Granger Smith says fame can become ‘poison’ after leaving country music for ministry

Granger Smith is embarking on a new chapter.

The singer, who left country music in 2023 to focus on ministry at his local church outside Austin, Texas, exclusively told Fox News Digital that his new book, "Poison in the Well," will be published Sept. 8.

The 46-year-old’s previous book, "Like a River," was published in 2023 before his farewell from the music industry. It focuses on how he coped with grief after his 3-year-old son, River, died in a drowning accident in 2019.

"This one is more exciting to me because ‘Like a River’ was wrapped so much in my personal story of losing my son, River, our journey through grief, loss and recovery, and then the birth of my son Maverick," he explained. "And that really encompasses that era. And in that era, God saved me."

"…God saving me was what spurred so much change in my life," the father of four said. "…I left an entire music career. It changed the whole direction of my life and my family’s life. The new book walks directly down that journey so that if anyone says, ‘Your book "Like a River" was inspiring,’ then I could hand them ‘Poison in the Well’ and say, ‘These are the mechanics of why everything changed after.’"

Smith admitted that six months after losing his son, he found himself asking a question he never thought he would: What if his faith couldn’t hold him up?

"…Most of this conversation we have now in this book, it’s all in hindsight," he said. "It’s me really digging through what happened to me. I think the first time I asked the question was, ‘What if everything I believe about my faith was actually built on shifting sand?’"

"And that is a question I believe a lot of people would ask in the deep, dark throes of grief when you lose a loved one, a marriage or a job — or, this might sound trivial, but it’s not — even a pet," he said. "Anything that you lose that you love, and you’ve created an identity around — including a career — when you lose that, you start to think, ‘Why do I feel so lost? Why do I feel like I have no hope?’

"And for those people who have a faith in any religion, they will start to question the validity of that religion that they stand on."

"I thought, ‘I’m a Christian. Why do I feel hopeless? Doesn’t the Bible say we’re supposed to have hope? And I don’t,’" he reflected. "If that’s the case, then what am I standing on? Because this feels like sand. That was a time of deep reflection."

Since walking away from country music, Smith has found healing in connecting with others who have also faced loss. Now at a different stage, he uses his ministry to guide people through grief and spiritual doubt, reexamining what it means to hold onto faith in difficult seasons.

"I was a musician who was always interested in the meet-and-greets," he explained. "I remember reading stories of certain artists that said the meet-and-greets are the worst part of their day because they bring them down. They hear everyone’s problems, and then they have to go perform. And sometimes, musicians would even cancel meet-and-greets so they could just play the music.

"I was one of the strange ones who actually liked hearing people and learning about their struggles, joys and sorrows."

"Since leaving music and focusing on ministry, that’s all I do: focus on the people," he said.

"I think I became less interested in entertaining people and more interested in helping people. That has given me so much joy. I sleep so much better at night knowing that today’s work was enough — it’s not about the next single, the next album, the next tour."

"That’s an incredibly freeing feeling," he added.

But Smith hasn’t completely ruled out music for good. He hopes to use songwriting to help others experience the Bible in a more personal way — an idea sparked by his children.

"There’s a new way that God has circled music back into my life," he said.

"People often ask, ‘Are you done with music? Will there ever be more music from you?’ And the answer was always ‘I don’t know.’ I don’t know what God will do, but God does give each of us certain nuances that we’re better at than other things. And I’ve always loved music, and I’ve always enjoyed speaking through music."

Smith said his family starts each day with a Bible story and prayer, then sets aside a few minutes to sing together.

"I realized that I could make up songs according to Scriptures," said Smith.

"We could sing fun little songs that are just Scripture songs and add a melody to them that’s easy to memorize. And so, we started doing that a few years ago. And then, I realized maybe these could be helpful for others, not only kids, but also other people — to be able to think through Scripture and to memorize Scripture in a unique way by singing it."

"So maybe in the future, there’ll be an album by me released that has Scripture songs," he teased.

Smith pointed out that there are things about showbiz he doesn’t miss.

"The problem with music for me was never writing songs, singing songs, or releasing songs," he explained. "What became problematic for me was performing on tour for a lot of reasons. It took me away from my family. It took me away from my local church. I was missing all of that because I was always touring on Saturday nights."

"It became an idol for me," Smith admitted.

"It was very hard for me to separate promoting myself and my music, standing on a stage in front of a lot of people. To say not to let it go to my head is almost underplaying it, because it’s nearly impossible for anyone to be worshiped in that way.

"And in music, it was usually about trying to get adoration from the crowd, needing applause. It means you’re succeeding in the thing that you’re trying to do, which is dangerous. It’s dangerous for a human."

"Your heart just breaks for these megastars," said Smith. "The goal of all the touring, all the concerts, and all the music releases is ultimate stardom. And it’s never satisfied by a certain level of being famous. It always craves more. The result is a man or a woman who’s lost all sense of who they are. Men and women are not meant to be worshiped. We’re not created to be worshiped. And if we are, it actually hurts us. It becomes poison in our veins."

Today, Smith hopes his book will help others grow a closer relationship with God during the hardest times of their lives, just as he has.

"I want people to see through my story that I was living a life thinking I was earning something from God instead of loving God for what He has done," he said. "Now, I want to do things to please Him in response to that."

"…The book also reveals some toxins that we as humans tend to fall into. I look at them like check-engine lights. If you’re doing this, or you’re involved in that, it might be a check-engine light that you don’t see … that’s the goal."

"Dutton Ranch" marks the next chapter for Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler after the massive success of "Yellowstone," with Kelly Reilly and Hauser leading the Paramount+ spinoff alongside newcomers including Academy Award nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

The new series follows Beth and Rip as they attempt to build a future together in Texas while facing new threats, rivalries and challenges far from Montana.

For Hauser, the role has always felt personal.

The actor, who has long split time between Montana and Florida, said his connection to the West runs far deeper than the screen.

"Well, Florida is, I feel like I'm on vacation when I go home, which is what we wanted to create, my wife and I," Hauser said. "Montana, my family has been there since 1886. So the Hauser legacy there is huge."

"I mean, Samuel T. Hauser was the seventh governor of Montana, helped start that state," he continued. "So going back there felt like a homecoming for me."

Hauser previously told Havok Journal that he discovered more about his family history while visiting Montana with his son and had always felt deeply connected to the state before fully understanding why.

That personal connection helped shape the authenticity audiences came to associate with Rip Wheeler over the years.

"You know, it's interesting, you know, 10 years ago when we started this, it was really kind of a grassroots show in Montana and then, you know, we grew out to the edges, Los Angeles, now New York, and now the world," Hauser said.

Hauser credited creator Taylor Sheridan’s storytelling and the larger mythology of the American West for the franchise’s worldwide appeal.

"I honestly don't know other than the tremendous writing and storytelling of Taylor Sheridan," he said. "I mean, he created unbelievable characters and Montana is a character in its own."

"And I think people forget how beautiful the Old West is."

"God, this next iteration, I mean, it has such new challenges," Hauser said. "Obviously the landscape of Texas, the heat, that was totally different, the new environment, the new characters that come in, the story."

Still, Hauser said one thing remained essential while stepping back into Rip’s boots.

"What stayed consistent is Beth and Rip," he said. "Kelly and I were very cognizant of making sure that those two characters continue to be the same polarizing, strong, loyal characters that they've always been."

Director and executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros said the new setting helped reshape the visual identity of the franchise while preserving its emotional core.

Voros said the series ultimately becomes "a very classically Western trope of finding your new frontier or building a new legacy."

"I think that the power to say no is very valuable as an actor," Plumb exclusively told Fox News Digital. "And as a person, we always talk about setting boundaries. And my parents always made sure that I had time off and that I did the right things. You don't have to say yes to everything. And I am still that way today."

Special guests Georgina Bloomberg and Elaine Hendrix were also in attendance during the star-studded night.

She also reflected on what sparked her long-term commitment to animal rescue.

"I looked online and saw an undercover fur video," she said. "And it was so shocking to me, I completely changed my life. And from that moment forward, I have been working on behalf of animals all over the world."

"The short answer is no," Lamas said when asked if he ever imagined their relationship coming full circle more than four decades after they first met. "I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met."

"I've always believed that. My mom believed that. She's shared that with me as a kid, and it's kind of how I try to live my life."

The 68-year-old actor said that foundation has helped guide him through both personal struggles and the pressures of Hollywood.

Jeremy Renner is getting real about his healing journey following his tragic snow plow accident in 2023.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Renner spoke about his new partnership with RapidSOS and detailed his deeply personal connection to first responders after his accident three years ago left him with tissue damage, 38 broken bones and a lifetime of recovery.

"I mean, I'll be in recovery for the rest of my life. I think it goes beyond acting. I almost didn't want to go back into acting because I had to focus so much on real life. Nonfiction kind of stuff. To go into fiction was a little difficult, but I'm glad I'm back doing it," Renner began.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Renner said that being able to be a megaphone for the company was an honor.

The "Mayor of Kingstown" star explained that even before his accident, he was very supportive of first responders. However, "not dying" in his near-fatal snow plow accident made him want to support them even more.

Since the accident, Renner said he's simplified his life. "Be with my family, get better every day and do acts of service and give to others as much and best as I can. And that's how I choose to live my life from moving forward since the accident," the actor noted.

At 55, Renner has approached recovery a little differently. The star told Fox News Digital that this year, he is focusing on red light therapy treatments and hyperbaric chambers.

"There are a lot of great things we're progressing in it," Renner began, adding that he's trying "different therapies from red light and hyperbaric chambers" to peptide treatments.

"Peptide therapies are really great for hormone replacement as we get older. You don't have to be in an accident do any of the things I'm doing. As a teenager, Maitland Ward — who first found fame as Jessica Forrester in "The Bold and the Beautiful," and later Rachel McQuire in the beloved ‘90s Disney TV show, "Boy Meets World" — was exposed to a dark side of Hollywood that wasn't often discussed. From being put in compromising and "provocative" positions as a minor on set to quickly becoming a product of a "twisted male gaze" at such a young age, the California native faced a wave of challenges and is now gearing up to expose the pitfalls of young stardom.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, the former child actress, who stars in the upcoming episode of Investigation Discovery's "Hollywood Demons", opens up about her troubling past of becoming a man-made "product" as a kid and explained how she managed to escape social norms and make waves as an adult film star.

"I can't speak to how Hollywood is today because it's such a different animal than it was back when I was getting into it," said Ward, 49. "Back then, I think they looked at these young actors as like property coming in. And I really believe the studios, they wanted to mold and form these young actors into what they wanted them to be, what they needed them to be for the company and for the audience, to what they felt would identify with."

And that's really what it was."

For Ward, telling her story in "Hollywood Demons" was an opportunity to release baggage that has been with her all these years.

"It was very therapeutic to tell the story at the age that I am now about my 16-year-old self, 17, 20, whatever, that my young self coming up in a business that thought of her as a product and was very dismissive of the product a lot of the time. They just wanted it for what they wanted it for. And then cast it aside when they didn't. And that happened to many, many young actors."

"I think this show really examines that on a lot of fronts in young Hollywood, especially in that world of the 90s and the early 2000s, where women were just put into this box where you had to be this young woman that was either, a virgin and a slut all at once," she continued. "And I hate to use those terms exactly, but that's what it was."

"It was like the Britney Spears thing. They were telling us things, like this is what the audience wants, this is how they want you to be, this is how they want women to be. But it really wasn't true because if you go back or you talk to people now, they were like, 'Oh, I love this stuff about you, or I love stuff about the show.' And it's so different from what we were told the audience was craving."

Looking back at her time on "Boy Meets World," Ward, who was 21 when she joined the cast in the later seasons, said it's difficult to look back at all the "provocative, weird situations" she was put in.

In a 2022 interview with Complex, Ward detailed being "sexualized" while starring on the Disney show.

"I didn’t realize the food fight was such a fetish kind of thing, like, food and feet and all this stuff going on. I didn’t realize all of the innuendos that were made in Rachel’s direction and I think the writers, and Michael especially, really enjoyed playing with that, but then it could not be on my terms," Ward said, referencing co-creator Michael Jacobs.

Ward said she didn't think much of it at the time.

"We all just thought it was normal and nobody thought anything of it," Ward told Fox News Digital. "And I'm sure like a younger audience, like if I was a kid watching that, and I didn't think anything of that. But when you examine it, adults were creating this space and making this kind of product. It's really troubling just seeing how other people have been through similar situations."

Ward said that because it was taboo to discuss any feelings of doubt at the time, she finds it freeing to be able to air out her grievances and connect with others who were put in similar situations.

"It's kind of freeing to say, 'Oh, wait, you felt that way too? And you went through a similar situation.' There's so much of the story that we don't know. We just see like what Hollywood shows us. But ['Hollywood Demons'] really peels back that barrier that we have. We can see everything that's going on, and it's really important that we do examine this, especially for future generations, the younger generation coming through."

These days, Ward — who has not only found mega success in the adult film industry, but has been a champion for women breaking barriers professionally and personally — has never felt more empowered.

"I think I just feel really free after all of it, just that I've just gotten so much of myself out there," said Ward, who published her memoir, "Rated X: How Porn Liberated Me from Hollywood" in 2022. "I think people have a misconception about actors in general, and of course people in the adult industry in general. And I think my story is multifaceted."

James Dupré, the vocalist for Randy Travis' "More Life" tour, has been honored with a major task.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, the Louisiana native opens up about taking the stage with Travis — who suffered a life-altering stroke in 2013 — and details the challenges he's been met with and gives an uplifting update on the iconic country star's health.

"Honestly, when we get on the tour bus, [Randy] gets excited," said Dupré, who was personally selected as the main vocalist by Travis and his wife, Mary, in 2019. "He just doesn't like to sit at home for too long. You know, he shows up every day to the shows and he's always smiling. He's always happy to see his band. I've never seen him say ‘No’ to anyone who wanted a photo or wanted a signature. I mean, he just loves being out there, and it's really fun to be on a tour with that kind of positivity."

Dupré, whose voice and talent first went viral on YouTube in 2008, has made a name for himself throughout the years. But his style, admitted Dupré, has always been heavily influenced by Travis — which can be a challenge when trying to maintain his own identity as an artist, while also honoring Travis' legacy.

"It's hard. Randy was one of my heroes growing up. So my style is already heavily influenced by Randy," he said. "But, you know, obviously I still have my own sound and my own style, but doing his songs every night, it's kind of hard to separate my artistry from, trying to sound like Randy, you know what I mean? And I'm not an impersonator, and I'm trying to impersonate Randy, but it is hard sometimes to separate myself from that. So it's more of a conscious effort, an ongoing conscious effort."

Travis suffered a stroke after being hospitalized for congestive heart failure tied to viral cardiomyopathy in 2013.

"I could understand what Mary said to me, but I could not respond in anything close to a sentence," Randy wrote in his 2019 memoir "Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith and Braving the Storms of Life." "All this was extremely frustrating for me; I felt like I was trapped inside the shell of my body."

The stroke impacted his ability to perform the way he was used to, and left him having to relearn basic daily tasks.

Despite the hardships, Travis was determined to continue what he loved: making music and performing for his fans.

"He loves being with his fans. He loves the energy of the stage," Mary told Fox News Digital in 2025. "People always ask if it’s hard for him to hear his music played by somebody else. I think for some people it would be, but for Randy, he’s like, No, I’m good with that. Music belongs to all of us."

And Dupré sees the impact Travis' resilience has on his fans.

"I think what's amazing though, is when he comes out on stage at the beginning of the show, and I come out shortly after, I see people already in tears," he said. "Because they're seeing him and, and obviously for people who have loved him for so long, who haven't seen him in person in the shape that he's in now, post stroke, I think it's extra difficult for people to see him that way. And I remember seeing him for the first time after the stroke, because for me, it was very hard. It's just, it's incredible to see all of those reactions."

"I can't think of a more inspiring thing to be a part of because to see what he's had to endure, all that, all the stuff that he's said to endure over the last decade and more, for him to still be so positive and to still want to even go out and see people and want people to see him," he added. "He doesn't quit. You know, and that is so motivating and so inspiring to me. And I try to carry that with me every day."

In 2023, Randy and Mary spoke with Fox News Digital about his condition ahead of a tribute concert, which also raised money for the Randy Travis Foundation. The foundation focuses on stroke and aphasia awareness and supporting music education in schools.

"We want people to understand strokes, stroke rehabilitation, that there is life after stroke," Mary said at the time. "We did find that all of the rehab that we went through, life is the best rehab. Just get out there. Go do what you used to do. You know, the world may wonder why you're out here, but just go out there and, you know, dance like nobody's watching and sing like nobody's listening and just have a good time. It truly is the best therapy."

Mary also cited her and Randy’s faith for helping them work through recovery.

"He's very faithful," she said. "We, you know, we leaned hard on God. It's been 10 years now since the stroke, and that's hard to believe. … There's really no words for it, and there's not a day that goes by that I just don't thank God for his grace and his mercy."

Helena Chard, a British royal expert, told Fox News Digital that she believes friends are coming to her aid and funding her life during this time.

She was spotted at a luxe ski chalet that goes for $2,700 a night, according to The Times.

"Incognito, anxious Fergie is keeping a low profile. She cannot believe how low she has sunk although, contrary to people’s thoughts, she is not destitute. Friends have stepped in to whisk her away from her stress," she said.

Ian Pelham Turner, royal broadcaster, pointed out that Ferguson used to work in the area as a chalet maid and nanny, so she could be staying with a former client or a friend. "At the moment, Andrew is I am sure, aware of the situation but keeping his distance so as not to betray her hideaway," he said.

Chard explained that Austria is giving Ferguson the privacy to dodge U.S. politicians who want her to testify against former Prince Andrew and his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

"There appears to be no future for Sarah Ferguson. She was never previously short of ideas. If a publisher wanted to gain notoriety by publishing one of her books, there’s nothing to stop them. However, charities won’t touch her," he said.

In the lawsuit filed in a Santa Barbara court, Ireland, 63, claimed her family was targeted by Jason Winters and Erik Sterling, who were allegedly at the helm of a deceptive managing scheme. The lawsuit also names four former Kathy Ireland Worldwide employees.

Forbes once estimated Ireland to be one of America's richest self-made women, and worth $420 million through her self-titled brand, which includes affordable home furnishings, clothing, and lifestyle products sold not only in stores nationwide, but also on HSN.

She claimed in the lawsuit that her former team "failed to create wealth and make investments" as promised for their family, leaving Ireland and husband Greg Olsen in extreme debt and forced to sell their family home.

In a statement to ABC News, the defendants disputed Ireland's claims, and said an alleged $25 million fraud claim against Ireland filed last year was the catalyst for their dispute.

They called her allegations "false, defamatory, and unsupported by any documentation," adding that all loans in question had Ireland's signature, and that those involved were "partners and equal shareholders from the outset, not business managers."

In a separate statement shared online, defendant Brittany Duncan called the allegations "knowingly false, baseless, deceptive, slanderous and disingenuous." Duncan added that the matter, which she said is being litigated, should be resolved in court rather than in the media.

Fox News Digital reached out to the defendants for comment.

"Every day we're moving through this, and I'm so grateful and God is good," Ireland said. "He's getting us through."

"Life is hard, and it's full of tests, but my faith tells me ... God promises, He says, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you,' and He refines us in the fire," she said. "He oftentimes will lead us through battles, and we keep our eyes on Jesus, not the wind and the waves, and that's what gets us through."

Ireland added, "Throughout my life, he's carried me through many tough battles. I'm a private person and I don't share a lot, but like everyone, life is hard, and we go through tough stuff, but it's a question of how are we going to go through it? And are we going to allow the actions of others to defeat us, define us, destroy us?

"No, we get back up, and we fight another day, and it's comforting to know that we're not alone in this."

According to the lawsuit, it was only when the couple attempted to loan money to their son for a down payment on a home when they realized that they had no funds and the defendants used their money.

The couple now has "no substantial retirement accounts" after more than three decades running a successful global company.

"I'm saddened for my former business partners," Ireland admitted. "These are people that I continue to care about. I don't hate them and I refuse to let bitterness set in."

"Scripture tells us, be angry and don't sin, don't let the sun go down on your anger. And it also tells us vengeance is mine, says the Lord. So I pray for the very best for them, and I pray they'll do the right thing."

Ireland added, "Ultimately, it is not okay to lie, steal, and abuse our family or anyone. That's something that I know, my husband and I, we've both worked very hard since childhood."

"I know that God did not lead me from the cover of Sports Illustrated to the cover for Forbes to have anyone but him write this chapter or the next."

The mother-of-three reflected on the words of former president Ronald Reagan with a new "trust, but verify" life motto.

"I tend to be a patient person, a loyal person and there comes a time when patient is no longer kind, and we must have the courage and the kindness to confront difficult things," Ireland insisted.

Robert Patrick prefers not to participate in Hollywood events and rather enjoys spending time with his wife, dogs and attending church.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Patrick, whose latest project, an indie-horror film called "Mermaid," is set to premiere on April 8, said his choice to stay out of the Hollywood mix has been working in his favor.

"I can't speak for Hollywood. I really can't," Patrick said when asked how he maintains a 30-year-plus marriage while being in the limelight.

"I'm where I'm at in Hollywood and there are a lot of things that I don't participate in, in Hollywood. I'm just grateful they offer me opportunities to work because I love acting. I love it, but I don't really feel like I'm a big part of it," he said.

Patrick told Fox News Digital he was drawn to the role because it was a fresh, unique approach to a classic story of a man falling in love with a mermaid.

"Everybody's saying that there's no new ideas coming out of Hollywood. You hear that a lot. And this is certainly a new idea that came out of Hollywood. It's so bizarre, so out there," he began. "It was also during the writer's strike, and it was during the actor's strike. So there was a very limited amount of work that you could do, but this was one of the ones that you could do because it was a lower budget independent movie."

The "Tulsa King" actor continued, "Such a fresh idea, unique idea on a classic story. A love story, a guy and his mermaid. The mermaid is so bizarre. You know, Florida is such a unique state and there's so many unique people that are down there in Florida. And I don't know, it just appealed to me on a lot of different levels."

"Mermaid," which also stars Johnny Pemberton, Avery Potemri and Kevin Dunn, will premiere in select theaters on April 8.

Patrick told Fox News Digital that he's a devout Episcopalian who attends church every Sunday.

"I sort of stick to my lane. I sort of do what I do. I'm not big on going out to Hollywood parties. I don't really like going to premieres. I don't like all that stuff," the actor said. "I just rather sit at home, be with my wife and my dogs. And maybe that's all working in my favor. I don't know. But there's nothing I'm really chasing. I'm pretty content and happy with what I've got and who I've got around me."

The "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" star told Fox News Digital that the key to a successful, three-decade marriage in Hollywood has been being best friends with his wife, Barbara Patrick.

"My wife is just great. She's the one for me and I love her dearly. I revere her, I respect the hell out of her. She's a great gal. She's been there with me when I had nothing," Patrick began.

Gavin Rossdale revealed his surprising connection to country music as he prepares to perform at Stagecoach in a few weeks.

Rossdale told Fox News Digital he lives with someone who enjoys country music and spends half of his time listening to artists like Zach Bryan.

"It's funny, I live with someone who wants to play country music on most school rides. So, I get to listen to country half the time. And the other one he's into, my son, he's into yacht rock," Rossdale said. Yacht rock is a term to describe soft rock from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Rossdale shares three sons — Kingston, Zuma and Apollo — with his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani. Rossdale is in a three-year relationship with musician Xhoana Xheneti.

The Bush band member explained he's not quite up to speed on country music songs but prefers to listen to the Americana vibe that Bryan brings.

Rossdale and his fellow Bush band members are heading to Stagecoach this year. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Rossdale said he's not afraid to perform at a country music festival because he believes rock and country audiences have a lot in common.

"Everything is really weird because when I was young and to think, even to reflect myself at this point in my life would have been like, surely you're gonna be dead at that point. So, the fact I'm not dead is this crazy bonus from what my vision was as a kid. When I turned 40, I thought that's it, it's all over. And, so, for me, it is an incredible journey," Rossdale said.

He compared music to a "crazy, crazy wife," something he's scared of, yet he controls.

The host of the A&E series "K9 PD with Jim Belushi" exclusively told Fox News Digital that his "sanctuary" up north is not only an idyllic retreat for him, but also serves as an incredibly "spiritual" haven.

"I love Oregon, it's a beautiful property," Belushi explained of his ranch, which is also featured on a reality series about his cannabis farm. "I've got a sweat lodge. I built a sweat lodge there. They do all kinds of little ceremonial Native American practices."

"They broke down the fence and came over to my place. They're going, 'Where's Jim?' So I had 60, 70 cows in my front yard. They wrangled them up and put them back in the fenced area."

He added, "When you're extremely present, spontaneity happens, and that's when you capture the magic."

"There was a moment in 'K9' where I was on the couch, and I was leaning in for my first kiss of the girl and the dog was there, and he took his paw and pushed my head down. That wasn't planned, he wasn't trained to do that."

"The cameras were rolling and all I kept thinking as my head went down was, 'I hope there's no hair in the film, I hope nobody blew this take,' because it just was a magic moment."

Belushi noted that children have a similar presence while working in front of the camera.

"They don't know the difference between the rolling and cut and action," he said. "So you gotta be – I'm trained as an improvisational actor, so it helps. You just gotta be in the moment with dogs and react sincerely in that moment."

He added, "By the way, that's why they don't want you to work with children or dogs because the moment that is the most present is the moment that's the most vulnerable, and vulnerability wins the scene."

Belushi's latest endeavor, hosting "K9 PD with Jim Belushi" – which follows officers and their K-9 counterparts in the field with bodycam, dash and drone footage – only amplified his love for animals and the unsung heroes in law enforcement.

"When I did the 'K-9' movies, I did ride-alongs, quite a few, in LA, San Diego," Belushi said. "I went to the academy and worked with the handlers and the dogs and watched training, participated in the training.

"The thing that excited me the most about the ability to do this movie was the relationship that this man or woman had with that animal. It was way beyond having a little small dog and so cute and laying on my lap. They protected each other and they both felt it and knew it."

He added, "The bond is hard to articulate, but it is really deep. And they take these guys home. And that dog becomes part of their family, and that dog protects that family, and that protects that officer. Not on the street, they're protecting everybody, including the bad guy. To me, that's what was the most interesting thing is the relationship between the handler and their animal. It runs really deep."

As an avid fan of action and adventure, Belushi was excited to host the A&E reality series.

"It's visceral. You've got drama, you've got a little humor in it, but you really have that warmth between the handler," Belushi said. "They are in moments of life and death always, and how they care for each other, protect each other -- It's beautiful to watch."

During an interview with Fox News Digital, the Bush guitarist talked about his relationship with his ex-wife and how they raise their kids: Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. He also discussed how he and his fellow Bush band members will be performing at Stagecoach this year.

"It's a very, it is an interesting kind of… it's a two-lane highway, you know, but they don't ever seem to merge, which is fine," Rossdale said.

The English musician explained what he meant by a "two-lane highway" and explained that it's each of them doing the best they can to raise their children.

Rossdale explained that there's so much pressure on the younger generation, and he sees that through the eyes of his kids.

George and Amal Clooney, Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman are just a few of Hollywood's heaviest hitters who have ditched the U.S. to raise their kids overseas. This trend of celebrities fleeing the States may be for a number of reasons — escape from paparazzi, privacy, the culture.

Cultural commentator Jonathan Alpert says that stars are fleeing since Hollywood has started to feel like a "pressure cooker."

"Hollywood has become deeply political in recent years, and for some celebrities that environment can feel like a pressure cooker," he began. "Every comment, role, or social media post is scrutinized through a political or culture-war lens, and that kind of atmosphere can push people to look for some distance."

For Portman, who raises her young children Aleph and Amalia in Paris, the biggest plus of raising her kids in France is the privacy.

"They’re very good at privacy here. I feel like the biggest compliment is ‘elle est très discrète’ [‘she is very discreet’]," Portman told Net-A-Porter last year.

Celebrity real estate agent Josh Flagg told Fox News Digital that stars like Portman have the flexibility to leave Los Angeles, the entertainment hub, due to their level of success.

"Yes, especially once they reach a certain level of success," Flagg said when asked if stars prioritize privacy and anonymity more than proximity to the industry.

"When you’re starting out, you need to be in Los Angeles. But once your career is established, you can fly in when you need to work. At that point, privacy, security, and overall quality of life become much bigger priorities," he continued.

The "Black Swan" star told Net-A-Porter that she appreciates the politeness that comes with raising her children in France.

George and Amal Clooney ditched the U.S. and obtained French citizenship last year. The couple has been living in France with their children after uprooting the family to get away from the culture of Hollywood, the Academy Award-winning actor and director said in October.

In an interview with Esquire, Clooney, 64, opened up about his life in France and explained why they chose to move his family to the countryside.

"You know, we live on a farm in France. A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid I hated the whole idea of it. "I was worried about raising our kids in L.A., in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life," he continued.

Albert told Fox News Digital that many of these stars aren't leaving LA for good, and are just seeking a get-away.

"Most of these stars aren’t truly leaving the American entertainment world. They still work here and often maintain homes here. In many cases, it’s less an exodus and more about creating breathing room from the scrutiny and political intensity that surrounds Hollywood today," he said.

Flagg explained that there are several aspects of France that are appealing to high-profile stars.

"France has always had a special pull for artists and celebrities. Paris and the South of France offer culture, architecture, food, and history in a way very few places do," he began. "But the biggest factor is privacy. In many parts of France, even major stars can live relatively normal lives compared to Los Angeles. There’s also a long tradition of creatives gravitating there."

Although Jolie doesn’t live in France, she and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, have owned Château Miraval since 2008. The former couple remains embroiled in a bitter dispute over the French winery. However, according to The Telegraph, Jolie may return to France in the future to live and work.

Jolie spoke to Le Monde in February about what it's like to be a woman in France. "I find it very enriching as an artist and as a woman to be in France. I feel that more of myself comes out here. The conversations seem deeper and more enriching to me," she told the outlet.

"Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul moved his wife and two kids to France after the devastating fires in Los Angeles in 2025. Speaking to Travel + Leisure, he explained that they have acclimated well.

"Love the food, the history, the people. Every time I came to Paris, I never wanted to leave. We wanted our kids to learn another language and be surrounded by another culture. It was very important to us," Paul said.

In 2021, filmmaker Wes Anderson — who has lived in France for years — told The New Yorker, "anytime I walk down a street I don’t know well, it’s like going to the movies. It’s just entertaining."

In 2023, Christina Milian moved her family to France and has since admitted that they will reside there for most of their lives.

Milian is married to French singer M. Pokora, so choosing to stay in France was not a hard decision for the American actress.

"I do think we'll stay [in Paris] for a long time and that's really going to be a landmark place for us. To stay most of our lives," Milian told People in 2024. "My kids go to school there. I want the kids to continue speaking the language. It's easy to switch to English all the time. So it's nice that my daughter loves school there."

Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell says Florida beach fight led to death threats against his family

Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell — who has been entangled in multiple legal battles regarding trespassers targeting his private beachfront property in Florida over the past year — continues to receive disturbing threats from other members of the community against him and his family.

In September, attorneys for Brian and his wife, Leighanne Littrell, filed a complaint against a 67-year-old Florida woman named Carolyn Barrington Hill for allegedly trespassing on their Santa Rosa Beach property, according to legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital. Last month, a judge dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice.

On Feb. 25, the Littrells — who share a 23-year-old son, Baylee — filed an amended complaint against Hill and demanded a jury trial, citing emotional distress and economic damages in excess of $50,000.

The initial complaint claimed Hill "set out to antagonize, bully, and harass the Littrell family by frequently trespassing" on their property.

On March 17, Hill filed a motion to dismiss the amended complaint.

"The Amended Complaint filed by the Plaintiffs is once again legally deficient, and subject to dismissal by the Court," Hill's attorney, Heidi Mehaffey, told Fox News Digital in a statement. "Ms. Hill has asked the Court to dismiss all seven counts of trespass against her, as the Plaintiffs failed to state a cause of action upon which relief can be granted. The Plaintiffs have not provided sufficient factual allegations that would allow the Court to award them the damages and relief they seek."

Mehaffey's statement also said, "The Plaintiffs are also requesting the Court force Ms. Hill to pay Plaintiffs’ legal fees for filing a lawsuit against her, in addition to more than $50k in unsubstantiated damages, which Florida law does not allow. Plaintiffs continue to utilize the legal system to intimidate and deter the lawful use of Florida’s shorelines by individuals, such as Ms. Hill. No member of the public should be forced to risk costly litigation simply to enjoy Florida’s beaches as the Constitution guarantees."

"Ms. Hill continues to defend her right to visit the shoreline of the Gulf on this particular beach, as she has for decades."

While Hill has allegedly been the most vocal protester, the Littrell family said they have been victims of other naysayers in the community who continue to harass and threaten their livelihood.

"It will eventually come out, but all the pictures and the documents that we have from social media and the threats, the physical threats to my family … they've talked about burning our house down, burning it down," Brian told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview. "They've talked about bringing guns. They said, ‘Yeah, guns are allowed in Florida.’ They want to spray us with mace. They want to punch my teeth out, you know, it's like, it's crazy."

"It's scary to have to be in this small community with a lot of angry people honestly and then making us out to be these monsters that we're not," Leighanne added. "We love this town, but now we don't know where to eat because of who hates us."

"Servers, they're even telling their servers like spit in our food," said Brian.

Brian said he and his family are "good people" and only want to keep the peace and "educate people on the facts of what they should and shouldn't do, the protocol, the misinformation that's out there."

"We're not trying to take something that's not ours. We just want to enjoy the sand," he said.

Littrell's attorney, Peter Ticktin of Ticktin Law Group, said, "I know Brian is referring to the beach as a piece of sand, but the fact of the matter is, that's his backyard. That's his private backyard."

"For people to decide to camp out in his backyard is no different than if they were to camp out in anybody else's backyard," Ticktin emphasized.

Ticktin said the community members are pushing this narrative that Littrell is "trying to steal the property."

"My client is an innocent purchaser for value," Ticktin said. "[Brian and Leighanne] wanted, this is what they worked so hard for. This is where their talent was able to give them the success that they were able to achieve. And here it was going to manifest itself into the home of their dreams."

"The American dream is being able to buy a home and buying a home that you really, really aspired to have. And finally, he gets to that level. They get to this thing. They're happy as can be, and then, all of a sudden, we've got these characters that come on the scene to bring drama where they should have, you know, peaceful and quiet enjoyment of their property."

"They've got public beaches," he continued. "They don't need this beach, which is a private beach. And that matches the private beach, but in the middle of a bunch of other private beaches, so, you know, surrounded by private beaches. It's not bordering on a public beach where people simply make a mistake. No, this is an assault on, on American values. That's what this really is."

Despite the ongoing legalities, Brian said he and his family continue to focus on their many blessings.

"We've been attacked for close to a little over two years now that this has been going on, and I don't want to give anybody my joy. I don't want somebody to take away my joy as well. So that to me as a father, as a husband, as provider, it's like, that's my job."

"I got to keep my joy and I have to figure out a new way to look at it," he said. "Every time we come down here, you know, I fall back in love with how it makes me feel."

In July, Littrell filed a lawsuit against Walton County, accusing the sheriff’s department of refusing to keep public beachgoers off his private beach.

"This is a truth issue. It's a fairness issue of the backyard of my place being a sanctuary," Littrell, 51, told Fox News' Dana Perino during an appearance on "America's Newsroom" last year.

"This lady in the video that you showed, traveled past two or three public beaches just to get to this place to cause issues for my family," the musician continued, referring to the bodycam footage of a Walton County police officer asking a beachgoer to leave Littrell's property. "It's property rights, this is what we're talking about. I bought this place many years ago, and they obviously know who I am. They're coming after my family. They're coming after my son, they're coming after my wife. You know, we play fair. We should be on here talking about the success of Backstreet Boys, but we're talking about people invading my privacy. It's unfortunate."

Brian said his personal legal issues have affected his career, even as his successful Las Vegas residency with the Backstreet Boys continues to add shows.

"It changes my perspective a little bit because of just the unsafety that you feel," he admitted. "Being on stage for me is a peaceful, exciting, exuberant … like I mean, you name it. That's my job, and it's my joy, but yet it makes you think like, you know, there's 17,000 people here tonight, and you know a couple of them might not like me. And the world we live in today is a lot different than it was when the Backstreet Boys started in the '90s."

"It just kind of makes you a little more well-rounded, a little bit more thoughtful because you have to think ahead," he said.

But Brian and Leighanne continue to lean on what matters most to them: their faith.

Russell, who currently stars in Taylor Sheridan's "The Madison," told Fox News Digital that he and Goldie Hawn split their time between Los Angeles and Colorado.

"What I enjoy most is that [Hawn] really likes it in Colorado," Russell began. "Wyatt and Meredith and their two boys, they live in Colorado now. So we like to spend as much time there as we can."

Russell explained that their current lifestyle emulates "The Madison," since they travel back and forth between Los Angeles and Colorado.

"We love real estate," he said, before explaining that their home in Colorado is his favorite.

"I moved to Colorado when I was 26 years old. At a certain point, you find yourself asking whether you're going to live the life you want to live, or if you're just going to talk about it. And I decided to make the move and live the life I wanted to live," he said.

Russell continued, "But my business was still primarily out of Los Angeles, so my life's been split, going back and forth. I'm glad I did what I did. I've enjoyed my life the way I've wanted to and I've been able to continue on in the business too. I was able to make that happen. I could draw on that in ‘The Madison.’ My history with fly-fishing, for instance, goes way back. So I guess it's something that came naturally."

Six months after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex extended their Netflix partnership with a multiyear, first-look deal for film and television projects through Archewell Productions, the streaming giant decided to part ways with Markle's "As ever" lifestyle brand.

The sudden end to a Markle project raised "serious questions" about Meghan's credibility, and also opened the doors for further skepticism about any chance of a royal reconciliation, experts say.

Representatives for Archewell did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Harry and Meghan first partnered with Netflix in 2020 with a reported $100 million deal, going on to work together on the 2022 series, "Harry & Meghan," "Live to Lead," "Heart of Invictus" in 2023, and "Polo" in 2024, before announcing in July 2025 that they would not be renewing their deal, but instead opting for a "first look" partnership.

"Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life," a spokesperson for Netflix told Fox News Digital last week.

"As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world."

"Harry is viewed as commercially oriented, any trust in him at all is lacking," Fordwich explained. "Yet another loss of such a contract narrows further any options he has, so any outreaches to the family are viewed with even more skepticism. He needs the selling proposition and the family knows it."

John McDermott, co-founder of Caloroga Shark Media and creator of the "Palace Intrigue" podcast, noted that the former royals could take a page from the Prince and Princess of Wales when it comes to press.

During an interview with Fox News Digital at the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum opened up about the Mellencamp bond and how her diagnosis forced a new level of vulnerability and closeness between father and daughter.

"He was there with me at the hospital every day. So, I mean, he’s seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Um, but I talk to him—I mean, he calls every day to check in," Teddi began. "This is a hard journey, and especially when you’re in treatment. I thought the surgery was going to be the hardest part, but it’s the treatment that’s really been weighing on me."

Teddi shared that her diagnosis brought her closer to her famous father, John.

Later that month, a scan showed her tumors were decreasing in size. One of the many debilitating effects she suffered from on her cancer journey was her inability to speak clearly.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, 40 Days for Life CEO Shawn Carney said British lawmakers are following efforts by Democrats in the U.S. in seeking to allow abortion in these instances, which he described as "absolutely absurd."

"They haven't really lobbied for this," Carney said. "Typically, Europe is far more conservative on abortion than the United States. Most European countries regulate abortion to 12 weeks. England has 16. In some cases, they do late term, up to 24 weeks. But now they want abortion through all 40 weeks. And this just seems sort of out of nowhere."

Carney said he fears this bill, if enacted into law, would "start an unfortunate trend throughout Europe."

The Crime and Policing Bill includes a provision, Clause 208, that would remove criminal penalties for women in England and Wales who end their own pregnancy at any stage. The bill is now in its final stages in the House of Lords and is expected to receive a vote as early as Wednesday. If the House of Lords approves the clause, the bill would return to the House of Commons for any final changes before receiving Royal Assent to become law.

Under the provision, a woman can no longer be investigated, arrested or prosecuted for ending her own pregnancy at any gestation, even though the current standard legal threshold for most abortions in England and Wales is 24 weeks.

While women who terminate their pregnancies would be exempt from criminal liability, doctors and others who assist in an abortion after 24 weeks without medical necessity can still face prosecution.

As lawmakers consider Clause 208, several amendments have been offered, including removing it entirely, modifying it to exclude late-term abortions and adding an in-person requirement for medical consultations to end so-called "pills-by-post" services.

Carney argued that the latter two amendments should still be unacceptable, stating that the clause appears to represent "a desire to kill."

"I think it's insane," he said. "I know what they're trying to do, but you need to combat the laws by saying we're not aborting children at 40 weeks. The left built an entire movement on being able to survive outside the womb with viability. Then, as science and medicine progressed, viability changed because we could do a lot for unborn children. So they said at first it was 24 weeks, and then it was 22 weeks. Some say it's 20 weeks. Others say it's still 22 weeks. Nobody's ever said it was 40 weeks. They've all said, of course, you can survive outside the womb. This is just a desire to kill, it seems, at 40 weeks."

"I understand the idea of trying to make a legal compromise," he continued. "But the compromise would be that you people have lost your minds. You want to abort a child the day before he or she is born. And it's not medically necessary. The baby's completely viable… so that's how I think that you have to defeat these bills."

Carney also said that "people don't want to celebrate abortion" and "certainly don't want to brag about how they can have an abortion up to 40 weeks," adding that opponents of the U.K. bill are "missing common sense responses" to efforts to allow any abortion up until birth.

He added that while most people are not "monsters" seeking abortions at 40 weeks, removing legal liability for women at that point could make abortion more socially acceptable.

"I think what it does is it takes a little bit of a stigma away from abortions at 8, 10, 12, 16 weeks, because typically what we've seen in the U.S. is when you have states that say, hey, you're going to have an abortion through all 40 weeks, what they do is say, well, OK, I'm not that bad. My abortion is not that bad because it's only at 10 weeks, it's only at 12 weeks, it's only at 16 weeks," Carney said.

"It's not that you're going to see a lot of abortions at 40 weeks. It's the mentality that abortion is not a big deal. You can even do it the day before birth, and so it's more acceptable to most people," he continued.

"People aren't monsters," he added. "The monsters write these bills, which are typically very liberal White people who say, you know what, we need to be able to have an abortion the day before your birthday. And most people look around at a party and say that person's clinically insane."

The left "has just married themselves to this," Carney said.

"They believe you need unfettered abortion at all times in order to be a free and just society," Carney said. "But nobody's actually really medically needing that whatsoever."

"Below Deck" star Captain Sandy Yawn and wife Leah Shafer spoke out about their ongoing legal battle against their former contractor, Spencer Calvert.

Yawn revealed how much money they lost in the alleged scam in an interview with Fox News Digital, alongside Shafer and friend Randi Gold.

"All of our money. Gone. Emotionally, we were wrecked," Yawn said.

"But here's the deal: like, I love God, Leah loves God — we love God. So we knew that we were going to get through this because, no matter what, as long as you do the next right thing and just show up in life and show others by your example how you walk through things, then that's what it's about, right?" Yawn added.

In 2020, they hired Calvert to build their $1.6 million Jacksonville, Florida, home along with 12 other families, but instead he allegedly pocketed the money.

Of the 33 homes he took on, he allegedly only completed 18, per the New York Post.

He allegedly defrauded them out of about $18 million, according to the St. Johns Citizen, leaving their dream homes unfinished.

Calvert was charged with grand theft, misapplication of construction funds and organized scheme to defraud, according to TMZ.

In February, Calvert entered a guilty plea and accepted the state's deal of five years in prison, $150,000 to each victim upfront, $1.47 million in restitution to the victims, and 20 years of probation, according to First Coast News.

Yawn and the other victims appeared in a courtroom in St. Johns County, Florida, to challenge the plea deal their former contractor tried to take.

Yawn and the victims testified against him, pushing for 10 years behind bars.

The plea deal was revised by the state after the victims' statements, asking for a $650,000 payment upfront and 10 years in prison, which Calvert and his team rejected — with a pretrial hearing scheduled next month.

Fox News Digital reached out to Calvert's attorney, Mitchell A. Stone, for comment.

In 2024, Stone gave a statement to Entertainment Weekly: "Although I cannot comment on the evidence at this time, our investigation has revealed that my client was a respected home builder and businessman for many years. As in all businesses, market conditions sometimes create unexpected challenges. Supply chain and work force issues can impact construction costs which in turn can cause a ripple effect on the home building industry resulting in financial loss."

Stone noted that "regardless of any explanation, we are committed to trying to resolve those problems favorably," adding, "my client never intended any person or business to suffer any loss."

On why they went to the courtroom and took a stand, Shafer said that they "just had enough."

"A circle talking, false promises, and it was just time to stand up for ourselves," Shafer added.

"Also, the community kept reaching out to the local government and no one was responding. And sometimes it takes people who are on TV to get things done because you get the press — which is really not... it shouldn't work like that. Every voice should matter, especially when you're being robbed," Yawn said.

They realized something was going on with their home after Yawn's sister called her.

Yawn and Shafer were in Colorado at the time, so they were not in Florida to keep tabs on the construction project.

"My sister called me and said something's going on because your house… nothing's happening," Yawn explained, with Shafer adding: "It’s at a standstill. There's like weeds growing, the tiles weren't on. It was two years later."

Shafer said when they realized they were allegedly being defrauded by Calvert, she "cried," noting that she "couldn't believe it."

"I think we both cried. And then you feel betrayal. And when you have emptied your bank account already – we started calling our friends trying to borrow money to finish our house. Yeah, because we spent all our money on our house," Yawn said.

Shafer also revealed that she got her contractor permits afterward in order to complete their home, and also formed relationships with people in St. Johns County.

"I just went through the list of what you do. Oh, electric? Oh, plumbing? And it's impressive when you pay people, they show up! Go figure. So we finished our house little by little, and we're still trying to finish it," Shafer said.

Yawn and Shafer tied the knot in May 2024.

Shafer said life changed "for the better" post marriage, calling it "wonderful" and is "happier than ever."

Yawn said they "learned communication."

"When you're in a relationship, you have to learn how to communicate with kindness because you never want to hurt anyone," Yawn said.

Yawn has been the captain in "Below Deck Mediterranean" since season two. The tenth season premiered in fall 2025.

The show premiered in 2016 on Bravo as a spinoff of the show "Below Deck."

The series follows the crew as they live and work on a superyacht, in different areas around the Mediterranean in Europe each season.

Yawn replaced Captain Mark Howard, who appeared in season one.

On how much longer she sees herself captaining superyachts, Yawn said: "You know, no, it's not because I love boating. You know what I love about ‘Below Deck Mediterranean?’ I get to drive a different boat every year."

Adding: "That is the coolest part. Because when you're a captain you work for one guy on one boat. So I get to drive different boats with different problems, so my problem-solving skills become sharper, especially when it comes to docking."

Willie Robertson may be known for his signature beard and camouflage, but in his 20s, the "Duck Dynasty" star looked nothing like the outdoorsman viewers came to recognize.

According to his wife, Korie Robertson, that clean-cut season of life was actually his rebellious phase.

"I always say Willie’s 20s were his rebellious period," Korie told Fox News Digital with a laugh. "He shaved and showered regularly and didn’t wear any camo. He wore polo and Girbaud jeans. He was, like, preppy in his 20s."

It’s a far cry from the Duck Commander CEO fans recognize today, but Willie says stepping away from the family’s hunting roots felt natural at the time.

"In my 20s, I never would have dreamed I’d have worked at the family business," Willie said. "That’s not where I thought I would end up."

Back then, Duck Commander was still a growing operation founded by Willie’s father, Phil Robertson. The now 53-year-old businessman had ambitions that extended beyond duck calls and camouflage.

But as he approached 30, something began to shift.

"Gradually, he kind of started turning more into his dad," Korie said. "The beard started growing, he started wearing more camo, and went back to the family business."

What began as a return eventually turned into leadership. Willie helped expand Duck Commander into a nationally recognized brand and later into one of cable television’s biggest reality hits with the original "Duck Dynasty."

Looking back, he says the path was far from predictable.

"You never know how life changes," Willie said. "They may end up being interested."

Now, decades later, Willie — who recently joked that he’s "fully semi-retired" — finds himself in a different role. As the Robertson family returns for season two of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," he’s watching his own children and their spouses step into the spotlight and explore their own business ventures inside the Duck Commander warehouse.

"We’ve grown a lot," Willie said of the family’s current chapter. "We’ve expanded."

"So back in the day, it was just ducks. And so now there's so many different flavors of business that happened in our location," he added.

With that growth, he has gained a fresh perspective.

"I always want them to do what it is that they love and enjoy," Willie said of his children. "If that happens to be Duck Commander, that’s great. If it’s some other business, that’s fine as well."

As the next generation takes the stage, some of the Robertson in-laws are getting their first taste of reality television.

Korie said her son-in-law, Christian Huff, embraced filming right away.

"I’ll say Christian, I think he had the most fun. He loved filming and had a blast, went all in," she said. "That’s kind of one of our family mottos, is like just go all in, don’t hold back, just have fun, don’t take yourself too seriously and just go all in."

Willie laughed, joking that Huff might have been auditioning for the role long before the cameras returned.

"Christian was probably watching ‘Duck Dynasty’ saying, ‘I could totally do that. Just turn that camera on and let me go,’" Willie said.

Korie laughed and added, "Just give me my chance."

The Robertson family's return to the screen continues as "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" moves into its second season.
