

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer told CNBC on Friday that "a lot more details" about the new trade agreement will be released on Monday.

Greer said the tariff terms were hammered out after weeks of negotiations. Neither country has released the final tariff rates or all the products that will receive favored status going forward.

This marks one of the most significant cooldowns in the trade war Trump launched against China in February 2025, when he levied a 10% tariff on all Chinese imports, citing Beijing's alleged role in the fentanyl crisis and illegal immigration. China hit back with levies on U.S. coal, liquefied natural gas, crude oil and cars.

At their peak, U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods reached a staggering 145% in April 2025, shortly after Trump unveiled his "Liberation Day" reciprocal tariffs. China responded with tariffs of up to 125% on U.S. goods.

U.S. and Chinese negotiators met in Geneva in May 2025 and agreed to a 90-day truce that lowered U.S. tariffs to 30% and China's to 10%. The agreement was extended for another 90 days in August.

Trump and Xi reached another tentative agreement during talks in South Korea in October 2025. Under the deal, China agreed to crack down on fentanyl precursors, resume purchases of U.S. soybeans and ease restrictions on rare-earth exports, while the United States agreed to further ease tariffs.

The two countries will now use the Board of Trade to negotiate additional tariff reductions and other trade disputes, leaving open the possibility of broader agreements in the months ahead.

Craig Carton called out investigative reporter Pablo Torre for his focus on Tim Tebow in a recent report on Life Surge.

Torre alleged that the Christian-focused organization used Tebow as part of a predatory business model that pressured people to hand over thousands of dollars for advice without seeing a return on their investment.

Carton called Torre a "brilliant investigative reporter" but criticized him for linking Tebow to the organization’s alleged conduct without establishing that Tebow knew about it.

"Tim Tebow doesn't deserve to be dragged into this unless you got him nailed. And if you don't have him nailed to the cross on this story, you have defamed him. And if I'm Tim Tebow, I find that to be actionable. I find that to be regrettable," Carton said on a recent episode of OutKick’s "The Craig Carton Show."

Tebow has since come out and said he is "pausing" his relationship with Life Surge.

"I think the allegations are extremely, extremely serious, and it’s something that we take very serious," Tebow told The Gainesville Sun. "And so, for us, we’re having our team do an investigation, but also pausing our relationship until we can learn more about the facts to be able to understand more."

Mother Jones, which collaborated with Torre on the investigation, reported that Tebow spoke at 20 Life Surge events between 2024 and 2025 and was slated to speak at about as many events in 2026. Carton took no issue with Torre’s investigation but lambasted Torre for what the longtime radio host characterized as using Tebow’s name to further his own career.

We need to get district attorneys involved and do a thorough, real investigation to see if they’re committing some type of predatory fraud against honest, God-fearing, blue-collar people who might be losing their life savings under the guise of religion," Carton said.

"That would be awful if that's happening. But how dare you sully the name and reputation of a man who has only done things for others? A man that has dedicated his life to service of his Lord."

Carton criticized Torre for putting Tebow in a bad spot when his reporting did not establish that the Florida Gators legend knew about or participated in the alleged conduct. Carton argued that the report forced Tebow to put out a statement and damaged his public reputation.

Scientists reveal surprisingly easy exercise that may boost your mood in just 10 minutes

It might not take an all-out sprint or long trail run to lift your mood and sharpen focus, according to a new study.

A new study from the University of Tsukuba in Japan looked at 24 healthy young adults who completed a slow, 10-minute run on the treadmill in one session and rested in another.

After the easy jog, participants performed faster on a test of attention and self-control and reported feeling more alert and pleasant than they did after the resting phase, according to the small study, published in the journal Imaging Neuroscience in August.

'PERFECT' WORKOUT FORMULA CAN TAKE JUST 10 MINUTES A DAY, HILARIA BALDWIN SAYS

Brain monitoring after the jog also showed more activity in parts of the prefrontal cortex, the area of the brain responsible for focus and decision-making.

The jog was purposely kept easy, with participants going at speeds from 1.9 to 3.7 mph on the treadmill. Their average heart rates clocked in at 105 to 107 beats per minute.

"A single bout of running, even at very slow speed, elicits a pleasant mood and improved executive function," the researchers found.

The finding "sheds light on the slow running benefits to brain health," they added.

The benefits, they noted, stuck around even after participants' heart rates returned to baseline.

The greater the up-and-down head movement during the jog, the more positive the participants' mood was afterward, though that finding was exploratory and does not necessarily prove cause and effect.

Experts agree, however, that it does not mean one brief workout could be a cure-all.

"A brief jog should help someone get some energy in their system, which may make them feel better about themselves mentally and help them focus," said Dr. Scott Nass, a California-based family medicine physician at SwiftCareMD.

But Nass, who also wasn't involved in the research, said that the effect is likely temporary.

For a practical approach, La Puma suggested taking a 10-minute walk outside before the most mentally demanding part of the day.

Add 30-second jogging intervals, keeping the pace easy enough to speak in full sentences without becoming breathless, he said.

"Mike & Molly" star Billy Gardell is sharing how his dramatic weight loss following his bariatric surgery in 2021 has changed his life.

During a recent appearance on the "Breaking Bread" podcast, the 57-year-old actor said his decision to undergo the surgery "probably saved my life" and described the circumstances which led to him deciding that was the right route for him.

He explained that he had developed type 2 diabetes, as well as "some cholesterol stuff, some heart stuff," joking that his doctor told him that "after 50 the warranties start running out."

"You can't outrun those. I think the only reason I was able to survive as long as I did is one, I got decent genetics, and two was I played some sports when I was younger. So I was a big fat guy, but I was a pretty solid fat guy, and I could carry the weight for a long time, but eventually you can't outrun that."

After a certain point, Gardell said his doctor approached him and said, "You have to do something."

"I got to the point where I hurt my knee and I couldn't even walk for exercise, and I was like, I have to do something drastic," he said. "So I got the surgery, and it's been a couple years now and I probably saved my life. I'm not on any medication. Diabetes is gone."

Five years after the surgery, the actor explained he has "to be real selective" about what he eats, because he only has "12 ounces to work with," but said the issue with that is "the fat Hulk is still running around" in his mind wanting to overindulge.

Aside from saving his life, the surgery and resulting weight loss also allowed him to do things he couldn't do before, including hiking with his wife and buying something "off the rack" when shopping at the mall.

"It's just those little freedoms that you go, 'Wow, man. I'm so grateful I can do this now,'" he said. "I know those are simple, stupid things, but they mean the world to me."

Gardell explained he decided to get healthy not only for himself, but also for his wife, Patty Knight and their son, William, calling them "my motivating factors."

"It was like I don't want to survive what I've survived, succeed where I succeeded, and then not be able to get out of a chair. So I had to look that in its face. And for anybody out there struggling, if I can do it, you can do it. And don't let nobody tell you different. Do whatever it takes."

Throughout his life, Gardell said he would often fluctuate, losing and gaining 30 pounds every year, noting at his heaviest, he weighed 379 pounds.

During an interview with People in December 2025, the actor said he now maintains his weight through diet and exercise, noting, "I fluctuate between 210 and 215" pounds.

Gardell rose to fame on the hit sitcom "Mike & Molly," playing Melissa McCarthy's husband on the show for six seasons from 2010 to 2016.
