Adult actress Madison Ivy crashed a Lakers private dinner 'this might be the greatest moment of my whole life'

The Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast guest says a Lakers player told her she looked 'just like Jessica Rabbit' that night

Madison Ivy says she and a friend of hers once found themselves at a Los Angeles Lakers private dinner in the backroom of a steakhouse in LA.

The 37-year-old adult actress, whose real name is Clorissa Briggs, told the story during a recent appearance on the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast. The night out for the two friends started innocently enough.

Madison and her unnamed friend had dinner at BOA Steakhouse, sprinkled some "magical fungi" on dessert as they liked to do, and noticed a table of beautiful girls who were being escorted to the back by security two at a time.

MAGIC JOHNSON FACES RIDICULE FOR LOS ANGELES MAYORAL ENDORSEMENT

As the "magical fungi" kicks in, she decides it's time to find out what is going on in the back of this steakhouse. She convinces her friend to join her and the two of them head for the door in the back.

"I was confident as all hell... walk straight up to that door with those two security guards, look at both of them, and they just opened the door," Madison said.

That's when the two friends found out that the private room was occupied by the Kobe Bryant-era Lakers and the "lovely ladies" who had been taken back there by security.

ZERO BS. JUST DAKICH. TAKE THE DON’T @ ME PODCAST ON THE ROAD. DOWNLOAD NOW!

They try to lie low and sneak into the back of the room. Unfortunately, that plan didn’t work. One of the players was familiar with Madison's work and recognized her.

"If we just go stand in the background, no one is even going to notice us," she said. "One of the players, I won't name who out of respect, came right up to me and go, 'Madison Ivy, you look just like Jessica Rabbit tonight.'"

OUTKICK IS NOW ON THE FOX APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

First a member of the Lakers is familiar with her work, then he's handing out Jessica Rabbit compliments. No wonder she's not naming any names out of respect. It was a moment she's never going to forget.

"I just almost hit the floor," Madison continued. "Because I was such a fan, and I was just like, 'this might be the greatest moment of my whole life.'"

Another of the Lakers ended up hanging out with her friend, and he called her for months after that. It was overall a great night for Madison Ivy, her friend, and probably Kobe and company.

Greta: Remembering a friend, former 'On the Record' producer Matt Null

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's go "Off the Record." When I read social media or news reports about all of us in the media, I think if you only knew - knew the whole story.

Reports and tweets often suggest that we as different news organizations are at each other's throats and don't like each other. Not true. Many of us are friends. Over the years we bump in to each other at news events and often we switch networks. We are former colleagues and yes, friends.

So, when I read the morning news that producer Matt Null, who worked for us on "On The Record" and then switched to CNN for a bigger job, had died while vacationing overseas, it stopped me in my tracks. Horrible news for his family, his friends and for those of us who knew him and felt the lost.

We felt it right here at "On The Record," and I know it's very difficult for his current co-workers at CNN. Here's what CNN anchor Christine Romans said about Matt today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRISTINE ROMANS, CNN NEWS ANCHOR: I have got to tell you. He is literally the voice in our head every morning when terrible things happen around the world. He is the one who brings it to you with calm and fairness. He is someone who really made a difference in the world through his job.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Our condolences to Matt's family and loved ones, friends and television colleagues through the years. He will be missed. He was only 34.

Greta: We're drowning in political cesspool, but ...

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." You have heard me say this before: This year's presidential race is wild. And that is an actually a polite way to describe it.

Donald Trump trash-talked Secretary Hillary Clinton, said she is a "crooked" liar. Secretary Clinton, she fires right back with trash talk, saying Trump is temperamentally unfit, that maybe he is unhinged. And don't let him near the nuclear codes or else, right? That is what she said.

But when you hear this stuff, don't you wonder, what are the nation's children thinking? Trust me, and I understand your skepticism.

But this political insanity - this cesspool - it will end. We've got to wait until November 8th. That is when the losing candidate will no doubt call the winner and in a bizarre transformation of personality, graciously congratulates the winner. And the winner will graciously accept. Meanwhile, you and I think, now they are nice to each other? What happened? Just minutes before, they were at each other's throats, six straight months of nothing but rotten insults.

Yeah, even with a concession call, the nation will still have bruises. But the nation will get through it. We always do. And then, come January 2017, one man or one woman will take the oath and be loaned - only loaned - power. And the American people don't give power; we only loan it.

I agree - we are drowning in a political cesspool. But I have great faith in it and in all of us. We will get through it. We always do.

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Where is the commitment to finding Bob Levinson?

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's go "Off the Record." Of course, I'm thrilled that Pastor Saeed Abedini and Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian and Amir Hekmati are free from Iran's vicious prison.

In January, when they were released, I was so excited that I followed their release second-by-second, from the time they arrived at the Teheran airport, to wheels up, flown to safety by our very good friends, the Swiss.

But one American was not part of that prisoner swap. He was left behind. Missing former FBI agent Bob Levinson - he was last seen in Iran on March 9, 2007. Where is he? I don't know. Neither does his heartbroken family. But Iran does.

And why hasn't President Obama, with all his dealings with Iran, figured out how to put pressure on Iran to at least tell the Levinson family. Is he dead or alive? I don't buy that it's an impossible task to get that information for the family out of Iran. I just don't see the commitment.

Now the Obama administration claims that finding Bob Levinson is a high priority. But it can't be that high 7 1/2 years into Obama's presidency. When it comes to Bob Levinson, we are exactly where we were at the beginning of his presidency - nowhere. Is that your definition of high priority? Not mine.

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Justice Ginsburg may want to check the mirror on her Trump insults

By Greta Van Susteren

When I heard that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg went off on Donald Trump calling him, a "faker" and saying Trump just says what comes into his head, my thought was "Oops. Justice Ginsburg might want to check the mirror because that's just exactly what she did. Saying whatever comes into her mind."

Now we all know she hates Trump. Hates him big-time, even threatening to move to New Zealand if he's elected. And, of course, she has a first amendment right to sling insults just like Trump does. And, again, she might want to check in the mirror on that one.

But if Trump does become president, she better recuse herself on all cases involving the White House. Because no one, not even the "New York Times" editorial page could ever think she could be fair.

And now I wonder what other biases are consuming her. And, by the way, she also took a slap at the press for being too gentle on Trump about not disclosing his tax returns. Meanwhile, she has no criticism for the press for being too gentle on Secretary Clinton for not disclosing transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs.

Now, what's with that? Double standard? Bias? And that's my 'Off the Record" comment.

Greta: Bahamas thinks US is dangerous as Yemen - and I'm mad

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's go "Off the Record." Really? The Bahamas?

Did you hear what their government did? You know those pretty little islands next door? Well, they are now putting us - that would be you - on the samefooting that our State Department puts Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan and a few others. How? Well on Friday, the government of the Bahamas issued a travel advisory to its citizens, warning them about traveling to cities in the United States affected by recent police shootings of black men.

Their travel advisories were directed, in particular, to their young male citizens, urging them to be cautious in their interactions with police in those cities. And it is not just the Bahamas; two other nations this weekend, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates, likewise issued travel warnings to their citizens about traveling here, urging them to stay away from protests and demonstrations.

Now, I find these travel warnings annoying and even insulting to 99.99 percent of our police, who day in and day out put their lives on the line to protect us. And I also find their warnings insulting to Americans. We're proud of our first amendment right to peacefully protest. We're not Syria. We're not Iran, Yemen, or South Sudan, where there is no first amendment.

And if citizens from other nations don't want to come here and visit for whatever reason, well, they are the ones missing out, because in spite of it all, we work to make it better. It's a great nation.

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: A message to families of the Dallas fallen, police everywhere

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." I don't have any words to console the families of the men in Louisiana, Minnesota, or the police officers in Dallas, because words are inadequate. We are our mourning, grieving. And I wish I could do or say something to help these families, but the best I can do is, honor them.

So, I am going to use my big platform here "On The Record" to make sure we all see and remember the heroics of the Dallas police department. Look at this video. These police are running towards danger, not away. Running to help, not to hide. Running to protect and save others, not themselves.

Here is what the Dallas Police Chief David Brown had to say about these heroes:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DALLAS POLICE CHIEF DAVID BROWN: Please join me in applauding these brave men and women who do this job under great scrutiny, under great vulnerability, who literally risk their lives to protect our democracy. We don't feel much support most days. Let's not make today, most days.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

To Chief Brown and all law enforcement officers from coast-to-coast, who put their lives on the line every day to protect us, I want you to know, we hear you, we appreciate you, we thank you, and yes, we support you.

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: I can't help but be suspicious of Clinton's lawyers

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." Secretary Clinton must have been paying her lawyers by the hour, telling them to keep it short, because they whizzed through her emails, just slapping the surface. They didn't bother reading the emails they sorted; they just read the headers and then said, "Job done," claiming only 30,000 emails were work-related

And then before anyone had a chance to object, they really got moving again, wiping the server clean so that the other thousands of emails on her server that they deemed personal were gone forever. And they did this months after Secretary Clinton was under a microscope over Benghazi and she knew and her lawyers knew that her emails were a key to the investigation.

They could have archived those destroyed emails. They could have done that in their law offices. They chose not to. I'm bothered by this. I'm all for effectively representing a client. But you can go too far.

And FBI Director Comey says the lawyers destroyed not just personal, but some work emails. But he said he found no evidence that it was intentional to conceal evidence. I confess I'm suspicious. In the courtroom, the judge would tell jurors they may assume that destroyed evidence would have been unfavorable to the party destroying the evidence if intentionally destroyed and done in bad faith.

So, was this destruction of emails intentional? Yes. Was the destruction done in bad faith? You decide that one.

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Khobar Towers attack, 20 years later - We must never forget

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's go "Off the Record." This year, June 25th fell on a weekend. But this day June 25th, must not go unnoticed. It's the 20th anniversary of the vicious terror attack on Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia.

Most of us may have missed the anniversary, since it happened over the weekend. But I know at least 19 families were painfully aware of this anniversary. It's a day their loved ones serving us in uniform were murdered. Nineteen U.S. Air force personnel died in that terrorist attack. More than 350 others were injured. And who did it? Hezbollah, with a truck bomb. And they bragged about it. They were proud of it.

Hezbollah is a terrorist group with a mission to destroy Israel and frankly, if given the chance, us, too. And do you know who arms Hezbollah? Where they get their money for terror? Iran. This past Friday, Hezbollah's leader boasted as long as Iran has money, we have money. And right now, well, Iran has lots of money from the nuclear deal the U.S. just struck with Iran.

But I digress. What I really wanted to do, here and now, is just to make sure, those 19 families know. Yes, we remember. We remember the names of these courageous men. They are on your screen right now. These 19 lives mattered. They are heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice and we must never forget them. June 25th, 1996.

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: I'm disappointed in our leaders - and us

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's go "Off the Record." I am disappointed in our leaders, but I'm also disappointed in us. We elected those leaders and in many instances, more than once - even many times - we reelect them, even when they fail us. We don't always learn, do we?

Now, I love the United States. I love our values. So here is more of my disappointment. I hate that we have lost the war on poverty and that we are losing the war on ISIS. What is up with that?

The war on poverty was declared more than 50 years ago. Truth is we lost that war long ago. And the proof is that poverty in this country keeps growing and growing. That is the proof. Our politicians long ago seemed to have given up winning the war on poverty. Now they are just satisfied to throw money at it. Your money, it seems, but that obviously hasn't worked.

And no leader has shown the leadership or the moral conscience to step up with a new plan, one that actually works. I would like to win the war on poverty.

And what about that other war we are losing against ISIS?

Losing that war is likewise immoral and dangerous. President Obama said two and a half years ago ISIS was "JV" and now, well according to CIA Director Brennan, ISIS is bigger, stronger and now global. That is proof we're losing, and you and I both know our nation should do better and we can do better.

Why are our leaders and why are we accepting failure? That is so messed up. And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Netanyahu's right - We must work together in war on terror

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." I'm giving my "Off the Record" segment tonight to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said these words about Orlando, and I thought you would want to hear them:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER: This week's shooting wasn't merely an attack on the LBGT community. It was an attack on all of us, on our common values of freedom, and diversity, and choice. Radical Islam terror makes no distinction between shades of infidel. This week it was gays in Orlando, a few days before that it was Jews in Tel Aviv. Before that it was music fans in Paris, travelers in Brussels, Yazidis in Iraq, and community workers in San Bernardino, Christians and journalists in Syria. All of us are targets. We will not be terrified into submission. We will fight back. And we will triumph.

Today I ask you to reach out to friends and the LBGT community. Comfort them. Tell them you stand together. We stand together as one. And that you will always remember the victims. Tell them they will never be alone, that we're all one family deserving of dignity, deserving of life. I have no doubt that those who seek to spread hate and fear will be defeated. Working together, will defeat them even faster. We need to stand united, resolute in the belief that all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, regardless of their race, regardless of their ethnicity, all people deserve respect, deserve dignity.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

He's right. We all have to work together to stamp out terrorism. So, for starters, President Obama, as the leader of the last world super power, he needs to lead. He needs to convene world leaders now. Mr. President, how about it?

That is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: NY Times uses Orlando massacre in its agenda against Republicans

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." The New York Times is doing something really lame. They are using the great pain of that vicious terrorism of Orlando to fuel its agenda.

It's no secret the editorial page in the New York Times hates Republicans. But this, in its lead editorial, the Times blames Republicans for the massacre of 49 innocents? Well, the editorial reads, in part, "While the precise motivation for the rampage remains unclear, it is evident that Mr. Mateen was driven why hatred towards gays and lesbians. Hate crimes don't happen in a vacuum. They occur where bigotry is allowed to fester, where minorities are vilified and where people are scapegoat for political gain. Tragically, this is the state of American politics, driven too often by Republican politicians who see prejudice as something to exploit, not extinguish."

Really? It's the Republicans' fault? That is what the New York Times editorial board thinks, the Republicans? I just got back from Orlando, and down there they are blaming the killer Mateen. And Mateen said he did it for ISIS.

But I get it. The New York Times hates the Republicans, and can't help themselves. By the way the editorial board made no mention and did not blame ISIS, radical Islam or extremism. They blame the Republicans. That is a bit messed up, isn't it?

And that is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." There is a lot going on right now, especially in politics. But I thought we should all just take a minute, take a deep breath, and remember some very brave men who, 72 years ago today on D-Day, stormed the beaches on western France.

The one who described that day best was President Ronald Reagan. Here's the former president, 32 years ago on the 40th anniversary of D-Day:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RONALD REAGAN, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: Behind me is a memorial that symbolizes the Ranger daggers that were thrust into the top of these cliffs. And before me are the men who put them there. These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent. These are the heroes who helped end a war.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Now, if you are related to one of those heroes, I'm jealous because I would have love to know any one of them. They saved the world. We're going to be forever grateful to them.

That is my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: More bad news dogs TSA and our airlines

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." TSA has been getting barbecued for those long lines causing people to miss flights. That bad news coming after reports that the TSA failed 95 percent of its mock explosives test.

And today more scary news, for the last six years, an accused Somali war criminal has been working as a security guard at Dulles Airport near Washington. And get this? The guy passed both FBI and TSA background checks. Bad, huh?

And what about the airlines? During apparently good weather, aUnited Airlines pilot bounced a 767 on the Newark Airport runway, then aborted that landing, trying a second landing and bouncing the plane again causing the cabin ceiling to fall on passengers. It took a third try to land. So far, no explanation from United. What's with that?

But it's not just TSA and the airlines. How about us, our manners? Take a look at us, or maybe you don't want to take a look at this. JetBlue told this woman she could not board unless she changed out of those shorts. This passenger apparently thinks it's an appropriate dress for flying among families with kids. Ok, maybe you do, too, but what about this passenger? A man was kicked off a Flybe plane in Ireland for taking photos of a flight attendant's rear end. You heard right, pictures of a flight attendant's rear end.

So yes, the TSA needs to improve and so do the airlines But so do some passengers. Whatever happened to common sense and good taste? And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Ken Starr and Baylor scandals: We live in unusual times

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's go"Off the Record." We sure live in unusual times, don't we?

Remember the investigation of President Bill Clinton involving Monica Lewinsky. The investigation was led by then-independent counsel Ken Starr. Every day it was headline, and during the house impeachment hearing Starr had this to say about President Clinton:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KENNETH STARR, INDEPENDENT COUNSEL: He could choose truth or he could choose deception. On all six occasions, the president chose deception, a pattern of calculated behavior over a span of months.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Now, fast forward to today. Starr has been the president and chancellor of Baylor University, which is now embroiled in its own sex scandal.

After an investigation founded the Baylor administration tried to cover up sexual assault allegations against their football team, Starr was booted as Baylor president. And today, he resigned from his second position, chancellor saying it was a matter of conscience.

Starr will continue to teach at the law school. But ponder this thought: Finally, someone is stepping down from a leadership position for the right reasons. At least I hope it was that, and not a matter of hypocrisy, meaning quitting after getting caught.

And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: How about the TSA use their heads?

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." How about someone using his head? I'm talking about those who run the TSA.

It is bad enough the TSA 95 percent of the time flunk the mock explosives test. But what about those lines? Can't they figure that one out? There are long lines because there are choke points at security. Why the choke points? Because of all the bags people are carrying on board.

It's not that difficult to figure that one out. Duh, even the TSA administrator admits there are four times more bags in the last couple of years. Now passengers are carrying on board everything but their kitchen sink.

And why? Well, two reasons. If you check your bag, it's likely to get lost or end up in some other city or it takes forever for the airline to unload it. And the second reason is because the airlines, in their great wisdom, are charging extra money to check bags. So no one wants to check bags.

So think about it. What if, instead, the airlines give great service, got your bags to destination and quickly unloaded them to the baggage carousel and they didn't charge you to check the bag? But instead, they charge us $50 for any carry-on item beyond one.

People would stop bringing everything they own on board - and thus through security - and this would end the congestion at security and move a lot faster. So before TSA spends millions of dollars - your dollars - trying to come up with a complicated solution for those lines, why not do the obvious? At least try it for two weeks. See if I'm right.

And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Veterans Affairs needs to pull his foot out of his mouth

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." Does anyone have pliers? Because we need to help get the Department of V.A. Secretary Bob McDonald's foot out of his mouth.

At least I hope it's just his foot in his mouth and not some deep-seeded insensitivity to the grave needs of our injured vets. Here is what Secretary McDonald said earlier today about why he doesn't think releasing data on V.A. wait times is important.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BOB MCDONALD, U.S. SECRETARY OF VETERANS AFFAIRS: What really counts, is, how does the veteran feel about they're encounter with the V.A.? When you go to Disney, do they measure the number of hours you wait in line or the number -- you know, what's important? What's important, is, what's your satisfaction with the experience?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Really? Veterans waiting for a medical care at the V.A., is like waiting for a ride at Disney World? That is so bad. And why so cavalier about the pain that waiting causes the men and women who didn't make the American people wait when they protected us?

Many of our vets say they are in excruciating pain from serious injuries, from IEDs to permanent traumatic brain injury. They are desperate for help. And we Americans promise to help them and we owe it to them.

Does the secretary think waiting is not a big deal? And note to the secretary - the wait time is both the experience and encounter with the V.A. I want that wait time data that he doesn't want us to get. It will show us if Secretary McDonald is doing his job to take care of the vets or not.

And if he doesn't, get him out of there. That's the least you and can I do for our vets. And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: ObamaCare fight with nuns didn't have to go to SCOTUS

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." You know what is really obnoxious? When your government is stubborn and it costs you.

Case in point - Little Sisters of the Poor versus Burwell, essentially nuns versus President Obama and ObamaCare. And the Little Sisters, they did not want their religious rights stepped on by ObamaCare by being force to pay for contraception for employees. And President Obama, through ObamaCare, would not budge, ordering the nuns to pay for contraception's or pay a nearly $70 million fine. Those nuns can't pay $70 million. Sisters of the Poor, right?

Well the Supreme Court stepped in, came up with a simple fix and good for them. But tell me this: Why did it get to this? What a waste of time and money. And get this: The Obama administration exempted many others but just decide no exemption for the nuns. What's with that? Picking on the nuns, if you ask me.

So the nuns didn't want to go to court, but they had no choice. And you, as a taxpayer, had to pay the government lawyer's bill to fight the nuns just because the Obama administration was stubborn, maybe stupid, picking a fight with them. It's more government waste.

But what did the government lawyers care? Its other people's money - yours.

And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Where is the 'news' in the NY Times Trump piece?

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." First make sure you hear this: I'm not - I repeat, I'm not - in favor of boorish behavior towards women. It is rude and bad manners, whether it'sdirected a man a woman, Democrat or Republican. You got that?

Now this: What was the New York Times thinking, putting this article out about Donald Trump on the front page and above the fold? The headline reads, "Crossing the line: Trump's private conduct with women." With the story's placement, the New York Times is acting like it thinks it has just found another set of the Pentagon papers.

And what does the article say about Trump? One of the key players in the piece disputes the story, saying the New York Times twisted her words.

But there is more. What's the news? That Trump uses boorish words? Who didn't know that? Trump had a spat with Rosie O'Donnell years ago that got plastered coast-to-coast. Everyone knows that. Note to the New York Times: This is not investigative journalism. It's old news.

But, with a new agenda, I can't help but wonder where was that New York Times front page - above the fold outrage - eight years ago with all the boorish things said about another woman, Governor Sarah Palin? No place, because she does not count. Because she was not a woman the Times cares about. They care about their agenda.

P.S. Note to media: Be fair to Hillary Clinton, too. And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." Yes, I know they all do it, but really? If you don't show up at your job for months on end, would you still have it? No. You would be fired.

Check this out: Today, Senator Ted Cruz is back in the Senate, casting his first roll call vote since suspending his presidential campaign. But the last time he showed up to vote in the Senate - which was his job and salary you pay - was February 10th. That is three months ago. Senator Cruz has missed 64 of 70 roll call votes.

Senator Cruz is not the only one. Former presidential candidate Senator Marco Rubio missed 34 of 38 votes from January through March, when he suspended his presidential campaign. What about Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders? He has missed 69 of the 70 roll call votes this year. He hasn't been at work since January 12.

Yeah, running for president, it is time consuming. But we have three airports in the D.C. area and each of the candidates is flying around on a private planes. That means it could have been no sweat to show up at work at least once a week or once a month to vote.

Think about it. If they can't multitask enough to show up once a month to do their jobs -- jobs they ask for and we pay them to do - how can they expect to be the president with all those duties that the president has? It's pretty obvious - either they can't multi-task, that's a bad sign or they don't care. Take your pick; both are lousy.

And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." President Obama said this today about the 2016 presidential race.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BARRACK OBAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: I just want to emphasize the degree to which we are in serious times and this is a really serious job. This is not entertainment. This is not a reality show. This is a contest for the presidency of the United States and what that means is that every candidate, every nominee needs to be subject to exacting standards and genuine scrutiny.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Not entertainment? Not reality TV? Well, that's a thinly-veiled reference to Republican candidate Donald Trump. And I realize this is politics, and both parties can't resist getting their digs in, making cracks. some use crass language, some use a calm voice, but I do agree with president Obama. Running for president is not about entertainment.

It's a very serious job, but let's be honest: It isn't just one party in the entertainment business. Remember President Obama's appearance on "Between Two Ferns"? Or what about being interviewed by a woman who is known for eating cereal out of a bathtub? That's not exactly hard-hitting news. It's showbiz, and yet they all do it.

But, of course, each denies it. That's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Shame on AP for taking cheap shot at American hero

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." One of our heroes, a Navy SEAL, Charles Keating IV, was killed Tuesday in Iraq. Now, it happened during a battle with ISIS. He was only 31, yet already highly accomplished and extremely courageous.

Keating died for our nation, for all of us. And what does the Associated Press do? The unthinkable. Now ordinarily, I think the A.P. is the gold standard - just the facts. None of that snarky stuff. But this A.P. headline is indecent swipe: "Navy SEAL killed in Iraq was close to disgraced grandfather."

His grandfather was Charles Keating Jr., who went to prison for his role of in the savings and loan scandal in the 1980s. True. But did the A.P. really have to put that in the headline? "Disgraced"? That this slain Navy Seal was close to his "disgraced" grandfather?

Sure, it's news. But where is the good judgment? Good manners? Put that ugly family history in the body of the article, not in the headline of a killed hero. It only smears him. It hurts his family.

And yes, I bet this young Navy SEAL, Charles Keating IV, was close to his grandfather. We all love our family. But that's not why the A.P. wrote that headline. They did it to create buzz, be snarky. That is why people hate the media - bad manners, and bad judgment.

So, let me show good manners and thank Charles Keating IV and his family for this ultimate sacrifice. No snarky headlines here, just immense gratitude. And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Sanders got his poster child for corporate greed

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." Senator Bernie Sanders just got his pin-up girl, his poster child, for corporate glut - Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo!. Rumors are she is about to get the boot. Don't worry she won't have to stand in line at Kinkos, printing a batch of resumes. That is because the Yahoo! severance package sure is a meaty one - $55 million.

Yes, $55 million for failing and getting the boot. I bet you would have been willing to get fired for a whole lot less than that. I know I would have, which brings me to the real culprits, the board of directors at Yahoo!. What were they thinking? While the teachers and firemen and others across the country are watching their life savings invested in Yahoo! drop, the board of directors is lavishly spending it for failure. She is not getting fired for success. Go figure.

So, okay, Bernie, I will give you this one. But here's the truth: There are millions and millions of rich people Bernie won't talk about. The ones who made their money the hard way - earning it for success and working constantly, giving back, doing good works and charity. Bernie, when are you going to start talking about them?

P.S. - and I add, tongue in cheek: No equal pay for women at Yahoo!. Get this: In 2014 Yahoo! fired a male executive, Henrique De Castro. After just 50 months on the job, he got a whopping $58 million. Now that is $3 million more than Mayer's getting and she is the CEO; he was not. She has been there nearly for four years. How about that? A golden parachute pay gap.

And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Greta: Let me clear something up about our 2016 town halls

By Greta Van Susteren

Let's all go "Off the Record." I have an answer to your question, but you're going to have to hold tight. First, my favorite part of the 2016 election are our "On the Record" live audience events, whether it's town halls or big interviews on the campaign trail, they are my favorite. Whether it's to Chicago, Milwaukee, Long Island or Indianapolis, it's great to just get out of the studio and interact with voters.

We have done town halls with Donald Trump and Governor John Kasich, but not Senator Ted Cruz. I will get to that. But I love doing town halls because you, the voters, get to ask the questions. It should be that way.

Meanwhile, though, I do read your emails and comments on Facebook page. Some of are you pounding me, saying I'm unfair, how come no town halls with Secretary Hillary Clinton, Senator Bernie Sanders, or Senator Ted Cruz. Well, you should ask them. They don't want to. And that's their business. My business is to be fair. And I think it's fair to give them equal opportunities and I have. I have offered town halls to Sanders, Clinton, and Cruz. I have even told them they could pick the state. They could pick the date.

Yet, none of those three has taken me up on the offer. And that is their right. And just to satisfy you critics, I am not going to get arrested by going out and kidnapping them and dragging them to the set.

So, there you have it. I have given all of them equal opportunity. Some have elected to do take it, some have not. But I do suspect that Kasich and Trump campaigns are licking their chops, thinking all the more time for them.

That's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.

Many of them pay an effective tax rate lower than working people.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

OK, now this, according to the Sanders tax return, he and his wife made $205,271 of taxable income in 2014. Now, that income level places him about in the top 5 percent of earners in the nation, it is not the top 1 percent, but above the top 5 percent. So, what is his tax rate? 35 percent? No. 25 percent? No. 15 percent? No, not that, either.

Try 13.5 percent. He is almost in the top 5 percent of income, and he pays less than 14 percent tax rate. Who is getting burned?

And by the way, what is his wife's phone number? I could use her accounting skills doing my taxes.
