When this accomplished American hero returned home, still in his flight suit, he was greeted by his entire neighborhood. He stood before them and spoke words straight from Scripture: "Let’s be this more. Let’s be neighbors. God told us to love Him with all that we are and love our neighbors as ourselves."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That is the message America desperately needs. It is humble. It is biblical. It is unifying. It calls every one of us, regardless of race, background, or neighborhood, to the kind of neighborly love that builds strong families, safe streets, and thriving communities.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Victor Glover represents what is possible when&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/faith-values/faith" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt; faith&lt;/a&gt;, discipline, excellence, and personal responsibility come together. Now his unborn son will grow up without a father, and his family is left to grieve a life stolen in a moment of senseless violence.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Police are still searching for the suspects, four people of interest, including three men and one woman. Another innocent life gone. Another family shattered. Another reminder that evil does not care about skin color, political slogans, or excuses.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/ive-seen-bodies-my-block-know-what-really-stops-killing" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I'VE SEEN THE BODIES ON MY BLOCK — AND I KNOW WHAT REALLY STOPS THE KILLING&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is the deadly result when we choose dysfunction over discipline. When we protect violence instead of confronting it. When we make excuses for those who violate the most basic social contract: that we do not harm the innocent, that we do not destroy what others have built, that we do not turn our neighborhoods into war zones.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a pastor who has buried too many young men on&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/chicago" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt; Chicago’s South Side&lt;/a&gt;, I say this plainly: we cannot keep tolerating or excusing the culture of lawlessness and then act shocked when it claims more victims, whether they are teens in Englewood or a young father in Avondale. Real justice is biblical justice. It protects the innocent. It punishes the guilty without apology. It demands accountability from every citizen, no matter their background.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/chicagos-deadly-sanctuary-madness-costing-innocent-americans-lives" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;CHICAGO'S DEADLY SANCTUARY MADNESS IS COSTING INNOCENT AMERICANS THEIR LIVES&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We need a sanctuary for all, we need safe communities where fathers can walk home at night, where children can play without fear, where families can build futures instead of burying them. That sanctuary will never come from more government programs, more victimhood narratives, or more soft bigotry of low expectations. It comes only when Victor Glover’s message wins out: Love God. Love your neighbor. Speak truth. Enforce consequences. Because the contrast is impossible to ignore. In a world that feels louder, more divided and honestly more self-obsessed by the day, this place runs on a completely different set of values, and somehow, it works better than everything else.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I’m a college kid. I live on my phone. I see what trends, what flops, what people pretend to care about and what they actually do.             <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;Urban America does not need a political party. For decades, we were told that if we only had the right political savior, our problems would be solved. But no one is coming.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What Urban America needs are principles: the &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/faith-values/values" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;timeless, universal values&lt;/a&gt; of faith, family, agency, ownership, discipline, safety and accountability.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We don’t need any more of this Republican vs. Democrat talk. We’ve done it to death, and we cannot afford to succumb to false promises any longer — not when our communities have only worsened. A man once told me that progress can only happen the moment we stop lying to ourselves. It is far easier to believe in false promises than to look at the cold reality of where most of urban America, including my &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/chicago" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;South Side Chicago neighborhood&lt;/a&gt;, stands — at the bottom of the American totem pole.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/walking-across-america-found-real-unity-communities-shock-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MY WALK ACROSS AMERICA PROVES WE'RE NOT NEARLY AS DIVIDED AS DC CLAIMS&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In my Walk Across America, which is now taking me through the Cotton Belt in the Deep South, I have seen many urban communities. In far too many of these areas, I’ve met people whose dreams have been dimmed by a cycle of government dependency that saps dignity and stifles growth. These people have been cut off from the greatness of America.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That is why I’ve come to believe that what Urban America needs most are American principles. Those principles do not belong to any political party. They are universal and timeless. They are why people from all over the world want to come here.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The greatest sin is that we who live in Urban America have allowed ourselves to be separated from these principles. We have sold ourselves short by embracing inferior ideologies. How can anything grounded solely in race lift us up? But the principles of individualism — from accountability to responsibility — can do wonders for developing one’s talents and capabilities.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/mississippis-school-miracle-shames-failing-chicago-leaders-education" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MISSISSIPPI'S SCHOOL MIRACLE SHAMES FAILING CHICAGO LEADERS ON EDUCATION&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Many Urban American neighborhoods rank at the bottom in statistics when it comes to education, violence and two-parent families. We don’t even go to church that often, which is very telling in itself. The only way out is development grounded in American principles.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Our Johnny, at his core, is no different than suburban Johnny. Our Johnny may not have all the resources that suburban Johnny has, but so what? We’ve used that as an excuse for too long. We focus on the differences between the two Johnnys, but they are all external. What we don’t focus on are the commonalities. Both Johnnys share the miracle of the human body: two feet, two hands, two eyes, two ears and the wonder of the brain. That is why we must embrace the belief that Urban Johnny can embrace the same American principles that suburban Johnny uses and rise to the top. We have no other choice but to try.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What I’m talking about here, ultimately, is a mind reset. We’ve been told for decades that America is a horrible and racist country, where police lurk behind every corner waiting to shoot us dead. That’s a lie. People in &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/crime/homicide" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Urban America kill each other&lt;/a&gt; at far greater rates than any outsider, and yet no one points to that fact. I asked him where he was from. Ireland. I asked him what he thought of America. "The greatest country in the world," he said without hesitation. He went on to tell me that at night he works as a waiter and makes $300 in tips. But what he said next stayed with me:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"No one tells me what to do. I get up in the morning. I have a family to support — three kids and a dog. I have to get up. &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/economy/jobs" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;If I don’t go to work&lt;/a&gt;, we get nothing. It’s all on us. So I work and work.             <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;Sunday’s &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/team-usa-mens-hockey-wins-gold-medal-overtime-against-canada-winter-olympics" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;2-1 overtime win&lt;/a&gt; for the United States men’s hockey team over archrival Canada is arguably our nation’s most significant winter gold medal since the last time our boys were kings of the sport during the 1980 "Miracle on Ice," and the &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/education/patriotism" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;team’s pride in its country&lt;/a&gt; just made it all the sweeter.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You may recall that, from the outset of the games in Milan Cortina two weeks ago, there were American athletes chiding and criticizing our nation from their press podiums, and while correlation is not causation, many of them didn’t fare terribly well.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Take Hunter Hess, the American freestyle skier who said about representing the U.S. prior to competing, "It brings up mixed emotions to represent the U.S. right now. It’s a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of." He added, "I think, for me, it’s more I’m representing my friends and family."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hess finished 10th — and his 15 minutes of fame ended.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/team-usa-mens-hockey-arrives-florida-after-winning-olympic-gold" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;TEAM USA MEN'S HOCKEY ARRIVES IN FLORIDA AFTER WINNING OLYMPIC GOLD&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Then there was figure skater Amber Glenn, who said members of the LGBT community in America are "having a hard time" and that she would use her voice to "try to encourage people to stay strong."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It’s worth noting that Iran had a winter Olympic team this year. One wonders how Glenn thinks gays and lesbians are treated there.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Notably, while her teammates helped secure a team gold in figure skating, Glenn finished a disappointing fifth in singles, missing the podium — which hopefully gave her extra time to focus on gay rights.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/miracle-ice-star-tells-60-minutes-historic-olympic-victory-showed-what-makes-our-country-so-great" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;'MIRACLE ON ICE' STAR TELLS '60 MINUTES' HISTORIC OLYMPIC VICTORY SHOWED 'WHAT MAKES OUR COUNTRY SO GREAT'&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;America did win singles gold, through figure skater Alysa Liu, who not only did not complain about her country but chose to compete for the United States instead of China, as fellow Chinese-American freestyle skier Eileen Gu did. Liu and her family, after all, found freedom here.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Then there was hockey — the glorious men’s and women’s tournaments in which both U.S. teams took gold. There was no whining about America or President &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/person/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Donald Trump&lt;/a&gt;. But it certainly seems like playing for millions of people — instead of just your "friends and family" — could provide a boost.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;By definition, top Olympic athletes compete at such a high level of talent and ability that the slightest advantage can make all the difference.             <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;In celebration of the &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/america-250" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;250th anniversary of the United States&lt;/a&gt;, a plane will showcase rare documents from our nation’s founding, giving Americans the opportunity to "experience" history right before their eyes. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The National Archives and Records Administration and National Archives Foundation (NAF) announced this week that the documents will be traveling in a Boeing 737, dubbed the Freedom Plane.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Freedom Plane will travel to eight different cities starting in March and concluding at the end of August. The cities are Kansas City, Atlanta, &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/los-angeles" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Los Angeles&lt;/a&gt;, Houston, Denver, Miami, Dearborn and Seattle.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/travel/americas-250th-anniversary-sparks-travel-rush-experts-issue-urgent-booking-warning"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;AMERICA'S 250TH ANNIVERSARY SPARKS TRAVEL RUSH AS EXPERTS ISSUE URGENT BOOKING WARNING&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On the plane will be the original engraving of the &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/constitution" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Declaration of Independence&lt;/a&gt; in 1823 — one of only about 50 known engraved copies.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The document was commissioned by John Quincy Adams and was made by engraver William J.             <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;As I walked through Pocahontas Island — the oldest free Black community in the United States — on my 3,000-mile journey across America, I felt the weight of history and the hope of tomorrow.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This walk, which began on Sept. 1, 2025, in New York City has now taken me &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/us-regions/southeast/virginia" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;through Virginia&lt;/a&gt;. I have been distant from all the discord online but have seen enough to see how this division is tearing our nation apart. The reason for my walk is to call for a restoration of merit, faith and the &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/education/patriotism" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;American Dream&lt;/a&gt;, and none of this discord moves us in that direction, a direction, a goal that I believe most of us aspire to.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On this walk, I’ve been given a gift I didn’t expect: silence. Hours of quiet on the road have allowed me to reflect, pray and listen — to God, to myself and to the people I meet along the way. &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/faith-values" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;The Bible&lt;/a&gt; tells us in James 1:19, "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." That verse has guided me on this walk, reminding me that true understanding begins with listening.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/lancaster-market-i-witnessed-america-still-works-no-politics-required" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;AT LANCASTER MARKET, I WITNESSED AN AMERICA THAT STILL WORKS — NO POLITICS REQUIRED&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In today’s world, we’re polarized, angry and quick to judge. Online, a single disagreement can turn into a shouting match, where we reduce the entirety of an individual to that one perceived political offense. But out here in the real world, face-to-face with folks from all walks of life, I’m seeing something different.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I’ve met people I might have clashed with on social media — over politics, race or policy — yet in person, I’ve discovered their hearts. A farmer disagreed with my views on education reform, especially school choice, but shared how he prays for his kids every night. A young mother argued with me about who was responsible for the government shutdown but then told me about her dream to start a business. These conversations revealed people’s souls, not just opinions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/fredericksburgs-fields-still-speak-pray-america-listen-freedoms-echo" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;FREDERICKSBURG'S FIELDS STILL SPEAK. I PRAY THAT AMERICA WILL LISTEN TO FREEDOM'S ECHO&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This reminds me of Proverbs 18:13, which says, "To answer before listening — that is folly and shame." Too often, we’re guilty of that online. We attack without hearing the other side. We fall for clickbait headlines. But on this walk, the silence has restored my patience. It’s taught me to sit with someone, hear their story and find common ground. I might not agree with everything they say, but I see their humanity. And that’s where healing begins.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Pocahontas Island was a powerful stop for me. It is the oldest free Black community in America. In the early 1800s, its population included both free Black residents and enslaved individuals. Those who were free could own property and live independently, a rarity in the pre-Civil War South. They faced problems greater than ours. Their freedom was perilous — slavery was everywhere. Yet, they focused on freedom.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We’re losing sight of that today. They are destroying the fabric of America with their toxic form of &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/stop-funding-woke-stupid" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;identity politics and tribalism&lt;/a&gt; — and some are even making money off our attention. Who loses in the end? But this year, in the wake of growing economic inequality and a government increasingly catering to billionaires and special interests, Labor Day needs to be more than a long holiday weekend. It must be the impetus of a battle cry for workers everywhere to rise up, realize their collective strength and take their power back.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hedge fund managers and tech moguls did not build this country or the American middle class. It was technicians, engineers, installers, teachers, caregivers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, ironworkers, painters, laborers, operators, mechanics, drivers, farmworkers, clerks, grocers and so many others. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They went to work each day – often invisible and without fair pay, benefits, or even basic dignity. They risked their jobs, their safety and sometimes their lives to &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/economy/labor-unions" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;secure better working conditions&lt;/a&gt; we all enjoy today, like an eight-hour workday, overtime pay and the right to organize.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I’ve spent my career enforcing labor law and fighting to protect workers’ rights. I’ve seen how powerful working people can be when they come together. The bosses and billionaires see it, too – and it terrifies them. That’s why they’re working hard in Washington to rig the system, spending millions to weaken worker protections and make it harder for workers to exercise their rights to unionize, collectively bargain and mobilize to improve their working conditions, and to enjoy their freedoms of speech, assembly, association and expression.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/you-better-off-since-donald-trump-took-office" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ARE YOU BETTER OFF SINCE DONALD TRUMP TOOK OFFICE?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Today, we’re living through one of the largest transfers of wealth in modern history. Working people and &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/economy/jobs" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;families juggle multiple jobs&lt;/a&gt; while corporations pop champagne over record profits and billionaires buy second yachts. Recent estimates show the Republican budget bill will only deepen this disparity, by taking away Medicaid and SNAP assistance from millions of Americans to pay for tax cuts for the super wealthy that they really don’t need and didn’t earn. They’re profiting off the backs of so many hard-working people.  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is not an accident. It’s the direct result of a system where corporations and their donors have an outsized voice and direct influence on our democracy – and politicians showering them with loopholes and special treatment. For example, President Donald Trump’s Labor Department recently announced they were rolling back 60 workplace regulations, putting workers at greater risk of being hurt while making it easier for employers to get away with it. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Similarly, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) remains without a quorum, rendering it impossible to issue rulings or make decisions that hold corporations accountable for breaking the law. My fear is that, if this continues, we’ll find ourselves living in an environment reflective of what it was like before 1935’s National Labor Relations Act: lower wages, substandard working conditions and no real channels for workers to fight back.  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/dont-fooled-mamdani-isnt-future-democratic-party-two-patriotic-women" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;DON'T BE FOOLED. MAMDANI ISN'T THE FUTURE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. THESE TWO PATRIOTIC WOMEN ARE&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Billionaires and corporations hope this will make workers feel defeated. We can’t let that happen because the truth is – workers aren’t powerless. To the contrary, they have tremendous power.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Let’s remember our history. From the Boston Tea Party to women’s suffrage to the Civil Rights Movement to the strikes at the turn of the 20th century, workers have always been a catalyst for change. Protests, boycotts, picketing, strikes, sit-ins, non-cooperation – these have never been signs of violence or dysfunction. They’re &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/personal-freedoms/america-together" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;expressions of democracy&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Our present moment in history is no different – and workers must realize they have tools to begin reclaiming this country and their power to demand changes to the way they’re governed and how they live their lives.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/sen-bernie-sanders-we-have-government-of-billionaires-for-billionaires-by-billionaires" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;WE HAVE A GOVERNMENT OF BILLIONAIRES, BY BILLIONAIRES AND FOR BILLIONAIRES&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Support for unions has skyrocketed to its highest point in generations, especially among young people. They’re organizing at coffee shops, warehouses, grocery stores, newspapers, universities, airlines, hospitals, tech campuses and many other locations because they realize the power they hold through standing together and bargaining collectively. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They’re rightfully demanding more than just survival – they’re demanding respect. They’re standing strong in the face of union-busting campaigns, retaliatory firings and illegal threats because they know what’s at stake – not just for themselves, but for their families and their communities. There’s strength in numbers. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That’s what gives me hope because collective power is stronger than individual power. We’re seeing a &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/politics/foreign-policy/human-rights" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;groundswell of organizing&lt;/a&gt; in places once thought impossible to organize, especially when people feel their elected representatives aren’t listening to them. Henry’s call, "Give me liberty or give me death," ignited a revolutionary spirit that Jefferson would later capture on parchment.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As we approach July 4, 2026, America's 250th birthday, Jefferson’s words resonate with renewed importance: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." These words mark the &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/unwinnable-war-americas-founding-fathers-fought-won-changed-human-history-forever" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;beginning of our nation&lt;/a&gt;. These words inspired men and women, enslaved and free, native and immigrant. These words changed the world forever. Every movement for human dignity, equality, and liberty from then on, here and in every corner of the earth, has looked to these words for inspiration and justification.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Throughout our history, America has persistently worked toward these &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/travel/americas-oldest-independence-day-parade-marks-240-years-patriotic-tradition" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;aspirational ideals&lt;/a&gt;, often imperfectly, but always purposefully. From the Committees of Correspondence in Williamsburg, to the Fairfax Resolves in Alexandria, to the voices of the Overmountain Men in Roanoke and Patrick Henry in Richmond—courageous actions were taken by people who did not always agree, did not always like or trust one another, but who chose to act because their common cause was more important than their divisions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Even in the face of deep risk and uncertainty, people made difficult, often dangerous choices. Enslaved men like James Armistead Lafayette and Gowan Pamphlet took great personal risks to fight for the hope of freedom.             <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;A 6-year-old Florida boy who fell into a pool and started drowning was saved due to the quick-thinking &lt;a href="https://foxnews.com/category/us/military/heroism" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;heroics of a stranger&lt;/a&gt; – and it was all caught on camera.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Surveillance video shows the young boy, named Oscar, arrive at the pool in &lt;a href="https://foxnews.com/category/us/us-regions/southeast/florida" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Fort Lauderdale&lt;/a&gt; with an adult. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He tries to jump onto a pool float, but loses his balance and falls into the pool.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The adult with Oscar begins screaming for help as the boy begins to sink to the bottom of the pool. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://foxnews.com/us/video-captures-dramatic-rescue-florida-man-found-unresponsive-spinning-boat" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;VIDEO CAPTURES DRAMATIC RESCUE OF FLORIDA MAN FOUND UNRESPONSIVE ON SPINNING BOAT&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Roque Ivan Ocampo was passing by when he heard the screams for help and ran to assist.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As Ocampo quickly takes his shoes off, he dives right in to save Oscar.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://foxnews.com/us/hero-officers-good-samaritans-who-went-above-beyond-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HERO OFFICERS AND GOOD SAMARITANS WHO WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND IN 2024&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ocampo immediately began pulling him to the surface of the water towards the ladder.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Another bystander assisted Ocampo with getting Oscar out of the water.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;During a press conference, Ocampo told the media that he saw Oscar wasn’t breathing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"​​I started doing CPR. &lt;a href="https://foxnews.com/category/entertainment/genres/kids" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;The kid wasn’t&lt;/a&gt; breathing, but I keep doing it and doing it until he started breathing again," Ocampo said.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/crime/police-and-law-enforcement" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Through police body cam footage&lt;/a&gt;, officers are seen arriving to find Oscar breathing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The officers quickly took over and spoke to Oscar, asking him if he could squeeze their hand. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Officers then carry Oscar out of the pool area and to the paramedics.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/download"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The 6-year-old survived because of the quick action taken by Ocampo.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"I don’t feel like a hero. "Their stories are so inspiring, and getting to bring them up on stage and share just a moment of gratitude with them for that entire crowd, and everyone in the crowd cheering them on and just reminding them that all of their sacrifices are appreciated. I have lots of friends that are in the military. I've lived with a lot of them over the years, and they're just really, truly incredible people. They have the ultimate servant’s heart."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On Memorial Day, Brown will be honored at the American Music Awards by the Easy Day Foundation with the inaugural Veterans Voice Award for his "unwavering support to the veteran community."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"This award means a lot to me because of the awareness that it's going to create for our veterans programs," Brown explained to Fox News Digital. "The more people that are aware of how deserving that these incredible people are, the more help that we can bring to them.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/veterans-day-dennis-quaid-trace-atkins-among-hollywood-stars-honoring-military" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;VETERANS DAY: DENNIS QUAID, TRACE ADKINS AMONG HOLLYWOOD STARS HONORING OUR MILITARY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"They're such incredible, dynamic people that make a lot of sacrifices from their family, the quality of their family life when they return home, their mental wellness, all of those things so that we can be free and able to be here."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Brown says many people don’t even think of the sacrifices made by service members "just so we can live in such an amazing country where we feel safe. It's an honor and privilege to get to serve them back."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The country star founded a camp in Georgia that serves veterans and children more than a decade ago. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"We do 34 weeks of veteran programs," he told Fox News Digital. "We serve Bernie Marcus' program Warrior Path at our camp. We were one of the first campuses to be chosen to serve their program. They help with transition to and from service and help serve those with PTSD and other challenges that they find when they come home. And they help them find community and purpose and what their new chapter is going to be like."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The camp also has the Warrior Song program through which "we help them to tell their story, which they may not be comfortable telling a civilian. But they get to tell their story with some amazing talented songwriters so that they can sing their story or can play it back to someone and help to share that part of them and get it out of the shadows because a lot of them carry that weight around that they're only willing to share with other fellow soldiers." &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Camp Southern Ground also hosts a family camp, which Brown says helps service members "see their family as their unit when they come back." &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"It helps them to have tools. It helps them to be with other veterans and their families as well, and they spend time learning how to see their family as their unit and have the tools to integrate together so that they can have a successful marriage and successful parenthood so that they themselves are well," he explained. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"I’m really, really proud of all the things that we’re doing there."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/lee-greenwood-americas-veterans-country-i-have-great-faith" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;LEE GREENWOOD ON AMERICA'S VETERANS AND PRIDE IN OUR COUNTRY: 'I HAVE GREAT FAITH'&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Veterans Voice Award was created to highlight artists like Brown, who are using their platforms to help veterans. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The "Chicken Fried" singer says it’s difficult to single out a personal story a service member has told him because he’s heard so many amazing anecdotes. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"My friend Ollie told me a story about how he thinks about things and how he doesn't ever want his demons to be behind him. He wants them to be chained down in front of him so he can see them and know when they're trying to pull up and get out of their chains, and he knows that he can be aware of that," Brown said. "It's an everyday choice to conquer those things."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Other veterans have also told him how much his music meant to them while they were serving. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"I've been over several times to play for USO, to play in Iraq &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/world/conflicts/afghanistan" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;and Afghanistan&lt;/a&gt; and Kuwait and going out to some of those Ford operating bases where they have not seen anyone that reminds them of home for a really long amount of time," he said.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"Some of them had just lost one of their members to an (improvised explosive device), and they were painting his name on a tank when we got there."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The band ended up filming the music video for its song "Free" at that base.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6369460340112" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GARY SINISE HOPES VETERANS SEE HIS NEW MOVIE, ‘BROTHERS AFTER WAR’&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"As soon as we got our guitars out and the speakers out, and we started playing music, it was like a light came on in their eyes and reminded them of what they're fighting for and what they're doing," he explains. "The things that we ask of them. We spent 10 days over there, and they give years and years of sacrifice for our country so that we can be free here and enjoy our lives. Those stories and remembering being around those incredible people, it moves me, and it's important to give thanks and gratitude to the people that protect us."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It’s especially significant that Brown will be honored on Memorial Day. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"It's important that Americans pause on Memorial Day because a lot of people have fought and died and suffered for our freedom, and I’m grateful that the American Music Awards and Easy Day Foundation are making a point of recognizing this during Monday’s event," he said.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"People can complain about America, complain about whatever, but they haven't gone and lived in other countries," he added. "Most of them haven't gone to live and see what it's like in some of the other places in the world. In America, there are challenges with anything that you're going to do and accomplish, but you can do things here that you cannot do anywhere else."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He says people in the United States can "live that American dream no matter what background you're from, no matter what your history was, to create an amazing life for yourself," adding that veterans provide security "so that we can live the American dream.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"Getting to make music for a living is one of the greatest things in my life," he said. "It's such a privilege to get to do what I love to do. Kennedy Jr.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The USDA and HHS have since announced that they are conducting a "line-by-line" review of the 2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans released by the Biden Administration last year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"I commend &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/person/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;President Trump&lt;/a&gt; on his bold leadership to empower Americans to live longer, healthier, more abundant lives," Secretary Rollins told Fox News Digital. Would you have said the same thing about Joe Biden?’" said Jeffress. We pray for all leaders. He does this because &lt;a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/personal-freedoms/proud-american" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;he loves America&lt;/a&gt; and wants what's best for our country. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"And I think Americans ought to be able to follow any man or woman who has that kind of feeling about our country."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Jeffress added that America's "greatness is in our goodness. And so we were driving in the darkness.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"I couldn't see six inches in front of me, but I noticed an 18-wheeler behind me and I slowed down, and I allowed it to pass me. And once it was in front of me, I focused on its taillights. And I followed it into the nearest town."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"And when we find ourselves in a maelstrom of confusion and suffering," added Jeffress, "we wonder why these things are happening. The Bible says God is close to the brokenhearted.
