Bill Murray pours Guinness for fans at New York bar after admitting fame 'is not easy'

The 76-year-old served drinks and posed for photos with patrons at Rory Dolan's Restaurant & Bar

Bill Murray was spotted enjoying Halloween in Yonkers, New York, where he interacted with fans while working behind the bar.

The 76-year-old actor and former "Saturday Night Live" star was photographed sitting with Rory Dolan, the owner of Rory Dolan's Restaurant & Bar, and showing off his bartending skills by pouring Guinness for customers.

The actor looked like a natural behind the bar as fans cheered when he poured a glass of Guinness.

"He had a bottle of wine, a very nice bottle of wine, and he also had, he was drinking some beer, but he did pour a pint of Guinness," Dolan told Fox News Digital. "Three-part pour, which is good to see him doing it. It wasn't his first time to do it!"

ACTOR BILL MURRAY STUNS TRUMP'S TOP ECONOMIC ADVISOR WITH BIZARRE QUESTION ON NEWS SHOW

According to Dolan, Murray arrived at the restaurant on his own. Murray kept it casual in a black outfit, with a navy blue button-up vest over a long-sleeved black shirt. In addition to serving drinks, Murray took time to pose for photos with other patrons at the bar.

"I think because he really was looking for the Irish culture," Dolan said. "He had been in Ireland doing this show. He has an excellent show out, but he was building on that energy, and he wanted to get behind the bar, pour a pint, and he wanted to know all about me and Rory Dolan's and whatever else. He was just very inquisitive, and he was very, very gracious to all, every one of the customers who went up and asked for photographs and spoke to them at length, and he was just, it was just great to have him."

Dolan also shared that the restaurant was celebrating another patron's 90th birthday the night Murray visited.

"The 90th birthday was that evening and then the crowd was in before the 90th birthday," Dolan said. "There was a big funeral, and they all came out to the bar, and it was just, the place was full and he was loving it."

Dolan said other celebrities, including Pierce Brosnan, have also visited the bar.

Murray got his big break when he was cast on "Saturday Night Live" in 1977, winning an Emmy for his work on the show's writing staff. He went on to receive an Academy Award nomination, seven Golden Globe nominations with one win, four Emmy nominations with two wins and a BAFTA Award.

In his new docuseries, "A Course Called Ireland," Murray discussed his relationship to fame and whether being a public figure makes him happy, answering, "In a word, no."

"It's not easy," he said, according to People. "I go through new revelations all the time about how I handle it and how to deal with it. It's not for everyone, but it has also brought me to this place, you know."

Despite it not being easy, Murray also admitted that being recognized in public has brought him joy on occasion, most notably when a fan shares with him how much one of his films means to them.

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

Meeting fans over the years has helped the "Lost in Translation" star realize there is "a lot of goodwill out there," although he also admitted that he's "not very pleasant."

"I think kind of famous people, they can decide that there's a certain way to play being famous, you know?" he said. When asked how he handles fame, Murray said, "Well, I’m not very pleasant. You can see that. I think just being nice-nice, I don’t go for nice-nice. If I were like an ordinary citizen acting the way that I do, I’d probably have a lot more cuts and bruises."

The "Ghostbusters" star most recently starred in the six-part docuseries, "A Course Called Ireland," which is inspired by the book of the same name.

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? It was the beauty. I’m a sucker for beauty.
Michael Vick suggests play-call in waning moments of Norfolk State's dramatic defeat was ignored

North Carolina Central recovered a fumble and scored a go-ahead touchdown with seconds left in the FCS matchup

November is the time of year when the college football season zeroes in on how the major teams from the top conferences perform with weeks to go before the final playoff rankings are announced.

On this Sunday, it’s worth checking in on what happened to Michael Vick’s Norfolk State Spartans over the weekend. The North Carolina Central Eagles pulled off a miraculous victory over Norfolk State in a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) matchup.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

The Eagles won in the final seconds of the game but Vick told reporters it likely could have all been avoided if someone was listening to him. The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback was getting ready to celebrate when everything went south.

North Carolina Central had no timeouts and Norfolk State had the ball with 1:34 to play on Saturday. All the Spartans had to do was run the clock out. Vick said he called for the victory formation, which would have been at least two kneel downs or a running play to take as much time off the clock as possible.

Instead, Norfolk State quarterback Deljay Bailey took a snap from the shotgun formation, ran to his left and fumbled the ball. North Carolina Central recovered the fumble and the offense marched down the field and scored to take a 29-28 lead after missing the two-point conversion.

Vick said he told his offense to do the very opposite.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

"I don’t know what happened at the end of the game," Vick said, via WTKR-TV. "I put my headset down. I called victory formation. All we had to do was take a knee, kneel the clock out. That’s just situational football. I don’t know what happened in regards to that. I looked up and we was running the ball, and then I seen the fumble. But my final instructions was victory formation. That’s when you kneel it out. And they had, I think, zero timeouts left and the game was over practically."

"Well, I put my headset down, and I took my headset off because all we had to do was just run it three times, or two times, or kneel it out," he continued. "That’s called victory. I don’t know what happened. A run play was called. I looked up, I seen us running the ball. I don’t know what happened. I really don’t. I don’t know what the play call was. I don’t know why we even ran that play."

A video of the final moments of the game showed the players meeting with offensive coordinator Brian Sheppard. Vick was around the huddle without a headset and casually walked to the meeting. The former NFL star said he definitely called for a "victory formation."

It’s unclear why there was a risky play called at that particular moment.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

Norfolk State did get the ball back and got into field-goal range.
Trump ‘holds all the cards’ in war against Iran’s regime, White House says

Despite Iranian claims of being emboldened by midterms, experts urge Trump to ‘finish the job’

JERUSALEM — With Iran’s missing-in-action Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei taunting Americans about the "collapse" of the U.S. after the midterm elections, the White House and Middle East experts argue President Donald Trump is positioned to defeat the remnants of the rogue regime.

The remaining two years of Trump’s Iran policy have profound implications for his legacy and could lay the foundation for a new Middle East devoid of the region’s worst state sponsor of terrorism, the Islamic Republic of Iran, should Trump pursue new military actions to dislodge Khamenei’s regime, according to experts.

Khamenei, who has not been seen in public since a joint U.S.-Israel airstrike killed his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and members of his family, boasted on X following the Republican defeat in the midterms: "The process of the US's collapse has accelerated."

IRAN TAKES A VICTORY LAP OVER STUNNING US ELECTION RESULTS, CLAIMS 'COLLAPSE HAS ACCELERATED'

The radical Islamist clerical ruler’s braggadocio was met with tough statements from the White House and leading Middle East experts on Iran’s theocratic state.

A White House spokesperson told Fox News Digital that "The United States is in a very strong position with control of the Strait of Hormuz and the Iranian economy collapsing. Iran has been decimated, and things will go one of two ways; the easy way or the hard way. President Trump holds all the cards and will do whatever is best for the United States."

TRUMP REVIVES IRAN REGIME CHANGE SPECULATION WITH CRYPTIC CALL FOR PEOPLE TO 'RISE UP'

The spokesperson added, "Only President Trump knows what he will do and when."

The Islamic Republic ramped up its bellicose anti-American and anti-Western rhetoric and activities over the last week. Tehran presented a "Trump in a Cage" exhibit with a mock execution of Trump to coincide with the regime’s anniversary of its illegal seizure of the U.S. Embassy and kidnapping of its personnel on Nov. 4, 1979.

TRUMP CALLS IRAN CONFLICT A 'SOFT WAR,' INSISTS US HOLDS THE CARDS AHEAD OF MIDTERM ELECTIONS

The Ayatollahs did not restrict their jingoism to the U.S. An AI-generated video published by state-controlled Iranian media outlets shows the spokesperson of the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces threatening Western Europe.

"We are not like you," the spokesperson said. "Iran does not harm innocents. You are not our enemy. But anyone, anywhere in Europe, who assists America in harming our women and children is our enemy, and we will punish them."

The video features military targets in France, Germany and Britain.

Navid Mohebbi, who worked as a Persian media analyst for the State Department's Public Affairs Bureau, told Fox News Digital that Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, went so far as to claim that Iran had inflicted a political defeat on Trump in Washington, in addition to its supposed victories on the battlefield and in the Strait of Hormuz.

"Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf similarly portrayed the election results as an American rejection of the war," Mohebbi said.

TRUMP CAN’T LET IRAN TURN A MILITARY DEFEAT TURN INTO A DIPLOMATIC VICTORY

He argued it was part of a broader psychological and political campaign.

"Tehran, along with commentators sympathetic to the regime in the United States, is trying to promote the wildly exaggerated narrative that confronting the Islamic Republic carries an unbearable electoral cost for American politicians," Mohebbi said. "Evidence does not support the claim that the Iran war alone caused the Republican defeat. According to national exit polling, only 4% of voters identified foreign policy as the country’s single most important issue."

The phrase "finish the job" has become synonymous with toppling the 47-year ironclad totalitarian rule of the Islamic Republic.

IRAN’S REGIME WON’T NEGOTIATE IN GOOD FAITH. TRUMP MUST BREAK ITS GRIP

"I believe President Trump should finish the job, because the fundamental threats posed by the Islamic Republic remain unresolved," Mohebbi said, adding the nuclear file is far from closed.

"Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile remains unaccounted for under international verification, and the regime has retained the ability to rebuild elements of its ballistic missile program," he said. "More importantly, its underlying strategic behavior and hostility toward the United States and its regional allies have not fundamentally changed."

Former Pentagon official Simone Ledeen told the London-based Iran International news organization the Islamic Republic "needs to end" and the regime will never change its behavior. She called for support for Iran’s people on the ground and opposes putting American troops on the ground.

TRUMP IS DISMANTLING IRAN’S WAR MACHINE, BUT AMERICA STILL NEEDS AN ENDGAME

Veteran Iran observers and experts have noted Trump was the first U.S. leader not to kick the Iran nuclear weapons problem down the road. His decision to confront Iran’s illegal atomic weapons system was one of the most decisive foreign policy achievements of his administration, according to popular American commentators like Ben Shapiro.

Shapiro termed Trump’s Operation Epic Fury campaign against Iran "the single bravest foreign policy move of my lifetime."

"What you’re watching him [Trump] do in Iran is not only unprecedented in terms of its political courage. I think that it is and has the potential to be a true game changer for America’s role in the world, not only for the next 10 or 20 years, but for the coming century," Shapiro told Lara Trump on Fox News' "My View" in March.

AFTER 47 YEARS OF CONFRONTING IRAN, DOES AMERICA HAVE A STRATEGY FOR ENDING THIS WAR?

Mohebbi said there is also a critical factor that Washington must understand: the Islamic Republic is attempting to wait out the Trump administration. Even if Trump were to negotiate the strongest possible agreement today, he believes Tehran would view it as a temporary arrangement rather than a permanent change in its strategic direction.

"The regime calculates that a future Democratic administration would not resort to military action against it," he said. "Once Tehran believes the threat of military force is off the table, it will become even more defiant in its behavior and more brazen at the negotiating table."

Another school of thought is to subcontract military actions to Israel against Iran’s regime.

IRAN REGIME CHANGE TALK RESURFACES AS TRUMP SAYS TEHRAN 'WANTS TO MEET' AMID US STRIKES

Mardo Soghom, an Iran expert who has written extensively about the Islamic Republic, told Fox News Digital that Tehran's strategy has always been to wait out U.S. pressure.

"They were hoping to ride out the Trump administration's pressures for two more years. Now they believe they have it," Soghom said. "I think he should give full support to Israel to do the job and not interfere. The U.S. should continue to maintain its blockade of Iran and facilitate shipping from the Persian Gulf, but except hitting well-protected and highly dangerous targets, such as nuclear sites if needed, the US should stay out of continuous attacks because its internal political situation is messed up."

Soghom, who tracks Iranian regime media, added the Iranian state radio is celebrating the Democratic victory.

"Incidentally, 47 years ago today, the new Islamic regime in Tehran gave the green light to its supporters to attack and seize the U.S. embassy," he said. "This election result will embolden them, and they'll not be inclined to compromise with the Trump admin — or even a future Democrat. Like in most other things, Trump did not finish the job when he could."

Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), told Fox News Digital that Iran sees the midterm election results as exacting a political cost from the Trump administration for launching Operation Epic Fury.

"It hopes these electoral losses will deter this and future administrations from launching military operations against Tehran over its aggression and terrorism," Brodsky said, adding that at the same time, Iranian decision-makers are likely eyeing Trump warily.

"President Trump has proven unpredictable and, with over two years left in office, that is a lot of time for the U.S. to continue to damage the Iranian regime," Brodsky said.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

He noted that while Congress can complicate and raise objections, historically, without a veto-proof majority, it retains limited options for checking executive branch operations in this space.

"The 2006 midterm elections are instructive here, where, despite the prevailing anti-war sentiment at the time, President Bush still authorized a surge in the Iraq War," Brodsky said.

Memphis star Jayden Reid breaks down in tears after leading Tigers to win over VCU: 'God blessed me so much'

The Northwestern transfer hit two free throws with five seconds left to seal the Tigers' 89-88 win

The college basketball season is just one week old, and while it may feel far too early to start tossing around the label of 'moments of the year,' it's hard to imagine Jayden Reid's postgame interview following Memphis' win over VCU on Saturday not standing the test of time.

Reid, who transferred from Northwestern to play for Penny Hardaway's squad this season, has been an absolute force for the Tigers through their first two games.

After scoring 26 points in the team's upset over Iowa State to begin the year, he followed that up with a 32-point performance in his home debut for the Tigers in their 89-88 victory over the Rams.

ILLINOIS BASKETBALL PLAYERS HAVE PRICELESS REACTION AFTER LEARNING CAITLIN CLARK WAS AT THEIR GAME

As the game's leading scorer who also hit two free throws with five seconds remaining to hand Memphis the win, Reid joined the Tigers' radio network on the floor for a postgame interview.

While he eventually answered a few questions about the contest, those came after he broke down in tears and expressed extreme gratitude for the opportunity.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. I always prayed for this. I'm just thankful for God putting me in a great position coming to Memphis out of the [transfer] portal. I'm just so thankful for my coaches and my teammates; it's a big-time win at home."

There aren't many players who would show that sort of emotion after picking up a win over an unranked team in game two of the season, which makes the vulnerable moment that much better.

Reid, a Westbury, New York, native, began his college career at USF, where he played two seasons before transferring to Northwestern.
Pro-life pregnancy center expands mission to help patients embrace their God-given gender

California pregnancy center now offers women the care they need to fully embrace their God-given gender

Helping a transgender man detransition to being a woman again is not something the pro-life, gospel-led Alternatives Pregnancy Center even notes on its website.

But because it is a full-service women's health clinic with doctors who specialize in hormone therapy, it's simply something they do in order to give women the care they need to fully embrace their God-given gender.

It is all based on listening to the Holy Spirit, said executive director Heidi Matzke.

STUDY REVEALS UNEXPECTED HEALTH BENEFITS AFTER 5 MINUTES OF PRAYER

Based in Sacramento, California, Alternatives is one of hundreds of like-minded pregnancy help centers across the country. These venues may have different names, but they all work to help women with unplanned pregnancies.

Still, years ago when Matzke took over, she knew she needed help — heavenly help.

Matzke told Fox News, "When God called me into this ministry ... I felt the Holy Spirit impress upon my heart back then, 'Heidi, you're right. You have no idea what you're doing, and that's why you'd better be face-down before me every single day. You better be fasting and praying.'"

She did fast. And she prayed and listened, she said.

The result today is a pregnancy help center that is also a full-service health clinic for women.

New challenges

It wasn't long before another challenge came Matzke's way, involving listening to God.

She asked the Holy Spirit to direct her very short talk at a church soon after launching the full-service clinic. The pastor gave her just two minutes.

Matzke heard the Holy Spirit say to talk only about the women's health services the center offered and nothing else — not even the unplanned pregnancy help.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTER

She did as directed. While the congregation received her respectfully and politely, Matzke said she felt a sense of defeat.

Then, between services, a man dressed as a woman came to her in the pews.

It was just the two of them.

He said the words that changed both their lives.

He said to her, "What you don't know about me is that I'm biologically female, and I encountered Christ. The Holy Spirit has done work in my heart, and I am now trying to detransition. But my current doctors have basically abandoned me and I have nowhere to go."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE HEALTH NEWS

That "man dressed as a woman" was Jessica Rose. Her story is all over the internet.

On that faith-filled day, Rose told Matzke she had been sobbing uncontrollably during Matzke's short presentation, as she had been praying that morning that God would provide her with free women's medical care.

By listening to the Holy Spirit, Matzke became the angel in Jessica Rose's life.

Her doctors had been eager to start her on hormones and surgery to remove her breasts after just a 30-minute consultation.

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

Now, in the pew, Matzke was the answer to spirit-leading prayer.

The women's heath clinic at that moment became more full-service than Heidi Matzke could ever imagine.

It became a place where all women, meaning adult females, can be strengthened and shown to love themselves as they are in the light of the Gospel of Christ.

On an episode of the "Lighthouse Faith" podcast, Matzke talks about her encounter with Jessica Rose.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

She also shares how a series of events strengthened her resolve to develop a full-service health clinic led by the Gospel — and how listening to the Holy Spirit brings healing to many more people than we could ever imagine.

Facebook recovery scams use fake FBI profiles

Scammers are using Facebook ads and fake FBI investigator profiles to promise victims their stolen money ba

You've already lost money to a scam. You're frustrated and probably wondering whether you'll ever see that money again. Then, while scrolling through Facebook, an advertisement appears promising to recover your stolen funds. Suddenly, there's a little hope. Maybe someone out there can actually help. Unfortunately, that moment of hope is exactly what scammers are trying to exploit.

One of our loyal CyberGuy followers, Patrick K, recently tipped us off to suspicious fraud recovery advertisements and profiles appearing on Facebook. He shared screenshots of what he was seeing and urged us to warn others.

His tip caught our attention, so we decided to dig deeper and contacted Meta about the suspicious accounts and advertisements. After reviewing the examples we provided, Meta confirmed to CyberGuy that it removed the flagged accounts and ads for violating its impersonation policies. The screenshots Patrick shared are especially concerning. One promotes stolen-asset recovery services. Another uses FBI-related imagery and claims to help people navigate the Internet Crime Complaint Center, better known as IC3. Together, they show how convincing these offers can appear.

Missed CyberGuy LIVE? Watch the replay and discover 5 ways to travel smarter and save money.

Our free CyberGuy LIVE class, 5 Ways to Travel Smarter and Save Money, has ended, but you can still watch the full replay. Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson walks you through five practical ways to protect your phone and personal information, avoid common travel scams, find better deals, save money on bookings and use technology to make your travels easier and less stressful. No technical experience is needed.

Watch the free replay + downloadable checklist now at CyberGuyLive.com.

WHY IDENTITY THEFT COMES BACK FOR THE SAME PEOPLE

Facebook recovery ads promise to get your money back

The first screenshot Patrick shared shows a Facebook advertisement displayed under the name Adam Molina. The promotional image features a smiling man in a business suit against a purple background. The graphic bears the name "DARKTRACER" and asks whether you've lost assets or funds to scammers. Below that message, the ad promotes services like recovering stolen assets and retrieving hacked cryptocurrency wallets. At the bottom, there's a Facebook Messenger button inviting people to send a message.

That's what concerns me. Someone who just lost thousands of dollars could see this advertisement and believe they've finally found a solution. After all, it looks like a company offering specialized assistance. And because it appears as a paid Facebook advertisement, some people may assume the advertiser has been thoroughly vetted.

Fake FBI investigator profiles create another trap

The second screenshot Patrick sent us is even more troubling. It shows a Facebook page displaying the title "Director of Fraud Investigations" and the name Grace K. The cover image features the White House, the FBI's J. Edgar Hoover Building and cryptocurrency graphics. It also displays references to IC3 and the U.S. Department of Justice. The page description claims to help fraud victims navigate the IC3 reporting process. It even suggests that people who lost more than $4,000 may qualify for federal review. That claim appears on the page, but we found no support for such a dollar threshold in the FBI's published guidance.

It's a convincing presentation for someone desperately searching for help. The American flags and official-looking graphics create the impression that a federal agency may be involved. But here's what you need to know. The FBI says IC3 has no official social media presence. It never investigates crimes or recovers stolen money through Facebook Messenger or Telegram. That means any Facebook page claiming to represent IC3 should immediately raise suspicion, regardless of how official it looks. Meta's subsequent removal of the flagged accounts and advertisements reinforces those concerns.

Meta removes Facebook recovery scam accounts after CyberGuy inquiry

After CyberGuy shared Patrick's screenshots with Meta, the company investigated and confirmed that it removed the flagged accounts and advertisements for violating its impersonation policies. Meta also provided broader details about its efforts to combat these schemes. According to the company, it removed more than 179 million accounts, Pages and Groups for misrepresenting identity during the first half of 2026. Most were removed before anyone reported them. Since 2025, Meta says it has also removed more than 17.3 million Facebook and Instagram accounts linked to criminal scam centers.

This problem isn't new to Meta. The company previously worked with cybersecurity researchers at Graphika to identify fraudulent websites impersonating the FBI's IC3 complaint center. The scammers promised to help victims recover stolen money, including cryptocurrency. Meta says it blocked the fraudulent websites and removed accounts connected to those operations. However, the examples Patrick discovered show how these impersonation schemes continue to reach Facebook users.

FBI warns about fake IC3 recovery investigators

On July 20, 2026, the FBI issued an updated public warning about scammers impersonating IC3 investigators. According to the agency, criminals create fraudulent social media profiles that appear connected to the FBI. They then approach people who have already reported losing money to online scams. In one documented scheme, a victim realizes they've been defrauded and threatens to report the crime to the FBI. Later, someone pretending to be an FBI agent contacts the victim through Facebook Messenger. The conversation may move to Telegram, where the impersonator provides a link supposedly connected to the victim's IC3 complaint. That link may contain malicious code or collect additional financial information. Either way, the victim faces another potential loss.

The FBI also warns about AI-generated videos impersonating federal officials. Some of these videos direct victims to fraudulent websites designed to resemble the real IC3 complaint center. Once there, visitors may be asked to submit personal information under the impression they're dealing with federal investigators. And this type of impersonation extends well beyond Facebook. In a separate September 17, 2026, warning, the FBI reported nearly 61,000 complaints involving law enforcement or government impersonation scams between January 2025 and July 2026. Reported losses exceeded $1.6 billion. Those figures cover a broad range of government impersonation schemes, not Facebook recovery scams specifically. However, they show how costly impersonating official authorities has become.

SCAMMERS ARE COMING FOR YOUR MONEY. HERE’S THE ONE THING YOU MUST NEVER DO

Why scammers target people who already lost money

There's a particularly cruel element to recovery fraud. The criminals approach people who may already be dealing with serious financial hardship. Some have lost retirement savings, while others have been tricked into sending cryptocurrency to someone they trusted. When an offer arrives promising to recover those funds, it's understandable why someone might want to believe it.

In August 2026, the Federal Trade Commission warned that recovery scammers sometimes purchase lists of people who previously lost money to fraud. They use those details to make their offers appear credible. For example, someone may contact you claiming they've located your stolen funds. They might even know approximately how much you lost. That information can make the person sound legitimate, especially when they claim to represent a government agency or law firm.

Eventually, the supposed recovery agent introduces a fee. They might call it a processing charge or claim the payment will release your recovered funds. But after you pay, the promised refund never arrives. In some cases, the scammer also collects enough personal information to attempt identity theft. We've previously covered the scripts criminals use in cryptocurrency scams, including fake recovery services that demand additional cryptocurrency payments.

How to spot Facebook recovery scams before losing more money

A convincing advertisement or official-looking Facebook profile can fool someone who's searching for answers. Fortunately, there are warning signs you can look for before responding. Here's how to protect yourself.

1. Be suspicious of guaranteed recovery promises

Anyone claiming they can definitely retrieve stolen cryptocurrency or recover all your lost money deserves close scrutiny. Recovery depends on the circumstances, and no legitimate service can guarantee success. Be especially cautious when someone promises fast results.

2. Never pay an unexpected upfront recovery fee

The FTC warns that scammers often demand processing fees before supposedly releasing recovered funds. These payments may be described as taxes or administrative charges. However, the FBI says IC3 never charges victims to recover stolen money.

3. Check claims of government involvement

If someone on Facebook claims to work for IC3, don't engage. The FBI says IC3 has no official social media presence. Instead, type IC3.gov directly into your browser to verify information or submit a complaint.

4. Watch for conversations moving to other apps

Scammers may begin contacting you through Facebook Messenger before asking to continue on Telegram. The FBI specifically identified this behavior in IC3 impersonation cases. Be cautious when an unexpected contact pressures you to switch platforms.

5. Protect your financial information

Never share banking passwords or cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases with someone advertising recovery services. Also, don't install remote-access software at the request of an unexpected contact. Doing so could give scammers access to your accounts or device.

6. Research recovery companies independently

Search for the company's name alongside terms such as "scam" or "complaint." Look for independently verifiable business information and a legitimate track record. Keep in mind that scammers can create fake testimonials and misleading websites to appear trustworthy.

THE BEST DEFENSE AGAINST HIGH-TECH AI SCAMS IS LOW-TECH SKEPTICISM, EXPERT WARNS

7. Use strong antivirus software

Strong antivirus software can help detect malicious websites, phishing links and harmful downloads associated with recovery scams. Choose protection with real-time threat detection and web security features. Keep it updated to help defend against emerging threats. However, antivirus software cannot prevent every scam, especially if you're tricked into sending money yourself. Get my picks for the best 2026 antivirus protection winners for your Windows, Mac, Android & iOS devices at Cyberguy.com

8. Consider a personal data removal service

Scammers may use information from data broker websites to identify potential targets and make fraudulent recovery offers more convincing. A reputable data removal service can help remove your personal information from covered broker sites. This reduces some of the information criminals can easily find about you, although it cannot eliminate every exposure. Check out my top picks for data removal services and get a free scan to find out if your personal information is already out on the web by visiting Cyberguy.com

9. Report suspicious Facebook advertisements

Select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the advertisement and choose Report ad. Then follow the prompts. For suspicious profiles or pages, use Facebook's reporting options to flag possible impersonation or fraud.

10. Invest in identity theft protection

If scammers obtain your personal information, they may attempt to use it for additional fraud. An identity theft protection service can monitor for certain signs of suspicious activity and alert you to potential misuse. Depending on the plan, it may also provide identity restoration assistance if your information gets compromised. See my tips and best picks on Best Identity Theft Protection at Cyberguy.com

11. Save evidence before blocking the account

Take screenshots of the advertisement or suspicious profile before blocking it. Also, preserve the page URL and any messages you received. These details may help Facebook and law enforcement investigate the activity.

What to do if you already contacted a recovery scammer

If you've exchanged messages with someone offering to recover stolen money, stop communicating until you've independently verified who you're dealing with. And if you've already sent money, act quickly. Here's what to do next.

Stop communicating with the suspected scammer. Don't send additional payments or share more personal information. Save your messages and screenshots before blocking the account.

Contact your bank or payment provider immediately. Explain what happened and ask whether the transaction can be stopped or reversed. The sooner you report the payment, the better your chances of recovering some or all of your money.

Report cryptocurrency transactions. If you sent cryptocurrency, notify the exchange or wallet provider you used. These transfers are generally difficult to reverse, but reporting them may help investigators trace the funds.

File an official fraud complaint. Report the incident to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov/ and the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. You can also notify local law enforcement.

Scan your devices for malware. If you clicked a suspicious link or downloaded software, run a full scan using strong antivirus protection. Remove any detected threats and uninstall unfamiliar applications. If you granted someone remote access, disconnect the device from the internet and seek trusted technical assistance.

Secure your accounts. If you shared passwords, change them immediately from a trusted device and enable multifactor authentication. If you provided banking details, contact your financial institution to discuss additional protections.

Protect yourself from identity theft. If you exposed your Social Security number or other sensitive information, visit IdentityTheft.gov for recovery steps. Consider identity theft monitoring and restoration services for additional support. You can also place free credit freezes with the three major credit bureaus.

Explore legitimate recovery options. The FTC provides guidance on recovering payments sent to scammers, including steps based on how you paid. Recovery isn't guaranteed, but official channels offer your best starting point.

Remember, legitimate recovery options may exist through financial institutions or law enforcement investigations. Always contact these organizations directly using their official websites or verified phone numbers rather than information provided by someone who approached you online.

Kurt's key takeaways

I have to give Patrick credit for bringing these suspicious Facebook ads to our attention. After we followed up with Meta, the company investigated and removed the accounts and ads we flagged. That's a positive outcome, and I appreciate Meta taking action. Still, the bigger problem remains. Scammers continue targeting people who have already lost money, often using convincing government branding to gain their trust. Meanwhile, if you've lost money, don't let anyone pressure you into paying more to recover it. Contact your bank or law enforcement directly, and report suspicious ads whenever you see them.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Have you encountered a suspicious recovery ad on Social media?
11th-hour power play targets incoming Dem governor after historic GOP defeat

Harrison says Republicans must act in remaining ten weeks before Gov.-elect Gina Hinojosa is sworn in

A GOP lawmaker in Texas is seeking to limit some of the incoming governor's powers after Democrats flipped the state blue in Tuesday's election.

Republican Texas state Rep. Brian Harrison on Wednesday publicly urged outgoing Gov. Greg Abbott to convene a special session to "rein in" the governor's executive emergency powers before Democratic Gov.-elect Gina Hinojosa takes office.

"Republicans lost last night, but Democrats were not sworn in," Harrison wrote in a lengthy statement posted on X. "We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, that would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat."

Harrison also emphasized in the post that he believes Texas governors should not have "unchecked" emergency powers, regardless of their party affiliation.

TED CRUZ SAYS 'BLUE TSUNAMI' TOOK OVER TEXAS AFTER DEMOCRATS SWEPT STATEWIDE RACES

"Texas should have reined in executive emergency powers when I first demanded it in 2022," Harrison told Fox News Digital on Thursday. "If these are not revoked, Gina Hinojosa will assume not just the powers our state constitution bestows upon a Governor, but will, in effect, inherit nearly all the powers of a dictator. Most people are shocked to learn Texas governors can write, edit, or change any statute on a whim if they just declare an ‘emergency,’ and this is unconstitutional."

Under Section 433.002 of the Texas Government Code, the governor may issue emergency directives and "amend, modify, or rescind" those directives during a declared state of emergency, subject to the requirements outlined in the law.

"These powers have been abused in the past, and Governor-Elect Hinojosa has pledged to use them on day one," the Texas Republican added. "Republicans are still in control for ten weeks, we need to start acting like it."

Harrison also said in the X post that the Texas Legislature should "immediately pass" legislation such as HB911, which he filed in December 2022 to restrict the governor’s "never ending emergency powers."

His comments come after Hinojosa defeated Abbott in Texas' 2026 gubernatorial race on Tuesday, becoming the state's first-ever Latina governor.

While on the campaign trail, Hinojosa pledged that she would declare "a high-cost emergency" in Texas and introduce executive orders to halt the state's gas and diesel taxes and to freeze residential electricity rates, the Texas Tribune reported Wednesday.

Abbott's office and Hinojosa's campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

In a Thursday X post, Harrison claimed that his demand to curb the Texas governor's emergency powers "has REALLY triggered low-IQ leftists across America," adding that he did not "recall them cussing and calling me every name in the book when I filed the same legislation 4 years ago... right after ABBOTT was re-elected!!"

The governor of Texas possesses the ability to sign or veto bills passed by the state's Legislature, serve as commander-in-chief of the state's military forces and convene special legislative sessions "for specific purposes," according to Abbott's office.

Under the Texas Disaster Act of 1975, the governor can declare a state of disaster and exercise certain emergency powers, including suspending specific regulatory requirements, but disaster declarations must be renewed after 30 days and can be terminated by the Legislature at any time.

AMERICA SAW THE BLUE WAVE COMING — BUT DRASTICALLY UNDERESTIMATED THE EXTENT OF THE DEM TSUNAMI

Hinojosa vowed in a Wednesday X post that her administration will "lead with a politics of courage, not convenience."

The Democratic Party notched another key victory in the Lone Star State on Tuesday after James Talarico toppled Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race.

Ahead of Hinojosa taking office next year, some Republican Texas state senators have pledged to "hold the line" against Democrat-led policy goals in the state, The Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday blasted Abbott in a Truth Social post, claiming the governor lost his re-election bid because he is a "RINO," an acronym that stands for "Republican in name only."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

"If Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, hadn’t become a RINO in the last six months of his Political Life, he wouldn’t have lost," Trump wrote in the social media post. "He went back to his original formula, and it wasn’t pretty!"

After conceding the race, Abbott told supporters on Tuesday that he had informed Hinojosa that he "would assist her and her team in a period of transition," The Hill reported.

"For weeks, I had been publicly warning on this podcast that we were in very real danger of losing everything in Texas," Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Wednesday in an X post. "Far too few believed that was possible. I am very, very sorry that it came to pass. Texas has not had a Democrat governor since 1994."

"We haven’t had a Democrat senator since 1993," Cruz added. "Now we’ll have both."

Hinojosa is set to officially take office in January 2027.

Miami coach furious with officials after possible TD catch ruled incomplete in crucial loss to Notre Dame

The Miami Hurricanes fell 31-24 after a fourth-down end zone catch was ruled incomplete with 3:36 remaining

There’s always that one game during the football season – whether it’s college or in the NFL – that leaves fans wondering, "What is a catch?"

The Miami Hurricanes were on the negative side of the answer. Hurricanes quarterback Darian Mensah fired a pass to Elija Lofton in the end zone on fourth down with about 3:36 left in the game. Lofton came down with the catch but officials ruled he didn’t maintain control all the way through the grab.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. Instead, Notre Dame held on for the 31-24 win.

Miami head coach Mario Cristobal said he was "beyond upset" over the incomplete call.

"Really disappointed they negated Elija Lofton’s touchdown with two hands on the ball and two feet in bounds," Cristobal said. "But like we told our team before we left Miami, do not leave it in the hands of the officials. So, that’s what you’re going to get out here (in South Bend, Indiana). So, aside from that, a very hard-fought game. Congratulations to Notre Dame for winning the game, but very disappointed in the way that was called with the game on the line and clear possession of a football inbounds."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

Cristobal said he got "zero" explanation of the ruling.

"I could sit here and go all day and hope games get called back and forth but certain plays that determine certain games when you have instant replay and you know I’m p---ed off. So, I mean, what do you want me to say? It’s bulls---," he said.

Mensah said he thought it was a touchdown as well.

Lofton had the ball in his hands and was in bounds, but Notre Dame defensive back Luke Talich knocked the ball out of his hands at the last second.

NBC referee analyst Terry McAulay said the officials made the correct call.

"You see him bobble it just a little bit before the ball gets knocked out," McAulay said.
An Iranian refugee's warning to American universities embracing foreign funding and radicalism

Qatar has invested $7.7B in American universities since 1986 while hosting Hamas' leadership since 2012

Imagine a University that fully embodied "America First."

What would things have looked like if, the day following Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack, the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee was not actively blaming the victims of Hamas’ terror attack?

Or Students for Justice in Palestine at George Washington University projecting "Glory to our martyrs," on the side of the campus library was instead replaced with Israeli flags waving in solidarity after the attacks?

If protesters at UNC Chapel Hill had never torn down the American flag to run up a Palestinian one, and mobs outside Washington, D.C.’s Union Station had never burned American flags and sprayed "Hamas is coming" across a national monument?

The movement that excused the massacre of Israelis did not stop there. It came for America’s flag next.

EXILED MUSLIM SCHOLAR WARNS FAR-LEFT–ISLAMIST ALLIANCE BEHIND ANTI-ISRAEL PROTESTS ECHOES IRAN’S RISE

Maybe it's just a university that keeps refusing to cash a check from Doha and refuses Qatari involvement in hiring faculty or shaping the curriculum.

This campus does not exist today, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t.

I fled a country that abandoned education in favor of radicalization. The Islamic Revolution did not start in mosques, but on campuses. Students marched for a revolution they believed they could control and influence, not one that the clerics would weaponize and use to plunge Iran into darkness.

CAMPUS ANTISEMITISM IS AN AMERICA FIRST ISSUE. ALUMNI MUST STAY IN THE FIGHT.

I was six when my family fled through the desert under burlap sacks while Iranian border police fired at us. I arrived in America speaking no English, and this country gave me everything: a public education, a medical degree, a career, a voice. I owe America a debt I can never repay. As a result, I take it personally when American universities produce something other than patriotic Americans.

It’s been three years since Hamas’ attacks, killing more than 1,200 innocent Israelis and abducting 251 to Gaza as hostages. On the three-year anniversary of the attacks, Columbia University’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine hosted a protest with advertisements stating, "Glory to the martyrs, resistance until victory."

In 2023, 34 Harvard groups held Israel "entirely responsible" for the slaughter of its own people before the bodies were counted, and a Cornell professor told a rally the attack was "exhilarating" and "energizing."

Columbia University Apartheid Divest posted "Long live the global intifada!" None of these schools ever considered expulsion.

Meanwhile, cash from foreign nations continues to pour into universities across the country. US Department of Education data shows foreign sources have sent $67.6 billion to American universities since 1986.

The largest donor, Qatar, has invested $7.7 billion. This is the same Gulf monarchy that has hosted Hamas’ leadership since 2012. Investigations in President Donald Trump’s first term pushed universities to disclose more than $6.5 billion in foreign money they had failed to report.

In a June report, JINSA documented how Qatar uses financial levers to influence America’s campuses. Qatar presents its investment as a philanthropic initiative in American academic excellence abroad, funded not by the Qatar government but by the non-governmental Qatar Foundation.

JINSA explained, "A state that does not permit its own citizens the civil liberties it funds an American university to advocate for in America is not engaged in human rights philanthropy. It is purchasing the institutional vocabulary and academic prestige of American civil rights and deploying them in service of a political category that aligns with its foreign policy objectives."

HARVARD TOPS NATION IN FOREIGN CASH HAUL AS COTTON DEMANDS PROBE INTO CHINA FUNDING

Let’s imagine the alternative universities could embrace.

Imagine Harvard, which accepted $4.2 billion in foreign funds between 1986 and 2025, announcing it would refuse to accept funds from countries that bankroll terrorist organizations. Or if Columbia treated praising terror as harshly as cheating on an exam.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned foreign students on visas, "We gave you a visa to come and study and get a degree, not to become a social activist."

TRUMP TELLS FOREIGN STUDENTS: OVERSTAY YOUR VISA, FACE THE CONSEQUENCES

The First Amendment protects Americans’ right to say nearly anything they want, no matter how vile. A private university also has the right to decide that praising terrorists is incompatible with its campus culture.

Imagine what America would look like if universities held students to a standard above the current status quo. They would build microchips, improve infrastructure, and develop technological advances that ensure we, America, are the global leader we should be. That is what "America First" looks like on a campus: not a slogan, but an education that produces proud Americans.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

This is what universities did for generations before they decided foreign money and fashionable radicalism mattered more than the country that built them. The Shah’s Iran had world-class universities too.

I watched what happened when they stopped being about education. I will not watch it happen to the country that saved my life.

All-you-can-eat dining makes a comeback as Americans look for more bang for their buck

5 restaurants serving up hearty portions and global flavors as diners seek more value for their money

With grocery and restaurant prices climbing, Americans have a hearty appetite for all-you-can-eat and buffet-style dining.

Yelp searches for all-you-can-eat buffets jumped 252% from 2025, The Wall Street Journal recently reported.

While major chains like Golden Corral often dominate the buffet landscape, the outlet highlighted five other spots offering everything from Southern comfort food and Uzbek specialties to Korean barbecue and Brazilian steakhouse fare.

AMERICA'S BIGGEST BUFFET CHAIN CRACKED THE CODE TO ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT PROFITS

Here they are below:

1. Good Time Country Buffet

Since opening in September, Good Time has brought Southern-style comfort food to Manhattan, with dishes such as Salisbury steak, collard greens, dinner rolls and peach cobbler.

Unlimited servings cost $26.99, according to the Journal. Co-founder David Yun said the goal was to offer "something affordable" and evoke "the humble buffet that really brings you back to that memory."

DOLLY PARTON'S FAVORITE SOUTHERN DISHES, FROM CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS TO BANANA PUDDING

2. Tashkent Supermarket

Tashkent's Uzbek hot bar, also in New York City, features dozens of prepared dishes, including plov, stuffed cabbage, manti dumplings and pastries.

Customers pay by weight, unlike the all-you-can-eat buffets. The Journal reported that takeout containers typically cost $10.99 to $11.99 per pound.

GROCERY STORE SWITCH COULD SAVE AMERICANS MONEY WHILE SHAKING UP DINNER ROUTINES

Since opening last year, Tashkent's West Village location has put a spotlight on Central Asian cuisine, with food bloggers helping to draw attention to its hot bar, The Guardian reported.

3. KPot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot

KPot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot lets diners cook meats, vegetables and noodles at the table, barbecue-style or in hot broth.

For $5 extra, diners can do both, The Journal reported, noting that prices vary, from $36.99 in New York to $31.99 in Oklahoma City.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER

With locations in nearly 40 states, KPot is one of the largest Korean restaurant chains in the country.

4. Der Dutchman

Der Dutchman serves hearty, Amish- and Mennonite-inspired fare, including creamed chicken, meatloaf, baked ham and noodles with mashed potatoes.

It is among several famous heartland spots that often land on the country's best buffets lists and has "a good rocking-chair-on-a-big-front-porch type of vibe," one diner told the Journal.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE LIFESTYLE NEWS

All-you-can-eat dinners cost about $20 for adults, while breakfast was about $14 and included pancakes, biscuits and regional specialties such as tomato gravy and fried cornmeal mush, according to the outlet.

5. Fogo de Chão

Fogo de Chão offers two distinct lunch options: an unlimited Market Table with soups, salads, breads and Brazilian specialties, and the Full Churrasco Experience, which adds fire-roasted meats served at the table.

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

The Journal reported the Market Table at $20, with the full meat service costing about $30 more.
Stephen Colbert accused of crossing Harvard picket line before event with Yo-Yo Ma cut short by alarm

Harvard Graduate Students Union says they urged them to cancel, citing Colbert's support for 2023 Hollywood writers' strike

The union said it contacted both performers in advance, including through their respective labor organizations, but neither withdrew from the event.

The alarm sounded roughly 40 minutes into the sold-out event at Sanders Theatre, forcing Colbert, Ma and audience members to evacuate, according to Harvard Magazine. The discussion, titled "Arts for Life's Sake," had been scheduled to last 90 minutes but did not resume.

OBAMA FOUNDATION WORKERS MOVE TO UNIONIZE OVER BENEFITS, WORKING CONDITIONS MONTHS AFTER CENTER OPENS

About 50 union protesters demonstrated outside the theater before and during the event, beating drums, sounding air horns and chanting slogans demanding better pay and working conditions, the outlet reported.

The cause of the fire alarm remains unclear, and the union denied any involvement.

"The alarm was unrelated to HGSU's picketing activity and we have no knowledge of its cause," the union said in a social media statement, adding that members were relieved no one inside was at risk.

The union is seeking annual pay of $55,000 for research assistants and approximately $45,000 for teaching fellows on 10-month appointments, along with 3% annual raises or cost-of-living adjustments.

Other demands include an independent grievance process for harassment and discrimination complaints, legal fee assistance in Title IX cases and financial support for workers who need to leave unsafe laboratory environments.

The union is also seeking protections for sensitive immigration documents, guaranteed leave for visa delays or immigration emergencies, and a requirement that Harvard notify the union if Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrive on campus. It also wants the university to require a judicial warrant before cooperating with ICE.

The union had highlighted Colbert's support for the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, during which he joined striking Hollywood workers on the picket line, in its appeal for the performers to reconsider their appearance.

FEDERAL JUDGE TOSSES TRUMP ADMIN HARVARD ADMISSIONS LAWSUIT, LEAVES DOOR OPEN TO FUTURE CHALLENGE

In a statement, the union said it had repeatedly urged Colbert and Ma to avoid crossing its picket line, including through their respective labor organizations, SAG-AFTRA and the Boston Musicians' Association.

"They continued the event inside without regard for the picket line, and refused to speak with union members as they left the event," the union said. "In other words — they crossed our picket line."

Author John Green, meanwhile, moved a scheduled Harvard appearance online to avoid crossing the graduate student union's picket line.

"They're on strike and I had to move a thing to not cross a picket line," Green said in a video shared by the union. "Which was an easy decision … it was not a hard decision for me."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Green also donated proceeds from the event to the union, according to The Boston Globe.

ROBERT L MAGINNIS: Iran War cost Republicans Congress. What will it cost America?

Democrats flipped both houses of Congress as voters rejected eight months of military action in the Middle East

Twenty years ago, American voters punished Republicans over an unpopular war in the Middle East. On Nov. 3, they did it again.

In 2006, it was Iraq. This time, it was Iran. Democrats captured both houses of Congress, flipping at least seven Senate seats, including Texas, Ohio, Kansas and Iowa. Vice President JD Vance put the blame squarely where President Donald Trump would rather not have it: on the war his administration launched eight months ago.

I remember the earlier debacle. As a Pentagon strategist during the run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion, I attended meetings with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and senior military leaders. I questioned whether the administration had adequately considered what would follow Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s overthrow.

HUGH HEWITT: THE GHOSTS OF 2006 ARE STIRRING — BUT WILL THEY CATCH THE GOP?

Now Trump faces a reckoning of his own. American forces have inflicted tremendous damage on Iran’s military. But military success does not guarantee strategic success, especially when the American people lose confidence in the mission.

Vance was blunt in his Nov. 4 assessment: "The reason we lost is the war." He dared anyone to argue that "losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it."

VANCE'S SCATHING IRAN WAR POSTMORTEM PUTS POTENTIAL 2028 GOP SHOWDOWN IN FOCUS: 'EVERYONE KNOWS WHY'

Trump acknowledged that the war contributed to Republican losses but defended his decision: "I would have done nothing differently." He added, "You can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon."

He is right about that. But the election raises a question his administration has yet to answer: What has eight months of fighting accomplished that will last?

TRUMP IS DISMANTLING IRAN’S WAR MACHINE, BUT AMERICA STILL NEEDS AN ENDGAME

I have consistently argued that a nuclear-armed Iran is unacceptable. In June 2025, I supported decisive action against Tehran’s deeply buried Fordow nuclear facility. Four days later, however, I challenged claims that Iran was only weeks away from producing a usable nuclear weapon. The intelligence did not publicly establish that conclusion.

Those positions were consistent. Iran presented a serious threat, but military action demanded honest intelligence, limited objectives and an understanding of the consequences.

Three days before Trump launched Operation Epic Fury on Feb. 28, I warned in Fox News Digital that the administration needed to establish the facts before committing America to another Middle Eastern conflict. I never doubted that American forces could overwhelm Iran’s military. I doubted that Washington had a realistic plan for what came afterward. Eight months later, Washington still lacks a convincing answer, and the political consequences have become impossible to ignore.

The Fox News Voter Poll explains much of the Republican defeat. More than a third of voters called the Iran war crucial to their House vote, and about 6 in 10 said attacking Iran was the wrong decision.

FOX NEWS POLL: 71% THINK TRUMP ADMINISTRATION LACKS PLAN TO END IRAN WAR

In a separate Fox News survey, nearly twice as many preferred ending military involvement to lower gasoline prices as favored renewed attacks to stop Iran's nuclear program. That finding should trouble the White House. Americans did not necessarily dismiss the Iranian threat. Many simply concluded that the costs of confronting it had become too high.

The costs are staggering. A Pentagon estimate submitted to Congress put war spending at $47.1 billion through Oct. 16, a figure that excludes repairs to damaged American bases. As I documented Nov. 4, investigations by the Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal exposed extensive damage to American installations throughout the Middle East. The Journal put the repair bill at $5 billion to $15 billion. Congress must determine what was lost, whether some losses were preventable and what restoring our defenses will cost.

COST OF IRAN WAR EXPLODES AS TOLL ON US AIR FLEET NEARLY DOUBLES

Then there is the opportunity cost.

In August, I examined the Pentagon's decision to divert the Japan-based USS George Washington from the Pacific to the Middle East. That decision reduced America's carrier presence in a region where China poses our greatest long-term military challenge. A carrier committed to confronting Iran is unavailable for operations in the western Pacific. That is a strategic tradeoff Washington cannot afford to overlook.

TRUMP IS WINNING EVERY BATTLE IN IRAN—AND RISKING THE WAR THAT MATTERS

China remains America’s principal strategic competitor, and every commitment to Iran must be weighed against that reality.

In 1974, as a young lieutenant in South Korea, I served in then-Lt. Col. Colin Powell’s battalion. Powell later championed a doctrine that stressed clear objectives, overwhelming force, public support and an exit strategy. In my July Fox column, I questioned whether Washington was honoring those principles in Iran. Tuesday’s election exposed the consequences of neglecting one of them: A president cannot sustain a costly war indefinitely without the support of the American people.

AMERICANS 'FRUSTRATED' ABOUT IRAN WAR GOING INTO MIDTERMS AS TRUMP ADMIN HAS DECISION TO MAKE: GOP LAWMAKER

Instead of the short campaign Trump promised, America has spent eight months cycling through strikes, ceasefires and negotiations that have produced no durable settlement.

Iran has suffered enormously. The opening strikes killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and devastated important military installations, yet the regime survives. Its nuclear ambitions remain unresolved and Tehran continues threatening commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Eight months of military punishment have weakened Iran, but they have not produced the durable settlement Americans were led to expect.

None of this counsels surrender to Tehran. America needs a strategy capable of achieving something more lasting than another round of destruction.

In January, Democrats can investigate military losses, demand testimony from Pentagon leaders, impose conditions on appropriations and challenge the administration’s authority to continue fighting. Trump retains considerable executive power, but congressional resistance could complicate nearly every national security initiative of his final two years.

Tehran is already celebrating. Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, declared that "Americans said NO TO WAR." That is precisely the conclusion Washington must not encourage. Beijing and Moscow will also be watching to see whether the Iran war has weakened America's ability to sustain its commitments elsewhere.

The day after the 2006 election, President George W. Bush announced that Rumsfeld would be replaced by Robert Gates. Two months later, he announced a new Iraq strategy built around a troop surge, and Gen. David Petraeus, whose counterinsurgency expertise I publicly supported, took command.

Trump may face similar pressure to replace Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth or other senior advisors. Their assessments of Iranian capabilities and protection of American forces deserve scrutiny. But new faces alone will accomplish little unless the president also rethinks the strategy itself.

The administration is already divided over what comes next. Axios reported that Vance and presidential envoy Steve Witkoff favor pursuing an agreement, while Hegseth and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu support renewed military action. Other senior advisors favor continued economic pressure. Trump must decide among those competing approaches, but only after establishing which one offers America a realistic prospect of lasting security.

Trump needs experienced advisors willing to challenge his assumptions, an honest accounting of the war’s costs and a fresh assessment of how closely American decisions should follow Israel’s preferences. Our interests overlap, but they are not identical.

Above all, he must decide what victory means. Is it preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, protecting regional shipping, negotiating a durable settlement or removing the regime? Those goals demand very different commitments, and Americans deserve to know which their president intends to pursue.

For now, Trump appears reluctant to resume major attacks while diplomatic efforts continue. That gives him an opportunity to reconsider his approach before another round of fighting imposes still greater costs. He should use it.

Twenty years ago, voters forced Washington to reconsider a costly war. They have delivered another warning.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

Iran’s rulers should not mistake the election for permission to threaten America. But Trump should not mistake battlefield superiority for a winning strategy.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Our troops have done what their country asked of them.
Uber removes driver after woman reports disturbing encounter during late-night ride

Passenger files police report in Chicago after driver speeds off when she asks to be let out

A young woman is warning other rideshare passengers after she says her Uber driver canceled a late-night trip while she was still inside the car.

Elyse Madrid, 22, said she and a friend ordered an Uber at about 2:30 a.m. on a recent Saturday to travel from Chicago's Belmont Cragin neighborhood to a karaoke bar, according to CBS News Chicago.

During the trip, Madrid noticed they did not appear to be heading in the right direction. Her concern grew when she said she watched the driver cancel the trip in the app while she and her friend were still sitting inside the vehicle.

WOMAN'S ROUTINE UBER RIDE TAKES ALARMING TURN AFTER HER DRIVER MISSES THE EXIT

Fox News Digital reached out to Madrid for comment.

Uber told Fox News Digital that the driver in question has been removed from the platform while the incident is being investigated.

"What has been reported is deeply distressing, and we have removed the driver's access to the Uber platform," an Uber spokesperson said. "We've reached out to police, and will support their investigation in any way we can."

Madrid said she confronted the driver. She said he blamed the cancellation on problems with his phone and at one point claimed his sister had canceled the trip.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER

She demanded that he pull over and eventually got out of the vehicle with her friend on Randolph Street near the Kennedy Expressway, according to the same outlet.

"When we got out the car, he sped off like in a panic," Madrid said.

She said the driver took off at about 40 to 50 mph. Madrid later filed a police report.

The experience was particularly troubling for Madrid, who said she had been assaulted in a cab the previous August.

Dillon Abend, the New Jersey-based founder and CEO of rideshare safety app 3rd-i, told Fox News Digital that passengers should speak up during a ride as soon as they notice something unusual.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE LIFESTYLE STORIES

"You do not want to stay silent," Abend said. "You do want to stand up for yourself and speak out."

If a driver cancels a trip while the passenger is still inside, Abend says a rider should stay calm, ask what happened and clearly state where the rider wants to be dropped off.

If the driver does not cooperate or if the passenger believes there is an immediate threat, he said people should call 911 and alert a trusted friend or family member.

Abend also recommended that people share a live location with someone and check that the driver, vehicle and license plate match the information shown in the rideshare app before even getting inside.

TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ

Unexpected changes in direction can also be a warning sign.

Abend said riders can use a separate mapping app to check whether they are still heading toward their destination if something seems off.

The incident comes about a month after another woman said her late-night Uber driver asked to stop at a parking garage to charge his electric vehicle before missing an exit, Fox News Digital previously reported.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

That passenger ultimately ended the trip and contacted police.

Uber told Fox News Digital at the time that it investigated the report and took appropriate action.

Pierce Brosnan backs 'Fantastic Beasts' star for next James Bond, predicts fans will be 'blown away'

The former 007 star told Vanity Fair he admires all the candidates but singled out Callum Turner as 'so strong'

Pierce Brosnan is throwing in his two cents into the conversation regarding who should be chosen to play the next James Bond, nearly 25 years after he last played the iconic character.

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the 73-year-old actor said he is following along with the public as "an audience member," adding he is just as "eager" as everyone else "to see who is going to play this epic role of cinematic history." He did, however, give one actor a special shoutout.

"All the men who are on the list now are actors I admire," he said. "Callum, Callum Turner is someone I’ve worked with, and he’s so strong. They all have a voice and a physique, and a presence on film. They all have longevity as actors, all of these young men."

While he doesn't know who will take on the iconic role next, Brosnan wishes whoever is chosen "the very best of life and strength and courage."

FORMER BOND GIRL SAYS NEXT 007 SHOULD BE 'ANOTHER GORGEOUS MAN' AS JAMES BOND DECISION

Brosnan first appeared as agent 007 in the 1995 movie, "GoldenEye," having taken over the reins from Timothy Dalton. He appeared in his final Bond movie in 2002 with the release of "Die Another Day," and was replaced by Daniel Craig in the 2006 movie, "Casino Royale."

Craig starred as James Bond in six films, before hanging up his badge following the release of "No Time to Die" in 2021.

"You know, it’s hard to tell who it would be, but I eagerly await to hear the news and the celebration of the next James Bond," Brosnan said.

In addition to a new actor playing Bond, the film is also getting a new director in Denis Villeneuve, who will be taking over the franchise, which excites Brosnan.

GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HERE

"I think we are going to be blown away. I really do. [Villeneuve] is such an iconoclastic director. His work is visionary, and his stealth and imagination of camera work and storytelling is so visceral and sensuous," he said. "It’s going to be great. It’s going to be truly magnificent."

When speaking with GQ about the mental and physical load of playing the character in September 2022, he nonchalantly explained, "You get chipped, you get nicked, you pull muscles, you get stitched up."

He also spoke to the outlet about his own approach to playing James Bond, saying he "was trying to walk a line between Roger [Moore] and Sean Connery," who played the role before him, and "not being shy about taking from their work."

"I allowed myself the grace to try and get the sense of humor that both men brought to the part," he said.

LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? His son Dylan, 29, is now also stepping into the entertainment industry, starring in an ad campaign with Brosnan for the 170th anniversary for Burberry.

PUT YOUR ENTERTAINMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST AND SEE HOW YOU SCORE

"I was with my son, Dylan Thomas Brosnan, which was just absolutely wonderful, and we had the most magnificent time," he said about working with his son. "I’d never seen so many people on a set in all my days for such an event. Everybody was very charming."

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Rory McIlroy defends Scottie Scheffler amid lazy criticisms about World No 1's non-global schedule

McIlroy says the world No. 1 shouldn't have to travel more because 'Scottie being Scottie is good enough for golf'

Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer on Earth and has been recognized as such for 176 consecutive weeks. Being the No. 1-ranked player in the world for more than three years running comes with a spotlight, and with a spotlight comes criticism. What makes Scheffler different than most who have ever been in his position is that he doesn't care about the spotlight, not even a little bit.

Scheffler boasts about the fact that golf does not define him and that the game falls well below both his faith and young family on the list of most important things in his life. If you were to ask either a golf fan or even his peers to describe Scheffler, most would say he's a very normal person who loves spending time with his family, who also happens to be a generational talent with a golf club in his hand.

These circumstances, coupled with his style of play where he'll ball-strike his opponents to death, have led to his biggest criticism being that he is simply 'boring.' In recent months, however, some of the criticism's focus has turned to his playing schedule.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER SHARES A PERFECTLY IMPERFECT ASSESSMENT OF WORK-LIFE BALANCE, THE CHALLENGES OF FATHERHOOD

In September, Golf Monthly published a column claiming that Scheffler has an obligation to travel the world and be a "global ambassador" for the game as the world No. 1.

"One thing he absolutely should be criticised for, though, is the fact he’s seemingly allergic to leaving America for more than a fortnight each year," the column stated, after noting that he is not trying to be someone he isn't.

The 30-year-old made 20 starts during the 2026 PGA Tour season, with just the Scottish Open and Open Championship taking place outside of the United States. He won three times, earning just shy of $31 million.

The timing of the story coming in the fall, with Scheffler already in the midst of his "offseason," led to a discussion about whether or not he did have a responsibility to play all around the world, and it has continued all the way into November.

RORY MCILROY FIRES BACK AT KEVIN KISNER AFTER 'DOGS---' COMMENT ABOUT GROWING THE GAME

The topic has even reached Rory McIlroy's orbit, and the six-time major champion believes anyone saying Scheffler needs to travel the world more is wrong.

"People have their own decisions to make and their own lives, and I’ve seen criticism of Scottie Scheffler because Scottie doesn’t play — but that’s his decision," McIlroy said ahead of this week's Abu Dhabi Aldar Golf Championship. "If he doesn’t want to, that’s his prerogative. I think Scottie being Scottie is good enough for the world of golf, and he doesn’t need to travel all over the world because he’s got a young family, and that doesn’t bring value to his life; where I like travel, it’s all I’ve known."

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

It's straightforward, which is extremely rare in today's world, but Scheffler shouldn't be criticized for not wanting to travel the world to play a game, simply because he's the best at that game.

Scheffler has earned the right to control every single aspect of his schedule as the No. 1-ranked player in the world for three years running. Those on the other side of the argument would also have to side with the idea that the PGA Tour calendar isn't good enough, which is objectively ridiculous.

Scheffler is an American who enjoys playing, and winning, in America and prioritizes sleeping in his own home under the same roof as his family as much as he possibly can.

SIGN UP FOR THE DAILY OUTKICK NEWSLETTER

To criticize any athlete for that, let alone the best on planet Earth at their respective sport, is just a poor attempt at making something out of nothing.

Gracie Hunt's bachelorette weekend has arrived, our favorite rower spends time in her bikini & down goes No 1

The Chiefs heiress shared her 'coastal cowgirl' bride-to-be bikini ahead of her wedding to Derek Green

For those keeping score at home, we're officially one step closer to Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt tying the knot. This weekend is her bachelorette party weekend. That means themes, that means outfits, and that means bikinis.

If you're wondering, as I was, why this bachelorette party was taking place this weekend and didn’t go down during the bye week in October, I don’t know the official reason, but I did check their schedule.

The New York Jets are visiting Arrowhead on Sunday. That's not a game you want to overlook by any means, but it's also one where the top of the franchise doesn't have to be locked in entirely leading up to kickoff.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

Let's not forget Hunt's marriage was going to have a football component to it either way, so long as she's the Chiefs heiress. But there's the added football aspect as franchise royalty comes together when she walks down the aisle.

She is, after all, engaged to Derek Green, the son of former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green. I wouldn’t count her out from showing up at Sunday's game, even after her bachelorette party weekend.

Here's the "coastal cowgirl" in her bride-to-be bikini.

CLICK HERE FOR COVERAGE FROM OUTKICK OUTDOORS

Oh no, Ohio State lost again

What a Saturday of college football. I was up late, as I normally am, and decided to see if West Virginia was going to be able to upset No. 15 Texas Tech. They came close, as both teams turned off the defense in the first half.

The final score ended up being 53-48 with the Red Raiders surviving the shootout and the truth of the matter is, I made it to the fourth quarter before falling asleep on the couch. But what I did watch was magic.

It was the perfect ending to a day that saw a kick-six, a carousel huddle, a successful fake punt and fake field goal. Oh, and the curse of being No. 1 this season continued as Miami lost on the road to No. 11 Notre Dame.

That's four different No. 1-ranked teams now that have lost. That's not all the fun that was had either. Not even close. If you're a Lane Kiffin hater, watching LSU get dominated at home was probably enjoyable.

No. 7 Texas being able to hold off No. 18 Missouri was fun, if you're into the Longhorns staying in the mix. But by far my favorite game on Saturday was in the Big Ten.

No, it wasn't Penn State going out to Washington and winning a game. It wasn’t Michigan's truly pathetic performance either. It was No. 12 Ohio State being dragged to three losses by No. 23 Oregon.

If it had to be Oregon that stomped out any hope for the Buckeyes of getting a shot at a National Championship, then so be it. They dominated this game. Credit to the Ducks for going on the road and putting Ohio State's season to rest.

At 12, Ohio State was still ranked too high.

It was a light week for emails, but the ones I did receive are, let's say, interesting

- Vin sent in "Kate Upton article Tom Brady inside scoop":

Glad Kate Upton got praise!

Tom Brady always with models as we know. Come back change it up win on his own.

- Leonardo writes:

Hello.

I read an article from 2025 about Marie Dee and recall other things in news as she was becoming known.

I’m confused about the information now.

I don’t need to know all about her but one Search states she’s still married and another states she was never married and recently dated a Soccer player.

I’m hoping you might know what’s real or have another interview to do with her at some point?

I honestly like knowing she’s from Texas and maybe still living in Texas and she classified herself as

"I consider myself a wholesome porn star; I would never sleep with another man," she revealed. "I essentially just make content with my husband and maybe one or two of my girlfriends."

Thank You.

SeanJo

If I'm being honest here, the only part I really understand from these two emails is the Kate Upton recognition.
The cast of 'Madden' hits the red carpet to talk about whether they've chowed down on turducken

Sienna Miller was the only cast member to actually eat the Thanksgiving creation made famous by John Madden

The new movie "Madden" is about to take the world by storm — it remains to be seen if that's because it's good or because ... well, that it's not — and so the cast of it has been hit with the biggest John Madden-related question there is.

Have you ever had a turducken?

If you're unaware of what a turducken is (where the hell have you been), it's the unholy Thanksgiving sin against nature that is a chicken stuffed inside a duck, which is, in turn, crammed inside of a turkey that Madden made popular.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

I've never had one myself. Not because I'm against it — I'm staunchly pro-turducken — but I've simply never been given he chance to score a poultry hat trick.

Maybe that's because I never got to be in a movie about John Madden, patron saint of turducken, as these folks have.

First we've got Christian Bale, who plays Al Davis in the movie. When he's not berating people on set, he's preaching the finer points of food safety. Probably smart to dive into the world of turducken with a movie prop that has been sitting out for more than half the day.

Next was Nicolas Cage, who plays John Madden himself (no, seriously). He didn't answer the question, but said he did get a lot of turducken on his hand chopping one up the way Madden used to. I'm sure he has eaten weirder foods crammed inside of each other before, so a turducken is probably not a big deal to him.

I also wouldn't be shocked if, to get into character, he ate nothing but turducken for several weeks.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman was at the film's premiere and said that he has never had it, but always wanted one of the ones Madden mangled with his bare hands every Thanksgiving.

Can't blame him. That's like the wagyu beef of turducken.

And, finally, we have the lovely Sienna Miller, who plays Carol Sagal Davis, and finally we have a cast member who has actually eaten turducken. She said that she and co-star Kathryn Hahn (who plays Virginia Madden) helped themselves to some backup turducken.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

I'm going to lie, this has got me wanting to Frankenstein myself a sick-legged Thanksgiving freak of nature this year, just to give it a shot.

Browns' Shedeur Sanders gets hype video for first start of the season and social media cannot handle it

Todd Monken announced Sanders will start Sunday against the Saints with Watson listed as questionable

The Shedeur Sanders era in Cleveland is starting (again), and there may not be anyone more fired up about it than Sanders and his social media team.

With starter Deshaun Watson questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, head coach Todd Monken announced that Sanders — who started seven games in his rookie campaign last year — will get the nod.

And you know what that means? It's time for a Shedeur Sanders hype video!

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

Nothing wrong with hyping yourself up ... but this has to be the first time a backup quarterback has produced his own.

Who knows whether this was Sanders' call or if his social media team went rogue and didn't read the room.

It's good you're fired up, but do you know what sentence has never been uttered?: "Oh, hell yeah; the backup is playing!"

Also, I really want to know how long they've been sitting on that video, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to unleash it.

The reaction on social media was a combination of perplexity and befuddlement.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE.
Cowboys star Brandon Aubrey details journey from soccer player to software engineer to Pro Bowl kicker

Aubrey played in Major League Soccer and the USL before leaving professional soccer for a desk job

Brandon Aubrey has become one of the best kickers in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, but his road to stardom has been far from linear.

Aubrey, 31, first played professional soccer in Major League Soccer (MLS) and then the United Soccer League (USL) before hanging up the spikes.

"I wasn't ready to retire from soccer, but when I looked around at the environment, I didn't perform as well as I needed to stick on a roster and I got cut a couple of times. And at that point, there wasn't a whole lot of money in soccer at the second tier. So, I slipped from the MLS into the USL," Aubrey told OutKick in a recent interview.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

"I had to really take a long, hard look at it, see if it was worth pursuing, and I could make triple the money I was making in that league as a software engineer, which my degree was in."

Aubrey said he had just gotten married to his wife, Jenn, and didn’t want to set his family back , so into software engineering he went. However, working as a software engineer wasn’t very fun for Aubrey.

Aubrey said that Jenn had a good, stable job and pushed him to pursue a career as an NFL kicker.

"With that support and a lot of hard work and commitment we were able to shift over towards being a kicker, and got a job in the USFL and eventually got noticed at the NFL level and was able to get a job here," Aubrey said.

Aubrey is in his fourth season with the Cowboys and has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons. He has made 127 of his 146 field-goal attempts with a long of 65 yards, while nailing 146 of 151 extra points.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

One of his 127 made field goals stands out more than the rest.

The New York Giants had gone up 37-34 in Week 2 of the 2025 season with just 25 seconds left in the game. It looked like the Cowboys were going to go 0-2 to start the year.

"They just put the dagger in us where they scored a long touchdown. to Nabers and he did the night-night celebration," Aubrey said. "We had like 12 seconds to go get 10 yards, got it and then we were in field-goal position and that's still a pretty coin-flippy field goal, maybe even less than a coin flip for historical statistics."

While a 64-yard field goal to tie the game might seem like less than a coin flip for Aubrey, he made it look easy. He nailed the kick to force overtime.

"To be able to go and hit that one through the uprights was awesome," Aubrey said.

However, his day wasn’t done there. Aubrey made a 46-yard field goal as the clock expired in overtime to give the Cowboys a thrilling 40-37 win.

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

SHIFT HAPPENS

In the chaos of life, and in Aubrey’s case, multiple career changes, sometimes your smile can suffer. The Pro Bowl kicker said he didn’t take good care of his smile as an adult and credited Invisalign for helping him restore his confidence.

"If you smile, I think that shows a lot of your personality. And for me, I put a lot of time and effort into my smile as a as a young kid. I guess I could say my parents put that time and effort into it and it was in a good spot and then shift happens. I didn't take good enough care of it as a college athlete and a young adult and my smile shifted as well. I think Invisalign clear liners are a fantastic fit for me as I try to invest in my smile, my overall health, my confidence," Aubrey, who spoke on behalf of Invisalign, said.

"You look good, you feel good, you play good."

ELAINE PARKER: Democrat win is a wake-up call for Republicans, not a vote for socialism

Unaffordable housing, healthcare costs and tariffs all eroded the GOP's historic 2024 gains

The American people sent a clear message in Tuesday's midterm elections. But Democrats would be making a serious mistake if they interpreted their victories as an endorsement of socialism.

Voters weren't demanding bigger government. They wanted relief from the affordability crisis.

Republicans shouldn't dismiss the results as a typical midterm setback either. The coalition that delivered President Donald Trump the White House and Republican control of Congress in 2024 expected results.

MEHEK COOKE: REPUBLICANS FAILED THE AFFORDABILITY TEST. THIS IS HOW TO WIN VOTERS BACK

The voters who hired Republicans to fix the affordability crisis are now holding them accountable for failing to deliver.

Americans were tired of inflation, unaffordable housing and watching their paychecks buy less. They believed Republicans would make their lives better.

FOX NEWS POLL: SQUEEZED BY COSTS, FRUSTRATED VOTERS TURN TO THE DEMOCRATS

But somewhere between winning and governing, Republicans lost control of that message.

Trump had a legitimate argument for tariffs: rebuilding American manufacturing and bringing back jobs lost under decades of trade policies, including NAFTA, signed by President Bill Clinton. But Republicans never adequately explained the long-term benefits. Voters heard about tariffs while worrying about higher prices.

The same communications failure plagued the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Republicans made lower individual tax rates permanent, restored immediate expensing for qualifying business investments and prevented trillions in scheduled tax increases. Yet how many Americans could explain what that legislation actually did for them?

What good is passing legislation that helps working families and small businesses if you can't explain how it makes their lives better?

Healthcare was another squandered opportunity.

When enhanced COVID-19-era Obamacare subsidies expired, Republicans could have offered a serious affordability alternative built around price transparency, competition and consumer choice. Instead, they surrendered the conversation.

Healthcare is part of the affordability crisis. Families don't separate their mortgage, groceries, insurance premiums and deductibles into political categories. It all comes from the same paycheck.

Perhaps the biggest warning came from Hispanic voters.

Trump made historic gains in 2024 by speaking to their economic aspirations, entrepreneurial spirit and desire for safe communities.

Following Trump's 2024 victory, his pollster, John McLaughlin, observed that Republicans had rented the Hispanic vote and warned they needed to work to keep it.

Unfortunately, they acted as though they owned it.

FLORIDA CONGRESSMAN DIAGNOSES GOP'S BLUE TSUNAMI LOSSES: 'WE FAILED TO MAKE THEM THINK WE CARED ABOUT THEM'

Economic frustration drove much of the erosion in support, but immigration enforcement contributed. Trump promised to secure the border and prioritize dangerous criminals. Instead, broader enforcement created fear in Hispanic communities, including among those who supported stronger border security.

Republicans worked hard to win those voters in 2024 and then seemingly forgot what brought them into the Republican column. They failed to maintain that trust, much less expand it.

My home state of Florida should be a wake-up call.

Republicans can celebrate electing Byron Donalds as Florida's first Black governor and holding major statewide offices. But Donalds narrowly defeated David Jolly despite a roughly 1.5-million Republican voter-registration advantage.

That advantage provided a cushion against the national Democratic swing, not immunity from it. Those margins should concern Republican leaders.

Then there's the war with Iran.

Whatever the administration's strategic justification, it failed to make a compelling case to Americans already struggling financially. Voters saw higher gasoline prices without a clearly articulated reason for the conflict.

None of this gives Democrats a mandate to push socialist policies.

A vote against Republican performance isn't necessarily a vote for higher taxes, more government spending or expanded bureaucracy. Many of these same voters supported Trump just two years ago because they wanted a different economic direction.

Democrats have earned an opportunity to address affordability, not a blank check for an ideological agenda.

Republicans, meanwhile, need to reconnect their policies to the people they're supposed to serve. Lower taxes, stronger small businesses, affordable healthcare and greater economic opportunity remain a compelling agenda. But voters need to see and feel the benefits.

Tuesday's election was not a mandate for socialism. It was a demand for affordability, accountability and results.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

Americans did not suddenly change what they wanted.
High school athlete cursed out by Seattle Storm owner runs against trans athlete at state championship

The high school junior who helped pass Initiative 638 finished the 5K in pain as Washington's new law nears effect

It was a cross-country course filled with twists, turns, hills and switchbacks. There was nothing round about it. But for Eastmont High junior Ahnaleigh Wilson, this was a case of things coming full circle.

More than two years ago, Wilson finished second to a trans athlete in a Junior Olympic track race. That set her on a path of speaking out against biological boys competing in girls' sports. If her name looks familiar, it's because she's the one Seattle Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton cursed out at a WNBA game in July for holding a sign reading, "Thank You Sophie (Cunningham) For Speaking Up For Girls!"

It brought a high school girl to tears, but as you'll learn, it takes a lot more than that to stop Ahnaleigh.

SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM FAN WHO WAS CONFRONTED BY STORM CO-OWNER OPENS UP ON INCIDENT AND FACING TRANS ATHLETES

Since Keaton's tirade, quite a bit has happened in the world of Washington state transgender athletes. For the last month and a half, a male runner from Camas High who switched to the girls team midseason has dominated the headlines. After opening the season 76th in a boys' JV race, he crossed over to win a varsity girls' meet and knock female runners out of regional and state qualifying spots.

Well, guess who was lined up against him in Saturday's 4A girls state finals at Sun Willows Golf Course? That's right — one Ahnaleigh Wilson.

Wilson racing was no guarantee. Not just because she'd considered taking a stand against having to compete against a boy, but because she had a bone stress injury in her right fibula she feared might develop into a fracture. Her parents encouraged her not for health reasons. She didn't listen.

"I worked really hard this season, and I mean, I like running. So I wanted to run. I wanted to try at least," Wilson said.

It might have been good social-media material for activists had Wilson walked off in protest, but that wasn't going to happen. Plus, she'd already done enough in that department — regularly speaking in defense of girls and women despite her relatively shy nature.

She'd survived all the emotional abuse her detractors had thrown her way. Saturday was about surviving the physical.

BIOLOGICAL MALE COMPETING IN GIRLS' CROSS-COUNTRY RACE DENIES ANOTHER RUNNER AND HER TEAM A TRIP TO STATE

A healthy Wilson likely would have finished somewhere in the top third of Saturday's 155-girl field. Her usual time of 19:30 would have been good for 49th place. But this was not a healthy Wilson. This was a high school junior slogging through a 5000-meter course with searing pain every other step.

Ahnaleigh said she thought about quitting multiple times mid-race. But the cheers from the crowd kept her going. And we aren't talking about the ones from her parents, friends or coaches. We're talking about random supporters who knew her name because of everything she'd fought for.

"There were a few times I didn't know if I was going to finish, and I heard people I didn't recognize their voices, but there were people cheering for me, and that was really cool," she said.

Wilson's final time? 22:58.30 — which placed her 150th. The Camas male, meanwhile, finished 23rd, which wasn't fast enough to put him on the podium reserved for the top 16 runners.

This was his first race since Tuesday's election, when Washington voters decisively passed Initiative 638, which will enforce the separation of biological boys and girls in K-12 sports once it takes effect. And even though many runners at Saturday's race were relieved the measure got through, they were still motivated to outrun the boy in the girls race.

One was Skyview High runner Charlie Garrett, who, alongside teammate Sierra Retzlaff, walked off the start line in protest of the Camas runner last month. She'd heard that the boy told his teammates that his goal was to beat them every time since that act, and while he was successful in doing so Saturday (Garrett and Retzlaff finished 39th and 92nd, respectively), Garrett took solace in the fact that she wouldn't have to face him again.

WASHINGTON HS GIRLS BLAST MALE ATHLETE PARTICIPATING IN TRACK MEET: 'DON'T THINK THAT THAT'S RIGHT OR FAIR'

"I guess the motivation (to beat him) is just that I don't want my spot to be taken away by someone who shouldn't be in my race. That's my main motivation" said Garrett, a junior. "I didn't do it this season — and I won't have to this season. But I mean, me and my mom are very competitive people, so I think it just runs in the blood to try and do better than the person who's causing us stress."

Echoing that sentiment was Kamiakin High sophomore Lauren Baumann.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!

"My goal was to beat the guy from Camas because I don't think he should be racing in a girls race," said Baumann, who finished 11 spots behind him. "When he passed me at the 800 and I tried to stay with him but couldn't, it made me feel really really mad and just that I couldn't do anything to stop it. But I'm glad that he won't be able to run next year."

I-638 could go into effect as soon as December 3, although there may be legal challenges delaying its implementation. But girls such as Wilson, Garrett and Retzlaff — all of whom played critical roles in getting it passed — are taking their metaphorical victory laps.

That said, perhaps nobody was as emotional Saturday as Ahnaleigh's mom, Elizabeth, who broke down in tears after her daughter's race.

"I can't believe she went out and did that with a bone stress...that's just heart," Elizabeth said. "She started this journey racing a boy, and she ended it, and hopefully this will be the last time a boy competes against girls."

OUTKICK IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE FOX NEWS APP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

X-rays will reveal whether Ahnaleigh — who was limping after the race — has a stress fracture. But she proved something Saturday. Whether it's a state cross country race or a ballot initiative — no matter how painful, she is going to finish what she started.

Gulf War veteran left homeless after heart surgery details how he rebuilt his life from 'square one'

Fox Corporation teams up with USVETS for sixth annual 'Make Camo Your Cause' campaign to help end veteran homelessness

Gulf War veteran Thomas Garrett Jr. returned home to celebratory parades, but years later, he found himself homeless after undergoing heart surgery.

Garrett’s efforts to rebuild his life after becoming homeless are highlighted in Fox Corporation’s sixth annual "Make Camo Your Cause" campaign with U.S.VETS, a nationwide initiative ahead of Veterans Day aimed at helping end veteran homelessness.

"The homecoming was a phenomenal event," Garrett said Saturday on "Fox News Live."

"I became homeless after having heart surgery. So that changed everything about my dynamic in life," he added.

AMERICA'S WOUNDED, STRUGGLING VETERANS GET BRAND-NEW HOMES BUILT BY FLORIDA TEENS

U.S.VETS, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness, provides housing, food and career help to service members in need. According to the organization, it assists more than 20,000 veterans and their families each year. To date, U.S.VETS has served over 500,000 meals, provided 418,000 nights of shelter and placed 3,000 veterans into permanent housing.

Quandrea Patterson, executive director of U.S.VETS, explained that Garrett’s experience reflects a broader challenge facing veterans as they transition from military to civilian life.

NEW YORK JETS OWNER WOODY JOHNSON TO BE HONORED AT TUNNEL TO TOWERS GALA FOR DECADE-LONG PARTNERSHIP

"A lot of times when veterans are in service, they're told, and they know exactly what to do because they're mission-focused," Patterson said. "And then during that transition from active service to civilian service or veteran status, a lot of the information, a lot of the things to expect are unknown."

The uncertainty surrounding that transition can leave veterans vulnerable to homelessness, Patterson said.

For Garrett, U.S.VETS offered the structure and support he needed to move forward.

"U.S.VETS is a new starting point for veterans," Garrett said. "It's a square one to where you can build up your life the way the veteran themselves need it. It gives us good structure.
Blue Angels pilot removed from team for 'failing to uphold' standards, Navy says

Maj Scott Laux will miss the remainder of the season's performances

A Blue Angels pilot was removed from the Navy’s flight demonstration team for "failing to uphold" its standards, leaving squadron with a five-jet show on Friday.

The dismissal comes just months after a controversial low Pensacola Beach flyover in July that sent debris flying, raising concern for public safety.

Maj. Scott Laux, a second-year member of the elite team, was identified as Blue Angel No. 6. The Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) confirmed his removal to the Pensacola News Journal, saying the decision was announced Friday before the season finale at home in Pensacola.

NAVY SAYS NO REPRIMANDS OR FIRINGS AFTER BLUE ANGELS’ LOW PASS OVER BEACHGOERS

"Blue Angel #6 was removed from the team for failing to uphold the standards expected of members of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron and will not participate in the team’s remaining performance this season," Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) public affairs office wrote in a statement Friday.

When reached for comment, CNATRA noted Sunday the removal came Nov. 3.

Laux previously defended the team’s low-flying displays after the July flyover over Pensacola Beach sent tents, beach chairs and umbrellas flying as sand swept across the shoreline.

"We appreciate the trust in support and it’s our privilege to be able to perform in that way," Laux told Rolling with Madrina after the incident. "We’re gonna keep bringing the heat and continue doing it safely."

VIRAL VIDEO OF JETS BUZZING DHL STADIUM IN CAPE TOWN PROMPTS AVIATION SAFETY INVESTIGATION

Navy and War Department leaders had previously defended the low flyovers.

"Flight debrief complete. No reprimands. No firings. No problem," acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao wrote on X in July. "That’s the sound of Freedom! Semper fi and Hooyah."

War Secretary Pete Hegseth had vowed more support.

"The flyovers will continue until morale improves," Hegseth wrote on X.

The White House posted a photo meme of the controversial flyover from its official X account.

"It's okay to love America," the post read.

HEGSETH STEPS IN TO ‘FIX’ SITUATION AFTER APACHE PILOTS SUSPENDED FOR ‘SALUTE FROM THE SHORES’ FLYOVER

The Navy has not said when Laux was dismissed or what conduct prompted the decision. His photo and biography are no longer featured on the Blue Angels’ website's team page.

Laux was absent from the squadron’s NAS Pensacola Homecoming Air Show on Friday and Saturday, where the team performed with five jets instead of its usual six. Laux's role was the opposing solo, which flies with lead solo #5 in the head-on crossing passes and mirror-image maneuvers that fill the gaps between the four-jet Diamond’s routines.

The routines were adjusted to account for the missing jet, according to reports.

The 2026 narrator, Lt. Cmdr. Ronny Hafeza, might replace Laux on the 2027 team. The Blue Angels officers serve three-year terms, one as a narrator as Laux did.

Laux, a native of Chantilly, Va., graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2012 with a degree in Chinese and earned his wings in 2015, according to his bio, which as of Sunday morning could still be accessed on the site despite no longer being listed with the rest of the team. He flew F/A-18 Hornets with Marine Corps squadrons, deployed to Japan and aboard the USS Nimitz and supported three operations during the 2020 carrier deployment: Resolute Support, Inherent Resolve and Octave Quartz.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

He later transitioned to the F-35C Lightning II and served as an instructor pilot before joining the Blue Angels in September 2024. Before becoming Blue Angels #6, he served as the show's narrator.

Laux has more than 1,300 flight hours and 169 aircraft carrier landings. His awards include two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and multiple unit awards.

DAVID MARCUS: How Ashley Moody survived the blue tsunami and emerged as a GOP star

Florida senator defied national trends as GOP lost between 7 and 9 Senate seats across the country

Even in the face of massive losses in last week’s Midterm elections, Republicans had a few winners, and none may have longer-lasting effects than Sen. Ashley Moody of Florida who defied national trends for a GOP hold in the Sunshine State.

Going into Tuesday’s contests, holding a Senate seat in Florida may have seemed like the least Republicans could do, but it turned out to be a night where the least they could do was the most they did, and those who did win should be learned from.

"I fought tooth and nail this election to make sure Floridians know that what we have here is special, and it can be dismantled in one cycle," Moody told Fox News Digital in the wake of the blue tsunami, and while that message faltered in states like Texas, in Florida it stuck.

FLORIDA CONGRESSMAN DIAGNOSES GOP'S BLUE TSUNAMI LOSSES: 'WE FAILED TO MAKE THEM THINK WE CARED ABOUT THEM'

Moody said her campaign held to two basic messages.

"Talking to folks on the ground and meeting them where they were was vital, and I heard many people from all political backgrounds present a consistent message – they want a government that is accountable and a government that protects their pursuit of the American Dream. I put that front and center in my campaign and Floridians backed me for it."

Accountability and the American dream: These are two very good places to start as the GOP licks its wounds and seeks a path back to power on Capitol Hill, having squandered both houses in this cycle.

DESANTIS CALLS GOP MIDTERM LOSSES 'EXTINCTION-LEVEL EVENT' — AND EXPLAINS WHY FLORIDA SURVIVED

Many have been tempted to dismiss Moody’s victory by saying, "but it's red Florida." But red Texas turned bluer than the Gulf of America. So no, Florida did not carry Ashley Moody. Ashley Moody helped carry Florida.

Moody was twice elected statewide as attorney general, first in 2018 by low single digits, then in 2022 by a whopping 21% of the vote, and unlike Ken Paxton, the Texas AG who lost his Senate bid last week, Moody did not have a long resume of scandal to bog her down.

Moody also outperformed South Carolina Sen. Darline Graham, who took over the seat of her late brother Lindsey Graham after he died earlier this year, a decision driven by President Donald Trump that many believe cost Republicans the Palmetto State seat.

Now, in the new Congress, Republicans will end up having lost between seven and nine seats. What this means for Moody is a fast track to seniority. With GOP Senate stalwarts like John Cornyn of Texas and Susan Collins of Maine having lost this cycle, Moody has jumped significantly ahead in line.

MASSIVE UPSET: ANDREWS DOWNS TRUMP-BACKED GRAHAM IN RUBY-RED SOUTH CAROLINA

Although Moody is just as much responsible for Republican success in Florida – which also included the election of Rep. Byron Donalds as governor – as Republican success in Florida is for Moody, one would be remiss not to mention current Gov. Ron DeSantis, the architect of the so-called "free state of Florida."

DeSantis has built a GOP brand in Florida that is laser focused on the two issues Moody credited for her victory, government accountability and saving the American dream for the next generation.

DeSantis made his state a beacon for conservatives across America who came in droves from places like New York City. Now, it may become a lighthouse, guiding a national Republican Party adrift at sea back to the shores of electoral victory.

Of the GOP wipeout, DeSantis said, "A lot of our voters who stayed home, they stayed home because they were frustrated with the lack of productivity from Republicans in the House and Senate. That’s just a fact. They were promised big things, and they didn’t deliver it."

This is noticeably at odds with Vice President JD Vance’s theory of the loss, which states that GOP voters did in fact come out, but voted for Democrats, mainly because of the war in Iran and our nation’s relationship with Israel.

Figuring out which of these theories is true, or at least dominant, is the first order of business for Republicans looking to regroup, and it is worth noting that while the GOP lost Vance’s old Senate seat in Ohio, Moody held Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s Florida seat intact.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Vance and DeSantis may get the chance to pitch their visions of the GOP to Americans over the next two years in a presidential primary race, but in the meantime, the biggest Republican winner of the midterm debacle is Ashley Moody, who suddenly looks like a force in American politics that we should all get used to.

CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAVID MARCUS

Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers meet in a matchup of two surprisingly struggling NFL teams

Herbert has five touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season as the Chargers prepare to face struggling Houston

Being an NFL schedule maker can’t possibly be an easy job. Obviously, the logistics will be a challenge no matter what season you’re trying to prepare. Stadiums are used for a lot of things, and planning for events and games can’t be easy. Sometimes they provide flex schedule games so that they can put bigger and better games in prime spots.

However, things also sometimes happen when two expectedly good teams end up bad, like today’s game between the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Houston Texans come into this game with a 2-5 record, but if you’re going to pick either of these two teams to make the postseason, it is hard to pick against Houston. The Texans came in with a defense that was expected to be one of the best in the league. Houston has a young defense, but they are allowing 24.3 points per game. Their passing defense has been awful this season, allowing 244.0 yards per game. To make it even worse, they’ve faced about half good and half bad quarterbacks.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGE

Sure, they faced Josh Allen and Joe Burrow in the first two weeks. They also faced Dak Prescott in Week 4 of the season. However, they’ve also faced Daniel Jones, Cam Ward, and JJ McCarthy. They played Trevor Lawrence in London as well. It just doesn’t seem to add up why they are struggling so much this season. The offense isn’t giving them much to work with. They have the fourth-worst running game in football, but they have one of the best passing offenses.

The Los Angeles Chargers are not going to make the postseason, and honestly, they are probably closer to blowing up the team than they are to anything else. This has been the biggest disaster, and, arguably, the most confusing team of the entire season. The Chargers are 0-7 to start the season, and even a Bye Week didn’t help them get ready enough for last week. Their offense has been terrible; their defense hasn’t been impressive.

Justin Herbert, a guy that people expected to be among the best in the league with new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniels, has regressed significantly. Herbert has five touchdown passes and 10 interceptions this season. He hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in the past two games, but has completed three passes to the other team. The Chargers are going on 10 straight quarters without a touchdown. They’ve only scored a touchdown in one of the past 12 quarters they’ve played.
