Coast Guard finds debris field off Nantucket after Boston-bound medevac plane vanishes with 6 on board

U.S. Coast Guard search crews located a debris field off the Nantucket coast that has been confirmed to be associated with a medevac flight with six people on board that disappeared Saturday morning while en route to Boston from Bermuda.

Crews are continuing to search for potential survivors, and the Coast Guard cutter William Sparling will continue search efforts throughout the night. The Coast Guard said it would hold a news conference Sunday morning.

Authorities are searching for the Gulfstream G100, a twin-engine, midsize jet, off Nantucket. Both air and surface crews have been deployed to the area, according to the Coast Guard Northeast District.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported losing contact with the aircraft early Saturday, the Coast Guard said.

Earlier Saturday, the FAA issued a statement that said it is "coordinating with the Rescue Coordination Center and the U.S. Coast Guard to locate the aircraft."

According to data from FlightAware, the plane took off from Bermuda L. F. Wade International Airport at 11:41 p.m. ET.

The FAA told Fox News Digital it issued a Search and Rescue Alert Notice at about 1:20 a.m. ET.

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), which operates the state's three major airports, confirmed that the aircraft did not arrive at Boston Logan International Airport as scheduled.

"Our thoughts are with those on board and their loved ones as the search continues," the agency said.

The Canadian-registered aircraft is owned by Latitude Air Ambulance, the company confirmed to Fox News Digital, adding that it was a medevac flight.

Two Canadian pilots, two medical workers, one patient and a patient's companion were on board.

Latitude Air Ambulance is a medical transport company that brings patients home from around the world when they require specialized care.

Latitude Air Ambulance said the flight was supposed to take about two hours.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) told Fox News Digital that it is currently gathering information and declined to provide an update on the situation.

"My thoughts are with the six people aboard the missing air ambulance traveling from Bermuda to Boston, and their families," Bermuda's Premier David Burt said in a statement. "Government has contacted the family and US search and rescue authorities. We are praying that everyone will be found safe."

The plane plummeted from 24,000 feet to 11,000 feet in just three minutes at around 1 a.m., according to data from FlightAware.

Skyport, the company that manages the airport in Bermuda, confirmed that a "Canadian-registered air ambulance departed L. F. Wade International Airport for Boston at approximately 12:41 am on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with six souls on board, including four crew members and two passengers."

"The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has advised that air traffic controllers lost contact with the aircraft off the coast of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, and a search is currently underway. Skyport has no further information to provide at this time," the company added.

"This aircraft was dealt a dire one-two punch: a critical safety in-flight problem, followed almost immediately by a perilous weather event and an 11,000-foot plunge," former U.S. Department of Transportation Inspector General Mary Schiavo said in analysis shared with Fox News Digital.

As of Saturday afternoon, the Coast Guard has deployed a HC-130 Hercules crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, New Jersey; a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod; a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Brant Point, Massachusetts; and Coast Guard Cutter William Sparling, a Boston-based Fast Response Cutter.

Austin Wells turned the New York Yankees’ only hit into their most painful out.

With two outs in the eighth inning and the Yankees trailing by a run, Wells broke up Drew Rasmussen’s no-hit bid with a double down the right-field line. But the catcher tried to stretch the hit into a triple and was easily thrown out, ending New York’s best scoring opportunity in a 1-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Saturday night.

Rays right fielder Victor Mesa Jr. retrieved the ball and threw to shortstop Taylor Walls, whose relay reached third baseman Junior Caminero well ahead of Wells.

The out prevented Ryan McMahon from coming to the plate with the potential tying run in scoring position and allowed Rasmussen to walk off the mound having completed eight scoreless innings.

Rasmussen limited the Yankees to one hit and two walks while striking out 10 on 101 pitches. He once again tormented a New York lineup he nearly no-hit during Tampa Bay’s division-clinching victory at Yankee Stadium late in the regular season.

Bryan Baker replaced Rasmussen for the ninth and made quick work of the Yankees. Baker struck out pinch hitter Giancarlo Stanton and Ben Rice before getting Cody Bellinger to ground out, completing the combined one-hitter and giving Tampa Bay a 1-0 series lead.

Jonathan Aranda provided the game’s only run when he drove a Gerrit Cole pitch 417 feet to right-center field in the third inning.

Cole kept the Yankees within striking distance but received no offensive support. The right-hander allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out five over five innings and 82 pitches.

Ryan Weathers, Paul Blackburn and Brent Headrick combined to hold Tampa Bay hitless over the final three innings, but New York’s lineup never found an answer for Rasmussen.

The shutout represented a dramatic reversal for a Yankees offense that scored 18 runs during its two-game Wild Card Series sweep of the Boston Red Sox. New York was again without captain Aaron Judge, who was left off the ALDS roster as he continues recovering from a right calf strain.

Trump touts ‘golden age’ at Ohio rally, urges voters to deliver GOP midterm wins

President Donald Trump swept into Ohio Saturday night promoting what he calls a new "golden age" for America, pointing to billions of dollars in investment and new jobs in the Buckeye State as he urged voters to help keep Republicans in power in November.

For the third time in as many nights, Trump rallied supporters outside Dayton for Republicans Sen. Jon Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, casting the midterms as a chance to extend the economic and political gains he said the GOP has delivered since his return to the White House.

And with his own name absent from the ballot, Trump gave voters gathered a simple instruction.

"Just pretend that I’m running," Trump said. "When I run, we win."

Trump, who carried Ohio in all three of his presidential campaigns, later echoed the same message as he sought to rally his political coalition behind Republicans fighting to maintain control of Congress.

"If you don’t mind, please pretend that I’m on the ballot," Trump said. "And you need to turn out for a midterm victory."

The president used much of the rally to make an economic case for the Republican ticket, declaring Ohio is "booming" as he hailed investments he credited to both his trade and tariff policies.

Trump pointed to a $400 million Stellantis investment in Toledo and an $850 million Electra aerospace investment near Springfield.

Weaving in an anecdote about his daily aspirin habit, the president also featured Bayer’s plans for a $2.2 billion pharmaceutical manufacturing campus near Columbus, which the company says will support approximately 600 permanent jobs and 1,500 construction jobs.

"Your state is booming," Trump told the gathered crowd. "Every state is booming."

Trump credited the investments to his tariff agenda, arguing the U.S. is finally leveling the playing field after years of other countries using tariffs against American products while giving companies a powerful incentive to build at home.

The president also threw his support behind Husted’s Ratepayer Protection Act, legislation aimed at shielding consumers from additional electricity costs associated with data centers.

"We want them," Trump said of data centers. "There’s so much money to be made for Ohio. You can’t just turn them off. They’ll go to China."

Husted brought the legislation to the Senate floor days before the rally, where it failed to advance. President Trump pledged to sign it if Congress can send it to his desk.

"I will sign this Ratepayer Protection Act into law immediately," Trump said.

Trump broadened his victory lap from Ohio to the country as a whole, hailing stock market records, manufacturing growth, investment and employment while contrasting his own administration’s economic record with former President Joe Biden's.

"Our nation is doing better now than ever before," Trump said.

He also praised GOP-backed tax provisions, including no tax on tips and overtime, and reiterated his previously announced proposal for $5,000 payments to adult Americans if Republicans retain the House and Senate.

Trump then shifted to immigration and Springfield, Ohio, dedicating his recitation of the poem "The Snake" to the city that became a national flashpoint during the 2024 presidential campaign over an influx of Haitian nationals into the community.

"I dedicate this to Springfield, Ohio," Trump said. "They went through hell."

After finishing the poem, which the president has long admired as an immigration allegory, he told the crowd, "That’s what happened at our border," before hailing his administration’s immigration crackdown.

The president also briefly touched on Venezuela, claiming the U.S. had more than recouped the costs of its military operation against former Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro through the country's vast oil resources.

"We paid for the cost of the war many, many times over," Trump said. "We’re making a fortune with it."

Trump repeatedly weaved the election 31 days away into his remarks, urging Ohioans to support Husted, Ramaswamy and Republican congressional candidates.

He also pitched Ohio as a potential home for the U.S. National Space Academy, citing both the state's aviation history and the Wright brothers.

"If we win the midterms, Ohio will be very, very strongly considered for this," Trump said. "I really want you to go out and vote again for John Husted and for Vivek."

France’s violent student protests are fueling fresh warnings about the consequences of open-border immigration policies, with the unrest being held up as a "cautionary tale" for the U.S.

"I would also say as we’re sitting here in beautiful New York City, this is a cautionary tale," "The Big Weekend Show" co-host Tomi Lahren said Saturday.

She continued: "This is something we’re learning from Europe, and we would be wise to learn from Europe. They decided they wanted to have open borders. They decided they wanted diversity as their strength, and of course, Joe Biden tried that for four years. We’re undoing that currently."

Students in Paris began to protest late last month against what they deemed as overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, long school days and deteriorating conditions, blaming the government for not investing enough in education.

The protests were also fueled by the government’s 2027 budget unveiling on Thursday, which showed education spending would rise by only 1.7%, excluding teacher pensions, an increase which is below the rate of inflation, Reuters reported.

Rioters have committed arson, vandalism, thrown objects at police and even assaulted people in some cases, prompting authorities to respond with tear gas and rubber bullets.

More than 5,000 protesters were arrested this week across the country, according to Reuters, and more than 400 schools remained closed as of Friday.

French intelligence agencies told a government crisis meeting Thursday that the protest movement had been initiated by politicians from the hard-left France Unbowed Party, known as LFI, Reuters reported Friday.

South Carolina football in free fall as Shane Beamer may be out of time with buyout decision looming

Another blown lead, another loss for South Carolina. What has ultimately turned into the story of Gamecocks football over the last two years once again caught up with head coach Shane Beamer on Saturday against Kentucky.

Coming off a thrashing against Alabama last week, which came one week after losing to Mississippi State after holding a 16-0 lead, the dam seems to have officially broken in Columbia on different ways to lose a game.

Leading 17-0 against Kentucky at home, South Carolina fans have grown accustomed to never taking a lead for granted. In this case for those wearing Garnett, it was as if the game was tied 0-0 given past instances of being let down by the results.

And now, after Kentucky beat South Carolina 35-34 in overtime on a two-point conversion to move to 4-1, the chatter throughout the state will only grow louder for the Gamecocks’ athletic department to make a change at head coach.

This was the Gamecocks eighth straight SEC loss, and also their 12th loss against Power-4 opponents in the past 14 games. If the Gamecocks were to fire Shane Beamer before the end of the year, he would be owed an estimated $22.5 million for his departure.

To be fair to Shane Beamer, the program is not getting a return on investment with the money spent on players like LaNorris Sellers or Dylan Stewart, which reportedly hovers above $5 million combined. If anything, the football team has been robbed blind by Stewart, given his lack of production and antics on the field this season, and we just started the month of October.

In hopes of putting an end to any distractions coming off last week's temper-tantrums along the sidelines in Tuscaloosa, Beamer suspended Dylan Stewart indefinitely this week from the program, with the head coach declaring he was the only one making a decision on when the defensive standout could return.

But, it goes deeper than that.

Those writing the checks are not going to sit with this, and pray for better days

In this era of college athletics, a return on investment for those helping fund these player contracts essentially comes down to whether you make the playoff, or hoist a trophy at season's end. And no, I don't mean the Outback or Gator Bowl trophies.

After a memorable 2024 season that saw the Gamecocks miss out on the college football playoff by just a few spots on the final weekend, the fans have witnessed a program going in the wrong direction.

Finishing 4-8 in 2025, Shane Beamer declared that the national media, and those covering the program on a daily basis, would be changing their tune on the South Carolina program after they put together a 2026 season that would see them competing for both a conference and national title.

"I can one billion percent promise you this... because of the success we're gonna have next season... we're gonna look back at this season and say, 'It sucked going through it, but because of what we went through in '25 it led us to what we just did in '26,'" Beamer said last year.

And, even though we all understood what he was implying this past week, it obviously didn’t sit well with Gamecock fans when he discussed how good of a practice they had following the loss to Alabama.

In reality, Beamer has always been confident that he was the right man to lead South Carolina back to the same statue as they acquired during the 2024 season. But, thanks to injuries, play-calling and some pretty bad luck, the 2026 campaign was crucial for his future.

Different era means enhanced timing on decisions in college football

Now, after the third loss in five games, those who control the payroll and fundraising at South Carolina will have a decision to make on what the future looks like for a program trying not to be forgotten within the SEC.

Obviously, this is going to only create more chaos around the football building, especially when you are out of contention for a conference title before the second weekend of October.

Schools know that they can no longer wait until seasons end to make these decisions, especially when you are trying to sell season tickets for 2027. At the same time, those within the program are already trying to detour players' agents from shopping them to other teams for next year, which has been the case according to multiple sources.

And, it's not just at South Carolina.

Discussions about player retention, the transfer portal, raises and movement are already taking place, and will only increase over the next two months.

So, on the weekend of October 3rd, influential voices around the Gamecocks athletic department are already having to make a decision about 2027.

Like it or not, that's the world we live in now.

For Shane Beamer, his team will face Florida next, before they are due for a much-needed bye week.

Phil Collins gets frank on marriage failures and life regrets: 'I regret my marriages falling apart'

Phil Collins is opening up about his biggest regret throughout the course of his career.

During a recent interview on "Piers Morgan Uncensored," the 75-year-old musician reflected on the toll his career took on his relationships with his children and how it affected his three marriages.

"To some extent, I have to say I regret my marriages falling apart," he explained. "Sometimes I jumped. Well, one time I jumped, two times I was pushed. But I wouldn't have written it like that. But on the other hand, I've got five fantastic kids that I wouldn't have if that hadn't happened. So I have to balance it."

The famous drummer was married to his first wife, Andrea Bertorelli, from 1975 to 1980. Collins adopted Bertorelli's daughter, Joely, and the couple welcomed son Simon.

And when I ended up getting separated from my first wife, the guys in the band said, ‘Well, why didn’t you tell us? We’d have stopped it.’ But that’s easy to say in retrospect," he said. "I was gone, and we grew apart."

Despite his failure to make his relationships with his wives work, Collins said he "always tried to be there for the kids," and that he never planned on getting married three times, noting, "You don't go into life thinking that."

"I accept and honor the sadness and anger I felt toward the things you did or didn't do, did or didn't give me. It doesn’t matter whether it’s intentional or accidental during the throes of celebration: You just don’t do it.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers did not abide by this, but still managed to take a huge win over Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

CRAZIEST UPSET OF THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON HAPPENED ON FRIDAY NIGHT WHILE EVERYONE WAS ASLEEP

Last week, Minnesota beat Washington 27-24, a win that led to a euphoric PJ Fleck smearing a player's blood on his own face, and this week they welcomed the Wolverines to Huntington Bank Stadium.

However, during the game, things got a little rough for QB Drake Lindsey.

The Gophers had just secured a first down, and offensive lineman Bennett Warren was fired up about it.

Understandable, but the issue was that he didn't make sure the airspace was clear before performing a celebratory kick.

A kick that landed straight to Lindsey's groin.

Between this and the aforementioned blood-smearing incident, the Gophers may need to take a look in the mirror when it comes to celebrations.

At this rate, they could end up going all Texas on everyone and just let 'er rip.

Fortunately, they did stick the dismount on their last celebration of the afternoon, when they stormed the field to celebrate the Gophers' 20-14 win after coming into the game as 8.5-point underdogs.

Next weekend, the 4-1 Gophers will head to West Lafayette to take on the Purdue Boilermakers.

If they win? Well, buckle up.

Cornell president says university 'must do better' on handling of sexual assault allegations

Cornell University President Michael Kotlikoff said Saturday that the institution "must do better" as it faces questions over its response to sexual assault allegations involving seven former fraternity brothers.

"What happened to Jane Doe in 2024 is deeply disturbing and will weigh heavily on our community for years to come. My heart aches when I think of what she experienced," Kotlikoff said in a video statement to the Cornell community.

Kotlikoff said the case raises questions about sexual assault, campus party culture, alcohol and drug abuse on the Ithaca, New York, campus, as well as the investigation conducted after the allegations were reported.

"I want to acknowledge something that can be difficult for an institution to say we don't have all the answers, but we are committed to investigating and finding the answers our community deserves. I believe we as an administration, and we as a community must do better," Kotlikoff said.

"We will act," Kotlikoff said.

Jane Doe alleges in a lawsuit that seven former Chi Phi fraternity brothers drugged and sexually assaulted her during an October 2024 night at the fraternity house. Doe was a 20-year-old Cornell undergraduate at the time.

The men have denied wrongdoing, with some maintaining the sexual activity was consensual and others denying they participated. No criminal charges have been filed against the seven men.

Doe filed a 101-page lawsuit last month accusing the former fraternity members of sexual assault and rape and naming Cornell and other entities.

The case came under renewed scrutiny after Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten said his office had not received the full transcript of Doe's November 2024 interview with Cornell University Police before prosecutors initially declined to pursue charges.

Van Houten reopened the investigation before Hochul appointed the Office of the Attorney General as special prosecutor. James said Friday that her office was conducting an "active criminal investigation."

Kotlikoff also addressed frustration over Cornell's communication about its response to the allegations and said the university would make a greater effort to be transparent.

Kotlikoff said Cornell would also reexamine the role of fraternities and sororities on campus and support efforts to change New York's sexual assault laws.

It turns out that the Secretary of War can ball, and he sank an impressive series of three-pointers.

Hegseth was on the Air Force Academy's court in Clune Arena when he uncorked ten three-point attempts from the top of the arc and drilled all but one of them.

The Florida Gators certainly aren't the 2019 LSU Tigers.

They might not even be the 2019 version of the Florida Gators.

The number eight team in the country traveled to Columbia, Missouri, and ran into an absolute buzzsaw, as the Tigers took the Gators behind the woodshed in a 45-17 victory on Saturday.

It seemed like anything that could go right for Mizzou did.

The Tigers were able to establish their dominance on both lines of scrimmage, putting up 560 total yards and holding Florida to a shockingly low 42 yards on the ground.

Jadan Baugh, who came into the game leading the SEC in rushing yards, could hardly get it going this afternoon, only rushing for 13 yards on 12 carries.

That was by design, as head coach Eli Drinkwitz revealed in his post game presser on the field.

While Baugh entered the day with Heisman aspirations, it was Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons who put on an award-winning performance.

The former Ole Miss starter was about as perfect as anyone could have asked for, eviscerating Florida's secondary to the tune of 340 yards and two scores through the air.

Missouri showed a ton of resolve, regrouping from their loss last week to Mississippi State and winning a home game against a ranked opponent for the first time since 2024.

For the Gators, Faurot Field has proved to be a house of horrors, and Saturday afternoon was no different.

The game was never close after halftime, and at no point did the usually explosive Florida offense look threatening to the home team.

Now, first year head coach Jon Sumrall will have to regroup and answer some tough questions.

It doesn't get any easier for the Gators either.

South Carolina comes to town, then Florida goes to Austin to take on Texas before a bye week.

Then the Gators will take on archrival Georgia in Atlanta.

'Caddyshack' star Michael O'Keefe claims cocaine was budgeted on set, admits filming scenes high

Michael O'Keefe is getting candid about what it was like on the set of the hit 1980 movie "Caddyshack."

During a recent interview with Page Six, the 71-year-old actor shared that there was a lot of cocaine on the set of the classic comedy and claimed the drug was even accounted for in the movie's budget, with the actor noting, "there was some miscellaneous item."

"It was the 70s," he said. "That’s what was happening back then. People were just treating it like it was toothpaste, and you had to do it twice a day to stay healthy."

The movie was filmed in 1979 and released in 1980, and also starred Ted Knight, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield and was set at the fictional Bushwood Country Club.

When reflecting on the drug use on set, O'Keefe recalled doing cocaine before filming certain scenes, telling Page Six that when he watches those scenes now, "it was not my favorite memory," and that he is "not too happy about them."

"But I can report to you that right after that movie, during that movie, was the last time I ever did anything like cocaine," he said. "I realized that it was a terrible thing to get involved [with], and like so many things in the drug world, it looked like fun, but in reality, it wasn’t."

Part of the reason he decided to take a step back from drugs was the death of Doug Kenney, who co-wrote and produced "Caddyshack."

He called Kenney's death "a huge wake-up call." Kenney died at 33 after falling from a cliff in Hawaii in 1980.

In October, elite starting pitching wins postseason games.

For the Atlanta Braves, it was a bullpen game, while the Los Angeles Dodgers sent out two-time American League Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. On Saturday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, the elite starting pitcher led the way. Skubal was dominant, striking out seven hitters while allowing one run on two hits and two walks over six innings of work in the Dodgers' 5-3 Game 1 NLDS win.

The Dodgers began their quest for a third straight World Series title with a statement win over the Braves, but the game didn't start off smoothly.

Dylan Dodd was the Braves’ starter, and he was fantastic over three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits. In the fourth inning, manager Walt Weiss turned to Victor Mederos, and things quickly went awry.

Mederos got catcher Will Smith to fly out but then walked star first baseman Freddie Freeman. With a runner on first and one out, Mederos threw a 92.3 mph cutter right over the middle of the plate, and left fielder Teoscar Hernández didn’t miss it.

The ball came off Hernández’s bat at 109.9 mph as he demolished it 431 feet into the left-field bleachers, giving the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. The outfielder admired his blast, remaining in the batter’s box for a few moments before turning and firing his bat toward the Dodgers’ dugout.

Dodgers right fielder Kyle Tucker followed Hernández's blast with a bloop single to left field, and Weiss had seen enough, removing Mederos from the game.

Weiss turned to A.J. Smith-Shawver to try to settle things down, which he did by retiring the next two batters.

Skubal, on the other hand, retired 15 straight batters after allowing a leadoff single to All-Star designated hitter Drake Baldwin.

However, the scoreless streak ended when catcher Sean Murphy got a hold of Skubal’s 1-2, 99 mph fastball and sent it 421 feet over the left-center-field wall for a solo home run, cutting the lead to 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning.

After Murphy’s leadoff blast, the Braves’ lineup didn’t quit, as shortstop Ha-Seong Kim and second baseman Ozzie Albies sandwiched walks around two outs, bringing first baseman Matt Olson to the plate with two runners on and two outs. Yet Skubal avoided further damage by inducing a weak fly ball to left field from the All-Star first baseman, leaving the score at 2-1.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Dodgers immediately picked up Skubal. With one out, Hernández laced a single up the middle and Tucker followed up by depositing Smith-Shawver's 97-mph fastball 408 feet over the right field wall to give the Dodgers a 4-1 lead.

Two batters after Tucker's blast, third baseman Max Muncy joined the home run club with a solo shot off Smith-Shawver to make it 5-1.

With their bullpen depleted after a three-game Wild Card Series win over the Philadelphia Phillies, the Braves were forced to stick with Smith-Shawver to preserve their remaining arms.

In the top of the ninth inning, Ronald Acuña Jr. walked and second baseman Ozzie Albies smacked a two-run home run off Tanner Scott to make it a 5-3 game. However, Scott put the next two batters away. Manager Dave Roberts turned to Evan Phillips to record the final out of the game.

Phillips first walked Mauricio Dubón, sending up Austin Riley as the tying run, but got the Braves third baseman to ground out to Betts to close it out.

Bear attack leaves 2 people injured outside their home in Idaho, authorities say

A young bear left two people injured outside their home in a small Idaho town on Friday, authorities said.

The attack happened around 3:30 in the morning in the Sunset Heights subdivision near Salmon, Idaho, which has a population of just over 3,000.

One of the victims was taken by helicopter to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, according to Idaho Fish and Game.

The pair were attacked while on their porch, according to KTVB-TV.

In July, a jogger with his dog was attacked by a bear while in a state park in Fremont County, south-east of Lemhi County.

I went 4-1 in Week 3 and added 3.06 units, bringing my season record to 9-6 and putting me in the black at +2.82 units. GPT managed its first winning card, going 3-2 for a profit of 0.89 units. It is now 5-10 and down 5.61 units through three weeks. Also, I have finished ahead of GPT in units every week.

We also settled our Week 3 disagreement in my favor. I took Pittsburgh getting points against Cincinnati, while GPT laid them with the Bengals and the Steelers won outright. Chalk up a major win for humanity.

A week after betting against the Bengals (and winning), I'm going to flip the script and back Cincinnati. This game perfectly fits my NFL gambling philosophy: fade what you saw most recently. The Bengals lost to the Steelers and the Jaguars pounded the Patriots. Suddenly, everyone seems all-in on Jacksonville, but I just don't see it. The Jags are OK, but I still think the Bengals are better and I'm laying less than a field goal for the home squad.

GPT’s analysis:

Getting Cincinnati below a field goal at home is the strongest argument for your pick, and Burrow’s protection gives the Bengals a way to attack Jacksonville’s pass rush. My disagreement comes from Jacksonville’s performance on both sides of the ball, not simply its blowout of New England. Cincinnati’s defensive injuries also concern me, with Kyle Dugger out and Bryan Cook and B.J. Hill questionable. At +125, I prefer Jacksonville’s outright-win potential to laying points with the Bengals.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3 (+100)

Dan’s analysis:

OK, hear me out. I know I said I was off the Bucs, like, five days ago. But I reserve the right to change my mind whenever I want. If you don't like it, read someone else. Just kidding, don't do that. I need the pageviews. In all seriousness, the Bucs should benefit from playing in the Tampa heat because they can run the ball and the Packers simply can't. Backing rookie Jalon Daniels in his first NFL start is a risk with Baker Mayfield out, but this bet is more about the ground game than the quarterback. Long, sustained drives will wear out the Green Bay defense in the potentially extreme humidity, and I think Tampa can put a few of those together to keep this game within a field goal.

GPT’s analysis:

Tampa Bay’s running game against Green Bay’s vulnerable front is a reasonable way to keep this close, especially with Bucky Irving cleared to play. My concern remains rookie Jalon Daniels replacing Baker Mayfield, who has been ruled out. Getting even money helps, but a three-point Tampa Bay loss would produce a push. Green Bay’s offensive-line injuries make me reluctant to back the Packers, but Tampa Bay’s quarterback uncertainty keeps the Bucs outside my five.

3. New England Patriots +7 (-115)

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills, Sunday at 1 p.m. ET

Dan’s analysis:

I'm not going to pretend that I'm not concerned about Drake Maye. He has looked legitimately BAD at times this season. But I don't think he's as bad as he's looked and he's due for a bounce-back performance. The Bills are very good, but they haven't exactly been blowing opponents out this year. In a division matchup where the Pats are a desperate team, I like catching a full touchdown.

GPT’s analysis:

Buffalo’s defense gives New England a route to staying within a touchdown, and the Patriots’ defense is a better argument for this bet than their recent scores might suggest. The concern is the offense: Drake Maye has one touchdown pass and six interceptions, with protection problems around him. At -115, I am paying a meaningful price to count on a rebound. I passed on the Patriots, but Buffalo -7 did not make my card either.

4. Miami Dolphins +10 (-107)

Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings, Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET

Dan’s analysis:

I might have to patent the "Dan Z.'s Plug Your Nose and Hit 'Place Bet' Bet of the Week." Wait, that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it? Whatever, it doesn't matter. I've apparently made a habit of giving out at least one bet per week that feels awful to place. First it was the Browns +8 in Week 2, then the Giants -2½ last week. Both covered, so the "plug your nose" picks are 2-0. I don't think the Vikings are good enough to lay double digits against anyone, and that includes the abysmal Dolphins. Prove me right, Miami.

GPT’s analysis:

Justin Jefferson being ruled out strengthens the argument against asking Minnesota to win by double digits. The problem is whether Miami can produce enough offense without De’Von Achane to stay within the number. At +10, my projected 23-13 Minnesota win would push your bet. I still prefer the under, although a competitive, low-scoring game could reward both selections.

5. New Orleans Saints -1½ (-115)

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints, Monday Night Football

Dan’s analysis:

I think people are overrating the Falcons after they rolled over the lowly Packers in primetime and I don't think people have come around yet on how good this Saints offense has looked. Michael Penix Jr. returned, but he honestly wasn't that impressive and missed multiple throws. Tyler Shough, on the other hand, has been incredibly impressive. The Saints had a bad loss against the Raiders last week, but they led by 11 in the second half. They also were a two-point conversion away from upsetting the Lions. I just think the Saints are better than the Falcons and they're barely favored at home. To me, this spread is simply incorrect and should be Saints -3. I'll happily lay 1½ instead, though.

Shough’s production and home field give New Orleans a reasonable case, and a two-point Saints victory would cover this spread. I prefer Atlanta’s running game and extra rest, particularly with New Orleans ruling out Kaden Elliss, Carl Granderson and Anfernee Jennings. Those absences strengthen the matchup for Bijan Robinson and make it harder to pressure Michael Penix Jr. At +115, I would rather back Atlanta to win outright than lay 1½ points with the Saints.

TSA agents are losing their checkpoint chairs in a controversial new move

The next time airport travelers hand over their ID at a security checkpoint, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officer they encounter may be standing instead of sitting.

The TSA has directed the officers assigned to verify passengers' identification to remain on their feet, saying the new rule is intended to reinforce security and create a more welcoming experience.

The union representing workers, however, argues it could negatively affect both safety and comfort.

"This welcome change reinforces both our security posture and our commitment to hospitality by having these officers on their feet and alert," the agency said in a statement to multiple news outlets.

"All officers must meet fitness for duty requirements to be capable of performing their vital national security function," it added.

The move comes nearly two months after TSA Administrator David Cummins took the helm of the agency and launched an initiative to improve the passenger experience.

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) TSA Council 100, which represents TSA officers, criticized the new policy, saying it was not consulted before the change was implemented at most TSA-staffed airports across the U.S.

The union has reportedly argued the chairs provide basic ergonomic and safety support for officers who spend long hours standing and walking on hard floors, and said it plans to challenge the change.

"The hard floors they are standing on do not offer any support, which can cause foot and back issues," said Daniel Bubb, Ph.D., a commercial aviation professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Bubb, who was previously an airline customer service representative and performed airport security duties, said providing anti-fatigue mats for officers on their feet could help reduce strain from standing on hard airport floors.

Officers who operate X-ray scanners for carry-ons may continue to do so while seated, and TSA officers typically rotate through several checkpoint assignments during an eight-hour shift, a spokesperson for the agency told The New York Times.

Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog "View From the Wing," told Fox News Digital he does not expect the change to have much impact on airports or passengers during their travel experience.

Justine Marie May, 31, faces two counts of homicide by child abuse in connection with the Sept. 29 deaths of her daughters at the family's home in Ladson, outside Charleston, court documents show.

Charleston County Sheriff's Office deputies responding to a welfare check allegedly encountered May outside the home crying and "speaking incoherently," according to the affidavits.

Deputies entered the home to check on the children and found both dead, the documents state.

She allegedly told investigators she believed the children died because they did not eat and acknowledged that not feeding them was neglectful, the documents state. May also said she had been the only person at the home and the children's sole caregiver during the previous few weeks.

The affidavits describe the children as approximately 1½ and 2½ years old at the time of their deaths.

Separate arrest warrants were issued for each child, charging May with homicide by child abuse under South Carolina law.

The White Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 3-0 at Progressive Field to take Game 1 of the ALDS. White Sox manager Will Venable deployed a bullpen game to begin the series, and his pitching staff was fantastic.

Grant Taylor led the way with a Herculean effort, pitching the final four innings of the game in the longest outing of his career and earning a rare four-inning save. It was the first four-inning save in a postseason game since Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. accomplished the feat in 2017 against the New York Yankees in the ALCS.

In four innings, Taylor struck out six hitters and yielded just two hits. It was a rare game where the pitcher who finished the game for the winning team pitched more innings than the starter.

Hagen Smith was the opener for the White Sox, and he was cruising until he wasn’t. After retiring the first eight batters he faced, he walked three consecutive batters to load the bases.

Venable had seen enough from Smith and turned the ball over to lefty Bryan Hudson to face left-handed hitter Chase DeLauter. Hudson escaped the jam by inducing a weak flyout from DeLauter to keep the game scoreless through three innings.

However, two batters later, the game was no longer scoreless. White Sox third baseman Miguel Vargas led off the top of the fourth inning with a line-drive single to left field, and first baseman Munetaka Murakami followed with the first postseason home run of his career.

Despite raising the blood pressure of White Sox fans, Kay escaped the inning unscathed, preserving the 2-0 lead by getting shortstop Bryan Rocchio to fly out to right field to end the threat.

The White Sox chased Messick in the top of the fifth inning after Colson Montgomery’s single. Messick struck out six hitters while yielding two runs on four hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings of work.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt turned to Daniel Espino with one out and a runner on first to try to keep the deficit at two, and it worked beautifully as second baseman Chase Meidroth grounded into a double play to end the top of the fifth inning.

Kay stayed in for the bottom of the fifth inning and shut down the top of the Guardians’ order with a 1-2-3 inning.

The White Sox threatened in the top of the sixth inning after Tristan Peters singled and Vargas walked. Vogt pulled Espino from the game and brought in Erik Sabrowski.

With runners on first and second and no outs, Sabrowski struck out Murakami for the first out of the inning and then induced an unconventional double play. Tommy Pham hit a deep fly ball to left field, and left fielder Ángel Martínez leaped at the wall to make a fantastic catch before the ball reached the outfield wall.

Martínez then fired the ball back to first base to double off Vargas, who was well off the bag anticipating an extra-base hit. The White Sox challenged the call, believing the ball hit the outfield wall before Martínez caught it, but the call stood.

Venable then turned to his bullpen for what ended up being the final time, bringing in Taylor, who worked a scoreless bottom of the sixth inning.

In the top of the seventh inning, the White Sox added a key insurance run. Shortstop Colson Montgomery was at the plate with catcher Kyle Teel, who had walked earlier in the inning, on first base with two outs. With left-handed pull hitter Montgomery at the plate, the Guardians’ defense was shaded toward the first-base side of the infield.

Montgomery then hit it where the defenders weren’t, hitting a weak ground ball at just 64 mph off the bat down the third-base line. Teel, who isn’t fleet of foot, scored from first base on Montgomery’s cue shot. It was a close play at the plate, but Hedges couldn’t corral Martínez’s throw from left field, giving the White Sox a 3-0 lead.

Venable left Taylor in for a second inning of work in the bottom of the seventh, and the right-hander once again pitched a scoreless frame, frustrating the raucous Guardians crowd.

After Guardians reliever Tim Herrin kept the White Sox off the board in the top of the eighth inning, Taylor did the same with an efficient bottom half.

Vogt brought in closer Cade Smith in the ninth inning to keep the deficit at three, which he did. Vogt used his top bullpen arms to keep the game close, but it didn’t matter, as the Guardians’ offense was held scoreless. The Guardians had just three hits and drew five walks in the loss.

The White Sox will look to take another game on the road on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET, while the Guardians look to even the series.

Conservatives are praising The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and his new album, "Thrasher," which leans into country western elements and religion.

Flowers is best known as the lead singer of The Killers, who achieved global fame in the mid-2000s following the release of their multi-platinum debut album, "Hot Fuss," which featured hits like "Mr. Brightside." Flowers, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has drawn cultural attention with an album centered on Americana, family, and a spiritual yearning for God amid a troubled world.

"Two things can be true at the same time. The fact that I love new wave and rock and roll has been well documented. But a life is long enough to allow for more. Walt Whitman said it best, ‘I am large. I contain multitudes,’" Flowers said in a trailer for the album. The promotional footage features him driving a classic convertible on a desert highway interspersed with shots of truck stops, diners, ranches, and American flags.

"Well, I'm larger now than I was 20 years ago," he continued. "And I've unlocked a room that feels like it's been waiting for me all along. Country-western music, my father's music. It has offered itself to me and the stories I have to tell at the moment with a breezy enthusiasm."

He noted that this album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, clarifying that he is not running away from rock music or his old songs, but rather, "found room for more."

The album's focal track, "An American Dream," gained traction following a viral broadcast performance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." The song explores Americana and the illusion of fame as a form of fool's gold, juxtaposed with the value of family and salvation.

In the lyrics, Flowers sings about being on the open road while yearning for home, feeling a deep nostalgia for a bygone era, and encountering a roadside billboard that asks, "Where would I spend my eternity?"

He later described being picked up by Elvis Presley — as he looked in his 1968 comeback tour — driving a Tesla model X and sober. Elvis laughs when asked if fame was worth it, but cries when mentioning his daughter, eventually handing over the keys and saying, "Put it on Jesus."

The recurring chorus then finishes off the song, "Gold and silver, God and glitter. Lights that flicker on hubcap chrome. On the road to Heaven. In Strauss and Stetson. Swimming pools of horsepower. Take me back home."

The release arrives amid a broader, well-documented resurgence of country-western culture, spearheaded by stars like Ella Langley topping the charts.

National Review contributing editor Daniel Foster talked about the song as one built on a rough American nostalgia.

"The tune itself is great. A hook precision-engineered for bar sing-alongs and a lyric full of James Ellroy, Cormac McCarthy-level American arcana and myth (‘Strauss and Stetson,’ ‘an ad for the Red Man,’ and Elvis Presley in ‘jet-black ’68 comeback leather’)," he wrote. "It’s also fully, unapologetically a song about God — a distinctively American, distinctively American West God, which makes sense since Flowers’s God is Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints."

CCM Magazine, a Christian music news outlet, also wrote an extensive review of the album. While he is of a different Christian denomination, Logan Sekulow of CCM Magazine credited Flowers for his frequent references to biblical concepts and images.

"[M]arketed ‘Christian’ artists should take note, that Thrasher and the catalogue of Flowers/The Killers contain more direct references to Christ, heaven and biblical principles than you will find on many releases marketed specifically to Christian audiences outside of Worship music," he wrote. "This is the same songwriter who warned about a devil who doesn’t resemble Jesus in 'When You Were Young,' celebrated the sustaining power and rarity of a loving marriage in 'Dying Breed', and retold the emotional arc of the prodigal son in 'Fire in Bone.' Flowers has never treated faith like a decorative accessory. It is part of the architecture of his songwriting."

He specifically praised the use of Elvis as a figure tied to worldly fame and yet yearning for God.

He then concluded, "The record reaches its destination in a great collision of ‘Gold and Silver, God and Glitter.’ That phrase could almost serve as a mission statement for Brandon Flowers’ Thrasher. Faith and fame, eternity and entertainment, heaven and hell, Las Vegas and Utah. It all finally makes sense when Elvis is there to throw him the keys as he offers one final word to his protégé: ‘put it on Jesus.’"

Fox News Digital spoke to conservative culture critic Christian Toto, who called Flowers' performance of the song on "The Tonight Show," "Remarkable. Real. Raw. Passionate. Spiritual. Mesmerizing. Here's a veteran singer who seems to have a new lease on life."

He also offered a suggestion as to why country music appears to be having a revival in recent years.

"It's more stripped down than other music genres. We have some mighty talents at work at the moment, singers who connect with large, energetic groups of Americans. Morgan Wallen rushes to mind, a singer so popular he survived one of the nastiest, and most unfair, Cancel Culture attacks and only grew bigger," he said. "It's a genre that allows for God, for love, for spirituality, and for a hunger to touch dirty, get dirty and get back up again. With A.I. looming, and smart phones keeping us digitized, there's a greater need for something soulful and true."

Chris Rock shreds 'woke 1.0' era, compares modern outrage to Salem witch hunts

Chris Rock is getting candid about the importance of forgiveness in a world so quick to cancel others.

During a recent appearance on "The Daily" podcast, the 61-year-old comedian discussed his issues with "wokeness," saying that while advocating for marginalized people and giving them a voice is great, it needs to come with forgiveness.

"The problem with wokeness is we're in the Old Testament right now," he said. "And the Old Testament has no forgiveness. The Old Testament didn't work. So they had to write a remix called the New Testament."

Host David Marchese then asked if he thought there was "anything redeeming" that came out of the post-George Floyd era, which he referred to as "woke 1.0," since Democratic politicians now seem to be straying further from that ideology now.

The "Grown Ups" star reiterated his position that "it's great to help those that need help," but noted the problem comes "when you institutionalize it."

"The Salem witch hunts. I'm sure the first three witches they caught were actually f- - -ing witches," he said. "But then you open up a witch office and now you've got to start lying. Now you've gotta f- - - ing make s- - - up because you've got overhead. You've got to justify the witch hunters f - - -ing pensions and s- - -."

He explained that just because he advocates for forgiveness, it "doesn't mean condoning abusive behavior. You can reprimand your friends," adding that holding them accountable is "also part of friendship."

"If you’re only friends with your friends when they’re good, they’re not your friends," he said.

While he admits there is room for improvement when it comes to cancel culture and wokeness, he noted he is "glad that all of this stuff happened," as it allowed for certain voices to be heard which otherwise may not have been.

Kaivan Shroff — a former Hillary Clinton campaign staffer – disagreed with Rock, telling Fox News Digital the comedian "is oversimplifying this in a way that is pretty self-serving."

"Sometimes the problem is not that people ‘took a joke out of context.’ Often the context is perfectly clear and the comedian knows exactly who the joke is aimed at, knows a lot of people will find it offensive, and is counting on that discomfort to make the material feel edgy or viral," Shroff said. "You don’t get to use outrage as part of the act and then act shocked when the outrage follows."

Rock is currently promoting his new film, "Misty Green," which he wrote and directed in addition to starring in it.

The film follows an award-winning actress, Misty Green, who is working hard to make a comeback after years of watching her career slowly fade away, with Rock portraying a casting director who once worked with the actress.

"I'm really into expiration dates. I have a lot of friends who are in their 50s or whatever and there's this thing everybody tells you, ‘You can do art forever.’ And that's just not true," he said. "And a lot of show business has, like you've got to reach certain plateaus by a certain time or else you're going to be in trouble. So yeah, Misty is turning 40 and there's a little bit of an expiration date happening here. I wanted to do a movie about Hollywood. I wanted to do a movie about the expiration dates we all have."

He said he also wanted to make a movie about Los Angeles, calling it a "tale of two cities," noting that while there is "sunshine and palm trees," people are also "constantly walking over homeless people."

The actor previously spoke about the message he wanted to get across when making the film, telling Variety in September that much of the movie is about Los Angeles, which he called a "complicated place" that "attracts an underbelly that people want to pretend doesn’t exist."

"A lot of it’s about L.A. L.A. has got very wonky priorities," he said. The movie is about that crazy dichotomy."
