2 Navy aviators eject during landing 'mishap' aboard USS Eisenhower, injuring 4 sailors

Two U.S. Navy aviators ejected while trying to land their aircraft on USS Dwight D. Eisenhower off the coast of Virginia Monday evening in what the Navy described as a "mishap" that also injured four sailors.

The sailors were on board the aircraft carrier at the time. One sailor is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a Norfolk-area hospital, the Navy said.

The aviators, assigned to Carrier Air Wing 3, were successfully brought back to the ship by search and rescue personnel. They are being evaluated by medical personnel, the Navy said.

The Navy did not reveal which type of two-seater plane was involved in the accident. It also did not specify what happened to the plane or what could have happened to cause the accident.

The Navy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, a nuclear-powered Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, entered service in 1977.

The incident follows several recent mishaps in which military aviators had to eject.

In May, four Navy crew members ejected safely after two EA-18G Growlers collided during an aerial demonstration at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. Both aircraft, worth about $67 million apiece, crashed after they collided.

Buckley said some people he knew who had to eject suffered spinal injuries that left them several inches shorter.

"When you pull that handle, you have two choices: die or maybe live. And I said, 'maybe live' because it's incredibly violent," Buckley said. "Most folks don't even remember the ejection. They remember pulling the handle and then waking up in their parachute."

Benjamin Satterley, the All Elite Wrestling star known as Pac and former WWE competitor known as Neville, was firmly on the mind of Penta during "Monday Night Raw."

Penta subtly paid tribute to Satterley as he took part in a tag team match with Je’Von Evans against Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. During the Luchador’s entrance, Penta was seen with the word "Pac" emblazoned on his left boot.

Pac was on the minds of the pro wrestling world after AEW announced the wrestler’s death on Sunday night. He was 40.

WWE broadcasted a tribute graphic to him to begin "Monday Night Raw."

Penta and Pac competed against each other in AEW and at least once in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).

Satterley died Sunday hours after he competed against Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at All Out.

"All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac," the company said. "A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.

"Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans."

The Des Plaines Police Department told OutKick Dropkick there were no indications of foul play and the circumstances around Satterley’s death were not deemed to be suspicious. Police said the cause of death would be determined by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Satterley was found "passed out" outside of a CAVA restaurant at around 4 p.m. local time, the California Post reported, citing 911 audio. An official who arrived on the scene reportedly said Satterley was dead on arrival.

Satterley was one of the first wrestlers to sign with All Elite Wrestling in 2019. He was a two-time trios champion and the inaugural all-Atlantic champion.

Before wrestling in AEW, he was with WWE and known as Neville. Satterley was a two-time cruiserweight champion, an NXT champion and two-time NXT tag team champion.

New discoveries at an ancient site in Greece are revealing the remains of a sprawling royal complex where young Macedonians studied and trained — offering new clues about a school tied to one of history's most legendary rulers.

The recent finds were announced by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, part of the Greek government, in early September.

The excavation centers on Mieza, an ancient Macedonian city in northern Greece, where archaeologists have been uncovering a sprawling complex known as the Royal Gymnasium.

It has long been believed, based on ancient accounts, that a young Alexander the Great was taught by Aristotle at Mieza.

The site dates to the reign of Philip II, Alexander the Great's father, in the fourth century B.C.

Archaeologists began excavating the site in 2024, gradually uncovering evidence of an expansive complex where young Macedonians studied, trained and dined.

This year's excavation has focused on the eastern side of the complex, including the palaestra and the "Didaskaleion," or teaching area, where archaeologists identified lecture rooms with stone benches.

One of the most significant discoveries was a three-part complex spanning more than 1,700 square feet within the Didaskaleion, or teaching area, according to the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.

The space includes a central entry room and two banquet rooms with surviving mosaic floors and raised platforms that once held dining couches.

Though the buildings were destroyed by the Romans after the second Battle of Pydna in 148 B.C., officials noted that "significant architectural remains have survived."

Those remains are now giving researchers a clearer picture of what education may have looked like for young Macedonian elites.

Alexandra F. Morris, a lecturer in ancient history at Queen's University Belfast, told Fox News Digital that ancient texts link Alexander and Aristotle to Mieza, while the archaeological discoveries are providing a physical setting for those accounts.

"What we have in the ancient text is writers like Plutarch, basically just a line in the text saying that Alexander was taught by Aristotle at Mieza," Morris told Fox News Digital.

"But now we have an actual building to put that story to, which is really exciting."

The evidence makes the identification increasingly compelling, the historian said, though she cautioned that researchers cannot yet definitively say Aristotle taught Alexander in this particular complex.

"There is no inscription that directly names the site," said Morris. "I think the identification we have right now is a strong argument, but it’s still only an argument that Aristotle potentially taught Alexander here."

"But the case seems to be getting stronger."

Education at an ancient gymnasium looked far different from a typical school day today, Morris also noted.

"You would go there to train physically as part of your day," Morris said. "So you would compete in sports games like pankration, which was a form of wrestling. You would then go and listen to lectures."

Students would also dine and drink together — giving young Macedonian elites an opportunity to forge relationships with their peers.

"You were there to learn, but you were also there to learn how to build loyalty with other elite men who were there," the historian added.

"So you're also forming networking and forming connections, and this helped Alexander when he became king."

WWE star Jaida Parker crashes 'Monday Night Raw,' runs over Jacob Fatu with her car as top factions go to war

WWE "Monday Night Raw" came to a raucous end in Milwaukee as the 946 and Bloodline factions came to a crashing head.

It had been weeks of mind games between the two sides. Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price set Jey and Jimmy Usos’ car on fire and, last week, kidnapped Solo Sikoa before dropping him off near a beach. Jacob Fatu tried to get his family to simmer down and wait for the right moment to strike, but for him, kidnapping Sikoa was the last straw.

The Bloodline started the night calling out the 946. When an SUV pulled up to the arena, The Usos and Fatu were there to accost the person coming out of the vehicle. Instead, it was Jaida Parker who exited the vehicle. Parker told Jey Uso she was there to talk to Raw general manager Adam Pearce, which at the time, made sense as she appeared to put her NXT days behind her.

Parker would play a larger role later in the night.

Keys, Price and Nima finally entered the arena and immediately traded blows with the Usos and Fatu. The fight went all around the arena. The cameras cut to Keys and Fatu battling in the parking area. When Keys finally thought he’d be able to get a break and leave, Fatu pulled him out of his SUV.

Keys fought off Fatu just enough to get back into his car. Fatu was stumbling trying to get his footing when a Maserati came out of nowhere and plowed through the "Samoan Werewolf."

It was Parker who got out of the car. She seemed concerned at first. But those concerns quickly drifted away as she seemingly aligned herself with Keys’ group.

"Ain’t nobody safe," she said as she stood over Fatu.

Keys and Parker got back into the SUV while Fatu writhed in pain on the ground.

"All gas, no brakes," Keys yelled out the window before driving off.

After "Monday Night Raw" went off the air, WWE posted a clip on its social media showing medical personnel putting Fatu into the back of an ambulance.

What a way to make a debut for Parker. She has some history with Price and Nima. Parker aligned herself with OTM in NXT, which included Price and Nima. The three battled against the D’Angelo Family for a brief time before Parker’s popularity rose in the brand.

Parker was never able to get gold in NXT but her prowess in the ring and on the mic speaks for itself. Now, she gets to prove herself even more as a member of the Raw roster.

Rubio confirms 'foreign actor' involved in UK terror plot

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that a recent thwarted terror plot near a United Kingdom military base used by the United States involved a "foreign actor," linking the incident to global threats from adversaries such as Iran.

"What happened, what almost happened, what could have happened in the U.K. over the weekend is a very serious situation," Rubio told Fox News' "Hannity" on Monday night. "It's one that clearly involves the hands of a foreign actor."

"I won't get into great detail about that yet."

Rubio added there would be "repercussions" for threats against U.S. interests.

"I think it ties us to the reality here, and that is, we are dealing with elements in the world, and in the case of Iran, for example, who have openly threatened to attack American interests globally," he continued. "We're going to always take that very seriously. There will be repercussions for that, if it ever were to happen or even attempted."

Rubio thanked the partners in the U.K. for helping thwart the "very serious threat" of an attack.

"I want to thank the U.K. for their cooperation and their help on it," he said. "There's a lot more news that will come out on this in the days to come. British police declared a major incident at the RAF Fairford base in western England following the arrests early Sunday, and the government held a national emergency meeting.

Police, however, released the five on bail Monday but said the investigation was not over, and they were examining whether individuals acting for a foreign state were involved.

President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday that the incident "might be" connected to Iran, which the United States has been at war with since late February, and that he would not have released the suspects on bail.

"I wouldn't have done that," he said.

A source familiar with the situation told Reuters that three large white vans the men appeared to travel in had not contained viable explosives.

The Reuters source said Sunday's police response had not been intelligence-led — an indication that the five were not under direct surveillance — but security had been beefed up at the base, suggesting there was information it was being targeted.

The five arrested are all British nationals in their early 20s from London. They were detained in the early hours on Sunday after police were alerted by a local farmer to the three white vans parked near RAF Fairford.

Local residents have said security was significantly beefed up at the base in the days leading up to Sunday. The local farmer told reporters that one neighbor, driving past the base on Saturday night, had been ordered by U.S. security personnel to stop and put their hands out of their car.

The farmer, who asked not to be named, called the police after she returned home around 1 a.m. local time and found three large vans parked in the road, one with a fake telephone number on it, and a group of hooded and masked men running away.

A large cordon remained around the base Tuesday morning and roadblocks were in place, although local media reports said residents from nearby homes which had been evacuated were returning.

Western governments have warned in recent years of the threat of hostile actors from Iran, Russia and elsewhere organizing destabilizing activity or hiring proxies to carry out plots.

Britain raised its national terrorism threat level to its second-highest in April after a series of antisemitic incidents in north London, meaning an attack is considered highly likely.

It has also imposed sanctions on individuals and entities linked to Iran, accusing them of involvement in hostile ‌activity including plotting attacks and providing financial services to groups seeking to destabilize Britain and other countries.

Real winner of Xi summit revealed as Trump looks to usher in new era with China

For years, being "soft" on China was a political insult hurled across the aisle. Great-power competition ruled. Washington increasingly prepared for the possibility of war with Beijing as the national security world pivoted toward the Indo-Pacific.

The scene in D.C. last week looked markedly different as President Donald Trump attempts to welcome in a new era with the world's second-biggest superpower and growing adversary — especially when it comes to the ever-changing tech landscape.

Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping with a red carpet and the pomp of a state visit last week, speaking warmly about his relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader as the two sides looked for new areas of cooperation.

"The summit went great — for Xi Jinping," Scott Kennedy, a China economics expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told Fox News Digital.

The reception was striking given how Washington's leaders have spent years describing the challenge posed by Beijing: Chinese hackers penetrating American networks, state-backed efforts to steal U.S. technology and trade secrets, unfair trade practices and a rapidly expanding military with its sights set on Taiwan.

Gordon Chang, a China analyst and author who has long advocated a harder line toward Beijing, said there was a distinction between keeping lines of communication open with a rival and giving Xi the reception he received in Washington.

"I understand that you have a need for dialogue, but when you have that dialogue, you don't necessarily have to have all of the ceremony and all the legitimization," Chang told Fox News Digital. "We can talk to the Chinese, but we don't need to do it in the way that occurred last week."

Trump, however, is betting that a warmer relationship with Xi can produce results despite those enduring disputes. The question is how much Beijing's behavior has actually changed — and what Washington is willing to live with in pursuit of a more stable relationship.

Kennedy explained that "the U.S. got a few small things — agreement to lower tariffs on $60B worth of goods, some purchases of specific items (such as agricultural and coal), the standing up of an AI dialogue, and alignment on major goals with regard to Iran and the Strait of Hormuz."

"But Xi came away the winner because the current commercial ceasefire works mainly to Beijing’s advantage," he added. "It gives them time to continue unabated their drive for tech self-reliance, narrow the lead in various sectors, including AI, and maintain an imbalanced commercial relationship with its trading partners."

TRUMP'S QUIET CHINA WINS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN XI'S EMPTY STATE VISIT

Chang identified the same commodity as particularly valuable to Beijing: time.

"While we talk, we defer taking action," Chang said. "So China got delay. And that is, I think, absolutely critical."

The administration has gotten movement from Beijing on some long-running disputes.

China has tightened controls on chemicals used to make fentanyl and, according to the White House, arrested 21 Chinese nationals in August based on information supplied by U.S. law enforcement. Trump is still pressing Xi to permanently restrict additional precursor chemicals, but the steps mark tangible progress on an issue that has bedeviled Washington for years.

Trade is more complicated.

Trump and Xi emerged from last week's talks with a new list of $30 billion in American products and $30 billion in Chinese products recommended for lower tariffs. For U.S. exporters, that could mean better access to the Chinese market for agricultural products, seafood, timber, cosmetics and medical devices.

But there is a gap between the announcement and its impact. The two countries have agreed to consider favorable tariff treatment for the products — they have not yet put all of those lower tariffs into effect.

And Washington is still trying to get Beijing to make good on commitments it already made.

Nowhere is that more consequential than critical minerals, where China's dominance over global supply chains gives it enormous leverage over industries ranging from automobiles to weapons production.

After his May summit with Xi, Trump announced that China had agreed to address U.S. concerns over shortages of rare earths and other critical minerals.

Four months later, the issue remains unresolved.

The White House said after last week's summit that Washington and Beijing "continue to work" on restoring adequate shipments. No new comprehensive critical-minerals agreement was announced.

"China has not been living up to its commitments on supplying those minerals," Chang said.

The gap between Washington's warmer posture and its longstanding concerns about Beijing extends beyond trade.

Ahead of Xi's visit, Trump was asked about Chinese spying and cyber activity — an issue U.S. officials have spent years describing as one of the most persistent threats from Beijing.

"When they say China spies on us, I say you’re right, and we spy on them too," Trump said. "They basically do what we do."

Trump's own intelligence community describes the threat in markedly different terms.

The intelligence community's 2026 Annual Threat Assessment calls China the "most active and persistent cyber threat" to U.S. government, private-sector and critical infrastructure networks. U.S. officials have accused Beijing-linked hackers of burrowing into telecommunications networks through the Salt Typhoon campaign and pre-positioning inside critical infrastructure through Volt Typhoon — activity officials have warned could give China the ability to disrupt communications, energy, transportation and water systems in a future crisis.

"Yes, we do spy on each other, but there's a difference in the spying world," Chang said.

"There are so-called legitimate targets. That's the governments of each state, defense contractors. What is not considered legitimate is spying on civilian institutions, NGOs, universities, all the rest of it. China does that.

"I don't think it's his job to make excuses for China. His job is to protect the United States."

Taiwan offers another test of the new relationship.

A roughly $14 billion weapons package for the self-governed island remains in limbo months after Trump described it as a "very good negotiating chip" in his dealings with Beijing. China claims Taiwan as its territory and has continued military activity around the island even as relations with Washington have warmed.

"My sense is that Taiwan is nervous," Chang said, pointing to the still-pending package. "We still have not had that package green lighted."

Trump has also looked to Xi for help beyond the Indo-Pacific. U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue said Trump warned Xi against Chinese intelligence, components or military assistance reaching Tehran amid the war with Iran and suggested Beijing subsequently took action, saying, "They pulled some things down."

Perdue did not publicly specify what China curtailed.

The emerging relationship, then, is not simply a story of rapprochement. It is a test of Trump's wager that engagement with Xi can produce concrete results while managing threats that Washington still considers serious.

So far, that record is mixed.

Beijing has taken steps on fentanyl, and the two countries are exploring lower tariffs on billions of dollars in goods. But China's critical-minerals commitments remain unresolved. Its cyber operations remain a top U.S. intelligence concern. U.S. defense strategy remains heavily focused on deterring China in the Indo-Pacific, and Taiwan remains one of the most dangerous potential flashpoints between the two powers.

What has changed most dramatically, at least so far, is the relationship at the top — and Trump's willingness to bet that engagement with Xi can manage those risks better than confrontation alone.

4 simple habits can help slow muscle loss as you age, fitness expert says

As Americans increasingly turn to GLP-1 medications — which have been linked to a loss of lean muscle, especially during rapid weight loss — experts say preserving strength and mobility should be a priority as people age.

Jacob Zemer, a New York-based fitness coach who primarily trains clients ranging from 35 to 55 years old, said that beyond GLP-1s, there are several other reasons that adults start losing muscle as they get older.

"The biggest change is lifestyle," he told Fox News Digital. "When you're in your teen years or your 20s, you're running around, you're doing activities that lend themselves to building muscle."

That tends to change as people shift focus to career and family, the expert said.

"You simply become more sedentary, which lowers your metabolism and your level of activity, so you're going to have less muscle."

As people approach their 40s, hormone levels begin to change for both men and women, Zemer noted.

"That means we partition the calories we're using less and less for protein and building muscle, and more and more for simply storing as fat," he said.

"We see this all the time … people start to store fat in their tummies, and they start have less muscle."

Zemer said he believes that everyone should be "very mindful" about building muscle, starting from a young age.

"All the way up into your 50s, your goal should be to build muscle so that when you enter your golden years — your 60s, 70s, 80s — it's kind of like your 401K," he said.

"You're going to be depleting from it as you go through life. So in your 30s and 40s, you just have to be more strategic about it, because your lifestyle has changed. You need to go to the gym and train in order to have that muscle later in life."

Zemer shared the following strategies that can help people slow down muscle loss as they age.

No. 1: Get adequate protein

Protein helps to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, the body's process of repairing and building muscle, according to Zemer.

Including enough protein in your daily diet can help reduce the risk of sarcopenia, which is the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength.

While people’s protein needs will vary based on age, activity level and fitness goals, Zemer said people who regularly strength-train generally benefit from higher intake.

"If you're a sedentary person, you don't need to be obsessed with protein," he told Fox News Digital. "Very few people aren't getting enough protein in terms of macronutrients. But if you're training and going to the gym, you want to be getting somewhere between 0.8 to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight."

No. 2: Strength-train regularly

For general health, the U.S. Physical Activity Guidelines recommend that adults strength train at least two days per week, working all major muscle groups (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises using moderate or greater intensity until it's difficult to complete another repetition with good form.

The guidelines also recommend pairing the strength training with 150–300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity (or 75–150 minutes of vigorous activity) each week.

Lifting weights isn’t just about building muscle, but also preserving muscle, according to Zemer.

"Even if you have a busy week, and you went to the gym and you lifted weights 30 minutes twice a week, that may not be enough to build new muscle, but that is certainly enough to maintain muscle," he said.

"So it's very important that you lift weights a couple of times a week as you age."

For beginners, Zemer recommends focusing on a few basic functional movements. Body-weight exercises like squats, lunges, push-ups and pulling movements help build strength for everyday activities, while carrying weighted objects — known as a farmer's carry, Zemer said — can improve grip, balance and overall stability.

For people who feel intimidated by the gym, working with a qualified trainer for a few sessions can help boost confidence and refine technique, according to Zemer.

No. 3: Get sufficient sleep

Perhaps the most difficult strategy for maintaining muscle is to get enough quality sleep — seven to nine hours, Zemer emphasized.

"Now, if you don't get that every night, you're not going to lose muscle," he noted. "But when you start to look at actual serious sleep deficiency, like we're talking five hours consistently, that is when you see rapid muscle loss."

No. 4: Find alternatives if necessary

"The worst thing you can do, even if you're injured, is to stop doing anything," Zemer said.

"Find things you can do. Even if something hurts you, even if your knees aren't like what they used to be."

Even without structured workouts, regular movement can help slow age-related muscle loss, while being sedentary is associated with rapid declines in muscle mass and strength, the expert cautioned.

GLP-1s and muscle loss

The above strategies are especially important for people who are taking GLP-1 medications for weight loss, Zemer noted, as these drugs can lead to muscle loss in the absence of strength training or adequate protein.

"If you are on a GLP-1, just remember you're accelerating the rate of fat loss, but you're also accelerating the rate of lean muscle," he said.

"You want to make sure you're getting that protein and training, so that you are not losing muscle on top of the fat loss."

Rutgers female rugby club erases 'women' from its title name in favor of trans inclusion

Gender ideology has claimed another target in college sports at Rutgers University, where a female rugby club officially erased the word "women" from its team name.

Moving forward, players will take the pitch under the rebranded moniker "Rutgers Womxn’s Rugby."

Straight out of far-left academic circles, spellings like "womxn" were invented to scrub the word "man" from female terminology while signaling trans inclusion.

Unveiling the new title in a Sept. 24 social media post, team leaders released an official statement explaining the shift:

"Important Announcement: We're excited to announce that Rutgers Women's Rugby will be making the change to Rutgers Womxn's Rugby!

"This change reflects our team's commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment for our players. Inclusivity is an important part of who we are, and we want every member of our team to feel valued and represented through our organization. We are continuously evolving and want to properly reflect the standards of inclusion. We're proud to continue building a rugby community where everyone belongs."

While student-run club teams govern internal messaging, national and international sports federations establish competition eligibility rules based on biological sex.

Cheryl Reeve's WNBA Coach of the Year win shouldn't distract from her dangerous accusations

Cheryl Reeve added another WNBA Coach of the Year award to her collection Monday. Unfortunately, winning basketball games hasn't stopped her from treating disagreement with her politics as evidence of hatred.

The Minnesota Lynx coach received 40 of 74 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, earning the honor for a record fifth time. Her team finished with the WNBA's best record at 33-11, so there is an obvious basketball argument for the selection.

But it's worth remembering who votes on this award. I've written repeatedly about the largely left-wing women's basketball media and its tendency to celebrate progressive activism, while treating dissent as something that needs to be shut down. I doubt Reeve's politics hurt her standing with that crowd.

Before anyone explains that Reeve deserved to win simply because Minnesota finished with the best record in the WNBA, let's check that theory against, well, last season.

The best record doesn't guarantee Coach of the Year

The Lynx went 34-10 in 2025, four games ahead of second-seeded Las Vegas, and Reeve received just two Coach of the Year votes. This season, Minnesota won one fewer game and finished one game ahead of Golden State.

Reeve's previous award came in 2024, when Minnesota finished second. In fact, she is the first coach of the No. 1 seed to win since Becky Hammon in 2022, when Las Vegas tied Chicago for the best record and held the tiebreaker.

Reeve had a legitimate case this season, including guiding Minnesota through Napheesa Collier's extended absence. But her team lucking into Rookie of the Year Olivia Miles in the 2026 WNBA Draft definitely didn't hurt. The Dallas Wings could have (and should have) taken Miles, but elected to draft Paige Bueckers' girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, with the No. 1 pick instead.

And Reeve's politics certainly don't make her an outsider among the largely left-wing women's basketball media, a culture I've written about from firsthand experience.

Neither do Natalie Nakase's – the Golden State coach, who won the award last year, finished second with 20 votes.

"I’m all about women, little girls deserving to play, and that includes trans women. So I’m all about inclusivity," Nakase said in August.

"Deserving to play" is a convenient way to dodge the actual disagreement. The argument for protecting the female category is that male athletes should compete in the male category, regardless of "gender identity."

Nakase presents the choice as including people or excluding them from sports altogether.

Cheryl Reeve puts words in her critics' mouths

After Thursday's regular-season finale, Reeve discussed her advocacy for "transgender people" and the response to the "Trans Kids Belong" shirt she wore earlier this season. As OutKick previously reported, she portrayed the controversy as something much larger than sports.

"They don't want transgender people to exist," Reeve said.

That's a strong and sweeping accusation.

The dispute that brought this issue to the WNBA involved whether males should compete in girls' and women's sports and have access to female locker rooms.

But Reeve turned that into a claim that opponents want "transgender people" erased from existence.

Those are wildly different arguments.

IF GENDER DYSPHORIA IS A SOCIAL CONTAGION, WHAT'S THE REMEDY?

I believe women's sports should be reserved for females and that girls deserve privacy in their locker rooms. Neither position requires me to hate anyone, much less wish that person would stop existing.

That's a classic straw man. Reeve should be able to defend her position without pretending she doesn't understand mine.

The irony is that Reeve makes her living coaching in a league that exists because there is a separate category for female athletes.

She also knows that the presence of a boundary doesn't establish hatred of the people outside it. If she wants to argue for a different boundary, she can explain why. Accusing opponents of wanting people not to exist is a way to avoid the tougher position of arguing why males should be allowed in women's sports.

Anecdotal gratitude isn't scientific evidence

Reeve also discussed the response to her advocacy.

"With the platform that we have in professional sports, it was a small gesture by me, it’s something I believe in obviously wholeheartedly and so if I could have helped just one to feel differently about themselves because for the transgender community this really is about life and death for them," Reeve said about wearing a "Trans Kids Belong" shirt during a game against Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever earlier this season.

"The number of parents of transgender kids that I heard from and how it helped them and their families, it helped their child think differently about themselves and that there is someone in our position like we have as a leader. To know that there are people out there that believe in them, that they belong."

First, find someone who pats you on the back as hard as Cheryl Reeve pats herself on the back. My goodness, you can practically feel the self-congratulations through the camera.

But listen carefully to what she's saying. People thanking her for agreeing with them doesn't establish that her position is correct. It definitely doesn't establish that the people who disagree with her are a threat to their children.

The most telling part of her comments was this: "for the transgender community this really is about life and death."

While Reeve didn't openly say it, her implication is clear. A major left-wing talking point is that children will commit suicide without "gender-affirming care." Some parents say they've even heard that warning from their children's doctors.

In written testimony submitted to Connecticut lawmakers last year, Simon Amaya Price said a doctor asked his father: "Would you like a dead son, or a trans daughter?"

Imagine hearing that as a parent from a trusted physician. You're worried about your child, and now you're being told the choice could be between agreeing with the doctor and burying your son. Of course that language is powerful.

Pro-woman advocate Riley Gaines has described similar pressure on female athletes who object to males competing in women's sports.

"They told us that we would be murderers if we spoke out because we would be complicit in a potential death," Gaines said.

Gaines has called this "emotional blackmail," and she's right. Tell people they'll be responsible for someone's death if they speak up, and plenty will keep their mouths shut. That doesn't make their concerns go away. It makes them afraid to raise them.

And the truth is that the science doesn't favor their fearmongering tactics.

A 2025 systematic review of puberty blockers found very low certainty evidence for several psychological and physical outcomes. A separate 2025 study published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine found higher rates of depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts among adults with gender dysphoria who underwent surgery compared with those who did not.

A Finnish study published this year also raises questions about the promised mental-health benefits. Researchers found that use of specialist psychiatric care increased during follow-up among adolescents and young adults who underwent medical transition. Their conclusion: "Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment."

People like Reeve reach for emotional arguments because the evidence doesn't justify their certainty. It's much easier to advertise your compassion than defend dubious claims about mental health and suicidal ideation.

Calling yourself compassionate doesn't excuse dangerous accusations

What, exactly, is hateful about a mother or father wanting their daughter to have a female-only locker room? I'd like Reeve to answer that. What have those parents said or done to justify accusing them of not wanting other people to exist?

Think about what that accusation encourages Reeve's supporters to believe about those parents. Why listen to their valid concerns if you've already decided that they're evil people?

I've seen a version of that dynamic firsthand. When I asked Dawn Staley about males competing in women's college basketball, some media members were more interested in attacking the question (or the reporter) than examining the answer. The premise seemed to be that asking it was, itself, the offense.

Reeve is telling people their opponents don't want them to exist. Once you have framed the other side as an existential threat, treating those people with contempt becomes much easier to justify. Wrapping that message in talk of love doesn't make it less inflammatory.

It just gives the speaker a ready-made defense whenever someone objects: How could you possibly have a problem with compassion?

Reeve is entitled to advocate for her position, even if it defies reasonable common sense, rational logic and basic biology. But she doesn't get to dismiss all opponents as hateful bigots so she doesn't have to defend her position.

Congratulations on Coach of the Year, Cheryl. Just remember that you only won that award because women's sports exist.

Democratic Senate candidates Sherrod Brown and James Talarico reportedly headlined a star-studded New York City fundraiser hosted by celebrity jewelry designer Alexis Bittar, whose recent public comments describe the United States as a "s---hole" and characterized the American flag as "a symbol of aggression."

The fundraiser, held Monday evening in Manhattan, featured contribution levels ranging from $500 to $27,000 and also listed actor Robert De Niro among the high-powered hosts, according to an invitation cited by the Washington Free Beacon.

Bittar's recent record includes a July interview during which he discussed his concerns about the country's future, while promoting a documentary centered on "reclaim[ing]" the American flag.

During the interview, Bittar questioned what Americans were doing to create "the country we want to live in" before adding: "I have three kids, and they're little, and they're growing up in this s---hole. So if we don't do something now, we're f---ed."

The Free Beacon highlighted separate remarks Bittar made about the American flag while discussing the documentary, saying in an interview with Forbes in July 2025 that the American flag had become "a symbol of aggression" during President Donald Trump's political rise.

"Thinking about the new administration and what actions I can take to combat their policies. It seemed folks were in shock and experiencing malaise. But I homed in how the flag was co-opted by the right and how did the left let that happen?" he said in the interview. "It’s become such a symbol of aggression, the American flag, like ‘we're coming for you’ during Trump’s era."

Bittar has been active in progressive Democratic politics. Gothamist previously reported that he was among the donors who gave the maximum amount to support New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's transition and served on the mayor's Arts & Culture transition committee. He has also been unafraid of the "socialist" label, the Free Beacon reported.

"Hey people … it’s voting time!!! Bringing in all the Democrat Socialists!! Let’s change America…!" he said while urging people to go out and vote for various candidates in New York several weeks ago on Instagram.

Bittar also recently hosted a fundraiser for Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, while in an August Instagram video with the U.S. Senate candidate from Michigan. Bittar declared that "the traditional Democrats have one foot in the grave" and that "the revolution has begun."

One of Bittar's past marketing campaigns featured a fictional female serial killer. While speaking with V Magazine about the campaign in December 2025, Bittar said he had "always [been] intrigued by people who kill" and said the project was intended to "raise the bar" for marketing.

"I am always intrigued by people who kill, and I love to trace their own personal history and the trajectories that led them to become killers," Bittar said. "Meet Amanda Gates ... she is the most unlikely new fashion icon."

Lindsay Clancy's push to probe holdout juror hits snag before pivotal retrial hearing

PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A Massachusetts judge overseeing the Lindsay Clancy case is expected to hear arguments on her double jeopardy motion Tuesday, while another push to investigate the lone holdout juror in her mistrial may be on hold — for now.

Clancy is expected in court in person for the first time since her trial ended in a deadlocked jury and the judge declared a mistrial on Sept. 4.

In the weeks since her mistrial, Clancy's case has remained a topic of national interest, with fellow jurors and Clancy's defense attorney attacking the lone holdout. At the same time, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz's office has been relatively quiet about their plans for a potential retrial.

Clancy's defense lawyer Kevin Reddington had called for an inquiry into the lone holdout juror, Michael Desronvil, whom he has dubbed "the obstructionist juror." Desronvil opposed 11 others on the panel and was the only one who wanted to find her guilty until the end.

Michael Desronvil, who is said to be hiding out at an undisclosed location, spoke out publicly for the first time in a video exclusively shared with Fox News' "Hannity" Monday evening.

"I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels," he said. "The ones that can't speak for themselves, the ones that can't defend themselves, and the ones that can't fight the battles — and those are Cora, Dawson and Callan."

According to Desronvil's attorney, Edward Paltzik, both Reddington and Plymouth County prosecutors agreed to adjourn that motion after counsel for the holdout raised an objection because they didn't yet have access to impounded materials necessary to file a response.

"The DA and Reddington consent to adjourn the motion to investigate Michael," Paltzik told Fox News' Kayleigh McEnany Monday.

ATTORNEY FOR LONE HOLDOUT JUROR IN LINDSAY CLANCY MISTRIAL PUSHES BACK ON CLAIMS OF REFUSING THE LAW

"If Judge Sullivan signs an order today, much of it could be adjourned," he said. "Either way, a status conference is still likely."

Reddington pushed back, forcefully, while conceding that he and the district attorney's office had agreed to continue the motion out of professional courtesy to local counsel now representing the juror.

"Earlier today, both the government and I were contacted by a professional local attorney who represents Juror Doe," he said, not using the juror's name due to an impoundment order from the court. He added, "As is professional courtesy, both the government and I agreed to continue this specific motion to a later date at their request. The motion remains active, fully alive, and is currently pending a ruling from Judge Sullivan. We will not allow a publicity-seeking opportunist to twist simple courtroom courtesy into a victory that does not exist."

The terms adjourned and continued are similar but have distinct meanings.

"Adjournment generally signifies that something like a hearing is off indefinitely especially because no date is specified," explained retired Massachusetts Judge Carol Erskine. "A continuance is a simple request by a party or two parties to get a new date. [Reddington] objects because adjournment is a misrepresentation of what is happening."

If Reddington ultimately prevails, the court could hold a Fidler hearing, where the judge would question Desronvil.

"There are three phases to a hearing like that," said Erskine, who is also a child welfare advocate and has been closely following the case. "This is something that could result in a strong manifest necessity claim but hard to tell until it happens."

LINDSAY CLANCY'S ATTORNEY ASKS JUDGE TO ACQUIT HER OUTRIGHT, ENDING CASE AND BARRING A RETRIAL

Manifest necessity is the legal standard required to hold a second trial. Erskine said the motion is a long-shot but Reddington is likely laying the foundation for an appeal in the future.

"The big issue, in my opinion, is whether outside information came into the jury room and whether a judge can find that any 'hypothetical juror' would let it influence his decision," she told Fox News Digital. "It’s definitely more complicated than that, but there is case law about it."

Could the holdout sue Reddington?

"This is a strange new world in which disagreeing jurors and their surrogates conduct a public debate after the trial in the media and social media," said Jack Lu, another retired Massachusetts judge.

Reddington's request for an inquiry into Desronvil is largely based on allegations from other jurors who accused him of having reasonable doubt about the case and ignoring it. He is seeking phone records, his confidential juror questionnaire and police records.

However, he's also called him an "obstructionist" outside the courtroom and accused him of having an "agenda."

"[The other jurors] know that they were robbed — by one man — for whatever his agenda was, who stole seven weeks of the life of these other jurors that were so attentive, so beautiful, so wonderful and listened to this evidence," he told reporters after leaving the courthouse on Sept. 4, the day the mistrial was declared.

Still, he downplayed speculation from legal analysts about a potential defamation lawsuit from the holdout against Clancy's team.

"Defamation law is textbook complex," he told Fox News Digital. "Statements made in court proceedings are privileged."

Statements made out of court that could appear to be "false statements of fact" may end up being considered opinions, he added.

"I don’t think any of the legal maneuvering, double jeopardy, all that stuff, a hearing in the trial court with the juror, I don't think it’s going anywhere," said Mark Bederow, a New York-based criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor who is following the case.

"If you get down to brass tacks, once you get through all this, now you have to look at the DA and say, what are you doing?" he added.

Most prosecutors would not seek a second trial in a case where only one juror agreed with them, he said, but that appears unlikely in this case.

"At the first trial, the prosecution, in my view, failed miserably to satisfy their burden — but there is a credible argument that she's guilty and intended to cause their deaths and knew right from wrong," he said. "In order for them to win, they need to get better experts."

Unchecked mass migration, particularly in Western nations where millions have settled after leaving third-world countries, tends to erode national sovereignty, one expert said — an issue President Donald Trump highlighted during his speech last week in front of other world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.

As migrants continue to reach Western shores, those countries are grappling with stretched resources and tensions between newly arrived immigrants, some here illegally, and the native population, many of whom feel their best interests and cultural identity are being overlooked by government bureaucrats.

The pushback stands in contrast to the vision of "global citizenship" advocated by entities like the World Economic Forum and U.N. initiatives, set against the rise of nationalist opposition led by figures like Trump.

Much of the push for illegal migration comes from non-governmental groups and other grant-making networks, Lora Ries, director of the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital.

"It's no coincidence that we've seen the same tactics in a handful of countries at the same time, whether that's to the U.K., to France, to Germany, other parts of Western Europe, or to the U.S., particularly during Biden's four years," said Ries. "And what that does is it erodes the sovereignty of the nation-state. So no longer do people in a nation get to decide who's coming, how many, for what reason, and for how long, and whether people are complying with our laws."

Groups like the U.N., World Economic Forum and International Organization for Migration (IOM) all advocate for managed, regular and lawful migration while treating mobility as a natural economic and demographic reality.

However, European countries are being stretched thin as migrants continue to change the demographic and cultural landscape within their borders, critics of mass migration say. Ries cited the lack of assimilation among some migrants, the formation of ethnic enclaves, language shifts, and hesitation by law enforcement and elected officials to address the matter driven by political correctness.

"And now we've got Western countries like the U.K. and France really teetering on, are they still the same countries?" said Ries. "The U.S. is on the same path — we're just further behind. And so now … we have to ask ourselves, ‘Do we want to continue down the same path that the U.K. has been on? Or do we want to get off this path?’"

During Trump's speech last week at the United Nations General Assembly, he reiterated his administration's hardline position on defending American borders while criticizing the U.N.

"It is deeply ironic that the United Nations has an entire institution, the UNESCO group of people and countries, devoted to protecting cultural heritage — yet, with their ceaseless promotion of mass migration, these globalists are actively destroying the greatest cultures and most extraordinary heritage in history," he said. "There is no human right to illegal immigration, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation."

The IOM, an arm of the U.N., states that it's committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. Ries cited the U.N. 2030 agenda, the universal action plan adopted in 2015 by its member states to combat poverty and fight climate change.

At the heart of the plan are 17 sustainable development goals.

"They view mass migration as a way to achieve some … all of those 17 goals of sustainable development. But it's certainly not sustainable for the nation-states that are being overrun," Ries said.

One aspect of the mass migration crisis is the asylum process, which critics say is ripe for abuse, allowing people into countries despite not having a valid claim and rendering asylum and refugee protection meaningless.

"We need to get back to the original objective grounds for persecution, which is it has to be a government actor persecuting you on account of your race, your religion, your nationality or political opinion," Ries said. "And really get the meaning of persecution back into a box, because right now it is so watered down."

"Good for President Trump for calling this out on this world stage," she added. "We need other leaders to do the same. It takes a lot of political courage, a lot of political will, and the ability to say no to this global funding and these major donors that are involved in this racket."

Ordering a lobster roll "Connecticut-style" in Maine might garner a dirty look — or worse, a side of mayonnaise instead of butter.

A recent debate has heated up in Maine over how a proper lobster roll should be served: warm, with butter, or cold, with mayo.

Maine-style lobster rolls traditionally consist of cold lobster meat, either tossed in mayo or served with mayo on the side.

A Connecticut-style roll typically includes warm lobster meat, poached in butter or served with warm butter on the side.

Despite the discourse over which style of lobster roll reigns supreme, Peter Bissell, co-owner of Highroller Lobster Co. in Portland, Maine, believes there's room for both.

"We just want to make people happy with fresh, never frozen, Maine lobster meat, and our specialty mayos was sort of our differentiating factor," he told Fox News Digital. "But we're not dying on any of these hills. It's really good either way."

Highroller Lobster Co. is known for its specialty mayos, which come in flavors like roasted red pepper, fresh lime and roasted garlic. Instead of tossing the meat in mayo, the restaurant drizzles the mayo on top of the lobster roll in a zigzag pattern.

Those who opt for Maine-style lobster rolls tend to appreciate the tangy mayo combined with "the cool, refreshing interior of the sandwich [and] the crisp, warmed bread on the outside," Bissell mentioned.

For guests who prefer butter, it's available at Highroller and always has been, Bissell said. It has offered warm butter on cold meat from day one, but warm lobster meat with butter is a relatively recent menu addition.

"We added Connecticut-style," Bissell said. "It's a $1 upcharge because the cooks, they poach it in butter for 45 seconds to one minute on the line, so now customers can order fully warmed meat with butter if they choose."

Of all the lobster rolls sold this past summer, about 50% were ordered with mayo and 50% were ordered with butter. Of the 50% with butter, 25% were Connecticut-style, according to Bissell.

Connecticut-based chef and restaurant owner Robert Marcarelli's approach to lobster rolls is not quite as flexible as Bissell's. His restaurants only sell Connecticut-style lobster, warmed with butter.

"Connecticut is very die-hard butter, no mayo. As you head a little bit north, mayo starts coming into the picture," Marcarelli told Fox News Digital.

LSU confirmed the interim suspensions to Fox News Digital.

On Sept. 3, an urgent complaint was made by someone who told his roommate, "They [DKE] had me doing wall sits and were actively waterboarding me in the process," WAFB reported.

Could Trump revoke Ilhan Omar's citizenship for alleged brother marriage? Ex federal prosecutor breaks it down

The Trump administration's recent effort to bring the law down on Rep. Ilhan Omar could go as far as seeking to strip the Minnesota congresswoman of her citizenship for alleged immigration fraud. But a criminal investigation is unlikely to yield the results the president wants, according to a former federal prosecutor.

Michael Wildes, an immigration attorney, told Fox News Digital that investigators face a "very high bar" to build a case against Omar after White House border czar Tom Homan confirmed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is conducting a "criminal" investigation against the progressive "Squad" member.

It all stems from claims that Omar married her brother to gain U.S. citizenship, which she has repeatedly denied.

President Donald Trump has a longstanding feud with Omar going back to when she was first elected in the middle of his first term, and quickly became one of his most vocal critics in Congress. Trump has repeatedly called for Omar to be sent back to Somalia because of her alleged fraudulent activity.

The Trump administration continues to ramp up efforts to denaturalize and deport individuals accused of immigration fraud. And Vice President JD Vance claimed earlier this year that the Department of Justice is investigating Omar for alleged fraud and immigration violations.

But questions remain over what a potential prosecution and denaturalization case against the Somali-born lawmaker would require.

Wildes said that investigators would need to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Omar knowingly entered her marriage — to a man critics allege is her brother — for the sole purpose of evading U.S. immigration laws.

"In order to establish a successful marriage fraud case, the government would have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt… that the defendant knowingly entered into a marriage with the primary purpose to evade immigration laws and get a benefit," Wildes said.

Wildes noted that even if Omar and her husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, decided after getting married that their partnership could be a scheme for Elmi to fast pass America’s immigration process, this would not be considered marriage fraud in court.

He continued, "Those are very high bars and thresholds that they would have to surmount. The immigration benefit cannot be a byproduct or secondary consideration. This is not deemed to be illegal."

If evidence was presented to prove Omar and Elmi committed marriage fraud, the Minnesota Democrat could face up to five years in jail, a maximum fine of $250,000, or both.

Wildes also pointed out that there are statutes of limitations that could hinder a potential prosecution and make it more difficult to prosecute Omar for marriage fraud, as that marriage was in 2009. But there is still a pathway for Omar to be denaturalized, which Homan described as a "very serious process" while discussing the investigation into the congresswoman.

"The question is: Do they have it factually, and is it the right thing to do?" Wildes said.

"The question is whether or not inadvertences were made not purposefully and whether or not it's over the top to then denaturalize somebody," he said. "We're talking about taking away a benefit and then banishing them from the United States."

For Omar to be denaturalized, the process would have to be related to allegations that she falsified information when obtaining her own citizenship in 2000. Omar claims she was granted automatic citizenship because she was a minor when her father was naturalized.

Congressional records state Omar became a citizen at age 17, but speculation that she was older at the time of her naturalization began after former Minnesota congressional candidate AJ Kern accused Omar’s birth year of being revised on the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library website.

This caused allegations to circulate on social media that she was not a minor at the time, which, if ever proven true, could lead to her denaturalization. Even if her father lied in his citizenship paperwork, this could also potentially lead to Omar being stripped of her citizenship.

Wildes also explained that the government makes a "case-by-case" decision when it comes to pursuing denaturalization cases. He also pointed out the relevancy of an intentional lie as opposed to a mistake.

"If the government were to prosecute for document fraud, we would also want to know whether or not she was represented by counsel, and if there were simple mistakes on her application or inadvertences that may be deemed to be fraudulent," Wildes said.

"Whether or not [these] things are truthful, hypothesized, or can be backed up in fact, will play heavily in that prosecution."

Homan didn't answer whether the federal government has evidence that Omar committed either marriage or immigration fraud, while also declining to go into detail about what particularly DHS is investigating Omar for.

Omar told Fox News Digital just last week that she has not been contacted by DHS or made aware of any ongoing investigation into her marriage or immigration status, saying she isn’t worried about it because "the right wing always had this s--- going."

But Wildes said her being unaware that she is being investigated is not unusual and doesn’t invalidate Homan’s confirmation of a "criminal" investigation against her.

"The congresswoman's not being aware doesn't change anything," Wildes said. "There is no obligation for the government to show their hand, and they're going to want to make sure that they have a good prosecution, and they don't give anything up in the interim because of the politics that this presents as well."

"I haven't seen anything that I think is worthy of a prosecution," Wildes said. "This is a member of Congress. It may not be your politics, but we have to also make sure that we engage in prosecutions properly and not frivolously."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been back in the U.K. for a month, and senior members of the royal family still don't know what their agenda is.

On Sept. 16, People reported that a palace source said, "The royal family still don’t know what their motives are," just weeks after Harry and Markle officially moved overseas.

Royal commentators told Fox News Digital they are divided over Harry and Meghan’s return to the U.K., with some accusing the palace of undermining the couple while others said the intervention was necessary to reaffirm that they remain private citizens and will not resume a "half-in, half-out" royal role.

A little over a week after Harry and Markle made their plans to relocate back to the U.K. public, King Charles issued a letter via the Lord Chamberlain, Lord Benyon, stating that they would be classified as non-working royals.

Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital that the palace is undermining Harry and Meghan’s return while preventing them from creating royal-style events.

"Harry and Meghan simply want to be left in peace, allowing themselves privacy to protect their children and to cover some charity activities. The palace, I feel, are being driven by officials and maybe William to constantly undermine this return. Officially, they are making sure Harry and Meghan are not seen to be creating royal-style events," he said.

According to Turner, the letter on behalf of the king was unnecessary.

Hilary Fordwich, British royal expert, told Fox News Digital that the letter on behalf of the king was just clarification on what they already agreed upon when Harry and Markle stepped away as senior royals in 2020.

"Harry and Meghan claim to want a private family life in Britain with access to Harry’s roots, while they repeatedly invade their own privacy. They are retaining their independent charitable and commercial careers while also posturing themselves as working royals, which is directly thwarting the Sandringham agreement to refrain from monetizing their titles. The palace’s public intervention demonstrates the concerns surrounding their posturing with official royal type activities."

"The public clarification from King Charles III was another line in the sand, restating what was already agreed regarding the Sussexes' departure for the U.S. in 2020," Fordwich said.

"The Lord Chamberlain’s letter not only stated that the Sussexes were actually not undertaking royal engagements, it reiterated no change in their status, clarified that they are no longer working royals and that their HRH styles remain in abeyance,' Fordwich noted.

Fordwich added, "The unusually explicit institutional language clearly indicated the degree of royal frustration regarding the Sussexes. It certainly didn’t state anything regarding the couple leaving Britain. It was more of an attempt to mitigate the ambiguity and blurred roles the couple keep creating, which is reputationally damaging to the royal brand, particularly due to the commercial aspects, as monetizing the monarchy is so distasteful."

Richard Fitzwilliams, royal commentator, touched on the "half-in, half-out" royal role that Harry and Markle allegedly want now that they're back in the U.K.

"My feeling is that Harry and Meghan will not get the opportunity to become a half-in, half-out, which is what basically they've wanted, not officially," Fitzwilliams began.

He continued, "They won't be working members of the royal family. Harry is, of course, fifth in line [to] the throne still. And there's no question that I think they would like the option. After all, they have come to the United Kingdom in August without any warning by three days to the king. That is absolutely extraordinary. We still don't know the main reason they are here, and their children have been taken to another school."

Fordwich also discussed the "half-in, half-out" mentality.

"This certainly further strains H’s relationship with Prince William since he is deliberately disregarding the explicit wishes of their much-loved grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, who was adamant there could be no ‘half-in-half-out’ scenario," she said.

Fordwich continued, "Most wisely, Prince William is remaining dedicated to duty and his disciplined approach to the monarchy centered on the king, the Wales family and a limited number of working royals is appreciated by the public, as reflected in YouGov polling. His continuing to avoid all the Sussex 'drama,' will no doubt serve him most well."

Earlier this month, a source close to Harry and Markle told People magazine that they are "public figures."

"Members of the public know who they are. The idea that they can live a normal, ‘private’ life is sadly not realistic," the source said at the time, while also raising concerns over their security.

Fitzwilliams touched on the security issue with Fox News Digital and weighed different scenarios where it would be difficult to grant Harry and Markle "VIP automatic security."

"But what would it mean if the security, for example, which is being looked at again, as Harry has requested, if they get VIP automatic security, and it certainly seems likely there's going to be some compromise. I think people don't want it. It's a question of the nature of the threat. And if they did get it, then the feeling is perhaps they should do a certain amount to justify it," he said.

"Could they hope to get through to do royal duties or some royal duties of some sort in that way? Harry, after all, is thoroughly likable, and they regard themselves as public figures, and they would've liked an opportunity to clarify what was in the letter that the king said round," Fitzwilliams continued. "We know Prince William is adamantly opposed to them doing anything, and indeed there's a deep, deep rift there. He believes he's been betrayed. And when you look at the situation since Megxit, you can see why they're mistrusted. But there's questions to whether or not in some form they will be performing some type of royal activity somewhere, probably Britain, even despite opinion polls, which are low. "I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels," Michael Desronvil, who is said to be hiding out at an undisclosed location, said in a video statement airing exclusively on Fox News' "Hannity" Monday evening. "The ones that can't speak for themselves, the ones that can't defend themselves, and the ones that can't fight the battles — and those are Cora, Dawson and Callan."

In a series of interviews after the mistrial on Sept. 4, Desronvil was accused of wanting to find Clancy guilty despite harboring his own reasonable doubts about the prosecution’s case. He has denied those claims.

FIRST ON FOX: Officers with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized a shipment of 450 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $6 million at a port along the U.S. northern border with Canada last Tuesday, the agency revealed to Fox News Digital.

After CBP conducted a routine inspection on a northbound commercial tractor-trailer driven by a 21-year-old Canadian man, a physical inspection revealed modifications to the floor, leading to a K-9 inspection. Agents soon uncovered 174 vacuum-sealed packages carrying cocaine.

"This significant seizure highlights the exceptional vigilance, advanced training and relentless dedication of our CBP officers and canine teams at the Lewiston Bridge border crossing," Sharon Swiatek, acting port director for the Area Port of Buffalo, said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The seizure follows other recent cases involving drugs concealed in commercial trucks caught by CBP in recent months, demonstrating the continued challenge federal agencies face in stopping the flow of narcotics across both the U.S. southern and northern borders despite greatly reduced illegal crossings.

Since President Donald Trump returned to office at the outset of 2025, border crossings have plummeted at the southern border — an issue that captured much public attention in the 2024 presidential election. Since October 2024, illegal border crossings have dropped from over 240,000 to just 12,200 this past August, a reduction of over 94%.

The drop also extends to the northern border. There, encounters have plummeted from over 17,000 to under 6,100, a 64% decrease.

Even so, CBP has continued to battle the smuggling of drugs, weapons and human trafficking rings into — and out of — the U.S.

While the majority of CBP’s work focuses on securing the American border, a number of its busts have centered on preventing dangerous shipments from entering neighboring countries as well. According to Swiatek, the CBP acting port director, it’s a mission that carries the same gravity as its southern counterpart.

"While a large focus of our border security mission is on inbound threats, our officers remain equally sharp during outbound operations to dismantle transborder criminal networks, disrupt the flow of dangerous narcotics and protect communities on both sides of the border," Swiatek said.

In April, for example, CBP announced it had prevented a car carrying a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, 16 AK rifles, 24 rifle magazines, 16 rifle stocks, 20 pistol grips and other weapon parts from crossing the border into Mexico.

"CBP prevented these dangerous weapons from wreaking havoc on the good people of Mexico," Acting Deputy Commissioner Ron Vitiello said at the time.

New audit in Walz's backyard exposes massive fraud risk tied to post-George Floyd activism

As Minnesota’s massive fraud problems continue to gain nationwide attention, an audit is now sounding the alarm about potential fraud in a new area in the state related to contracts doled out by the city of Minneapolis in response to the death of George Floyd.

More than 100 contracts were handed out to community groups as alternatives to policing in 2020 and the lax oversight of those contracts, according to a Minnesota Star Tribune report, was found by an audit to be susceptible to fraud and favoritism.

The new Neighborhood Safety Contract Management Audit Report, which reviews spending from 2020-2025, shows the city is "not providing sufficient contract oversight or managing contracts effectively" in order to properly manage the more than $36 million that has been spent since 2023 on five major violence-prevention programs.

The report warns that Minneapolis’ weak contract controls created a heightened risk of fraud and improper payments. Auditors found contractors often submitted invoices with limited supporting documentation, while the city sometimes continued making payments despite missing records or unresolved concerns. The department is also said to have lacked a standardized process for conducting and documenting site visits to verify that contracted services were actually being performed.

Additionally, auditors found the city still needs to improve invoice reviews, preserve contract records, document contractor communications and establish clearer procedures for escalating concerns.

"Based on my past reporting on this and other city grant programs, any diligent audit of any city-administered grant programs would produce similar results," Center of the American Experiment policy fellow Bill Glahn told Fox News Digital, pointing to his 2023 reporting on the matter.

Glahn’s reporting raised questions about whether Minneapolis’ violence-interrupter program was producing measurable results. In a 2023 analysis, Glahn noted that the city had committed up to $7.5 million to the initiative for 2022–23, with another $13 million included in its budget for 2024–28, while the city had not published substantive evidence demonstrating that the program was reducing violent crime.

Glahn also examined the backgrounds and finances of participating organizations, finding that several had annual revenues or staffing levels far below the size of the grants they received. One participant, We Push for Peace, had staffers involved in violent incidents outside St. Paul grocery stores in 2021, including one violence interrupter captured on video beating a homeless man.

"The city seems primarily interested in shoveling money out the door to ‘address’ urgent problems," Glahn added. "Little if any care is given to ensuring that the grant recipients are capable of or have a track record of doing the work, are actually doing the work contracted for, or whether that work is resulting in net benefit for city residents and taxpayers."

The state has faced heavy criticism in recent years for not conducting enough onsite visits to combat fraud in the Feeding Our Future program along with fraudulent Medicaid programs.

"If they would have just gone to the facilities, you know, you hear of the thousands of people being served out of an apartment twice a day, all they would have to do is show up and look at it," Minnesota Republican state Sen. Mark Koran told Fox News Digital in December as the fraud scandal was unfolding.

"There was a legislative auditor report that showed that 30 property owners where these businesses claim to operate out of, contacted the Department of Education who manage it, who managed that program, and they told them one, the businesses don't exist in their facilities, so they don't exist, period, and one of them I think was a city park," Koran said.

Glahn told Fox News Digital that site visits are "generally helpful" but he suspects that "even a cursory, front-end review of tax records and financial statements would have disqualified many of these vendors from the get-go."

"We have not slowed down, there is no sense in which the fraud has been stopped in Minnesota," Glahn told Fox News Digital last month.

The audit did not identify a specific instance of fraud, but it warned that Minneapolis’ weak oversight controls created a heightened risk of fraud and improper payments, and many social media users weren't willing to give the state the benefit of the doubt.

"Call it what it is," retired Navy intelligence officer Phillip C. Parrish posted on X. "This isn’t a tracking glitch. It’s the same business model that looted child-nutrition money, Medicaid housing, autism therapy, and daycare: stand up a moral emergency, pour cash through politically connected nonprofits, skip site visits and receipts, then scream 'livelihoods' when anyone asks where the money went."

Our work is meaningful, and every day we’re working to make our City safer through innovative safety services, like violence prevention and human trafficking prevention, among others. We’ve taken several steps since the audit report to improve our processes and contract oversight. We are in the business of helping people and improving lives – and that means improving how we do it. It’s that simple."

Let me get this straight: Because President Trump launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran for the purpose of denying the mullahs access to a nuclear weapon — a red line that every U.S. politician has embraced in the past — and because Americans are paying more for gasoline and diesel than they were a year ago, voters are now set to elect anti-U.S., anti-Israel candidates who want to destroy the economic system and institutions that have made the United States the strongest, most prosperous nation on earth.

Did I get that wrong? Has Americans’ hatred of Donald Trump made them simple? Do they really think that Democrats like Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for a vacant Senate seat in Michigan, loves our country and aligns with our values? The candidate who, when pressed, would not explicitly condemn Iran’s Revolutionary Guard — the thugs who killed tens of thousands of their own countrymen and have orchestrated the murders of thousands of Americans through their villainous terror proxies? El-Sayed, who spouted the wonders of Medicare for All and promised to eliminate private insurance until it threatened to derail his campaign, flip-flopping on a central plank in his platform? El-Sayed, who calls Hasan Piker, the anti-American Israel-hater who said "Americans deserved 9/11" a friend? Come on, folks, that’s not who we are.

MORNING GLORY: ROGERS VERSUS EL-SAYED IS A REFERENDUM ON THE FUTURE OF AMERICA

Here are three reasons why voters must come to their senses before they commit a grievous error in the midterms:

1. Democrats promise "affordability," but always deliver higher prices. Always.

No. Democrats favor high taxes and cumbersome regulations; both drive costs higher as businesses pass those charges along to their customers.

California imposes a 74 cent per gallon tax on gasoline — the country’s highest. New York’s horrendously complex building regulations mean it takes longer to build in New York than any other place on earth (literally), which drives housing costs higher. Governor Kathy Hochul slapped a recurring $22 Congestion Pricing fee on big trucks delivering groceries or other goods to New York City stores — who do you think pays for that?

Democrats like to spend, and they like to tax. Joe Biden increased the federal government workforce to a record high of around 3 million (excluding Census years); Donald Trump has shrunk that body to 2.67 million. Trump thinks it’s more important to grow manufacturing jobs than the federal bureaucracy. That’s what’s happening now.

Because President Trump’s team has rolled back regulations and cut taxes, business is booming. The economy is growing at better than 5%, according to the Atlanta Fed, with investment soaring, especially in AI-related businesses. Americans have been led (in part by Chinese propaganda) to fear AI, but as this dazzling new technology delivers new cures for cancer, improvements in our failing education system (which Democrat-supporting teachers unions will oppose) and boosts business productivity, the country will prosper. Yes, the government should work with the AI companies to ensure our safety. No, Congress should not be given any role in the oversight. Trump has this right.

Child poverty in the U.S. dropped to an all-time low last year, while real median household income was the highest on record. Household net worth is up 17% since Donald Trump took office in January 2025 and the stock market is hovering near all-time highs, benefiting the 62% of Americans who own stocks directly or indirectly. All these wins could evaporate if Democrats take power.

Third, a Democratic Congress will loosen recent changes to Medicaid eligibility; our welfare ranks and spending will start to grow again. Fifth, they will fight any extension of Trump’s tax cuts, increasing uncertainty and dampening business investment.

"Iran’s regime has lost control of the Strait of Hormuz," Swiss energy analyst and investor Alexander Stahel declared in his Monday morning investment letter "The Commodity Compass."

Stahel followed up his assertion with a 1,200-word description (excluding maps and charts) of how the operation that he describes as "the Hormuz shuttle" got stood up and is now running massive quantities of oil out of the Arabian/Persian Gulf to an oil-thirsty world.

WHO CONTROLS THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ RIGHT NOW? HERE'S WHAT THE SHIP TRAFFIC ACTUALLY SHOWS

First, the United Arab Emirates and then its neighbors developed an enormous system to shuttle oil out of the Gulf via a new shipping channel which hugs the Omani coast and which is patrolled and protected by the United States military. Central Command isn’t replicating the destroyer-heavy escort system of decades past when Iran threatened the Strait, but its new tactics are effective and the September decline in the price of oil demonstrated that, as October’s anticipated decline will as well.

INSIDE THE DANGEROUS US MISSION THAT CLEARED IRAN’S MINES FROM HORMUZ SHIPPING LANES

Stahel writes: "The key development over the past month was the UAE's refusal to become hostage to Iran's regime. Instead, it established what I describe as the ‘Hormuz Shuttle’."

It started early. Already back in May, it placed eleven hulls — mostly VLCCs [very large crude carriers], owned, leased & operated by ADNOC [Abu Dhabi National Oil Company] — to get the risky job done of shuttling crude out of the Persian trap via the Oman Lane into the Gulf of Oman, unloading it via Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer and then re-entering the Persian trap to repeat the trade."

The detailed assessment focuses on the key exporters: "ADNOC has become very good at the Hormuz Shuttle, Aramco [Saudi Arabia’s state-owned energy giant] and Kuwait have learned from the UAE and copied the model. By now, we have some 116 hulls active in the Shuttle trade around the Strait of Hormuz, most of them using the Oman Lane." The assessment is that Qatar and Iraq are also now using the "Hormuz Shuttle."

WHITE HOUSE SILENT ON IRAN-OMAN HORMUZ PLAN TEHRAN SAYS WOULD BAN US WARSHIPS

"Iran has failed to shut the Strait," Stahel concludes, "the shuttle system is scaling, and time is increasingly working against Tehran."

At this writing, West Texas crude — critical to the American market — is at $94.50 a barrel and Brent just under $107.00 as the world’s commodity traders worry that President Trump rejected the Iranian overtures to reopen talks.

That bump-up in prices will fade as Iran proves incapable of stopping or even scaring any of the participants in the "Hormuz shuttle." The price will continue to fall as more and more traders and buyers realize that Iran is out of cards. President Trump has joined Prime Minister Netanyahu in a posture made famous by Clint Eastwood: "Go ahead. Make my day." Every attempt to bully Trump has brought exponential response from the American military. Iran hasn’t tried that in weeks. It’s flat out afraid of Israel, as they know Bibi would love to be provoked right now.

Every country that depends on the Strait of Hormuz has its oil export-driven cash flow up and running at around 80–90% of the January rate. Except Iran, of course. The IRGC has spent six months flailing itself into a corner from which there is no escape without President Donald Trump’s OK.

TRUMP’S IRAN DEAL REACHES MAKE-OR-BREAK DEADLINE AS 60-DAY NEGOTIATING CLOCK EXPIRES

President Trump is unlikely to give away his hard-won leverage over the killers in Tehran absent genuine concessions on their part of the sort that signifies the rump regime really has thrown in the towel on its nuclear ambitions and missile program. The first meaningful step would have to be opening all the devastated nuclear program sites to inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency as well as the caverns and tunnel at Pickaxe Mountain.

More important than verifying for those afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome that Iran’s nuclear ambitions have indeed been obliterated, is the lifting from the world not just of the premium imposed on the cost of energy by the battle with Iran that began in February but the lifting of the "mullah tax" that has burdened the world’s economy since 1979.

Markets price every factor and possible factor into the cost of every good. The world has been paying a "mullah tax" since the Shah of Iran went into exile and Ayatollah Khomeini returned from his. Once the nature of the regime was fully revealed to the world, the risk of what an irrational group of religious fanatics would do with Iran’s incredible wealth of natural resources and an educated population has weighed on the world’s economy.

Israel paid the highest price, of course, as it was obliged to prepare for battle on many fronts, all of those threats financed by the fanatics in Tehran. The awful massacre of 10/7/2023 was the doing of Iran just as the assault by Hezbollah on the Jewish State was the doing of Iran. The Israelis have long known they were paying for Iran’s religious fanaticism, but the rest of the world played the role of the frog being boiled to death slowly. Had Iran achieved a nuclear breakout, the cost of the "Iran tax" would have skyrocketed as the region’s blackmailer became even more bold in its demands.

President Trump and the American military, assisted by the Israelis and now by our Gulf allies, had enough of the low-grade blackmail that had stretched over decades and the ever-increasing threat of much worse. Operations Epic Fury and Roaring Lion pummeled the Islamic Republic in the spring. The third string rulers — the most talented of the Iranian leadership, were eliminated in the opening strike of the war — could have accepted the loss of one part of the regime’s strength and abandoned its nuclear ambitions, but instead the retirees from the revolution’s glory days who were called off the bench to helm the crippled regime doubled and tripled down on fighting the world’s greatest military as well as Israel’s and some of the Gulf’s forces — and lost.

Now the American naval blockade has combined with the American shield over and around the "Hormuz Shuttle" to bring Iran to the United Nations General Assembly to beg for negotiations on its sideline and on American cable news. President Trump wisely rejected the desperate appeals, noting only that Iran had "overplayed its hand."

At the same time as the "Hormuz Shuttle" scaled and brought relief to the world’s oil markets, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent took the lead in part two of President Trump’s drive to collapse the ability of the Islamic Republic to threaten anyone in the region. American sanctions went from a "6" to an "8." The impoverished and devastated economy of Iran is being smothered before our eyes.

The junta running Iran, drawn from the not-so-talented retirees of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and maybe half a Supreme Leader, counted on domestic pressure on President Trump as a result of the imminent midterm elections to force him to the table. The president agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding on June 14, and signed it three days later as a test of Iran’s new leadership. They flunked the test and resumed attacks on shipping in the Strait. President Trump has stayed the course and refused to blink even as polls show a growing Democratic advantage in November.

She foments racial strife, as when she said of the investigation into the death of a Black teenager, Nolan Wells, who died after a boat trip near Mississippi's Horn Island, that "We know the investigation and everything that followed would have been different if Nolan Wells were White and his friends were Black. Nolan and his family deserve justice." There is no evidence that the police racialized the investigation whatsoever.

In August, when a Black man was found hanging from a tree in Raleigh, Ms. Rachel said, "Please listen to the Black community. Black people don’t hang themselves from trees." The man had a history of mental health issues, and his death has been ruled a suicide.

She also commented on the death of British professor Jason Arday, saying, "Also, what the press did to Dr. Jason Arday. My heart is with the Black community. Please be an ally. You don’t have to be perfect. But you need to listen, uplift, speak out and show up." Arday was found to have plagiarized parts of his work at Cambridge University, and the press simply reported on the allegations, as it would have for any prominent professor facing a similar scandal.

A few days ago, Bill Ackman, the hedge fund manager who founded Pershing Square Capital Management, posted on X wondering why a Palestinian flag was present at a protest against artificial intelligence outside of Google’s offices. The answer, of course, is that there is a leftist "omnicause," and the Palestinian flag has long been one symbol of it. The top issues change. It could be climate change or opposing ICE. It might be forcing the normalization of transgenderism on children. Or it could be the vague cause of the Palestinians, as has been the case over the last several years. But the real truth is that all of these causes always point to one thing: the demonizing of America and the fight to destroy it. The cause is never the cause; the cause is always revolution.

It’s true that Ms. Rachel generally doesn’t make her actual program, "Songs for Littles," overtly political. Yet. But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t already inched toward it.

She has introduced a non-binary character on her show, shown a Palestinian child with blown-off legs and featured a Palestinian so-called "journalist," Motaz Azaiza, who has admitted to filming Palestinian crowds beating Israeli hostages after the Oct. 7 attacks and to purposely withholding the footage. She’s also invited trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, best known for caricaturing women, to appear on her program.

Her comments on Gaza have sometimes slid from merely "pro-Palestinian" to plainly antisemitic. She apologized after an outcry that she had "liked" a comment on her page that read "Free America from the Jews." She had also entertained the possibility that Jews were leaving antisemitic comments themselves.

Last March, Ms. Rachel said, "I am political," when she described her opposition to ICE enforcing immigration laws and deporting people who are in the country illegally.

Parents should believe her and remove her from their child’s orbit.

The AI revolution will go wherever there's electricity — and China knows it

Despite the recent surge in AI doomerism, President Donald Trump is right to maintain his strong support for data centers. As he notes: "China couldn’t be happier" if we were to turn our backs on these centers as a nation, which would effectively let the Chinese Communist Party win the AI race.

As Energy Secretary Chris Wright said in July, "The country that leads in artificial intelligence in the coming years and decades ahead will be the global superpower." Victory means capturing trillions of dollars in national wealth, securing an advantage in military technology and gaining enormous leverage in international affairs.

An energy bottleneck could pose a serious risk to America’s AI lead. We need data centers to train and run top-tier AI models, and those centers need a lot of electricity. In 2024, they accounted for over 4% of electricity use, and their consumption is expected to more than double by 2030.

CHINA IS BUILDING AN AI WAR MACHINE. WASHINGTON MUST WAKE UP BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

Ensuring there is sufficient supply and generation to meet the soaring demand is imperative to staying in the lead.

Solar should be a key part of that equation. New data centers need energy right now. New gas turbines and other large power projects can take years to bring online. Solar and battery projects can generally be deployed much faster, making them especially useful for meeting the near-term surge in electricity demand.

Solar power has been closely associated with the environmental left, because for decades, Democrats largely sold solar as a climate policy, often with no concern for cost, for whether the panels themselves were made in America or whether deployment strengthened a supply chain dominated by China.

However, the strategic equation has changed. Under the Trump Administration, the case for solar isn’t about "going green." It’s about reindustrialization, energy security, technological leadership and the national interest.

The Trump Administration recognizes the value that producing more domestic batteries brings to our energy security. That’s why the Energy Department recently backed 220 megawatts of new battery storage in Puerto Rico, which is enough to provide backup electricity for more than 100,000 customers during power shortages. This project will use American-made battery technology — strengthening the grid and our domestic energy supply chain at the same time.

Thanks in large part to the work of the Trump administration, a very different picture of solar has emerged from the one encountered a decade ago. By creating the conditions for investment in Made in America panels and components, Washington is turning what was once a China-dependent industry into another source of American energy security and industrial strength. In fact, private industry has poured $18.2 billion into building a domestic solar supply chain since 2022, and cell production was recently reshored for the first time in five years.

Battery storage in the U.S. just topped 52 gigawatts of capacity, and it's been growing about 70% a year for three years straight. Thanks to these batteries, the American people now have significant access to this power not just when the sun is out at midday, but also in the evenings when America’s workers return home and turn on their lights and air conditioning.

President Trump’s agenda has created an opportunity to support the domestic U.S. solar industry that we should take advantage of. By emphasizing solar as part of a broader all of the above energy dominance strategy, we can reinvigorate the domestic supply chains and spur U.S. production necessary to support our national interests, in both energy and AI policy.

CHINA ‘THROWING GASOLINE ON THE FIRE’ IN AI DATA CENTERS RACE, SAY LAWMAKERS

Building up secure domestic supply chains for solar has the added advantage of insulating the U.S. against future energy shocks because the fuel these panels run on doesn’t require pipelines or tankers. Iran might be able to mine the Strait of Hormuz, but it can’t block out the sun.

Call it an Arsenal of Democracy for the AI age. At a moment when the country needs vastly more electricity, American companies are answering with real capital and real factories, and Washington is finally clearing a path for them to build here at home.
