Riley Gaines endorses Ken Paxton for Senate, cites fight to protect women's sports

Women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his U.S. Senate race against Democratic state Rep. James Talarico, pointing to the candidates’ sharply different records on transgender athletes and medical treatments for minors.

"Texas needs a senator who will fight without apology for women, for kids, and for the health of every American family," Gaines said in a statement. "Ken Paxton is that leader, and I am proud to support and endorse him."

Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer, became a prominent advocate for preserving female-only athletic divisions after tying transgender swimmer Lia Thomas in the 200-yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA championships.

She praised Paxton as a "relentless fighter for the protection of children" and highlighted his legal action against the NCAA.

"He has taken decisive action against those who would expose our children to irreversible harm and refused to be silent while the radical left was putting the next generation in danger," Gaines said. "He even filed a major lawsuit against the NCAA to keep men out of women’s sports."

Paxton sued the NCAA in December 2024, accusing the organization of violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act by marketing competitions as women’s events while allowing transgender athletes to participate. The lawsuit sought to prevent transgender athletes from competing in NCAA women’s events involving Texas teams or taking place in the state. The NCAA later changed its policy in February 2025 to restrict women’s competition to athletes who were female at birth.

Paxton has also filed lawsuits against doctors he accused of violating a Texas law prohibiting certain transition-related treatments for minors.

Gaines contrasted Paxton’s record with that of Talarico, who opposed legislation requiring Texas public-school athletes to compete on teams corresponding with their biological sex.

"His opponent, James Talarico, is a far-left extremist who has refused to accept biological reality," Gaines said. "He has repeatedly put women’s safety, privacy, and opportunities in danger by championing a radical agenda that forces biological males into girls’ and women’s sports, locker rooms, and private spaces."

During debate over a school sports bill in 2021, Talarico argued that biological sex could be "a spectrum" and invoked his Christian faith while defending transgender children. He later said he still believes transgender people deserve "dignity and equality," although he would express some of his earlier comments differently today. The Texas Tribune reported that Talarico opposed the legislation that ultimately became Texas’ school sports law.

Talarico has separately said he opposes gender-reassignment surgery for minors. His campaign has argued that Republican attacks distort his position and ignore his objections to the broader scope of Texas’ treatment restrictions. PolitiFact reported in June that advertisements depicting Talarico as supporting such surgeries were inaccurate.

Paxton defeated longtime Sen. John Cornyn in the Republican runoff in May. Talarico defeated Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary. The two will face each other in the Nov. 3 general election, which has emerged as one of the country’s most competitive Senate contests.

MLW founder Court Bauer said on "Who’s the Champ" earlier this month that the company was in talks about bringing in Tessa Blanchard, who currently competes in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).

President Donald Trump took to social media ahead of the latest round of Republican primary elections to emphasize, "My Endorsements are stronger than ever....There has never been anything close!"

The numbers back up the president's assertions that despite some setbacks, he remains the ultimate kingmaker in GOP nomination showdowns.

According to a Fox News Trump Primary Endorsement Tracker, the president is batting a thousand in Senate primaries so far this cycle, with all 24 of his endorsed candidates winning their contests.

In House races, Trump has a nearly perfect record, with 214 of the 218 candidates he endorsed winning their primaries.

In gubernatorial showdowns, Trump-backed candidates have suffered a handful of high-profile defeats, but overall, 16 of the 21 contenders for governor the president has endorsed have captured the party's nomination.

Trump-endorsed Sen. Darline Graham of South Carolina, who was recently appointed to fill the remaining months of her late brother Sen. Lindsey Graham's current term, edged conservative Rep. Ralph Norman in a runoff to win the GOP Senate nomination for November's election. Graham will face the Democratic nominee in November in the race for the final months of her late brother’s Senate term.

In Oklahoma, former state budget secretary and former state Sen. Mike Mazzei captured the GOP gubernatorial nomination by just 2,000 votes over rival Gentner Drummond, the state attorney general.

"I supported and ENDORSED two so-called 'underdogs' yesterday, one from South Carolina, and the other from Oklahoma, and they BOTH WON," the president posted on social media Wednesday, following Tuesday's primaries.

The president pulled out all the stops to help push Graham, whose stumble over international affairs during a debate last week grabbed national attention, over the finish line.

Trump headlined a rally for Graham on Friday in Myrtle Beach, where he pledged federal funding for a long proposed new interstate highway in South Carolina. He also held a tele rally for her on the eve of the primary. And MAGA Inc, the top Trump-aligned super PAC, dished out nearly $900,000 to support Graham's campaign.

But the Trump endorsement hasn't proven to be a sure bet this cycle in South Carolina.

Trump backed Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette for the GOP gubernatorial nomination — in the race to succeed the term-limited McMaster — ahead of the state's early June primary.

Evette was the top vote-getter in the primary but lost the ensuing runoff election against South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson in a landslide. And Trump, ever hungry for a victory, endorsed Wilson in addition to Evette days before the runoff.

It's undeniable that Trump has dramatically reshaped the GOP since his first White House victory a decade ago, with the populist MAGA and America First wings gaining prominence over more traditional fiscal and social conservatives.

And the president's grip over party politics remains extremely firm.

But he has had some setbacks, with five of his gubernatorial picks in Republican primaries this year going down to defeat. Besides South Carolina's Evette, that list includes Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and Rep. Randy Feenstra of Iowa, who lost nominating contests this spring. And two weeks ago, Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder and Minnesota businessman and "My Pillow" founder and former CEO Mike Lindell fell short.

Meanwhile, two House incumbents endorsed by the president also lost their bids for renomination this month: Reps. Andy Ogles of Tennessee and Cory Mills of Florida, who was facing multiple controversies.

"The Republican Party is Trump’s party, and there’s no question that an endorsement from the president provides a tremendous boost in a Republican primary. But it doesn’t necessarily mean the candidate’s going to win," veteran GOP strategist and communicator Ryan Williams told Fox News Digital.

Williams said that "the president still has a firm grip on the party, even in places where a candidate he backed loses a nomination." But he noted that "if there are underlying issues with a candidacy, those can pose problems that even an endorsement can’t overcome."

The prosecutor who secured a conviction for Susan Smith, who drowned her two sons, says Lindsay Clancy's defense never proved a "break with reality" as jurors prepare to deliberate following Thursday's closing arguments.

Clancy, 36, faces three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children — Cora, Dawson and Callan, all under age 6 — who were found strangled at the family's home in January 2023. Prosecutors rested their rebuttal case on Wednesday afternoon, with closing arguments scheduled for Thursday before the jury begins deliberating.

Her defense attorney argues that Clancy was experiencing postpartum psychosis when killing her children, a claim that has been heavily refuted by prosecutors.

She received a life prison sentence.

Smith's defense contended she was in a fragile mental state and suffered from severe depression, characterizing the act as a failed suicide attempt in which she had intended to end her own life along with her sons'.

As jurors begin to deliberate on Thursday, Rep. Tommy Pope, who is currently the speaker pro tempore for the South Carolina House of Representatives and prosecuted Smith, told Fox News Digital he thinks Clancy failed to prove she had a break from reality.

"So as a prosecutor, what you try to do, and you've seen it in this case, is the prosecutor will point out all the things that she did that it can be mundane. Sometimes people watch and go, why do they care that she ordered dinner? Why do they hear that she sent her husband away or was able to dial the phone or those things? But that's what you're looking at. Was it a break from reality? Or did she just commit a horrible, horrible crime and make a horrible, horrible choice?" Pope said. "In these circumstances, Clancy had, like I said, all the prior treatment. But I still don't really see the break with reality."

However, Pope said that one of the things that "jumps out" for him is a clear lack of motive in Clancy killing her children, which was present in the Smith murders.

"In this one, it's hard to see the end game," Pope said, referring to the murder case against Clancy. "What was her goal after? Let's say that even jumping out the window was a suicidal gesture, which obviously went terribly wrong for her, if that was the case. But what was her end game? And that's one disconnect I see."

Gregory Saathoff, a University of Virginia forensic psychiatrist who consults for the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, testified Wednesday that financial pressure was among the stressors Clancy faced and may help explain why she killed her children.

Trump floats renaming the Atlantic and Pacific oceans after rebranding historic lake

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order renaming Lake Ontario "Lake America," then joked that the Atlantic and Pacific oceans could be next.

"As you know, we took something called the Gulf of Mexico, we changed it, and now it's very routinely the Gulf of America," Trump said.

"So if you think about it, we have a gulf and we have a lake. Now all we need is an ocean," he continued. "So maybe we'll have to change the name of the Atlantic and or the Pacific. Maybe we'll change them both."

Trump declared the Lake Ontario change "official, effective immediately" while announcing the order.

"And finally, it's the purpose of this more than anything else is we're going to be changing the name of Lake Ontario, effective immediately to Lake America," Trump said. "That's going to take place right now as I signed the order."

The order directs Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, working with the Board on Geographic Names, to take steps within 30 days to rename the lake in the federal Geographic Names Information System and remove references to "Lake Ontario."

It also directs the board to ensure federal maps, contracts, documents and agency communications use the new name.

The order does not control the name used by Canada, which borders the lake along with New York.

It is not Trump’s first effort to put an American stamp on a major body of water.

On his first day back in office, Trump signed Executive Order 14172, "Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness," directing the federal government to use "Gulf of America" in place of the Gulf of Mexico.

Burgum said at the time that the Interior Department had implemented Trump’s instruction from the executive order.

It points to nearly $4 billion in U.S. freshwater ecosystem investment over the last decade, as well as the Coast Guard’s fleet of icebreaking vessels.

"The United States has invested nearly $4 billion in protecting the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem in the last decade, while Canada has invested far less in similar initiatives over the same period," the order states.

The order also cites the lake’s historic role in American trade, settlement, defense, commerce and energy, arguing it remains a major economic and strategic resource for the United States.

"In recognition of this flourishing economic resource and its critical importance to our Nation’s economy and its people, I am directing that the Lake officially be renamed as Lake America," Trump wrote.

Trump’s comments about renaming the Atlantic and Pacific appeared to be a joke. He announced no executive action or formal effort targeting either ocean.

Out-of-this-world fix for data center backlash could be on NASA's horizon

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman is backing a once-futuristic answer to America’s fight over AI data centers: Move them into Earth orbit.

Isaacman said Wednesday that solar-powered facilities in space could tap the sun’s energy without competing for the land, water and grid capacity required by sprawling data centers proposed across the country.

"Let’s take our data centers, put them in Earth orbit, take advantage of that free fusion reactor that’s out there for us and use that to ensure we do win the space race for sure, but the AI race, too," Isaacman said in an interview with Nexstar DC.

Isaacman’s idea comes as voters push back on the data center boom. A Fox News poll this summer found 70% of voters oppose building AI data centers in their own area, while 79% said construction should slow to address environmental and community concerns rather than move as quickly as possible to maintain a competitive edge over China.

Half of those opposed said environmental issues, including energy and water use, pollution and noise, were their chief concern.

The idea comes with its own engineering problems. AI chips produce immense heat, and satellites would have to release it through large radiators. Operators would also need cheap, reliable launches, radiation-resistant hardware and laser links fast enough to connect thousands of computers spread across orbit.

That has not stopped companies from trying to turn the concept into a business. Google has called Project Suncatcher a "moonshot" to place its TPU chips on solar-powered satellites linked by lasers. It plans to launch two prototype satellites by early 2027 to test its hardware in orbit and determine whether the satellites can share data fast enough for AI workloads.

SpaceX is pursuing a more aggressive version. Its proposed AI1 satellite would stand about 98 feet tall, have a wingspan of roughly 246 feet and carry up to 175 kilowatts of average AI computers, according to the company. SpaceX says it is building a Texas factory intended to produce thousands of the satellites as early as late 2027.

Small-scale tests are already underway. Startup Starcloud launched a satellite carrying an Nvidia H100 chip in November and says it later ran a version of Google’s Gemini model and trained a small language model in space. Starcloud plans its first commercial mission, Starcloud-2, for 2027.

SpaceX has also asked the Federal Communications Commission for authority to deploy as many as 1 million orbital data-center satellites between 500 and 2,000 kilometers above Earth. The satellites would use optical links to communicate with one another and SpaceX’s Starlink network. The FCC has accepted the application for review but has not approved the constellation.

Every year, there are plenty of great promotional giveaways across all of sports. Some are useful — I still use a towel I got at a preseason hockey game to wash my car and whack wasp nests off my house — while others just collect dust.

But none have captured the imagination quite like the Chicago White Sox's Pope hats.

Now, Pope Leo has got one to add to his collection of Pope hats... which I imagine is quite extensive.

The team gave away thousands of Papal lids on Aug. 11 during a game in which they defeated the Cincinnati Reds (seems impossible to lose on Pope Hat Night, right?)

Of course, one of those hats needed to travel overseas to Vatican City and the man himself, and Fr. T. Becket A. Franks posted on X that it had arrived.

The MLB-flavored mitre looks pretty sharp, and while it might be a little too black to go along with the Pope's usual ensemble, at least the team's color scheme still works for him.

Good thing he's not a Marlins fan or something like that.

Now, I don't believe for one second that Pope Leo will throw that puppy on for Sunday Mass, but man, I wish he would. Not every day, but maybe before big games.

PXG throws jab at Good Good and Callaway Golf with driver ad of its own amid controversy

One major golf brand has jumped right into the controversy and drama created by another, as the advertising world in the golf space has never been under a bigger microscope.

Parsons Xtreme Golf, more widely known as PXG, is still very much a young brand in the grand scheme of things, having only been established in 2014, but that didn't stop it from diving into the mess brought forth by Good Good and Callaway.

PXG shared an ad on its social channels featuring a number of its different LPGA Tour players hitting and promoting the brand's newest driver. The caption, "our drivers play nice with everyone," accompanied by the hashtag #SheGolfs," almost certainly had a very specific meaning behind it.

GOOD GOOD ISSUES CONTRADICTORY APOLOGY FOR SINCE-DELETED GOLF AD SHOWING A MAN SHOVING A WOMAN TO THE GROUND

PXG's video was shared a few days after the advertisement that Good Good and Callaway shared, quickly deleted, and has since apologized multiple times for, after it showed a man shoving a woman to the ground.

Good Good, the YouTube and apparel giant, and Callaway, one of the most well-known brands in golf, collaborated on a new driver. As part of its promotion for the new club, it teamed up for an advertisement, although the two wish they had gone in a different creative direction.

The video showed Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark shoving member Alexis Miestowski to the turf after she was seen reaching for a driver in a golf bag. Clark sprints at her, shoves her to the ground with his forearms, and stands over her before saying, "Do not touch my new driver."

While PXG's video does not directly mention either of the other two brands or the ad, the caption, coupled with it being shared just a few days after the Good Good and Callaway ad, makes it hard to believe it is a coincidence.

"We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand,"Good Good's first statement about the ad explained. "We have since taken that content down. And sincerely apologize. Good Good has always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive to all, and we will continue to ensure that is our mission moving forward."

On August 25, Callaway issued a statement apologizing for the advertisement and admitting that it had approved the ad before it was shared online. Two days later, Callaway announced it was cutting ties with Good Good and donating $1 million to causes and programs that help prevent violence against women.

Following initial statements, Front Office Sports reported on Wednesday that Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, and the PGA Tour Superstore had pulled Good Good's merchandise from their shelves.

The PGA Tour is set to host the Good Good Championship at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa’s Fazio Canyons Course in Austin, Texas, in November 2026. It has been rumored that the Tour could be looking to cut ties with Good Good and seek a new sponsor for the event.

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America, a move that came amid a trade war with Canada.

"The Lake of America was something I've been thinking about for a long time, actually. As you know, we took something called the Gulf of Mexico — we changed it — and now it's very routinely the Gulf of America," Trump said in the Oval Office.

The president said he has directed Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and the department to update the Geographic Names Information System to reflect the name change.

The order called Lake Ontario a "tremendous asset" to the United States.

"The United States is the greatest protector of the Great Lakes, including the body of water currently known as Lake Ontario," the order states. "Without the security and investment provided by the United States, this freshwater system would not be open for shipping, recreation, and responsible use to the same extent as it is today."

The order said the U.S. Coast Guard supplies nine of the 11 ice-breaking vessels on the Great Lakes, securing commercial shipping lanes free of charge. The U.S. has also invested nearly $4 billion in protecting the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem in the last decade, while Canada "has invested far less in similar initiatives over the same period."

The move to rename the lake, which sits on the U.S.-Canada border, came amid a breakdown in trade between both nations, with Trump accusing Ottawa of unfair trade practices.

Trump floated renaming Lake Ontario, one of the Great Lakes, hours before Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's announcement of reciprocal tariffs on U.S. imports.

The U.S. imposed new 50% tariffs on Canadian goods such as wine, furniture and dairy products, while Carney said U.S. trade demands proved Washington wanted to "destroy our major industries," including autos, steel and aluminum, FOX Business previously reported.

"Canada has been ripping us off for a long time on trade," Trump said Thursday. "Very sadly, even the military, you know, we defend Canada for nothing. We don't get anything. They don't pay us to defend Canada."

He said that Canada wants to "be treated like a state" and "we just can't do that anymore." Trump angered Canadian officials last year when he advocated for Canada to become the 51st U.S. state.

Trump even jokingly floated renaming the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

"So, if you think about it, we have a gulf and we have a lake," he said. "Now, all we need is an ocean. So maybe we'll have to change the name of the Atlantic and or the Pacific. Maybe we'll change them both."

Trump previously used geographic names to make political statements, ordering the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

EXCLUSIVE — The House Committee on Education and the Workforce is demanding Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Superintendent and CEO Macquline King respond to concerns that schools are hiding information regarding students' gender transitions from parents.

In a letter obtained by Fox News Digital, Committee Chair Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Mich., reached out to King in response to her testimony at a June 10 hearing titled, "Breaking Trust: Attacks on Parental Rights, Inappropriate Content, and Legal Abuses in America’s Schools."

"When asked by Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., at the June 10 hearing about CPS’ 'socially transitioning children without parental knowledge or consent,' [King] responded, '[w]e do not hide information from parents.' However, several of CPS’s policies and resources suggest otherwise," Walberg wrote.

TRUMP ADMIN TARGETS WOKE SCHOOLS ACCUSED OF HIDING STUDENTS' GENDER TRANSITIONS FROM PARENTS

Walberg cited CPS' interim guidelines along with a "Gender Diversity Toolkit" that prohibit staff members from disclosing a student's "transgender status or gender-nonconforming presentation" without the student's permission and clarified that parental consent is not required.

The Michigan congressman expressed concerns that the vague language of the guidelines could prevent faculty from communicating with parents about students' gender identity, which could go against the Supreme Court's ruling in Mirabelli v. Bonta earlier this year.

"When Rep. Bob Onder, R-Mo., asked you at the June 10 hearing whether CPS had made any changes in its policies to align with the Supreme Court’s decision in Mirabelli, you deflected and failed to give a clear, direct answer. You stated that you 'hope[d]' that 'the parent, the families, the student … and the school would all be in communication,'" Walberg wrote.

"Notably, while you stated that CPS communicates with parents in compliance with Illinois state law, you failed to specify whether CPS complies with federal law or Mirabelli," he continued. "CPS’s policies appear to undermine the authority of parents and guardians, which the Supreme Court has stated 'have primary authority with respect to the upbringing and education of children.’"

The Supreme Court ruled in Mirabelli v. Bonta that parents were likely to succeed in their claims that a California law prohibiting schools from disclosing to parents their child’s "gender identity" violated their free exercise rights under the First Amendment and their substantive due process rights under the 14th Amendment, though the case still remains in litigation at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Meanwhile, Walberg and the committee are requesting all guidance documents, written complaints and professional development training related to gender and sexuality with a response no later than Sept. 11.

In a comment to Fox News Digital, Walberg added, "Parents deserve the right to know what goes on in their child’s classroom and have a say in decisions regarding their child. That is commonsense, and that right doesn’t go away at the schoolhouse door.

"Yet, far too often we have seen policies that allow schools to withhold important information from parents and make decisions about a child’s name, pronouns or gender identity without their knowledge.

"Our committee will always stand up for parents’ rights and defend their God-given role in their children’s lives and education."

Jon Ossoff condemns Hasan Piker's rhetoric as streamer declares mainstream media 'crisis of credibility'

Hasan Piker is facing yet another Democratic lawmaker critic amid the fallout from comments he made on a stream last week, this time from Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga.

Ossoff, who is Jewish, was recently asked about Piker's comments that suggested American Jews could bring violence on themselves for being too associated with support of Israel. The senator, through a spokesperson, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he "unreservedly rejects reckless and dangerous rhetoric suggesting that policy advocacy invites violence against the Jewish community or any community."

"American Jews and all Americans must have the freedom and security to speak out and petition their government without fear of reprisal," he added.

In response to Ossoff's condemnation, Piker declared a media "credibility crisis" and appeared to suggest that the Georgia lawmaker was part of a "bought & sold political class." Piker had previously praised Ossoff as a potential dark horse 2028 White House candidate.

"i think jon ossoff's best strengths came from his lack of interest in attacking his left flank & focusing on trump's corruption & scandals instead," Piker wrote on X. "i said he was a dark horse because he's been smart enough to back restrictions on weapons transfers to israel at times regardless of his incredibly conservative voting track record otherwise."

Piker then shifted his focus to the wave of condemnations against him that started following his controversial remarks.

"this crisis of credibility for msm has been beneficial for me personally as an independent media personality, but i still naively believe that these institutions are worth preserving and defending at a time when we have no consensus reality," Piker added.

In a separate post, Piker criticized what he seemed to characterize as widespread calls for political figures to condemn him.

"in 3 years we went from 'do you condemn hamas' to 'do you condemn hasan' and israel is still a belligerent entity that is causing destruction, goading trump into war with iran & prominent dems are focusing on a critic of trump and israel instead of trump and israel itself. fools," Piker wrote.

EL-SAYED DISTANCES HIMSELF FROM HASAN PIKER AFTER DISTURBING REMARKS ABOUT JEWISH AMERICANS

Several Democratic lawmakers have issued statements against Piker this week, including Cory Booker, D-N.J.; Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich.; and Jacky Rosen, D-Nev.; House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.; and Reps. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J.; Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y.; Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla.; Brad Schneider, D-Ill.; Greg Stanton, D-Ariz.; and Hillary Scholten, D-Mich.

The condemnations came after Piker told his viewers during a recent stream, "If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone is going to come around and take action, not against the state of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews."

Rosen condemned the remarks as a "new low" for Piker, who she said had been "trafficking in antisemitic tropes for a while." She went on to say that by "blaming Jewish Americans for the violence and hate they're facing," Piker provided "an excuse to those perpetuating these anti-Jewish hate crimes."

Jeffries said the claim that American Jews were "inviting violence against themselves is dangerous and antisemitic."

"There is zero justification for threats against the safety of our Jewish brothers and sisters at a moment of rising hate," the House minority leader added. "We will fight the cancer of antisemitism with the fierce urgency of now."

Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who appeared alongside Piker during his campaign, appeared to distance himself from the streamer as the controversy unfolded, saying that "nobody speaks for this campaign besides me and my campaign spokespeople."

"I believe all Americans deserve the right to advocate for what they believe without fear of violence. This is particularly true for communities that have been intimidated for their beliefs in the past," El-Sayed wrote on X.

Piker seemed to double down on his comments and went so far as to accuse the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) of being behind the backlash, which he said he welcomed with open arms.

AEW and ROH star Lee Moriarty looking forward to marquee matches at All In and 'being inspired by it'

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will hold its biggest event of the year, All In, on Sunday in London with several marquee matchups on the card for the pro wrestling fans who are making the trek to Wembley Stadium and for those who will tune in at home.

Lee Moriarty, who is not among those on the All In card, talked to OutKick in a recent interview about which matches he was looking forward to watching the most. He pointed to the AEW World Championship fight between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay and the AEW Women’s World Championship battle between Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Moné.

"I would definitely say the two big marquee matches are AEW men's and AEW women's championship matches," Moriarty said. "Both Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay just because of the history they've had through the years. And one of my all-time favorite matches I've ever watched was at Forbidden Door Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. I think it was in Canada at that time. And then we have Mercedes Moné against Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women's World Championship. And their history going back to the New Japan Strong Championship, the TBS Championship.

"So, there's just so much history between both of these competitors in each match and I think those are going to be really special and I'm looking forward to watching that and being inspired by it."

Moriarty was only involved in an All In match once. It came last year when he participated in an eight-man tag team match with his Shane Taylor Promotions stablemates against Dustin Rhodes, Marshall Von Erich, Ross Von Erich and Sammy Guevara, known as the Sons of Texas. The Sons of Texas ended up winning the match.

OutKick asked Moriarty what he needed to do to get back into All In.

"I think it's just going to take work like I've been doing," he said. "Continue to put in the work. A lot of professional wrestling is timing and preparation. I'm prepared. It's just the timing thing and I'm going to get there. I do believe that. I'm going to continue to prove I am one of the best professional wrestlers when it comes to technical wrestling in the world. And right now, I'm the best pure wrestler on the planet."

Trump administration designates three far-left groups as violent terrorist networks under new sanctions

The Treasury Department announced sanctions against three far-left international networks as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on politically motivated violence.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control took action against Autistici Inventati, an Italy-based nonprofit; Palestine Action, a U.K.-based organization which it designated a terrorist group; and Masar Badil, a Spain-based group that allegedly operates as a front for the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, already sanctioned by the U.S.

"Far-left extremists, their fronts and their enablers should be on notice: We will bring the full weight of our economic tools to bear," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement. "Political terrorism has no place in our society, and we will continue to cut the financial lifelines of these groups until they are eliminated."

Over the past year, Treasury Department officials have leveraged the powerful Office of Foreign Assets Control to investigate far-left nonprofits and activists, including Marxist influencer Hasan Piker and CodePink co-founders Medea Benjamin and Jodie Evans, for allegedly violating U.S. sanctions against Cuba. Piker, Benjamin and Evans have denied any wrongdoing, and they haven’t been charged with any crimes.

The latest move comes amid wider coordinated interagency efforts against far-left groups. Yesterday, the State Department issued a report saying that Autistici Inventati provided services to overseas terrorist groups and violent far-left agitators, causing chaos in American cities, according to a memo obtained by Fox News Digital.

The memo also revealed Portland-based Rose City Antifa, known for participating in riots and property destruction, is one of the U.S. groups that relied on Autistici Inventati tools and services.

Earlier this summer, Spanish authorities arrested wealthy far-left financier Fergie Cox, the estranged heir of the Cox cable TV empire, for extradition to the U.S. as part of a Justice Department investigation into his alleged funding of organizations, including Palestine Action. Cox has denied any wrongdoing and is fighting extradition.

The Treasury Department also sanctioned two officials of Masar Badil.

The sanctions block the groups’ access to any property or property interests located in the U.S. or controlled by U.S. citizens.

The sanctions also freeze any bank accounts these organizations might have in the U.S. and prevent American citizens from conducting financial transactions with the groups.

FBI SNARES AN AMERICAN HEIR INDICTED FOR ALLEGEDLY BANKROLLING ANTI-COP, PRO-HAMAS COMMUNIST REVOLUTION

Last year, the U.K. government sanctioned Palestine Action, criminalizing any U.K. involvement or support for the group.

Founded in 2020, Palestine Action is known for aggressive campaigns against defense companies it believes is supporting Israel. Palestine Action has reportedly broken into facilities, occupied factories and destroyed equipment. U.K. government officials said the group caused more than $1.3 million in damages to an Elbit Systems facility.

Huda Ammori, Palestine Action co-founder, denounced the sanctions in a message on the X social media platform.

"As a Palestinian and Iraqi, the fact the country which destroyed both my homelands is calling me a terrorist, is beyond hypocritical," she said. "Trump is the antithesis to everything Palestine Action stands for."

As for Masar Badil, the Treasury Department said the organization serves as a front for the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which the U.S. and Canada sanctioned in 2024 after Treasury said it serves as an international fundraiser for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine was designated a foreign terrorist organization after decades of international terrorist attacks, including airline hijackings in the 1960s and 1970s that killed more than 20 Americans.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine received its foreign terrorist organization designation alongside Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in 1997.

"Organizations like Samidoun masquerade as charitable actors that claim to provide humanitarian support to those in need, yet in reality divert funds for much-needed assistance to support terrorist groups," Bradley Smith, then-Treasury acting under secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, said in an October 2024 statement. "The United States, together with Canada and our like-minded partners, will continue to disrupt those who seek to finance the PFLP, Hamas and other terrorist organizations."

Samidoun’s internal coordinator, Charlotte Kates, rushed to X to defend Palestine Action and Masar Badil shortly after Treasury announced the sanctions.

"The U.S.' latest sanctions and designations are targeting Palestine Action and the @MasarBadil, attempting once again to bring the upsurge for Palestine to an end through criminalization and state terror," Kates posted. "The fact is: designations can't stop a resistance or a revolution."

Masar Badil executive committee member Khaled Barakat told Fox News Digital in a statement that U.S. sanctions are part of Washington’s broader campaign against Palestinians, accusing the U.S. of working with Israel to suppress pro-Palestinian activism and criminalize those who organize or speak out in support of the Palestinian cause.

"The Trump administration is the primary perpetrator of terror in the world, along with its closest friend and co-conspirator, Benjamin Netanyahu and the Zionist regime," Barakat said. "Rest assured, these sanctions will not quiet the voice of the Palestinian people, and our work and our movement will not be suppressed by state terror. The world knows it to be true: no sanctions will succeed in shoring up a declining empire. Palestine will be free, from the river to the sea."

In a new report, "Building a Transnational Movement Around Armed Resistance Advocacy," published Wednesday by researchers at George Washington University's Program on Extremism, the authors said Masar Badil was directly involved in unrest on some campuses following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel, and has repeatedly made efforts to physically mobilize to protest Israel and U.S. involvement.

In addition to Palestine Action and Masar Badil, the Treasury Department sanctioned Autistici Inventati, saying the group provides services such as website hosting on foreign servers, encrypted email accounts and digital infrastructure to violent left-wing extremist groups, including sanctioned terrorist organizations such as the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which was also designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization in 1997.

Lara Burns, a former FBI special agent who is now the head of terrorism research at George Washington University’s Program on Extremism, detailed why the organizations sanctioned by the Treasury Department pose a dangerous threat.

"These networks are driving concepts that terror activities — that murder — are acts of legitimate resistance that are somehow justified, and that is a scary concept," Burns told Fox News Digital. "The broader this message is and the farther this message reaches, the more normalized it becomes. And so, as these groups have been allowed to operate both here in the United States and abroad, the message has become louder."

Organizations will operate under the cover of charity or activism to mask their true and potentially violent intentions, Burns said.

She noted that if nonprofit organizations "are driving pro-terror agendas under that cover, then the federal government needs to take action against them." The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Burns said, has stealthily shifted from full-blown terrorist attacks to influence operations under the guise of activism, prisoner campaigns and transnational support networks.

Conservatives piled on Democratic Rep. Debbie Dingell after she argued Republicans are trying to make Michigan’s Senate race about socialist streamer Hasan Piker, with critics saying her frustration only highlighted a political vulnerability for Democrats.

"Debbie Dingell CRASHES OUT over terrorist-sympathizer Hasan Piker who has called to kill Republicans,’" wrote the Republican National Committee’s research account.

Critics took aim at Dingell for campaigning with Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed after she told reporters she was done answering questions about Piker, whose past inflammatory remarks have drawn renewed scrutiny and pressure on Democrats to respond.

DEMOCRATS CONDEMNING HASAN PIKER AS BACKLASH SPREADS THROUGH PARTY

"YIKES: Democrats are getting tired of defending Abdul El-Sayed for his antisemitic campaign surrogate Hasan Piker Rep. Debbie Dingell: 'I am DONE. So don't any reporter ask me again about Hasan Piker.' El-Sayed has yet to disavow Piker," wrote Senate Republicans on X.

"Hint: she can stop these Qs by disassociating herself with Piker & stopping campaigning with him," wrote Crime Prevention Research Center president John R. Lott Jr.

"Debbie Dingell does not want anyone talking about Hasan Piker because it is bad for Democrats ahead of the midterms… Watch how fast they all forget that Hasan Piker exists. I want to hammer this. If Dems like Dingell continue to slam Piker… he will hit back," said conservative commentator Shawn Farash.

Dingell took the stage at an Ann Arbor town hall with Rep. Jamie Raskin to campaign for El-Sayed on Wednesday, arguing Piker is not central to the race in Michigan.

"I am done, so don’t any reporter ask me again about Hasan Piker," Dingell said. "It’s not what November is about. Republicans are trying to make it – they’re trying to divide us, and we got to stop letting them try to divide us," said Dingell.

PIKER DEMANDS DEMOCRATS DEFEND HIM FROM ATTACKS, CLAIMS HE’S NO ‘TOXIC RADICAL FORCE'

"I don’t agree with Hasan Piker on a lot of stuff, and I really don’t agree with him on some of the woman things he said. And I’m still trying to figure out, is it the reason he exercises and looks buff is why he has so many followers," she added.

Dingell’s office also told Fox News Digital that she would not answer further questions about Piker.

"Congresswoman Dingell made clear this afternoon she will not answer any more questions about him. She doesn’t agree with him on many things, but this election isn’t about him. It’s about healthcare, affordability, hunger and other issues that impact working men and women," Dingell spokesperson Matt Krack told Fox News Digital Wednesday.

Conservatives and other social media commenters continued to seize on Dingell’s remarks, arguing that her frustration only underscored the political vulnerability surrounding Piker’s association with El-Sayed.

"No, your party can't stand up and say anything because they are so in shambles that they need a radical," wrote popular account Defiant L's.

"Debbie just told everyone what the Dems weak point is. Be a shame if this got exploited," wrote one user on X.

"Good example of the contrast in messaging between establishment Democrats who see their interest as winning the race and having a Senate majority, and the ones who see their interest as losing the race in order to advance their own factional agenda," pointed out one user.

"Call me crazy, but I think everyone should bring up the Democrat surrogate who thinks America deserved 9/11…," wrote Heritage Foundation media fellow Tim Young.

"’Republicans are trying to divide us by pointing out that we are campaigning with a person who said America Deserved 9/11! Republicans are monsters! Blarrrgggg!!!’ Newsflash, you don't get to play victim when you and your party openly campaign with extremists who hate America," said Michigan Forward Network director of Advocacy Mike Banerian.

EL-SAYED PALS AROUND WITH FAR-LEFT STREAMER HASAN PIKER THE DAY BEFORE CRUCIAL MICHIGAN SENATE ELECTION

Socialist streamer Hasan Piker’s continued association with El-Sayed has come under fire from Republicans and other critics, particularly as Piker faces renewed scrutiny over inflammatory remarks from his past.

Piker has faced widespread criticism for saying that "America deserved 9/11" and, in another resurfaced remark, calling to let the streets soak in "red capitalist blood."

El-Sayed was pressed on Piker's remark during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" earlier this month.

"It was a dumb statement," El-Sayed said, while making clear that he did not believe America deserved the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, but rejected the idea that Piker should be cast aside over it.

In a statement earlier this month, El-Sayed called antisemitism "a scourge," condemned rhetoric that puts Jewish Americans at risk and said "nobody speaks for this campaign besides me and my campaign spokespeople."

This week we're going to restore hope in romance. We're going to restore hope in a professional athlete finding an influencer with an enormous following to share, if only for a short time, part of his life with.

After internet sleuths had already connected the dots, golfer Bryson DeChambeau hard launched his new relationship with the internet's favorite hockey goalie, Mikayla Demaiter.

It was a situation that I and the OutKick Culture Department were monitoring. We saw the selfies from what was alleged to have been DeChambeau's closet and home gym.

Man wins a lawsuit but receives prison time for using a robot vacuum to record his wife's affair

An affair has finally made its way through the courts in Taiwan and landed the husband who was cheated on a prison sentence.

The recent court ruling, SCMP reports, found that he had invaded his wife's privacy by gathering evidence of her affair with the use of a robot vacuum to record her in the act.

The couple had been married since 2021 and lived with the husband's parents. They had a home they would visit during the holidays. In late 2023, the man found a used toothbrush at their holiday home.

This raised some suspicions about who it belonged to, and he checked the surveillance footage from the parking garage. On it, he spotted a man who had previously driven his wife home.

A few months later, he accessed the home's robot vacuum cleaner through an app to talk with his wife using its audio feature. The vacuum's camera caught her in the act with another man.

He recorded the footage so he could have evidence for a lawsuit.

"The video showed his wife changing clothes, embracing her alleged lover, and moving around the house unclothed, while her partner was seen lying on the sofa," SCMP reported.

"Shortly thereafter, the husband used the footage as evidence to sue his wife and her lover for infringing on his marital rights, seeking NT$2 million (US$68,000) in damages."

The court sided in his favor and ordered the wife and her partner to pay him a fraction of what he was seeking in damages. The win was short-lived.

His wife took him to court for recording the private affair footage without her consent. His attempt to use his civil court victory as a defense were unsuccessful.

The court ruled that "marital obligations do not supersede an individual’s right to privacy." He was sentenced to five months in prison and fined for using his robot vacuum to record his wife's affair.

There were no winners here, except maybe someone thinking it's a good idea to record your significant other's affair on the robot vacuum. It's not. You could go to prison.

A much better approach is to bust in with a camera crew like they used to do on the show Cheaters. Remember that show? Whatever happened to that level of quality entertainment?

The lease is up for friends with benefits

The question here is, when the lease is up does the friends with benefits situation also have to end for a couple of roommates?

She, I'm assuming it's a she, but you never really know these days when it isn’t mentioned, wants the fun to continue. It's unclear if the roommate does, but it is clear that he wants to live somewhere else.

She's known him for about a year and is aware that "it’s probably a terrible idea," she writes to Boston.com.

That said, they have a lot of the same interests. She enjoys talking to him, and this might be the key to it all. They "were both lonely people looking for some kind of partner." That's what is called a solid foundation.

The roommate never wanted anything more than to be friends with benefits. She, on the other hand, did and let him know. Now that they're moving into different places, he wants to remain friends.

"I'm already grieving over our connection, even though he didn't really look for an apartment for us to mutually move in together," she continued. "He wanted a new start, I guess, and I didn't."

Now she's feeling guilty about asking him to continue being friends with benefits and fears she's making it worse for herself. This is someone she felt she had a connection with.

Her friends want her to move on, but she's not sure that she can. This is why the whole friends with benefits thing can be tricky. What happens when one can't quit the other?

If she was my friend I'd tell her to wear the T-shirt of his that she stole as much as she could. Take the locket of hair she clipped while he was sleeping, the one that she keeps in the ziplock bag under her pillow, with her and just start popping up everywhere he goes.

If it was meant to be, he'll realize how much he misses her. If it's not meant to be, he'll get freaked out and possibly seek a restraining order. I wouldn't take it that far if I was her, but I'd see how it went first.

Either she'll get the "happily ever after" she is looking for from her former roommate/friend with benefits or there will be an obvious ending. None of this "he doesn't want to live with me anymore, do you think he likes me as more than a friend?" silliness.

Using hall passes doesn't have to ruin your relationship

We've all heard the horror stories of hall passes being used and the relationship burning up into a smoldering pile of ash. Many assume that is the only outcome.

Well, I'm here to tell you that's not the case. There's at least one example below of it working out for a couple who is working on two decades of marriage. Thank you very much.

Here is that story mixed in with a few others from Reddit that try to rain on that parade and offer up their opinions on the matter:

She told me to go ahead. Little over a year later, I've got a few new friends. She only knows that I'll be gone and when I'll be back. Once a month I even have an overnight. Our marriage is better than before. That relieved a pressure valve that was breaking us apart. At least in my case, it was the best thing that could have happened .
The whole concept seems like a horrible idea. What do people hope to get out of that? It's demeaning to everyone involved and seems like it would only make you wonder if that's the only line that your partner would cross, even if it never happens. "I settled for you, since ____ was out of my league or unavailable, but if for some reason that should change, you'd understand, right?"

Ohio bakery workers recount surprise JD Vance encounter that took an unexpected turn

When Vice President JD Vance stopped in at his hometown donut shop last Friday, the last thing Cristaliz Portalatin expected was for him to invite her to his upcoming rally.

But before she knew it, Portalatin and two of her fellow Central Pastry Shop employees were piling into a car in Vance’s motorcade to watch him speak at the nearby steel mill in Middletown, Ohio.

"We knew he was going to come into Middletown, so we assumed he was going to stop by the shop," Portalatin, 28, told Fox News Digital in an interview Wednesday. "That morning, I was praying, and I was like, 'You know, it'd be nice for him to stop by, we can take a picture and talk to him.'"

Vance did indeed visit, first greeting the shop's owner, Vera Slamka, who made a joke about him "losing too much weight" since the last time they saw each other. The vice president laughed before ordering an "ugly," the shop's signature misshapen-glazed donut. He called them "the best donuts in the world."

After Vance took pictures with Slamka and the rest of the staff, Portalatin recalled making an offhand comment about wanting to see the vice president's speech.

"It was a comment that I made when he was talking to Vera. I just said, 'I would like to see the speech.' And he just said, 'Do you want to come?' That came from him," Portalatin said.

Portalatin, along with her coworkers Ursula Bush and Jennifer Coby, accepted the offer and got to ride in a car with one of Vance's staffers.

"We were just like laughing and were taking videos," Portalatin said. "It was very fun. We were just really enjoying. And I think the people that were there with us were also enjoying us and our reaction."

After an eight-minute ride, the starstruck trio were led into the Cleveland-Cliffs steel mill and were seated immediately left of the stage Vance spoke from.

His speech focused on the new $500 million federal grant for the facility, which Vance's grandfather worked at as a welder decades earlier. Cleveland-Cliffs will invest another $500 million.

The public-private investment is aimed at strengthening the domestic steel supply chain and is estimated to create 2,300 jobs, according to the Department of Energy.

Bush, 53, told Fox News Digital that it was "amazing" to watch Vance announce this revitalization of the steel plant because she too has had many family members who worked there, including her father, great-grandfather, great-grandmother and great-uncle.

Bush said Vance came across as "genuine" and "personable."

"I got that when I was talking to him. He didn't have to ask us to come with him. He didn't have to treat us as well as he treated us," she said.

Another thing about Vance that "spoke volumes" about his character was his attentiveness to his new baby, Alec Neel Vance, who was born on July 19.

"He told us a little story about how the baby slept for the first time and only woke up once that night," Bush said. "I have three kids that I took care of all by myself, and for him to know that the kid only woke up once, that to me meant a lot. That made him a real person to me."

The two women came away grateful for the experience, with both of them admitting they are still buzzing almost a week later.

"It truly was an honor to do something that not a lot of people get to do. I really think God allowed that to happen to us. So I'm still excited. I'll probably be excited for the next lifetime," Portalatin said.

Everyone loves tailgating. Nobody loves traffic.

So in 1962, a Knoxville sportscaster named George Mooney actually did something about it — he got in a ski boat, rode the Tennessee River to Neyland Stadium, tied off to a tree and walked into the game. Sixty-plus years later, "sailgating" is its own gameday subculture, with dedicated marinas, waitlists longer than season-ticket lines, and fans who'd rather anchor in a lake than fight for a parking spot.

You don't need a stadium sitting directly on the water to pull this off — plenty of these spots involve a walk from the dock — but these are the ones where the boat crowd is as much a part of Saturday (or Sunday) as the game itself.

Neyland Stadium — Tennessee Volunteers

This is where it all started, so it gets top billing. And as a Tennessee alumna myself, I’d admittedly a little biased.

The Vol Navy Boat Docks are a 12-15-minute walk from Neyland, and more than 200 boats show up there on a normal home Saturday. Tennessee even built a walkway just to handle the foot traffic coming off the water. The Vol Navy has its own logo and its own merch — flags, boat bags, blankets, floatable keychains, the works. It’s something every Tennessee fan should experience at least once.

Husky Stadium — Washington Huskies

If Neyland invented sailgating, Washington turned it into an art form. Up to 3,400 fans out of a 70,000-person crowd arrive by boat on Union Bay, everything from little skiffs to 94-foot yachts, all anchored up for a view of downtown Seattle, Mount Rainier and the Olympics.

Good luck actually getting a dock slip, though. There's a waitlist more than 100 boats deep, some fans have held the same spot for 20-plus years, and the athletic department flat-out says they don't take bribes — not that we asked. The good news is you don't need a dock at all. Drop anchor in the bay, and you're in the club.

Soldier Field — Chicago Bears

Burnham Harbor sits a five-minute walk from Soldier Field, and it's massive — 1,126 slips, room for anything from a 28-footer to a 100-plus-foot yacht (if you’ve got it like that), plus a gas dock. Bears fans cruise across Lake Michigan and tie up before walking into the oldest standing stadium in the NFL, which opened in 1924 and has clearly seen a few boats come and go.

With rumors circulating of the Bears’ possible move to Indiana, enjoy this one while you can.

Acrisure Stadium — Pittsburgh Steelers / Pitt Panthers

Pittsburgh's stadium sits right where the Allegheny and Ohio rivers meet, so boaters just line up along the North Shore wall and turn it into a floating party before kickoff. If you want an actual slip, Washington's Landing Marina is about 2 miles up the Allegheny and runs shuttles straight to the game. And if you don't own a boat but still want in on the sailgating, the Gateway Clipper out of Station Square will get you there.

M&T Bank Stadium — Baltimore Ravens

You're less than a mile from Baltimore's Inner Harbor here, which makes renting a transient slip an easy call on a Sunday. Inner Harbor Marina has 135 slips that can handle boats up to 300 feet (!!!), and you're parked in the middle of an entertainment district — i.e., lots of bars and restaurants — so there's plenty to do if kickoff isn't for a few hours.

Huntington Bank Field — Cleveland Browns

Oasis Marina, on Lake Erie, is an eight-minute walk from the stadium and takes boats from 30 to 50 feet, booked by the hour or overnight (in case you have a few too many beers at the game).

Coming from farther out on the lake? There's a charter and shuttle option from the Lorain Port Authority.

McLane Stadium — Baylor Bears

McLane sits right on the Brazos River, with the stadium's own lagoon letting boats dock and walk straight in. No marina hike required. The river also feeds Baylor Basin, where fans tie off and keep the party going after the final whistle. Night games bring out the gold-and-green boat lights. It’s a sight to behold.

EverBank Stadium — Florida-Georgia Game (Jacksonville)

Neither school actually plays home games here, but once a year the St. Johns River turns into one of the biggest sailgating scenes in the country for the Florida-Georgia game. Hundreds of boats show up, plenty of fans turn it into a full Friday-through-Sunday river weekend, and you'll see orange-and-blue boat parades running up and down the water.

Memorial Stadium — Clemson Tigers

This one's the underdog story on the list. There's no stadium dock or marina — boats beach themselves along the Clemson Dikes on Lake Hartwell, and fans walk over the embankment straight into Death Valley. It's scrappier than Husky Harbor or the Vol Navy, no question, but Clemson Marina, directly across the lake, has leaned all the way in, branding the experience "boatgating" and building a dockside grill to match.

Parton had quietly battled cancer in the months before her death on Aug. 25. The "Islands in the Stream" singer had informed fans she was struggling with her health, but never disclosed details. As she privately faced the devastating diagnosis, she was already thinking about how her fight could help others.

Stella Parton, Dolly's sister, revealed the country music icon had offered to let doctors test experimental drugs on her if she ran out of treatment options, hoping what they learned could someday save someone else.

"My sister was one of the most generous, thoughtful and kind people I’ve ever known," Stella wrote on Facebook. Stella said her sister’s final wishes embodied the kindness she hoped fans would carry forward.

Among Stella’s most cherished memories were the simple moments she and Dolly shared long before the rest of the world woke up.

"Every Tuesday about this time, before the sun came up and the world was still asleep, she and I for many years had our coffee together over the phone," Stella recalled. "Being little farm girls we’ve continued to be early risers. As she liked to say; 'shoot Tedda we get more work done before the sun comes up than most folks do all day long!'"

"We would catch up on gossip, as sisters do, and drink coffee and make plans as it has always been our way," she added.

The "I Will Always Love You" singer's death was announced Tuesday by her nephew. The family later confirmed to Fox News Digital that Parton had died after a brief cancer battle.

Parton’s family will hold a small, private service for the country music icon, honoring her wish to be remembered by her immediate loved ones.

"Dolly called me and said she wants to rest in a beautiful bed of plush cotton because, after a life of wearing heavy rhinestones, she finally deserves to be comfortable and have some rest."

DHS fires 3 more FEMA workers after IG report finds crew skipped homes with pro-Trump signs

The Department of Homeland Security fired three more FEMA workers on Thursday after an inspector general report found that FEMA crews skipped servicing homes with pro-Trump signs following Hurricane Milton.

DHS says the three firings were in addition to other firings carried out after the IG report released last week. An investigation by FEMA's Office of Professional Responsibility found that the three employees had "failed to meet FEMA's standards of conduct."

"Our job is to protect the American people, regardless of their political beliefs. This is especially important when it comes to disaster relief, where every second counts and lives are on the line," said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. "We’ve made sure that everyone responsible for this incident has been punished, and we’ll make sure that nothing like this ever happens again."

The firings come after FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington was fired for instructing personnel to avoid homes with Trump signage in Lake Placid, Florida, in 2024.

Washington maintains she did nothing wrong, arguing in statements to the Washington Post that she was looking to protect workers in a highly politicized environment.

DOJ announces 81 alleged gang members indicted after Puerto Rico drug trafficking takedown

Attorney General Todd Blanche announced Thursday the indictments of 81 alleged members of Los Baja Deo, or LBD, a Puerto Rican-based drug trafficking organization.

On Wednesday, the FBI and the Puerto Rico Police Department arrested 70 alleged LBD members on numerous charges. LBD has been active for years throughout the western side of the U.S. territory, Blanche said.

The indictments charged the suspects with drug possession and distribution in connection to activities prosecutors said began in 2021. Blanche said 21 of the defendants were also charged with illegal firearms possession.

They allegedly distributed "mass quantities" of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and marijuana, which generated $49 million in proceeds, Blanche said.

Blanche said the defendants "maintained a steady supply of highly addictive and potentially lethal substances that endangered the community, fueled addiction and exposed entire public housing projects in Mayagüez and nearby neighborhoods to violence and chaos."

The takedown of the 70 alleged LBD members took place following a San Juan Homeland Security Task Force investigation, according to the attorney general.

Blanche called this "a great example of the success" Homeland Security has had in "combating violent crime and the illegal flow of narcotics."

"If there's additional co-conspirators or members of this organization that have not been charged, I promise you that this investigation doesn't stop because an indictment is returned," Blanche said. "We'll find out. And if I were them, I would probably not be sleeping well tonight."

Also announced at the press conference was an operation that took place Wednesday against Los Choneros and Los Lobos, Ecuador-based drug trafficking organizations.

There were 26 arrests, including of four leaders of the Los Lobos cartel, Blanche said. This comes after local police arrested Eduardo Gomez, another alleged leader of the gang, at his home in Quito on May 14.

Blanche said one metric ton of cocaine was seized from the two cartels, as well as around $1 million in U.S. currency.

Additionally, authorities said they recovered 35 rifles, 26 vehicles, over 40 cellphones and an airplane. Three clandestine airports and landing strips were also destroyed.

Los Choneros and Los Lobos have been U.S. designated terrorist groups since August of last year.

"President Trump called drug dealers terrorists, and that's because that's exactly what they are," Blanche said. "There are drug boats that are getting blown up because of trying to bring cocaine into our country."

Blanche also announced the extradition of Erick Randhiel Mosquea Polanco, a long-sought cocaine kingpin from the Dominican Republic.

He was transported from Colombia to San Juan to face charges in two separate cases. He also faces federal money laundering charges in New Jersey, Blanche said.

Democrats hand Trump one power they spent years fighting

After raging against a key tool in President Donald Trump’s economic arsenal, Senate Democrats quietly green-lit the authority before they left Washington, D.C.

Democrats have bashed Trump’s use of tariffs since they were first floated during his campaign in 2024, and have taken every chance to challenge and push back against duties imposed on other countries throughout his second term.

But nearly the entire Senate Democratic caucus voted in favor of giving Trump limited tariff authority in exchange for bone-crushing sanctions against Russia. Only nine Democrats, and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., ultimately voted against the package.

Now, Trump has ignited a trade war with Canada, introducing 50% tariffs against the country on roughly $20 billion worth of goods, which has reignited the debate on the campaign trail and as Democrats seek to flip the Senate and corral his authority.

Some warned that giving congressional approval would allow the administration to abuse the power.

"It gives Donald Trump massive new tariff authority that he can use to threaten our trading partners and raise prices on the American people," Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., said on the Senate floor. "I believe senators will come to deeply regret voting to give Donald Trump this tariff authority."

Though not directly connected to the authority granted in the sanctions package, which directly deals with countries buying oil from Russia, Trump’s move to enter into a fight with one of America’s top trade partners is what he warned of: giving the White House congressional leeway.

The tariff authority baked into the sanctions package would allow Trump to issue levies of up to 500% on Russian imports and tariffs of up to 100% on the top five countries buying Russian energy, like China and India.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., who, alongside the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, pushed the package for nearly two years, told Fox News Digital that if Trump strays outside the legal confines built into the package, the courts will block him as they did with his sweeping tariffs unveiled on "Liberation Day" last year.

"If Donald Trump wants to break this law, he will be restrained by the courts, just as when he broke the law on tariffs previously," Blumenthal said. "We can't do any more than be explicit in limiting his authority to the top five purchasers, and only those countries, by the terms, specific in the legislation."

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who went on to vote against the package, told reporters last month that Trump "has shown what he will do with broad tariff authority."

"Heck, he’s shown what he’ll do even if he doesn’t have authority," she said.

And Paul, who has been one of the lone Republicans to consistently oppose Trump's use of tariffs, introduced an amendment alongside Wyden to strip them from the broader package, warning that the duties were nothing more than an additional tax on the American people.

"Do not let sympathy for Ukraine blind you to the reality of tariffs," Paul said.

One Senate Democrat, Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., received guarantees from U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer that the tariffs baked into the sanctions package would just be limited to the top five energy trading partners with the Kremlin.

Intermittent fasting has grown in popularity as a weight-loss strategy, but it could also unlock new ways to manage chronic pain by altering how the gut communicates with the brain.

A study published in the journal Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, revealed that the timing of meals affects the gut-brain axis, which is a communication system linking the gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system.

Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that focuses on when meals are consumed, typically involving extended periods without food, according to health institutions.

Chronic pain, defined by the Cleveland Clinic as pain persisting for longer than three months, is often accompanied by cognitive difficulties and anxiety.

While traditional treatments target inflammation or pain-signaling nerves, the new research suggests that meal timing may also influence chronic pain by changing gut bacteria and inflammation throughout the body.

Scientists at Zhengzhou University in China examined animal models during fasting cycles. They found that intermittent fasting strengthens the intestinal lining, which prevents inflammatory compounds from leaking into the bloodstream and reaching nervous system tissue.

Analysis of the gut microbiome found that fasting increased levels of a bacterium called Alistipes finegoldii. When researchers administered the live bacteria to animals that were not fasting, they saw similar improvements in pain and cognitive function.

The researchers found that the bacterium produces compounds that the body can convert into hippuric acid, a chemical messenger linked to the observed benefits.

At the cellular level, hippuric acid acts on an inflammatory pathway called STING, short for Stimulator of Interferon Genes. When this pathway becomes overactive in the nervous system, it can fuel inflammation that worsens pain and interferes with brain function.

The study demonstrated that hippuric acid turns down STING activity, quieting inflammatory signaling in the central nervous system and resolving behavioral symptoms.

Despite the findings, the research carries a few limitations, the research team acknowledged.

First, observational and early-stage studies can identify a link between intermittent fasting and changes in gut-brain signaling, but they cannot prove that fasting directly causes those changes.

Also, individual responses to intermittent fasting vary based on each person's gut microbiome, underlying health conditions, daily nutrient intake and genetics.

It can also be challenging for some people to adhere to fasting protocols, as strict eating windows may not be safe or feasible for everyone.

They added that further trials will be necessary to establish specific dietary protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
