Caitlin Clark trades the court for kitchen alongside iconic television puppet in witty new commercial

The WNBA superstar and Sesame Street's beloved blue icon join forces on a mission to bake the 'Greatest Cookie of All Time'

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark clearly needs better teammates, so she is officially teaming up with THE Cookie Monster.

In her latest off-court venture, the WNBA superstar debuted a new Xfinity commercial, joining forces with Sesame Street's most chaotic blue icon on a mission to bake the "Greatest Cookie of All Time."

Honestly, a frantic puppet addicted to baked goods would still provide more spacing on the floor than what Clark dealt with all season. Hard to blame the girl for looking outside the locker room.

WATCH:

It is easily the best sports crossover with a fuzzy mascot since Grimace saved the Mets' season. The commercial leans straight into the "two GOATs" dynamic: Clark, who shattered every TV rating in WNBA history, and Cookie Monster, hunting down pastry perfection.

While Angel Reese is grinding for a title in the WNBA Finals, Clark is clocking offseason commercial shifts. Between her $28 million Nike bag, a Wilson basketball line and spots for Gatorade and State Farm, corporate suits cannot get enough of her. Now she added Xfinity to the pile, playing baker next to a literal felt puppet. Electric.

CAITLIN CLARK PASSES LEBRON JAMES IN JERSEY SALES, FURTHER EXPOSING WNBA'S MARKETING PROBLEM

Clark just wrapped up a frustrating postseason run that ended with the Fever getting eliminated by A'ja Wilson and the powerhouse Las Vegas Aces.

Advertisers know something the WNBA has yet to crack: anything Clark touches brings eyeballs. Now she's getting paid a fortune to hang out with a childhood icon. Not bad work if you can get it.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE.
OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush wanted to join ‘Titanic mythology’ when Titan sub imploded, friend claims

Karl Stanley called the vessel a 'mousetrap for billionaires' in a new book about amateur submarines

OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush built the Titan submersible to implode on its dive to the Titanic wreck so he could become part of "Titanic mythology," a longtime friend claimed, saying it was a "mousetrap for billionaires."

Karl Stanley, a commercial submersible expert and longtime friend of Rush, made the claim in author Matthew Gavin Frank’s new book, "Submersed: Wonder, Obsession and Murder in the World of Amateur Submarines."

"[Rush’s] ego was so big," Stanley told Frank, "he was willing to die and kill to be the pivotal character of this story. He wanted to go [die] at the wreck [of Titanic]. The more high-profile, the better. He didn’t just murder four wealthy people and get paid a cool mill to do it — they are all part of the Titanic mythology."

TITAN SUBMERSIBLE WIDOW SAYS REMAINS OF HUSBAND AND SON CAME BACK IN WHAT LOOKED LIKE SMALL 'SHOEBOXES'

The Titan lost contact with its support ship on June 18, 2023, while it was descending to see the Titanic wreckage in the North Atlantic, which sparked a multinational search. Debris was found four days later, and officials announced the Titan had imploded, killing all five people onboard: Rush, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Hamish Harding, and Shahzada Dawood and his son, Suleman.

Passengers paid up to $250,000 to be onboard the Titan.

A U.S. Coast Guard investigation would later determine that the disaster was preventable.

TITANIC SURVIVOR'S LIFE JACKET SELLS FOR OVER $900K AT AUCTION, FAR EXCEEDING PRICE EXPECTATIONS

Frank wrote that Rush's ambitions went well beyond his own death, saying that the name Titan, which was borrowed from the doomed ocean liner in Morgan Robertson’s 1898 novel "Futility," was done intentionally. That novel features a fictional British ocean liner named "Titan" that strikes an iceberg, drawing a parallel to the fate of the Titanic.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM THE FOX TRUE CRIME HUB

"According to Stanley, in order to extend, and to be a part of this larger story, Rush needed to compel more than just his own death, and he needed to knowingly fabricate a 'futile' vessel, costumed in a titanic name, as his murder weapon," Frank wrote.

SEND US A TIP

"You believe that Rush knew the sub was going to implode — actually intended it to — and that he killed everyone onboard, himself included, to best become part of the ongoing Titanic mythology?" Frank asked Stanley.

"I know this is what happened," Stanley said.

LISTEN TO THE NEW 'CRIME & JUSTICE WITH DONNA ROTUNNO' PODCAST

Stanley also alleged that "most everyone" who worked for OceanGate knew what would happen to the Titan, and "all of them are s---ting their pants" after the implosion.

GET BREAKING NEWS BY EMAIL

Brandi Young, a former federal and state prosecutor, told Fox News Digital that a first-degree murder charge would have been difficult to prove because Rush was risking his own life on the dive, saying a manslaughter charge would have been more likely.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"There’d be an argument to be made that perhaps second-degree murder, showing just reckless, extreme disregard, something that’s heightened over manslaughter, that potentially might be an avenue," said Young. "You have a lot of direct evidence of just the pure recklessness of someone going forward with complete disregard for the other human life."

Former McDonald's exec spills the beans on why healthier menu favorite got the axe

Former culinary innovation manager Mike Haracz says rising beef prices could push the chain toward more chicken items

McDonald's is looking to expand its chicken offerings, including potentially bringing back grilled chicken sandwiches — a menu item the fast-food giant discontinued in 2020.

At a September investor meeting, McDonald's executives discussed plans to expand the chain's chicken lineup, including grilled chicken sandwiches and wraps, as demand for protein options grows, according to Restaurant Dive.

The renewed interest comes years after McDonald's pulled its grilled chicken sandwich from U.S. menus, raising questions about why the healthier offering disappeared in the first place.

MCDONALD'S EXECUTIVE REVEALS SIMPLE MENU HACKS TO HELP CUSTOMERS PACK MORE PROTEIN INTO MEALS

Chef Mike Haracz, who served as McDonald's manager of culinary innovation from 2015 to 2019, told Fox News Digital why the grilled chicken sandwich ultimately failed to make the cut — and whether it could find its way back to the menu.

The reason was simple: Not enough customers were ordering it, Haracz said.

"For many of the menu items at McDonald's, and this is true for any corporate chain restaurant, there is a certain sales threshold that means it will be profitable, and it makes sense to have in the restaurant," Haracz said.

"Once [those] sales dips below a certain level, it does not make financial sense to keep it on the menu, as you will end up throwing away product."

In 1993, McDonald's introduced a grilled chicken sandwich as a healthier menu offering, but it did not stand the test of time.

MCDONALD'S BRINGS BACK POPULAR ITEM FOR SHORT TIME AS ONE STATE GETS A TREAT

The sandwich consisted of a marinated skinless chicken breast filet, lettuce, tomato, sweet red onion, Monterey Jack cheese and a herb sauce, all piled on a bun, according to a 1993 press release about the menu item.

McDonald's unveiled a more natural preparation of its grilled chicken in 2015, announcing on its website that it would be cooked using only canola oil, olive oil, and real spices and herbs.

The chain revamped the sandwich that year, introducing the Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

Ultimately, though, the grilled chicken sandwich lost its spot at McDonald's in 2020, when the chain also removed salads from its U.S. menus, according to Business Insider.

In his role at McDonald's, Haracz formulated new menu items for U.S. locations.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER

People looking for healthier options at McDonald's appreciated the grilled chicken offering — especially parents, Haracz noted, because while their kids might have been excited about eating a Happy Meal, the parents were not as interested.

Like many other menu items, the grilled chicken sandwich was cooked on a flattop and held in the universal holding cabinets (UHCs).

Ultimately, it came down to simple dollars and cents.

Space is valuable at McDonald's, Haracz noted, with each location organized to make every square inch profitable.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE LIFESTYLE NEWS

If an item is taking up space but not making money, it's probably not going to last too long, he said.

Consumer satisfaction played a big role, Haracz said, adding that he thinks the grilled chicken sandwich's flavor profile didn't always wow guests.

"McDonald's also realized once it gets to a point, there may be menu cannibalization, [which] means instead of ordering Chicken McNuggets, I might order the chicken sandwich," Haracz said. "Well, if we take the chicken sandwich away, are they still going to order Chicken McNuggets or other items? Most likely they are."

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

Could the grilled chicken sandwich make a comeback? Haracz thinks it's possible.

"I do think there's a chance it could come back because many chains are dealing with the fact that beef prices are rising, and a way to offset that is to offer a more affordable protein option, which would be chicken," he said.

Haracz said he's not sure if there will be a renaissance of grilled chicken specifically.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"Certainly chicken items, in general, will be more popular, not only because of the beef prices, but also, that is a bigger profit margin if McDonald's develops it appropriately."

Fox News Digital reached out to McDonald's for comment.

The Michigan senate race between Republican candidate Mike Rogers and Democrat Abdul El-Sayed has turned into the marquee matchup of the 2026 midterm, both as a test of the far left’s ability to compete in middle America and as a referendum on President Donald Trump’s leadership. So what will tip the balance?

While many of the basic factors of this contest have already been built in, such as El-Sayed’s disdain for Israel, and Rogers, somewhat qualified, support for the president’s policies, there are a few points emerging that could prove decisive in the final two weeks.

MORNING GLORY: THE POLLS GOT MICHIGAN BADLY WRONG. NOW DEMOCRATS MAY FACE A BIGGER RECKONING

Here are five factors that still could sway who some late deciders vote for, or whether they turn out to vote at all.

1. Temperament

Policy differences aside, Mike Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed are very different people with very different temperaments, and voters Fox News Digital spoke with in Michigan could see, in the same temperamental attributes, either a positive or negative light.

For example, Leon in Detroit, a city employee in his 40s who supported El -Sayed’s opponent Haley Stevens in the primary, said of Abdul, "He just comes off arrogant, like he’s talking down to everybody," but young voters I spoke with in Grand Rapids called this attitude, "confidence," and "assertiveness."

DAVID MARCUS: WHY ABDUL EL-SAYED’S ANTI-BILLIONAIRE SCREEDS MAY NOT PLAY IN GRAND RAPIDS

On the ground, one could almost describe the race as a Thanksgiving dinner in which Rogers is your calm, conservative, wealthy uncle and El-Sayed is the new college boyfriend who keeps talking about how terrible American capitalism is and why the football game on tv is toxic, Michigan voters must choose who they hope will be there next year..

LEE CARTER: 2026 ELECTION COULD ALL COME DOWN TO JUST ONE TYPE OF VOTER

2. Get Out The Vote Campaigns

Back in August, when El-Sayed won a one point victory over Stevens, despite polls showing him up by double digits, it was the aggressive far left ground game, especially in semi urban areas like Dearborn, from groups like the Democratic Socialists of America that saved his bacon.

FOX NEWS POLL: MICHIGAN VOTERS SPLIT BETWEEN EL-SAYED AND ROGERS

As Tiffany Justice, Senior Advisor for Citizen’s Alliance told Fox News Digital, " Michigan elections are won at the margins, and the voters who decide them are working-class conservatives who agree with us but don't have a habit of voting. A TV ad won't get them there. A neighbor knocking on their door, looking them in the eye, and personally inviting them to the polls will."

Rogers claims that the GOP ground game has been improving in the Wolverine State, and he better hope so, in fact the money men on the right might need to shift a bit from ads on screens to faces at screen doors.

TRUMP CAMPAIGN INSIDER REVEALS STRATEGY BEHIND MIDTERM BLITZ THAT WHITE HOUSE HOPES PAYS OFF BIG

3. Donald Trump

You didn’t really think we could leave the president out of this, did you? El-Sayed has dared Trump to campaign with Rogers in Michigan, and Trump has decided to oblige him with a rally set for Sunday, October 25th, just a day after former President Barack Obama will rally with Abdul.

MIKE ROGERS PRESSES CNN'S DANA BASH ON WHY THE PRESS IS 'EAGER' TO DEFEND ABDUL EL-SAYED

Rogers, for his part, has distanced himself from Trump both on the conflict in Iran and on the Canadian tariff war, and notably has done so with no blowback from the commander in chief, a Trump rally will bring out much needed MAGA voters, but could it also alienate independent voters just days before the election.

4. French Riots

El-Sayed’s family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as his past statements in support of it, have become central to this race, even after Abdul’s hand-waving "sort of" disavowal of the group in a testy town hall exchange, and the backdrop to this issue is the pro Islamist riots in France.

COULD FRANCE'S RIOTS HAPPEN HERE? EXPERTS SEE PARALLELS IN SOCIALISM, IMMIGRATION — AND KEY DIFFERENCES

Americans, including voters in Michigan, are increasingly looking towards Europe, with its burning buildings in Limoges and trampling of free speech in London, as a warning of what happens when a nation has untrammeled immigration without assimilation.

LIZ PEEK: TWO TROUBLED SENATE RACES COULD SPOIL DEMOCRATS' BLUE-WAVE FANTASY

If these riots persist and get worse, both Rogers and El-Sayed will have to address them and the undertones will be clear as day to Michigan voters.

5. The Final Debate

On Wednesday, Rogers and El-Sayed will take the stage for their second and final debate, the first having been contentious, but arguably without a knockout blow for either man. The electorate is much more keyed in than it was on October 8th, when they first sparred, making this the biggest chance either side has to attract new votes.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

How aggressive will El-Sayed be, and can he do it without voters like Leon thinking he is condescending? Can Mike Rogers keep his cool, and should he? In a race this close, one viral moment could make all the difference.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

With 2 weeks left to go, the Michigan senate race sits on a knife’s edge, and any of these 5 factors could tip it to one side or to the other.

CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAVID MARCUS

Russia has released Michigan native Stephen Hubbard, a retired teacher sentenced to nearly seven years in prison on mercenary charges, following appeals from President Donald Trump.

Russia has freed a retired U.S. teacher who was locked up on charges of fighting as a mercenary in Ukraine, according to U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff.

The Michigan man, Stephen Hubbard, had been sentenced in 2024 to almost seven years imprisonment.

Prosecutors said he had signed a contract with the Ukrainian military after Russia sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022, and that he fought alongside them until being captured two months later.

"I've been talking to President Putin about Mr. Hubbard. I've been talking to him at length. I've asked him to release him," President Donald Trump had said on Tuesday. "Let's see what happens."

The Associated Press contributed to this report

This is a breaking news story and will be updated

ELI STEELE: California forces companies to mine the past for slavery's sins

The White guilt-Black power symbiosis never had any interest in doing the hard work of developing young minds into individual talents

Editor's note: This op-ed is part of a series by Eli Steele exploring White guilt in America and the West. Steele is the director of the newly released documentary essay, "White Guilt." See the film at WhiteGuiltFilm.com.

I am a native Californian, and I will never get over the absurdity of seeing California and slavery in the same sentence. I believe I saw it for the first time during the height of the Black Lives Matter unrest. I remembered how I learned in my San Jose elementary school that California entered the Union in 1850 as a free state. Yet here we are again, this time with AB 2599, the Truth in Disclosure Act.

On September 30, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the act into law. "This is a bill that requires large companies that operated before 1965 to search their records for ties to slavery going back to 1849, and then we make it public," Newsom said. "These are insurance policies on enslaved people. Human beings used as collateral, quite literally as collateral for loans."

REPARATIONS ACTIVISTS CELEBRATE 'IMPORTANT VICTORY' AFTER NEWSOM SIGNS FIRST-EVER CORPORATE SLAVERY BILL

I first learned about these atrocities as a child, and they made me understand how total the dehumanization of slavery was. This history should be learned, but there is something profoundly different about turning history into a legal obligation, sworn under penalty of perjury. This comes at a time when most California students, including Black students, are underperforming in reading and math. So why does Sacramento want to excavate corporate records from 1849 rather than fix the classrooms today?

I believe the point of this investigation is not to discover more history, since we have historians for that, but to unearth confessions that can be commodified as grievances. To see why, you have to understand that White guilt is transactional.

SMITHSONIAN SCREENING DISPUTE PUTS MUSEUM'S COMMITMENT TO DIVERSE VIEWS ON TRIAL: 'RIGHT KIND OF BLACK?'

When I mention White guilt, many people tell me they feel none. Of course, they don't. You cannot feel guilt for what you have not done. But, that is not White guilt. "White guilt doesn't have anything to do with actual feelings of guilt," my father, Shelby Steele, author, columnist and Hoover Institution senior fellow, says in our new documentary, "White Guilt." White guilt is the collective guilt that says all Whites must carry the sins of the slave masters and segregationists forever.

Activists on the Left have leveraged this accusation for power since the 1960s, and it has produced a terror in many Whites, the terror of being tied to this racist past. Those Whites, especially liberal Whites, want innocence most of all, the ability to say, "I am not like those racist Whites."

ELI STEELE: NYC ICE SHOOTING EXPOSES HOW WHITE GUILT ERASES PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Black leaders understood early on, as my father did in the 1960s, that Whites would do anything out of their deep, existential desire for innocence. That is what gives White guilt its transactional nature.

My father has said that White guilt is "quite literally the same thing as Black power." From Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton to Black Lives Matter, these leaders knew their power was in selling Black victimization. Whites bought innocence with everything from endless programs of dependency to lowered education standards. Both sides of this White guilt — Black power symbiosis get what they want, and that is the trap.

ELI STEELE: THE TERROR OF BEING CALLED RACIST IS CRUSHING FREE SPEECH IN AMERICA

In order to keep the lucrative White guilt grift alive, Black leaders have to keep Blacks locked into permanent victimhood, and Whites have to remain condemned as eternally guilty. As America continues to make racial progress, this symbiosis has moved further left, and further into the past, in search of more grievances.

It was California’s reparations task force that demanded AB 2599. This new law applies to any company doing business in California that takes in more than $100 million a year worldwide and existed in some form by the end of 1964.

Once the legislature funds it, any such company will be legally bound to go through its records, and the records of its parent companies, subsidiaries and predecessors, back to 1849. It must report any findings that the company sold or leased slaves, used them as collateral for loans or insured them. The first filings are due as early as January 15, 2029, and the records will be kept online indefinitely. Every filing will be a confession made under oath, and every confession becomes one more grievance on the public record, available to the activists for as long as the database exists.

Newsom bought his own racial innocence by signing into law the demand that more Black victimization be found. Imagine if Newsom had refused to sign. He would have been blasted as the governor who protected the companies that exploited slaves.

Right there is the very terror that White guilt deploys to kill any reasonable objections. And the corporations on the target list will confess to the sins of their predecessors and buy their innocence with statements of regret and funding for programs and initiatives. None of them will risk the stigmatization that comes with fighting a slavery disclosure law.

REPARATIONS ADVOCATES SLAM CASH COMPENSATION ‘HANDOUT’ LABEL, POINT TO PAST GOVERNMENT REMEDIES

On the same day, Newsom vetoed a bill to exempt reparations payments from state income tax. Where there was no innocence to be gained, he refused to cost his state actual revenue.

On the other side of the bargain are the sellers, and their product is Black victimization. The author of the bill, Democratic Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, told CalMatters which companies he expects to file. "I'm thinking agriculture. I'm thinking banking, insurance. I'm thinking anything in the financial sector." Then he said about what comes next. "Once the public has this disclosure and we have a full accounting of the impact, then it's up to us to decide what that means and what we're going to do about it."

If that last line comes off as a threat, it is because it is. Bryan is telling these companies that once the grievance is documented, lawmakers will set the price of penance. And what this statement also reveals is that this is nothing more than a fishing expedition to find the crime to fuel the White guilt-Black power symbiosis.

CALIFORNIA COUNTY APPROVES REPARATIONS PLAN AS NEIGHBORING SCHOOL DISTRICT 'BLACK THRIVING' EFFORT STALLS

That is why the left will never let the White guilt — Black power symbiosis die out. Kristin Nimmers, policy and campaign manager for the California Black Power Network, told Fox News Digital that "a single check is not going to holistically repair our communities." She wants "a harm-based approach, so whoever was harmed should be entitled to that repair."

The rest of us are chum in this transaction, Black children most of all. California released its new test scores on October 15. Only 33.7% of Black students met the state standard in English. In math, it was 21.5%. Our state is busy chasing the ghost of past crimes while ignoring the very crimes of miseducation taking place today.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

But the White guilt-Black power symbiosis never had any interest in doing the hard work of developing young minds into individual talents. Instead, this symbiosis will wait for the companies to report back on the sins of their predecessors, and then its elites will hold up the evidence as yet more proof that California and America are systemically racist.

The past will be dragged into the present as if no progress had ever been made, the accusation refreshed and sharpened for another generation. And worst of all, the Black children who needed a state that believed in their future will instead be told that the sins in that database, from 1849, are what has been holding them back all along.

CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM ELI STEELE

Gavin Newsom’s legislative minions just got a lesson in constitutional supremacy

The court ruled the 'No Vigilantes Act' violated the Supremacy Clause by regulating federal immigration enforcement

It is no surprise that a unanimous three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit just enjoined the blatantly unconstitutional attempt by the "No-Longer-So-Golden State" to impose restrictions on the ability of ICE and other federal agents to enforce federal immigration law. That panel was doing exactly what federal courts are supposed to do — uphold the U.S. Constitution.

On October 14 in U.S. v. California, the court tossed the so-called "No Vigilantes Act" (NVA) onto the ash heap. This law was part of the state’s continuing effort to obstruct federal immigration enforcement, which has included relentless public attacks by the governor and state officials on federal agents just trying to do their job of enforcing the law. That includes noxious claims like Newsom likening them to the thuggish "secret police" of an "authoritarian" state.

The NVA required any non-uniformed "federal law enforcement officer" operating in California to "visibly display identification" when carrying out federal law enforcement duties. A federal agent violating this requirement could be criminally prosecuted by the state.

FEDERAL JUDGE BLOCKS NEW YORK LAW BANNING ICE AGENTS FROM WEARING MASKS

As the Ninth Circuit pointed out, the Supremacy Clause in Article VI makes the "Constitution, and the Laws of the United States … the Supreme Law of the Land." In other words, federal law not only overrides any state law to the contrary, but it requires what is called "intergovernmental immunity." Under "the intergovernmental immunity component of the Supremacy Clause … states may not directly regulate the Federal Government’s operations or property." The panel cites to a 1996 Ninth Circuit decision, Blackburn v. U.S., on this issue, but then points out that this basic legal principle — that states cannot interfere in federal functions — goes all the way back to one of the most seminal Supreme Court cases in our history, McCulloch v. Maryland (1819). "It is the very essence of Supremacy," said the Court in McCulloch, "to remove all obstacles to its action within its own sphere, and so to modify every power vested in subordinate governments, as to exempt its own operations from their own influence." That is why "States have no power … to retard, impede, burden, or in any manner control the operations of the constitutional laws enacted by Congress to carry into execution the powers vested in the General Government."

California tried to argue that the NVA was constitutional because it did not "substantially burden" federal law enforcement. But the Ninth Circuit shot that down, too, saying any attempt by a state law to directly regulate "the conduct of the United States … is void irrespective of whether the regulated activities are essential to federal functions or operations, and irrespective of the degree to which the state law interferes with such functions or operations."

What made this law even worse was its threat to criminally prosecute federal agents. This is especially ironic because California attempted to do with the NVA what the Supreme Court specifically told the state it couldn’t do 136 years ago in another seminal case, In re Neagle (1890), also cited by the Ninth Circuit panel. That decision reads like a Hollywood movie but also demonstrates just how bizarre state officials have acted in California for a long time, not just in today’s heated political arena.

In re Neagle involved the state of California trying to prosecute a U.S. Marshal for murder. Marshal David Neagle was acting as a bodyguard for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Field, a job the U.S. Marshal’s Service still carries out today. He shot and killed the former chief justice of California’s state supreme court, David Terry, at a railway station in the San Joaquin Valley, after Terry tried to assassinate Field. Terry was known for his violent temper and apparently had a grudge against Field for a court decision involving the prior divorce of Terry’s current wife.

DOJ DEMANDS SANCTUARY STATES END 'BLATANTLY UNLAWFUL' ANTI-ICE POLICY AS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH

The Ninth Circuit quoted the Supreme Court’s opinion in Neagle that even the "most unquestionable and most universally applicable of state laws, such as those concerning murder, will not be allowed to control the conduct a marshal of the United States acting under and in pursuance of the laws of the United States." California couldn’t prosecute a U.S. Marshal then for doing his job, and it cannot criminally prosecute federal agents now who are "acting under and in pursuance of the [immigration] laws of the United States." End of story, end of case, end of unconstitutional state law.

By the way, a second law enacted by California’s constitutionally ignorant legislators, the "No Secret Police Act," was already enjoined by a lower court for the same reason. That law made it a criminal offense for federal agents to wear "a facial covering that conceals or obscures their facial identity." You know, the same agents who have been villainized, doxxed, followed home, harassed, run down by cars, and shot at by thugs who masquerade as protesters.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

As the Ninth Circuit correctly recognized, the lawlessness occurring in California is not limited to thugs. Perhaps some remedial courses on the Constitution for Governor Newsom and the California legislature may be in order.

Trump's MOAB threat could put Iran's deepest bunkers in America's crosshairs

The GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast was first used in Afghanistan in 2017 against an ISIS cave complex

Take President Donald Trump’s threat on the MOAB seriously. The U.S. Air Force’s GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast weapon, nicknamed the "mother of all bombs," could figure prominently in any new airstrike plans targeting Iran.

"The mother of all bombs is not nuclear," Trump said. "This is just an extremely large bomb. It’s like a tiny nuclear bomb, but the mother of all bombs is one big bomb, but it’s not nuclear."

"I wouldn’t use nuclear. We don’t have to," Trump said.

FRESH ACTIVITY EMERGES AT IRAN’S DEEPLY BURIED NUCLEAR SITE AS TRUMP WARNS IRAN NOT TO ‘GET CUTE’

He’s right. The U.S. has a range of precision weapons that can knock out any suspicious target in Iran, including the construction activity at Pickaxe Mountain. Admiral Bradley Cooper, commander, United States Central Command, has detailed knowledge of high-value Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps sites that could be MOAB targets.

President Trump has said he won’t strike Iran prior to the midterms, but clearly he is looking at Central Command’s strike briefing charts in great detail. And he wants Iran to know it.

Here are four reasons the MOAB is a formidable threat.

Trump ordered the first use of a MOAB in Afghanistan in April 2017

The MOAB was dropped on April 13, 2017, on a cave complex in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. "There was no surprise," then-Secretary of Defense James Mattis said of the MOAB. "The battle was going on, and we were going to use what was necessary to break ISIS," he added. Mattis said he wasn’t going to waste time "digging into tunnels to count bodies." CNN reported 94 ISIS fighters killed.

Too big for U.S. bombers

While America’s B-2, B-52 and B-1 bombers can easily carry the weight of the 21,000-lb. MOAB, the problem is the shape. The MOAB used in 2017 was too big to fit on the standard racks and rotary launchers in the bomber weapons bays. For the Afghanistan mission, the MOAB was loaded on a special cradle and slid out of the back ramp of an MC-130 while in flight. Don’t worry about the MC-130s. Yes, the basic C-130 is a cargo plane, but the Special Operations versions like the MC-130 are adapted for clandestine missions. This is also where air dominance over Iran comes in handy. The initial weeks of Operation Epic Fury knocked out Iran’s Russian-built integrated air defenses. Subsequent strikes by CENTCOM have prevented Iran from reconstituting their air defenses. MC-130s on a MOAB mission might also get help with electronic warfare and other attack suppression from the Space Force, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy carrier-based aircraft like the EA-18G, F-35C and E-2D.

MOAB is a precision weapon

The clue is the official designation of GBU-43 which stands for Guided Bomb Unit. Small drogue parachutes stabilize the MOAB upon release and then the satellite-guidance kit guides the bomb to the designated point of impact. MOAB is actually an air burst; earlier, smaller heavy air blast weapons were used in World War II and in Vietnam under the name "daisy-cutter." The theory behind an air burst is to maximize blast effect without muffling by the ground.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

Built for the Iraq war

The MOAB was built in great haste by the Air Force Research Lab just prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. At the time, reports suggested Iraq might have built large underground bunkers for dictator Saddam Hussein’s loyal troops. Saddam Hussein back in 1991 had famously taunted the U.S.-led coalition about engaging in "the mother of all battles," which, of course, turned out to be the airpower-led victory of Operation Desert Storm.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Trump’s decision to bring up the MOAB is all about keeping military pressure on the IRGC as the U.S. naval blockade squeezes their oil revenue. The MOAB would be an intimidation weapon for knocking out military targets. IRGC commanders would face major losses. And it’s also a reminder that the U.S. can carry out any military strike deemed necessary, to prevent Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon and stop their terrorism.

Alabama governor commutes death sentence as doubts emerge about evidence in murder conviction

The prosecution's key witness was paid $5,000 in 2001 for her testimony

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, a Republican, commuted the sentence of a death row inmate on Tuesday after the current Jefferson County district attorney and several former judges and prosecutors raised concerns about his conviction.

The governor said she was commuting Toforest Johnson’s death sentence to life in prison without parole. Johnson, who has long maintained his innocence, was convicted in the 1995 murder of Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff William Hardy. He remains incarcerated at the Holman Correctional Facility.

"When presented with Mr. Johnson’s case, I had concerns there was not enough direct evidence to carry out the most serious punishment, death," Ivey said in a statement. "My decision is not a determination of innocence, but a recognition that the circumstances of this case justify commuting his death sentence to life imprisonment, without possibility of parole."

Ivey has commuted the death sentences of three death row inmates since she became governor in 2017. She has also overseen 27 executions during her tenure, which will end in January because she is term-limited and cannot run for re-election.

GOP GOV DEWINE URGES OHIO TO ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY, SAYS IT IS NO LONGER A DETERRENT

The governor spared his life despite Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall urging her last week to reject the clemency request and "respect the jury's decision" and the rulings of the courts reviewing Johnson's case.

On July 19, 1995, Hardy was shot twice in the head as he was working off-duty security outside a hotel in Birmingham. Johnson said he was on the other side of the city when the shooting happened.

One of Johnson’s attorneys, Ty Alper, said he and his client are grateful to Ivey for "diligently reviewing Toforest’s case and taking action to spare an innocent man from execution," but added that they will continue to fight to overturn the conviction.

"Toforest Johnson is innocent. Now it is up to the courts to overturn his conviction and grant him a new trial. We will keep fighting until he is home with his family," Alper said in a statement.

LAWYERS, EXPERTS URGE TENNESSEE GOVERNOR TO COMMUTE CHRISTA PIKE’S SENTENCE AFTER BOTCHED EXECUTION

Johnson's attorneys have waged a yearslong legal battle to secure a new trial. His push for a new trial has received national attention and attracted widespread support, including from prominent lawyers, such as the original prosecutor in his case, as well as celebrities such as Kim Kardashian.

Several former judges and prosecutors have joined supporters seeking a new trial for Johnson over questions about his conviction. Former Alabama Attorney General Bill Baxley, former Chief Justices of the Alabama Supreme Court Sonny Hornsby and Drayton Nabers and other former judges and prosecutors have submitted briefs or written editorials backing a new trial.

Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr, who was elected in 2018, is among those who have backed Johnson’s call for a new trial. In 2024, Carr wrote in a court filing that the "evidence in this case has unraveled over 20 years."

Carr said that credible alibi witnesses placed Johnson in another area at the time of the shooting. He also said there are multiple reasons to doubt the key prosecution witness, who "claimed she overheard Johnson confess to the murder on a three-way phone call on which she was eavesdropping."

LONGEST-SERVING US PRISONER DIES AT 101 AFTER ESCAPING DEATH PENALTY 8 TIMES

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

The woman testified during Johnson's 1998 trial that she was eavesdropping on a phone call when she heard a man she believed was Johnson admitting to the shooting.

She received a $5,000 reward in 2001 for her assistance in the case.

Johnson’s lawyers said that the state withheld evidence of monetary incentive for her testimony.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

University president sounds alarm as nearly half of students justify violence to stop 'hate speech'

Cornerstone University President Gerson Moreno-Riaño says colleges are preparing 'socialists and Marxists'

A new survey found that close to half of undergraduate students surveyed believe physical violence can be justified to stop "hate speech," as one university president warns that higher education has "lost its way."

In the Buckley Institute's 2026 National Undergraduate Student Survey, 45% of students said violence can be justified to stop what they deem to be hate speech. This includes 54% of liberals, 36% of moderates and 30% of conservatives.

The study also found that 46% of students support shout downs and 40% believe that offensive speech should be subject to criminal prosecution. Additionally, 42% said they would rather live under a socialist system, compared with 28% who chose a capitalist system, and 22% said the U.S. deserved the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Cornerstone University President Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño characterized the findings as more of a "moral formation issue" than a matter of free speech, warning that students have developed a "violent entitlement."

CONFIDENCE IN HIGHER EDUCATION SLIPS AFTER BRIEF RECOVERY, GALLUP POLL FINDS

"American colleges and universities for a long time now have really ceased to form students morally and are teaching resentment, teaching grievance politics, teaching violent entitlement," he told Fox News Digital. "So, when graduates leave these universities, they leave with that. They're not leaving with a moral formation of their hearts, their minds, their lives. They're leaving with resentment."

Moreno-Riaño said that entitlement and resentment are among the reasons why many employers are concerned about the value of a degree.

"It's not just what some will say are worthless degrees. It's also what's behind the degree. Individuals who have been taught to resent, not to reason, not to deliberate, not to have deep conversations with those with whom they disagree," he said.

"Rather, it's grievance, anger, violence, entitlement, and then violent action against it. And that to me is a significant problem. Again, not a free speech issue. It's really about how moral education in higher ed has lost its way. We're training people to be grieved, angry, entitled, violent. And that does not bode well for our democracy and our republic," he continued.

Moreno-Riaño, who has led the private Christian university in Grand Rapids, Michigan, since 2021, emphasized that higher ed has "lost its way" in the U.S. for decades and has become "godless."

"When there is no moral compass in higher ed, there's a vacuum, and what fills it? Ideologies, communism, socialism, grievance, culture. That's what's happened, and it's been happening for years," he said. "Not only that, there's an anti-history bent in higher ed. When you think about today's young students not really knowing the evils of communism, the evils of socialism and believing it's inspirational, that demonstrates just the moral bankruptcy, but also the academic bankruptcy of these institutions."

Moreno-Riaño argued that some employers may increasingly question the value of hiring college graduates and instead consider training workers directly out of high school.

Moreno-Riaño argued that employers are increasingly concerned about "worthless degrees" that do not prepare the workforce to tackle complicated problems, as well as the ideological bent of many recent college graduates. He warned that many colleges and universities are preparing "socialists and Marxists" who want entitlement and to "destroy the system" rather than "build it, make it, refine it and improve it."

"I think what's happening is that employers are seeing this and many employers are saying, maybe we should train our own people, or maybe we should go into the high schools directly and educate the future at the high school level and forget colleges altogether, because colleges are morally bankrupting our future," Moreno-Riaño said.

FOX NEWS POLL: FAITH IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE US IS COLLAPSING

"I think that's what's happening. And if you combine that with artificial intelligence, you have sharp minds without a moral compass. That's a very dangerous thing because a sharp mind without a moral compass is a weapon looking for a target," he continued.

"For a democracy, we need individuals who can reason, who can deliberate, who can speak with those with whom they disagree and not seek violent action against them, but think deeply about what they're saying, reconsider positions, pursue what is good and with courage. If we don't do that, then we're in trouble. And I think the workplace and employers are seeing that and want to shift that in a different direction," he added.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Moreno-Riaño stressed that American higher education "has to shift," saying it needs to "take moral formation seriously and not be grounded in entitlement and grievance culture."

The Buckley Institute survey, conducted by Inquire LLC, included 803 full-time undergraduate students under age 25 attending four-year public or private colleges and universities. Respondents completed the online survey between Sept. 5 and Sept. 14.

DHS launches nationwide ICE operation targeting illegal immigrants accused of SNAP food stamp fraud

ICE confirmed multiple arrests including Haitian and Cuban nationals accused of fraudulently receiving benefits

EXCLUSIVE: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched a nationwide operation targeting illegal immigrants accused of fraudulently obtaining benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), resulting in multiple arrests, Fox News has learned.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed the operation to Fox News, announcing several arrests of illegal immigrants accused of fraudulently receiving SNAP benefits.

"Illegal aliens who have no right to be here in the first place are the last people who should be using SNAP benefits and other forms of welfare," Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in a statement.

"These programs are for Americans only," he continued. "Even non-violent illegal alien crime can still have devastating consequences when they’re defrauding the American taxpayer."

TRUMP ADMIN’S FRAUD CRACKDOWN TARGETS FOREIGNERS ACCUSED OF INFILTRATING US FEDERAL PROGRAMS

Mullin said those already apprehended and deported by federal authorities represented "just a drop in the bucket," adding that the Trump administration would continue pursuing individuals accused of fraud.

DHS identified several illegal immigrants accused of SNAP fraud, including multiple Haitian nationals.

According to federal officials, Rubstony Junior Theodore, a Haitian national living illegally in the United States, was arrested by ICE as part of the operation. Theodore's criminal history includes arrests for larceny, obstruction of officers and trespassing, DHS said.

Three other Haitian nationals living illegally in the United States — Wilbert Jean Baptiste, Louis Jean and Jhensly Charles — were also arrested, according to DHS.

ICE PREPARES MAJOR OPERATION TARGETING HAITIANS LOSING TPS AFTER SUPREME COURT RULING

Elizabeth Povea Rodriguez, a Cuban national living illegally in the United States who was previously convicted of disorderly conduct and arrested on battery and domestic violence allegations, was also arrested, according to DHS.

"These arrests mark the opening salvo in a sustained, large-scale ICE operation specifically targeting illegal aliens who have fraudulently accessed SNAP benefits that American taxpayers fund exclusively for U.S. citizens in need," DHS said.

"Every one of these individuals entered the country unlawfully, then proceeded to draw from a program designed to feed struggling American families, in some cases while carrying criminal records," the agency continued.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Federal law generally bars immigrants living in the country illegally from receiving SNAP benefits, although certain categories of lawfully present noncitizens may qualify for the program.

DHS said the Trump administration would continue targeting alleged SNAP fraud as part of a broader crackdown on misuse of federal benefits.

Oregon star's DUI arrest casts shadow over Duck's latest win as Dan Lanning promises 'appropriate action'

Stewart was booked into Springfield Municipal Jail early Sunday following the Ducks' 17-14 win over Nebraska

Dan Lanning said he was still gathering information about Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart’s arrest but the fifth-year Ducks' head coach vowed to take what he described as "appropriate action" once he had all the necessary details.

"There will be an appropriate action taken. Still gathering some details with what that situation looks like," Lanning said.

He added that the situation would be dealt with internally. "But that would be handled internally. I’m not gonna respond to any other questions about that. We’re gonna handle that with our guys."

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 7 SCHEDULE: TOP GAMES, TV CHANNELS, STREAMING, PREVIEWS

Stewart was taken into custody early Sunday on charges of driving under the influence, hours after the Ducks rallied to defeat Nebraska on Saturday night. He was booked into the Springfield Municipal Jail, according to police records.

Lanning said the incident was unfortunate because it cast a shadow on the Ducks’ win.

Stewart did not play in the game against the Cornhuskers because of an undisclosed injury.
Titans release defensive tackle Jordan Elliott days after picking up first win of NFL season

Elliott followed Robert Saleh from the 49ers and had played in all five games this season before his surprising release

The first few weeks of the NFL season brought more lows than highs for the Tennessee Titans.

But Week 6 provided one of the team’s rare bright spots, as the Titans rallied for a 26-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, their first win of the season.

The celebratory mood at the Titans’ Nashville headquarters was likely short-lived, however, after the team made a surprising move involving one of its defensive linemen.

On Tuesday, the Titans announced they had released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott, citing an unspecified "incident" at the team’s facility.

TITANS CEO APOLOGIZES TO BELEAGUERED FANBASE AFTER DREADFUL START TO THE SEASON: 'WE'RE SORRY'

Elliott played under then-San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh the past two seasons before following Saleh to Tennessee, where he is now the Titans’ head coach. Elliott appeared in five games this season with the Titans, recording 11 total tackles.

In a statement, the Titans said the incident happened last Thursday.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter."

Details surrounding the incident were not immediately available.

Elsewhere on the Titans’ roster, defensive back Alontae Taylor did not suit up due to what was described as a coach’s decision. Saleh also did not provide details about Taylor’s status.

Taylor played nearly every defensive snap during the Titans’ first five games of the season. He signed a three-year, $58 million contract with Tennessee in March and had recorded 19 tackles and one sack through those five matchups.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

The Titans return to Nissan Stadium this week to host the AFC North-leading Cleveland Browns.

Lane Kiffin is already getting his excuses ready for LSU's disappointing regular season

The first-year LSU coach opposed the SEC's nine-game conference schedule, saying the math guarantees more losses

Find yourself something or someone you love as much as Lane Kiffin loves making excuses for things that haven't even happened yet.

Kiffin's first season as head coach of the LSU Tigers has been a bit of a roller coaster. They've at times looked dominant, like the opening weekend demolition of Clemson, then struggled in a loss to what should have been an overmatched Kentucky team. The loss at Ole Miss, in a highly charged, emotional return to Oxford was understandable on the face of it, and yet was exactly the type of game Kiffin was hired to win.

Now, with two losses in the first seven games, LSU still has a tough schedule remaining. The Tigers have upcoming games against Auburn on the road this weekend, a home game against Alabama, followed by Texas in Baton Rouge, a road game against Tennessee, and a season-ending trip to Arkansas. For a program that entered the season with aspirations of reaching the College Football Playoff, Kiffin needs to win out to feel good about finishing in playoff position.

LANE KIFFIN IS ALREADY SOMEHOW BLAMING THE SEC'S NEW CONFERENCE SCHEDULE FOR LSU'S INJURIES

And he's already got his excuses ready for if they don't.

In a news conference this week, Kiffin explained to reporters that he opposed the SEC's new nine-game conference schedule, and detailed how the math guarantees the SEC an additional eight in-conference losses.

"And they kinda said when it was proposed, they said, 'Well, okay, you're going to take on eight more losses. I mean, that's going to be real, there's no way of changing the math, that's going to happen. So you see that, I think somebody said there's two SEC teams in the top-10 right now, and I said before it started, I said, 'Take away the first SEC game that you play because that's going to be brand new, the ninth one came early and got added and replaced an early win, you know where's that going to put you?'

"Look at this team [Auburn Tigers], if you took away their first SEC loss, and it was just a win versus a Group of Six team, they'd be a top-10 team right now. They'd have one loss, on the road at Tennessee to a really good team. And somehow now, because of adding an extra game, they're not even ranked and they just beat the number one team in the country."

He concluded the answer, "It's just where football is, and they can't see like they do in basketball or baseball, metrics, so it is what it is."

The reason Auburn isn't ranked is because they don't deserve to be, win over Georgia or not. And the reason the SEC has just two teams in the top 10 is because they keep losing. When asked a follow-up, whether there were any positives to the nine-game schedule, Kiffin was short: "No."

"You're ... just seeing teams with more losses, more beat up. And there's so much into it more than just the losses. You know, it's at a time when because of it, I'm not complaining, I'm saying what it is, because of the [transfer] portal that you can leave every year and NIL, you see players going from teams for more money, and they go to another team in conference.

"And that's fine, it is what it is, but at the same time that you see that, that it's so hard for teams to build depth after their top players ... don't add more conference games. Because now you've got what you got."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

The problem with all of this is that it is exactly the argument other conferences were making when the SEC had the advantage of an eight-game schedule. You had programs that scheduled themselves four free non-conference wins, found themselves ranked because of their record, then provided "ranked" wins and losses in SEC play. That was a tremendous boon for the entire perceived strength of the conference and helped create the "depth" argument.

Now that the advantage has been removed, Kiffin is rushing to complain about it. Yes, the SEC is going to have eight extra losses this year, and it's going to show up in the standings and the polls. Just like it does for everyone else.

One other important point from his argument is that we don't have "metrics" in college football like we do in basketball or baseball. And he's right, there are no official NET ratings like there are in basketball. But we do have "metrics" in college football, they just don't always tell the story Kiffin and others like to tell.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

According to ESPN's SP+ rankings, which evaluate team efficiency on offense, defense and special teams while adjusting for competition, the Big Ten has nine teams in the top 30, compared with seven for the SEC. Turns out, this season at least, the Big Ten's "depth" is better than the SEC. Seems unlikely that Kiffin would be adamant that the Big Ten's nine-game conference schedule is dragging down their results.

That Auburn team he referenced? They're No. 42. Because they're not actually at the level of a ranked team, it's just that the gaps between the best and the mediocre is smaller than it's ever been. Texas A&M is No. 33, Oklahoma No. 34, Florida No. 38, and Mississippi State No. 48. Yes, the SEC is getting a lot of benefit of the doubt when it comes to human poll voters relative to objective metrics.

Speaking of that preferential treatment, it's obvious when looking at just wins and losses too.

SIGN UP FOR THE DAILY OUTKICK NEWSLETTER

There are currently five teams from the SEC ranked despite having two losses. There isn't a single two-loss team in the top 25 poll that isn't from the SEC. That's correct; not one other conference has a ranked team with two losses. Just the SEC. They're already getting rewarded for their schedules, even if the "depth" in this year's SEC is not as strong as it's perceived to be.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

Don't worry though, Kiffin will still find something to complain about.

'Pod Save America' hosts warn El-Sayed to tone down 'condescension' on Muslim Brotherhood questions

Jon Favreau says Michigan Senate candidate must address concerns without alienating voters who aren't Islamophobic

Former Obama staffers who host the "Pod Save America" podcast debated Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s handling of a recent question about his family’s alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

While Tommy Vietor and his co-hosts sympathized with El-Sayed over questions they considered "bigoted," Jon Favreau warned that El-Sayed must keep in mind that he is speaking not just to the questioner, but also to voters who may be concerned about the Muslim Brotherhood itself.

Concerns about alleged ties between El-Sayed's family and the Muslim Brotherhood emerged after the Washington Free Beacon reported on social media posts in which El-Sayed's half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi, described her family's history with the organization, including her and El-Sayed's mother.

At an October 17 town hall, El-Sayed bristled when an audience member asked whether he would disavow the Muslim Brotherhood. After disavowing the organization, El-Sayed turned the scrutiny back on the audience member, saying, "You’re asking the question because, implicitly, you assume that I’ll have dual loyalties, right? You assume that I wouldn’t disavow, or that I'll have some higher order allegiance than to the Constitution, correct? Tommy, is that what you imply?"

'THE VIEW' CO-HOSTS DEFEND EL-SAYED COMPARING HIMSELF TO JFK OVER MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD SCRUTINY

Favreau criticized Republican attempts to tie El-Sayed to the organization through his family connections, but argued that the GOP was using the issue to sway voters.

"It's somewhat smarter for them to throw out the Muslim Brotherhood thing because it's like, ‘This is a new piece of information that people might have no idea what the Muslim Brotherhood is,’" he said, appearing to frame the tactical mindset of Republican operatives. "'Sounds pretty scary, doesn't it? Terrorist organization. Maybe you don't know the history of the Muslim Brotherhood. Maybe it's got foreign ties to Egypt and he, you know, his family, his family's from Egypt.'"

"So, to respond to that, as bulls--- as it is, and of course, he like knocked it down. But you've got to forget about the a--hole asking you the question," Favreau continued. "You've got to give the answer as if someone who might have a question about a Muslim Brotherhood tie is not necessarily like totally Islamophobic and like that kid or like Trump or like Mike Rogers, but like might have a question, and you don't want — and you don't want to condescend to that person or be like, ‘No, you're an a--hole for asking.’ Right?"

"And I'm not saying he did," he added. "I thought it was a good — I thought he could have used like 20% less condescension in the answer."

Vietor agreed that El-Sayed’s tone could have been better, and replied, "There’s a slightly more empathetic version of that."

Fellow co-host Jon Lovett said, "Stop fighting with that guy and speak to the people that are not."

ABDUL EL-SAYED INVOKES JFK TO DISMISS 'CRAZY' QUESTIONS OVER FAMILY'S ALLEGED TIES TO MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD

Favreau recalled his experience working for former President Barack Obama and said that, regardless of whether a characterization of a candidate's statements is fair, candidates and public officials have to be careful about rhetoric and tone when speaking to voters.

"You can say this from the cheap seats, because I am sure when you are Abdul, and you're going around doing this and there are people who are f---ing just calling into question your loyalty to your country that you love, it must f---ing infuriate you," Favreau said. "And it's not fair that what he has to do in response is to eat s--- and just give a nice answer with a smile."

"But like we were there when Barack Obama had to do it, and you know Zohran Mamdani had to do it and like, unfortunately, there's a double standard, and it's unfair, but you still have to do it to win an election anyway and it f---ing sucks," he added.

Fox News Digital reached out to El-Sayed's campaign for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE

Jesse Arm, vice president of external affairs at the Manhattan Institute and a former pollster who has followed the Michigan Senate race, suggested El-Sayed's confrontational demeanor may be a key reason he is not doing as well against his Republican opponent as the Democratic gubernatorial nominee is doing in her race in Michigan.

"The ‘Pod Save America’ guys are partisan hacks who bend over backward to excuse El-Sayed’s radicalism and dismiss legitimate scrutiny as bigotry. But even they recognize that his nastiness and condescension are deeply off-putting," Arm told Fox News Digital.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"And if even his most sympathetic defenders can see it, imagine how he comes across to ordinary Michigan voters," he added. "This is a big part of the reason he’s poised to dramatically underperform the state’s Democratic gubernatorial nominee."

NFL's top doctor defends Philadelphia Eagles handling of Jalen Hurts blood clots but NFLPA has different story

The union says the league told it there would be no review of the medical care Hurts received for his blood clots

The NFL made multiple officials available to reporters Tuesday during its fall league meeting to say that it was satisfied with how the Philadelphia Eagles handled quarterback Jalen Hurts' care related to his blood clots and to criticize reports that drew incorrect conclusions about what happened.

And, ready for this?

Then the NFL Players Association released a statement on the matter on Tuesday evening saying something quite different.

That NFLPA statement criticized the league for drawing conclusions about how the situation was handled and added that the union was told by the league it would not review the care Hurts received.

NFL CLEARS PHILADELPHIA EAGLES OF WRONGDOING IN HANDLING OF JALEN HURTS BLOOD CLOT SITUATION

That last part calls into question how the NFL can defend how the Eagles handled the matter, because how could that assessment be made lacking a thorough review?

So, rather than allaying concerns and moving on from the Jalen Hurts blood clot matter, we actually have a new mystery and more questions.

"I'll just sum it up by saying that I have complete confidence in the Eagles medical staff and their handling of this situation and what characterize their work as very conservative, very patient-focused and appropriately guarded at every step," said Dr. Allen Sills, the NFL's chief medical officer.

Sills said that in a typical season, the league has been "in the low single digits" of players that suffered deep vein thrombosis like Hurts did over the course of the past decade and this:

EAGLES QUARTERBACK JALEN HURTS RULED OUT OF SUNDAY'S GAME 'OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION' DUE TO BLOOD CLOT

"Every case gets reviewed and looked at," he said.

Sills later added that in the Hurts case, "everyone was incredibly conservative and incredibly vigilant and was very quick to make diagnoses of these conditions that might not have been diagnosed in a non-athlete.

"Quite frankly, you or I might have walked around with this condition without a diagnosis."

Sills said that all the timing and decision-making on when tests were performed and conclusions reached came with "state-of-the-art imaging that was done in London and as far as the timing and the decision-making ...

"I have great confidence in that and believe everyone acted with an abundance of caution and with a tremendous high degree of suspicion to try to identify and take care of these things as quickly as possible."

Sills then repeated that the NFL has a committee that looks at all these cases and does so with the Players Association to see what can be learned.

There's more: Jeff Miller, the NFL executive vice president of communications, public affairs and policy, was asked if there was an investigation into what the Eagles did or whether the league simply trusted what the Eagles said happened.

"Both talking to the Eagles staff and making sure from people on the ground, tracking the case, talking to the independent hospital and doctors involved that we have, I think, a complete understanding of the course of events," Miller said.

Taken in total, this represents a full-throated defense of the Philadelphia Eagles, their medical staff, and the doctors in London that treated Hurts.

And that sounded convincing until the NFLPA released its statement.

"The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts," the statement provided to OutKick and Fox News Digital reads. "In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received."

Wait, what?

That contradicts what an NFL vice president and the league's top doctor said. Because, how could the NFL be so confident about the care Hurts received and the decisions that were made without a review or investigation into the facts?

ZERO BS.
Woman sues popular Texas taco chain for $250K after allegedly finding cow tooth in meal, restaurant confirms

Nohemi Castillo claims she nearly swallowed the tooth while eating takeout from the Austin's South Congress location

Taco 'bout biting off more than you can chew.

A Texas woman's lunch took an unexpectedly toothsome turn when she allegedly discovered a cow tooth in her taco, prompting a lawsuit against popular restaurant chain Torchy's Tacos over a bizarre ingredient the company has since confirmed was the real deal.

Nohemi Castillo claims she nearly swallowed the tooth while eating takeout from the chain's South Congress Avenue location in Austin on June 9, according to a lawsuit independently obtained by Fox News Digital and filed Oct. 13 in Travis County District Court.

ROACHES CAUGHT CRAWLING ACROSS POPULAR STEAKHOUSE'S KITCHEN FLOOR IN VIRAL EMPLOYEE VIDEO

The order included the chain's "Democrat" tacos, according to the complaint, although a cow tooth was certainly not among the advertised ingredients.

Torchy's Tacos confirmed the unusual discovery in a statement to Austin TV station KVUE, saying its own investigation determined that the object was a cow tooth.

"Upon receiving the guest complaint, we conducted a thorough review and identified the item as a cow tooth," the company said. "This can occasionally happen when processing the meat, though it is quite rare."

The restaurant explained that its barbacoa comes from natural beef cheek sourced from a supplier, adding that it has taken steps to prevent similar incidents.

FDA WIDENS CYCLOSPORA OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION TO SIX MORE STATES AS CONFIRMED CASES TOP 6,000

"We have partnered with our supplier to reinforce their internal procedures to prevent this from happening in the future," Torchy's said.

Castillo's attorney, Scott Vasquez, told Fox News Digital that the company did not acknowledge to him that the object was a cow tooth until the story attracted local media attention in October, roughly four months after the incident.

Vasquez provided Fox News Digital with additional photographs showing the tooth beside a tape measure, offering a closer look at the sizable object Castillo claims she nearly swallowed.

Another photograph included in the court filing shows the object resting on aluminum foil beside what appears to be taco meat.

A witness statement provided by Castillo's attorney describes the moment an ordinary lunch with a colleague took an unpleasant turn.

THREE WENDY'S EMPLOYEES ALLEGEDLY TOOK FOOD FROM TRASH, SPAT ON IT BEFORE SERVING UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

"As we were eating, I heard an ‘awww!’ When I turned to Nohemi, I saw her pulling something out of her mouth, she said, 'I think it's a bone,'" the witness wrote.

The colleague described Castillo examining the object while holding her left cheek before concluding that it appeared to be a tooth.

According to the lawsuit, Castillo was disgusted and sickened by the discovery and visited a doctor later that evening, where she received prescriptions.

The complaint alleges that she incurred medical expenses and experienced physical pain, mental anguish and other damages.

Castillo is suing Torchy's Tacos and Success Foods Management Group, which does business as Torchy's Tacos, alleging that the defendants failed to properly prepare, inspect and distribute the food before selling it to customers.

The lawsuit further alleges that Torchy's failed to adequately monitor its meat supplier and breached implied warranties that food sold to consumers is fit for consumption. It also alleges violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and federal food safety requirements.

Castillo contends that she would not have purchased the meal, or would have examined it more closely, had she known about the alleged defect.

She is seeking monetary relief of $250,000 or less, with any final award to be determined by a jury.

Vasquez also told Fox News Digital that he has become aware of other individuals reporting similar experiences with Torchy's since the story received attention, although those accounts have not been independently verified.

The attorney characterized the company's earlier responses as providing limited information while shifting blame and responsibility to others.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Torchy's, meanwhile, maintains that it took the complaint seriously and conducted a thorough review.

"We are aware of the situation and take all concerns about our food seriously," the company told KVUE.

Torchy's did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Florida puts 77-year-old man to death for deputy's murder as state closes in on execution record

More than 100 military veterans had appealed to Ron DeSantis to halt William Reaves' lethal injection

A 77-year-old Florida man was executed on Tuesday for killing a sheriff's deputy more than 40 years ago, marking the Sunshine State's 18th execution of the year as Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis continues an accelerated pace of executions.

William Reaves was pronounced dead at 6:12 p.m. at Florida State Prison near Starke following a three-drug injection. He was convicted of first-degree murder in connection with the September 1986 shooting death of Indian River County sheriff's deputy Richard Raczkoski.

Reaves said he did not have any last words.

About 30 seconds after the injection began, Reaves took several big breaths and then stopped moving. A few minutes later, the team warden shook Reaves’ shoulders and shouted his name, but the man gave no response. A medic checked for a heartbeat or other signs of life, and Reaves was pronounced dead about a minute later.

FLORIDA EXECUTES INMATE WHO KILLED CELLMATE BECAUSE HE WANTED DEATH PENALTY

Raczkoski's brother, Marc, told reporters after witnessing the execution that his brother finally received justice, while Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers said that he viewed the execution as closure rather than justice.

"Would we all be so lucky to be 77 years old and to die so peacefully," Flowers said at a press conference. "That’s not justice in any way, in my opinion."

On Sept. 23, 1986, Raczkoski responded to a 911 call that Reaves had made from a payphone at a Vero Beach convenience store, according to court records.

After the deputy arrived at the scene and the two men began talking, a gun fell out of Reaves’ pants, officials said. The two men struggled over the weapon before Reaves eventually regained control of it.

Raczkoski was attempting to run away when Reaves shot him four times, according to investigators. He died from his wounds later that day.

Reaves was convicted and sentenced to death about a year after the shooting. The Florida Supreme Court later overturned the conviction due to a conflict of interest with the prosecutor and ordered a new trial. After the second trial, Reaves was again convicted and sentenced to death, and subsequent appeals were unsuccessful.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied Reaves’ request for a stay of execution and petition asking the court to review his case without comment on Tuesday.

TWO FLORIDA INMATES DIE IN RARE DOUBLE EXECUTION AFTER SCOTUS DENIES STAYS

The state Supreme Court also rejected Reaves’ appeals last week that sought to halt the execution.

His attorneys challenged Florida’s three-drug lethal injection protocol. Executions in the state are carried out through the injection of a sedative, a paralytic and a drug that stops the heart, according to the Department of Corrections. The court has previously upheld the protocol against similar challenges.

Florida's method is different from the single-drug injection used in states like Tennessee, where death row inmate Christa Pike survived two doses of pentobarbital and was rushed to the hospital last month. Pike has since been released from the hospital and returned to prison.

Reaves' attorneys also argued that jurors who recommended the death penalty were never made aware that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs had rated the Army veteran as 100% disabled because of post-traumatic stress disorder linked to his service in the Vietnam War.

More than 100 military veterans appealed to DeSantis in a letter on Monday to halt the execution, pointing to those factors.

Reaves was the eighth Florida prisoner over age 70 put to death this year.

Florida has accelerated its pace of executions amid a flurry of death warrants signed by DeSantis since 2025. The governor oversaw a state record 19 executions last year, more than any other Florida governor in a single year since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976, accounting for approximately 40% of the U.S. total of 47 executions for 2025.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Florida would tie last year's record if Jesse Guardado, 64, is put to death as scheduled on Nov. 5 for robbing and killing a woman to buy drugs in 2004.

Florida has carried out more than half of the 32 total executions in the country so far this year, including Reaves.

In July, Florida executed two prisoners in one day, the first time a state has done so in nearly a decade.

DeSantis has said he wants justice for victims’ families who have often waited decades for death sentences to be carried out.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Prince Harry says ‘most important thing is to reconcile’ with royal family

The Duke of Sussex told GQ he wants to move past years of estrangement from King Charles III and Prince William

Prince Harry is ready to put the past behind him as he makes a renewed plea for reconciliation with the royal family.

During a video interview with GQ that was conducted by the magazine's host Zach Baron in September and released Tuesday, the 42-year-old Duke of Sussex was asked whether he grieved his complicated relationships with his father King Charles III, 77, and his brother Prince William, 44.

"Yes, of course," Harry said. "I think from a family perspective — again, another massively relatable issue for so many people — sibling disagreements, broken relationships between kids and their parents, kids and one parent. That continues to come up with me the whole time with people that I speak to, so I know how relatable it is."

PRINCE HARRY RISKS 'LOBBING A GRENADE' AT PRINCE WILLIAM AS CHANCE TO HEAL YEARS-LONG FEUD EMERGES: EXPERT

"Some people maybe look at us and go, ‘How are you gonna work it out? Maybe that will help me work my stuff out,'" he continued.

"Some people don't want it to work out," Harry added. "I want it to work out. With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile — that's the key point."

PRINCE WILLIAM'S ABSENCE SPEAKS VOLUMES AS KING CHARLES REUNITES WITH PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE: EXPERTS

Baron went on to ask Harry if he believes the family "wound" can be repaired to which Harry replied, "Scars stick around forever."

"But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past," he said. "That's something that I would encourage everybody to do: If there's certain things from the past that are still affecting you every day, that's harder to let go of."

"But, for me, there's enough drama in the world and enough drama in people's lives to continue with issues with family," Harry added.

Following the interview's release, Harry's comment that "some people don't want it to work out" sparked speculation that he was referring to William. A spokesperson later clarified Harry's remark, telling People magazine that his comment "was absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family."

PRINCE WILLIAM ‘INCANDESCENT WITH ANGER’ AT PRINCE HARRY AS DIANA ANNIVERSARY DEEPENS ROYAL RIFT: PIERS MORGAN

"The comment was made in a general context and was not directed at his family in any way," Harry's representative added.

Harry's relationship with his family has been strained for years. Rumors of a rift between the brothers began to swirl in 2018 after Harry married former "Suits" star Meghan Markle. Harry publicly acknowledged problems in his relationship with William in October 2019, telling ITV that although they would "always be brothers," they were on "different paths" and don't see each other as often as they did in the past.

PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON 'PLAYING IT COOL' AS PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE RETURN TO THE UK: EXPERT

Tensions escalated further after Harry and Markle stepped back as senior working royals in January 2020 and relocated to Canada before settling in California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex later aired grievances against the royal family in their bombshell 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. During the television special, Harry and Markle alleged a lack of support from the institution and accused an unnamed royal family member of racism.

Harry also opened up about his strained relationships with Charles and William, though he shared his hopes that those could be repaired. He admitted that he felt "really let down" by Charles and revealed that his father had stopped taking his calls as the Sussexes prepared to step down from their royal roles.

PRINCE HARRY'S SECURITY FIGHT THREATENS HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED REUNION WITH KING CHARLES: EXPERT

However, Harry said he would "always love" his father and vowed to "make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship."

Harry addressed his rift with William, saying he loved his brother "to bits" but said again that they were on "different paths." At the time, he described their relationship as "space" while expressing hope that "time heals all things."

PRINCE WILLIAM ‘BLINDSIDED’ BY HARRY, MEGHAN RETURN AS KATE FEARS NEW TURMOIL FROM ROYAL FEUD: EXPERTS

A year later, the couple's relationship with the royal family deteriorated further with the release of their Netflix series "Harry & Meghan." In the series, Harry accused the royal institution of leaking and planting stories and further detailed the breakdown in his relationship with his family.

The rift deepened following the January 2023 publication of Harry's memoir, "Spare," in which he detailed private disputes with his father and brother and alleged that William physically attacked him during a 2019 argument over Markle. Buckingham Palace declined to respond publicly to Harry's allegations.

PRINCE HARRY, MEGHAN MARKLE’S UK MOVE PUTS FRESH SPOTLIGHT ON THEIR EXPLOSIVE CLAIMS AGAINST ROYAL FAMILY

However, Harry has continued to express his desire to reconcile with his family. In a January 2023 interview with ITV while promoting "Spare," Harry said, "Forgiveness is 100% a possibility because I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back."

"At the moment, I don't recognize them, as much as they probably don't recognize me," he added.

At the time, Harry said that reconciliation would only be possible under one condition.

"Though I would like to have reconciliation, I would like accountability," he said. "I've managed to make peace over this time with a lot of things that have happened. But that doesn't mean that I'm just gonna let it go."

Harry's latest remarks echo comments he made last year when he publicly called for an end to his long-running feud with the royal family. During an interview with the BBC in May 2025, Harry's rhetoric shifted noticeably after losing his legal challenge over his security in the United Kingdom.

"I would love reconciliation with my family," he said. "There’s no point in continuing to fight any more. Life is precious."

"I don’t know how much longer my father has," Harry added.

In February 2024, Charles was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer, and he continues receiving ongoing medical treatment.

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

At the time, Harry told the outlet that he was not in touch with Charles, claiming, "He won't speak to me because of this security stuff."

The Duke of Sussex also indicated that he had forgiven his family for many of their past disagreements. Harry said there were "things that have happened that I can now forgive" and that he had "moved past that."

Harry specifically said he could forgive the involvement of his father, brother and stepmother, Queen Camilla, though he maintained that he was still struggling to forgive the decision over his security arrangements in the U.K. He also acknowledged that some members of the royal family might "never forgive" him for writing "Spare," or for "lots of things."

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? The Sussexes’ desire to reconnect with Charles and other members of the royal family has been reported as one of the reasons behind their move.

PUT YOUR ENTERTAINMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST AND SEE HOW YOU SCORE

There appears to have been a significant improvement in the relationship between Harry and his father. In September 2025, the two met privately, marking their first face-to-face meeting in more than a year. In July 2026, Harry, Markle, Archie and Lilibet traveled to the U.K where they reunited with Charles and Camilla at Highgrove House. It was the king's first meeting with his daughter-in-law and grandchildren in roughly four years. Harry and Charles have also reportedly remained in communication since the Sussexes' return to the U.K.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

However, Harry and William reportedly remain estranged, with no direct contact between the brothers despite the Duke of Sussex's calls for reconciliation. William has largely remained silent about the brothers' estrangement and has not publicly expressed a desire to repair their relationship.

Honduran illegal immigrant charged with assaulting ICE officers with hammer during New Jersey traffic stop

Reinieri De Jesus Licona Amador faces up to 20 years in prison after the Oct. 4 confrontation in Gibbsboro

A Honduran national who federal authorities say was unlawfully present in the United States allegedly climbed onto his truck and repeatedly swung a hammer at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers during a traffic stop in New Jersey this month, federal prosecutors said.

Reinieri De Jesus Licona Amador, 27, was charged with assaulting federal officers and appeared Monday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth A. Pascal in Camden federal court, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey.

"Federal officers put themselves in harm’s way to enforce the law and protect the public," U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer said in a statement.

"When an individual responds to a traffic stop by attacking an officer with a hammer, that conduct threatens not only the officer’s safety but the rule of law itself," he continued. "We will not allow violent attacks on federal officers to go unanswered and will hold those responsible accountable under the law."

EXCLUSIVE: DHS SECRETARY MULLIN SLAMS SANCTUARY POLITICIANS AS ATTACKS ON ICE OFFICERS SKYROCKET

Federal prosecutors said the incident began during a targeted ICE operation in Gibbsboro, when officers ran a license plate check on a truck traveling through the area.

According to the criminal complaint, the vehicle was registered to Licona Amador, and a search of immigration records indicated he lacked lawful status in the United States.

Officers then activated their emergency lights and pulled over Licona Amador's truck, prosecutors said.

ILLEGAL ALIEN ON THE RUN AFTER ALLEGEDLY RAMMING ICE VEHICLE IN PENNSYLVANIA, PROMPTING AGENT TO FIRE WEAPON

According to the complaint, as officers approached the truck, they saw Licona Amador reach into a tool container in the back seat and pick up a hammer.

Prosecutors said officers ordered Licona Amador to stop moving, but he refused to comply, prompting them to open the vehicle door and attempt to remove him from the truck.

He allegedly pulled away from the officers and moved to the passenger side of the truck, where they again tried unsuccessfully to restrain him.

Licona Amador then climbed out of the passenger side of the truck while holding the hammer, ignoring officers' repeated commands, according to the complaint.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SUSPECTED OF GANG TIES ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY RAMMING ICE OFFICER

He allegedly climbed onto the passenger-side door and repeatedly swung the hammer at officers, prosecutors said.

Officers then deployed oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray, commonly known as pepper spray, and wrestled Licona Amador to the ground, prosecutors said.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

He was arrested without injury and faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of assaulting federal officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon.

Americans who moved to Europe after Trump win now say they regret leaving

Expats said they found healthcare, bureaucracy, and cultural hostility far worse than expected

Liberal Americans who fled to Europe after President Donald Trump's re-election shared how the grass is not always greener on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Wired Magazine released an article Thursday headlined "They Fled Trump’s America. Now They Regret It," speaking directly to those who sought "political refuge in the wake of Trump’s second term," but have since voiced frustration with Europe’s lower quality of life, the rise of right-wing politics in those countries, and a newfound appreciation for the cultural norms and niceties of American life.

One account, from a woman nicknamed "Annie," said she was sold the idea of an idyllic U.K. life on social media, "But the reality of life in the U.K. was dramatically different to what she’d imagined."

"There are huge misconceptions about access to quality healthcare, standard of living… the quality of life is significantly lower than in the U.S.," she told the magazine, citing challenges ranging from their healthcare system to a significantly lower disposable income. "Things in the U.K. that are considered luxury items are very common" in America, like a dishwasher and dryer, she told Wired.

FRENCH AI CEO WARNS AMERICANS AGAINST VOTING DEMOCRAT, SAYING 'YOU DON'T WANT TO BE FRANCE'

Annie told the outlet that despite believing she'd have free healthcare under the NHS, she now pays "huge amounts of taxes and an immigration surcharge" to access the national healthcare services.

"So no, the health care is not free here," she said.

Annie was also surprised by the amount of anti-American hostility she experienced and cultural differences in the workplace.

"I found it particularly surprising how people feel so comfortable mocking my accent and culture, even in a workplace environment," she said. "The U.K. is very much a place of ‘it is what it is,’ but as Americans we are taught to always improve and strive for better things."

"I thought that ‘British politeness’ existed as it does in movies," Annie added, "but unfortunately, the reality is that present-day British culture is very individualistic, as well as without the sense of charity and helpfulness that many parts of American culture value."

WORLD CUP SOCCER FANS ARE DISCOVERING AMERICA’S GREATNESS. IT’S TIME AMERICANS DID, TOO

Sarah Wood González, a journalist and consultant, made similar comments about learning to appreciate the American mindset and work culture once she was in a different environment.

"Something I had taken for granted is the American outgoingness and default to action, where the question is ‘how can we collaborate?’" she said. "Generally speaking, I also found that the American work style, for better or for worse, moves much faster and can get to a yes or no in less time."

"Finding work was so hard, and the endless bureaucracy had grown worse since I’d left," Josh, who moved to Germany, told Wired. "I missed the friendlier people, freedom of speech, and ease of daily life" in the United States, he said. He added of German daily life, "If you aren’t born and raised there, and don’t look German, you’ll never be fully accepted."

Josh told the magazine he moved back to the U.S. recently and is much happier. He admitted he may have "overreacted" by fleeing to Europe.

Many Americans who shared their regrets on social media were berated by fellow liberals for wanting to move back to "evil" America, the article also said.

"These posts are usually met with a huge amount of backlash. Commenters are quick to imply that the poster must be right-wing and privileged, in for a nasty shock if they did return home," Wired Magazine summarized. "Ironically, many times, they parrot the right-wing notion that they probably aren’t trying hard enough to assimilate into their new country. When one person recently said they badly missed their community of friends in a 'blue city in a blue state' and were considering moving back, the majority of top comments agreed the user was 'insane.'"

Daniel Di Martino, a Manhattan Institute fellow and economist who was born in Venezuela, spoke to Fox News Digital about how some misguided Americans tend to have unrealistic notions about European life.

"Things aren’t always great in Europe, but Europe is not one thing. Living in Greece, making the average salary of a Greek person, would be considered near poverty level in America. Living in Denmark, like an average Dane, is definitely fine, but they still earn much less than the average American," he said. "Some aspects of quality of life in European countries are definitely better: Lower crime, better food. But on the basic reality of how much someone earns, Americans would be worse off moving to Europe."

He concluded, "The reason for this is simple: It is very hard to fire workers, so getting a job in the first place is difficult. And in most European countries other than Switzerland and the Baltics, taxes are very high for low and middle-income workers to pay for so-called universal healthcare and pensions for a larger elderly population."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Theo Wold, a former White House deputy assistant for domestic policy in Trump’s first term, also spoke about how American liberals fail to understand that the very European socialism they romanticize would undo the qualities that make America great.

"American liberals want to import European socialist ideas and wave after wave of third world immigrants into the U.S., but it turns out that in real life, socialism and mass immigration produce countries that are poorer, less productive, and less enjoyable to call home," he said. "American liberals who moved to Europe are experiencing that firsthand. Every American voter who thinks they want single-payer healthcare should have to spend a few months on an NHS waitlist or look for housing in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin: the European malaise is a real wake-up call."

Stranger in Biden mask pulls bizarre Texas doorstep stunt as police issue warning

A homeowner reported suspicious activity after doorbell camera video showed the masked visitor eating a banana

A visitor wearing a Joe Biden mask turned a Texas homeowner’s doorstep into the setting for a bizarre banana snack, prompting a police response and a warning that pranks can lead to dangerous confrontations.

Doorbell camera video shows the unidentified person approaching a Watauga home wearing a mask resembling the former president and what appears to be a "FREEDOM" T-shirt similar to those associated with Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA.

The person runs their fingers over the camera twice, then eats a banana through the mask before walking away.

NAKED DOORDASH DRIVER DELIVERS FOOD TO TEXAS HOME IN SHOCKING SECURITY CAMERA VIDEO

Watauga police told Fox News Digital that officers responded to a suspicious activity report at approximately 8:05 p.m. Oct. 18. After reviewing the homeowner’s video at the scene, officers found no evidence of a crime.

A search of the surrounding neighborhood turned up no sign of the masked visitor.

MASKED HELMETED PROWLER STALKS MASSACHUSETTS MANSION BEFORE SLIPPING INTO WOODS IN WEALTHY TOWN: ‘IT’S CREEPY’

The department said it is aware of social media posts describing similar sightings, but no additional reports involving the person have been made directly to police. Officers have not identified any related incidents.

While the doorstep appearance did not result in criminal charges, police cautioned that behavior intended to get a laugh could have serious consequences.

COPS FLUSH HOMECOMING PRANK PLANS AFTER SEIZING 650 TOILET PAPER ROLLS IN ‘OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP’

"The department also reminds the public that behavior perceived as threatening can lead to dangerous confrontations, potentially resulting in serious injury," police told Fox News Digital.

Authorities urged residents to call police about concerning behavior instead of confronting individuals themselves.

"We also encourage everyone to exercise good judgment and recognize that behavior intended as a joke or prank can sometimes cause unnecessary concern for others," the department said.

The visitor’s identity and reason for the masked appearance remain unknown. Police said their assessment has not changed.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"Based on the available information, our assessment remains unchanged: officers found no evidence that a criminal offense occurred."

Royce White exploring legal avenues after WNBA tells Congress he is ineligible to play

Former NBA player says he will 'explore every legal avenue' after Cathy Engelbert told Congress he is a man

Former NBA player Royce White says he plans to explore legal avenues against the WNBA after Commissioner Cathy Engelbert told Congress that he and Enes Kanter Freedom are ineligible to play because they are men.

White told OutKick that Engelbert’s response does not resolve his challenge to the league’s eligibility standards, calling on the WNBA to explain how it defines men and women.

"We plan to explore every legal avenue possible to hold the WNBA and NBA community to their stated standards and values," White said.

FORMER NBA PLAYER ROYCE WHITE SAYS HE IS DECLARING FOR NEXT WNBA DRAFT AFTER ENES KANTER ANNOUNCEMENT

Asked whether Engelbert’s letter had officially triggered a previously discussed discrimination lawsuit, White said he could not discuss particulars. He did not announce a filing or provide a timetable for taking legal action.

The dispute centers on White’s and Freedom’s efforts to enter the 2027 WNBA draft after declaring that they identify as women. During the interview, White agreed when asked whether his declaration was "for basketball purposes."

In an Oct. 16 letter responding to Republican lawmakers, Engelbert stated the league’s position directly.

"With respect to your questions regarding eligibility, only women are eligible to play in the WNBA and the individuals you cite in your letter are both men," Engelbert wrote.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

The response followed a Sept. 17 inquiry from Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., and four Republican colleagues asking how the WNBA defines "women" under its collective bargaining agreement and why White and Freedom had been deemed ineligible. The lawmakers requested answers by Oct. 16.

The agreement states that "only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA," but does not specify language concerning gender identity or sex assigned at birth, Front Office Sports reported in August.

Engelbert’s response did not supply a definition of "women" or explain the criteria used to classify White and Freedom as men.

White said that distinction remains central to his challenge.

"No, we’re not letting them off that easy," he said when asked whether Engelbert’s statement represented a step in the right direction.

"She has to define, and the WNBA has to define, what a man and a woman is and why."

White also called for NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to address the dispute.

ENES FREEDOM RIPS CHERYL REEVE FOR SAYING WOMEN'S SPORTS ADVOCATES 'DON’T WANT TRANSGENDER PEOPLE TO EXIST'

"I’d like Adam Silver and the NBA to weigh in," he said.

The league had already rejected the two former NBA players’ eligibility through statements attributed to league sources in August.

ROYCE WHITE SHOWS UP TO INDIANA FEVER GAME IN BLONDE WIG AMID WNBA DRAFT PURSUIT

White described himself as a longtime fan of women’s basketball, saying he grew up watching older female relatives play sports and learned from local girls’ basketball players.

"I’m a fan of the WNBA. I think the women have come a long way," White said. "I’d love to see it not as politicized as it is, because I think it takes away from the beauty of the game."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

White added that he has been watching the WNBA Finals and is considering attending games, although he declined to identify which ones, citing security concerns.

"I have my eyes on a few games for sure, and I’ve been watching," he said, describing himself as "scoping the competition."

Roseanne Barr challenges Hollywood to give her another shot after controversial 'Roseanne' exit

The comedian is now shopping a self-financed sitcom called 'Meemaw' about a prepper matriarch in Texas

Eight years after she was fired from her hit reboot of "Roseanne," Roseanne Barr is looking for a second chance.

The 73-year-old has self-financed a new show called "Meemaw: A Modern Day Fable."

Barr told The Hollywood Reporter this week that she's shopping the sitcom to "Anybody who wants a number one show and is smart enough to take a number one show."

ETHAN HAWKE BLASTS HOLLYWOOD'S 'GREEDY BASTARDS,' PREDICTS MASSIVE REBELLION AGAINST POWERFUL ELITES

"I don’t know why they don’t want a number one show and why they hate a number one show and why they would destroy a number one show," she said of Hollywood. "But if they do want a number one show, I got it."

The "Roseanne" reboot was a huge hit with tens of millions of viewers each week, and it finished its first season as the number one primetime sitcom in the 18-49 demographic, according to Variety.

ROSEANNE BARR CALLS FORMER CO-STAR A 'BRAINWASHED BIGOT' AFTER HE SAID REBOOT WAS 'RIGHTFULLY CANCELED'

She’s also pitched "Meemaw" to Elon Musk but without success.

"I don’t know why he hasn’t called me or returned my calls," she admitted of the trillionaire. "I mean, of all people on earth, I’m the one he should call, but I don’t know."

HOW ELON MUSK GOT BACK IN TRUMP'S ORBIT AFTER NUCLEAR FALLOUT, INSIDERS REVEAL: 'WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE'

"Meemaw" is about the matriarch of a mixed-race family in Texas who are preppers, which she describes as "Somebody who’s prepared of the end of the world."

It’s partially based on her life.

"I’m a prepper. I live in Texas. Everybody’s a prepper here," she said.

The show also stars Drea de Matteo, Omar Gooding and Randy Quaid who plays Barr’s love interest.

JOHN GOODMAN ADMITS HE FELT 'FRIGHTENED' AFTER THE SUDDEN FAME HE EXPERIENCED FROM 'ROSEANNE'

"I’m in love with him and I wish he would leave his wife and marry me," she joked. "I enjoyed making out with him so much that I wrote extra scenes where we would make out."

Barr said she hasn’t shown the sitcom to anyone yet.

"But it is so funny," she said. "It’s the funniest s--- I’ve ever done, and I had a ball and I play a really wacky old lady this time."

On her firing from the reboot, Barr insists she didn’t intend her infamous tweet about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett to be racist.

ELI STEELE: THE TERROR OF BEING CALLED RACIST IS CRUSHING FREE SPEECH IN AMERICA

"It was not a racist tweet," she said. "It wasn’t about race, it was about politics. What it really was a three-month conversation between myself and journalists in Iran who were talking about attacks mostly on Iranian women in the streets."

After the tweet, she apologized, and she claimed ABC gave her a choice of signing off on the rights to the show so it could continue as "The Conners" or it would be canceled and everyone would lose their jobs.

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

"ABC demanded that they would only make [the show] if I were not [in it]. And they called me and said, ‘You have a choice to make: You can sign off on letting us do a show without you [or everyone is out of a job.]’" she claimed.

She continued, "The only thing that mattered to me at the time is I said, ‘I want you to say I’m not a racist and that you know I’m not a racist and that my whole life has been about fighting racism and that you know it.’"

"And [Werner] said, "I will do that once you sign away your rights.
