Luke Bryan's son thanks fans for prayers after painful high school football injury

Luke Bryan's son suffered an injury Friday while playing quarterback during a high school football game.

Thomas Boyer Bryan, 18, exited a game after landing on his right shoulder when he was sacked during the opening drive, according to The Tennessean.

Thomas Boyer Bryan, who goes by "Bo," was later spotted on the sidelines wearing a sling on his right arm as his Battle Ground Academy team played against Pope John Paul II Preparatory School in Tennessee.

Bo threw for 2,006 yards and 30 touchdowns with three interceptions through seven games this season to bring the team to a 6-1 record in his first season as a starter, the outlet reported.

Bo told The Tennessean he would undergo an X-ray following the game.

"I don’t know what we’re looking at yet," coach Bobby Bentley told The Tennessean. "We’ll have to figure this thing out. That’s the challenge for us as a team and as coaches. What do we do? How do we do it? We’re going to figure it out."

On Instagram the following day, Bo told his social media followers that he broke his collar bone.

Bryan's representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Bryan and hiw wife, Caroline Boyer, have sons Bo and Tatum "Tate" Christopher Bryan. Following the death of his sister Kelly Bryan and brother-in-law Ben Lee Cheshire, the couple took in Kelly and Ben’s three children to raise alongside their sons.

The "American Idol" judge previously told Hook & Barrel that he often reflected on how his kids were watching his every move.

Eagles will bring back Jalen Hurts this season under one condition amid blood clot issue: report

Jalen Hurts is in a very serious injury situation with the Philadelphia Eagles, who placed him on the injured reserve as the quarterback deals with a blood clot.

Hurts being placed on the IR means he has to miss a minimum of four games, but he is considering out "indefinitely" as the Eagles want to make sure his blood clot dissipates.

In fact, Jay Glazer said on "FOX NFL Sunday" that the Eagles would only bring back their franchise quarterback if the clot "completely melted.

"At first, the blood clot was superficial; it wasn’t moving around," Glazer said on the pregame show. He noted that was why Hurts played against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London this past week.

"But once it changed and that blood clot started moving, you do not mess around with a moving blood clot. That could be a life-or-death situation.

David Chao, who served as the Los Angeles Chargers’ team doctor for 17 years while they were in San Diego, told OutKick recently the same thing regarding the movement of the blood clot.

"Do they mean movement as in it's propagating and it's now a bigger superficial blood clot? Or is it movement meaning it's deeper and it's a deep vein clot?" Chao questioned.

"If he has a deep vein clot, he's out for multiple weeks, at least."

With Hurts on the IR, the Eagles had Tanner McKee, his backup, make his first start of the season against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The Eagles fell, 25-14, to their NFC foe with McKee throwing for 215 yards with a touchdown to DeVonta Smith.

The Eagles will be without Hurts for at least next week’s "Monday Night Football" matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, "Sunday Night Football" against the Washington Commanders and a matchup with the New York Giants – all three NFC East divisional games.

Trump unveils plan to transform historic DC golf course as judge tees off

President Donald Trump announced plans Sunday to transform a historic public golf course in Washington, D.C., into a "world class" championship venue capable of hosting some of the sport's biggest tournaments.

Trump said the Department of the Interior, led by Secretary Doug Burgum, is working with famed golf course architect Tom Fazio to overhaul East Potomac Golf Links, located along the Potomac River near the National Mall.

"When completed, it will be open to the Public while, at the same time, designed to the Highest Level of Golf," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president said the redesigned course would be capable of hosting events including the U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. Trump said the United States Golf Association, PGA of America and PGA Tour have already been notified of the plans.

Trump, an avid golfer, vowed the project would create jobs and deliver an economic boost to Washington and the surrounding region.

The existing course is expected to close Nov. 15, when restoration work on Fazio's design is slated to begin. Trump said the new course could open approximately 15 months later.

Trump did not acknowledge the ongoing legal fight in his post, which included an artist's rendering of the proposed course redesign.

Hours after Trump's announcement, U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes took judicial notice of the Truth Social post and ordered the government to clarify by 8 p.m. Sunday whether it still stood by its position in a court filing two days earlier that "there is no final agency action" and that, at most, Trump had given "preliminary thought" to rebuilding the course.

Reyes also ordered two government attorneys who have appeared in the case to attend an evidentiary hearing in person Monday morning.

Trump, meanwhile, sharply criticized the condition of the existing course, calling it "old, broken, dilapidated" and pointing to what he described as dangerous and diseased trees and a deteriorating seawall.

The redevelopment has also drawn scrutiny over tree removal at the site. Reyes recently temporarily halted additional tree cutting amid a legal challenge over work at the property.

Trump said the overhaul would restore views of Washington while creating what he predicted would become "one of the Best and Most Spectacular Golf Courses anywhere in the World."

About the only time anyone saw New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo on Sunday was in a State Farm commercial, in the locker room afterward or on the same bench we also saw quarterback Jameis Winston, who spent the fourth quarter as a backup while J.J. McCarthy led a rally.

So, yes, coach John Harbaugh had just about had it with some of his guys, both early and late on Sunday.

The Giants' coach benched Skattebo, even though he said he didn't. Skattebo got in the game but didn't carry the football, perhaps because he's fumbled four times and lost one this season.

You didn't hear it, either, did you? He didn't say Winston remains the starter.

This is good news for McCarthy, who was traded to the Giants from the Vikings last month.

The Giants have a lot of improving they need to do with their running game. And that definitely is a competition right now as four running backs – Najee Harris, Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary – vie for playing time and carries.

"Nobody's really taken the bull by the horns," Harbaugh said of his running backs. "... So we put four guys [active] and see if we can get something going with the running game. That was the idea.

Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., supposedly is a "moderate" in her party, but her comments at the University of Chicago last week show her to be what so many leftists laughably have accused President Trump of being: a fascist.

Slotkin wants Trump officials prosecuted in the hopes of chilling others from working in the administration, especially young people. This is unconstitutional and un-American, and Slotkin should face investigations by the Justice Department and the Senate Ethics Committee for her treacherous statements.

Leftist lawfare began shortly after President Trump’s descent down the Trump Tower escalator that historic summer day in 2015. We went through years of Russia collusion charges, led by the witch hunt of special counsel Robert Mueller and his henchmen. Then, after an unsuccessful impeachment of Trump, leftists pursued him and his supporters after his departure from office in January 2021. Nonviolent Jan. 6 protesters spent years in a filthy D.C. jail. Other Trump supporters were debanked. The government viewed records of hundreds of thousands of Americans simply due to their support for Trump. The once and future president endured a raid at his Mar-a-Lago estate, followed by four indictments brought by prosecutors in New York, Atlanta, and the federal government. Special counsel Jack Smith, the leader of the federal witch hunt, brought indictments in D.C. and the Southern District of Florida. Trump also incurred a judgment of nearly half a billion dollars in another witch hunt brought by New York Attorney General Leticia James. An appellate court later threw out that absurd award of damages.

SLOTKIN WANTS GOP PROSECUTIONS TO DETER YOUNG PEOPLE FROM TRUMP ADMINISTRATION JOBS

Now, Slotkin wants to put the country through the same nightmare again if her deranged party assumes power. Thanks to excellent reporting by Michael Bicksel of the Chicago Thinker, we know about Slotkin’s plan that she revealed to University of Chicago students. Slotkin understands that presidential immunity insulates Trump from prosecution, so she wishes to pursue "signature cases" involving individuals whose actions on projects are "super egregious." Slotkin is referring to people in the Trump administration and their work to implement his agenda.

"They have no immunity the way the president does," Slotkin said.

One example of a Slotkin target is those who participated in the construction of the new ballroom that replaced the delapidated East Wing. Take a moment to grasp the horror of this. Slotkin wants people to be prosecuted and potentially jailed because she does not like that the White House will have a new ballroom that may not even be finished by the time he leaves the White House.

Slotkin was just getting warmed up in revealing her deranged desires. She wants these prosecutions to chill conservative young people who have graduated school and who wish to work in the Trump administration.

"Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want," Slotkin stated, explaining what she wants young conservatives to think and fear. She left no doubt about her goal by adding, "I want that deterrence message sent.

There is no place for prosecutions motivated by a desire to chill support for a candidate or politician. Slotkin’s example of a desired persecution—for the ballroom construction—illustrates how demented her view is. Constructing a ballroom is not a crime. A busybody sued to block it, but the Supreme Court put a stop to her ridiculous claim. Does Slotkin want the Supreme Court justices who ruled against the suit prosecuted, too? How about their young clerks who surely assisted with research on the case? Is that part of Slotkin’s "deterrence message" designed to discourage young conservatives from working for Supreme Court justices whom this disgrace of a senator considers to be enablers of the Trump agenda?

PENNSYLVANIA SOCIALIST DEMOCRAT SAYS HE OPPOSES IMPRISONMENT EXCEPT FOR 'LAWLESS MAGA THUGS'

The Senate Ethics Committee should open an investigation into Slotkin immediately. Her comments defile the Constitution and the Senate. Put every senator on the record as to whether they support Slotkin’s horrific goal. The Justice Department also should investigate Slotkin for conspiracy against rights (18 U.S.C. § 241) and violation of rights under color of law (18 U.S.C. § 242). Let’s find out if Slotkin has done more than fantasize to college students about prosecuting her political opponents and chilling others from entering politics if they happen to be of a different political persuasion than Slotkin. Her comments at a college campus do not enjoy protection under the Constitution’s Speech and Debate Clause any more than if Slotkin had made a threat of violence against Trump. That essential constitutional provision does not provide members of Congress with carte blanche to say whatever they wish whenever they wish. Indeed, in Hutchinson v. Proxmire (1979), the Supreme Court permitted a defamation suit to proceed against a senator over Speech and Debate Clause objections for allegedly defamatory comments that appeared in the senator’s newsletter.

Slotkin is not the only lunatic leftist who has been spouting off about locking up political opponents. Last week, Democratic Socialist Angie Nixon, the Bernie Sanders-backed candidate for the U.S. Senate in Florida, refuted a charge by Sen. Ashley Moody, her Republican opponent, that Nixon wanted to abolish prisons.

CBS reporter deletes post calling out El-Sayed on 'spectacular self own' on Muslim Brotherhood question

CBS News correspondent Jan Crawford deleted an X post that appeared to attack Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed over his viral response to a question on the Muslim Brotherhood.

During a town hall on Saturday, El-Sayed responded to a voter named Tommy who asked him whether he would disavow the Muslim Brotherhood after reports about El-Sayed's alleged family connections to the organization.

"Sure," El-Sayed said. "Yeah, absolutely. But I want to ask the question that you're asking: Why are you asking the question?"

This led to El-Sayed accusing Tommy of assuming that he held "dual loyalties" because of his Muslim background.

"Why would you actually think that about me? Why would you actually think that? Why would you? Have you asked everybody in your life if they disavow them [the Muslim Brotherhood]? So why are you asking me?" El-Sayed said.

El-Sayed later shared a clip of the interaction with his followers.

"This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his," El-Sayed wrote.

Crawford was initially critical of El-Sayed's response, suggesting that Tommy succeeded in "triggering" the candidate.

By Sunday, however, Crawford deleted the post, adding in another post that it was a "violation" of her network's standards.

"Earlier, I tweeted a video from an Abdul El-Sayed town hall. I deleted that tweet because it was a violation of CBS News standards. I apologize," Crawford wrote.

The initial post sparked backlash from pundits and analysts on the left, several of whom called for Crawford to be fired.

"No Jan — you got caught red handed trying to help prop up a paid GOP operative who was there to spread false, racist lies about Abdul because he is Muslim. Shame on you," Democratic consultant Karen Finney replied to Crawford.

"She SHOULD be fired, but it's CBS news, so she'll get promoted," progressive commentator and Democratic strategist Ketih Edwards wrote.

"This woman endorsing a GOP operative’s smear campaign against @AbdulElSayed is apparently a ‘straight news’ CBS reporter. This is what David Ellison paid for. This is what Bari Weiss delivered," Zeteo CEO Mehdi Hasan posted.

A CBS News spokesperson cited Crawford’s statement and declined to comment further.

Curtis Houck, managing editor of media watchdog NewsBusters, told Fox News Digital that those calling for Crawford to be fired over the post "need to grow up."

"The double standard is glaring. Reporters from CNN, MS NOW, The New York Times, and Washington Post tweet all kinds of incendiary hot takes on the daily, and none of the elitist media defenders bat an eye. But for someone at Bari Weiss's CBS News to call out the tone of a Democrat? It's unforgivable. Jan should be allowed to speak her mind and has earned it as one of the few actual journalists on the networks, in addition to a long career covering the Supreme Court, and earned the trust of the justices. Team Bari Weiss needs to tell these people calling for Jan's job to shove it," he continued.

However, El-Sayed confirmed to Fox News senior correspondent Mike Tobin on Saturday that his sister-in-law, Mariam Jukaku, was involved in a federal terrorist watchlist lawsuit in 2016.

"She did nothing wrong and was captured on that and then sued and got off," El-Sayed said. "You've got this system where folks are guilty until proven innocent because they've got different kinds of names, because of the infrastructure that people like Mike Rogers set up."

James McAvoy says he ‘nearly died’ after his lungs collapsed following botched biopsy

James McAvoy opened up about a life-threatening health scare that left him hospitalized for several weeks after what he described as a botched medical procedure.

During a recent appearance on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, the 47-year-old actor recalled how he pushed his body to its limits for his transformation into the Beast in 2019's "Glass" after first recovering from a serious infection and collapsed lungs.

"I'd actually been in hospital and I had a lung puncture because… they saw a shadow in my lung, so they wanted to biopsy it to see if it was cancer, which it wasn't, which was great," McAvoy said.

"But that was botched, and I nearly died," he continued. "I was at home two days later and my lungs just collapsed in bed one night, and I was on my own as well, so it was crazy."

McAvoy explained that Shyamalan offered to hire a trainer from "the local gym," but he rejected that idea.

"For the first four weeks, he rehabilitated me. I could walk, but I couldn’t run, couldn’t cycle, couldn’t jog," McAvoy recalled. "So he did a lot of rehabilitation and, sort of, functional movement, and then put the pounds on me really fast."

McAvoy recently claimed that he was bullied on the set of the hit HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers."

"On my first day on set, there was a ton of actors," he began. "It was one of those scenes with everybody in it, and we’re all at a bar, and I had a scene. And all these guys were in it for nine months, 10 months, and they get one line in one episode, and one line 10 episodes later. They were all pissed. I come in for one episode, and I’ve got an arc and scenes. I’ve got tons of lines."

When the photo, which featured many of his co-stars from the show, flashed on the screen, McAvoy confirmed that a specific actor was in the photo.

"So, one of the guys in that picture decided to bully me on my first day as a professional actor out of acting school," he said. "He got him and his buddies to just stand pointing at me and laugh at me for like three minutes."

While he didn't name names, the photo featured Donnie Wahlberg, Kirk Acevedo, Scott Grimes, Neal McDonough, Adam James, Frank John Hughes, Philip Barantini and Ross McCall.

McAvoy added that not everyone on set participated in the bullying, saying Dexter Fletcher and Robin Laing "took me aside, and they were like, ‘Come hang with us, man.'"

The release of this fall menu item follows the seasonal Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, which landed in stores in June as a summer dessert.

Hackers could already be inside American utilities, cyber experts warn of 'Trojan Horse' threat

The cyberattack targeting French supermarket freezers and causing millions of dollars in losses last week should be an ominous warning to American businesses, cybersecurity experts told Fox News Digital.

Unknown hackers took over the refrigeration in hundreds of supermarkets across France, raising temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit overnight, causing massive spoilage. It could happen here, and it isn't just grocery stores that need to be on guard, John Walsh, senior vice president at the Germany-based software company IGEL, told Fox News Digital.

"Think about if we don't have water for seven days, or if they attack freezers and we don't have food," Walsh said. "That's a tough situation for people to live through, and it could create a lot of economic and social unrest. We're seeing that we're vulnerable and that attacks are taking systems down."

At IGEL, Walsh works with governments and companies who build and deploy critical infrastructure — such as Siemens and Rockwell — to bolster their operational security.

"A primary obstacle in [operational technology] environments — whether in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, oil, or utilities — is that facilities operate assets that are 15 to 20 years old," Walsh said. "These systems are expensive, fragile, and essential to ongoing operations."

Decision makers at the companies Walsh works with don’t want to go through the hassle of taking key systems offline in order to upgrade and secure them further, operating under a "if it's not broken, don't fix it" mindset," he said.

But critical infrastructure, like almost every aspect of American society, is becoming increasingly integrated with technology and embedded into digital infrastructure, forcing cybersecurity firms to fundamentally shift strategies.

"One of the big things we have to consider is that we're moving from a thought process of security to resilience," Walsh said.

As AI helps hackers become more sophisticated, it’s no longer wise to attempt to completely shut them out of key systems, Walsh said. System operators are better off assuming the hackers are already there.

"Security is kind of like, 'I feel I can trust that things are okay.' Resilience is where you make the assumption the attacker is present—where, when the attacker is present, you control the blast radius," Walsh said.

A so-called Trojan horse could already be inside America's electrical grid and other critical infrastructure, just waiting for the adversary to activate it, he said.

"They've demonstrated taking it down, which to some degree is them practicing, honing their skills, and honing their methodologies against real targets while sending a message," Walsh said.

Policy experts are grappling with how to make recommendations to lawmakers, given that so many things we depend on in our everyday lives are connected to the internet.

"I am shocked that appliances have access to the internet," Amy Kremer, the chair of Humans First, told Fox News Digital.

"I understand the convenience, but at the same time, you are going to have potential problems with it. That should be a concern to all Americans — not just appliances, but things like your Nest thermostat and other devices in your house that could be hacked into," she continued.

"As we learn every single day, it's capable of more and more. It's great that we have technology — it's changed the world and made it a much smaller place where we interact and communicate with each other all the time. But with that also comes vulnerabilities," Kremer added.

WATER CYBERATTACK HITS AT LEAST 7 STATES

America’s critical infrastructure is indeed vulnerable to these types of threats, Walsh said, citing previous examples, including a 2026 coordinated cyberattack on Minnesota’s water systems.

"Think about if you were to try to disrupt the U.S. economy or begin to do terrorism-type activities. What would you do? You'd go after water and wastewater. You'd go after the food supply. Exactly what occurred here, but at a larger scale," Walsh said.

"We're definitely more vulnerable, they're definitely targeting us, and citizens, government, and the international community need to get governance in place to push industries to implement these protections," he said.

Walsh also warned that this could be just the beginning, claiming a recent string of hacks could be indicative of hackers honing their skill sets as they prepare for bolder attacks.

"I do think that what we're beginning to see is a pattern across the U.S., France, and the UK. We see the adversary—potentially a geopolitical adversary—basically practicing their art and demonstrating their art in different locations," he warned.

Macklemore's 'Free Palestine' tour funding anti-Israel org who cheered Oct 7 Hamas attack

Macklemore's upcoming "Free Palestine" tour later this month will help fund an organization that celebrated the deadly Oct. 7 terror attacks.

After the 43-year-old rapper was dropped from Ed Sheeran's "Loop Tour" after he repeatedly called for a "Free Palestine" and performed his anti-Israel song "Hind’s Hall" last month, Macklemore announced that he would be launching his "Free Palestine" tour in retaliation. The tour includes three shows in Dublin on Oct. 26, in Paris on Oct. 29 and in London on Oct. 30, respectively.

According to the tour's website, all proceeds will go to one of twelve organizations, including the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), whose leadership has come under fire for several controversial statements.

The organization reportedly referred to these actions as "legitimate" and "effective."

Just days after the original attack, a female speaker from the Palestinian Youth Movement was heard cheering the Hamas attacks and terrorists during a protest outside the Israeli consulate in New York.

"Thank you…for raising your voices to celebrate the glorious victory of the resistance. And to honor our martyrs and [we're] marching to show those here in the heart of the empire that they will never defeat our struggle. They have failed to break the unity of our people, and they have failed to dampen the revolutionary spirit of our people who grow stronger every day," the woman said.

Fox News Digital reached out to Macklemore's representatives and the PYM for comment.

In a comment to Fox News Digital, the Jewish Leadership Council (JLC), a U.K.-based Jewish organization, called for better efforts to vet Macklemore's charitable organizations and protect Jewish citizens.

"When the Palestinian Youth Movement praises young people joining armed factions and describes the 7 October massacre as a ‘prison break’, it risks legitimising violence against Jews. At a time of grave violence and threats against Jewish communities, Live Nation must show how it will protect Jewish audiences and staff from antisemitic incitement and harassment," the JLC said.

Fox News Digital reached out to Live Nation for comment but did not immediately receive a reply.

The Israeli-American Council, which demanded Macklemore be removed from Sheeran's tour last month, said his recent actions "reinforce the concerns that led the IAC to launch its petition."

"Our objection was never to his right to support Palestinians," the group said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "It was to the normalization of antisemitic rhetoric that disregards the suffering and humanity of Jews and Israelis."

"Robert Kraft and his fellow stadium owners showed admirable moral leadership when they refused to give Macklemore a platform to voice his message of discrimination and antisemitism. Live Nation and the concert organizers must now publicly explain their vetting process and ensure that concert proceeds do not benefit organizations that justify violence against innocent civilians. Our message to them remains: ‘Your show, your stage, your responsibility,’" the statement continued.

In addition to the tour, Macklemore announced on Instagram last month that he would be donating the $1 million he earned as part of Sheeran's tour to six organizations, including Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), HEAL Palestine, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, UNRWA USA National Committee and American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA).

Grupe initially delivered on Sunday, capping the offense's opening drive with a successful 44-yard field goal.

That momentum vanished seconds later on the ensuing kickoff.

Grupe was the last line of defense as Arizona Cardinals returner Devin Duvernay broke through the coverage, and the 5-foot-7 kicker aggressively lowered his shoulder to force Duvernay out of bounds at the 47-yard line. The collision left Grupe on all fours, grimacing in pain.

Trainers took Grupe to the blue medical tent before he retreated to the locker room with a knee injury designation. He was ruled doubtful to return.

Driver released without charges after pickup kills boy, 6, and man on Kansas soccer field

The driver of a pickup truck that plowed onto a Kansas soccer field, killing a young boy and a man, has been released without charges as investigators work to determine what turned a Saturday afternoon of youth sports into tragedy.

Wichita police announced Sunday that the 34-year-old woman was released pending toxicology results and a mechanical examination of her Chevrolet pickup. Authorities also identified those killed as Cole Adrian, 6, and Nicholas Schafer, 35, both of McPherson, Kansas. They were not related.

Five children were among the 10 people injured when the truck drove from a parking space onto a field at Stryker Sports Complex at about 3:25 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The woman, who was initially taken into custody, had two of her children inside the pickup. Another of her children was playing soccer on a different field at the complex.

Her release followed interviews with more than 30 witnesses, including the children inside the truck, and consultation with the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office, according to police.

FLORIDA STUDENT KILLED IN ROLLOVER SCHOOL BUS CRASH

Ten people were taken to Ascension Via Christi and Wesley Medical Center with injuries police described Sunday as noncritical. The injured children included a 5-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, two 8-year-old boys and a 9-year-old girl.

The five injured adults ranged in age from 28 to 68. An additional woman, 61, was hospitalized for medical complications unrelated to traumatic injuries, bringing the total number transported to 11.

Sporting Wichita Academy said the tragedy had shaken a soccer community built around families and teammates, thanking first responders, medical workers and bystanders who stepped in to help.

"Soccer is more than a game. It is a community. It is families in the stands, teammates standing beside one another, and people who come together through a shared love of the game," the academy wrote on Facebook. "Today, that community is hurting, and we must lean on one another more than ever."

As investigators search for answers, a restaurant is stepping in to help grieving families and those with loved ones in the hospital.

Meddys pledged to donate 20% of all revenue from its Wichita and Salina locations from Oct. 18 through Oct. 24 to families affected by the tragedy.

The business also offered free meals to the immediate families of those injured for as long as their loved ones remain hospitalized.

"With so much to carry right now, figuring out your next meal should not have to be one more worry," Meddys wrote on Facebook.

The restaurant partnered with local nonprofit Kingdom Athletics Mission to receive and distribute donations to the affected McPherson families after people outside the area asked how they could help. Meddys said the nonprofit would manage both GoFundMe donations and the business’ contributions.

"Wichita is our home. These are our neighbors. In moments like this, we take care of one another," the business wrote.

Wichita Police Chief Joe Sullivan also offered condolences to the families Sunday.

"What should have been a day of children playing soccer and families spending time together ended in tragedy," he said. "We are also thinking about those who were injured, their loved ones and everyone who witnessed what happened. We know this tragedy has affected many people throughout our community, and we want those families to know they are not alone."

The deadly crash also halted the Kansas State High School Activities Association’s inaugural girls flag football state championship, which was taking place on an adjacent field. The association suspended play and said games would not resume that weekend.

At Saturday’s news conference, Wichita Police Capt. Aaron Moses said the driver had a valid license, no outstanding arrest warrants and was cooperating with investigators.

Sullivan underscored the unanswered question confronting investigators.

"We know what happened, but now we’re working very hard to find out why it happened," he said Saturday.

A priest preparing Communion was fatally struck by a falling crucifix during a livestreamed Mass in Ecuador, turning a moment of worship into a frantic rush to save him.

Father Patricio Alfredo Sánchez Molinari was standing at the altar of Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Church in Guayaquil on Saturday when the large wooden crucifix behind him suddenly fell forward and struck him.

Video of the service captures screams erupting inside the church as worshippers ran to his side and called for help.

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen," the statement concluded in Latin.

The tragedy unfolded just one day after the archdiocese congratulated Sánchez Molinari on the anniversary of his ordination, Ecuadorian news outlet Primicias reported.

The Mass was being livestreamed on social media when the crucifix fell, recording both the fatal incident and the desperate response from those inside the church.

Sánchez Molinari belonged to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, commonly known as the Redemptorists. Before serving in Guayaquil, he spent several years as parish priest at San Lorenzo in Vinces, in Ecuador’s Los Ríos province, according to Primicias.

His former parish mourned his death in a social media tribute, remembering the dedication and pastoral love he brought to its community, El Universo reported.

A prominent French newspaper delivered a blistering critique of the country’s leadership after nationwide protests descended into riots, looting and arson.

The article, written by Vincent Trémolet de Villers for the conservative newspaper Le Figaro and published Sunday afternoon local time, blamed years of political failures for contributing to the unrest and took particular aim at President Emmanuel Macron.

The article also took aim at Macron over his past calls for police to show greater empathy.

"Emmanuel Macron’s reprimands toward a police force he deemed insufficiently 'empathetic' — directed at officers under attack by bolts, cobblestones, and mortar fireworks — will remain an indelible stain," it stated.

The author argued that the unrest reflected deeper failures by France’s political establishment.

"If the far-left, criminals, and looters can turn France upside down in a matter of hours, it is primarily because a technocratic monarchy — intoxicated by its own self-importance — has methodically dismantled all the moral, security, cultural, and economic safeguards that allow a society to remain standing."

The scathing assessment followed a day of violence across France, where masked groups clashed with police, looted businesses, set fires and attacked public buildings, according to The Associated Press.

Macron addressed the nation Sunday, condemning the violence and vowing that those responsible would be held accountable.

"Nothing will excuse their actions. We all tonight feel angry. We feel shame as well," Macron said, according to a translation of his televised remarks.

"There needs to be a response. Those people who looted need to pay for their crimes," he added.

The French president also acknowledged concerns raised by the youth about their economic prospects and futures.

"The youth of our nation are expressing great anguish and concern about the future, the conditions of where their careers will take them, what role they will be able to play in society," Macron said. "… I hear what they are saying, for the past ten years I've been fighting for them, so we need to pay heed to what they are saying."

Macron said he ordered officials to increase security around public buildings and businesses, with protests potentially restricted in some areas.

At least 2,400 people were arrested nationwide, including 855 in the Paris region, according to the AP.

More than 500 police officers, gendarmes and firefighters were injured, the AP reported, citing Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez.

Authorities estimated roughly 550,000 people took part in Saturday's demonstrations, while organizers put turnout at 800,000, according to the AP.

Hundreds of businesses were looted nationwide, and unrest continued Sunday in Paris, where police used tear gas as tensions flared around Place de la République.

The criticism also comes as Macron faces scrutiny over his decision to attend a Celine Dion concert with his wife, Brigitte, on Friday night, on the eve of the nationwide demonstrations.

The protests, fueled in part by anger over rising living costs, school conditions and public services, erupted into violence Saturday.

Macron's office and Le Figaro could not immediately be reached by Fox News Digital for comment.

Falcons rookie Kendal Daniels stretchered off field after helmet-to-knee collision in scary scene

Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels needed to be stretchered off the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium after colliding with a Chicago Bears player while trying to make a tackle.

Daniels was sprinting in to take down Bears tight end Colston Loveland when his helmet smashed into Loveland’s knee.

While he made the play, Daniels shook his head immediately and was clearly in some pain as his teammates started to converge around him.

Daniels, who was taken in the fourth round out of Oklahoma in the 2026NFL Draft, was attended to by numerous medical staff as the entire Falcons sideline started to circle their teammate. Some even began to pray as the injury to Daniels became more serious.

Some reporters in the press box in Atlanta noted seeing Daniels having his jersey cut off by medical staff. Then, he was placed in a gurney with his body stabilized.

"You just saw his left hand there – we have seen his hand move a couple times. He’s conscious and every precaution taken to give him the best care. I sure hope he’s OK," FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt said over the broadcast.

It's great to see Daniels moving his extremities considering how scary those potential neck injuries can be on hits like that.

"Hard for these teammates to watch their partner go out there like that. They’re going to do the best they can to represent him the rest of the game," Tom Brady added over the broadcast.

Daniels has been a starter for Kevin Stefanski’s Falcons defense in all six games during his rookie season.

He’s played well, too, collecting 22 combined tackles, one sack and one pass defended over five games entering this tilt with the Bears on Sunday.

Major League Baseball's best team can't stop pretending to be the underdogs heading into World Series

The American League Championship Series is tied at two games apiece heading into Sunday evening's game five. After the Tampa Bay Rays offense scuffled against the Cleveland Guardians' pitching staff, they finally broke through in game four thanks to Yandy Diaz, Jonathan Aranda and Richie Palacios.

Not exactly the most famous names in Major League Baseball, sure, but an example of the Rays' depth and ability to create tough matchups for opposing pitchers up and down the lineup. Game five will pair two of the top ten pitchers in baseball in 2026, by FanGraphs WAR, Drew Rasmussen and Parker Messick. Again, not the most well-known names, sure, but based on performance, those two pitchers outperformed highly paid, big-name starters like Zack Wheeler, Framber Valdez, Kevin Gausman or Max Fried.

Given the inherent volatility and randomness of postseason baseball, trying to draw permanent or predictive conclusions from small sample size outcomes is ultimately pointless. But there is one clear pattern that's been obvious for years and become even more apparent in 2026: there are no underdogs in the playoffs. So why is the best team in baseball still acting like one?

On the other side of the tournament bracket, the Milwaukee Brewers swept the very expensive Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. The Brewers bullpen, behind Aaron Ashby, DL Hall, JoJo Romero, Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill, among others, was virtually unhittable. Well, not necessarily unhittable, but impossible to score runs against. Those pitchers allowed just two runs in 15.2 innings of relief in the NLCS, both from Uribe. In 13 innings from Ashby, Hall, Romero and Megill, not one runner who reached base scored. Not one. League-wide, the average left on base rate is roughly 75%. For Milwaukee's bullpen, outside one outing from Uribe, it was 100%.

Offensively, it was more of the same. League average for batting average on balls put in play is around .300. Here's the Milwaukee BABIP from the LCS:

Hilariously, Garrett Mitchell had a .000 BABIP because his only two hits were series-changing home runs off left-handed starting pitchers, despite having just two homers off lefties in his entire career. Milwaukee's starting pitchers, too, allowed just three earned runs, despite woeful strikeout-walk percentages of 0%, 10% and 10.5%.

Much of that comes down to, again, the randomness that's part of small sample sizes. Weird things happen in three or four games throughout the regular season all the time, without anyone noticing or caring. But with the spotlight on, outcomes become part of some mystical, usually made-up approach or perceived grittiness. The Brewers this postseason have been credited by baseball analysts for their supposed plan to put the ball in play. Make contact, see what happens, instead of just selling out for home runs and striking out instead.

What actually happened? Milwaukee outhomered the Dodgers 7-1 and had the highest "three true outcomes," or strikeouts-walks-home runs, rate of any team in postseason history. Whatever the Brewers' plan actually was, the reality is that their approach was exactly the one that analysts, former players paid handsomely to give their "expert" opinions and fans claim doesn't work in October. Clearly, it works.

Regardless, while the series might have had fluky components, between Milwaukee's fortunate luck on balls in play, runners in scoring position performance and pitching outcomes, the ultimate series result was anything but. The Brewers were once again the best team in baseball in 2026, just as they were in 2025. They had the best run differential in baseball, at +214. For reference, they were more than 170 runs better, over one run per game, better, than the very expensive San Diego Padres team they beat in the division series round.

They've won more games than anyone in baseball since the start of the 2025 season. They were the best team in the league when it comes to outscoring their opponents over the course of the 2026 season. Before the NLCS, 13 of 15 ESPN writers picked the Brewers to beat the Dodgers. So why do they keep acting like nobody believes in them?

In 2025, Brewers manager Pat Murphy played the underdog card before that year's NLCS, acting as though his opponent had not heard of the team they were facing.

"I'm sure that most Dodger players can't name eight guys on our roster," Murphy told reporters. "No offense to them, they shouldn't have to know the names, but these are some guys that hopefully they know their names by the time it's over. You never know."

As insufferable and absurd as that was, Murphy continued in the middle of the 2026 season, acting like his team's biggest division rival had also not heard of his players who were currently in first place.

"We know how these series go, you know, you erase it and just keep going," Murphy said about the Chicago Cubs. "It's not necessarily a game where they're ever going to be intimidated by guys, they don't even know most of our guys' names, so they're never going to be intimidated by us, but we're not looking for that."

Yes, of course, nobody knows the players on the team in first place in the division. You'd think that after winning 103 games, performing as the consensus best team in baseball, and sweeping the NLCS, Murphy would drop his shtick, but he couldn't even wait a few minutes before trotting it out yet again in the game four postgame celebrations.

"They got a bunch of hall of famers," Murphy said about the Dodgers. "We got a bunch of gamers. And the gamers won this week."

Ah. Sure.

Of course the Dodgers have an exceptional amount of talent, including Hall of Famers like Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts. The Brewers have an exceptional amount of talent too, and Murphy's routine of pretending like his team is a bunch of humble farmers who were playing stickball out back a few days ago is absurd and offensive. Though apparently diminishing his own roster is part of the team's motivational playbook.

Jacob Misiorowski is 24-years-old, and a near-lock to win the NL Cy Young Award. He's so overwhelming that he was added to the 2025 NL All-Star team after just a handful of appearances in the big leagues. Obviously, Misiorowski is very early in his career, but who's to say he won't be a Hall of Famer later on? He's certainly on track after a year and a half. Misiorowski's salary is artificially limited by MLB's rules that punish young players, but were he available on the open market, he'd be making $50-60 million this season.

Jackson Chourio is only 22 and just set the MLB record for most home runs in a postseason career before turning 23. If that's not the start of a potential Hall of Fame career, what is? Chourio signed an $82 million contract with Milwaukee already that would have been significantly higher were it not buying out years of cheap team control.

Christian Yelich was the 2018 NL MVP, the same season Betts won his lone MVP award. He's a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner, three-time All-Star and two-time batting champion. If he doesn't make the Hall of Fame, he'll certainly come up just short.

Brice Turang was a first round draft pick who won a Platinum Glove for his defense in 2024. Garrett Mitchell is another former first round pick out of UCLA. Total nobody. Logan Henderson was a top-100 prospect entering the season. Jake Bauers has been awful for most of his career, but graduated in 2018 as a top-50 prospect.

William Contreras has been so good in his five years as a starter that he already ranks No. 96 in career WAR among all catchers in baseball history. Should he keep up this pace for 10 more seasons, he'd amass 60 career WAR, putting him eighth all time at his position, ahead of surefire Hall of Famers like Buster Posey and Yadier Molina.

Milwaukee won the series not because they have "gamers," but because they have an immensely talented roster full of star-caliber players who are underpaid relative to their true value. That's not a criticism, it's a testament to their scouting, player development and front office. Like most playoff series, the only actual secret is having a pretty good team and hoping you get hot, and/or lucky, at the right time. That's what happened here. Pretending like they're hapless underdogs when, again, they are the best team in baseball, is ridiculous. Yes, the Dodgers have higher paid players. But money doesn't equal quality, particularly as players' age, which is what happens when organizations become reliant on free agents.

Murphy was so proud of his rehearsed line that he repeated it once again in the clubhouse celebrations. But here's the question: with the AL sending Cleveland or Tampa to the World Series, who spend even less on players and have fewer recognizable big names, how can he keep up the act? Can the Brewers keep pretending to be underdogs against the Guardians' No. 30 ranked payroll? Or will they be forced to finally admit that they just have a good team?

Seeing the social media reaction to Murphy's absurdist comments, the answer to that is, of course, no because underdog narratives, no matter how fake, are still immensely popular.

Chick-fil-A CEO addresses whether fast-food chain would ever consider opening on Sundays

Since its founding in 1946, fast-food chicken chain Chick-fil-A has remained closed on Sundays, and according to CEO Andrew Cathy, that policy will not be changing any time soon.

"So it was open 24 hours a day, six days a week, and it was very common back in the 1940s that a lot of places were closed on Sunday," Cathy told NBC's "Today" co-anchor Craig Melvin in an interview.

"And so they wanted to do that. They wanted to have a chance to take a break … go to church, and for others just to take some rest."

Employees seem to appreciate the policy, he noted, and they like knowing they're guaranteed one day off every week.

Cathy, who has been Chick-fil-A's CEO for the past five years, said he's never considered how much revenue the chain might be missing out on by remaining closed on Sundays.

"And that's being truthfully honest with you. I never have because it's never something that we're entertaining. It's just too important for us," he said.

He noted that it's a benefit of being a private, family-owned business that they can choose to continue implementing a policy that's not maximizing sales.

However, with an average annual sales volume of $9,161,239 in 2025, Chick-fil-A outperformed multiple major fast-food chains including Wendy’s and Burger King — despite being open six days a week.

The company receives about 150,000 franchise applications each year, Cathy told "Today."

Chick-fil-A opened 179 franchises and company-operated outlets in 2025, according to QSR Magazine, reaching 2,863 locations total.

The fast-food chain has been using the same recipe for its classic chicken sandwich since 1967, when it was created by founder S. Truett Cathy.

Investigation launched after Air Force airman fatally falls before UTSA football game

An Air Force service member died Saturday after falling while rappelling from the rafters of the Alamodome ahead of The University of Texas at San Antonio’s (UTSA) game against Navy.

The airman was assigned to the 6th Combat Training Squadron, Detachment 2, out of Nellis Air Force Base. His identity has not been released, and the incident is under military investigation.

The demonstration was part of UTSA's annual Salute to Armed Forces & Veterans pregame ceremony. Four officers were scheduled to rappel onto the field 15 minutes before kickoff.

The service member appeared to lose control during his descent, slid down the line, and crashed onto the turf. Medical personnel treated him onsite before transporting him by stretcher to a local hospital, where he later died.

The personnel involved in the demonstration are specialized tactical air controllers who embed with Army and Marine ground units to direct air and artillery strikes. Their operational training regularly includes rapid rope insertions from heights of 100 feet or more.

Kickoff was delayed by 10 minutes. UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor called the incident "heartbreaking" and "tragic," noting the immediate shift inside the stadium.

"You could tell the energy was just gone," Coach Traylor said. "It just really puts things in perspective. It really does."

The American Conference released a statement, via OutKick senior CFB reporter Trey Wallace, explaining their decision to play the game following the tragedy.

In a public statement, UTSA President Taylor Eighmy said:

"Our hearts are heavy following the tragic incident at the Alamodome prior to Saturday's UT San Antonio football game against the U.S. Naval Academy. What was intended to be a day of camaraderie, tradition and celebration has been marked by profound sadness. I want to extend my deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to the service member's family, his fellow airmen, squadron and all those whose lives have been touched by this heartbreaking tragedy."

Abdul El-Sayed invokes JFK to dismiss 'crazy' questions over family's alleged ties to Muslim Brotherhood

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed compared himself to former President John F. Kennedy during a Saturday "MS NOW Reports" interview with Ali Velshi, likening questions about his family's alleged Muslim Brotherhood ties to scrutiny Kennedy faced over his Catholic faith.

El-Sayed invoked Kennedy's 1960 presidential campaign while arguing that questions about his family were intended to cast doubt on his allegiance to the United States.

"I also know that I tread a long history of this: when John F. Kennedy ran for president, he was asked about whether or not his allegiance would be to the Constitution or to the pope and the Vatican…" he began.

"The Constitution guarantees me the right as I choose to pray or any of us, to pray as we choose to pray or not to pray at all," he continued. "Nobody understands how important that document is like somebody who has their rights constantly threatened and so I will stand for that constitution. And it's a crazy thing to assume that somehow I'd have dual loyalties as somebody who's avidly running to protect the right to choose, who's running to protect LGBTQ rights, who's running to protect religious freedom…"

EL-SAYED ASKED IF HE BELIEVES AMERICA IS 'READY FOR A MUSLIM PRESIDENT' AHEAD OF SENATE RACE

Ted Goodman, communications director of the Michigan GOP, pushed back on El-Sayed's comparison in a statement to Fox News Digital, arguing that the allegations involving the Democrat's relatives were fundamentally different from the religious scrutiny Kennedy faced.

"Abdul El-Sayed’s comparison of scrutiny over his Muslim Brotherhood ties to the questions JFK faced about the Vatican is a false equivalence," Goodman said. "The Catholic Church and the Muslim Brotherhood are not analogous."

"The actual evidence against Abdul El-Sayed is not hearsay based on his faith, but actual facts as reported by numerous reputable news outlets," he continued.

Velshi asked El-Sayed how he responded to questions involving the Muslim Brotherhood, terrorism and radical Islamism. El-Sayed suggested the scrutiny was designed to raise doubts about his loyalty.

"Look, at the end of the day, the whole reason this question is being asked is to insinuate that somehow I have dual loyalties," he said.

The controversy followed reporting on social media posts uncovered by the Washington Free Beacon in which El-Sayed's half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi, described her family's history with the Muslim Brotherhood.

In one 2012 post, Abdelhadi described a conversation with her and El-Sayed's mother, Fatten Elkomy, about her involvement with the organization during college in Egypt.

"Had an amazing talk with my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s while she was in college #respect."

ABDUL EL-SAYED PROTESTED AGAINST 'EX-TERRORISTS' WHO CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY, UNEARTHED REPORT REVEALS

In another post, Abdelhadi characterized her family's history with the organization.

"My family has long been MB, but I've always felt that it has navigated the political sphere poorly/destructively."

El-Sayed previously denied that he or his family had ties to the organization during an Oct. 11 appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press." Days later, he was pressed by NBC's Tom Llamas about his half-sister's statements and whether he had discussed the allegations with his mother.

El-Sayed maintained that he had no personal connections to the group and disputed the significance of his sister's posts.

"I have never had these conversations with my mother. I wasn’t raised by my mother..." he said.

Goodman cited El-Sayed's father-in-law, Tayeb Jukaku, whose involvement with the Islamic Society of North America and CAIR's Michigan chapter was documented by the Washington Free Beacon. The outlet also reported that Jukaku contributed $200,000 to a super PAC supporting El-Sayed. The organization was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism-financing case.

The Treasury Department designated the Egyptian and Jordanian branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as Specially Designated Global Terrorists in January for providing material support to Hamas.

The allegations involving El-Sayed's relatives have not established that he personally belonged to the organization. El-Sayed's campaign previously rejected accusations involving his family in a statement to Fox News Digital, accusing Republican opponent Mike Rogers of using the controversy to attack his faith.

"Independent fact-checkers have repeatedly debunked Mike’s lies, but their campaign continues to use bad faith attacks on Abdul's faith and family," the campaign said.

Kaia recalled being scared to get her ears pierced when the two were younger.

"i got scared before getting my ears pierced, so you went first. you always went first. but when i held the earring they took from your body, all i could think was: that belongs to you."

In another passage, Kaia said she was still learning how to be Presley’s sister "in a world that I can’t reach for you in."

"I don’t know how to do that yet," she wrote.

She ended the tribute with a series of heartbreaking declarations.

"My darling brother. I do adore you," Kaia wrote. "I love my brother. My brother is dead."

"And this party sucks so bad without you, prez," she added.

Gerber died Sept. 20 at age 27 while staying at a rehabilitation facility, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The model's cause of death was "deferred," according to online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The medical examiner told Fox News Digital that "the investigation is still ongoing and there is limited information available."

Santa Monica Police Department officials are investigating the death as "a suspected overdose," according to a release from the department.

A representative for the family told Fox News Digital, "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."

Months before his death, Presley Gerber shared a raw look at his battle with addiction and the treatment he hoped would help him find his way back to himself.

In March, the model posted a video of himself preparing to undergo an "ibogaine flood dose," a psychedelic treatment, at a wellness clinic in Cancún, Mexico.

According to Stanford Medicine, ibogaine is a naturally occurring psychedelic derived from the root bark of the Tabernanthe iboga shrub. It has "gained interest from the medical and scientific communities for its potential to treat opioid and cocaine addiction, and research has suggested that it increases signaling of several important molecules within the brain, some of which have been linked to drug addiction and depression."

The treatment is legal in some countries, but not in the United States.

"Quiet moment before everything changed," Presley Gerber wrote in the Instagram caption. "I was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this."

Gerber said letting go of control was difficult, but he trusted "there was something bigger than me guiding it."

"I knew why I was there. I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, I started finding my way back to myself," he wrote.

He also said he was "praying it’s the last time" he would need to return for treatment.

Presley Gerber’s post was one of several instances in which he publicly documented his recovery journey. In recent years, he had spoken candidly about depression, panic attacks, addiction and the challenges of seeking treatment.

During a 2023 episode of the "Studio 22" podcast, Presley Gerber discussed his experiences with depression and other mental health challenges.

"[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it," he said.

"That’s really what I want to do is help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body," he continued. "I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment."

Gerber said he hoped his experiences could help other people avoid making similar mistakes.

"I’ve seen a lot of stuff, and I’ve learned a lot of things," he said. "What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made."

He also explained why he wanted to be open about his mental health journey.

"Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do," Gerber said.

Steelers coach Mike McCarthy injures himself and it was serious enough he never got to halftime locker room

It's been a rough day for Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike McCarthy, and that's only partially because his team is struggling against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Steelers trailed the Bucs 13-3 at halftime with their offense obviously not scoring a touchdown and also converting only 1 of 6 third-down opportunities.

So it was time for McCarthy to get his team in the halftime locker room and rethink the game plan. That makes sense because, you know, McCarthy needed to address whatever was not working, make adjustments, and maybe yell some motivating words.

Except McCarthy never made it to the halftime locker room.

While he was walking off the sideline and headed to an interview with a CBS sideline reporter, McCarthy apparently suffered some sort of leg injury. Multiple reports said McCarthy appeared to twist an ankle.

The 62-year-old coach then had another Steelers' staffer help him off the field by serving as a bit of a human crutch.

Week 7 AP Top 25 Poll features a complete shuffle after chaotic weekend, with Miami taking over the top spot

Week 7 of the 2026 college football season will go down as one of the most chaotic ever, with five Top 10 teams suffering losses, and the newest AP Top 25 Poll reflects the craziness that unfolded.

For the first time this season, not one team in the AP Poll remained in the same spot it found itself ranked the week prior. We've also got a fresh new Top 3 teams in the country, with Miami taking over the No. 1 spot, followed by BYU at No. 2 and Ohio State sitting in third.

When it comes to the biggest jump in the poll, that would belong to the Florida Gators at No. 20 after moving up 12 spots from a week ago. Coincidentally, the team Florida beat, Texas, is the biggest faller in the latest poll, moving from No. 7 all the way back to No. 19 after suffering its second straight loss.

While it's a week of total reshuffling across the Top 25, the biggest debate revolves around which team actually deserves the No. 1 spot.

The Hurricanes needed double overtime to beat Florida State at home, 43-35, and have not played a ranked team all season. BYU received 20 first-place votes compared to Miami's 40, after moving to 6-0 with its win over No. 2 Notre Dame, 28-24.

Kentucky can't be too upset as the No. 12 team in the nation under first-year head coach Will Stein, but the Wildcats certainly have a case to be a Top 10 team.

It's interesting to note that there are five teams in this week's AP Top 25 Poll with two losses, and all five are SEC programs.

When it comes to being sneaky, how about the Big 12 having not one, not two, not three, but four teams ranked inside the Top 15, with Houston at No. 14, Utah at No. 10, Texas Tech at No. 8, and BYU in the No. 2 spot. Houston travels to Utah on Saturday for a huge matchup with playoff implications.

Golfer distracted by 'a nice rack' shanks tee shot in the direction of large bull elk, wisely grabs a new ball

Golfing in Estes Park, Colorado is already an adventure even when you're not shanking tee shots in the direction of nearby large bull elks. That's partly due to the antics of one of the bull elk named Smash.

He's been known to give chase after trucks and golf carts that get too close for comfort. If you hit a golf ball in his direction, like this woman unfortunately did, it's best to take whatever penalty may come and reach for another golf ball.

She took a quick look down the fairway, lined up her shot, then hit the ball right in Smash's direction. She reached for a new tee and had another ball tossed her way. Even with her golf club in hand, she wasn’t about to take her chances.

Playing it where it lies was off the table. Her second shot was a much better one, according to Good Bull Outdoors:

"Golfers trying to get back (unintentionally) at Smash for all his antics this year!" they wrote. "She had to abandon her original drive because it landed right next to Smash but her second shot looked good!"

The golfer had a good excuse for shanking her tee shot. A woman claiming to be the one who hit the ball toward the feisty elk bull responded with, "That was me! Lol I might have been a bit distracted everyone likes a nice rack."

It's hard to argue with that. Being distracted by a nice rack happens to the best of us. Good Bull Outdoors reiterated that she made up for the shanked shot when she had a chance to redeem herself.

Homan says Ilhan Omar could be stripped of naturalization, deported if immigration fraud is proven

Border czar Tom Homan said Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., could be denaturalized and deported if investigators find that she committed immigration fraud, repeating his assertion that no one is above the law after her home was raided and cellphone seized.

"Of course, if you lie during the naturalization process, there is a process to denaturalize somebody. We've done it before... And certainly, if the evidence points that way, that could happen," Homan told "The Big Weekend Show" on Saturday.

Omar will "be held to the same standards you and I are held [to]. If she violated the law, then she'll be held accountable," he added, declining to discuss the specifics of the investigation into the congresswoman.

"I said over a year ago, the allegations were made clear, and it would be investigated, and they are investigating it," he said. "I'm not going to get ahead of the bureau or HSI, but I've been told they have a strong case, and we'll let the evidence lead where it leads."

Omar is under federal investigation over allegations that she or her father lied about her birth year on immigration paperwork to obtain her citizenship when her family fled Somalia in the late 1990s.

Omar and other Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., have denounced the probe as political persecution of one of President Donald Trump's detractors weeks before a critical election.

"That's a question for the FBI. I know things, but that's the question for FBI," he said.
