ALDS postponement leaves Guardians ticket holders upset with altered game assignments

Fans who bought Game 5 tickets hoping to see a pennant-clinching win will now attend Game 4 instead

Some Cleveland Guardians fans got screwed by the rain in more ways than one on Friday night.

For starters, Game 4 of the American League Division Series was postponed due to weather, but not until roughly an hour after the originally scheduled first pitch, meaning fans had traveled to the game and potentially paid for parking, food and merchandise.

The postponement, ironically, came despite the Guardians' X account posting "Rain or shine" an hour before first pitch. But the mess took a turn when the Guardians announced a slight change in the tickets for the game.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

The Guardians said that fans with tickets for Game 4 will be able to use them for Game 5, which is now on Sunday instead of the originally planned Saturday. Fans with Game 5 tickets "do not need to take action" and can go to the ballpark on Saturday night.

That seems fine at the outset until one realizes that fans who bought tickets to Game 5 in hopes of seeing a pennant victory will not be able to do so, since they are now going to Game 4 — Cleveland is up 2-1 on the Tampa Bay Rays.

"This is an insane way to handle tickets. Tomorrow should be Game 4 and Sunday should be Game 5. Tickets should be used in that order. This is gonna cause hella problems," one user on X wrote on Friday night.

RAIN FORCES MLB TO POSTPONE GUARDIANS-RAYS ALCS GAME 4 IN CLEVELAND

"Imagine you thought you had tickets to a possible pennant-clinching win at home tomorrow night and they just casually change your tickets to Game 4. Totally ridiculous. Game is not of equal value," wrote another. "Tickets should remain assigned to their originally designated Game # in the series."

"I'd be a little annoyed if I bought what could be series ending tickets and got moved up a game," said one more.

On the flip side, if the Guardians win on Saturday, those who had tickets for what was supposed to be Friday's game could get quite lucky.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

If the weather holds this time around, first pitch is at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Man fights for his life after tragic cliff jump into water at vacation hot spot

The 22-year-old, newly engaged, has undergone multiple life-saving surgeries

A newly engaged New Jersey man was critically injured after he reportedly jumped into the sea from a height of nearly 100 feet while vacationing in Italy with his fiancée.

Jacob Fleig, a 22-year-old from Berlin, New Jersey, was visiting Fiordo di Furore, a narrow inlet along the Amalfi Coast, on Oct. 5 when he jumped from the coastal road above the water, according to U.S. and Italian reports.

He has undergone multiple life-saving procedures and surgeries and was in intensive care, his brother, Jimmy Dorner, wrote in a GoFundMe campaign about him earlier this week.

TOURISTS SHOCKED AFTER INNOCENT VACATION ACTIVITY LANDS THEM IN HOT WATER WITH LOCALS

"Currently, our main priority is getting him medically stable and strong enough to be transported back to America where he can continue with future surgeries, therapy and ongoing care," Dorner wrote.

A day after the incident, a cousin wrote on Facebook that Fleig was in a medically induced coma at a Salerno hospital as his mother and brother traveled to be with him.

She also said Fleig proposed to his girlfriend after they landed in Italy — and she said yes.

Fleig struck the water in a bad position and suffered a cut to his back, Italian outlet RaiNews reported.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER

Emergency medical responders took him to a hospital before he was transferred by helicopter to Salerno.

The day after the accident, Fleig’s injury was determined to be serious but not life-threatening, the same outlet said.

Fleig is currently studying electrical engineering, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Dorner described his brother as "a light in every life he encounters," adding that his humor and charisma are among the first things people notice about him.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE LIFESTYLE NEWS

"Jacob has persevered through many adversities in life and has always come out a stronger man," he added.

The fundraiser took in more than $47,000 of its $50,000 goal as of Saturday afternoon.

Fiordo di Furore is a scenic gorge and popular stop on the UNESCO-listed Amalfi Coast, with a small beach beneath a bridge.

Italy’s tourism site notes that professional divers leap from the cliffs during organized events.

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

The broader coast also attracts thrill-seeking tourists who jump from rocks and bridges, according to the New York Post.

A woman slipped and fell at the cove in 2023, which was caught in a viral video, the outlet reported.

It also quoted a local resident who criticized the mass tourism in the area.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Government agencies warn that hidden rocks or shallow water can cause serious injury or death, and advise visitors not to dive into unfamiliar water and to follow local warnings.

Fox News Digital reached out to Fleig's family for comment.

Titans CEO apologizes to beleaguered fanbase after dreadful start to the season: 'We're sorry'

Burke Nihill expressed confidence in head coach Robert Saleh and GM Mike Borgonzi

You know a season hasn’t gone according to plan when just five weeks into the year, the CEO is apologizing to the fan base.

The Tennessee Titans are 0-5 this season and haven’t provided much hope for their beleaguered fan base. Titans CEO Burke Nihill is empowered to speak on behalf of controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and has admitted the product on the field hasn’t been good for a while.

"The first thing I would say back to the fans is just that we're sorry," Nihill told ESPN on Friday. "There's nobody in this building that doesn't feel ... a sense of grief about it, because not only are we fans of the team as well, but we feel the sense of responsibility to deliver. And we've let our fans down because football is supposed to be fun."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

"I think it starts on the field and the state of the franchise. We're 0-5, and that's not nearly good enough. It hasn't been for a while."

The Titans hired head coach Robert Saleh in the offseason, and general manager Mike Borgonzi is in his second season. With 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward entering his second season, the Titans were hoping to emerge as playoff contenders .

Instead, the results have been dismal. The Titans have scored the fewest points per game (11.6) in the NFL. Their defense has been solid, as they are tied for 11th in the NFL, allowing 21.8 points per game, but it hasn't been enough to overcome a hapless offense and get in the win column.

Despite that, Nihill has confidence in the Titans’ leadership.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

"I personally feel a sense of stability," Nihill said. "I believe that Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh are ultimately going to get this team out of the woods and restore it to competitive football. The train is on the tracks. It just hasn't picked up momentum, but it will.

"I can confidently say this organization is in a place where there is organizational belief in Mike, in Robert, and they absolutely have all the support they need to get this train moving and moving faster."

The two constants for the Titans in recent years have been change and losing. They have lost 33 of their last 39 games and are on a seven-game losing streak that dates back to last season. They have won just six games since the start of the 2023 season.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

The Titans have fired either a general manager or a head coach every year since 2022.

Nihill and a victory-starved Titans fan base hope their team can win its first game of the season when it plays the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

'Days of Our Lives' star Robert Kelker-Kelly ignored alarming symptoms before sudden death: police report

The 'Days of Our Lives' and 'General Hospital' actor, also a professional pilot, had no known medical conditions

Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor best known for playing Bo Brady on "Days of Our Lives," experienced chest and arm pain shortly before his death at 62, according to a police report detailing his final hours.

The St. Peters Police Department report, obtained by Fox News Digital, stated that Kelker-Kelly's wife, Allison Kelly, told police she picked up her husband, who also worked as a professional pilot, from Spirit of St. Louis Airport at approximately 7:30pm on Oct. 3.

During the drive home, Kelker-Kelly said he felt pain in his left arm and chest and asked his wife to pull over so he could vomit, according to the report.

‘DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ STAR ROBERT KELKER-KELLY DEAD AT 62

Kelly asked her husband whether he needed to go to the hospital. He declined and instead requested that she take him home so he could lie down.

After arriving at their Missouri residence, Kelker-Kelly changed his clothes and got into bed. He continued experiencing pain and asked his wife to get him an aspirin, according to the report.

When Kelly returned from the kitchen, she found her husband unresponsive and not breathing.

She called 911 and began performing CPR, according to the report.

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING?
Former California mayor pushes guaranteed income as fix for affordability crisis

The Mayors for Guaranteed Income founder told Fox News Digital that 'half of US states saw some kind of guaranteed income legislation introduced' this year

The architect behind the nation's growing movement for no-strings-attached cash pilot programs is doubling down on direct payments, arguing that unconditional cash transfers are the fastest route to easing the burden of high living costs.

"Giving families direct, unrestricted cash is the fastest way to address the affordability crisis," the advocacy group Mayors for a Guaranteed Income declared in a recent video on X. "Data from pilots across the country show that guaranteed income works. It's time for us to get to work and make it a reality."

Former Stockton, California, Mayor Michael Tubbs — founder of Mayors for a Guaranteed Income — argued in an accompanying video that traditional economic solutions fail to provide immediate relief to struggling families.

According to Tubbs, "half of U.S. states saw some kind of guaranteed income legislation introduced" this year.

"At a time when key federal aid programs are being dismantled, state leaders are picking up the slack and looking for ways to bolster economic stability for residents. Ultimately, I believe this needs to become a federal intervention, and we are building the momentum needed to earn that kind of national support," he told Fox News Digital.

AS AMERICANS ARE CRUSHED BY AFFORDABILITY, GROWING TREND OF MAYORS PUSHING CASH HANDOUTS AS THE ANSWER

Americans nationwide have struggled to grapple with rising costs of living, healthcare, and gas prices.

"The U.S. is unaffordable for almost all of us," Tubbs said. "Yet, so many solutions about affordability focus on the importance of long-term solutions, like building more affordable housing or breaking up monopolies. But people also need relief now."

Tubbs' comments coincided with an Oct. 13 celebration hosted by the group and Alameda, California, city leaders marking the completion of "Rise Up Alameda," the city's first guaranteed income pilot project. City staff presented the program's final 24-month evaluation report to the Alameda City Council on Oct. 6.

The Alameda City Council previously allocated $4.6 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to finance the program, which provided 150 low-income households with $1,000 per month over two years.

"Guaranteed income is a proven tool to help our most vulnerable residents achieve financial stability," Alameda Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft said. "I am proud that Alameda launched this critical program when families need it most."

Ashcraft also provided a statement to Fox News Digital on Friday.

"As Mayor of the City of Alameda, one of 14 cities in Alameda County, I am focused on the health and wellbeing of residents of the City of Alameda," she said.

ALBUQUERQUE USES WEED TAX TO FUND 'NO-STRINGS-ATTACHED' GUARANTEED INCOME, SPARKING POLICY DEBATE

According to the city’s official site, the pilot aimed to "reduce economic instability for program participants, help to change local narratives and perceptions surrounding poverty and the provision of public benefits, and help to support and inform the national discussion regarding public benefits and anti-poverty policies."

"There are now more than 30 independent, scientifically-rigorous studies, including around 10,000 recipients of guaranteed income; this is the largest body of research ever amassed on guaranteed income. Very few policies have been this studied this thoroughly before being implemented at scale," Tubbs told Fox News Digital on Friday.

He added, "Data is important, but it's only part of our strategy. It's also crucial that people hear from the recipients of guaranteed income, and understand the real life impacts of this kind of unconditional support. As the affordability crisis squeezes working families and an increasingly large majority of Americans struggle to make ends meet, polling shows a bipartisan majority support guaranteed income as an intervention."

Mayors for a Guaranteed Income, a coalition of more than 150 mayors, advocates for direct taxpayer-funded stipends as a tool to tackle poverty and economic insecurity. The network has supported dozens of local pilots nationwide since launching in 2020. Cook County, Illinois, recently became the first county government in the nation to make guaranteed cash payments a permanent line item in its budget following an initial ARPA-funded trial.

BALTIMORE MAYOR BACKS BALLOT MEASURE CREATING TAXPAYER-FUNDED 'BABY FUND' FOR NEWBORN FAMILIES

Tubbs launched one of the nation's earliest municipal cash experiments in Stockton in 2019 and has long maintained that federal tax dollars should supplement income for lower-income households.

However, local leaders face funding challenges as the Dec. 31, 2026, deadline to spend most obligated federal pandemic relief funds approaches, potentially leaving cities with budget shortfalls if other funding sources do not replace the expiring aid.

At the same time, Republican state officials and conservative policy groups have sought to block guaranteed income programs. Critics argue unconditional handouts discourage work, increase dependence on government assistance and misuse taxpayer funds.

TRUMP-BACKED FIREBRAND WINS ARIZONA GOP GOVERNOR PRIMARY, SETTING UP HIGH-STAKES SHOWDOWN

Four states — Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, and South Dakota — have passed state laws banning local governments from administering unconditional cash transfers. A similar ban took effect in Kansas after passing without the governor's signature. In Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton successfully challenged Harris County's "Uplift Harris" cash program in court, resulting in the Texas Supreme Court blocking the direct payments.

Conversely, Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed GOP-led legislation in her state that would have barred municipal guaranteed income initiatives.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

America's softest generation isn't the kids — it's their parents

An incident in Revere, Massachusetts, raises questions about which generation really can't handle disappointment

The biggest babies at a girls' flag football tournament in Revere, Massachusetts, weren't the girls. They were the grown men running the game.

A coach and referee got into a fight in front of children who had come to play football, not watch two adults lose their tempers. Both men later apologized, but what kind of example were they setting?

We hear plenty about how soft kids have become. They can't handle losing, expect trophies for showing up and need constant praise. But as a psychotherapist, I wonder whether we've been blaming the wrong people. Maybe the problem isn't that children can't handle disappointment. Maybe it's that their parents can't stand watching them experience it.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

Spend a Saturday at a youth sporting event and you'll see parents screaming at referees and treating a missed call like a personal insult. A father tells his son to stop making excuses after striking out, then berates the umpire.

A mother tells her daughter to be a good sport, then complains that the coach didn't give her enough playing time. These are often the same people complaining that America is raising a generation of wimps. Yet the moment a referee makes a call they don't like, they behave like toddlers.

A parent who would punish his child for screaming at a teacher may have no problem screaming at a referee. He sees nothing wrong with it because he believes he's standing up for his kid. But defending your child doesn't give you a free pass to behave like a bully.

YOUTH FOOTBALL COACHES FIGHTING & ACTING LIKE FOOLS IN PENNSYLVANIA ISN'T THE LEAST BIT SHOCKING

For some parents, their child's athletic success has become tied to their own self-esteem.

When the child wins, they feel successful. When the child loses, they feel embarrassed. A father who never made varsity may see his son's benching as another personal rejection. The child is playing a game, but the parent is still trying to settle something from 25 years ago.

Your child's athletic career isn't a second chance at your own. If you didn't make varsity in high school, screaming at your son's Little League coach isn't going to change that.

Youth sports have become an expensive business.

Families spend thousands on travel teams, private lessons and tournaments. Some start talking about college scholarships before their children are even teenagers. After all that investment, parents can begin to feel they're owed something. If their child isn't starting, the coach must be playing favorites. If the team loses, someone must be incompetent. Sometimes your kid just isn't that good. Sometimes he has a lousy game. Sometimes the other team is better. That's sports, and arguing with the coach won't change it.

We've gotten so used to treating children's disappointment as something that needs fixing that ordinary setbacks have become emergencies. Losing isn't a crisis. Sitting on the bench isn't trauma. A coach telling your kid he needs to improve isn't abuse. Yet some parents respond as though their children have suffered a serious injustice.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

A child who gets benched may be upset for an hour or two. He complains on the ride home, and moves on. His father, meanwhile, is still angry three days later, replaying the coach's decisions. The kid who struck out has forgotten about it. Dad is still furious on Tuesday.

These parents are depriving their children of some of the most useful experiences sports can provide. Kids need to learn that trying hard doesn't guarantee winning, that someone else may be better and that unfair things sometimes happen. They need to figure out what to do when they're disappointed rather than expect an adult to intervene.

I've seen adults struggle with this same habit. They get passed over for a promotion and assume the boss has something against them. They receive criticism and spend days complaining about how unfairly they've been treated. They devote more energy to proving somebody else was wrong than considering what they might do differently.

Of course, parents should intervene when a coach is abusive or a child is genuinely being mistreated. But not making the starting lineup isn't mistreatment. Neither is losing a game or being told to practice more. There's a difference between protecting children from harm and protecting them from disappointment.

Which brings us back to Massachusetts. Whatever prompted the disagreement, two adults at a children's football tournament ended up fighting in front of the players. Had one of the girls behaved that way, she probably would have been removed from the game. Instead, the adults were the ones who needed to be separated.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

Those girls showed up to play football. Instead, they watched two grown men make fools of themselves. Maybe the next time we complain that kids today can't handle disappointment, we should look at the adults standing on the sidelines. If your child's Little League game can ruin your entire weekend, your child isn't the one who needs to grow up.

Netanyahu praises Trump's 'wicked sense of humor,' defends ironclad alliance ahead of historic Israel vote

The Israeli prime minister told Mark Levin his partnership with Trump could continue to 'bring security and bring peace'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered a rare glimpse into his relationship with President Donald Trump, praising the president's "wicked sense of humor" and their shared commitment to protecting their nations from common threats.

Speaking on "Life, Liberty & Levin," the Israeli leader told host Mark Levin that his relationship with Trump is built on years of mutual understanding and shared security concerns. Netanyahu said their partnership could continue to "bring security" if he wins Israel's upcoming election.

"I always recognize he's the president of the United States, he does what he thinks is good for the United States. And that's exactly what he does. I do the same for Israel," Netanyahu said. "And I'm glad that it often, very often, this meshes."

TRUMP WELCOMES NETANYAHU TO WHITE HOUSE AS RAGING IRAN WAR THREATENS TO SOUR US-ISRAEL RELATIONSHIP

Netanyahu also highlighted Trump's personal warmth, a side of the president he said many people may not know about.

"Our rapport not only comes from knowing each other for so many years, it's also from understanding that we face a common danger and that we have to protect our common future. And that's really it," Netanyahu said.

"Aside from the fact it's fun being with him, I mean, I don't know. Most people don't know that he has a wicked sense of humor. I mean, he can be very funny and very warm. And so, I treasure this relationship," he added.

'BIBI'S HAIR ON FIRE': TRUMP-NETANYAHU PUBLIC 'RIFT' MASKED UNIFIED FRONT AGAINST IRAN, ANALYST SAYS

Israel is preparing to hold its first national election since the Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks and the wars that followed, with voters set to head to the polls Oct. 27. When asked about his political future, Netanyahu said he's focused on winning re-election.

"First, I have to get elected," Netanyahu said. "And by the way, I fight every campaign as though I'm [going to] lose, and that's the only reason I win. But I have to fight it in the coming week, and I will."

"But God willing, if I'm elected, then this partnership will continue to bring security and bring peace," he added.

'PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH': TRUMP GAZA PLAN GAINS GLOBAL BACKING ONE YEAR ON

NETANYAHU REJECTS REPORTS OF A RIFT WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP, SAYS THE TWO REMAIN ALIGNED ON IRAN

Netanyahu is Israel's longest-serving prime minister and has worked closely with Trump during both of Trump's presidential terms. While their relationship remains close, it has not been without friction.

Earlier this year, Trump confirmed reports of a heated phone call during which he called Netanyahu "f---ing crazy" over Israel's military operations in Lebanon. Trump also emphasized that he "really love[s] Bibi" and works with him "excellently." Netanyahu later described the disagreement on CNBC as "tactical disagreements" that happen "in the best of families."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

The full interview airs Saturday, Oct. 17, at 8 p.m. ET on "Life, Liberty & Levin."

Former US ambassador says South Korea prosecuted him over speech made on American soil

If found guilty former Amb. Morse Tan could face prison time for defaming the South Korean president over remarks he made in the US and Seoul

A former U.S. diplomat appeared in court in South Korea Friday facing charges of defamation against President Lee Jae Myung for comments made on American soil in a case that has left him stranded in the Asian country.

Morse Tan's troubles began after he delivered a talk in June 2025 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., and responded to a question where he brought up the South Korean leader's alleged involvement in a crime as an adolescent.

Since visiting the country in May, Tan has not been allowed to leave due to the case against him, having been charged under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., and the Criminal Act.

Tan issued his remarks about Lee’s alleged juvenile crimes at a National Press Club event titled: "Report on Election Fraud in the June 3 South Korean Presidential election." In response to a question about President Lee and other issues, Tan responded by citing allegations from a few years back that Lee was involved in a gang rape and murder when he was a teenager. He added that Lee, now 62, was sent to a juvenile detention center and did not complete junior high and high school.

SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT JUMPS TO INVEST IN MILITARY AFTER TRUMP CUTS JOINT EXERCISES

South Korean prosecutors say the criminal allegations against Lee are unsubstantiated, according to the Korea JoongAng Daily. The outlet wrote that they said Lee had not "been prevented from attending middle or high school due to such a criminal record."

Another South Korean news outlet, KBS World reported that "the prosecution previously verified that there was no record of Lee’s being incarcerated at a juvenile detention center and concluded that the rumors about his incarceration were false."

Asia Business Daily reported that Tan's attorney said that "Even if jurisdiction is recognized, the statements did not present false information, and Tan was not aware that they were false," adding, "He had no intention to defame."

Tan told Fox News Digital on Friday that he "pleaded not guilty because I believe that Lee Jae Myung is guilty" during his hearing at the Seoul Central District Court.

OVER 50 HOUSE MEMBERS ACCUSE SOUTH KOREA'S NEW LEFT-WING GOVERNMENT OF ATTACKING US COMPANIES, FAVORING CHINA

Tan, who has taught constitutional law and served as the dean of Liberty University’s law school, told Fox News Digital his "protected speech is about as protected as it gets." He said South Korea’s prosecutor invoked "criminal defamation, a dubious category which does not exist in the U.S.," to prosecute him.

A spokesperson for the South Korean Embassy in Washington, D.C. told Fox News Digital, "This case is being handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, established principles and due process in the Republic of Korea and the restriction on departure is also imposed and reviewed accordingly."

Tan says he is disappointed that the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, Michelle Steel, a former Republican congresswoman from California, has not publicly commented on Tan’s legal case — both Steel and Tan are Korean-Americans.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson declined to comment on the specifics of the case.

"The Trump Administration has no higher priority than the safety and security of Americans," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "Due to privacy and other considerations, we have nothing further to share at this time."

Tan said the case against him violated his due process rights, and the South Korean judicial system lacks jurisdiction to bring the case. He added that the second charge against him involves his July 2025 talk in South Korea, where he "raised some issues as questions" involving the president. "This is political lawfare. This is a persecution, not a prosecution," he said.

TRUMP SHOULD PRESS XI ON CHINA’S PERSECUTION OF BELIEVERS AT HOME AND ABROAD

Tan believes the motivation for seeking to criminalize his free speech stems from the South Korean government’s view of him as a "threat" and an outspoken critic of Lee’s alleged appeasement policy toward the North Korean communist regime.

"People consider me to be leading a movement against the communizing of South Korea," Tan said.

Tan accused the present government of being aligned with North Korean and Chinese communist regimes "against the U.S. and the Korean people."

Tan points to bias against him by South Korean authorities, who he says prohibited him from attending the funeral of his grandmother, while it allows South Korean prisoners to attend funerals for family members.

KBS World reported that the "Police, who had initially decided not to hand over Tan’s case to the prosecution, launched a reinvestigation at the prosecution’s request."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

National Review Online also reported that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Cyber dismissed a complaint about Tan’s alleged defamatory statements in April 2026, declaring "no right to prosecute."

According to South Korean law, Tan could face a prison term if found guilty.

Here's some tips on how to organize photos with keywords on your phone

Learn how to tag and find photos on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel without scrolling through thousands of pictures

Your phone probably holds thousands of pictures. Some are important family memories, while others are screenshots you saved because you thought you might need them later. Then comes the frustrating part. You remember taking a particular photo, but finding it feels like searching for a needle in a digital haystack.

Apple's iOS 27 offers a way to make that search easier by letting you add keywords to individual photos. Instead of scrolling through months of pictures, you can search for a word you've assigned to a photo and pull it up again.

Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel users have similar ways to organize their pictures, although the tools work differently. Here's how to take advantage of them and spend less time hunting for photos.

Join our upcoming CyberGuy LIVE class: 5 Ways to Travel Smarter and Save Money

In this free live online class, Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson will share five practical ways to protect your trip and your wallet this holiday travel season. However, automatic searches don't always understand why a particular photo is important to you. That's where manually assigned keywords can help.

For example, you might photograph a parking spot at an airport or save a picture of a particular appliance model number. Adding a keyword you will remember later can make the photo much easier to find.

Add keywords to photos in iOS 27

These instructions are based on an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 27.

Open the Photos app on your iPhone.

Find and open the photo you want to organize.

Tap the Info (ⓘ) icon or swipe up on the photo.

Tap Add Keywords.

Enter the keyword or keywords you want to associate with the picture.

Tap the checkmark icon to save your changes.

If you want to edit or add more keywords later, you can tap Edit .

Choose words that make sense to you. For example, a picture of your car's license plate might get a keyword such as "license plate." You could also tag pictures from a family vacation with a memorable trip name.

How to find photos using keywords on iPhone

Once you've added keywords, searching for those pictures takes only a few seconds.

Open the Photos app.

Tap the Search icon, which looks like a magnifying glass.

Type one of the keywords you previously added.

Look for a suggested search result with the Aa symbol.

Tap that result to see photos and videos associated with the keyword.

You can also manage your keywords by opening Photos > Collections > your profile icon > Manage Keywords. From there, you can rename keywords, delete them or add frequently used keywords to your favorites.

Pro tip: Start with photos you actually struggle to find. Important documents, appliance labels and travel information are useful candidates. There's no need to spend an entire weekend tagging your photo library.

How to organize photos on Samsung Galaxy

Samsung Galaxy phones also let you add tags to pictures using the built-in Gallery app. That means you can assign your own keywords and search for them later, much like you can on an iPhone. Depending on your Galaxy model and Gallery version, the exact location of the tagging controls may vary. However, Samsung supports manual photo tagging on compatible devices.

Add tags to photos on Samsung Galaxy

Here's how to tag a picture using Samsung Gallery.

Open the Gallery app.

Select the photo you want to organize.

Swipe up on the photo to open its details, or tap the Details icon (ⓘ) if it appears at the bottom of the screen.

Select Add tag.

Enter a keyword or phrase that describes the picture.

Tap Save.

On some Galaxy versions, you may need to tap Edit in the photo's details to add a tag. If you don't see the option, make sure your Gallery app is updated.

How to find tagged photos on Samsung Galaxy

Once you've tagged a photo, you can use the Gallery's search feature to find it again.

Open the Gallery app.

Tap the Search icon.

Enter the tag you assigned to the photo.

Select the matching picture from the search results.

For example, you could tag pictures of your home appliances with their model names. Later, when you need a serial number or replacement part, you can search for the tag instead of scrolling through your entire camera roll.

Create an album on Samsung Galaxy

Albums offer another way to keep related pictures together, especially when you want to organize several photos from the same event or project.

Open Gallery.

Tap Albums.

Tap the plus (+) icon or the option to create a new album.

Choose Create album or Album if prompted.

Give your album a descriptive name.

Tap Create.

Select the photos you want to add.

Tap Done.

If prompted with "Copy or move items?", choose Move to move the photos into the new album or Copy to create duplicates in the new album.

For example, you could create an album for home repairs and keep pictures of paint colors, appliance labels and receipts in one place.

Pro tip: If you regularly photograph product labels or serial numbers, keep them together in an album called "Home information." You'll appreciate having those pictures handy when something breaks.

HOW TO SAVE A VIDEO FRAME AS A PHOTO ON YOUR PHONE

How to organize photos on Google Pixel

Google Pixel phones take a different approach. Instead of relying on manually assigned keywords, Google Photos uses automatic recognition to help you find pictures based on what's in them. For example, you can search for "dog," "beach" or "receipt" and Google Photos may find relevant pictures without requiring you to tag them first. You can also create albums to organize pictures you want to keep together.

How to find photos using Google Photos

Google Photos can recognize many objects, places and other details in your pictures. Here's how to use its built-in search feature.

Open the Google Photos app.

Tap Search at the bottom of the screen.

Enter a word describing what you're looking for , such as receipt , dog or beach .

Browse the matching pictures.

Google Photos can often identify objects and locations without requiring you to manually label every picture. However, results depend on what the app can recognize, so you may need to try a different search term if your first attempt doesn't find the right photo.

How to create albums on Google Pixel

If you prefer organizing pictures yourself, albums offer a straightforward way to group related photos.

Open Google Photos.

Touch and hold a photo, then select any additional pictures you want to organize.

Tap Add to album.

Create a new album.

Enter a descriptive album name.

Tap Done.

To find your albums later, open Google Photos > Collections > Albums.

You can create albums for vacations, family events or important household information. That way, pictures you frequently need are grouped together instead of scattered throughout your photo library.

Find receipts and documents in Google Photos

Google Photos also offers a useful feature for organizing certain documents automatically. On supported versions, backed-up pictures of receipts and other paperwork may appear in a dedicated Documents collection.

To check, open Google Photos > Collections > Documents. If Google Photos recognizes documents in your backed-up pictures, you may find them organized into categories.

This can be particularly helpful when you're trying to locate a receipt or another document you photographed months ago.

Pro tip: Try searching Google Photos before creating dozens of albums. You may discover that it already recognizes much of what you're looking for.

Smart ways to organize photos without wasting hours

You don't need a complicated system to keep your pictures under control. In fact, a few consistent habits can make a bigger difference than spending hours organizing every image you've ever taken.

Start with photos you know you'll need again. Travel confirmations and warranty information are good candidates. Then choose simple names that you'll remember when searching.

Avoid overly specific labels that might be difficult to recall months later. For example, "kitchen repair" will probably be easier to remember than the exact date you photographed a broken dishwasher.

Also, remember that photo organization doesn't replace a backup. Important pictures should be protected through a trusted cloud backup service or another reliable backup method. And if you're photographing sensitive information, think carefully about whether you want those pictures stored in a cloud account.

STOP LOSING PHOTO QUALITY WHEN YOU SHARE PICTURES

Kurt's key takeaways

I've lost count of how many times I've taken a photo specifically so I wouldn't forget something, only to spend several minutes trying to find it later. A simple keyword or well-named album can solve a surprisingly annoying problem. What I like about Apple's approach is the ability to assign a word that means something to you. Your phone might recognize a picture of a car, but it doesn't necessarily know that you took it because you needed to remember where you parked. Samsung Galaxy users can take advantage of manual tags, too, while Google Pixel owners have powerful automatic search tools built into Google Photos. My advice is to start small. Organize the pictures you'll actually need again, and let your phone's built-in search handle the rest.

Would you rather have your phone automatically analyze every picture to make it searchable, or would you prefer more control over how your personal photos are labeled and organized?
Indiana's battle against Ohio State at Memorial Stadium highlights Hoosiers' strong commitment to the military

The Golden Book, a handwritten record dating to 1898, shows every military-connected student and staff member in IU history

There are a couple of anti-aircraft guns and part of the USS Indiana, including the mast, sitting outside Memorial Stadium on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington.

It’s all a tribute to the men and women from Indiana who have served in the armed forces of the United States.

As No. 5 Indiana, the defending national champion, hosts No. 4 Ohio State in a Big Ten college football mega-tilt on Saturday at Memorial Stadium, OutKick's Game of the Week, the connection between sporting events on campus and the military is undeniable.

THE CIGNETTI EFFECT IS REAL: INDIANA FOOTBALL SPARKS AN UNBELIEVABLE 'REVIVAL' IN BLOOMINGTON

The importance of the military every single day at Indiana University is also undeniable.

"IU definitely has an upper echelon of military history, and they do really treat their military personnel with a lot of respect," said Vasiliios Koultourides, a senior at Indiana and a member of the Indiana National Guard. "They do really care about us. "

EXCLUSIVE: NEW AMERICA 250 MONUMENT LETS FAMILIES FIND MILITARY RELATIVES IN SECONDS: 'I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES'

And Indiana University cares about its military history, not just by displaying relics outside the football stadium, but by chronicling the military service of every single person with ties to the university with a cherished, one-of-a-kind piece of history carefully and respectfully housed inside the school’s Memorial Student Union on campus.

The Golden Book at Indiana has its own hallowed room there. Dating back to 1898, the book is now a fragile specimen, protected in a clear plastic box that still allows for viewing.

A GENERATION CANNOT REMEMBER 9/11. WE HAVE A DUTY TO MAKE SURE THEY LEARN

The Indiana Daily Student began the initiative to document military service by IU students and staff by publishing a list of those who served in the Spanish-American War. Next was an effort to compile a list of those who had served in the Civil War.

According to Indiana University’s website, each of the 152 pages of the book "lists the names of veterans as well as donors to IU’s Memorial Fund, which sponsored the construction of three buildings on campus in honor of those men and women: Memorial Hall, Indiana Memorial Union, and Memorial Stadium.

UNIVERSITIES ACROSS AMERICA HONOR THE VICTIMS OF THE 9/11 TERRORIST ATTACKS WITH MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMBS

"Inside the book, carefully written by hand, are the names of IU alumni who served in the War of 1812, the Black Hawk War, the Mexican War, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, the Philippine Insurrection, the Mexican Border Expedition, World War I, and World War II."

In 2016, Indiana University began a digital version of the Golden Book and now more than 25,000 names are listed.

‘THEIR SOULS ARE IN THAT STEEL’: 9/11 BEAM MAKES EMOTIONAL STOP IN INDIANAPOLIS BEFORE RETURN TO NYC

"I just think it's the coolest thing ever, and I think it's so unique," said Indiana student Zainab Diouf, who is a member of the Indiana National Guard. "No other school has that, so I think it's such a cool thing, and I really encourage if you're here at IU to go see it."

Koultourides certainly remembers the first time he saw the book. He was touring the Indiana campus while still in high school. The Golden Book mesmerized him.

VAN HIPP: WHY THE ARMY SHOULD RESTORE ITS GRASSROOTS LINK TO AMERICA'S COMMUNITIES

"I was like, whoa, I’ve never seen anything like this before. It's like a little chapel kind of, but I remember walking up to the book and just looking at it, and that's when it kind of hit me like, oh, this is a memorial for everyone that's ever been (in the military). It’s amazing to see how they've kept such in-depth records about these people's lives and service. It means a lot to know that you're not forgotten, and you'll forever be there and remembered. It's really cool to see."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

Indeed, make no mistake, Indiana University doesn’t forget its veterans, or its military-connected students. The school features a comprehensive Center for Veterans and Military Students that offers assistance with benefits, funding, scholarships, career guidance and more.

"The Center for Veterans and Military Students is awesome," Koultourides said." It's a nice area where you can sit, study, and then also meet individuals that are just like you who have shared experiences. Which is really important for a lot of people who have gone and actually deployed, and they come back to school."

Elsewhere on campus, Indiana’s military members are treated with equal importance.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. In addition, military students and veterans have a role in countless athletic events, from running the color guard to helping the cheerleaders fire up the crowd.

At football games, military students pound out pushups after touchdowns. They also fire off a cannon.

"We just have such a big military-oriented culture here. At the football games, you'll see the ROTC on the field cheering on, helping cheer with the cheerleaders. I feel like IU just really loves its veterans and its veteran students and allows us to be students while understanding our service."

SIGN UP FOR THE DAILY OUTKICK NEWSLETTER

That gratitude isn't lost on the students who have committed themselves to our country.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

"It's a really nice experience for all of us to really have the opportunity (to be a part of IU's athletic culture)," Koultourides said.
College Football Playoff expansion is just the latest example of why 'growing the game' isn't always healthy

Conference realignment and an unfettered transfer portal already have college football looking more like the NFL by the day

"Grow the game."

It's a phrase you hear quite often on social media these days, particularly with more "niche" sports like hockey or golf.

Just this past week, a different sport has made yet another attempt to "grow the game," as college football announced it will be expanding its playoff from 12 to 24 teams sometime in the near future.

Plenty has been written on why this is a bad idea, mostly with regard to destroying what was once the greatest and most consequential regular season in sports, and while I share those sentiments, I'm looking to attack this from a different angle.

This isn't even the first time college football has attempted to "grow the game" and appeal to a wider audience.

HERE'S WHY THE COACHES ASSOCIATION'S 24-TEAM COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF COULD RUIN THE SPORT

The College Football Playoff, since its very inception, was created in part to appease those who cried that the BCS was an unfair and antiquated system.

So we went to a four-game model, then a 12-game model, and now that 12 isn't enough, we have moved to 24.

CFP, NCAA TOURNAMENT EXPANSION BOTH DRAW BACKLASH, BUT ONE IS DEFINITIVELY WORSE THAN THE OTHER

Surely, that's the end of it, right?

If 24 is good, is 32 better? Where is the limiting principle?

And it's not just the Playoff, either.

Conference expansion and realignment, as well as an unfettered transfer portal, has college football looking more and more like the NFL by the day, and that's by design.

SEC, BIG TEN ARE DOMINATING COLLEGE FOOTBALL THANKS TO MASSIVE ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER CONFERENCES

One of the biggest arguments I've seen in favor of the expanded CFP is that the NFL has a certain percentage of its teams make the postseason, and that a 24-team model will have those numbers look closer to the NFL.

With all due respect, if I wanted to watch the NFL, I'd just watch the NFL.

HERE'S WHY, EVEN WITH ALL ITS PROBLEMS, COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS STILL BETTER THAN THE NFL

Can we stop trying to turn college football into something that "everyone" wants to watch?

Because you're not just appealing to a wider audience, you're appealing to a lowest common denominator as a result.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

College football was never the most popular sport in America, but it was certainly the most beloved.

Fans were insanely passionate and regionally focused, and the game reflected that.

The folks who "didn't get it" were more than welcome to tune out.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

I understand from a money perspective why college football is trying to "grow the game," and my colleague Trey Wallace wrote a great piece about that, but sacrificing the will of loyal fans for the almighty dollar is unhealthy for the sport long term.

I mentioned the NHL trying to "grow the game," and while that has gotten them slightly more exposure, it's also attracted fans who read "Heated Rivalry" with pronouns and "Free Palestine" in their social media bio.

College football isn't for everyone.
John Goodman admits he felt 'frightened' after the sudden fame he experienced from 'Roseanne'

The Emmy-winning show made Goodman a household name, but he says he had 'a bad time' dealing with fame

John Goodman is getting real about the downside of starring in one of the biggest sitcoms of all time.

During a conversation with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, the 74-year-old actor admitted he was "frightened" by the level of fame he achieved following his starring role in "Roseanne" and other projects.

When asked what his biggest pitfalls were that he wished he would have foreseen, he replied he wished he would have understood fame better.

"I wish I would have taken to it better," he said. "I didn't. I was frightened … I'm my own worst enemy, by far."

ROSEANNE BARR HASN’T SPOKEN TO TV SISTER LAURIE METCALF SINCE SHOW’S CANCELLATION

Earlier in the conversation with interviewer Joe Neumaier, Goodman was asked about the way his career picked up in the late ‘80s and early '90s, and how he shifted from being a more independent actor to being a celebrity.

"It changed ,'" he said. "That's when I was told, ‘You better get a publicist and get a hold of this stuff.’ And I just … I had a bad time dealing with how famous I got all of a sudden, and just [said], ‘Well, that ain’t me.'"

He added, "It took a long time to deal with it, so I got that out of the way. But just the negotiations you have to go through, the things you have to do to sell a film, they're not ideal, but they need to be done. People put a lot of money into these things, and let's help each other out and get this done. They have a job to do, and you have to support it."

At another point in the interview, Goodman shared he agreed to do "Roseanne" "to quit living out of a suitcase," adding that he "hit it off with [Roseanne Barr] immediately, to the point where, and not in an arrogant way, I just knew when I left that I had the job."

"Roseanne" aired on ABC for nine seasons from 1988 to 1997, releasing 222 episodes in its first run and winning four Emmy Awards.

"At the time, the hot shows in television were all wealth porn, like 'Dynasty,' 'Dallas,' stuff like that. And we were sober reality," he said. "Rose said something early on that 'just because we're poor doesn't make us stupid.' And the reason that family stayed together was because of laughter and obvious love. And I think that showed on the screen in a real way."

Following his time on "Roseanne," Goodman starred in many successful movies, including "The Flintstones," "The Big Lebowski," "Monsters Inc." and others, before returning to the role of Dan Conner in the "Roseanne" reboot in 2018.

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

While successful, the reboot only lasted one season, as it was quickly canceled after Barr made a racist statement on social media in reference to President Barak Obama's senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett.

Just a few weeks later, ABC announced that the show's cast would be returning for a new spin-off, "The Conners," without Barr. The show aired for 112 episodes from 2018 to 2025, with Goodman filming that and "The Righteous Gemstones" at the same time.

"I didn’t think [the 'Roseanne' reboot] was going to go beyond the initial five or six episodes. I thought it’d be a one-off thing, and then we got picked up, and Roseanne got fired," he told The Hollywood Reporter in July 2025. "I thought that was it, and as soon as they dismissed the cast, I picked up 'Righteous Gemstones.' Then we got to do the show again as 'The Conners.' I didn’t know how long it would last, but I sure enjoyed it while I was there."

When speaking to the outlet, he also shared that he and Barr had not spoken "for about seven or eight years" at the time, adding "I’d rather doubt if she wants to talk to me."

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? "I think they said he'll do six of the 24 or something like that."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

'Moderate' AG's office turned to groups that spent years suing prisons for recruiting help: emails reveal

Internal emails show her chief deputy solicited hiring help from organizations that support defunding the police

EXCLUSIVE — Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office repeatedly sought recruiting help from two prominent left-wing legal groups that spent years suing the state’s corrections department alongside Mayes’ top deputy, internal emails obtained by Fox News Digital show.

Chief Deputy Attorney General Daniel Barr sought recommendations from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Berkeley-based Prison Law Office (PLO) for attorneys to handle Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) work inside the Attorney General’s Office and later for candidates to serve as ADCRR general counsel, according to the emails.

Barr already had a long history with both groups before joining Mayes’ office. Prior to his position in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, he was a partner at Perkins Coie, where he spent years litigating alongside the ACLU and PLO in a federal case that ultimately resulted in a judge finding Arizona’s prison conditions to be constitutionally inadequate.

Both groups advocate substantial changes to incarceration policy. The ACLU has pursued a nationwide goal of cutting jail and prison populations by 50% through reforms including decriminalization, bail reform, shorter sentences and clemency, and has called for reductions in immigration detention. The PLO, meanwhile, says it works to reduce incarceration while also litigating on issues related to prison conditions, medical care, disability rights and solitary confinement.

'THRILL KILLER' AND DESERT EXECUTIONER — MEET THE DOZENS OF CRIMINALS DEM AG BACKED FOR PAROLE: 'NO BRAINER'

In November's general election, Mayes is slated to face Arizona state Sen. Warren Petersen, a Republican, as she seeks to defend her role as the top law enforcement officer in the state. Mayes won her 2022 race by just 280 votes, one of the narrowest margins in state history.

"Maybe FOX News should start with the facts: the ACLU has repeatedly sued Kris Mayes over issues where they disagreed with her," Delaney Corcoran, the campaign manager for Mayes' re-election campaign, told Fox News Digital when asked about the email correspondence.

"Mayes has consistently fought for funding for Arizona police and cartel task forces — and stands shoulder to shoulder with Arizona sheriffs and police. Together, Mayes and law enforcement have seized 27 million fentanyl pills off of our streets, more than any other Attorney General in state history."

Mayes has defended Arizona against lawsuits from the ACLU challenging laws that allowed state and local police to arrest people illegally entering the country between ports of entry and restricted when people could film police officers. She later settled with the ACLU in the police filming case, agreeing to permanently prohibit the unconstitutional police recording law.

Though Mayes describes herself as a "moderate" and sparred with liberal legal groups, Barr — one of her top aides — repeatedly sought candidate recommendations from the progressive ACLU and PLO for corrections-related legal roles.

DRAG QUEENS, TRANS PASTOR, ABORTION RALLIES: INSIDE DEM GOVERNOR HOPEFUL'S PROGRESSIVE CHURCH

"I am looking to bring as much ADCRR work back in-house as possible in the Arizona AG’s Office. To do that, I need to hire attorneys to represent ADCRR in numerous capacities. If you know of anyone who may be interested in helping to turnaround things around here, please let me know," Barr wrote to representatives of the ACLU and PLO in February 2023.

In April of that year, Barr again turned to the groups, this time seeking possible candidates for ADCRR’s top legal position.

"Let me know if you have any suggested candidates," he wrote, forwarding an email to PLO and ACLU representatives soliciting applications for ADCRR general counsel. When his efforts to fill the role of ADCRR’s top lawyer bore no fruit, he again turned to the two groups.

"Still no takers for the ADCRR general counsel job. If you have any suggestions, please let me know," he wrote to them on May 11, 2023.

That same day, ACLU National Prison Project director David Fathi responded, promising to "redouble" his efforts to find a candidate for Barr.

Among the priorities of the ACLU National Prison Project are "substantially reducing the incarcerated population" and promoting a criminal justice system in which incarceration is used only as a "last resort." Fathi has also criticized relying on police and prisons to address drug problems, stating in one social media post that "we will never solve drug problems with police and prisons."

Corene Kendrick, the deputy director of the National Prison Project, responded in turn to Barr's email that one of her possible recommendations was already "enjoying suing ADCRR in civil rights damages cases in her spare time of running her café in Carrizozo," showing that at least one prospective candidate being floated to Barr had experience suing ADCRR in civil-rights cases.

SOCIALISTS SET SIGHTS ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF GOVERNMENT AS GOP WARNS OF BIGGER PLAN UNFOLDING

Fox News Digital only obtained email records, not call transcripts or in-person meeting minutes, so it’s unclear what further assistance, if any, the PLO and ACLU gave the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. ADCRR ultimately hired Ashley Oddo to serve as its general counsel.

Before joining ADCRR, Oddo led Arizona State University’s Academy for Justice and had backed several criminal-justice positions associated with the left, including addressing systemic racism in policing and pardoning people convicted of nonviolent federal marijuana offenses.

Oddo has no institutional affiliation with the ACLU or the PLO nor was her name mentioned by either organization in email communications with Barr.

Other communications obtained and reviewed by Fox News Digital show a cordial relationship between Barr and staffers working for the ACLU and PLO. Fathi, for instance, requested a phone conversation with Barr in February 2023, and Barr responded two minutes later. Fathi disclosed in another email that the director of ADCRR reached out to him "to schedule a call about working together on ADCRR issues."

Don Specter, a longtime PLO attorney, also reported having a "productive meeting" with the head of ADCRR in June 2023.

To reduce incarceration, the PLO has pursued litigation that contributed to court-ordered reductions in California’s prison population, supported credit systems that can advance release or parole eligibility, and advocated reentry programs allowing eligible people to serve portions of their sentences in the community.

The organizations Barr turned to for recruiting assistance have taken positions on policing and incarceration that differ sharply from Mayes’ public law-and-order posture.

ARIZONA DEM AG BLASTED FOR 'DANGEROUS' CLAIM RESIDENTS CAN SHOOT ICE AGENTS UNDER STATE LAWS

"As Attorney General, Mayes has been a partner to law enforcement, delivering millions of dollars in funding and resources so border sheriffs and Arizona police can keep us safe," her campaign website reads. "She has locked up drug cartel members, seized more than 27 million deadly fentanyl pills off our streets and gone after criminals trying to take advantage of our kids."

The ACLU, meanwhile, has explicitly advocated defunding or divesting from police departments and redirecting resources toward other community services — publishing blogs with titles such as "Defunding the Police Will Actually Make Us Safer" and "Local Officials: Pledge to Divest from Police and Reinvest in Black Communities." Additionally, the legal advocacy group has urged Congress to cut federal police funding while also calling on state and local leaders to reduce law enforcement spending.

The PLO likewise advocates reducing incarceration, expanding release opportunities and increasing community-based alternatives.

Those positions differ sharply from Mayes’ stated position on police funding. During her 2022 campaign, Mayes responded with "a resounding no" when asked whether she supported defunding the police.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Barr, Fathi, Oddo, Specter, Kendrick, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the ACLU and the PLO did not respond to requests for comment when reached by Fox News Digital on Monday.

5 reasons Americans are no longer inviting guests into their homes

Busier schedules, shrinking friendship networks and the appeal of streaming are driving a decline in home hosting

The dinner party may be dying in America, with hosting at home far less common than it was in past decades, a new analysis found.

Only 67% of Americans said they entertained people in their homes at least once in the past year, down from 88% in 1995, according to an analysis by Data for Progress.

The think tank compared its own 2026 survey with a similar survey from 1995, noting that the two used different methods and therefore offer an indication of a trend rather than a precise measure of change.

LONELINESS MAY BE SILENTLY ERODING YOUR MEMORY, NEW RESEARCH REVEALS

The share of Americans who host friends or family at home at least once a month, meanwhile, plummeted from 42% in 1975 to 12% in 2026, The Atlantic reported.

Experts point to busier schedules, parenting demands, shrinking friendship networks and the appeal of at-home entertainment as some possible reasons for the decline.

1. They’re too tired to host

After a long day of work and family responsibilities, hosting can feel like yet another demand.

And with more women working, the social schedules they traditionally maintained, from parties to potlucks, have frayed, The Atlantic noted.

Working multiple jobs to make ends meet leaves people feeling burned out and without the same level of "social battery," Florida-based psychotherapist John Puls told Fox News Digital.

1 IN 6 ADULTS PLAGUED BY LONELINESS AS RESEARCHERS REVEAL LASTING IMPACT OF COVID PANDEMIC

"When you’ve spent the day working and taking care of your kids, hosting people can seem like just another task to complete, even though you’d love to see them," added Shebna N. Osanmoh I, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in California.

2. Expectations are too high

In an era where every moment might be shared on social media, many feel the need to make their gatherings picture-perfect.

"High expectations may clash with what people can realistically manage, making hosting feel stressful rather than enjoyable," said Wildaliz Caro, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist in Puerto Rico. "Trying to plan the perfect gathering can fuel pressure to impress others."

NEARLY 3 IN 4 AMERICANS ARE BATTLING THE SAME EXHAUSTING HEALTH PROBLEM, CDC REVEALS

Accommodating preferences and dietary needs can also feed that pressure, The Atlantic noted.

3. Hosting can get expensive

Experts agree that hosting takes more than just time — it takes money. With grocery prices still climbing, feeding a crowd can make even a casual get-together feel like a luxury.

5 REASONS MORE AMERICANS ARE CUTTING OFF THEIR OWN PARENTS, ACCORDING TO PSYCHOLOGIST

"Housing costs and smaller living spaces make hosting feel financially and practically harder," Daniel Schatz, Ph.D., a political scientist and former visiting scholar at Harvard, Stanford and Georgetown, told Fox News Digital.

4. There are fewer friends to invite

The share of Americans with five or more close friends dropped from 63% in 1990 to 38% in 2021, according to Data for Progress.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTER

"Americans spend more time alone, report fewer close friendships and participate less in the kinds of local institutions that once created regular social contact," Schatz said.

He warns that younger adults, people living alone, lower-income households and those without strong social networks are most affected.

The U.S. surgeon general’s 2023 advisory described loneliness and social isolation in America as an epidemic.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE HEALTH STORIES

Declining friendships can contribute to depression, anxiety and social isolation, Puls added, and he sees the trend most often among younger generations, while Gen Xers and baby boomers still commonly gather in person.

5. Screens make staying in easy

Puls said that adults are more inclined to stay home and stream movies and TV shows instead of hosting friends and family or going out.

"A dinner party requires planning, cleaning, coordination and a degree of social energy," Schatz added. "Streaming or scrolling requires none of those things."

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

But experts say bringing back casual get-togethers, even in small ways, can help people stay connected.

"The remedy need not be elaborate," Schatz said. "The most realistic response is to lower the threshold for gathering: a simple coffee, takeaway meal, walk or recurring 'come as you are' evening."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

He continued, "The point is not to revive the perfect dinner party. It is to rebuild the ordinary habits of seeing one another."

Trump spills details of dinner with Bill Maher, Stephen A. Smith and Kid Rock at the White House

Speaking of Maher, Trump said, 'He likes me a lot more than people understand'

President Donald Trump hosted an unexpected celebrity dinner at the White House Thursday night, bringing together a comedian, a prominent sports commentator and a country music star.

Speaking with reporters as he departed the White House on Friday, Trump revealed he dined with comedian Bill Maher, sports commentator Stephen A. Smith and musician Kid Rock Thursday night, according to C-SPAN.

"The dinner last night with Kid Rock and Stephen A. [Smith] and Bill Maher was great," Trump told reporters. "I think they had a good time." The president said that Maher "likes me a lot more than people understand."

TRUMP HOSTED A DINNER WITH – WAIT FOR IT – STEPHEN A SMITH, KID ROCK AND BILL MAHER

While Trump did not reveal the specific topics discussed at the meal, he suggested that the four men enjoyed their time together despite Maher's frequent criticism of the president.

"We talked about everything. It lasted a long time." he said.

BILL MAHER ADMITS HE ENJOYS WATCHING TRUMP GET COMBATIVE WITH JOURNALISTS IN TENSE INTERVIEWS

The president then went on to praise Kid Rock, Maher and Smith, while also revealing additional details of their evening at the White House.

"And I actually liked them," he continued. "We had a great time. We even took a little tour of the ballroom. We took a — we went inside the ballroom with beams that are being put up over our heads. But it was a great dinner. It was a very informative dinner. Smart people. Stephen A. is great," he said.

BILL MAHER CREDITS TRUMP’S ‘KICK-A--’ CRIME APPROACH AS VIOLENT OFFENSES FALL ACROSS AMERICA

Trump also praised Maher, one of his frequent critics.

"Bill Maher, I tell you what, he likes me a lot more than people understand," he said. "And I absolutely like him. It was a good dinner."

Fox News Digital reached out to Maher for comment.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE

Maher previously made headlines after he attended a White House dinner with Trump, Kid Rock and UFC CEO Dana White in April 2025. Afterward, he acknowledged that his previous impressions of the president's demeanor may have been mistaken, telling his audience that Trump was "more self-aware" in private.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"You can hate me for it, but I’m not a liar. Trump was gracious and measured," Maher said in 2025. "And why isn’t that in other settings- I don’t know, and I can’t answer, and it’s not my place to answer. I’m just telling you what I saw, and I wasn’t high."

However, Maher has not held back in his criticism of the president. In June, Maher mocked Trump's Iran agreement, saying Trump moved from demands for "unconditional surrender" to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) as the White House defended the framework as a foreign policy win.

"We got everything we wanted except for everything we asked for," Maher said on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."

More recently, Maher predicted a "classic historical a—whooping" for Republicans in the midterms and said, "Trump screwed the pooch." "That’s what happened. He got drunk with power."

Maher's apparent closeness with the president was noted by Axia Public Relations CEO Jason Mudd, who told Fox News Digital the dinner carried both reputational risks and rewards for each attendee.

"Bill Maher and other comedians tend to win by joking first and clarifying later. He also has a model. It’s the same one he used in April 2025 on ‘Real Time’ after his first White House dinner with President Trump. He reported what he saw, and said it plainly. The moment a host sounds like a surrogate, he loses the credibility that makes him worth quoting," Mudd said.

He added that each guest should have arrived at the dinner with a plan for responding to media questions afterward.

"A dinner this high-profile carries reputation risk and reward for each guest," Mudd said. "I advise anyone invited to a high-profile event to decide what they’ll say about it before, during and after, whether they accept the invitation or not."

– Fox News' CJ Womack contributed to this report.

Emmanuel Macron acknowledged student grievances but accused political forces of turning them into urban violence

Violent clashes broke out across France on Saturday as demonstrations entered a fourth week. Earlier in the week, President Emmanuel Macron made some of his most direct comments yet on the protests as he enters his final six months in office.

In his weekly cabinet meeting, Macron "stressed that young people have legitimate concerns," government spokeswoman Maud Bregeon told the AFP, "but these are being exploited for political purposes and turned into urban violence." Bregeon added that Macron called on his ministers to come up with "concrete responses" to the unrest within weeks.

This comes as a national day of protest over rising costs of living and additional student grievances led to violence in Paris and other major cities today. While many of the protests were without violence, police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse violent groups in the capital, where people wearing hoods and masks threw fireworks and other objects at officers in the Place de la République. The interior ministry reported assaults on police, looting and damage to public buildings, saying there have been at least 272 arrests nationwide.

FRANCE EXPLODES AGAIN AS STUDENTS RIOT OVER EDUCATION

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu took a more direct approach than Macron, saying the student movement has been "instrumentalized by the allies of France Unbowed (LFI)... for electoral reasons." The left-wing LFI’s presidential candidate, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, even participated in one of the Paris protests this week, while LFI councilors, deputies, and mayors have joined student blockades in multiple cities.

Elections to replace the term-limited Macron are set for April and May, and opposition parties have seized upon the ongoing unrest. Leading candidate Marine Le Pen, of the conservative National Rally party, has voiced support for the police, blaming students for any violence.

Senior Envoy to Europe at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Simone Rodan-Benzaquen, told Fox News Digital, "Macron is right that students can have legitimate grievances and that political forces are exploiting them. What is missing from that diagnosis is the state’s own responsibility for the loss of authority that makes this exploitation possible." She added, "Macron cannot speak about this simply as an observer. He has to answer for the institutions he leads… His challenge is to show that democracy can both solve problems and defend itself. Otherwise, the far left profits by calling the state oppressive, and the far right profits by calling it powerless."

BEHIND FRANCE'S STUDENT RIOTS: COMMUNISTS, UNIONS AND A GLOBAL PROPAGANDA NETWORK

Meanwhile, students, unions, rights groups and parents have accused the police of using excessive force against the students.

According to the AFP, the interior ministry has opened internal investigations into 36 allegations of police officer violence against demonstrators. But the national police union, Alliance Police Nationale, says it has filed a lawsuit against the government for "putting lives in danger" over what it called "contradictory orders" given to officers deployed in the protests.

The Alliance says officers felt "betrayed, abandoned, left to fend for themselves" by their political leaders because of their "unclear instructions" and what they said were public expressions of "empathy towards the rioters."

"This is the country of the French Revolution. Everyone boasts about it," police officer and union representative Walid Hrar told The Associated Press. "Some political parties don’t hesitate to say that we need to disobey the law. That’s what Robespierre and other revolutionaries taught us in 1789."

FRANCE IS DEVOURING ITSELF AS SCHOOL RIOTS REVEAL A CRISIS FAR BIGGER THAN BROKEN CLASSROOMS

"France always tends to react rather than anticipate," he added. "In other words, we’re always going to extremes."

On the sidelines of Friday’s European Council summit in Brussels, Macron again called for calm, saying, "There is a constitutional right to protest and to express oneself. But this right comes with the need to respect. Respect for people, respect for property, and therefore a commitment not to insult or destroy."

Lecornu told Parliament that 937 police officers and 149 teachers and school staff have been injured since the protests began, while the French justice ministry reports that nearly 8,000 people have been arrested.

Protests have also spread to neighboring Belgium. Several hundred mostly young people protested in Brussels today, according to Reuters, clashing with police in protests at least partly inspired by what is going on in France. A similar protest occurred in the French-speaking city of Liege. Student groups say they are protesting rising education costs and reforms they say will make higher education less accessible.

Belgian Interior Minister Bernard Quintin posted on X that what is happening in his country: "is no longer mere protest! It is pure and simple violence, organized and repeated to destabilize our society… All necessary means will be used to restore order in the face of the rioters."

Small solidarity events have also taken place in neighboring Luxembourg and the French-speaking parts of Switzerland, but they have been peaceful with no arrests reported. Student protests also occurred in India this week over education issues there, but they do not appear to be linked to the protests in France.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

French authorities have expressed hope that the protest movement will ease in coming days as schools nationwide are closed until Nov. 2 due to the Toussain, or All Saints’, holiday.

The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.

Michigan teen volleyball player files lawsuit after she unknowingly shared locker room with trans athlete

Briley Lechner of Monroe High School says officials concealed the presence of a biological male during a September match

A 16-year-old Michigan volleyball player suing her school district says she was frightened to learn days after a match that a transgender athlete had allegedly shared the girls' locker room, telling Fox News Digital she had no idea at the time and now worries about the privacy of female athletes.

Briley Lechner, a varsity volleyball player at Monroe High School in West Monroe, Mich., said she and her teammates routinely changed clothes, took pictures and recorded videos in the locker room without knowing that a transgender athlete from the opposing team was allegedly present.

"What's very scary is that the day that this happened, I had no clue that there was a boy on the other team," Lechner told Fox News Digital in an interview Thursday.

WOMEN WHO FACED BIOLOGICAL MALES IN GIRLS' SPORTS AND LOCKER ROOMS SPEAK OUT AHEAD OF WASHINGTON STATE VOTE

Lechner said the experience left her feeling uncomfortable and disrespected, arguing that female athletes should be able to expect privacy in spaces designated for girls.

Lechner and her father, Sean, filed a federal lawsuit on Oct. 9, announced by the Thomas More Law Center, raising Title IX and constitutional claims against Monroe Public Schools, the Michigan High School Athletic Association and school officials over the alleged incident.

WASHINGTON FEMALE WRESTLER APPEALS TITLE IX CASE OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT BY TRANS OPPONENT TO NINTH CIRCUIT

"I personally think that this is a very point-blank situation," Lechner said. "I think it's very straightforward. There should not be males competing in female sports, and so I realized that if my father and I just said, ‘OK, like whatever, you guys declined it, it is what it is, then nothing's going to change.'"

The lawsuit alleges that school officials knowingly concealed from the Monroe High School girls’ volleyball team and their parents that a Sept. 9, 2025, match with Ann Arbor’s Skyline High School included a biological male, according to the Thomas More Law Center.

COLORADO SCHOOL PARENTS SOUND ALARM AFTER DAUGHTERS WERE CUT FROM VOLLEYBALL TEAM WHILE TRANS ATHLETE PLAYS

The lawsuit also alleges that school officials defended their actions, dismissed the family's formal Title IX discrimination complaint and denied them a meaningful opportunity to appeal the decision.

Lechner said the lawsuit is so critical because fairness for women hangs in the balance.

"This is so important to me, and I want everyone to know that, because we play the sport, us female athletes play the sport, yes, for the sisterhood, yes, for the love of the game, but also girls take this seriously," Lechner said.

"Some girls want to play at a collegiate level, and so this is everyone's, like their life sometimes. They put their tears, their sweat, everything into it. And so this isn't just something so little, like, ‘Oh, it's just a high school sport.’ No, it's not, because it's also happening in college places. It's happening everywhere. It's happening in elementary school, it's all age ranges, and so if we allow it in one age range, it's going to continue."

AMERICANS CLASH OVER TRANSGENDER ATHLETES AS DEBATE HEATS UP: ‘JUST GETTING OUTRAGEOUS'

Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, echoed similar sentiments.

"This lawsuit is about much more than a single volleyball game," Thompson said in a statement. "It’s about whether public school officials can, with deliberative indifference, knowingly sacrifice the rights of female athletes to accommodate a biological male athlete, conceal that decision from the girls and their parents, and then evade accountability under federal law and the U.S. Constitution."

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Andrew Shaw, superintendent of Monroe Public Schools, said, "Monroe Public Schools is aware of recent reports regarding an alleged federal lawsuit, though the district has not been served with any lawsuit. We remain steadfast in our commitment to adhering to all state and federal guidelines and laws while upholding student safety. Should legal proceedings be initiated, the district will address the matter through the appropriate legal channels."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

The Michigan High School Athletic Association told Fox News Digital in a statement, "For many years, MHSAA policy in this area has been crafted to be fully compliant with federal and state law. We believe the claims made are legally unsound, and we will defend that position through the legal process. Due to the ongoing litigation, we will have no further comment at this time."

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver blindsides Sonics faithful by floating surprise expansion alternative

The commissioner is reportedly pushing to maximize franchise values, with Las Vegas bids expected to exceed $10B

Hold on, Adam Silver said what now?

The NBA commissioner informed league owners that Seattle is no longer a "lock" for expansion?

That's the word according to a new report from ESPN, and if you're a Seattleite, you just spit out your $9 oat-milk latte.

SACRAMENTO MAKES ITS CASE AS MLB'S NEXT EXPANSION CITY, CALLING ITSELF A MARKET TOO BIG TO IGNORE

Last March, all 30 of the NBA's owners voted in favor of exploring expansion in Seattle and Las Vegas. The thought was that this would finally lead to a Sonics return after the team left the Emerald City for Oklahoma City in 2008.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst was on television telling Seattle fans to get excited. But Friday, Windhorst's latest article left fans exasperated.

The acclaimed NBA reporter wrote that while Silver is a "full-go" on expanding to Vegas, Seattle is far from a guarantee. The commissioner reportedly mentioned Mexico City as an expansion alternative in a meeting with the board of governors last month.

ROGER GOODELL DETAILS NFL EXPANSION POSSIBILITIES AND A TIMETABLE FOR A FULL SEASON OF INTERNATIONAL GAMES

This didn't officially break any promises, but it did seem to violate an unwritten understanding.

It was no accident that the aforementioned owners' vote named Vegas and Seattle exclusively. The former is one of the world's foremost entertainment capitals, and the latter has a starving fan base and state-of-the-art venue in Climate Pledge Arena.

Just as notably, One Roof Sports — the group spearheading the Sonics' return — recently landed a billionaire backer in Melinda French Gates. Done deal, right?

Not so much.

At the heart of all this is Silver's attempt to increase franchise values across the league. And right now, the expectation is that bids for a new team in Vegas could exceed $10 billion. Seattle's bids, meanwhile, are expected to be substantially lower, perhaps because the city already has an NBA-ready arena.

Prospective owners don't just want revenue from ticket sales and television contracts. They want the money that comes with controlling an arena, too. Luxury suites and premium seating. Concessions and merchandise. Sponsorships and advertising. Naming rights, concerts and other events.

But an ownership group outside One Roof Sports wouldn't necessarily have access to those revenue streams without negotiating a deal with the arena's operators. And building another venue would add billions to an already enormous investment — assuming the city would even approve a second NBA arena.

That gives One Roof a significant advantage over competing Seattle bidders and little incentive to offer anything close to $10 billion.

But Silver has leverage of his own. And that's where Mexico City comes in.

LAS VEGAS PRICES SQUEEZE EVERYDAY TRAVELERS AS POPULAR CITY EMBRACES EXPENSIVE MAKEOVER

By floating a city south of the border, Silver is saying that the league can go elsewhere. Could it just be posturing to drive up Seattle's bids? Yeah. But Silver has made no promises to Seattle — nor has he committed to adding two teams at once, assuming he adds two at all.

This, of course, is driving some people in the Emerald City bonkers. As former Seattle Post-Intelligencer sports columnist Jim Moore posted on X above a picture of Silver: "This s—t is laughable. It never ends. When does Seattle finally say f—k off to this guy?"

Understandable reaction. Sonics fans have been jerked around for 18 years. But Silver has a job to do — dirty as it may seem.

His responsibility isn't to make things right with Seattle. It's to get the best possible deal for the league's 30 existing owners. And if invoking Mexico City helps him squeeze another billion or two out of a Seattle bidder, don't expect him to apologize.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Just don't expect Sonics fans to forgive him, either.

Capt. Tim Hawkins tells Fox News Digital that 'what the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran is doing is unjustified'

The "vast majority" of Iran's attempted attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz are "unsuccessful" as the key waterway remains open for transit, U.S. Central Command Spokesperson U.S. Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins told Fox News Digital this week.

Hawkins spoke after CENTCOM said the GFS Pride, a Singapore-flagged, Cyprus-owned container ship was hit by an Iranian projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday and sunk while being towed ashore due to a fire on board the ship.

"The vast majority of Iran's attempted attacks on innocent civilian mariners transiting an international waterway, being the Strait of Hormuz, they are unsuccessful. As a matter of fact, the U.S. military has assisted in providing coordinated protection for thousands of ships that have safely transited," Hawkins said. "That translates to about 97% of the ships that have sought to transit the Strait of Hormuz have done so successfully without being hit by an Iranian projectile.

"But let's be clear here, what the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran is doing is unjustified and it's also unsuccessful because they are not achieving their objective of closing the Strait of Hormuz," he added. "It is open, it is available for transit, and we've seen that transit continue this very day."

LIVE UPDATES: IRANIAN ARMY SPOKESPERSON SAYS STRAIT OF HORMUZ WILL REOPEN 'IF AMERICA LEAVES THE REGION'

In an update Friday from CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper, he said, "In recent days and months, we have seen the IRGC continually attack merchant ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, and in many cases kill innocent civilian mariners.

"The International Maritime Organization reports that more than 20 civilian mariners have been killed by Iran's attacks against commercial shipping since February," Cooper continued.

"Over the last seven days alone, about 400 merchant ships have sailed through the Strait. U.S. forces have also assisted Gulf partners in shipping over 100 million barrels of crude oil during the same period, adding to the more than 1.3 billion barrels of crude we have helped regional allies ship through the Strait in recent months," he added.

Hawkins also told Fox News Digital that he thinks "every American should be proud of American service members who are serving across the Middle East, in particular focusing on doing two things at once as it relates to Iran.

VIDEO: ISRAEL'S AMBASSADOR TO THE UN ISSUES STARK WARNING TO IRAN, HEZBOLLAH DURING ELECTION PERIOD

"And one is helping maintain flow through the Strait of Hormuz in the form of commercial vessels despite Iran's unjustified aggression," Hawkins said, noting that thousands of ships have crossed through the waterway over the last few months, "in addition to more than 1 billion barrels of crude oil.

"At the same time that they are encouraging traffic flow in support of international shipping, they are maintaining a steel wall blockade against Iran. There have been no exports or imports to Iran without U.S. permission in the form of allowing humanitarian ships to go through," Hawkins continued. "So that shows the precision, dedication, and professionalism of our troops who are executing this complex mission — not just one — but two at the same time."

More than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently stationed across the Middle East, according to Hawkins.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"They are highly vigilant, they are highly dedicated, and they're serving with courage and bravery. And they're doing so alongside our regional allies and partners. It shouldn't be forgotten that we continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Gulf allies and partners to help them defend their airspace from unjustified and unwarranted attacks from Iran, and we have been highly successful in working together, and will continue to do that," he said.

Fox News' Liz Friden contributed to this report.

Lane Kiffin's son faces Arch Manning-style scrutiny after eye-opening high school blowout

Lane Kiffin's son threw highlight-reel passes against Collegiate as critics questioned the level of competition

We're getting down to the nitty-gritty portion of the high school football season. This time next month, the playoffs will be in full swing across the U-S-of-A.

That means we're in the stretch run. Some teams are making one final postseason push. Others are resting up for November (and hopefully December). We have districts up for grabs, at-large bids at stake, and seeding implications everywhere.

Which brings us to Louisiana, where none of that really happened in Friday's game between University Lab and Collegiate.

ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL QB LEAVES FANS IN AWE WITH RECORD-BREAKING TOUCHDOWN PASS

For those who don't know, Knox Kiffin — the son of LSU head coach Lane Kiffin — plays QB for University Lab. The junior has offers from several schools already, including Syracuse, Missouri and Georgia Tech. He's still young, but getting better, as you're about to see.

I've taken it upon myself here at OutKick to highlight at least one high school football play/ player/ story each and every Saturday during the season. These guys are all about to be millionaires with the silly NIL rules, so we might as well get ahead of the curve and start identifying them early.

FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME ERUPTS INTO VIOLENT BRAWL INVOLVING PLAYERS, COACHES AFTER FINAL WHISTLE

So far this season, we've seen (arguably) the country's top running back do incredible things in Tennessee on multiple different occasions, a wild Hail Mary in Florida, an entire California team get suspended because the mascot shot the bird to some fans, and a giant running back in Kentucky.

Today, we're gonna check in with Knox Kiffin and the Cubs, who are both going viral today for absolutely destroying a team, 62-0, Friday night:

Knox Kiffin feasts

Lord have mercy, what a mismatch. I've covered a lot of high school football over the years, and I don't know that I've seen so much talent disparity on the same field.

Well, that's probably not true. I've definitely seen games like this one where it's pretty evident from the opening kick that we're about to get a running clock. But still...

Look at that pass rush Knox is having to face! That's stunning. I'm not knocking the throw, which was dropped in the bucket, but what's the deal there? Why aren't those guys even attempting to rush the quarterback? I don't get it.

And how about the hit at the goal line on the second touchdown pass? That receiver sends that poor defender into next week at the pylon. Brutal.

This will naturally raise questions about Knox Kiffin in the same way it does about Arch Manning. Every time Arch has a bad game, old videos from the competition he faced in high school go viral because he wasn't exactly facing the '85 Bears.

Right on cue, look at the first comment under the above post:

"This dude is the next arch manning, lmao. What’s this competition he’s playing against?"

Like clockwork.

It's probably a fair point to raise given how bad it looks. I get it.

But, also ... Knox has looked pretty darn good at times this season. He's also got a pretty decent teacher in his ear, despite what some may think of Lane Kiffin.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

I think he'll be OK.

Why eating oysters raw may mean missing out on their best flavor, celebrity chef says

Andrew Zimmern tells Fox News Digital why grilled, fried or baked varieties can be just as delicious as raw

When it comes to oysters, Andrew Zimmern believes location is everything.

The celebrity chef and television personality, who is hosting the Oyster Bash at the New York City Wine & Food Festival on Saturday, said the secret to a great oyster lies in its flavor, texture and, perhaps most importantly, where it originates.

"Oysters really taste of place," Zimmern told Fox News Digital.

IS FARM-RAISED FISH REALLY WORSE THAN WILD-CAUGHT SEAFOOD? EXPERTS SOUND OFF

Much like wine grapes, oysters develop distinctive characteristics based on their environment. Water conditions, food sources and even the composition of the seafloor can influence their flavor and appearance.

Zimmern, based in Minneosta, has experienced these differences firsthand, tasting oysters harvested just a few hundred yards apart that delivered dramatically different flavors.

"One's very sweet, one's very saline. And it really depends on what you like," he said.

LOBSTER ROLL WAR ERUPTS IN NEW ENGLAND OVER CONTROVERSIAL INGREDIENT IN 'DIE-HARD' DIVIDE

As for his own preferences, Zimmern said he gravitates toward oysters with a particular combination of flavors.

"I like oysters that are coppery, taste like a cross between pennies and celery and have enough salinity to sort of carry the oyster," he said.

He's particularly fond of West Coast oysters, he said, although he noted that East Coast growers are increasingly producing oysters with similar flavor profiles by carefully selecting growing locations based on the food available in the water.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER

But while oyster aficionados might debate which region produces the best shellfish, Zimmern is decidedly less particular about how they're prepared.

Raw, grilled, fried or baked, he said he's game for all of them.

"If the oyster is flavorful enough, you can do anything with it," he said.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE LIFESTYLE NEWS

Zimmern recalled visiting an oyster restaurant outside Houston where the raw oysters were unremarkable, but the grilled preparations — including versions with spinach, cheese, garlic, butter and hot sauce — were extraordinary.

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

He also has a soft spot for fried oysters and regularly makes oyster chowder during the colder months.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"I love cooked oysters," he said. "I love oyster chowder. I make oyster chowder almost every other week in the wintertime."

Alison Arngrim, Dean Butler and Pamela Roylance shared stories of fainting and survival strategies on set

The cast of "Little House on the Prairie" is opening up about the brutal reality of filming the hit TV series.

Cast members were guests on Patrick Labyorteaux's podcast to discuss their experiences on the show. He asked Alison Arngrim, who starred as Nellie Oleson, what the first day was like for her.

"Complete chaos and confusion," Arngrim admitted.

‘LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE’ STAR SAYS CHILD ACTORS GET ‘DROPPED’ AFTER HOLLYWOOD FAME FADES

She explained that she hadn't known she was supposed to show up with her character's signature ringlet curls, "So it was lots of panic and phone calls back and forth, and then massive curling of my hair. So yeah, bananas. And then, first day on location, of course, I pass out."

"So, I was off to just a rousing start right there," she added.

The conversation also included fellow cast members Dean Butler, Pamela Roylance and Jennifer Donati, as well as Tracy and Victor French, the children of late cast member Victor French.

Labyorteaux also starred in "Little House on the Prairie" as Andy Garvey.

During a later conversation about how hot it was in Simi Valley, where the show was filmed, Arngrim joked that the cast and crew were able to tell when summer hit because the "first day of summer is when Alison hits the ground, because I was out like that. It was that hot."

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? "It was insane, though – the great thing is that other people began to pass out, so people realized it wasn't me, the first one being Sean Penn."

Penn, who was a child at the time, "didn't wake up and come back to work. That was it, he was done for the day."

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

Arngrim said, "That's when they decided maybe it was not just me, that it was actually that hot."

Later in the podcast, the subject of their least favorite episodes came up, and Arngrim shared that she disliked any episodes where sporting events were involved, because that meant sitting in bleachers "where it was 100 million degrees" for hours at a time while crew members filmed reaction shots.

She recalled one of these shoots when Charlotte Stewart, who played school teacher Eva Beadle Simms, "was just sitting there, and she had in fact lost consciousness and fainted and blacked out, but just didn't fall over, and they didn't know she was out."

About the sweltering set, Butler admitted, "You just had to do whatever strategy you could. I always felt sorry for the women on the set … [the men] were basically dressed in a shirt and pants and dog-eared boots" while the female cast members wore dresses, petticoats, stockings and sometimes wigs.

PUT YOUR ENTERTAINMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST AND SEE HOW YOU SCORE

Roylance shared that Michael Landon, who acted as executive producer, writer and director on "Little House" in addition to his starring role, let her film one scene with her blouse unbuttoned and her sleeves rolled up because "it was just miserable hot" that day on the set.

"It kind of just wasn't done," she admitted about the way she wore the blouse, "but it's in the shot, you can see it in the episode, and I was so grateful for that."

She also said that Stan Ivar, who played her husband, gave her "a little fan that I wrapped around my leg and blew up my skirt."

Donati, who, along with her twin sister, was an infant when she played Baby Rose Wilder, joked, "I don't want to brag, but I think I was the most pampered cast member there. They didn't let me get hot."

"Little House on the Prairie" was a Western family drama loosely based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's semi-autobiographical books. It follows the Ingalls family as they build a life in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, during the late 19th century.

Landon starred as the Ingalls family patriarch, Charles, Karen Grassle played his wife, Caroline, and Gilbert portrayed their daughter, Laura. The series premiered on NBC in 1974 and ran for nine seasons, through 1983, followed by three television movies.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

'Virgin River' star Ben Hollingsworth says his kids have freedom in small town that 'doesn't fly' in LA

The actor discussed parenting outside LA and the upcoming Meet Cute Con in Nashville, Tennessee

Ben Hollingsworth is all about giving his young kids the freedoms he grew up with.

During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 42-year-old actor discussed his participation in the upcoming Meet Cute Con, the latest season of "Virgin River" and how raising his kids in a small town affords them certain freedoms.

"Our kids are actually, we're able to kind of let them go off and be like, be back at five, which I feel like is kind of gone away now," he explained. "It's really, really tricky to do that. You definitely can't do it in major cities, or you'll be arrested as a parent. Like, what are you doing? Letting your kid run across Ventura Boulevard? In LA, that doesn't fly."

He went on to say that he is "thankful" he is able to give his children the kind of life where they can play outside as long as they are "back by this time when the sun goes down," noting, "I'm happy to provide them with some of what I got growing up."

'DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES' STAR JAMES DENTON SAYS LA IS 'NOT A GREAT PLACE TO RAISE KIDS' DUE TO IMAGE CULTURE

Another way they have managed to keep their children out of the Hollywood bubble and grounded is by keeping them active in sports and through family activities, including hikes.

WATCH: Ben Hollingsworth is 'grateful' to give his three children the childhood he had

The actor also shared that while shooting season three of the show in British Columbia, Canada, his wife got pregnant with their third child, and inspired their big life change.

WATCH: Ben Hollingsworth and his family moved to a 'Virgin River-esque town'

"I'll be transparent with you, I won't say where we are, but we did move out of a large center and we actually did move to a very Virgin River-esque town because of 'Virgin River,'" he said. "We got pregnant with our third and we made a decision to put down roots in a smaller place. And raising your kids in small town is just, it's a luxury, and we're very happy that we're able to provide that for the kiddos."

He admitted that for them spending more time outside of Los Angeles happened "organically," noting that he isn't the only Hollywood star choosing to leave the city, citing Jana Kramer and Bethany Joy Lenz as examples.

JONAH HILL ABANDONED LOS ANGELES TO RAISE GROWING FAMILY IN ‘VERY SMALL TOWN’

Hollingsworth also shared his excitement about participating in the upcoming Meet Cute Con taking place at the Loveless Barn and Virgin Hotels Nashville between November 6 and 8.

The "Small Town Swoon" themed event will bring together stars from "Virgin River," "One Tree Hill" and "The Way Home," providing fans with the warmth, romance, and community they see on television in real-life.

WATCH: Ben Hollingsworth says 'Virgin River' is 'apple pie entertainment'

"I think community is the key," he said. "In today's world, we're losing that sense of community more and more every day, I feel like. And there's something really great about getting together and bringing a fan community together with some of the people that they're excited about, and they're used to seeing on the screen. They can meet and see in real life and ask questions that they've been dying to ask."

He is looking forward to meeting all the fans, noting this is the first time the entire cast of "Virgin River" has "gotten together as a cast to do this in the public," saying it "just felt right."

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

"It felt really great. We love Nashville. Who doesn't love Nashville? They're doing it at this barn, and it's not gonna be this massive convention center," he added. "It's a small intimate thing. So everyone who comes is gonna be a few feet away from us. And that really kind of helped sell it to us that we should do one."

When it comes to the success of his own show, Hollingsworth attributed it to the idea that it speaks to "a part of America that that we don't celebrate enough."

He explained that many television shows on Netflix and other streaming services tell stories of people in big cities, but as "more and more communities outside those centers have gained access" to these services, stories with "small town charm" and a "sense of community" have begun to resonate.

WATCH: Ben Hollingsworth is excited to attend Meet Cute Con with the 'Virgin River' cast

"We really took off during the pandemic," he said. "Because I think just… that it was a comforting show, it is a comforting show. We really take pride in kind of supplying, it's almost like medicine for people. You don't need to take whatever to go to sleep. You can watch a nice episode of 'Virgin River' and it's like a warm fuzzy blanket, or a hug."

PUT YOUR ENTERTAINMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST AND SEE HOW YOU SCORE

He added: "It's apple pie entertainment. And I mean that in the best ways because we're not reinventing the wheel. We're doing something that's been done many times before, but we're making really good apple pie, I think. And so you know what you want, you know you're gonna love it, and we do it right."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP
