'Obsession' Review: An innocent wish turns into a nightmare in a horror flick from talented up-and-comers

Have you ever had a mad crush on someone who didn't have feelings for you in return? Did you ever wish they loved you back?

Well, if "Obsession" teaches you anything, it's to be careful what you wish for.

The latest outing from the prolific horror production company BlumHouse follows Bear (Michael Johnston), who is absolutely smitten by longtime childhood friend Nikki (Inde Navarrette), both of whom work at a music store with their two friends Ian (Cooper Tomlinson) and Sarah (Megan Lawless). Despite his best efforts, Bear is too timid to tell her how he feels.

Stopping in a mystic shop to buy Nikki a replacement crystal necklace she lost, Bear stumbles upon a novelty toy called the "One Wish Willow." For just $6.99, one wish will be granted by breaking a piece of a painted willow in half.

Initially buying it for her, Bear ultimately uses it himself.

"I wish Nikki Freeman loved me more than anyone in the entire world," Bear said before snapping the willow in two.

Bear gets immediate results — and perhaps gets more than what he bargained for.

Nikki's newfound affection for Bear is welcomed like luring him into bed and making breakfast in the morning, but Bear can't help but notice her strange behavior ranging from staring at him while he's sleeping to sudden freak-outs. Don't even get Bear started on what she does to his poor cat Sandy...

"Obsession" doesn't have the luxury of relying on A-listers to catch the attention of moviegoers (unless you count Andy Richter, who plays the music store manager), so it must rely on raw talent, which it has plenty. Johnston does a commendable job as the emotionally distraught Bear, but Navarrette is the real breakout star, delivering a beautifully deranged performance that rivals Kathy Bates in "Misery." The way she can swing from absolute glee to pure agony, from nurturing to sociopathic on a whim is remarkable. Navarrette is certainly someone to keep an eye on.

Writer/director Curry Barker, making his feature debut, does an effective job at setting an eerie tone that gives a welcoming 80s/90s throwback vibe. His visual strength ironically shines with the low-key lighting that obscures the face of the seemingly-possessed Nikki, with only her big eyes being discernible in the shadows, which brilliantly adds to the creepiness. Barker also is able to balance sheer dread with a twisted sense of humor.

The Verdict

Resembling a fairy tale from hell, "Obsession" is a solid kickoff to summer movies for horror fans. But more importantly, it's a great launching pad for Barker as a filmmaker as well as for up-and-coming actors Navarrette and Johnston.

"Obsession" is rated R for strong bloody violence, grisly images, sexual content, pervasive language, and brief graphic nudity. Running time: 1 hour, 48 minutes. In theaters now.

Alison Sweeney has 'no regrets' leaving Los Angeles for Arizona to escape the 'rat race'

Alison Sweeney has "no regrets" about getting away from the "rat race" that is Los Angeles.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 49-year-old actress spoke about her latest Hallmark movie, "Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery," which she wrote and executive produced – based on the Hannah Swensen mysteries series of books by Joanne Fluke.

The actress also touched on the reason she chose to move out of Los Angeles to Arizona, noting the move came from "really wanting to create a great environment for my kids," saying she doesn't "regret it for a second."

"One of the first things I noticed about myself was how less stressed out I was," she explained. "They don't call it a rat race for nothing, right? Like when you're in those big cities and there's always this energy and lots of people thrive on it, but I had reached my max capacity, and it was starting to really like weigh on me and be a source of real stress to me all the time."

She explained that their life in Arizona is "a lot more laid back," noting that she is able to "work from home a lot more now" instead of going to the studio every day for different projects, including "Days of Our Lives."

The "Romance at Hope Ranch" star and her husband "make a point of sort of appreciating" the slower-paced lifestyle.

"Now we're here and our kids go to school, and we go to the school events, and we are learning to play golf, and we're enjoying a lot of trips and travel and I go up to Canada to work, but there is a peaceful net."

Her latest movie is the 14th installment in the Hannah Swensen franchise. Looking back on the success of the films, Sweeney called it "lightning in a bottle," saying sometimes, as an actor, "you just can't believe how lucky you are."

When reflecting on the success of not only this franchise, but Hallmark movies in general, Sweeney said their focus on fun movies where "you probably know it's going to be okay at the end" lends to the rewatch ability of the films, and gives them something positive to watch, noting if "you want to watch bloodshed, it's out there, it's happening."

"When I meet people about these movies, I love hearing them say like, 'oh, that scene,' and then they can quote little sections of it or little funny lines that are their favorite moments," she said.

She added: "And that to me is like the most satisfying thing about being a part of a franchise like this is the longevity that allows people to approach you about a movie four years ago, five years ago, and they can just rattle off their favorite. The latest movie, Hannah, a baker turned amateur detective investigates the murder of a key witness in a high-profile forgery case, and the disappearance of the lead prosecutor in the case. She and her primary love interest in the film and prosecutor, Chad, work together to solve the mystery before the killer strikes again, and their case falls apart.

"Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery" premieres Saturday, May 16 at 8 pm on Hallmark Channel, with streaming available the next day on Hallmark+.

Sweeney promises "a bit of growth in the relationship between" the two leads, explaining she "wanted this movie to be about Chad" and his work in the courtroom, straying from the movie's "traditional plots and storylines to really make it about this courtroom drama."

Having written the last four movies in the Hannah Swensen movies, Sweeney has developed a stronger connection with the character, telling Fox News Digital, "I love developing characters that people relate to."

"I love little nuggets of things that people can relate to and identify and have fun with," she said. "So I love the characters for those kinds of dynamics, the family dinners that they have together where they're kind of solving the mystery, but also."

Molly Sims turned heads when she arrived at the launch of the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue event in New York City.

The 52-year-old model stunned in a figure-hugging floor-length sheer black gown, which showcased her toned stomach and legs.

She paired the look with gold jewelry, a black clutch and natural makeup.

Sims appears in the issue this year, celebrating the accomplishment on her Instagram with a series of photos from inside the magazine.

The "Love Thy Nader" star famously made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in 2019 after winning an open casting call, and made it onto the cover in 2023. She appears in the magazine again this year.

This year's issue was celebrated with an exclusive party held at the Hard Rock Hotel New York, and included appearances from many big names, including three out of the four 2026 cover girls, Tiffany Haddish, Alix Earle and Nicole Williams English.

Earle walked the red carpet in a gold crocheted dress which featured cutouts throughout and fringe, which she paired with matching gold strappy heels and gold jewelry.

She reflected on what it was like traveling to Botswana for the photoshoot in an Instagram post, calling it "such a grounding/peaceful," which "was somehow so healing."

"On the way back from this trip I traveled alone, sat at lunch with strangers, and it was such a beautiful way to start the year," she wrote. "Getting to share these memories with the amazing SI team and girls is so special 🥺🤍 forever grateful to have such a beautiful memory live on with these photos."

Haddish also made a big statement on the red carpet in a red gown with a halter neckline.

Academy Award-winner Brendan Fraser named as the honorary starter for the Indianapolis 500

Friday is Fast Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as teams and drivers crank up their engines in preparation for a weekend of qualifying.

And while it got off to a soggy, delayed start, there was a big piece of news, and that is this year's honorary starter for the Indianapolis 500.

This year, the job goes to none other than actor Brendan Fraser.

IMS announced the news on Friday while everyone was waiting for the rain to clear so cars could get on track.

IndyCar and IMS President Doug Boles said that this makes Fraser a perfect choice to start a race that is an American and Memorial Day weekend tradition.

He has been in some great stuff. Maybe steer clear of the live-action "Dudley Do-Right" movie. Not his fault. That was just a terrible idea to begin with.

Early reviews for new 'Star Wars' movie are generally horrific, but does anyone even care at this point?

We're one week away from a new "Star Wars" movie hitting the theaters. That's right. For the first time in seven years, an actual Star Wars movie will be at your local AMC, should it still be open and operational.

And here's the thing ... nobody cares. How sad is that? I grew up during a time when the world revolved around the next Star Wars installment. Folks would start lining up outside the theater days in advance. Taco Bell would spend six months running promos and handing out special Qui-Gon Jinn cups. It's all folks could talk about for weeks.

And here we are in 2026 — a full seven years removed from the last Star Wars movie — and nobody cares. Worse yet, the folks who do care about the release of "The Mandalorian & Grogu" aren't painting a great picture ahead of next week's worldwide release.

Let's just say the early reviews are in, and it seems Star Wars fans may want to skip this one.

Do Star Wars fans even care at this point?

Yikes. It's just brutal. Now, to be fair, there were some positive reviews, and I'm going to get to them in a minute. But, the negatives far outweigh the positives, so we're gonna start with them.

Look, this film has a lot of pressure on it, and a lot of it probably isn't fair. Disney has, for the most part, completely botched Star Wars. The sequel trilogy was an unmitigated disaster. Most of the miniseries outside of a few have bombed.

Streaming numbers released by Nielsen last week showed fans are still watching the franchise, but only the originals and the prequels. Disney did hit a home run with "Andor," but that's about it.

So, yes, this movie about the silly baby Yoda creature has a lot riding on it. If it hits, perhaps Disney will have some real momentum for the first time since taking over the franchise. If it bombs, they're going to further alienate the fanbase.

Sadly, it looks — and feels — like a bomb. Again, there's just no juice for this movie. Even with the sequels, for as bad as they were, there was still juice.

Do fans really care about the "The Mandalorian & Grogu?" I just don't think they do. This is the first Star Wars movie in SEVEN years, and nobody is talking about it. That's a major problem for Disney. Execs should be sweating right now. Lord knows I would be.

Now, as I said, there were some positive reviews from the early screenings. Fair is fair:

See? It's not all bad! Who knows? Perhaps when the fans get to see it, they'll disagree with the reviewers. Frankly, that happens all the time. Film snobs are the worst.

‘Duck Dynasty’ star opens up about wife’s affair, says marriage ‘doesn’t have to end’ after betrayal

Al Robertson doesn’t believe a marriage always has to end after an affair.

The eldest son of Phil and Miss Kay Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" fame is joining his wife, Lisa Robertson, to confront their painful past in a new Lifetime film premiering Saturday titled "Faith & Forgiveness." The movie reveals how Lisa became involved in an extramarital relationship 15 years into their union — and how their faith ultimately restored their relationship.

"When unfaithfulness happens in a marriage, so many times, that’s the end of it, but it doesn’t have to be," Robertson told Fox News Digital. "Everything can be worked through."

"I think the reason I was willing to fight for my marriage was that I had made a lot of mistakes on my own," he admitted. "When I first met Lisa, she was actually a good girl, who had experienced some hard things in her life up until that point, but really was looking for what she called her ‘knight in shining armor,’ someone to take her hand and lead her out of some things. And I just wasn’t that guy in the early years."

The couple first met in a McDonald’s parking lot in West Monroe, Louisiana, a popular teen hangout. Robertson was 17 and a senior, while Lisa was 15 and a sophomore. They dated on and off before tying the knot in 1984. After welcoming two girls, Robertson served as a pastor at a church where his family had been members for years. Lisa found herself lonely and isolated while her husband was away.

"To be quite honest with you, I made a huge mistake in not pulling Lisa in as a partner in what we were doing, in my career and my dreams," said Robertson. "[She] was also dealing with all this internal stuff from when she was young. I just didn’t recognize it. I didn’t see it."

Lisa told Fox News Digital that behind closed doors, she struggled with memories of her childhood.

"From an early age, at age 7, I was subjected to someone molesting me," she explained. "I believe that at age 7, I began to be dishonest with who I was and what I was. I think the evil one played a huge part in that because he would constantly remind me. I believe I started on that trail of dishonesty at that point, and that darkness really began there. As I grew older, it got worse and worse."

Years later, Lisa was contacted at work by an old boyfriend. She soon found herself caught up in an affair. During the summer of 1999, Robertson became suspicious that Lisa may have been seeing someone behind his back. She repeatedly denied his accusations.

"I had prayed all through this affair that God would open a door for me to walk away and that nobody would ever find out because I didn’t want to hurt Alan," said Lisa. "I didn’t want to hurt our family. [But] I didn’t think [our marriage] would make it. If he ever found out, I just knew that it was over. I’m convinced that it’s going to be over, especially whenever he says, ‘I’m leaving.’ And I just knew it because he had always told me that. If I ever crossed the line, that would be the end of it."

Robertson used cellphone records to piece together the truth. The couple then agreed on a temporary separation.

"I think for the first few weeks, I was leaning toward thinking that it was probably over," he said. "I was just not sure if I could ever fully trust again. [I wasn’t] sure Lisa really wanted to be in our marriage. Do you really know if your spouse wants to stay? Do they want something more than you have to offer?"

Lisa recalls a moment when, overwhelmed and completely broken, she stepped into her backyard and cried out to God for forgiveness. During her prayer, she was fully honest with God about what she had done. She describes that moment as a turning point in her faith. She was ready to truly repent and begin a new life.

"The role of faith played a very significant part in my life," she explained. "Once I turned my life over to the Lord, out in the backyard, when I finally called out to God, He came and met me right there in the backyard. From that day forward, I think I knew I could make it because I’d never called on Him before. I’d never asked for His help and asked Him to rescue me. [But] He came, and He rescued me. I think that was the most important thing I did."

Lisa was not only baptized, but she surrounded herself with women who had already developed a strong foundation in their faith. Together they studied and uplifted each other. She, along with her husband, also pursued counseling.

"I changed the way I dressed," said Lisa. "I changed the way I wore makeup. I changed what I listened to. I changed the way I approached men. I changed the way I talked because I had a potty mouth. I changed so many things.

"But the first thing was that I cried out to God. The second thing was to surround myself [with those women]. But then also the third thing was counseling — finding someone who could help me get rid of those negative things in my life and finally put those to rest."

Robertson noted that in their early years together, he was unfaithful to Lisa. She not only forgave him but married him. Robertson wondered: Could he also forgive?

"What changed my mind and heart about Lisa was her," he said. "It was obvious to me from talking to friends who were with her that she wanted this marriage to stay together. She was very sorry for what had happened. She had finally come to a reckoning in her own life. She was dealing with a lot of her past through counseling, through people who were helping her life."

"I think out of my own appreciation for not only what God had done for me, but also what Lisa had done for me, it gave me that capacity to forgive infidelity," said Robertson. "Her growth as a person and as a Christian in those early weeks is what won me over to say, ‘If she has the capacity to change who she is, like I did many years earlier, then I have the capacity to forgive as God forgives.’ That’s when it all changed. We knew we were going to find our way back together."

In December 1999, the couple renewed their vows. Together, they’ve been devoted to God and each other. Over the years, they’ve traveled across the country, speaking to couples struggling in their relationships. They're happier than ever.

"To have a really strong and very intimate marriage — not just sexual intimacy, I mean spiritual, physical and emotional intimacy — there has to be honesty," said Lisa. "Honesty is the most important thing that you can do to have a very successful marriage. We also need to look at ourselves the way Jesus looks at us."

One photo showed Ballerini laying on her stomach on a beach towel while sitting on the seashore with the ocean behind her. In the photo she can be seen sporting a black and white striped bikini top, gold hoop earrings and black sunglasses, with her hair styled in braids.

While many unconfirmed rumors have swirled in recent weeks, one controversial casting choice Nolan confirmed in a Time Magazine interview on Tuesday was that Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong’o, famous for her roles in "Black Panther" and "12 Years a Slave" will play Helen of Troy, known in mythology as the world's most beautiful woman and for whom the Trojan War was started in Homer’s epic. Nyong’o will also be playing Helen’s sister, Clytemnestra in the same movie.

A user on X noted that the Academy Awards now has extensive diversity requirements. Musk agreed, writing that Nolan "wants the awards." Musk previously criticized the casting of Helen of Troy in January before, arguing that "Chris Nolan has lost his integrity."

Nolan also revealed to Time that rapper Travis Scott will be playing a Greek bard. Nolan defended the choice as an acknowledgment of poetic tradition.

"I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap," Nolan told Time Magazine.

"When I edge into territory I fear might trigger prickliness, he shrugs, says, ‘Fair enough,’ and delves earnestly into production decisions that have launched a thousand Reddit posts," the Time journalist said of his time interviewing Nolan.

"But the film also feels like a culmination," the interviewer noted. "Nolan is aware that he makes a lot of movies about brilliant men trying to get home to their families. When I ask whether he worries about fan response to repeating certain tropes, he pauses and sighs."

"Despite the fact that he doesn’t carry a smartphone, the internet has found him," the interviewer said, recalling that Nolan said of the internet’s response so far: "’You have to be comfortable with repeating yourself, if it’s right for the project. If you’re paying too much attention to what people are pointing out in your work, you'd be paralyzed."

In the footage released so far, characters in Nolan's adaptation can be seen using modernized American English terms like "Let’s go" and "Daddy." A recent promotion for the film featured NBA player LeBron James and his son, as parallels to Odysseus and his son Telemachus, where LeBron is dribbling a basketball and narrating over imagery from the film.

Some progressives have taken notice and attacked conservative criticism of the film before its release. A Variety writer mocked "literary purists" as having objections to non-White actors in traditionally White roles.

During a segment on "The View" on Thursday about the controversy, Whoopi Goldberg suggested those who had an issue with the casting just not watch the movie. She also remarked that Musk was "OK with apartheid" growing up in South Africa before hastily saying she didn't know if he was an "apartheid apologist" and "I take it back."

Fellow co-host Sunny Hostin said "racism rears its ugly head" often in the U.S. and added historians have explored that Greek mythology was influenced by ancient Egypt and North Africa.

Michael Rapaport is doubling down on his plans to run for mayor of New York City.

On Tuesday, the 56-year-old actor and comedian said he plans on running against Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who is known for his democratic socialist policies, with a "New York City street fight mentality" come 2029.

"I never thought that I would even consider running for mayor of New York City, and I will do it with the best intentions. And I won’t do it the way any other political person has ever done it," Rapaport told Chris Cuomo during an appearance on News Nation.

"The only way to beat this guy is to make it and take it with New York City street fight mentality."

The 29-year-old model and actress attended the 2026 FOX Upfronts in New York City to promote the new "Baywatch" reboot, and narrowly avoided a major wardrobe malfunction while on the red carpet.

She shared a photo on her Instagram stories of her standing in front of a mirror in a small room with the back of her dress completely busted open in the back and her white lace underwear visible through the tear.

"When you bust out of your dress 4 minutes before showtime!!! Classssssicc," she wrote over the photo, adding two laughing crying emojis.

In the new iteration of the show, Nader portrays Selene, one of the captains of the Zuma Beach Lifeguards. While she told Extra on the red carpet at the upfronts that getting cast in the role was "a pinch me moment," many fans were not happy with her involvement in the reboot.

Critics flooded social media with skepticism about the reboot’s casting choices, some calling it "influencer casting, not acting" and slamming the project as "a JOKE" with an "awful cast," after she was announced as part of the cast.

"I think that the times are different, and everyone is so multi-hyphenate now. And you can be both an actor and an influencer and have influence," Nader told the Daily Mail in March. "And that's the beauty of the culture that social media has created."

Monica Lewinsky reflected on the challenges of overcoming extreme bullying following a scandal that rocked the White House nearly 30 years ago.

Lewinsky, 52, acknowledged her "extraordinary" life progression as she was welcomed into a room full of "positivity and love" at The Beverly Hills Hotel — a stark contrast from decades of experiencing "extreme negativity."

"There have been some very dark moments. I don't want to sugar coat it," Lewinsky said in conversation with Jane Buckingham while being honored as the 2026 Woman of the 21st Century by the Women's Guild Cedars-Sinai.

"I know we're at a lovely luncheon, but I think it's so important for people to understand."

"I was severely impacted by having billions of strangers thinking negatively about me. My energetic field wasn't ready for that. So, I think that I worked hard with that, and I feel grateful. I really shed a lot of the bitterness. I think some of it is probably also buried."

Lewinsky contemplated suicide due to the media scrutiny, and told The Times earlier this year that "the public humiliation was excruciating; life was almost unbearable."

Themes surrounding authority and control have remained a constant in Lewinsky's life post scandal.

"I think of power in two different ways. There's the power that someone has and they use, that impacts other people's power," Lewinsky explained to Fox News Digital.

"Then there's the power that someone has in connection to themselves and that's a lot more like strength."

Lewinsky also offered the notion that perseverance following public scrutiny isn't necessarily a straight-forward path.

"You will move forward, you'll go back, and move forward ... you'll go back, and I think it's, again, people have to be patient with themselves."

The "Doctor Strange" star was caught on video getting off of his bike and confronting an unknown man who accused him of running a red light.

"You’re deluded, you’re lying. I was behind you the entire time," the unknown cyclist said in the video.

Cumberbatch told the man he was "verbally" abusing him. "Oh no, I verbally abused the guy who completely repeatedly broke the law," the man said. "I did it once," Cumberbatch replied.

An eyewitness said the interaction was "pompous road rage" and it almost "felt staged," according to SWNS.

Martin Short is breaking his silence on the recent death of his daughter Katherine Short.

During a May 10 appearance on "CBS Sunday Morning," the 76-year-old actor and comedian spoke out about how he is coping with the loss of Katherine, who died by suicide at the age of 42 in February. Short shared Katherine with his late wife Nancy Dolman, who passed away after a battle with ovarian cancer in 2010.

"It's been a nightmare for the family," Short said of Katherine's death.

Katherine was the eldest of the three children Short adopted with Dolman. The two also shared sons Oliver, 40 and Henry, 36. The couple were married for more than three decades before Dolman's death.

Despite a career defined by laughter — from the iconic wedding planner Franck in "Father of the Bride" to his recent turn in the Emmy-winning series "Only Murders in the Building" — Short has never shied away from speaking about the private heartbreak that unfolded behind the scenes.

Early in his life, Short experienced multiple family tragedies in a short span of time, including the death of his older brother David in a car accident in 1962 when the actor was only 12-years-old. Short's mother, Olive, passed away after a battle with cancer in 1968 and his father, Charles, died following a stroke just two years later in 1970.

In the years after Dolman’s death, the comedian acknowledged that his children navigated a tumultuous time without their mother.

He added, "I believe that when people die, they zoom into the people that love them. This idea that it just ends, and don’t speak of them — that’s wrong. That’s based on denial that we’re all going to die. So to me, she’s still here."

Robert Irwin had a scary moment with a crocodile but lived to tell the tale.

During a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," the 22-year-old conservationist shared he was "death rolled" by a 14-foot crocodile he named Jimmy Fallon when it was a baby.

"He's not a baby anymore. I named this crocodile Jimmy Fallon, like, years ago, and he's now what we call a boss croc. He's huge," Robert said. "Because we research crocodiles in the wild to, like, better conserve them, right? So the way you do that — my dad came up with this — is you actually have to jump on them."

The Australian conservationist told the talk show host that after he "jumped on the back of Jimmy Fallon," the large reptile "death rolled" him.

Robert is the son of beloved reality TV star and environmentalist, Steve Irwin, also known as "The Crocodile Hunter," who was known for his work trying to teach the public to respect and protect all animals.

Steve died in September 2006 after a stingray's tail pierced his chest and caused a fatal injury to his heart while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef, when Robert was 2 years old.

Since his death, his wife, Teri, and their two children, Robert and Bindi, who was 8 years old when Steve died, have taken over his mission towards advocating for all animals and running the Australian Zoo in Queensland.

"To continue this legacy is the honour of my life," Robert shared on Instagram in October alongside a reel featuring footage of him and his father when he was younger, and of his father with animals. "If I can make my dad proud, I’ve done my job. Behind everything I do is a conservation mission that my dad started."

Both Robert and his older sister Bindi competed on and won "Dancing with the Stars," with Bindi taking home the mirrorball trophy in 2015 during season 21 when she was 17 years old.

Robert took his turn in the ballroom in the fall of 2025, winning the show with his partner, Witney Carson.

The actress who played sultry exchange student Nadia in 1999’s "American Pie" has launched an OnlyFans account. She earned more than $1.2 million in her first week, Variety reported.

"Now is the right time for me to launch my OnlyFans for a few reasons," the 52-year-old told Fox News Digital. "I’m going through a divorce, and I’m in a phase of rebuilding, rebuilding myself and my life — fresh starts."

"I don’t even know yet because I’m still getting comfortable with myself and with chatting and just filming all the time. ... I don’t know where it’s all going to go, so I guess we’re going to find that out together."

The "Scary Movie" alum said she’s been inspired by her encounters with fans at Comic-Con appearances.

"I wanted to do something where I could connect with them even further and have more of that personal connection day to day," she said. "I’ve never been one to do daily content about my life, but for years I’ve been thinking about it."

"The content that I will be creating, and have been creating, is my life," she said. "It’s every day. It’s everything — getting ready with me from the beginning, to going to an event to going to bed at night. I’m just trying to be an open book and share my life."

"I’ve met some incredible people, even on Facebook direct messaging, over the last, probably, 20 years?" she said. "It’s been a long time with some people. I recognize the names now, and some people I’ve met in person [at conventions]. I’ve met incredible people that way. So, with this, it’s all about chatting, seeing what people want and sharing a part of my life that I’ve never shared before."

"It’s quite exciting when people think that I’m not going to respond to them when they send a message," she laughed. "I can feel their excitement when I’m talking to them, even if it’s on an Instagram post or something like that."

Elizabeth also isn’t fazed by any criticism she may be receiving for joining OnlyFans.

"I know people do make assumptions about creators on the platform," she said. "But I don’t go looking for it. And people have been nothing but really supportive and kind to me. ... I’m really happy doing it. I’m really having so much fun. I’m connecting with people. And I think no matter what you do in any industry, there’s always going to be people who don’t support you, who want to bring you down or who criticize you."

Elizabeth’s new project does have a wild side. Some of the content she’ll be producing will benefit her conservation charity, the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation. She launched it in 2018 and now calls South Africa home.

"Absolutely do it," she gushed. "It’s been an incredible experience. And if you don’t like it, you just stop. That’s the beauty of it. The control’s in your hands. So if you want to do it for one month, do it for a month. See if you like it. In fact, I have already started talking to some friends about getting on the platform with me, and a lot of people are starting to consider it."

Billy Bob Thornton is sharing his health challenges and how they led to his extreme diet.

During a recent appearance on the "Howie Mandel Does Stuff" podcast, the 70-year-old actor revealed the lifelong health battle that has influenced his strange snacking choices.

"My diet's very restricted. Well, I'm allergic to wheat, dairy. I have type AB negative blood, which is the rarest type in the world. It's like less than 1% of the population of the world has it," he explained. "It means you have less digestive enzymes. That's one of the things that goes along with it. But I just grew up with a lot of allergies."

He went on to list some of the dietary restrictions that come with his condition, saying he can't eat dairy, wheat or shellfish, as well as meat, including "pork or beef or any of that stuff."

"When I was a kid, you know, I grew up in Arkansas and East Texas and I ate everything," he said. "I just assumed everybody felt like s--- after they ate. I didn't know."

His many dietary restrictions have led to some adventurous snacking. During the interview, he discussed being in the green room before a "Landman" Q&A event and not seeing anything that was safe for him to eat.

While looking at a plate of deli meats, cheeses and crackers, Thornton found some grapes he could munch on, and after thinking, "OK, so I'll be bored as hell with this," he found an unlikely item to pair it with.

"I dipped this grape in the Dijon mustard," he said. "It had It was one of the best things I ever had in my lifetime. So now it's become a thing for me."

He recalled gaining 60lbs for roles in "Tombstone" and "U Turn" in the late 1990s, and then later did a movie called "Pushing Tin" for which he "got down to 128."

"It’s funny — if I ever see a picture of those days, because this is back … when you’re a younger actor, you’re like, ‘Well, I’m going to gain 75 pounds for this, and the next time I’m going to do this,’ and whatever, ‘I’ll cut my own cheek,’ you know, that kind of thing," he said with a laugh. "After a while, as you get older, you stop doing that stuff."

Thornton is currently starring in the popular Paramount + show "Landman" alongside Ali Larter, Demi Moore and Sam Elliot.

The show focuses on roughnecks and billionaires in West Texas who are trying to get rich as the oil industry continues to take over the state.

"I think the thing that I learned that I wasn't quite aware of before — because I knew some about the oil business — but I knew people more on the sort of suit side of it, you know, in Texas," he told Fox News Digital in November 2025. "One of the things that surprised me was how many people who had had broken lives are working in the oil fields. Got ex-cons and all kinds of things working out there because they can make from $120,000 to $180,000 a year to take care of their families when they try to straighten their lives out."

A former "Scream" star who was fired after speaking out against Israel is now blasting her ex-castmates for returning to the horror franchise, agreeing they are "scabby" for moving forward without her.

"One hundred percent [they were scabby]. I think they all are," the anti-Israel actress Melissa Barrera told Variety.

"And they have to live with that," she added, in comments that could be directed at cast members Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown. They starred with Barrera in the fifth and sixth "Scream" movies. Gooding and Savoy Brown, unlike Barrera, returned for part seven.

"The only way they were able to make that movie after what happened was to nostalgia-bait as much as possible," Barrera said.

This prompted Barrera to reply, "Oh, one hundred percent."

Representatives for Savoy Brown and Gooding did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Barrera was dropped from the horror franchise in late 2023 following backlash over her social media posts about the Israel–Hamas war, including statements in which she accused Israel of genocide amid its response to the Oct. 7 attacks.

One of Barrera's multiple posts on the war read, "Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp. Cornering everyone together, with no where to go, no electricity no water … People have [learned] nothing from our histories. And just like our histories, people are still silently watching it all happen. THIS IS GENOCIDE & ETHNIC CLEANSING."

At the time of her firing, Spyglass Media Group told Variety that Barrera’s social media posts crossed a line, stating it has "zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech."

Barrera fired back shortly after, rebuking the suggestion that her actions constituted antisemitism or the "incitement of hate."

"I will continue to speak out for those that need it most and continue to advocate for peace and safety, for human rights and freedom. Silence is not an option for me."

Ortega's exit was initially chalked up to scheduling conflicts, but the actress later denied those reports, stating, "The Melissa stuff was happening, and it was all kind of falling apart. When asked if she received messages of support from others after her firing, Barrera shook her head and said, "That's not the reality of things..."

Adapted from the 2005 Leonie Swann novel "Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Story," the film follows a flock of sheep belonging to secluded shepherd George Hardy (Hugh Jackman), who reads them murder mysteries before bedtime, not realizing that the sheep have been able to understand everything he's been saying.

Unfortunately for George, he becomes the victim of his murder mystery, and his sheep hope to crack the case.

There's Lily (voiced by Julia Louis-Dreyfus), the intelligent sheep the rest of the flock look up to, especially since she's so good at solving the mysteries George reads them. Also among the flock are the clear-headed Mopple (Chris O'Dowd), the stoic Sebastian (Bryan Cranston), the gossipy Cloud (Regina Hall), the elder Sir Ritchfield (Patrick Stewart) and the ram-bunctious twins Reggie and Ronnie (Brett Goldstein).

But who would want to kill George? Well, he apparently ruffled plenty of feathers in the rural English town of Denbrook, like the rival shepherd Caleb Merrow (Tosin Cole), the butcher Ham Gilyard (Conleth Hill), the innkeeper Beth Pennock (Hong Chau) and his estranged daughter Rebecca (Molly Gordon), all who have motives for wanting George dead.

Also joining the cast are Emma Thompson as George's attorney Lydia Harbottle, Nicholas Galitzine as the nosy junior reporter Elliot Matthews and Nicholas Braun as the bumbling Officer Tim Derry, who the sheep have to shepherd into solving the mystery.

What caught me off guard was the film's emotional core — touching on subjects like coping with grief and having a sense of belonging. "The Sheep Detectives" feels like something from bygone era where movies were pure and good-nature, striking a resemblance to the 90s classic "Babe." It's funny, cute and has a lot of heart — truly a film the whole family can enjoy.

It's obvious that the all-star ensemble, both human and non-human alike, had a lot of fun making this movie. The cast was led by director Kyle Balda, who has an extensive background as an animator but most recently directed the "Minions" films and "Despicable Me 3." Emmy-winner Craig Mazin, who recently wrote HBO's "Chernobyl" and "The Last of Us," makes his first big-screen comedy since 2013's "The Hangover Part III."

The Verdict

Good quality family films are not easy to come by these days, which is why "The Sheep Detectives" deserves to be seen. The cast is great and not only does the writing bring the laughs, it also tugs at the heartstrings. Charming and delightful, "The Sheep Detectives" is a film worth flocking to.

William Shatner says he's 'taking care of business' at 95: 'The least of all I want to do is die'

William Shatner has no plans to slow down as he gets older.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 95-year-old actor spoke about how he is able to keep going, when so many others his age have already slowed down decades ago.

"That's why they're old," he said. "Shatner's law is speed up, do more and forget the pain, take a pill if it hurts. You get older, you hurt more. Two things. One is a weightlifter who told me, 'When I lift three, four hundred pounds, it hurts. I've learned,' he said, 'to make the hurt my friend. Welcome, friend. The pain is here, welcome.'"

Shatner, who is preparing for his upcoming live stage show "The Universe is Absurd," went on to say that his "advice to old people" would be to "befriend" and embrace the pain.

The "Star Trek" actor then added that his second tip for those who are aging is to never stop moving, explaining that "if you stop moving, all you've got is the hurt." He explained that one of his passions is riding horses, and competing in an equestrian event called reigning, which he described as "very physical."

"The older you get, the difficulty is really getting on the horse. You have a mounting block, and you try to lift your leg up over it," he said. "If I would have stopped that, half my life would disappear. So I don't stop. I just go slower."

Even after suffering an injury to his shoulder due to a fall off his horse, Shatner continues to ride, and will be hosting the annual William Shatner's Hollywood Charity Horse Show later this month.

His busy schedule also includes his upcoming live show, "The Universe is Absurd," which is a live, unscripted stage show with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson that will explore cosmic themes through banter and storytelling. The show is scheduled for May 19 and 20 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

Tyson and Shatner first connected when recording an audiobook, which eventually led to 20 hours of conversation between the two of them.

"I had to spend two days, 10 hours a day talking to a wonderful man who has become a good friend of mine now," he said. "Those 20 hours have given us a foothold into conversation and that's what we'll have on stage. But in order for it to have energy, I have to disagree with them on many points, if not all."

The worst thing that can happen at the show in Shatner's opinion, is that "The audience walks out. We walk on, and they get up and leave."

In terms of what's next for him, the "Boston Legal" star explained he doesn't have a bucket list, but wants to continue doing the things he treasures, such as spending time with his dogs, riding horses with his wife and visiting his favorite coffee shops.

"I'm busy, and I'm vital and I'm riding horses and I'm taking care of business. And I just sold a horse," he said. "I did a job on Friday and Saturday...I'm busy doing concrete valuable things, I don't want to go anywhere. The least of all I want to do is die."

He explained that a person's mindset changes throughout the different stages of life. He shared that around 20-25 years old, people are busy building their future and are "self-energized by your own needs," but slow down as they get older.

"When you're 70 and 80, you look around at the magic of the Earth," he explained. "You look at the incredible beauty of life. No matter if you're hurting, welcome hurt. You're alive, for God's sake. In no time at all, you'll be interred with turds and so relish as much as you can of your life because it's over."

He continued: "I'm here to testify. One truth I know. It goes by so quickly. When I hear somebody utter the number of my age, I'm tempted to look around to see who he's talking about, because that doesn't seem real. It seems like some bad dream. I'm how old? No, I'll wake up momentarily. That's how I feel."

Valerie Bertinelli apologizes after dropping F-bomb on live TV

Valerie Bertinelli may not be asked to return to live TV after her most recent on-air mishap.

During a recent appearance on "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle," the 66-year-old actress was discussing her return to acting after a 10-year break, when she had an accidental on-air blunder after getting too excited while speaking about the part.

"She's just trying to hold it together. I just identified with her wholeheartedly," Bertinelli expressed. "I'm one of those people where, no matter what I'm going through, I will put that happy face on, so I don't bring my s--- to other … sorry. Bring my stuff to other people."

After apologizing to the hosts and calling herself "so terrible," both Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones assured her it was OK.

"We're just chatting with girlfriends. It comes out," Bush said.

Bush Hager then pointed out, "Oops, that's a second one," after which Bertinelli said, "Geez Louise! I'll never be invited back again."

Bertinelli was previously married to rock star Eddie Van Halen for 20 years, from 1981 until their separation in 2001. Their divorce was finalized in 2007. Throughout their 20-year marriage, the couple welcomed one son together, Wolfgang, in March 1991.

She then dated Tom Vitale for eight years before they tied the knot in January 2011. The two were married for 10 years before separating in 2021 and finalizing their divorce in 2022.

"I mean, I've had two divorces, and they were completely different," Bertinelli said on an episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show" in January. "My last divorce, I actually, I did go back to the jeweler and sell my ring back, and I got a celebratory, like, evil eye bracelet."

Her first husband, Van Halen, died in October 2020 at the age of 65 from complications from throat cancer that later spread.

After his death, Bertinelli paid tribute to him on Instagram, alongside a photo of their son, writing, "I’m so grateful Wolfie and I were able to hold you in your last moments," adding she "will see you in our next life."

The 37-year-old "Dancing with the Stars" rocked several skimpy bikinis in a slew of photos and videos that she shared from her tropical getaway on Tuesday.

"Fiji Dreams," Hough wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, which was set to The Cranberries' hit "Dreams."
