DoorDash gets FAA approval for its own delivery drones

Your next DoorDash order could arrive with a flight path instead of a driver. DoorDash has earned FAA Part 135 air carrier certification and launched DoorDash Air, its in-house drone delivery program. The company now has federal authorization to operate a commercial drone delivery service in the United States.

Yes, the app you use for burgers, groceries and late-night snacks is entering the airline business. However, this does not mean a DoorDash drone will hover over your driveway tomorrow. The company still needs added operational approvals. It also has not announced its first markets or a firm launch schedule for its custom aircraft.

DoorDash becomes a certified air carrier

DoorDash announced the FAA certification on July 29, 2026. The company says it is the eighth drone operator to earn this type of federal air carrier certificate. The FAA uses Part 135 certification for companies that carry other people's property for payment. For drones, it provides the regulatory path for commercial package deliveries beyond a pilot's direct line of sight.

Getting certified requires a five-phase FAA review. The agency evaluates the operator's aircraft, maintenance procedures and safety program. Even after earning the certificate, an operator still needs airspace authorization. It may also need exemptions or waivers for flights beyond visual line of sight. State rules and local land-use requirements can also affect where a delivery hub operates. So, DoorDash has cleared a major federal hurdle. Still, each real-world delivery network will require more planning and approval.

Why DoorDash wants to deliver orders by drone

Anyone who has watched a hot meal slowly travel across town can understand the appeal. DoorDash says more than 20% of its orders in 2025 traveled between three and five miles. Those orders took nearly 25% longer than shorter trips, according to the company.

DoorDash blames part of that delay on the challenge of matching a Dasher with a mid-range order. A driver may prefer several shorter deliveries near a busy restaurant area instead of one longer trip. A drone could take the longer order while a Dasher remains close to restaurants. As a result, the customer could get a faster delivery while the driver moves on to another nearby order.

DoorDash estimates that drone deliveries completed during 2025 took an average of about 25 minutes. The company also says some locations in its partner drone pilots saw order volume rise by roughly 30%. That increase continued during the nine weeks after the pilot began. Those are DoorDash's figures, so performance could change by location, weather and the type of order. Still, they help explain why the company wants more control over the aircraft carrying its deliveries.

DoorDash Air will build its own delivery drones

That is the same robotics and autonomy group behind DoorDash's Dot delivery robot.

DoorDash says its drone will be designed and built in the United States. The majority of its components will also come from the U.S., according to the company. DoorDash has not revealed the aircraft's range, payload capacity or final design. A DoorDash spokesperson told CyberGuy that the company plans to share more details about those specifics this fall.

DoorDash drones will work alongside human Dashers

DoorDash says Dashers will continue handling the vast majority of its daily deliveries. That makes sense. A drone cannot walk into an apartment building or carry a large catering order upstairs. It also may struggle with bad weather or a location without a suitable drop zone.

Instead, DoorDash wants its Autonomous Delivery Platform to select the best method for each order. The platform can assign a Dasher. It can also choose an autonomous option such as Dot or a drone.

For example, a small order traveling four miles to a suburban house may fit a drone. A large grocery order going to a high-rise apartment will likely need a person. This approach follows a broader shift across the delivery industry. Uber Eats has also moved toward drone deliveries, while other companies continue testing robots and airborne delivery systems.

What the FAA certification does not guarantee

FAA certification gives DoorDash the legal foundation to operate an air carrier. It does not provide blanket permission to begin unlimited drone flights in every city. DoorDash has not announced its first DoorDash Air markets. The company also has not provided a detailed timeline for deliveries using its in-house aircraft.

In addition, longer autonomous routes may require FAA approval for beyond visual line of sight operations. Local zoning, environmental reviews and community concerns can also shape where hubs are built. Noise could become a major issue. The FAA notes that drone noise may bother a community even when it falls below the level of a significant environmental impact.

Therefore, early service will likely remain limited to carefully selected areas. Suburban neighborhoods with predictable routes and open drop-off spaces may prove easier than dense urban blocks.

What this means to you

DoorDash drone delivery could shorten the wait for small, urgent orders. Cold medicine could arrive without waiting for a driver to cross town. A nurse finishing a long shift might get a hot meal faster. A forgotten phone charger could reach you before your battery runs out. However, availability will depend heavily on where you live. Your address may need to fall within an eligible drone delivery zone. The order must also meet the aircraft's weight and size limits. DoorDash told CyberGuy that it is testing the aircraft to operate across a wider range of weather conditions and climates. The company said it will pause operations during extreme weather until conditions return to an operable level.

You should also look closely at the final cost. DoorDash has not said whether its new in-house DoorDash Air service will carry a separate fee or change how tipping works. The company also has not explained whether customers will choose between a DoorDash Air drone and a Dasher once the new service launches. DoorDash's current partner-operated program does allow eligible customers to select drone delivery at checkout.

For now, think of DoorDash Air as an important step toward wider service rather than a nationwide launch. The federal certificate gives DoorDash the regulatory foundation to operate its own commercial drone delivery service. However, individual operations may still require airspace authorization and other FAA approvals. The next test will be whether DoorDash can make drone delivery reliable enough for an ordinary Tuesday night dinner. I don't really have any hot takes on National Underwear Day, except the fact that I assume every guy in America owns one pair that they've (we've) had in the drawer for a decade-plus and it's basically just a skirt at this point because the entire bottom-half is just one giant hole.

Right? No? Just me? Okeedokee! Moving on ...

Let's get this Hump Day class started with NASCAR mom Natalie Decker, who has been all over the map this season.

She returned to racing at Daytona in February after giving birth, then had an all-time meltdown at Dover in May and rage-quit over the radio in the middle of a race.

It's been a quiet summer for Natalie — probably for the best — but she returned to social media this week to debut a new partnership with Jedora Jewelry.

Angel, Carrie & 'Hard Knocks' is back (but nobody cares anymore)

Just a brutal look for Taylor Trammell. Humiliating. Devastating. I can't even imagine what's going through his head when he touches home and then realizes what he just did.

How do you look your teammates in the eyes after that jog? Goodness. Better yet, how do they look him in the eyes after?

Do they laugh? Do they try to pick him up? Do they just ignore it and act like it never happened? I think you almost have to laugh. I would.

I'm a big believer in laughing through the pain, and this feels like the only way through this scene. Lordy.

The good news? Taylor buckled down, went back to the drawing board, and actually hit one over the wall last night!

All's well that ends well! Good for Taylor Trammell. The Baseball Gods never disappoint.

OK, let's rapid-fire this Hump Day class into a Hump Day night. I've got a yard to mow before it rains for the 27th straight day down here in Florida.

First up? Let's go from one embarrassing moment to another:

I mean, it's just perfect. Everything about that clip is perfect.

The blind dart throw to the rim. The mebound. The put-back. The yelling and shouting and screaming, all while losing by 20.

It's just perfect. Is Angel Reese a content machine, or what? I can't get enough of her. Between the play on the court, and the absolute nonsense off of it — including her comments before Monday's "Barbie Game Day," which celebrated Reese's signature Barbie doll — I'm all in.

What comments, you ask? Oh, you know, just when she told the media that was so proud of her Angel Reese Barbie doll because she didn't grow up with Barbie's that looked like her.

Black Barbie dolls, by the way, have been around since the Carter Administration. Angel was born in 2002.

Moving on ...

Waiting all day for a Sunday night!

Yes, Amber got Carrie yesterday, but whatever. We respect Carrie Underwood around here. There is no greater feeling than the one you get on a Sunday night in the fall when the SNF anthem comes on after your team won earlier in the day.

It's euphoric. It gives you chills every time. For us old enough to remember, it also came with a little dread, because it signaled that school was about 12 hours away and you hadn't done an ounce of homework over the weekend.

But still, you got chills when it came on.

Welcome back, Carrie. Welcome back, football.

And welcome back, "Hard Knocks" ... apparently:

Remember back in the day when "Hard Knocks" was appointment viewing? It was the unofficial start of the fall. The first "Hard Knocks" intro of the year, with some sort of pep talk from the coach followed by the iconic theme, was the true "Wow, football is really back" moment.

Now? Hand up, I had NO idea it was on last night. None. Zero. I didn't even know the Seahawks were the featured team this year.

What a fall from grace.

That being said, I'll watch it tonight. And then probably forget about it.

But man, what a theme.

'We thought we would die': Passengers thrown into ceiling during terrifying flight

Seventeen people were injured after an Air India flight experienced severe turbulence, sending passengers into the ceiling and aisle during a sudden loss of altitude.

The flight — traveling from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi, on Tuesday, August 4 — experienced what the airline described as a "sudden loss of altitude" while cruising. The aircraft continued flying normally and landed safely in Delhi, an Air India spokesperson said in a statement posted on X.

The flight was carrying 137 passengers and eight crew members. Thirteen passengers and four crew members were injured and taken to hospitals for medical evaluation, the airline said.

Five passengers were discharged as of Monday evening, while the remaining injured passengers and crew members continued receiving treatment, the airline added.

"Air India’s foremost priority remains the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew. We will continue to support those affected and their families and will work closely with the relevant authorities throughout the course of the investigation," the airline said in its statement.

The aircraft briefly lost about 300 feet in altitude during the turbulence, The Times of India reported.

Fox News Digital reached out to Air India for further comment.

"It's very unusual but not rare to have serious turbulence incidents," Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog "View From the Wing," told Fox News Digital in an interview.

"For there to be an injury of some kind in turbulence is about one in 1.2 million departures."

Leff advised travelers to always take precautions. "You should still wear your seatbelt when you're seated on the plane," he said.

"Four of the six flight attendants on board this flight were hurt," he added. "They're up in the aisles, they're working, they don't have the opportunity most of the time to stay belted. It is more dangerous."

Passengers on the flight described terrifying moments inside the cabin as people were thrown from their seats and into the ceiling.

"It was a traumatic experience. My father was sitting next to me, and when this happened, his head touched the ceiling," Palak Raniwala, the daughter of one of the injured passengers, told news agency ANI. "It was a terrifying experience for all of us."

Raniwala said the turbulence was unlike anything her family had experienced before and recalled hearing panic in the voices of the crew.

"The flight attendants were panicking, and the pilot himself seemed rattled — you could hear the nervousness in his voice," she told ANI. "The whole situation left us terrified."

Another passenger, identified as Viviana, told the outlet that the flight appeared to be operating normally before the turbulence suddenly struck.

"The aircraft seemed to be moving normally, but suddenly the turbulence began," she told ANI. "I saw my sister thrown into the air from her seat. My mother was knocked on the head."

"We thought we would die. It was really scary. I was shaking and crying," Viviana added.

Leff said the passengers who are hurt are usually the ones who are being "thrown about the cabin."

"Even a loosely fit seatbelt is going to be protection in that event," he said.

He added, "Flying is still a lot safer than driving. If you drive, you shouldn't be concerned with flying."

Nuclear experts urge Trump not to let Iran steer talks away from regime's atomic threat

Iran’s top Revolutionary Guard commander declared Wednesday that Tehran would continue working on nuclear weapons as long as the United States and Israel possess them, intensifying concerns that Iran is using negotiations over the Strait of Hormuz to postpone concessions on its nuclear program.

"As long as the United States and Israel possess nuclear weapons, we will continue working on them for our national security," IRGC commander-in-chief Ahmad Vahidi said, according to a translation of remarks circulating Wednesday. "If they disarm, we will disarm."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded by vowing that Israel would continue preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, with or without a diplomatic agreement.

"Today, we heard the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Vahidi, explicitly declare Iran’s intention to continue developing nuclear weapons — ‘continue,’ as he put it," Netanyahu said at a ceremony marking the reinterment of Shimon and Rivka Herzl, the grandparents of the founder of modern day Zionism, Theodor Herzl.

"Well, as prime minister of Israel, I too am determined to continue — to continue preventing Iran from possessing nuclear weapons," he said.

Netanyahu praised President Donald Trump as Israel’s greatest friend in the White House and expressed appreciation for the two countries’ joint efforts against Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

"Israel’s existence is not subject to negotiation," Netanyahu said. "With an agreement or without an agreement, I am determined — we are all determined — to do whatever is necessary to ensure our security and our future."

The exchange came as nuclear experts urged Trump to keep Iran’s nuclear program at the center of negotiations, warning that Tehran could use the Hormuz crisis to secure sanctions relief and other concessions before addressing its remaining nuclear capabilities.

Trump told "Fox News at Night" Tuesday that military force remained an option if Iran abandoned the talks, while insisting Tehran could not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

"If they back out again, they’re going to get hit really hard," Trump told Fox News’ Trace Gallagher. "They know that. They understand that. I have no choice. They can’t have a nuclear weapon. It’s very simple.

"The hard hit is yet to come, and hopefully we won’t have to use it."

Trump said negotiators held an "all-day negotiation" Tuesday and described the discussions as "very good." He has said the talks would initially focus on reopening the Strait of Hormuz before turning to Tehran’s nuclear program.

Andrea Stricker, deputy director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies’ Nonproliferation and Biodefense Program, said that sequence could play directly into Iran’s strategy.

"It is in the Iranians’ interest to steer the negotiations toward the issues that they most care about," Stricker told Fox News Digital, including securing major U.S. concessions over Hormuz and "maintaining control of that crucial waterway that has proven a lifeline for Tehran to survive this war."

She said Iran would also seek oil sanctions relief and potentially relief from all U.S. sanctions, before addressing the nuclear file.

"If Tehran is able to structure the talks that way — and I’m concerned that Trump appears to be going along with that approach — there may be little left in terms of leverage to get big concessions from the Iranians on the nuclear file down the line," Stricker said.

There is evidence that Tehran has sought to sequence the talks in its favor. Axios reported in April that Iran proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending the war before beginning nuclear negotiations, potentially reducing U.S. leverage over enrichment and Iran’s enriched-uranium stockpile.

The Washington Post later reported that Tehran was focused on preserving its leverage over Hormuz rather than engaging deeply on major nuclear restrictions.

Kelsey Davenport, director for nonproliferation policy at the Arms Control Association, agreed Iran is seeking to capitalize on the leverage it gained by disrupting maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

"The current focus on the Straits of Hormuz is not surprising. Iran is looking to capitalize on leverage gained by disrupting maritime traffic through the waterway and test if Trump is willing to negotiate in good faith," Davenport told Fox News Digital.

She said Tehran understands that any durable agreement will ultimately have to address its nuclear program but said, "At the end of this conflict, Iran will still possess the capabilities necessary to build a bomb," Davenport said, "The relevant knowledge and nuclear expertise cannot be bombed away.

"Tehran retains key materials and technologies necessary to build a bomb," she added. "If left unchecked, the nuclear program will be a source of instability and renewed conflict, even if Iran does not resume more proliferation-sensitive nuclear activities."

A proposed agreement between Iran and Oman could give Tehran some control over ships entering the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz, a senior Iranian source and two regional officials told Reuters Wednesday. One regional source described the arrangement as a concession that had already been made, although the precise meaning of Iranian "control" remained under negotiation.

Iran is also seeking fees from ships traveling through the waterway, according to Reuters, while Washington has opposed both Iranian control and mandatory transit charges.

Stricker said postponing the nuclear issues would allow the regime to preserve its remaining enriched-uranium stockpiles and avoid fully dismantling its nuclear infrastructure.

She said Iran also wants to avoid accounting for its past nuclear weapons-related work or committing to end uranium enrichment and plutonium reprocessing.

"Leaving them as a last-order issue in the negotiations likely means that we will not see the Iranians make big concessions and make a solid nuclear deal," Stricker said.

Davenport said the administration should prioritize restoring access for inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency before beginning detailed nuclear negotiations.

"The IAEA has not visited key Iranian nuclear sites in more than a year," she said. "It remains unclear how much of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure remains and where any gaps might be in trying to account for Iran’s nuclear materials."

She said renewed inspections would give Washington a clearer picture of Iran’s remaining facilities and materials, while helping negotiators design a verification regime capable of addressing any gaps.

Davenport also recommended pairing sanctions relief with specific, verifiable Iranian steps rather than negotiating one sweeping package.

"A series of smaller deals could build confidence in the process," she said.

Stricker urged the administration to link every concession involving Hormuz, sanctions or the U.S. blockade to a measurable Iranian step on the nuclear file.

"I can win" is not a promise to voters. It is a candidate asking the public to participate in her career planning.

A résumé is evidence. It is not a reason. No one has ever left a rally humming, "She performs well in hypothetical general-election matchups."

Republicans saw their own version in Michigan’s gubernatorial primary. John James spoke about restoration, work, security and a Michigan comeback. Perry Johnson emphasized a sweeping audit of state government.

An audit may be useful. But it is a process.

A comeback is a promise.

Politicians adore process words because they sound responsible. Voters hear paperwork.

They are not dreaming of an interagency working group. They would like the electric bill to go down.

This may be why data centers became one of the night’s more revealing issues.

William Lawrence made opposition to unchecked data-center development central to his Michigan campaign. He took something vast and abstract — artificial intelligence infrastructure — and brought it home.

"AI infrastructure policy" is remote.

"Your family may pay more to power someone else’s data center" can move votes.

The closer an issue gets to the kitchen table, the less ideological it feels.

That is also why affordability has become the great unifying language of recent elections.

Politicians with little else in common have discovered that voters are preoccupied with the same rude facts: rent, groceries, child care, health care and the shrinking distance between a paycheck and a minor financial emergency.

But "affordability" is not, by itself, a message. It becomes persuasive only when people can picture it: the prescription they can fill, the rent increase they avoid, the utility bill they can manage.

Voters do not experience the economy as a set of indicators. They experience it as a series of small humiliations.

The grocery cart edited at checkout. The dinner out quietly canceled. The home that now seems permanently one promotion away. The medicine postponed.

The party that speaks most clearly to that experience will have an advantage. The one that answers with macroeconomic data will deserve what happens next.

Tuesday’s results also suggest something we should not miss.

Americans can be anti-establishment and anti-mayhem at the same time.

They can want change and reassurance. A fighter and a grown-up. Someone who will break the right things and leave the rest of the house standing.

This confuses political professionals, who prefer voters to fit neatly into ideological boxes.

Voters persist in being people.

The quality that matters is not always moderation. It is translation.

Can a candidate turn an ideology into an outcome? A policy into a picture? A political argument into something people can see in their own lives?

Tuesday’s winners were not uniformly progressive, moderate, populist or establishment.

What they shared was the ability to place the voter inside the story.

Too many political appeals begin with "I."

I fought. I led. I delivered. I have a plan.

The voter is expected to applaud this autobiographical achievement and infer a benefit.

The stronger appeal begins with an understood "you."

Your money. Your town. Your family. Your future.

Every campaign should have to pass a second-person test.

Can voters hear themselves in it? Can they explain what changes if the candidate wins? Can they repeat the central idea in 10 seconds?

If not, the campaign does not have a message.

It has material.

Both parties will now produce impressive documents announcing that voters endorsed whatever the authors believed on Monday.

But voters may have said something less ideological and more useful:

Stop making us work so hard.

Do not hand us a list and call it a vision.

The WNBA and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association still have not said whether the most dominant player in a French women’s professional basketball league would be eligible to play in the WNBA.

Transgender basketball player Julie Tétart, a biological male, plays for Monaco in Ligue Féminine 2 (LF2), France’s second-tier women’s basketball league.

Tétart averaged 21 points and 20 rebounds per game during the 2025-26 season, leading LF2 in both categories.

Those numbers certainly sound WNBA-worthy.

Plus, Tétart told OutKick/Fox News Digital that playing in the WNBA is "a childhood dream" and said, "If they contact me, I won’t say no."

So, OutKick/Fox News Digital asked the WNBA and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association a simple question: Would Julie Tétart be eligible to play in the league?

Neither organization responded to the initial inquiries or a subsequent follow-up specifically addressing Tétart’s eligibility under the collective bargaining agreement.

The question shouldn’t be difficult. After all, the league’s newly signed CBA appears to provide a clear eligibility standard.

Article XIII, Section 1(a) states: "Only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA."

Sounds simple, right?

But as OutKick/Fox News Digital previously reported, the 409-page agreement never defines "woman" or "women." The terms "transgender" and "gender identity" don’t appear anywhere in the document.

The CBA contains detailed definitions for dozens of other terms. Yet the agreement doesn’t define the word that determines who may play in the league.

That omission was already notable when Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark said leagues and governing bodies should work with athletes to determine who should be included in women’s sports.

OutKick/Fox News Digital previously sought clarification about the standard after Clark’s comments.

At that point, the league could treat the question as theoretical.

It isn’t theoretical anymore.

Tétart gives the WNBA a concrete case: a professional player in a women’s league who led LF2 in scoring and rebounding and has publicly expressed interest in the WNBA.

Would the WNBA consider Tétart a "woman" for purposes of Article XIII?

Would eligibility be determined by biological sex, gender identity, hormone levels or some other standard?

The CBA doesn’t say, leaving the league’s eligibility standard unclear.

The question is separate from age, draft and international-player eligibility provisions, which the CBA addresses in detail.

The WNBA has repeatedly presented itself as an inclusive, progressive sports league. But "inclusion" doesn’t answer the basic question: What is a woman, according to the WNBA and the WNBPA?

Either Tétart is eligible or Tétart isn’t.

If Tétart is eligible, the league should explain the standard and how that standard protects fairness for female players.

If Tétart isn’t eligible, the league should identify the rule or policy that makes a biological male ineligible. The CBA’s current language doesn’t provide that clarity publicly.

This isn’t a request for the WNBA to comment on an abstract political debate. It’s a request for the league to apply its own eligibility rule to a specific professional basketball player.

The same applies to the WNBPA. The union agreed to language stating that only women may play in the league, so players deserve to know how that language would apply to a biological male currently dominating a women’s league.

Home is where the heart is. For linebacker Dre Greenlaw, that certainly was not with the Denver Broncos.

Greenlaw spent last season with the Broncos after signing a three-year, $31.5 million contract, but was cut almost a year later. Greenlaw then returned to the San Francisco 49ers, where he spent the first six years of his career, on a one-year deal. While it wasn’t the main reason Greenlaw left Denver, he certainly won’t miss the altitude of the Mile High City.

"F—ing altitude," Greenlaw told The Athletic. "My mouth’s dry, my nose is dry, I can’t sleep. … I’m fighting demons left and right."

"I tell you, it’s different being here in California," Greenlaw said. "This fresh air, bro, it makes a difference. You feel like you can run all day out here."

Greenlaw’s Broncos tenure got off to an inauspicious start, as he suffered a severe quadriceps strain on the second day of OTAs, and it held him out until Week 7. Greenlaw said he felt head coach Sean Payton’s ire because he wasn’t able to be on the field.

"We were good, especially when I first came in," Greenlaw said. "And then you pop your quad, people start looking at you. Then, when we played the Jaguars (on Dec. 21), I had a little bit of a hamstring (injury). After that, you kind of feel when the coach is, like, not really messing with you. I felt alone."

The Broncos ran a different scheme than the one Greenlaw used with the 49ers, and he said he never mastered it. He took accountability for his shortcomings in Denver.

"I don’t blame anything on the Broncos," he said. "Coming off the Achilles and the calf (injuries), I just wasn’t in the shape that I needed to be to go out there with them and give it all I got. I should have taken it slow. (But) naturally, they’d just paid me, so that’s all I wanted to do — go show them what I could do. And it bit me in the ass, the second day I got there."

The Senate confirmed the next director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as viral outbreaks wreak havoc across the country, and as lawmakers worry whether they’ve found someone to stand up to President Donald Trump’s top health official.

The upper chamber confirmed Dr. Erica Schwartz to be the next CDC director on Wednesday along party lines. Her confirmation comes as a Cyclospora outbreak, commonly known as the diarrhea parasite, carves its way across the U.S. from contaminated lettuce.

Schwartz is the latest person to lead the agency during Trump’s second term in a position that has seen nearly a half dozen different names and faces helming the nation’s disease-fighting outfit.

She almost didn’t make the cut for a full confirmation vote.

Notably, HELP Committee Chair Bill Cassidy, R-La., who proved the decisive vote to confirm Kennedy last year, didn’t buy whether she would just take orders or make scientific and medically-based decisions.

That changed, though, and Schwartz cleared her committee test. Cassidy, who has used his newfound freedom to test the waters against the administration after being ousted by a Trump-backed opponent in his primary, said the agency "needs someone who understands that the way to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases is to reassure the public that vaccines are safe and effective."

Diggs is set to sign with the Commanders, NFL Network first reported on Wednesday. Diggs will agree to what is expected to be a one-year contract and it will not be a minimum salary deal.

Diggs will join a wide receiver room replete with other veterans, including Terry McLaurin, Treylon Burks, Luke McCaffery and Dyami Brown, all who must produce while rookie Antonio Williams develops.

This is good for Diggs.

He's from the DMV (D.C., Maryland, and Virginia), he's coming off his first fully healthy offseason in three years, and he's once again playing with a good quarterback in Jayden Daniels.

This is not good, however, for Aiyuk.

It's a full-on public statement of what NFL personnel people have been privately telling Fox News Digital about Aiyuk's behavior. It is filled with off-putting, perhaps even disconcerting antics, and teams don't want to add that to their locker room.

What antics, you ask?

Filming himself while driving over 100 MPH on the road adjacent to the San Francisco 49ers training facility that Aiyuk declined to report to for much of last season.
Posting a racetrack video after an arrest warrant connected to the alleged speeding was issued.
Filming himself throwing cash around the floor to mock the 49ers for paying him.
Mocking coach Kyle Shanahan's recent accident online. The accident left Shanahan with a broken hand, broken ribs and various other injuries that prevented him from fulfilling all his duties at the start of training camp.

There's more but you get the drift.

Aiyuk didn't hide his desire to go to the Commanders because he desperately wants out of San Francisco and Daniels was his college teammate at Arizona State, where the two had good chemistry.

The Commanders expressed some interest in Aiyuk with the 49ers months ago.

But that interested waned. And now one can only imagine how Aiyuk will react to the news that the team offering his best chance for playing this season is going in another direction.

It might serve as a lesson for him to cut back on his reputation-harming conduct.

FAA investigating possible violation of safety protocol involving Trump, Marine One

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it is reviewing a potential violation of a new safety protocol after an incident Tuesday involving a commercial plane and the Marine One helicopter with President Donald Trump on board, Fox News Digital confirmed.

The incident occurred when a commercial plane took off from Reagan International Airport at the same time that Trump was departing the White House on Marine One, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The White House said Trump was never in any danger.

"Marine One flights are piloted by some of the best aviators in the world, and at no point was the president in harm’s way," White House spokesman Kush Desai told Fox News in a statement.

The FAA, in a statement to Fox News Digital, reiterated the White House's point about the president's safety.

"Based on our preliminary safety review, there was momentary loss of separation, after which the aircraft continued to move away from one another. The air traffic controller was in contact with both the commercial pilot and Marine One pilot during the loss of separation. As the White House has said, the president was never in danger. We are continuing to review the incident and will implement any appropriate corrective actions based on our findings," the statement said.

A loss of separation is a breach of FAA rules that stipulate that aircraft at the same height must be at least three miles apart if they are within 40 miles of an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) antenna.

5 Mexican cartel bosses charged in weapons, drug trafficking, timeshare fraud schemes, DOJ says

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), along with the heads of numerous other federal agencies, announced Wednesday indictments of members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) for drug trafficking, weapons charges and for targeting elderly Americans in sprawling timeshare fraud schemes.

The revelation was part of a wider inter-agency news conference Wednesday announcing a sweeping set of enforcement actions targeting the CJNG in Mexico.

"These sophisticated organizations use violence and fear to maintain control over the importation of deadly narcotics in the United States, including fentanyl, cocaine, meth, and other illegal drugs. Their actions spread violence and death to our communities," Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced during the news conference.

"These cartel members have been charged with a range of crimes, including running drug networks, organizing highly trained hitmen responsible for murders and attempted assassinations, procuring weapons, money laundering and deadly drug manufacturing and distribution. Three of the alleged cartel members were also allegedly committing a sophisticated fraud targeting elderly Americans in an alleged timeshare fraud scheme," Blanche added.

As part of the enforcement, the DOJ's criminal division brought federal charges against five senior members of the cartel, including drug trafficking and firearms offenses, Assistant Attorney General Tysen Duva said. Duva also provided further details about the fraud scheme targeting elderly Americans.

"CJNG targeted Americans who are aspiring to own or already own timeshares in Mexico, many of them elderly, and promised them profits for selling or renting them. But first, the victims had to pay taxes and advance fees. Of course, the profits never came. Once someone paid, the fraudsters contacted them again, posing as lawyers or officials who could recover the money for another fee," Duva explained.

"Of course it was fake. The scheme morphed and continued, with the fraudsters even claiming that the victims actually paid a cartel and would be arrested if they did not pay more, which they did. One particular victim, an 83-year-old individual, an American who bought a timeshare many years ago for $179,000, was duped at each level of this phase. He paid advance fees to begin with. He fell for fake real estate websites and title companies. He was victimized again by attorneys who sent their bar information and fake websites, who claimed that they could get his money back. Of course they were impersonators and they could not," Duva continued.

"Government agencies then contacted him for additional fees, using government letterhead and spoofed government websites. And then again, Mexican law enforcement contacted him and demanded he pay criminal and civil fines because he had apparently paid a cartel. It went on and on. It victimized this man for hundreds of thousands of dollars over eight years," Duva said.

Between 2019 and 2023, FBI Director Kash Patel explained during the news conference, the scheme defrauded over 6,000 Americans to the tune of $400 million.

"These individuals, pursuant to the New York Field Office investigation that began a few years ago, started call centers, down south and across the world. The funds they utilized and they scammed out of these call centers from senior citizens from across America, totaled over $400 million. They duped our seniors using email, telephone, text messages and phishing campaigns into subscribing to a timeshare project that they falsely stood up and falsely delivered promises that our seniors would be able to enjoy their lives and their vacations, only to have that money seized from them and that vacation and their retirements deprived from them," Patel said.

Patel also announced that the FBI had executed over 30 foreign transfers of custody in 15 countries in July alone.

"I'm here to tell you today, for all these individuals that are on the run right now, you will not be on the run for long. We will hunt you down in every corner of the planet, and we will return you here to face American justice," he said. Patel also said the FBI was working to return stolen funds to the elderly victims, adding "we have seized these funds and we are going to get them back to the senior citizens that were fleeced of their life savings and their retirements. That is the mission of law enforcement."

Blanche said the DOJ has been working with a wide swath of other federal agencies on increased enforcement actions which he said have helped reduce fentanyl overdose deaths in the U.S. by 22%. The agencies involved in the enforcement actions included the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the IRS, the State Department, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

The DEA's Administrator Terry Cole framed the enforcement as an America First policy during the news conference.

"Since the inception nearly two decades ago, CJNG has grown into one of the world's most dangerous and ruthless foreign terrorist organizations. CJNG was built on a vast criminal network that produces and distributes deadly drugs, while sustaining a powerful influence via violence and corruption in Mexico. This includes members within the Mexican government who shield CJNG leadership from justice and facilitate drug trafficking, money laundering, and violence," Cole said.

"CJNG actions have resulted in the deaths of thousands of Americans, Americans that were lost way too soon. They did this through the production and distribution of fentanyl, a weapon of mass destruction. DEA is aggressively targeting both the cartels and the corrupt government officials who are responsible for the deaths of our citizens," Cole continued.

"Today's coordinated actions against CJNG leadership and infrastructure, including superseding indictments and rewards totaling more than $100 million in arrest, will not end. It sends a very clear message. This is just the beginning. This is about Americans first. This is a fight against CJNG that we are just beginning, and we will not back down. DEA investigations of cases have generated more than 100 federal indictments against CJNG leaders and members and associates. We are working with our international partners to arrest, extradite, and prosecute these defendants in the United States," Cole concluded.

Blanche said the agency partnered with the State Department to offer up to $100 million for information leading to the arrest of the cartel leaders.

The snapshot of Tank Dell crumpled in that end zone and desperately pointing at his dislocated knee in December of 2024 is something to recall but not relive because it was horrible to witness.

Dell, 26, hasn't played football since that moment, raising concerns he'd never play again and amid the echoes of naysayers predicting he'd never be the same.

But Tank Dell's comeback is on. And on Wednesday that long journey took a significant step when he stepped on an NFL practice field with his teammates in full pads for the first time at Houston Texans training camp.

Dell worked during significant parts of practice, although he took some periods and drills off. Yes, this return that has Dell playing for the first time since 2024 is a process.

And neither he nor anyone else in the Texans' organization is ready to make bold predictions about the comeback other than stating the goal is competing in 2026.

That's understandable if you know the history

While catching a touchdown pass against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dell collided with teammate Jared Wayne, causing his left knee to buckle violently beneath him.

Doctors ultimately determined Dell dislocated his knee, tore multiple major knee ligaments, ruptured his patellar tendon, suffered significant damage to the meniscus and surrounding soft tissue, and sustained a vascular injury that required emergency surgery to restore blood flow to his lower leg.

The severity of the damage spoke for itself: Dell's career seemed on the brink.

For a receiver like Dell, whose game is built on sudden acceleration, sharp cuts, and change of direction, the challenge of returning to form is daunting. Even after doctors clear such a player to resume football activities, rebuilding confidence in the repaired knee, restoring strength and flexibility, and withstanding the physical demands of NFL competition can take years – if it happens at all.

Dell has made steady progress through his rehabilitation, but his recovery has been viewed as one of the league's most difficult injury comebacks because of the extraordinary extent of the damage.

"It’s been a roller coaster ride, to say the least," Dell said when he spoke to reporters in June. "It’s been a long journey, but I’m built for it, and I’m ready for it, and I was ready for it.

"I’m getting through it, and it’s light at the end of the tunnel, so I’m almost there."

Not quite.

Dell's ramp-up to a game is not one step or even one week away. The Texans have been deliberate in ordering his return and the next step is seeing how he reacts to Wednesday's practice – checking whether there's pain, swelling, discomfort.

If Dell clears that hurdle, then he'll practice again. And again. And again.

Eventually, barring a setback, Dell might get snaps in a preseason game. Then, if he clears that, the regular-season beckons.

Lindsay Clancy's former nanny says she saw no warning signs despite postpartum disclosures

A former nanny for Lindsay Clancy testified Wednesday that Clancy told her she was experiencing postpartum issues and having difficulty sleeping, but said she observed no change in Clancy’s demeanor and never believed the children were unsafe in her care.

"Not at all. She was a wonderful mom," Elaine Rossi said when a prosecutor asked whether she had any concerns about Clancy’s interactions with her children.

Rossi, who had worked as a nanny for about 15 years, said she cared for the Clancy children three days a week from September until early December 2022.

Clancy also told Rossi she was having difficulty sleeping and had been sleeping in the basement, the former nanny testified. On cross-examination, Rossi said she noticed Clancy appeared to be losing a significant amount of weight and had commented to her about it.

Rossi described Clancy as a loving and attentive mother who was concerned about the children’s safety and closely tracked Callan’s eating and sleeping schedule. She said Clancy left detailed instructions in a notebook but that she did not find the directions overbearing or controlling.

"She was a wonderful mom who loved her kids," Rossi testified. "She was very concerned with their safety."

Rossi said the family ended her employment after Thanksgiving because Clancy would not be returning to work and both parents planned to remain home with the children.

Earlier Tuesday, Clancy spoke directly in court, repeatedly answering, "Yes, Your Honor," as she agreed to let prosecutors treat certain forensic facts as established. Hours later, a state police trooper testified that investigators recovered no usable fingerprints from a knife or three exercise bands.

The developments narrowed the Massachusetts mother’s murder trial toward its central dispute: whether Clancy was criminally responsible when her three children were killed inside the family’s Duxbury home.

Before jurors entered the courtroom, Judge William Sullivan questioned Clancy about a stipulation covering certain evidence.

The stipulation is not a guilty plea or an admission that Clancy was criminally responsible for the deaths of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.

Margaret McLean, a former criminal prosecutor and trial attorney who teaches law at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, said the agreement allows the defense to steer jurors away from repetitive forensic testimony and toward Clancy’s mental state.

McLean said Clancy’s measured responses Tuesday should not be taken as evidence of her mental condition on Jan. 24, 2023.

"She sounded rational. She understands what she’s doing," McLean said. "But remember, the Commonwealth’s burden of proof is to prove that she was sane beyond a reasonable doubt at the time the crimes were committed -- not today, not two weeks ago."

Later, Massachusetts State Police Trooper Jonathan O’Loughlin testified about examining a knife and three exercise bands collected from the home.

"The bottom line is that you didn’t get any fingerprints," Reddington said.

"Correct," O’Loughlin replied.

"They can use their common sense when they go to the table and they deliberate," McLean said, "but they can’t speculate [about] things that are not in the evidence."

"As many of you know, we experienced a devastating house fire while continuing to navigate significant personal financial hardship," Beaudion explained in part of a lengthy statement issued Tuesday. "Through it all, my wife, Inkka, and our daughters have shown incredible strength. They have sacrificed more than anyone should ever be asked to sacrifice for a campaign. Today, my first responsibility is to them.

"After the fire, an opponent and those associated with the opponent, hit my family and I with intimidating threats to drop out of this race,' he said in the statement.

"Those attacks were personal and never about politics. The mental and physical safety of my family is my priority and for this reason alone, I step aside. This is a time for my family to heal and for South Dakota voters to choose a Senator. Not a time for me to talk of specific threats and attacks. But rest assured that time will come."

El-Sayed campaign backed by over $100,000 from dozens of members of group with alleged terror ties

FIRST ON FOX: GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed's campaign has collected more than $115,000 from individuals who work for or have held leadership roles with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been designated a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates and formally designated or labeled as such in Florida and Texas.

A Fox News Digital review found that El-Sayed, who has made getting "money out of politics" a central campaign rallying cry, has accepted donations from at least 41 individuals who either work for CAIR, formerly worked for CAIR, or have served in leadership positions with the organization.

The donor list includes several of CAIR's highest-ranking officials, including national Board Chair Manal Fakhoury, national Board Treasurer Eyas Abdeen, national Vice Chair Emad Sabbah, and CAIR-Michigan board member Jukaku Tayeb, El-Sayed's father-in-law.

Tayeb has been one of the largest financial backers of the super PAC supporting El-Sayed's campaign and is also part of the founding committee of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a group linked to Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood funding, Washington Free Beacon first reported.

One donor, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad, listed in FEC records under the name Nehad Hammad, drew national condemnation after saying he was "happy" to see Hamas break out of Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, and arguing Israel "does not have the right to self-defense" as an occupying power.

The contributions were not limited to Michigan. Fox News Digital identified donations from CAIR national leaders and officials affiliated with chapters in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Washington, Illinois, Minnesota and Ohio, among other states, illustrating the breadth of support El-Sayed received from within the organization's leadership ranks.

Other names on the donor list include CAIR-California Governance Board Treasurer Rubina Alvi, CAIR-California Governance Board Chair Asaad Traina, CAIR-Michigan board member Muzammil Ahmed, who contributed $11,600 to El-Sayed's campaign, CAIR-California Governance Board member Atef Ibrahim, CAIR-California Governance Board member Dina Ezzeddine, and former CAIR National Board Chair Roula Allouch.

El-Sayed has maintained ties to CAIR beyond campaign fundraising. In 2022, he appeared at a CAIR event and was paid for a speaking engagement, where he criticized Oklahoma's ban on Sharia law and compared it to the Trail of Tears, Washington Free Beacon reported.

CAIR has long been the subject of controversy over its alleged ties to Hamas. In 2007, federal prosecutors named the organization an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing case, the largest terrorism financing prosecution in U.S. history.

Although CAIR was never charged with a crime, federal prosecutors argued the organization was part of a network created to support Hamas in the United States. CAIR has denied the allegations and has challenged its inclusion as an unindicted co-conspirator.

In recent years, Florida and Texas have formally designated or labeled CAIR a terrorist organization, while the United Arab Emirates designated the group a terrorist organization in 2014 which is widely understood to stem from the UAE's view that CAIR has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In response to Fox News Digital's request for comment, CAIR denied allegations that it has ties to terrorism, citing its "Dispelling Rumors About CAIR" webpage, a memorandum stating it has "repeatedly condemned antisemitism throughout our 30 years of existence" and "for decades" condemned terrorist attacks by Hamas and other designated terrorist groups, as well as a 2009 statement saying, "We unequivocally condemn all acts of terrorism, whether carried out by al-Qa’ida, the Real IRA, FARC, Hamas, ETA, or any other group designated by the U.S. Department of State as a ‘Foreign Terrorist Organization."

CAIR also cited a National Board statement condemning antisemitism and the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks, and a 2023 editorial in which National Executive Director Nihad Awad said he agreed with the organization's condemnation of attacks on civilians.

The Senate quietly moved its solution to halt a government shutdown through another key step as the tenuous truce between Republicans and Democrats continues to hold.

In the midst of a hectic, albeit open-ended and uncertainty-laden schedule, the upper chamber advanced its continuing resolution (CR) unanimously on Wednesday.

While not the final vote, it’s a strong sign that neither side wants to thrust the federal government into uncertainty as the midterms near.

It marks a sharp departure from the shutdown politics of the last year and follows Senate Republicans' hand-wringing for months that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., would once again lead his caucus to the brink and shut the government down for political gain.

DEMOCRATS BLINK AS SCHUMER HELPS GOP CLEAR KEY SHUTDOWN HURDLE

For now, that’s not happening.

And Schumer is saying that Democrats have wanted to keep the lights on in a bipartisan manner all along.

He contended that the CR, negotiated between the top Republican and Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee, was a major victory for Democrats, particularly for its design to "stave off Trump's disgraceful effort to withhold federal grants from vital projects."

"I mean, what kind of country is this? You have two identical projects, one in a red state and one in a blue state funded the same way, same clean record," Schumer said. "He cancels the blue state one and says the red state one is OK."

If the CR passes and is signed by Trump, it will pause that rule change until Dec. 11, when the stopgap expires.

But Republicans say it’s not quite the victory Schumer thinks it is.

Three people killed in North Carolina shooting, official says

Three people have been killed and at least one person was hospitalized in what was first described as a "mass shooting" in Prospect Hill, North Carolina.

The Caswell County Sheriff's Office told Fox News Digital that four people were shot, three of whom were killed.

The sheriff also described the shooting as a "domestic family event."

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation first said the Caswell County Sheriff's Office requested assistance "regarding an early morning mass shooting on Brooks Road in Prospect Hill, North Carolina."

A Caswell County official later told WGHP that multiple people were killed in what's believed to be an isolated incident.

At least one person was hospitalized, and no suspect has been identified, the official added.

"Deputies arriving on scene found multiple people who had been shot. One person was transported to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound, and there are multiple other fatalities. Caswell County Sheriff Tony Durden immediately requested the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI)," the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation later said in a statement.

The agency said the shooting happened around 8 a.m. local time at an address on Brooks Road.

Left-wing Twitch streamer Hasan Piker rejected calls for Abdul El-Sayed to repair relationships with skeptical Democrats during the candidate’s Tuesday night election event at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, even as El-Sayed promised reconciliation ahead of the general election against Republican Mike Rogers.

"Like everyone being like, Abdul has a f--- ton of work to do mending bridges. Here's the f---ing take nuke for you, OK? You are all unbelievably Islamophobic pieces of s---, OK?" Piker said.

El-Sayed struck a conciliatory tone before the race was called, telling supporters his campaign would begin reconciling with Democrats who backed Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., in the bitter primary.

In his victory speech on Wednesday, he praised Stevens as a dedicated public servant.

Piker also framed questions about whether El-Sayed could unite Democrats as a test of whether pro-Israel organizations, consultants and voters would stop attacking the nominee long enough to defeat Rogers.

"And that question is just can El-Sayed get the pro-Israel vote? Can El-Sayed win over, not even the vote necessarily, but like can El-Sayed get the people and the group," Piker said.

Rob Flaherty, ex-White House digital strategy director for former President Joe Biden, urged El-Sayed to disregard Piker as the nominee pivoted toward the general election.

Bigfoot hunter suggests there's a conspiracy after Cornell University denies conducting DNA tests on remains

I hope you're sitting down for this one. The claims that a DNA test was conducted on the supposed remains of a Bigfoot by Cornell's Veterinary DNA Lab have been called into question.

This has taken a turn from finally having the answers we've all been looking for, — that the cryptid was a Neanderthal-human hybrid, as claimed by Charles Stuart, aka Snake the Bigfoot Hunter — to being back at the starting block.

That's because Cornell University denies conducting any such test for Snake. A spokesperson told the NY Post, "Cornell did not conduct any testing for [Stuart,] or present a report."

The documents that are being pointed to as evidence that are purported to be from the university aren't from the Ivy League school, the spokesperson confirmed.

Snake the Bigfoot Hunter, who has been called a hoaxer and scammer by others in the Bigfoot community, claims to have found the body in the Adirondack Mountains in October 2024.

He's put it on display, nicknamed it Dack, and, despite Cornell's denial, claims to have had it DNA tested. The results of which determined, according to him, that "the body has 58.5% Neanderthal and 41.5% human DNA."

The reason that the university is denying that they tested the Bigfoot remains is part of a conspiracy to keep the truth from coming out, Snake suggests.

"CORNELL IS FLAT OUT LYING — I WILL NOT BE SILENCED," he fired back at The Post when they reached out to him about it.

This isn't over according to Snake the Bigfoot Hunter. He told The Post that he's planning to release a documentary that will feature a Cornell lab technician whistleblower.

The whole conspiracy against Bigfoot is going to be revealed by the person who performed the test on the remains. Snake added, "This is essentially a David VS Goliath story and we all know who wins in the end."

Bernie Sanders tells James Carville to start his own party as moderate Dems warn against 'embracing extremism'

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., stood by far-left streamer Hasan Piker on Tuesday when pressed about a Democratic Party that included both someone like Piker and Democratic strategist James Carville, as moderate Democrats told Fox News Digital the party must abandon extremism.

"So when someone like James Carville says he doesn't want to be in the same political party as Hasan Piker, which one are you going to take?" CNN's Abby Phillip asked Sanders Tuesday night.

"Well, that's not much of a choice," Sanders said. "If Mr. Carville doesn't want to be in my party, the party that I belong to, that Piker, that El-Sayed belongs to, he can start his own party."

Sanders discussed the Michigan Senate race, where he endorsed Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who campaigned alongside Piker. El-Sayed narrowly defeated moderate Rep. Haley Stevens in the high-stakes Democratic Senate primary after the state finished counting votes on Wednesday, providing a boost for the party's left wing in its ideological battle with the center-left establishment.

HASAN PIKER, ABDUL EL-SAYED MOCK JAMES CARVILLE THREATENING TO LEAVE DEMOCRATS AND 'SWEETENING THE DEAL'

El-Sayed has campaigned with Piker and appeared on the far-left streamer's YouTube channel.

The progressive senator argued that he could turn the tables and ask if people wanted to be part of a party that accepts AIPAC money or supports an "extremist" government in Israel under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Do you want to be in a party which has not stood up to the AI industry because they got a lot of money from AI or from crypto?" he said. "So you can pick, you know, you can pick whatever you want to pick. But I think we need a big tent, and I think people like Piker should be welcomed into that, certainly."

Carville did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Center-left think tank Third Way told Fox News Digital, "Democrats lost power in part because we lost the battle of reasonableness against Donald Trump. Voters in battleground states said in Third Way's post-election poll from the 2024 race that they saw the Democratic Party as more extreme than Republicans, 44% to 41%."

"Embracing extremism will only serve to hand Republicans a key pickup opportunity and imperil Democrats elsewhere," the group warned.

Sanders was also asked if he was comfortable with Piker saying that "America deserved 9/11" during a stream in 2019.

"I think that's a dumb statement," Sanders said. "On the other hand, he has a whole lot of followers and a lot of things that he's saying that are making sense to a lot of people. I think, you know, we have to get above cancel culture. You know, when you're doing radio, whatever they do, podcasts three hours a day, you say dumb things."

"I suspect if you go back over your career, there may be one or two things that you've said that you may have regretted," the senator told Phillip. "But I think what we have got to do is look at the totality of where people are coming from and go forward."

After receiving widespread backlash at the time, Piker later said in an interview that he "obviously" did not mean America deserved the attacks and defended the viral quote as a critique of U.S. foreign policy.

Third Way told Fox News Digital, "Republicans are salivating at the opportunity to pummel swing voters with ads of El-Sayed embracing extremist stances. Videos of El-Sayed with his arms around Hasan Piker alongside anti-American and misogynistic quotes, like claiming America "deserved" 9/11, tweets about defunding the police, and photos of El-Sayed calling to abolish ICE will fill the timelines of voters in the middle."

"Democratic candidates like El-Sayed need to win over 60% of moderate voters to take back power and put a check on Donald Trump," the group added. "That’s not spin — that’s math. So El-Sayed has work to do as he turns to the general election and it starts with dropping the extremism."

JAMES CARVILLE WORRIES ABOUT THE 'END OF THE TWO-PARTY SYSTEM' AS DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS GAIN POPULARITY

Carville told Fox News on Sunday's "The Briefing" that he would not be in the same party as Piker.

"I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker," he said. "If he becomes a force in a Democratic Party, I'm out of here. I have no intention of ever being in the same political party with that guy."

Carville predicted that one of them was going to leave the party.

"I can't sit here and tell you for certain how this is going to turn out, but the one thing I can tell you for certain, Hasan Piker and James Carville are not going to be in the same political party," he said. "One of us is going to leave. It might even be me."

Ahead of the Democratic primary on Tuesday, Piker spoke with El-Sayed in a video for his YouTube channel. The two began by discussing the "full-on freakout" caused by Piker choosing to campaign for El-Sayed and reacted to Carville's remarks about leaving the party.

Tlaib moves to block ICE airport arrests, says TSA helping target immigrants

Progressive Democrats are taking their war against President Donald Trump's handling of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the skies with a new effort led by far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.

Tlaib introduced a bill on Tuesday aimed at blocking ICE and Border Patrol agents from accessing air travelers' data called the No TSA Data for ICE Act, which would curb federal immigration officials' ability to arrest noncitizens at U.S. airports.

The legislation would stop ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) from being able to use data gathered by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which includes passenger screening records, travel records and personally identifiable passenger information purchased from private data brokers.

A TSA spokesperson ripped into Tlaib in response and argued the bill would make the U.S. vulnerable to terror threats. "As we approach the 25th anniversary of the horrific terror attacks of 9/11, it’s not shocking that some in the Democrat Party would want to neuter the Department of Homeland Security’s ability to protect Americans from terrorists," the spokesperson said.

"DHS was established to prevent information silos that could create blind spots against threats. Does Rep. Tlaib want our enemies to be empowered to attack the U.S. again?" the TSA spokesperson said.

The bill would also block the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from barring an individual from trusted traveler programs like TSA PreCheck based on their First Amendment-protected activity, like attending protests or speaking out against the administration.

Tlaib's bill has little chance of getting a vote in the current Republican-controlled Congress.

If enacted, it could significantly curb the ability of DHS' separate entities to coordinate immigration enforcement.

The Michigan Democrat said in a statement that the TSA was "complicit in ICE expanding its chaos and cruelty to target our communities in our airports."

"Immigrants should be able to safely fly in this country without the fear of arrest or deportation."

Democrats have near-universally hammered the Trump administration's immigration crackdown since the president came back to the White House in January 2025.

FIRST ON FOX: After her 18-year-old daughter, Hailey King, was run over by an illegal immigrant driving a truck 36 mph above the speed limit, Angel Mom Kathy Hall promised her dying daughter she was "never going to stop fighting for justice for her."

In an interview obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital from advocacy group The American Border Story, Hall recounted her daughter’s grisly killing, which, she said, launched her crusade to make sure that no other parents and children undergo the same fate.

While riding a scooter with a friend in Fayetteville, Arkansas, King was hit from behind by a speeding truck driven by illegal alien Sergio Rodriguez. According to Hall, her daughter was on her way home for dinner. Upon impact, King was thrown onto the hood of the truck. Hall said Rodriguez continued driving, swerving into another lane and sending King headfirst onto the street. King suffered a brain stem hemorrhage, inner and outer cranial hemorrhages, a burst spleen and a lacerated liver. She died shortly after the Nov. 7, 2016, incident, leaving behind her 2-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.

Hall said Rodriguez was sentenced to 17 years in prison for manslaughter, battery and leaving the scene of a crime. After just one and a half years, Hall said she was notified that Rodriguez had become eligible for parole, forcing her to repeatedly relive her trauma each time she goes to court to testify against his release.

Hall said that authorities showed up at her door the night of the incident and told her, "You need to come with us to the hospital."

She said they took her to her daughter’s hospital room where she found her "sitting up at a kind of an angle and her eyes were wide open. But she was like staring off into space."

"I knew right when I looked at her that she was gone," said Hall. "So, I sat down with her and talked to her and told her how much I love her. Told her I was never going to stop fighting for justice for her… and then her heart stopped."

Besides King, Hall said that her daughter’s friend, Osmin "David" Gutierrez, was "trapped underneath the truck for over a mile" as the illegal immigrant continued driving. She said that "when sparks started happening, [Rodriguez] pulled into an apartment complex. And when he did, David's torso was – his legs detached, [and he] was left in the driveway screaming for his life."

"He was still conscious," she said.

Gutierrez died two years later from a blood clot resulting from his lost legs.

Despite her promise, Hall said getting justice for her daughter has been a "hard long road." After the incident, Hall said Rodriguez "disappeared for three days" before police found him. When he was apprehended, Hall said Rodriguez was released on bond in less than an hour.

She believes that Rodriguez was "protected every step of the way" during the trial process while she and her family "were treated like we were the criminals when we'd go into court."

Despite his immigration status, Hall said a decision was made not to notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. She said she was told that "if we would have informed ICE that he was here and he was illegal, that they would have just picked him up and taken him down to Texas and sent him back and he would have never had to deal with the death of [her] daughter."

At the time, Hall said the family felt this "was kind of putting us in a rock and a hard place."

"It's so confusing to be there and say, ‘OK, do I want him to be deported right now or do I just want him to spend time either way and get him out?’" she said. "We had no idea, you know, a choice like that. What kind of decision do you make?"

Due to parole hearings, Hall said that she and her family "have to relive this right now every two years."

"As soon as the pain dulls a little bit, you have to go back through the whole thing preparing to try to keep him behind bars again," she said. "My daughter, the only thing she did wrong that day was being on the back of a scooter coming home for dinner. She didn't deserve this."

"She doesn't deserve for her daughter to not know who she is and how much she loved her. She doesn't deserve any of it, and she deserves to have the justice I promised to her as she was dying," Hall continued, concluding, "I'll never stop fighting; I'm going to do everything I can to keep my promise to her."
