Social media star Hannah Barron, aka the "Catfish Girl," has been on OutKick's radar for a long, long time. She appeared in "America’s Best Daily Internet Column" before it was a daily column.

Her catfish noodling skills earned her recognition before I ever wrote a single word for OutKick. She wasn't known to the internet as the "Catfish Girl" back then. It was well before Lane Kiffin attempted to recruit her.

Last month, she announced, in addition to creating some of the best outdoor content on the internet across multiple social media platforms, that she was adding slinging merchandise including bikinis to her resume.

It has proven to be a wise business move on the part of the Alabama native. She's already sold out of some of the sizes of her bikinis.

California inmate who spent 45 years on death row for murdering pregnant wife dies

A California prison inmate condemned to death for the 1979 slaying of his pregnant wife, who was killed days before she was expected to give birth, has died after spending more than 45 years on death row.

Jerry T. Bunyard died on July 10 at the California State Prison, Sacramento, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) said. He was 76.

"At 4:44 p.m., Bunyard was pronounced deceased at an outside medical facility by medical staff," the CDCR said in a news release. "The Sacramento County Coroner will determine his official cause of death."

Bunyard was convicted of first-degree murder for the killing of his wife, Elaine Bunyard, and her unborn child. She was found dead on Nov. 1, 1979, in the garage of the San Joaquin County home she shared with her husband and their 7-year-old daughter.

Elaine Bunyard died from a massive shotgun blast to the head, and the fetus died from a lack of oxygen moments later, according to court records. Investigators said Bunyard had hired a childhood friend, Erwin Popham, to commit the murders.

Popham, a drifter, small-time criminal, and frequent drug user, lived with the Bunyard family intermittently. Eventually, Bunyard asked Popham to kill his wife, believing she had gotten pregnant by another man.

Bunyard had offered his wife a $50,000 settlement for a divorce, but she refused, court records state. He also wanted to clear the way to be with his new girlfriend.

Popham initially declined to commit the murder, but the pair eventually settled on a $1,000 fee to be paid within a week of the slaying, followed by additional money once Bunyard received the proceeds of his wife's life insurance policy.

The murder was supposed to be staged as a suicide.

Popham attacked Elaine Bunyard as she was washing dishes in her kitchen, repeatedly striking her on the head with frying pans. He then dragged her unconscious body to the garage and placed her in a chair. Once she was seated, Popham propped Bunyard's pump shotgun under Elaine's chin and pulled the trigger.

Half of her face was blown off, prosecutors said. Given the extreme amount of blood at the scene, Popham abandoned the suicide staging and decided to make the killing look like a robbery instead.

He then drove to Bunyard’s construction job in Patterson and told him "it was done," according to the California Supreme Court’s review of the evidence.

Currently, 567 California prison inmates are on death row, according to the CDCR. However, in 2019, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order instituting a moratorium on the death penalty in California, granting a temporary reprieve to all individuals sentenced to death.

Christopher Nolan sparks fresh backlash after calling 'The Odyssey' criticism 'irrelevant'

Christopher Nolan has spoken out about the backlash he's received over his upcoming adaptation of "The Odyssey," and his critics aren't happy.

"Comes with the territory," he told The Telegraph. The outlet described him as "grinning serenely" before "lifting his cup and saucer and taking a theatrical sip."

Nolan added, "But look, these conversations that happen before people see the film — they’re always irrelevant, because no one having them knows what the film actually is yet."

Many people don't view their issues with the film as "irrelevant," nor do they seem to believe one needs to see it before criticizing it.

One of the most common problems with the upcoming movie is in its casting choices — Lupita Nyong'o plays Helen of Troy, although critics argue her darker complexion contradicts the character's description in Homer's original epic, and Elliot Page, known for his short, slight build, plays Sinon, a Greek soldier.

The trailer has also gotten a negative response, with viewers calling out the modern language in the ancient Greek setting, as well as the lack of Greek actors.

Nolan told The Telegraph that the reception so far for "The Odyssey" is similar to the concerns he faced while working on his "Batman" trilogy, explaining that when he started with "Batman Begins," a variety of artists had been creating and depicting the character for decades, "and a lot of freighted thoughts were out there about what he represents."

"And what I learned over my time on that trilogy," he continued, "is you can’t worry about any of that at all. What you have to do is honor the original text by interpreting it in the strongest way you personally can."

The director said, "In the end, fans of the property — even when we were doing something that was not what they would have done — enjoyed the sincerity of the attempt to put as good a version of it on screen as we could," adding that he hopes audiences can reach a similar conclusion with "The Odyssey."

"All I can do is make the best film I possibly can in the most sincere way. It’s very different from how anyone else would do it, but that’s what adaptation is," Nolan said.

While the Oscar-winning filmmaker believes that the movie's current criticism isn't worth considering, his new interview has garnered plenty of attention on its own.

"We don’t need to see the film," one person wrote on X. "We know you bowed to the forces that say you must hire based on skin color or protected class to win awards. Hire based on merit, not DEI bulls---."

"It is insane to think that some people think you'd have to experience a disaster to know it's a disaster or a disaster in the making," another person said.

Another X user joked, "Since conservatives are irrelevant, I guess Nolan is counting on every single leftist paying to see this movie 3 times so they can break even."

"We know it’s historically inaccurate, mistranslated, & had alternative motives to the original script… Why?" one person asked. "Bc you already confessed that much. So no, not irrelevant. Honest reaction to someone butchering a classic."

Others have argued that Nolan had a point in his interview, with one user writing, "While I don't agree with some of the casting decisions, it's a 3 hour piece of art that none of us have watched yet. watch the film and then form an opinion."

Another referenced Nolan's "The Dark Knight," arguing, "People forgot how furious fans were when he cast Heath Ledger as the Joker. The internet literally rioted, saying a romance actor would ruin the franchise. Nolan trusts his vision over noise because he's proven them wrong before. Who remembers the 2006 forums?"

Trump revives his decades-old Iran warning as US ramps up military pressure: 'remarkably consistent'

President Donald Trump resurfaced decades-old comments on Iran Tuesday, sharing a 1980 interview clip in which he argued America needed to project strength during the hostage crisis.

"When you get the respect of the other countries, then the other countries tend to do a little bit as you do … and then you create the right attitudes," Trump said in the resurfaced clip during an interview with reporter Rona Barrett about the Iranian hostage crisis.

When asked during the interview whether the U.S. should send troops into Iran during the hostage crisis, the then-real estate mogul didn't hesitate. Trump shared the clip on Truth Social on Tuesday.

"I absolutely feel that, yes," Trump responded. "I don't think there's any question."

The clip has been circulating on social media amid escalating tensions with Iran after the U.S. resumed strikes following the collapse of a ceasefire agreement. Trump reposted the video on Truth Social on Tuesday.

Trump was discussing the Iran Hostage Crisis, during which Iranian militants seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days.

"The Iranian situation is case in point that they hold our hostages is just absolutely and totally ridiculous that this country sits back and allows a country such as Iran to hold our hostages, to my way of thinking is a horror," he added.

Trump said Monday that Tehran’s military capabilities have been badly weakened and warned of continued "major attacks."

"If we didn't do it, they would have had a nuclear weapon. If they had a nuclear weapon, Israel would no longer be with us. The Middle East probably would no longer be with us," Trump said.

While answering questions from reporters Monday, Trump said his administration has taken a tougher stance with Iran than previous administrations.

San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini had whatever the opposite of a sophomore slump is. After dropping 63 points in his rookie season, the 20-year-old threw down a wildly impressive 115 points (46G, 70A).

It was an impressive tally that helped him earn a spot on the Team Canada roster at the 2026 Olympics, where the team took silver — people forget the Canadians lost to Team USA (alright, no one forgets; I just like to bring it up) — and that has earned Celebrini another honor.

EA Sports has revealed that he'll grace the cover of "NHL 27," officially making him the youngest player ever to get the nod.

I was surprised to hear that Celebrini was the youngest to appear on a cover, and if you think about it, it's super impressive.

There have been some great players who hit the ground running in the NHL, but were a bit older than Celebrini when they landed a cover. Alex Ovechkin landed "NHL 07" while Connor McDavid was on "NHL 18," for instance. Both were young, but not as young as Celebrini.

Sen. Mitch McConnell's disclosure of new details about the medical issues that have kept him away from the Senate has sparked fresh scrutiny on Capitol Hill, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., questioning whether his prolonged absence is "legal at this point" even as Republicans insist he'll return when the Senate needs him.

"How is everyone pretending this is normal?" Ocasio-Cortez said to Fox News Digital. "This is not normal. At all."

"How is it that we have sitting elected members of Congress going missing for months at a time?"

MITCH MCCONNELL BREAKS SILENCE ON MYSTERY HOSPITALIZATION AFTER GRAHAM'S DEATH

The Kentucky senator broke his silence on his previously undisclosed medical conditions that have kept him absent from the Senate since he was first hospitalized on June 14. He posted to social media claiming that his childhood fight with polio contributed to the fall that left him "briefly unconscious" and hospitalized last month, and then was hit with a "mild case of pneumonia" in the midst of his recovery.

"Leader McConnell is tough as nails," Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., said. "This guy survived polio. For days on end, he went through therapy. People have no idea how tough he is. "

McConnell's silence fueled online speculation about his condition, with unsubstantiated rumors ranging from cardiac arrest to claims that he had died.

"When you're not very forthcoming with a lot of information, whether it's personal or professional information, you do leave the conclusion up to conspiracy theorists," Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., said. "And people's imagination is far greater than reality almost every time."

Even after McConnell released his statement on his medical absence, including a photo of him with his wife in the hospital, rumors circulated about the senator, claiming he could be in a vegetative state.

MCCONNELL FACES FRESH CALLS TO COME CLEAN ABOUT HEALTH ISSUES

The statement also did not address specifically when McConnell would return to the Senate, only stating that he would not "be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet."

But Republican senators seemed confident that McConnell would return to the Senate floor for key votes, with Cramer even claiming GOP leaders have been in "regular" contact with him throughout his absence.

"Enough of our leadership have regular conversations with him for me to be comfortable," Cramer said.

"I don't have any doubt if there was a vote for a Supreme Court justice tomorrow that he'd find a way to be here for that," Marshall said. "I think he'll be here when we need him, and I just would never count him out. He'll be back."

McConnell, 84, is set to retire next year at the end of his term, but has promised he will be "finishing the job" he was elected to do until then.

"I think that Mitch McConnell has always been exactly who he is right now," Cramer said.

But now I have fully moved on from the World Cup as I prepare to head out tomorrow for my annual pilgrimage to visit the in-laws in the Great White North.

My husband, our dog and I will also be spending a few days on the Minnesota North Shore. Thank you, by the way, to everyone who sent me recommendations last week. We now have a full itinerary of restaurants, breweries, dog-friendly patios, hiking trails and scenic spots to check out.

Now I'm in that annoying phase of pre-travel preparation where I'm trying to get everything done that I swore I wasn't going to put off until the last minute.

This happens every single time. I really should stop lying to myself and just accept my fate.

I do, however, have the car ready. Anticipating my husband's comments about my lack of basic vehicle maintenance (I'm literally just a girl), I got the Denali aired up, washed up, gassed up, oil changed and detailed.

Why was the detailing necessary, you ask? Because this:

Yep. I bought Rocky a pup cup on Friday as a reward for being a perfect angel at his nail trimming appointment. Apparently he had used up all his perfect angel behavior, though, because he launched for the pup cup and splattered it all over my console.

I spent a good chunk of time meticulously scraping whipped cream from cracks and crevices, and — considering my car doesn't smell like rotten hot dairy — I think I did a pretty good job.

Anyway, enough of my griping about my problems. I'll gripe about something else instead. Let's do some Nightcaps.

The Home Run Derby was last night. Not that you would know it since they put it behind a Netflix paywall.

Just kidding, I think just about everyone has a Netflix account at this point. But still, did I watch one single second of the 2026 Home Run Derby?

I did not.

Do you know who did watch, though? Livvy Dunne.

I mean sure, her pitcher boyfriend Paul Skenes isn't out there launching dingers, but a girl's gotta get her Miller Lite sponsorship money where she can. And if that means serving as a celebrity bartender for a photo op, then so be it.

But Livvy. My sister in Christ. We have to talk about this pour.

Criminal. Straight to jail. Do not pass "Go" and do not collect $200.

I know some Pervy McPervert out there is formulating a joke like, "That's OK, I'll take lots of head from Livvy Dunne."

"Head" is another term for foam at the top of a beer, by the way.

But I'm gonna stop you right there. There is simply no reason to desecrate a Miller Lite like this. That's my late Grandma Helen's favorite beer, and she would never stand for it.

If you're not familiar with Hannah Barron, you're about to be.

She went viral a couple years back for her noodling skills, and she's now become a full-on fishing, fitness and outdoors influencer with nearly two million Instagram followers.

What is noodling? I am so glad you asked.

Hannah doesn't just noodle, though. She also bowfishes. And yesterday she shared a snap of a longnose gar she landed from a paddleboard.

That's a good day, Hannah.

Look, I get plenty of emails. Most are from very nice people responding to my column or sending me pictures and videos of cool dogs. Some are from miserable folks who want to tell me how bad I suck at writing and how wrong I am in each and every one of my opinions.

And then some... just baffle me.

Because I cannot, for the life of me, figure out when I accused Dana White of being a woman. I asked Brian to clarify, but he never responded.

So if anyone can point to a specific instance where I even remotely insinuated that I didn't know the gender of the UFC CEO, please send it my way.

Heroic husky saves kid from a bear

I'm always worried about hiking in bear country with my dog. My husband assures me that our German Shepherd might actually scare a bear away. But I worry it would do the opposite — like provoking an aggressive reaction.

Fortunately for this family, the dog did exactly what the dog should do: protect.

I fear Rocky might just try to be friends with the bear.

I mean, I don't really know her music particularly well, although when I hear her music I sometimes like it. But I know many people who love her and her music, yet somehow that wasn't enough.

Seriously, though, I do admire her ability to run a multibillion-dollar organization, and apparently treat her people very well at the same time. I'm sure she has management and staff that do the day-to-day, but she does the heavy lifting remarkably well. I'm impressed with that. And her business acumen.

But funny story about dog plushies. Last year I lost my soul dog, Lucy — my baby of 16 years. (That's not the funny part). After she died, my husband bought me a custom plushie of Lucy. It looks just like her and is almost the same size as her, too.

I posted a picture of it on my Instagram story and got a ton of strange responses — mostly from friends who seemed confused and concerned.

It later came to my attention that people thought I had TAXIDERMIED my dog!

I guess that's a testament to the company that made the plushie. It's THAT realistic.

Look, no judgment. Taxidermy your dog or cremate or bury or whatever feels right in your heart. But just so we're clear, the stuffed dog now chilling in my bedroom has never been alive. Just a stuffed animal.

Oh and back to the Taylor Travis wedding... we reported last week that Taylor Lewan and Will Compton were pretty sore about not getting an invite.

Judge unloads $176K penalty on Murdaugh podcaster Mandy Matney after finding subpoena defiance

A South Carolina judge found Alex Murdaugh crime reporter and podcaster Mandy Matney in civil contempt and ordered her to pay $171,500 in attorneys' fees and costs, plus a $5,000 fine, after concluding she willfully refused to comply with a subpoena in litigation tied to the Murdaugh family.

In a 22-page order filed Monday, Circuit Judge R. Keith Kelly concluded Matney deliberately disregarded a valid subpoena and prior court order requiring her to appear for a deposition, rejecting her claim that safety concerns justified her refusal.

The contempt finding stems from long-running civil litigation arising from the 2019 boat crash that killed Mallory Beach. Parker's convenience stores are among the defendants accused of selling alcohol to underage Paul Murdaugh before the fatal crash, and Matney was subpoenaed as a non-party witness.

Beach, 19, was killed in the February 2019 crash in Beaufort County. Paul Murdaugh was later charged with boating under the influence, but those charges were dismissed after he and his mother, Maggie Murdaugh, were fatally shot at the family's Colleton County hunting estate in June 2021.

The Beach family's civil lawsuit against members of the Murdaugh family and Parker's alleges the convenience store chain illegally sold alcohol to the underage Paul Murdaugh before the crash. The litigation ultimately helped expose Alex Murdaugh's finances as investigators uncovered the disgraced attorney's financial crimes.

Kelly wrote that Matney refused to appear at the Bluffton deposition site on March 27 despite acknowledging she understood the court had denied her efforts to quash the subpoena and ordered the deposition to proceed. Instead, she remained at another law office in Bluffton while Parker's attorneys waited at the noticed location.

"Based upon the foregoing, there is clear and convincing evidence that Ms. Matney's failure to appear was not the result of confusion, mistake, or inability, but rather was a deliberate decision to disregard the subpoena and the Court's March 16, 2026 Order requiring that she be deposed within 14 days," Kelly wrote.

Kelly also found Matney's explanation that she feared for her safety was not credible, writing there was "no persuasive evidence" supporting her allegations that Parker's attorneys were trying to harass her or place her in danger.

Kelly pointed to Matney's social media posts after the aborted deposition, including photos showing her eating lemon pound cake with attorney Mark Tinsley and later dining in Savannah. The judge wrote the posts "evidence her intent to defy her obligation to appear at the noticed deposition location."

Parker's attorneys originally sought more than $310,000 in fees and costs, but Kelly reduced the award by nearly 45%, ordering Matney to pay $171,500, plus a $5,000 fine.

The court awarded $39,900 to Bannister, Wyatt and Stalvey, LLC; $45,950 to Deborah B. Barbier, LLC; and $85,650 to Maynard Nexsen, PC.

Matney criticized the ruling Monday in a Facebook post.

"I'm not angry that Judge R Keith Kelly found me in contempt of court. I'm angry that he's ordering me to pay an unprecedented amount of legal fees ($171,000 + $5,000 in fines)," she wrote.

"The South Carolina Justice system is exactly what I've been saying all along — CORRUPT," she added. "And this is my punishment for calling it like it is."

Kelly wrote there was "no persuasive evidence" supporting Matney's repeated allegations that Parker's attorneys were using the deposition process to harass or bully her.

He also concluded the contempt proceedings resulted from Matney's own conduct, writing that had she appeared for her deposition or accepted one of several alternate locations offered, "she would not be before the Court on a contempt motion."

Justice Amy Coney Barrett told the House Appropriations Committee the uptick in threats waged against her and fellow Supreme Court justices have taken a toll on her children.

"They have required my children to think about and see things that children should not have to see or think about," Barrett testified Tuesday.

Barrett shared how her security detail gave her a bulletproof vest to wear, and one day when she brought it into her bedroom, her 12-year-old son asked what it was.

"And I didn't know how to respond because maybe I lack imagination, but I didn't expect that performing this service was going to put me in the position of explaining to my children what a bulletproof vest was and why I had to wear one," Barrett told the committee.

Barrett and Justice Elena Kagan's testimony before Congress came as the Supreme Court seeks a 10% budget increase for fiscal year 2027, with roughly $16.6 million of the $20.7 million increase dedicated to expanding security for the justices.

Barrett, who was the target of a swatting incident in May, recounted how her and her family's lives drastically changed following the leaked Dobbs decision in 2022, which ruled that abortion was not a constitutional right, causing threats on her life to intensify.

In that incident, someone falsely reported gunshots at her home, Barrett testified, saying her teenage son and his friends were the first to discover the street filled with police.

"I was very, very grateful that I had Supreme Court police outside my home because they were able to stop and meet with and explain to the county police that it had been a false alarm, and so the police did not actually attempt to enter our home," Barrett said.

She also shared that her and other justices are receiving anonymous packages being sent in the name of Daniel Anderl, the 20-year-old son of U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas, who was killed in 2020.

The gunman was an attorney posing as a delivery driver. Judge Salas was his target. Salas' husband was seriously injured as well.

"I think the message on these deliveries being sent in his name is clear," Barrett said. "As Justice Kagan said, federal judges across the country, throughout the judiciary, including the Supreme Court, continue to do their jobs without fear or favor, but the threat level is really high."

The testimony underscored the urgency behind the Supreme Court's push for more security funding during its first appearance before Congress since 2019.

In total, the Supreme Court is requesting roughly $89 million to cover personal security costs, which Kagan said is necessary given that the justices have experienced a 35% increase in threats just in 2026, compared to a 25% increase in threats the year prior. Kagan noted how recent growth in the budget can be entirely attributed to security expenses.

"For some of us, those threats have come very close, and all of us live with the knowledge that they may again materialize," Kagan testified.

She recalled that when she arrived at the Supreme Court in 2010, justices did not receive around-the-clock personal protection. Instead, the court's police primarily guarded the building, and she only had security accompanying her during work-related public events.

But Kagan said the heightened focus on justices' security began after Justice Antonin Scalia's death in 2016. Scalia died while on a hunting trip in Texas, where he was hours away from security personnel after declining a private security detail for the trip.

Kagan recalled that Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and the late Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, D-Md., went to Chief Justice John Roberts to push them to step up security.

"This was how the chief described it to us — they said, kind of like, 'We think you're crazy, you know, that you have less security than the director of the Office of Personnel Management does. And we think that you have to do better.'

"Then, of course, the Dobbs leak happened, and that really increased the urgency of the entire thing," Kagan said. "But we've been working on this now for about a decade and actually, I think, are grateful to Congress for coming to us and saying, 'You have to up your game in this area.'"

Senate Democrats drew a rare line in the sand against a yearly, must-pass defense package in an act of rebellion against President Donald Trump.

Democrats blocked a procedural hurdle for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a perennial bill that opens up funding for the Pentagon and military. Many were already frustrated by the overall funding target of the package and pushed over the edge by the renewal of the Iran war.

"It’s very disappointing," Sen. Jim Banks, R-Ind., a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told Fox News Digital.

"It's about supporting our troops, supporting our military, and it's disappointing when Democrats play games with that," he continued.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., charged on the Senate floor that Republicans wanted the upper chamber to take up the bill "as though none of this is happening."

"The president is waging an unauthorized war, defying bipartisan majorities in Congress, refusing to level with the American people at the cost of the mission or the endgame," Schumer said. "The NDAA cannot become a permission slip for that recklessness that we see occurring in Iran."

Early signs of trouble for this year’s NDAA first appeared during the Senate Armed Services Committee’s vote to advance the legislation. The majority of Democrats, nine out of 13 on the panel, voted against it.

Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., was one of the "no" votes, something he acknowledged was a rare move.

He said guardrails needed to be added to Trump’s war authorities in Iran and a deeper explanation provided of where exactly the staggering $1.15 trillion authorized by the bill would come from.

"The Iran war issue is, I think, one of the major issues about the NDAA, but it's not the only issue," Kaine said. "The absence of knowing where this money is coming from to do this dramatic top-line increase? That still has to get resolved."

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., who also sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, told Fox News Digital, "It's pretty frustrating, people need to come together and act in the best interest of the country."

'Bachelorette' star reveals brain tumor diagnosis after routine health scan

This reality TV star thought a routine health scan would bring peace of mind.

Instead, the "Bachelor in Paradise" star revealed it uncovered what appears to be an early-stage brain tumor, sending him on a whirlwind journey that will require brain surgery.

The shocking discovery began with what Joe Amabile expected would be a routine full-body scan.

"So, a little medical update. I didn’t share my Prenuvo results because they ended up finding a lesion in my brain," he said in a video shared to Instagram. "So, then I had to go get a brain MRI, and there was a blueberry-sized lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma, which is a tumor."

The additional testing quickly led to a treatment plan. Amabile revealed he would undergo a craniotomy in two weeks to remove the tumor so doctors could test it.

"So, I now need to get brain surgery [in two weeks] to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there," he explained. "So, it’s been a wild couple weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting this."

Reflecting on the whirlwind diagnosis, Amabile said he never expected to find himself in this position.

"I think it’s one of those things where you’re like, ‘Oh, something like this'll never happen to me,’ and here I am," he said. "They say it’s really early stages. I hope they are able to get it all, and I’m fine. But I will keep you updated."

The former "Bachelorette" contestant shared additional details in the caption of his video. Amabile also reflected on the emotional toll of the diagnosis.

"I’m doing my best to stay positive during this time and am lucky to have a lot of support from family and friends," he added.

"I’ve gone back and forth about what I wanted to share on social media but ultimately, this is now part of my life now, so might as well. Onto a new journey."

At every World Cup, there are a few teams that become tournament darlings. This year it was the likes of Cape Verde, Scotland and Norway.

Of those three, none made a deeper run than Norway. And while it came up short against England this past weekend, the team returned home like the boat-rowing (fine, technically sailing) conquering heroes its ancestors once were.

And, boy, did they ever get one hell of a parade.

The team returned home this week — taxidermied raccoons in hand — after a 2-1 loss in extra time to the Three Lions.

Of course, even with star striker Erling Haaland, the team getting to the quarterfinals was a huge achievement for the Scandinavian nation, and their best World Cup performance ever, topping a pair of Round of 16 appearances in 1938 and 1998.

Clearly, it meant a lot, because people turned out in droves to cheer on the team in Oslo as they left the Royal Palace.

Again, I feel like this has to be reiterated: this is for a team knocked out in the quarterfinals.

We've seen championship parades here in the States that didn't draw crowds like that, and there are fewer than six million people in the entire country!

World Cup success is always relative. For some nations, just making it is a victory.

But if that's Norway after bowing out in the quarterfinals, I don't think they could've handled going much further.

Oslo would be bursting at the seams if they made it to the semifinals, and who knows what could've happened had they pulled off a miracle and won it all.

I think we'd wake up the next morning and Norway would be missing on the map. There'd just be a void north of Denmark and west of Sweden.

The Open Championship released its first- and second-round tee times Monday, and the R&A made sure the two biggest stars in golf are featured in two marquee groupings.

Defending Champion Golfer of the Year Scottie Scheffler will play alongside two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau and Tyrrell Hatton during the opening two rounds at Royal Birkdale.

Six-time major champion and world No. 2 Rory McIlroy was paired with a couple of former major winners: Xander Schauffele, who won the 2024 PGA Championship and Open Championship, and England's Matt Fitzpatrick, winner of the 2022 U.S. Open.

Talk about loading up two groups with huge names. The R&A also decided to split the groups between the morning and afternoon waves, ensuring that Scheffler and McIlroy would be on the course at different times.

Scheffler, the world No. 1, enters the week looking to defend the Claret Jug after his dominant victory at Royal Portrush last year. He'll be joined by DeChambeau, one of the game's biggest draws. The interesting subplot here is current form for both players. Scheffler missed the cut at the Scottish Open last week, breaking a streak of 78 consecutive made cuts.

DeChambeau has struggled in the 2026 majors, missing the cut at the Masters, PGA Championship and U.S. Open. He had never missed the cut in three straight majors prior to this year. Questions are starting to mount about whether he's still in the conversation as one of the best golfers on the planet, and his performance at Royal Birkdale will be under a microscope. Add in the pressure of playing with Scheffler, and there's a recipe for one of the most intriguing major pairings of the entire year.

McIlroy, who completed the career Grand Slam at the 2025 Masters, will begin his quest for a second Open Championship alongside major champions Schauffele and Fitzpatrick.

McIlroy finished tied for 7th at the Scottish Open and carries strong form into the week. He's made the cut in all 10 events he's played this season, including a win at the Masters and four top-10 finishes.

While McIlroy has won the Masters in back-to-back years, he hasn't won any of the other three majors since 2014 when he won both the Open and PGA Championship. As a Northern Ireland native, McIlroy surely wants to add at least one more Claret Jug to his trophy case.

Playing alongside Fitzpatrick, who is tied for the PGA Tour lead with three wins in 2026, adds pressure on McIlroy. While the crowd figures to root for McIlroy, Fitzpatrick gives the group a home-nation angle as an Englishman.

That threesome is scheduled to tee off at 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Thursday.

Those aren't the only notable pairings at Royal Birkdale, either.

Chris Gotterup, who is tied with Fitzpatrick for the PGA Tour lead with three wins in 2026, will tee off with Sam Burns and Adam Scott in one of the more intriguing afternoon groups. Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka also gets a major-heavy draw alongside former Open Champion Shane Lowry and Aaron Rai, the reigning PGA Championship winner.

Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood and Jordan Spieth are together in another loaded trio, while Justin Thomas, Alex Noren and Jason Day bring plenty of experience in the group immediately before Scheffler's tee time. Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark and Ludvig Aberg give the late wave another strong group, with Clark fresh off his second U.S. Open title.

A chilling 911 call made by the husband of slain New Jersey mother and psychotherapist Brooke Hanlon has been shared over and over and has been picked apart by internet sleuths searching for clues.

The call’s distressed and disturbing audio reveals graphic detail of how Conor Hanlon found his bloodied wife.

Brooke Hanlon, 35, was found fatally stabbed inside her Chester, New Jersey, home on June 6. No one has been charged in her death and Hanlon has not been accused of any crime or wrongdoing.

Fox News Digital attempted to reach Conor Hanlon, but calls were not immediately returned.

Internet sleuths are dissecting Hanlon’s frantic tone of voice and his word choice, like referring to one of Brooke’s wounds as a "laceration" in the nearly seven-minute call.

That’s exactly the kind of analysis that has led to devastating mistakes, Leonard said.

He pointed to multiple murder investigations where innocent people were publicly vilified because of how they sounded while calling 911.

One case he references is that of the father of Isabel Celis, Sergio Celis. He reported his 6-year-old daughter missing from their Tucson, Arizona, home in 2012.

Investigators discovered her remains five years later; leading up to this discovery, Celis was branded a killer, Leonard says.

"For six years all of the supposed amateur experts said he did it," Leonard said.

Ultimately, Christopher Clements , a convicted sex offender, was also convicted of young Isabel’s murder and kidnapping.

In another notorious case, then-teenager Marty Tankleff, of Long Island, New York, spent 17 years in prison, wrongfully convicted.

Prosecutors zeroed in on his alleged calm demeanor following the killings of his parents; that conviction was eventually overturned.

"Everybody is so different," Leonard said. "There are no reliable markers."

He goes on to say, "We should not rush to judgment."

As for the call itself, he said, "You don’t do a murder investigation with one bit of data."

Back in January, Kevin Dale Westerhold, 51, made an appearance in an edition of True Romance after a romantic encounter with a vacuum. The Florida man and Airbnb host's ordeal has made its way through the courts.

Sometimes the Florida man stories come into our lives and seem to disappear into thin air. We don't get to find out how they navigate through the court system. This isn’t one of those stories.

On Monday, Westerhold's case was closed after he took a plea deal for his indecent exposure arrest, which came after he was alleged to have "engaged in a sexual performance with a vacuum cleaner" outside a home in a gated resort community near Disney World.

The Smoking Gun reports that Westerhold entered a no contest plea to the indecent exposure charge, which had been reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.

He was then sentenced, according to court documents obtained by the outlet, to 12 months probation. He was also fined $271 and ordered to undergo a "psycho-sexual evaluation" by Judge Juna Pulayya.

Witnesses were able to provide photos and videos of Westerhold to investigators of him "pleasuring himself with a vacuum in broad daylight," according to the police report.

A detective who went into detail in the report about what had transpired on the otherwise quiet day earlier this year in the gated community wrote that "He continued to penetrate the handheld section of the vacuum before using it to suction his testicles for further sexual gratification."

A neighbor at another property owned by Westerhold told police that they had seen him, without a vacuum nearby, walking around without clothes on. In another instance at this second location, the neighbor says they saw him only wearing a tank top.

Pilot's viral sky message leaves people stunned after unexpected flight path

A pilot has gone viral after leaving an unexpected message in the sky during a routine flight.

The pilot of the two-hour maintenance test flight over Northwest England traced the words "I'm bored" across the sky, with the unusual message and route appearing on the flight-tracking website Flightradar24.

The Ravenair-operated Piper Tomahawk aircraft departed from Liverpool around 11:30 a.m. Saturday. It spent about two hours flying over the Wirral peninsula, Cheshire and North Wales before safely returning, according to Flightradar24.

Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog "View From the Wing," told Fox News Digital there is little cause for concern from his point of view because the flight was conducted to test the aircraft rather than transport passengers.

"This was a test flight, not a passenger flight," Leff said. "Writing 'I'm bored' takes a certain amount of skill and suggests the pilot was anything but distracted."

Leff noted that the most demanding work for pilots typically happens before takeoff during takeoff and landing.

"Only a small percentage of flying on more modern aircraft is done manually at cruise," he said. "The workload above 10,000 feet is far less than during the takeoff and landing phases.

"'I'm bored' is an amusing way to express this."

The aviation company, Ravenair, told the BBC a flying instructor in his 20s was conducting a routine test flight after a replacement part had been installed on the aircraft.

"I think the pilot was literally a bit bored as it was just a test flight. Mind you, it was pretty skillful flying," Wes Barrett, operation manager, told the news outlet.

"He was a bit bored, but he probably had to concentrate a lot in the end to spell out the words."

The flight path quickly went viral, prompting discussion across social media.

"This should be unremarkable ... but it's nice to see the pilot didn't face any issues because of this," one Reddit user wrote.

Several key groups are coming to the support of acting Attorney General Todd Blanche as he navigates Senate confirmation to officially become the successor to Pam Bondi, according to the office of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Support cited by Grassley's office includes 670,000 sworn officers, 300 angel families, families who lost a loved one to crimes committed by undocumented immigrants and 100 bipartisan U.S. attorneys and DOJ officials.

The office highlighted a statement from 23 attorneys general, among other outpourings of support.

Blanche took over the Department of Justice after Bondi left the role in April.

President Donald Trump dismissed her after what many critics saw as a botched handling of the Epstein Files, overpromising transparency on who may have facilitated the sex trafficking crimes of Jeffrey Epstein and then underdelivering.

Since taking the role, Blanche has steered the DOJ away from the Epstein controversy and refocused messaging on domestic security. Now that Trump has officially tapped him to become the next attorney general, The American Border Story (TABS), which represents Angel Families, said Blanche is key to continuing that work.

"At a time when the Department of Justice must confront violent crime, illegal immigration, human trafficking, child exploitation, cartels, MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and other transnational threats, the country needs clear leadership and sustained operational focus... TABS respectfully urges the Senate Committee on the Judiciary to give full and fair consideration to Todd Blanche's nomination and to advance his confirmation as Attorney General of the United States," TABS said in a statement.

The National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) echoed that reasoning in a statement of its own.

"We believe Mr. Blanche’s leadership will help ensure that the Department of Justice remains focused on public safety, the rule of law, and providing unwavering support for the law enforcement professionals who risk their lives daily to protect our families and communities… On behalf of the more than 382,000 members of the Fraternal Order of Police, we commend President Trump on his nomination of Todd W. Blanche to lead the Justice Department and urge the committee to favorably report his nomination."

Another group of 78 former DOJ officials praised Blanche for steering the department back toward law enforcement and staying away from politically charged controversy.

"Todd Blanche understands that the Department’s mission is to deliver justice — not to serve political interests or entrenched bureaucracies," the group said.

DOJ charges 3 Russians in alleged $63M cybercrime scheme targeting Americans

Three Russian nationals allegedly scammed Americans in 21 states out of more than $63 million, according to a December 2024 indictment that the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio unsealed Tuesday.

The trio — Alexander Alexandrovich Volosovik, 43, Kirill Andreevich Zatolokin, 34, and Yulia Vladimirovna Pankova, 29 — conducted "malicious cyber activities against U.S. critical infrastructure" through their St. Petersburg, Russia-based companies Media Land, LLC and ML.Cloud, LLC, according to federal prosecutors.

"From their overseas safe haven, these defendants ran the criminal infrastructure that powered attacks on critical institutions across our nation," Department of Justice Criminal Division Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva said in a statement.

"Their actions put the American public at risk. We will continue to dismantle these networks and protect our critical infrastructure from cybercriminals at home and abroad."

A grand jury indicted the trio on charges of conspiracy to commit and aid and abet computer fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in December 2024.

The U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program is offering up to $10 million for information on foreign government-linked associates of the trio or for affiliates of their companies.

The companies "provided infrastructure and tech support to criminal client co-conspirators with the means to infect victim computers with malware and ransomware and then extorted those victims for money and cryptocurrency," the U.S. Attorney's Office Tuesday announcement read.

"Other computer-based crimes facilitated by Media Land and ML.Cloud included supporting criminal marketplaces, fraudulent domain registrations, and providing the platform from which to launch phishing and brute force attacks," the announcement added.

While many U.S. residents were alleged victims of the group's products, their organizations targeted victims across the globe, prompting U.S. authorities to collaborate with international partners, a fact the U.S. attorney and the FBI both stressed.

"The victims in this case are not only in Ohio, but also in 20 other states across the country, touching every aspect of Americans’ lives. They include banks, schools, government entities, hospitals and media companies," United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio David M. Toepfer said in a statement.

"Together with our international partners, we will aggressively combat the efforts of individuals who hide behind computers anywhere in the world who seek to profit and wreak havoc by targeting the infrastructures that support our communities."

Other international organizations that Toepfer thanked included the National Police of the Netherlands and the Netherlands' Public Prosecutor's Office, the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency, the United Kingdom Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Federal Police.

'Miracle on the Hudson' hero Captain 'Sully' Sullenberger reveals Alzheimer's diagnosis

One of the nation’s most famous aviators and great heroes has announced a heartbreaking diagnosis.

Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III, the pilot who saved 155 people after making an emergency landing in New York’s Hudson River in what became known as "The Miracle on the Hudson," shared in a public statement that he was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

"It is early stage," he revealed. "For now, this means a name may not come easily to me, I forget a story I have recently told, or I don’t sleep as well, but I am in the beginning of this long journey."

Sullenberger, 75, shared with People magazine that he’s had trouble recalling details within the last year, despite having a photographic memory. He received his official diagnosis in August 2025.

The pilot became a celebrity when he carried out the emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on Jan. 15, 2009, after colliding with a flock of geese that resulted in engine failure. Everyone onboard survived.

Alzheimer's, the most common type of dementia, impacts more than seven million people in the U.S. over the age of 65, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.

"My doctor, Dr. Gil Rabinovici with UCSF Medical Center, has opened my eyes to the prevalence of Alzheimer’s," Sullenberger said in his statement. "This disease, he has told me, spares no age group and impacts millions of people around the world. It is the unwanted visitor at the door."

Sullenberger’s wife, Lorrie, shared with People that the diagnosis has not dimmed his strong demeanor.

"Just as he was the same steady person before and after Flight 1549, he is the same steady person now, before and after this diagnosis," she said. "That strength and steadiness is guiding us as a family."

"We’re supporting him on this journey that we now walk with so many other families. Though the future is uncertain, we continue to live our lives, have hope and find joy in the everyday."

Flight 1549 first officer Capt. Jeff Skiles also commented on the news of his friend’s diagnosis.

"Sully is larger than life, even to me," Skiles told People. "He’s somebody I’ve always looked up to, and I think a lot of other people do, too. Hopefully, it’s going to progress slowly and he’s going to be able to create the kind of life going forward that he would be proud of."

Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel noted that Sullenberger had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after the Miracle on the Hudson, which could have increased his risk.

"Age 75 is relatively late-onset," he told Fox News Digital. "PTSD doubles the risk of developing Alzheimer's because of changing brain chemistry and structure and sleep disruption."

Sullenberger reflected on how he has been a staunch advocate for travel safety, often addressing roadblocks in the aviation industry, fighting for increased pilot training and care.

Now, Capt. Sully, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, plans to continue serving the public by focusing on raising Alzheimer’s awareness.

"This new phase of my life has challenged what it means to be of service," he said. "And the answer is to speak up. It is my hope that by sharing this, other families living in the shadows with this disease will feel they, too, can step forward."

"So many people told us after Flight 1549, that the outcome gave them hope," he went on. "Lorrie, my incredible partner of 37 years, says we can all use a little of that hope right now."

What to know about Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia affecting memory, thinking and behavior, as described by the Alzheimer’s Association. It accounts for 60% to 80% of all dementia cases.

It is a progressive disease, meaning the symptoms gradually worsen over time. The memory loss is usually mild in early stages, but late-stage Alzheimer’s can include loss of ability to carry a conversation and respond to environmental factors.

While there is no cure for Alzheimer’s, there are treatments that can help slow symptoms. Newer, more effective therapies are on the horizon, experts say.

Certain lifestyle changes, including mental and physical activity, have been shown to help prevent the disease.

Dr. Daniel Amen, a psychiatrist, brain imaging doctor and founder of Amen Clinics in California, previously spoke with Fox News Digital about Alzheimer’s risk and management.

"Alzheimer's starts in your brain decades before you have any symptoms," he said. "So, a 59-year-old woman I diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease likely had negative changes in her brain in her 20s."

MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace revealed Monday she stopped airing press briefings during President Donald Trump's term when Sarah Huckabee Sanders was press secretary, saying she refused to air them because it "hurt" her.

Speaking to former CNN host Jim Acosta on her podcast, "The Best People," Wallace brought up Trump's disdain for the press, citing his assertion that the press is the "enemy of the people."

"When you take a look at what's public facing, right, that whole incident and the way they treated you [Acosta] with the cameras rolling, the press release about taking away your pass, Trump telling Lesley Stahl, 'I call you the enemy of the people because I need people to not believe you when the stories are bad about me.' I stopped carrying Sarah Huckabee Sanders briefings, just refused to carry him because having worked there, it like actually hurt me to watch her lying," Wallace said.

Wallace clarified that she wasn't suggesting administrations don't try to get the best press coverage they can or put the "best possible light on things their boss is doing," but that "lies" about immigration were effective for Trump politically.

Wallace, who hosts "Deadline White House" on MS NOW, previously served as a White House communications director under former President George W. Bush.

During an episode of her show in August 2018, Wallace played a clip of Sanders responding to Trump supporters heckling Acosta, who at the time was covering a Trump rally for CNN.

Sanders said at the time, "While we certainly support freedom of the press, we also support freedom of speech, and we think that those things go hand in hand."

Wallace angrily responded to the clip, "You know, we're not going to air that anymore. Let's make that the last Sarah Huckabee Sanders clip ever aired at four o’clock. Yup, that’s it. You know, it makes me sweat. That is vile."

Her show on MSNBC —which has since changed its name to MS NOW — debuted in 2017, the same year Sanders became Trump's press secretary in his first term. Sanders, who is now the governor of Arkansas, held the position for nearly two years, making her the longest-lasting press secretary of Trump's first administration.

An Australian woman on vacation in Las Vegas has not been seen or heard from in three weeks, with her friends and family fearing the worst.

Sally Grace Contarino, 26, of Melbourne Australia disappeared after a friend says she sent a message that she was going for a hike on June 20, according to a New York Post report.

Police say she got on a flight and traveled from Melbourne on June 13 and by June 18 she confirmed to a family member that she arrived at her downtown Las Vegas hotel, KLAS reports.

She was last seen at 9700 West Skye Canyon Drive, according to NYP.

Las Vegas-based non-profit search and rescue organization Red Rock Search & Rescue put out an alert on social media and said Contarino "did not return home as scheduled after a trip that reportedly included stops in Las Vegas, Mt. Charleston and Southern California."

Johnson scores win as conservative rebels end House floor blockade over voter ID bill

House conservatives ended their weeks-long blockade of the House floor Tuesday, handing Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., a key victory after the rebellion brought legislative business to a standstill for nearly a month.

The House successfully passed a procedural vote 215-211, teeing up votes on an appropriations bill funding the State Department, legislation making daylight saving time permanent and a measure seeking to improve veterans’ benefits.

Johnson also agreed to pair the State Department funding bill with the SAVE America Act, prompting several conservative holdouts to flip their votes after demanding the House increase pressure on the Senate to pass the stalled measure.

Rep. Randy Fine, R-Fla., was the lone Republican to oppose the rule, while all Democrats voted "no" during a party-line procedural vote.

The conservatives had blocked all major House legislation since late June in an effort to force GOP leaders to hold floor votes on the Trump-backed SAVE America Act and a sweeping border security bill.

Given House Republicans’ slim majority, Johnson could afford to spare just a handful of GOP defections.

The speaker has been under mounting pressure to get the House moving again and advance a backlog of legislation ahead of the November midterm elections.

GOP leaders are racing to draft the blueprint for a third "big, beautiful bill" in addition to clearing government funding bills before the Sept. 30 deadline and a potential supplemental package covering the price tag of the Iran war.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., who was among the GOP rebels who effectively shut down the chamber to pressure the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act, agreed to unlock the floor after Johnson proposed pairing the election measure with the State Department appropriations bill.

Johnson sought to attach the SAVE America Act to the House’s version of an annual defense policy bill before the July 4 recess, but Luna continued the blockade anyway.

"If John Thune strips it out in the Senate, that will be on him and the entire country should be watching what he does," Luna wrote on social media Monday.

Thune, who is supportive of the SAVE America Act, has repeatedly insisted that the votes do not exist in the upper chamber to pass the Trump-backed legislation amid unified opposition from Democrats.

That leaves House Republicans with little leverage to force Senate action on the SAVE America Act.

Some of the GOP holdouts had also threatened to oppose the rule unless House Republican leadership agreed to schedule a vote on a border security package.

Members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus are advocating for a vote on the Permanent Trump Secure Border Act, which would codify several Trump executive orders targeting illegal immigration, including and end to catch-and-release policies.

"We need to deliver on codifying border security, deal with the birthright citizenship issue," Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said. "These are all issues people that I represent care about intently and that we've talked about doing, and we need to deliver."

In a potential sign of trouble for GOP leadership, some holdouts criticized Johnson's planned legislative goals for the week.

"Making Daylight Saving Time permanent won’t matter at all if we don’t have election integrity," Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, wrote on social media Monday, referring to the SAVE America Act. "Priorities."

Self voted "yes" during the procedural vote.

The GOP rebels' hardball tactics frustrated many House Republicans, who argued the strategy risked backfiring and paralyzing the conference's legislative agenda.

"There's a small group of Republicans who are upset at the Senate, as I think all of us are," Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., told Fox News Monday. "But I don't know how ... if you're upset at the Senate, why do you take it out on the conservative Republican agenda in the House?"

But some conservatives argued the House should do whatever it takes to get the SAVE America Act to President Donald Trump's desk.

Trump has repeatedly said the election integrity measure is his top legislative priority. He even refused to sign a bipartisan housing bill last week aiming to boost supply and lower costs in protest of the SAVE America Act.

"We shouldn't vote on anything else unless it has the SAVE [America] Act, period," Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., said Monday.

"Ideally, the Senate ought to take it up every day and make them vote on it and do a talking filibuster and keep them up all night," he continued. "That's the best course of action. I don't think they'll do that."

FIRST ON FOX: Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., asked two university medical leaders in a tense hearing Tuesday to directly answer whether non-biological women can have babies and didn’t receive a straight answer, prompting a fiery statement from the congresswoman to Fox News Digital.

"Doctor (Sam) Hawgood, you see UCSFs Classroom Guide, titled ‘Framework for Gender and Sex Concepts in Teaching,’ advises against using the term pregnant women," Miller told the chancellor of the University of California San Francisco in an Education and Workforce Committee hearing on DEI's impact in medical schools.

"Instead, it says to use pregnant people. Who are pregnant people compared to pregnant women? Just curious."

Hawgood responded by saying that terminology is "part of a curriculum to help our students who are facing a wide diversity of patients before saying the "vast majority of pregnancies are in women" and that he has "absolutely no problem with the term pregnant women."

"Has a non-biological woman ever had a baby?" Miller asked, and Hawgood responded that a "transgender person can."

Hawgood responded, "I would reiterate" before Miller interrupted saying, "It’s ridiculous."

"Lastly, Dr. Dubinett, a required course at UCLA medical school advises ob-gyn students not to, and, I quote, assume gender identity," Miller told Dr. Steve Dubinett, dean of UCLA School of Medicine.

"OK, from another class in May of 2026. It included a disclaimer that while it uses the term she and women, it does not intend to exclude, and I quote, ‘those who have a uterus but do not identify with these terms.’ What does that even mean?"

The dean responded, "I'm not familiar with that announcement that I'd have to read the entire thing."

Dubinett did not directly answer the question but said that the school is "treating transgender people," but "we’re doing that in compliance with state and federal law."

Miller pressed again, asking Dubinett if the school teaches biology, to which Dubinett answered, "Yes we do."

"This is curious," Miller responded. "So, I'm going to ask you again, can someone have a uterus and not be a woman? Just say yes or no. Can they?"

"Again, I would," Dubinett said before being interrupted by the committee chair as Miller’s time expired.

"That’s what your medical school is promoting," Miller said. "Chairman, it's clear these medical schools are hiding DEI curriculum under the guise of medical access."

Miller, in an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital after the hearing, said, "It shouldn't take a medical degree to answer a basic biology question. This hearing exposed that our medical schools have become consumed by political ideology that they're losing sight of reality. Patients just want doctors grounded in common sense. Medical schools that abandon scientific truth should lose their accreditation."

Cardinals star Jordan Walker earned more money from Home Run Derby win than 2026 salary

St. Louis Cardinals star Jordan Walker hit the baseball lottery by winning the Home Run Derby.

Walker, 24, made more money from winning the Home Run Derby on Monday night than he will earn this season from the Cardinals.

Walker homered on his final six swings of the night, and with his electrifying comeback that took down hometown hero and Philadelphia Phillies star Kyle Schwarber at Citizens Bank Park, he earned $1 million. The prize money more than doubled his income for the season, as he is earning $799,400 from the Cardinals, according to Spotrac.

The Home Run Derby featured a prize pool of $2.5 million. The winner received $1 million, the runner-up, Schwarber, received $500,000. The remaining six participants each received $150,000.

Tampa Bay Rays star Junior Caminero hit the longest home run of the night at 491 feet and was awarded $100,000 for the farthest blast.

Walker played the villain role on Monday, as the vociferous Philadelphia crowd cheered as loudly for Schwarber’s home runs as it did for Walker’s mishaps during the final.

"I was once told you don’t boo nobody," Walker said on the field as he received his trophy, according to MLB.com. "So it feels pretty good."

Schwarber opened the final with 11 home runs on 15 swings, leaving Walker with a tall task. It looked like Schwarber would win when Walker left the yard on just six of his first 12 swings, but he proceeded to blast six in a row to send the 43,863 Phillies fans home disappointed.

"I can't even describe how it means to win it," Walker said, voice hoarse in the moments following his victory. "It was a lot of swings, a lot of pressure, but I think I just had fun no matter what. Like, every round, I was having a good time."

Despite being on the receiving end of a lot of boos from the Philadelphia crowd, Walker did appreciate their love for their players.

"My thought was, ‘Philly is brutal,’" Walker said. "I mean, honestly. But I think it's pretty special because they love their players and that's what you want from your home … I can't hate them, because that's their guy."

Walker has emerged this year as a star for the Cardinals and earned his first All-Star Game nod. The Georgia native was one of the top prospects in the sport when he made his debut in 2023 and impressed.

During his rookie campaign, he hit .276 with 16 home runs and 51 RBI in 117 games.

However, over the next two seasons, Walker struggled. In 2024, he played just 51 games and hit .201 with five home runs. In 2025, he played 111 games and hit .215 with six home runs.

His struggles over the prior two seasons make his return to stellar play even more impressive. In 93 games this season, Walker has a .294 batting average with 22 home runs, and his 74 RBI lead the big leagues.

The 6-foot-6 right fielder’s presence in the lineup has helped buoy a young Cardinals team that has surpassed expectations this season. The Cardinals are 50-45, third in the NL Central and in the thick of the Wild Card race.

Walker will represent the National League in the All-Star Game when they take on the American League at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday on FOX.
