Sleeper teams from each Power 4 conference: Who will exceed expectations this college football season?

With college football beginning in earnest this Saturday, many fans are anxiously awaiting to see how the chips will fall in a wide open season in 2026.

Sure, on paper, there is a clear delineation between the teams who have everything to win a national championship and the rest of the field, but as they always say, "paper never played a football game."

With that in mind, I wanted to take a look at some of my favorite sleeper teams from each Power 4 conference.

PREDICTING EACH POWER 4 CONFERENCE CHAMPION AHEAD OF THE 2026 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON

I already discussed who I think is going to win each conference, but what about the teams no one sees coming that could upset the established order.

These aren't necessarily teams that I would put money on to win their respective conferences, but they are certainly could if things break the right way.

Let's take a look at some power conference teams who are flying under the radar this season.

ACC - Virginia Tech Hokies

I wrote an entire article about how shocked I was to see the Hokies not in the preseason top-25, and I was even more shocked to see they were projected to finish 8th in the ACC.

I understand it hasn't exactly been a bed of roses for Virginia Tech since legendary coach Frank Beamer retired, but the Hokies — at least to my eye — have everything they need to finish in the upper echelon of the ACC this season.

For starters, landing head coach James Franklin was an absolute coup.

I know I haven't been the most vocal defender of Franklin, but I still think he's a hell of a coach who will benefit from a change of scenery and a slightly less competitive conference.

The Hokies also rank top-five in the country in returning production and will feature Franklin's handpicked signal caller Ethan Grunkemeyer under center.

Grunkemeyer was forced into action after Penn State starter Drew Allar was lost for the season midway through 2025, and that experience will be invaluable for Virginia Tech this season.

A soft start to their schedule could provide the perfect "ramp up" into the meat of their slate in late October, and I wouldn't be shocked at all to see the Hokies push teams like SMU and Louisville for that silver medal spot in the ACC this year.

Big 12 - Houston Cougars

Everyone knows about Texas Tech and the stockpile of talent they have out in Lubbock, but I'm keeping my eye on another team on the opposite end of the Lone Star State to make some noise in the Big 12.

I'm surprised I haven't heard more about the Cougars during the preseason hype sessions, considering they won 10 games and finished in the top-25 last season, but perhaps this is right where they want to be.

Houston has all the ingredients to challenge the Red Raiders for the conference crown, including a great coach in Willie Fritz, an ascending defense, and one of the most experienced rosters in the Big 12 heading into 2026.

A massive early-season showdown looms between the Cougars and the Red Raiders in September, and if Houston is able to keep that game close or even win it, it could be the statement they need to let everyone know they are for real.

Other than the aforementioned date with Texas Tech, Houston avoids many of the other heavy hitters in the Big 12, including BYU and both Arizona schools, so another 10-win season could be in the books in H-Town.

Big Ten - Washington Huskies

I think the world of Washington head coach Jedd Fisch, and even wanted him to replace Billy Napier at Florida before Jon Sumrall was hired, so it's no surprise I believe he and the Huskies could achieve big things this year.

Looking at Fisch's trajectory, both at Arizona and now at Washington, will give fans a glimpse into what they could expect from the Huskies in 2026.

THREE TEAMS RANKED OUTSIDE THE TOP-12 OF THE COACHES POLL WHO WILL MAKE THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF

The Wildcats went from one win to five wins to 10 wins in three seasons under Fisch, and the current Washington head coach had win totals of six and nine in his first two seasons in Seattle, respectively.

With dynamic quarterback Demond Williams Jr. returning as well as a roster that ranks in the top-15 nationally in returning production, Fisch has all the pieces in place to make a legitimate run at a Big Ten title or, at the very least, put together a remarkable season in the Pacific Northwest.

Washington avoids Michigan and Ohio State this year and will play Penn State and Indiana at home.

A forgivable schedule could help the Huskies outperform their preseason expectations and have a lot of critics eating crow by season's end.

SEC - Mississippi State Bulldogs

As far as SEC sleepers go, I've seen plenty of love for programs like South Carolina, Auburn, and even Kentucky, but for my money, I believe the Mississippi State Bulldogs will shock plenty of fans and media pundits alike in 2026.

Jeff Lebby enters his third season as the head coach in Starkville, and many will view his 2025 season as a failure upon first glance.

The losing record will cause many to believe the rebuild is behind schedule, but a closer look shows that the Bulldogs were a few bad bounces and missteps away from an eight-win season.

Mississippi State took both Texas and Tennessee — two top-25 teams — to overtime, and were a terrible interception in field goal range away from beating Florida in The Swamp.

The Bulldogs are a sneaky talented team, shockingly ranking in the top-20 of the 247Sports Team Talent Composite, as Lebby has done a remarkable job upgrading the personnel at Mississippi State.

Sophomore quarterback Kamario Taylor was a highly-touted player coming out of high school and will unlock Lebby's offense with his combination of plus athleticism and uncanny arm talent.

I'm not picking the Bulldogs to win the SEC outright, but don't be surprised if the Cowbell Clangers are spoiling a ton of talented teams' chance at winning the league this season.

'Veronica Mars' star Jason Dohring traded Hollywood for farming

"Veronica Mars" star Jason Dohring has stepped away from acting to focus on a new passion.

During a recent appearance on the "Don't Do Nothing" podcast, the 44-year-old actor shared that he developed an interest in gardening around four years ago and told his agents, "I'm just going to go farm for a minute."

"I just got an interest in it and I've kind of the last three years I built like, I'm on my third farm now and we're just making great food for people cause I really realized that people are getting sick from the food that they're eating," he said.

He first began planting in Los Angeles, before developing a 14-acre farm in West Virginia, where they planted 4,000 trees, including apples, cherries, pears, peaches and nectarines, noting he probably planted "3,500 of them myself."

The actor now lives on an 11-acre farm in Florida with his wife, Lauren Kutner, and their four kids, noting he moved there because of the weather. He said that when farming in California, they weren't allowed to drill a well and would run out of water.

"L.A. is crazy. [You can go] eight, nine months with no rain. You know what I mean?" he said. "That's when I when we moved to Florida I was like we get infinite rain. We have infinite manure. Like you know you could farm for free."

Dohring is proud of his Florida farm and the regenerative farming method he uses, which involves growing the crops without chemicals. Through this method, he says that on his farm, "stuff is starting to get much better."

"There was this old guy and he's like, ‘Are you the owner?’" he said about a recent experience on his farm. "And he's like, ‘I've been praying to God that the gate was open so I could come in here and see this cause I've been in agriculture since I was 12. I've never seen anything like this before.’"

Dohring first rose to fame playing Logan Echolls on "Veronica Mars" opposite Kristen Bell, for three seasons, from 2004 to 2007.

He starred in several other projects, including "Moonlight" and "The Originals," before returning to film the "Veronica Mars" feature movie in 2014 and the one-season revival in 2019. His last acting gig was four episodes of "SEAL Team" in 2021.

While he has stepped away from acting for now, he admits, "I'll probably jump back into it at some point," adding he has already done a short film for a friend.

"I love art, and when I get around art, even talking about this is exciting to me," he said. "I think there's something in everybody that is aesthetic, meaning beautiful or wants to create."

The actor married Kutner in 2004, shortly before "Veronica Mars" premiered. The two first met and became friends while in high school, with Dohring saying their friendship is the foundation of their marriage.

Since getting married, the couple have welcomed four children: son Owen, and daughters Lily, Ainsley Mae and Isla Avery.

"My wife and I were married 20 years ago today," he wrote on Instagram in July 2024. "We have had an amazing life together, including raising four incredible children. I consider her my best friend."

LGBTQ group reveals which Dem nominee is sponsoring Halloween event featuring drag shows

As the Trump administration’s efforts have choked off federal funding for LGBTQ groups, Keisha Lance Bottoms, former mayor of Atlanta and Georgia's Democratic gubernatorial nominee, is sponsoring an upcoming Halloween event open to children that will include drag shows.

"From 5-8, the little monsters roam free trick-or-treating through spooky trails and glowing Halloween worlds, and when night falls — the hallo queen show explodes with music, costumes and pure Halloween spectacle," ColGay Pride, an LGBTQ+ group based in Columbus, Georgia, said in a video.

Notably, the group’s programming states that the "adults-only" portion of the night, which includes the drag shows, will begin after 9 p.m.

Even so, Lance Bottoms’ support of the Halloween event, which includes a haunted walk, s’mores, an adult-and-kids costume contest — all centered around gender expression — adds to her record of supporting LGBTQ-related content around children.

POWERFUL LGBTQ+ GROUP'S ENDORSEMENTS COULD TANK VULNERABLE DEMS OVER RADICAL YOUTH TRANS AGENDA

ColGay Pride describes its goal as "promoting diversity, inclusion and equality for the LGBTQ community in Columbus and the surrounding areas and create a supportive and affirming environment through our programs and events."

The group, which is throwing its final Halloween celebration after 13 years, said that Trump’s federal funding cuts had made it dependent on individual contributions.

"We are closing our doors next year," the group wrote.

"It has become far too difficult to raise money when our financial aid was cut off completely under Trump, when our own citizens — the very people we have served for twenty years — do not donate. Sometimes you simply reach a point where enough is enough," the post read.

The group thanked Lance Bottoms for her support in a post to Facebook with a "digital sponsorship certificate."

It’s unclear how much she contributed to the event.

Bottoms' gubernatorial bid has been complicated by political liabilities. The Campaign Finance Commission fined her $37,000 in 2021 for accepting over $60,000 in contributions that exceeded legal limits as well as $110,000 that exceeded debt caps. She also announced that she would not pursue re-election as mayor of Atlanta amid a COVID-19 crime wave that spiked homicides by 58% over levels from the year before.

In addition to those controversies, Bottoms has also received criticism from conservatives for her stances on gender policy.

Recently, in a gubernatorial debate, the former mayor said she would have vetoed the Riley Gaines Act — a piece of legislation that banned biological men from competing in women’s sports.

"I believe that decisions about who competes and how people compete shouldn’t be happening at the state capitol. I don’t support the government making decisions about who should compete in athletics. I believe that decision should be left to respective athletic associations," Bottoms said.

That comment, in particular, has become a key campaign quote for her opponent, Rick Jackson, a businessman and the Republican nominee to replace outgoing Gov. Brian Kemp, as they set out to attack Bottoms' far-left positions on issues of gender and sexuality.

"Keisha Bottoms and the other Democrats said they’d have vetoed the Riley Gaines Act. They won’t protect girls’ sports, but they will open the floodgates for woke ideology in our schools. We’re going to make sure they don’t get the chance," the campaign said in a post to X, highlighting the debate moment.

Notably, Bottoms’ sponsorship of the upcoming Halloween event isn’t the first time she has supported drag-themed activities.

In 2019, as mayor, she invited Ms. Terra Cotta Sugarbaker, a drag queen, to host a story hour after the Fulton County library system removed a scheduled "drag queen story time" from its events.

"Ms. Terra Cotta Sugarbaker and all our LGBTQ friends are always welcome at Atlanta City Hall. How about we host your next story hour? Let’s make it happen!" she wrote in a post to X.

The Bottoms campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the upcoming event, what was included in her sponsorship, or whether it was appropriate to have children present for events centered around sexuality and gender expression.

Jewish educators face rampant antisemitism in teachers unions, new report finds

Jewish educators are experiencing rampant antisemitism from teachers unions, according to a new report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

The organization surveyed 307 Jewish members of teachers unions, many of whom admitted to censoring themselves and being disappointed with how unions handled concerns about antisemitism.

"What we found is not the work of a few bad actors. It is a structural and cultural failure," ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said in a statement. "Jewish educators deserve to feel safe and protected in their union spaces. And instead of that, they are self-censoring and fearing backlash for raising concerns."

Greenblatt added that the report's findings represented a "dangerous trend of institutionalized antisemitism."

FEDS OPEN PROBE INTO NEW YORK CITY'S ANTI-ISRAEL TEACHERS

Sydney Altfield, CEO of Teach Coalition, an organization that advocates for Jewish schools, said the report was particularly concerning because teachers unions were meant to represent and protect all educators.

"What strikes me is that these unions are supposed to be homes for everyone, and [they're] not being that," Altfield told Fox News Digital.

TEACHER WHO BATTLED UNION FEARS SHE’S BEING TARGETED AFTER SHIRT COMPLAINT: 'I'M AFRAID'

One of the key findings of the report was the high rate at which Jewish educators were self-censoring out of fear of retaliation. According to the ADL, 70% of respondents "somewhat or strongly agreed" that bringing up concerns about how Jews were treated in union spaces "could lead to reputational or professional consequences."

Additionally, 73.6% said they needed to censor themselves in union spaces, and 47.6% said they reduced their participation in union activities due to "harmful rhetoric or behavior targeting Jews, Zionists/Zionism or Israel."

A respondent told the ADL that union leadership "actively works against" Jews and Zionists. The respondent noted that the union "hosted several events promoting extremely biased and nasty anti-Israel curriculum, including giving out flyers that praised the Al-Aqsa flood operation [Oct. 7 attack] and glorified their martyrs..."

The respondent said their wife was "physically intimidated at a union event" and was "attacked publicly by union leadership online on social media."

FAR-LEFT ACTIVIST CONFERENCE AT TEACHERS UNION HQ RAISES CLASSROOM CONCERNS

Many respondents also reported pervasive anti-Jewish, anti-Israel and anti-Zionist conduct and said hostile rhetoric continued well after Hamas' Oct. 7 massacre in Israel. More than 70% of respondents "somewhat or strongly agreed" that union statements about the Israel-Hamas war failed to condemn the terror organization or the atrocities committed during the massacre.

The ADL noted that approximately 52% of respondents said they witnessed the minimization or denial of Oct. 7 atrocities, while nearly 49% said they heard the word "Zionism" used as a pejorative term in the past year.

"[My local union] passed a resolution as official union policy that blamed Israel for the October 7 Hamas attack. ... We tried to come up with ... amendments, but they voted us down and shouted us down," a respondent told the ADL.

Sixty-nine percent of respondents who raised concerns about antisemitism to union leadership told the ADL they were not satisfied with the response they received. The organization added that one of the top requests from respondents was for leadership to condemn threats and harassments against Jews.

"Jewish educators have gone into hiding. They do not admit to being Jewish or wear any identifying clothing/jewelry. We are still being told not to speak," one respondent told the ADL.

In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten acknowledged that "no institution" is "immune" to antisemitism. She also said that AFT was working to address concerns brought up in the report.

"Every student and every educator deserves to feel safe at school and in their unions," Weingarten said. "At a moment of real and rising antisemitism, no institution — including unions — is immune; the remedy requires constructive engagement that understands Jewish safety and strong unions go hand-in-hand, rather than binary approaches that pit communities against one another."

ANTISEMITIC VIOLENCE REACHES DEADLIEST LEVEL SINCE 1994, NEW GLOBAL REPORT FINDS

Weingarten said the AFT had partnered with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs on training, resources and local programs aimed at helping union members combat antisemitism, hate and extremism.

"There is much more work to do, and we’re looking forward to building on our partnership to ensure all educators and students are safe and respected in their schools," Weingarten added.

A spokesperson for the National Education Association (NEA) told Fox News Digital the union "stands firmly against antisemitism and hate in any form" and takes Jewish educators' concerns seriously.

"Every NEA member, including our Jewish members, has the right to participate fully in their union and their workplace, free from discrimination and harassment," the spokesperson said.

The NEA spokesperson noted that the union's Jewish Affairs Caucus brings members' concerns directly to union leadership. Additionally, the organization works with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs on antisemitism workshops and trainings, Holocaust education and resources for educators.

Altfield told Fox News Digital union leaders must address the problem if members believe that antisemitism is coming from the top, or that leadership may need to be changed altogether.

"If people are specifically saying that this is coming from the leadership, then the leadership needs to change," she said. "You can pass resolutions, you can pass and put out different curriculums, but if the top is not living and breathing, you know, a secure place for Jews, then it's never going to be trickled down to the bottom."

The ADL report comes as the organization notes historic levels of antisemitism across the U.S. In 2025, there were 6,274 recorded incidents of antisemitism, an average of about 17 every day, according to the ADL. These incidents included 203 assaults, 4,003 instances of antisemitic harassment and 2,068 acts of vandalism. Out of the 203 assaults, 32 involved a deadly weapon.

The survey covered teachers in 24 states, "with especially large representation from California, Massachusetts and New York," and nearly 99% of respondents worked in public schools.

Transgender Canadian golfer sends a blunt message to critics as victories over women pile up

Biological female golfers in Alberta, Canada, are suddenly being pushed off the top of the leaderboards, but why?

It appears a 2025 ruling opened the floodgates for transgender golfers to dominate women's golf in the province and that's exactly what's happened.

Trans golfers Veronica Ivy and Rachel Elser have now won five individual women's golf championships this summer, while Ivy, who used to dominate women's cycling in Great Britain, was also a member of the winning team in the 2026 Canadian Women's Mid-Amateur Championship.

AMERICANS CLASH OVER TRANSGENDER ATHLETES AS DEBATE HEATS UP: ‘JUST GETTING OUTRAGEOUS'

Elser's titles include the Fort McMurray Club Championship along with the 2026 Miskanaw Ladies Open title; Ivy won the B.C. Mid-Amateur and Mid-Master titles on the same day in June and an unidentified club title in August.

What's Ivy's message to those who oppose biological males invading Canadian women's golf? Get better, ladies.

"To the bigots: stay mad, and get a better hobby," Ivy wrote. "You're deeply unwell and you're obsessed with harassing a stranger. You're not going to make me stop existing and succeeding. I feel really sorry for you. You have my pity."

Women & Girls Alberta, a group that is fighting to protect the rights, safety and dignity of Alberta's Women & Girls, according to its Facebook page, says enough is enough with Ivy and Elser. The group says that Alberta has legislation that should be protecting female golfers.

But, based on the transgender rules set forth by Alberta Golf — the organization in charge of golf across the province — Ivy and Elser seem perfectly within the rules to go out and dominate biological females. "For individuals who have undergone gender reassignment after puberty, the following guidelines will be used: I. Male-to-female transgendered persons, to compete as a female, must submit documentation from a medical practitioner that gender reassignment has been ongoing for at least one year," Alberta Golf stated as its official policy in February 2025.

And what would suffice as reassignment? Hormone therapy is good enough.

The results since then speak volumes.

"I'm getting back into competitive golf, which was the sport I grew up with since I was 3," Ivy wrote on Instagram the same month as Alberta Golf updated its transgender golf rules. By late summer, Ivy had won the first of what is now a full list of championships.

Ah, but Ivy says outlets like OutKick are making more out of this than we should. The competition, Ivy claims, is weak. "They just see that I won some competition–without any checking for what level of competition it was," Ivy told OutSports earlier this month. "I went from competing in elite world-level track cycling, though never making the national team or the Olympics, to contesting for age group provincial titles.

"I still haven’t cracked the top 10 at the Canadian national mid-amateur championship. I’m just out here trying my best, being a good competitor. Transphobes are pathetic."

Let that sink in, ladies. Ivy doesn't think beating you is that big of a deal because you're not very talented. Not talented enough, Ivy claims, for OutKick to make a big deal out of it. How pleasant. How brave of Ivy.

What's Elser's golf background? Outside of a 2025 women's club championship, there's not much to report. Magically, out of thin air, suddenly Alberta women's golf titles are being won by transgenders.

But, as Ivy says, that's not their problem. The biological females just need to get used to it or get better.

New York's Erie County axes DHS job fair over ICE's role, drawing backlash: 'Totally inappropriate'

A Buffalo-area Republican accused Democratic Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz of overstepping his authority after the Buffalo Convention Center canceled a two-day Department of Homeland Security career expo set to begin Tuesday because officials objected to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's participation and warned of possible protests.

"The county executive has completely surpassed his power and authority. This was totally inappropriate for him to call on the management of the convention center to cancel this event," Republican Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo said in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Lorigo said she understood discussions about the event were continuing and hoped the center would reverse its decision. She said vendors had invested time and local labor into the expo’s setup.

DEMOCRATIC MAYOR BLASTED BY DHS FOR 'HUNTING DOWN' PROPERTY OWNERS LEASING TO ICE: 'UNHINGED'

"I have had discussions with vendors that are already set up there," Lorigo said. "They’re concerned that they’re going to have to close down their business because they can’t afford the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but now they don’t know who’s going to pay the bill.

"I think he is blowing the safety concern out of the water."

DHS sharply defended ICE in a statement to Fox News Digital on Friday and rejected criticism as political.

"Our agents are focused on protecting the American people — not entertaining performative outrage. Where is the outrage for Angel families who lost a loved one to illegal alien crime?" a DHS spokesperson said.

"To most Americans, our brave ICE law enforcement are heroes. Eighty percent of Americans support arresting and deporting criminal illegal aliens from American neighborhoods."

A May Harvard CAPS/Harris online survey found 80% supported deporting immigrants who are in the country illegally and committed crimes.

USAJOBS described the expo as the department’s premier large-scale hiring event. It was open to the public, veterans, military spouses, people with disabilities and recent graduates, with recruiting planned across cybersecurity, intelligence, law enforcement, finance, human resources, immigration services, logistics and transportation security.

New York Labor Department data released Tuesday showed 25,100 people were unemployed in the Buffalo-Cheektowaga area in July. Its 4.4% jobless rate was up from 4.3% a year earlier.

DHS ISSUES SCATHING REBUKE AFTER FORMER ATLANTA MAYOR KEISHA LANCE BOTTOMS TOUTS CUTTING TIES WITH ICE

In a joint statement released by Poloncarz’s office Thursday, the county executive said Erie County owns the convention center but does not manage its bookings or daily operations. Poloncarz said he learned of the expo Wednesday and urged its management corporation to cancel the DHS contract.

"The Buffalo Convention Center is a publicly owned community asset, and I do not believe it should be used to support recruitment efforts that are inconsistent with the values we have repeatedly expressed as a welcoming community," Poloncarz said.

Convention center President and CEO Patrick Kaler said management first asked DHS to hold the event without ICE.

"When it became clear that was not possible, we made the decision to cancel as we feel it’s in the best interests of our community at this time," Kaler said.

Rory McIlroy makes embarrassing mistake in $10 million tournament, announcer rips him for being too 'cute'

Doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result is what some people call insanity. It’s also what Rory McIlroy did Friday.

McIlroy was 2-under entering the third hole of the second round of the Tour Championship at East Lake when disaster struck. The two-time Masters champion was chipping uphill to the green, about 15 yards from the hole, and he didn’t give his chip enough power.

He hit the uphill slope, and the ball bounced once before rolling straight back to his feet. McIlroy then took one quick practice swing and lined up his shot again.

McIlroy then proceeded to do the exact same thing. He didn’t give the ball enough power when he hit it into the slope, and it bounced once before again rolling back to his feet.

The third time was the charm as he finally hit the green and double-bogeyed the hole. However, he significantly hurt his chances of winning the tournament’s $10 million purse.

"To get cute twice in a row," the ESPN+ broadcaster said. "Unbelievable, you just have to err long, especially when it’s your second time."

ESPN’s Andy North said that McIlroy makes a lot of forced mistakes, which is why there’s such a difference between him and Scottie Scheffler.

"It is very frustrating. He’s such a talented player," North said on the broadcast. "When he’s on, there’s maybe nobody better than him.

"He just hits so many quality shots but you can’t keep short-siding yourself, you can’t keep making mistakes with wedges. You look at the difference between the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the world, Scottie doesn’t make a lot of forced mistakes like Rory does."

McIlroy rebounded to finish 1-under on the day and 3-under for the tournament, but he was tied for 22nd out of 30 players. At the time of this writing, the Northern Irishman was six strokes off the lead, with Ryan Gerard in first at 9-under par.

The media’s obsession with Natalie Harp, one of President Donald Trump's most trusted aides, continued this week when her presence at work was treated as a newsworthy event.

Harp was dragged into a political firestorm after being name-dropped in a viral stump speech by Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., earlier this month. CNN and MS NOW fixated on Harp in the days following Ossoff’s remark, giving much attention to reports of the letters she had written to Trump expressing staunch loyalty and how she joined him on his secret plane switch last month. At the height of the frenzy, CNN even drew backlash for interviewing Harp's estranged brother on air.

CNN White House reporter Alejandra Jaramillo took to social media on Thursday to declare she "spotted" Harp "in the back of the Oval Office." The widely mocked post included a candid photo of Harp standing in the back of the room as the president fielded questions from reporters.

The saga began when Ossoff appeared to suggest that Harp and Trump had an inappropriate relationship, but the Democrat has since attempted to distance himself from the innuendo.

"I’m not quite sure what CNN was attempting to accomplish here," Heritage Foundation media fellow Tim Young told Fox News Digital.

"First of all, they’re showing a White House staffer who is staffing the White House, but ultimately, they are trying to make this false story of Natalie Harp having some illicit affair with Trump come true -- and pretend that Harp would be so embarrassed by it that she would actually ‘still show her face’ in the Oval Office," Young continued. "They’ll deny that that’s their intended goal, but ultimately that’s what they were doing."

Woman accused of defacing WWII Memorial with spray paint indicted by federal grand jury

The woman accused of vandalizing the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., was formally indicted Friday, Fox News Digital has learned.

Melissa Farris was charged on two counts, including destruction of a veterans’ memorial and destruction of government property.

The Kentucky woman allegedly spray-painted the words "Clean hands, dirty money" in bright pink paint and dumped bubble soap into the fountain at the center of the memorial, according to authorities.

Federal prosecutors allege that cleanup and restoration costs already exceeded $1,000.

Farris did a Facebook live before turning herself in and her arrest Aug. 14, in which she admitted to the alleged vandalism the day before.

"It's me. I am going to turn myself in," she said. "I'm outside district federal court. I am just trying to do the right thing. … I was trying to get people to listen. … I tried to reach the media. I tried to fight back. I tried to ignore it."

Farris claimed she lived in a paper-thin camper that she "boarded up with cardboard in the winter to feel a little bit warmer."

Fox News Digital has reached out to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for comment.

"Vandalizing our World War II Memorial is a despicable attack on a sacred monument honoring the Americans who fought and died for our freedom," U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said in a statement after Farris was charged.

"Those Americans include my father and grandfather."

Pirro said the charges carry penalties of up to ten years in prison.

"Our beautiful World War II Memorial was just hit by Spray Painting Vandals," President Donald Trump wrote earlier this month on Truth Social.

"THERE CAN BE NO GREATER INSULT TO THOSE AMERICAN HEROES WHO DIED IN WORLD WAR II. First the Reflecting Pool, now this. We are on their trail! Where do these animals come from???"

Several people, including Olympic canoeist David Hearn, were arrested in June for allegedly vandalizing the newly renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, but the charges were dropped earlier this month.

Prosecutors cited evidence indicating the damage may have stemmed from a botched renovation rather than vandalism.

U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche on Aug. 16 said he "absolutely" supported Pirro’s decision to drop the charges, "as does President Trump," he told NBC’s "Meet the Press."

Trump has spoken out against the decision this month, saying he "disagrees 100%" with Pirro’s decision.

Police operation takes unexpected turn when officers stumble upon ancient burial cave

Israeli police recently stumbled on an ancient burial cave in an unlikely place while carrying out an operation in Jerusalem.

The discovery was announced by the Israel Police, Israel's civilian law enforcement agency, on Aug. 24.

While carrying out an operation related to what police described as a "violent family conflict" in Silwan, a village in East Jerusalem, officers came upon the cave.

ARCHAEOLOGISTS MAKE UNUSUAL FIND NEAR SITE WHERE ARK OF THE COVENANT WAS ONCE KEPT

The operation followed a deadly clash between feuding families that erupted into gunfire and Molotov cocktail attacks, according to The Jerusalem Post.

The violence prompted police to launch an operation aimed at locating those involved in the conflict.

"As part of the activity, Jerusalem Border Police officers conducted searches in Silwan and accompanied government authority representatives at a compound where individuals involved in the incident reside," police said in a translated statement.

Officers then found the burial cave beneath a building — along with other "archaeological finds."

"Representatives of the Israel Antiquities Authority arrived at the scene, and an initial examination indicates that the graves date to the Second Temple period," police said.

Rock-cut burial caves were commonly used as family tombs in Jerusalem during the Second Temple period, though officials did not provide a more precise date for the newly discovered graves.

The Second Temple period lasted from roughly 516 B.C. to 70 A.D., when Roman forces destroyed the temple during the First Jewish-Roman War.

Pictures released by Israeli police show the dark interior of the rock-cut burial cave, with debris scattered across the floor.

Matthew Berry left ESPN in 2022, in part, because the company was not open to employees operating their own media companies. Berry then joined NBC, where he appeared on "Football Night in America" while building his own fantasy football company on the outside.

Berry has since departed NBC to focus on Fantasy Life, his independently owned media company on pace to generate eight figures in revenue this year.

ESPN has since changed its philosophy. Management is now open to partnering with talent who retain ownership of their content.

Berry spoke to OutKick this week on video about his career, business, and future. During the discussion, we asked whether he had talked to ESPN about a potential return in recent months.

"Yes," Berry responded without hesitation.

"I have [talked to ESPN]," he continued. "When you leave and go out on your own, you look at [Pat McAfee] as the great model. ESPN specifically has done it with some people [in that the talent either license their show to ESPN or can retain ownership of a media brand outside of the network]."

Berry cautioned that, while the talks have been positive, "no deal is imminent" with ESPN.

Frankly, it would have been surprising if Berry and ESPN had not discussed a partnership. Berry’s digital content ranks among the most popular in sports media. During football season, his podcast downloads are on par with Barstool’s "Pardon My Take" and "The Bill Simmons Podcast."

He is an ideal fit for ESPN’s current strategy of teaming with the top digital creators in sports, with McAfee as the most notable example.

For the same reasons, we suspect Berry is also having conversations with Amazon, Netflix, Paramount, and various gambling providers about amplifying Fantasy Life.

Later in the interview, Berry said he will not take home as much money this year as he did in salary at ESPN. However, he expects to exceed his television salary by the third year.

What else? I've got a couple insane moments from the world of FCS last night, Al Michaels still pumping his fastball and Kirk's dog, once again, being shoved down our throats.

Did y'all miss Kirk's dog?! Well, he's back! This guy is amazing. It HAS to be a bit at this point, right?

OK, let's get this show on the road. I've gotta head on up to Daytona for a big weekend of automobile racing, and I'd prefer to not hit the terrible stretch of traffic in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach.

This race should be in July, but Daytona in August still hits the spot

I took that picture a few years ago — the first Daytona 500 after Trump got re-elected — and all folks could talk about was Anheuser-Busch changing it from "Domestic" to "American" beer. That was a big story that week in the infield.

They never came out and admitted it, but it was very clearly because Trump was back in office and everyone was trying to cover their tails from the wokeness of the last four years. Hilarious.

Anyway, this will be my 11th summer race at Daytona, dating back to my years at the Daytona Beach News-Journal. Eleven! Time flies. My first ever race I covered was way back in 2016 — a month after I got married.

Fun fact from that race: I didn't know what to do or where to go. Had no idea. More importantly, I had no idea where I was ALLOWED to go.

So, naturally, I walked straight into a TV interview after a big wreck in an area that was very clearly restricted to just drivers.

If you scroll to the 2:00:25 mark, you'll see young, dumb, ignorant Zach on his phone as Jimmie and Jamie argue about the wreck:

I nearly got kicked out of the track once the PR folks figured it out. What a rush! And now, here we are, 11 years later and ready for another race weekend.

Judge throws out Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's 9/11 confession in already long wait for trial

A military judge on Friday threw out a confession made by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

In his ruling, Lt. Col. Michael Schrama, a military judge, wrote that statements made by Mohammed to investigators in 2007 were not given voluntarily, the New York Post reported.

The ruling could complicate what has already been a decades-long wait for the suspected plotter to stand trial. The move wasn't initially made public, but sources familiar with its contents told the newspaper that Schrama had axed Mohammed’s confessions from the case in the ruling.

Schrama rejected a request by prosecutors to open the trial in January 2027, saying it would leave too little time for the "resolution of pretrial evidentiary and compliance motions."

Fox News Digital has reached out to military prosecutors in the case. The advocacy group 9/11 Families United declined to comment on Friday's ruling to Fox News Digital.

Schrama's latest ruling threatens to further delay the case, which has been plagued by postponements and failed efforts to secure plea agreements.

In 2024, Mohammed, Walid bin Attash, and Mustafa al-Hawsawi agreed to admit their roles in the terror attacks in exchange for serving life sentences and avoiding the death penalty. They are all being held in a U.S. military base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

Amid criticism of the plea deal from many families of the victims, the Biden administration withdrew the agreement, resulting in more litigation.

Illegal immigrant tuition perks put 4 states in Trump DOJ crosshairs

The Trump administration filed lawsuits against four states Thursday over laws allowing illegal immigrants to receive financial benefits offered to state residents, including in-state tuition, state grants and state-funded student loans.

The Justice Department argued that laws in Oregon, Washington, New Mexico and Arizona allowing illegal immigrants to receive benefits are in violation of a federal law that states an illegal immigrant is ineligible to receive higher education in-state benefits unless those same benefits are available to every U.S. student.

"This is a simple matter of federal law: Colleges cannot provide benefits to illegal aliens that they do not provide to U.S. citizens," Assistant Attorney General Brett A. Shumate of the Justice Department’s Civil Division said in a statement.

"This Department of Justice will not tolerate American students being treated like second-class citizens in their own country."

DOJ SUES NEW JERSEY OVER LAWS GIVING ILLEGAL ALIENS IN-STATE TUITION, SAYS CITIZENS TREATED AS 'SECOND-CLASS'

The latest lawsuits bring the number of states facing legal challenges over laws granting illegal immigrant students the same benefits as lawful residents to 21. The Justice Department has won its cases in Texas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Illinois.

"Our efforts will not cease until President Trump’s promise is fulfilled: Illegal aliens will not receive benefits denied to American citizens," Associate Attorney General Stanley E. Woodward, Jr. said in a statement.

The difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition costs at public universities in the four states is significant. The complaint showed that for the 2026-2027 school year, Washington residents would pay $13,406, compared with $44,460 for out-of-state students at the University of Washington.

This means illegal immigrants could receive a $31,054 discount if they earned a high school diploma or equivalent in the state, lived there for at least one year for reasons other than attending college and signed an affidavit saying they would seek permanent residency when eligible.

TRUMP'S JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SUES NEW YORK, OTHER BLUE STATES OVER TUITION FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

The Justice Department's lawsuit against Arizona also showed a significant difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition costs, with the largest gap at Arizona State University totaling $24,448.

The lawsuit alleged that in fall 2025, 432 illegal immigrants received in-state tuition benefits at Arizona State University amounting to $10.5 million in reduced tuition.

The lawsuit also cites a report from the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting that estimates more than 3,600 illegal aliens per year could qualify for in-state tuition under Arizona’s law.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Board of Regents, a plaintiff in the lawsuit, said the school system follows state law.

"We are reviewing the lawsuit and will work closely with Arizona leaders on the appropriate next steps," a spokesperson said.

The benefits extend beyond tuition costs.

COURT CHECKS PRITZKER AS TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SCORES ANOTHER IMMIGRATION WIN

In Oregon, only in-state students enrolled at Oregon Health & Science University can receive a Rural Nurse Scholars Scholarship, which covers the full cost of tuition and a $1,500 travel stipend. The Justice Department alleges that illegal immigrants are eligible for the scholarship under state law.

In Washington, not only do illegal immigrants qualify for in-state tuition and grants, but the state also created a financial aid program for illegal immigrants living in the state who are unable to obtain federal financial aid. The program is known as the Undocumented Student Support Loan Program, and it was created under a bill passed in 2020.

Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson said in a statement to Fox News Digital that he stands by the state's laws.

"Washington state won’t be bullied into changing how we provide opportunities for young people in our state," Ferguson said. "We’ll see them in court, and we expect to win."

A June 2024 report estimated that roughly 408,000 illegal immigrants were enrolled in higher education, with 29.1% arriving in the United States at age 17 or older.

Viral video of homeless encampment around city of Berkeley sparks safety concerns from parent

A homeless encampment located near University of California (UC), Berkeley student housing in Berkeley, California, went viral on X after a parent posted a video of what she witnessed while moving her child into an apartment.

Lyanne Melendez, a longtime reporter for San Francisco's ABC7 News, shared the video after dropping off her son at University Village, a university-owned housing complex located in neighboring Albany.

"I just dropped my son off at @UCBerkeley housing and as we were approaching we saw this behind his apartments," Melendez wrote on X, calling out the city of Berkeley, the city of Albany and Berkeley administration.

While the housing complex sits within Albany city limits, the proximity to campus facilities has drawn reactions from students who navigate surrounding encampments daily.

"The [encampment] is not on University property ... and we have no jurisdiction or ability to address this issue. Please contact the City of Berkeley," a UC Berkeley spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

"Turns out it's not really right next to the main UC Berkeley campus, so that's an important thing to note, but there are still issues," John Paul Leon, a UC Berkeley student, told Fox News Digital.

Leon, a senior double-majoring in economics and philosophy with a minor in public policy, told Fox News Digital seeing homeless individuals is a daily reality for students, even if it startles visiting families.

"One of the normal things I go through every day is walking past three homeless people on my way to class," Leon said. "It's just a usual occurrence. It's something I've gotten used to, but I'm sure it's something that a lot of parents would not feel right about their children being subject to."

Leon added that he believes university administrators are motivated to address the issue in ways that clear encampments from campus property and surrounding streets while directing individuals toward resources.

Nearby business owners have also voiced frustration over conditions along the corridor. Emily Winston, founder and CEO of Berkeley-based Boichik Bagels, told Fox News Digital the conditions around the corner from her headquarters resemble a "slum out of a Third World country."

"There's been feces found all over on various properties. It's been found on our property. I've had to clean it up personally before. Needles, very scary threats to staff that work in the different businesses here," Winston said. She added that the encampment sometimes takes up the "entirety of the sidewalk."

Winston, who opened up the Sixth Street location in 2023, said she’s seen onsite sales drop as families avoid the area.

"We have this awesome patio. We say, 'Come get a bagel and watch our robots make bagels.’ It's a fun family sort of event," Winston said. "And strangely enough, people don't want to bring their kids around the corner from this because it's pretty scary."

She also said employees have been forced to navigate dangerous or unsettling encounters.

"My staff had to beg someone to get out of our dumpster. They had actually gone in our dumpster and closed the lid on top of them," Winston recounted to Fox News Digital.

"No one on my staff should be picking up human excrement from the sidewalk in front of our property or used needles. This is not what I built this business here to do."

Winston called the corridor a "dystopian scene" and said she regretted choosing the location. "Had I known what was [going to] happen ... I probably would not have signed this lease, and I would have built this elsewhere," Winston said.

She urged city leaders to clear the encampment permanently.

"We're all paying rent. We're paying very significant fees and trying hard to make successful, thriving businesses here," she said. "And this is just, it’s rough, and it’s really exhausting. And it’s just gone on way too long."

Winston and other local businesses joined a lawsuit against the city in 2024 over corridor conditions. She said city officials have told her "their hands are tied" because of lawsuits challenging encampment sweeps but compared the city's actions to housekeeping that only temporarily tidies up.

"I know it's frustrating for them," she added.

Barry Braden, co-founder and CEO of Fieldwork Brewing Co. on Sixth Street, told Fox News Digital the encampment has created ongoing challenges for businesses.

"Fieldwork Brewing is deeply concerned about the ongoing conditions surrounding the encampment on Harrison Street and the impact they are having on our employees, our customers, neighboring businesses and the broader community," Braden said.

"We recognize that homelessness is a complex issue requiring compassion and meaningful solutions, but the current situation has created persistent public safety, sanitation and access concerns that cannot be ignored."

Braden said the brewery has been in contact with Berkeley officials and is asking city leaders to take action.

"We have been in communication with the City of Berkeley and are asking City leaders to take prompt, effective action that both connects individuals in the encampment with appropriate services and restores a safe, clean and accessible environment for everyone who lives, works and visits the area," he told Fox News Digital.

In response to inquiries regarding local encampments, a spokesperson for the City of Berkeley highlighted ongoing municipal and legal efforts to address public health and safety concerns.

"The city has methodically laid out its work in the area and our efforts to comply with court orders in numerous filings with the court," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

"We were recently in front of the judge on August 13, and numerous declarations were filed in advance of that hearing. These declarations include extensive documentation of conditions on the street. With high school football season getting underway, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell detailed what makes it so special in a message to young kids.

"You guys grew up together, and I know this: we've got a couple of coaches that have seniors. They have seniors that are opening up tonight. And man, you never forget your senior year for sure. You don't forget all of them, but man, wherever you're at, make the most of it because you're not guaranteed to be able to get a chance to play and be with those guys that you grew up with. Enjoy the game at that level," Campbell told reporters on Thursday.

Former Disney Channel star alleges she was sexually abused at 14 after being told to ‘bond’ with employee

A former Disney Channel star made disturbing allegations about her time on set in a new lawsuit.

Raquel Lee Bolleau claimed an adult male employee sexually abused her when she was just 14 after Disney personnel allegedly encouraged her to "bond" with him.

The alleged abuse began during production of the 2001 Disney Channel movie "The Poof Point," after personnel directed her to spend time with the adult employee.

According to the complaint obtained by Fox News Digital, the man supplied the 14-year-old with alcohol and repeatedly sexually assaulted her during filming.

After the alleged sexual assault, Bolleau recalled the employee telling her, "You're old enough. You can handle it."

Bolleau claimed she returned to set smelling of alcohol, vomiting and visibly changed after the alleged assault, but Disney personnel failed to investigate how a 14-year-old got alcohol or seek medical care for her. Instead, the complaint claimed, an executive branded her "out of control," said the movie had gone "haywire" and told her representatives Disney was "extremely upset."

On another occasion, an on-set Disney executive producer allegedly repeatedly told Bolleau she "need[ed] Jesus" and told her mother, "your daughter has a demon inside her," according to the complaint.

Bolleau alleged Disney repeatedly separated her from her guardian despite California protections requiring a guardian of a performer under 16 remain within "sight or sound" of the child.

According to the complaint, her guardian could not watch Bolleau while she filmed or accompany her to wardrobe and makeup, and production personnel once told the guardian, "We do not even need you on set." Bolleau claimed those practices left her without adequate adult supervision and gave her alleged abuser unrestricted access to her.

Bolleau alleged the employee also sexually harassed and touched her in front of others on set. She claimed he regularly gave her unsolicited hugs, rubbed his genitals against her and whispered comments including "last night was so good" while cast members were still wearing microphones. Bolleau alleged sound technicians could hear many of the comments, but no one intervened or asked what the adult employee was saying to her.

"Instead of protecting and supporting its minor employee who was being repeatedly raped, sexually assaulted, sexually abused, and harassed, Disney covered up Mr. Doe’s abuse, and blamed Ms. Bolleau for the impact of Mr. Doe’s horrific misconduct," Bolleau's lawyers wrote.

"Disney’s egregious role in Mr. Doe’s abuse of Ms. Bolleau is part of a broader, institutional, and systemic pattern of institutional and individual failures at Disney that extends far beyond 'The Poof Point.'"

Bolleau claimed the alleged abuse continued after filming wrapped. According to the complaint, Disney booked Bolleau in first class while seating her guardian in economy on the flight back to California.

Bolleau alleged the employee told her to sit next to him and bring a blanket to cover them before sexually assaulting her during the flight and continuing until their row began to deboard at Los Angeles International Airport.

Bolleau sued The Walt Disney Company, specifically alleging Disney failed to protect her from sexual abuse when she was a 14-year-old actress. She claimed the company ignored warning signs, violated child-actor protections and failed to properly supervise her alleged abuser. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, along with attorneys’ fees, costs and interest.

"Over the last decade, countless child actors have come forward to bravely share their experiences of abuse by adults in entertainment," Bolleau's lawyers, Doug Wigdor and Jane Kim, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

"As former government prosecutors, our message to the entertainment industry is simple: This conduct is inexcusable, and those involved – directly or indirectly – must be held accountable."

Bolleau began acting as a child, with an early television appearance on "Malcolm & Eddie" before getting her breakout opportunity on Nickelodeon’s "The Amanda Show."

A former Reagan administration national security official is sounding the alarm over what he calls a growing "red-green alliance" between radical Islamists and far-left socialists, warning the unlikely ideological partners are joining forces around a shared anti-American agenda.

Frank Gaffney sat down with Fox News Digital to discuss the growing influence of the Democratic Socialists of America and what he believes are the true intentions and potential threats to U.S. national security.

"One can argue that the Sharia supremacists are pursuing communism with a God, or at least a patina, a veneer of religiosity to it," Gaffney explained. "Fundamentally, they're at the hip in totalitarianism. Yes, with different outcomes in mind, but still perfectly willing to make common cause for the immediate shared objective of destroying the United States, which stands in the way of either of their ambitions."

Gaffney served as assistant secretary of defense for international security policy under former President Ronald Reagan and graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Arts in international studies from Johns Hopkins University. He founded the Center for Security Policy think tank in Washington, D.C., in 1988 and currently serves as the president of the Institute for the American Future.

The "red-green alliance" describes the political cooperation between far-left movements, represented by the color red, and Islamist movements, represented by green.

The Reagan-era official argued that while the far left and Islamists have different ultimate goals, they share a common adversary in the American constitutional system, which he said stands in the way of both movements’ ambitions.

These concepts were recently debated during a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing titled "Hidden in Plain Sight: Confronting the Muslim Brotherhood Network in America" that took place earlier this month.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, questioned Kyle Shideler, director and senior analyst for homeland security and counterterrorism at the Center for Security Policy, about whether the Muslim Brotherhood partners with groups such as the Democratic Socialists of America and characterized that relationship as the "Red-Green Alliance."

Shideler agreed with Cruz's characterization and said he has seen evidence that the "red-green alliance" shares a "revolutionary objective" to squash Americanism, including the Constitution.

"This threat cannot be ignored because it is politically inconvenient," Cruz posted to X. "A counterterrorism expert testified that the Muslim Brotherhood and the DSA are united by a shared hatred of America — and a revolutionary objective to overthrow the U.S. Constitution."

Gaffney agreed with the sentiment during his interview with Fox News Digital, taking it one step further to say the two movements are "perfectly willing to make common cause" around what he described as an "immediate shared objective of destroying the United States."

"What they have in common is much more important than their differences," Gaffney explained.

The "red-green alliance" has also been scrutinized by some Muslim critics of radical Islamism.

In May, Fox News Digital spoke with Dalia Ziada, a Muslim scholar who was forced to flee Egypt after criticizing Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel. She said that the nexus of radical Islamism with the radical left in the "red-green alliance" threatened the U.S., American politics and Western society.

"For five or seven years now, we have been seeing some kind of a ‘sinful marriage’ between the radical left and radical Islamism, the groups that hate Western liberal democracies and desire to destroy them," she told Fox News Digital.

Antifa-linked sites go dark after State Department terror designation of tech collective

Websites tied to Portland’s Rose City Antifa and the militant abortion-rights group Jane’s Revenge began going dark in the days after the State Department designated their Italy-based technology provider a global terrorist entity.

Fox News Digital first reported this week that the State Department had designated Autistici/Inventati, known as the A/I Collective, as a specially designated global terrorist over its alleged support for violent far-left networks.

"Today’s news demonstrates the extent to which the A/I Collective was the digital infrastructure of the global Antifa terror network," a State Department official told Fox News Digital.

Among them was Rose City Counter-Info, a Portland-based website the State Department says Rose City Antifa used to publish personal information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel and organize violent activity against federal agents.

The State Department said the group used the site to distribute an online flyer urging supporters to use laser pointers against Customs and Border Protection helicopters. Federal records show one man later pleaded guilty to aiming a laser at a CBP helicopter, forcing the aircraft to abort a planned landing.

Jane’s Revenge also used A/I services to publish communiqués claiming responsibility for attacks on pregnancy centers and to incite copycat violence, according to the State Department. The group claimed responsibility for the May 2022 firebombing of a crisis pregnancy center in Madison, Wisconsin.

The NoBlogs platform, which is hosted by A/I and contains thousands of sites, was intermittently unavailable Friday. Some individual pages remained accessible while others returned errors or timed out.

The State Department has not said whether any U.S. agency directly disabled A/I infrastructure or whether the outages resulted from decisions by the collective, its vendors or its users after the designation.

The sanctions action blocks Americans and U.S. financial institutions from doing business with A/I and freezes any assets it holds under U.S. jurisdiction.

The State Department says A/I provided encrypted chat and email services, web hosting, secure video tools and anonymity services to violent left-wing groups in the United States and Europe. The department also said a media organization using A/I services disseminated material from Hamas, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hezbollah and other designated terrorist groups.

A/I denied the allegations in a statement posted on a NoBlogs-hosted page.

The collective described itself as "a small, volunteer-run, technology collective from Italy" that provides tools for "digital self-defense."

President Donald Trump on Friday spoke with American astronauts aboard the International Space Station from Houston, where he honored the Artemis II crew moments earlier.

Trump joked at the beginning of the phone call that many Americans would love to travel to space.

"I wouldn't do it," he said from NASA's Johnson Space Center. "I hate to admit it. I would not want to do it. But some people love it more than anything."
