Fetterman calls Zohran Mamdani a 'clown' over push to arrest Netanyahu in New York City

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman took fresh aim at New York City Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Sunday, branding him a "clown" over his repeated interest in having Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested if he visits New York for the United Nations General Assembly this September.

"[He's] such a tough guy to say that kind of thing. He has no way to do that," Fetterman said on "Sunday Morning Futures."

"America's not even part of that corrupt court," he continued, referring to the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu.

"He's [Mamdani is] just a clown to even say that, so he won't try that. Just sit down and focus on other... problems that they have in New York. That's really not your purview. You and I know that. Sit down."

Mamdani has repeatedly said he would seek to have Netanyahu arrested if the Israeli leader travels to New York City, citing the International Criminal Court's November 2024 arrest warrant accusing Netanyahu of war crimes and crimes against humanity stemming from Israel's war against Hamas.

Most recently, the far-left mayor said his administration is actively exploring whether the city has the legal authority to arrest Netanyahu, calling him a "war criminal" who "belongs in The Hague," during an interview with The New York Times.

Netanyahu has denied the allegations, and Israel rejects the ICC's jurisdiction over the matter.

The United States is not a party to the Rome Statute that established the ICC and does not recognize the court's jurisdiction over U.S. citizens or Israeli officials.

Fox News Digital previously reached out to the mayor's office asking whether Mamdani stands by calling Netanyahu a "war criminal," whether City Hall is actively consulting with the Law Department regarding possible legal action against the Israeli leader and whether the mayor would direct the NYPD to arrest Netanyahu if attorneys determined the city had legal authority. The mayor's office did not immediately respond, however.

Meanwhile, Fetterman has emerged as one of Israel's most outspoken defenders in Congress, simultaneously acting as one of Mamdani's — and the progressive left's — greatest internal party critics.

Speaking to Fox News' Maria Bartiromo, Fetterman discussed his bond over Israel with late South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham and why he would reconsider his position in the Democratic Party should its official platform adopt anti-Israel terms.

"That would force me to kind of reevaluate should I remain as a Democrat," he shared, later adding, "If we became the kind of party that would embrace someone like Hasan Piker, maybe my party doesn't want like a reasonable common sense kind of Democrat that reminds people that standing with Israel... used to be part of our core values and one of the reasons why I've been I'm proud to be a Democrat."

A Hawaii Supreme Court justice used a ruling overturning a decades-old criminal conviction to deliver a blistering rebuke of Chief Justice John Roberts' Supreme Court, accusing the nation's highest court of weakening constitutional rights, damaging democracy and advancing a political agenda.

Justice Todd Eddins authored the 91-page majority opinion Wednesday in State v. Granillo, a case involving a man convicted in 1990 of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman on Maui.

The court ordered a new trial after concluding that hair and fiber evidence presented by an FBI expert relied on forensic science that has since been discredited.

But in roughly eight pages of the opinion, Eddins argued Hawaii's courts should not look to the Roberts court when interpreting the state constitution, using the case to deliver an unusually sharp critique of the nation's highest court.

"When six justices walk away from those they are supposed to protect, state constitutions hold the line," Eddins wrote, referring to the court's six conservative justices. "That is not defiance. That is the design."

Eddins argued that Hawaii's Constitution provides stronger protections than the federal Constitution as interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court and said the court has abandoned landmark civil rights principles.

"The Court that now defines federal due process does not honor the work of 1954," Eddins wrote. "It revives the work of 1857. The work of 1896."

Eddins was referring to Brown v. Board of Education, ruled in 1954, which ended racial segregation in public schools, and Dred Scott v. Sandford, the infamous 1857 decision denying citizenship to Black Americans and Plessy v. Ferguson, the 1896 ruling that upheld racial segregation.

Eddins argued that the Roberts court no longer reflects the constitutional principles established in Brown v. Board of Education. Instead, he argued the court's originalist approach relies on the same type of constitutional interpretation in the discredited Dred Scott and Plessy decisions.

"Today’s hubristic originalists use the same method to control modern life," Eddins wrote.

"The Court overrides what Congress passed," Eddins continued. "It overrides what the people chose. All to serve its own ends. What this Court has done to constitutional rights, democratic institutions, and the rule of law explains why Hawaiʻi’s Constitution takes no instruction from it."

Throughout the opinion, Eddins pointed to many of the Roberts court's most consequential decisions as evidence that constitutional protections have been weakened, including Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which overturned the federal constitutional right to abortion; Citizens United v. FEC on campaign finance; Rucho v. Common Cause on partisan gerrymandering; Trump v. United States on presidential immunity; and New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which expanded Second Amendment protections.

Eddins accused the Roberts court of adopting a "colorblind" approach to the equal protection clause that, in his view, ignores the amendment's original purpose of protecting formerly enslaved Black Americans.

"The Roberts Court sees only white," he wrote. "It refuses to acknowledge who the Equal Protection Clause was written to protect."

He also suggested that recent Supreme Court decisions have repeatedly expanded the power of government officials and wealthy interests while reducing protections for individual rights.

"A court that systematically dismantles democratic safeguards, steamrolls constitutional liberties, and tramples human dignity does not chart the course for the Hawaiʻi Constitution," he wrote.

THOMAS LEAVES NOTHING LEFT UNSAID ON RACIAL GERRYMANDERING DECISION: ‘GO FURTHER’

The opinion quickly drew criticism from legal observers who said it was highly unusual for a state supreme court opinion to devote so much space to criticizing the U.S. Supreme Court.

"The Court issues an unhinged attack on the legitimacy of the Supreme Court," Iowa Solicitor General Eric Wessan wrote on X. "I haven't ever seen something like this. And it's not good."

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley similarly described the opinion as "devoid of judicial restraint and decorum."

"The Hawaii Supreme Court just issued a truly shocking opinion that unleashed a torrent of rage and recrimination against the majority of the United States Supreme Court, including suggesting that they are de facto racists," Turley wrote on X.

The opinion comes just weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court handed Hawaii a major loss in Wolford v. Lopez, striking down the state's so-called "vampire rule." In a 6-3 decision, the court ruled Hawaii could not require gun owners to get a property owner's permission before carrying a gun into businesses and other private property open to the public.

Eddins has served on the Hawaii Supreme Court since 2020 after being appointed by former Democratic Gov. David Ige.

Brexton Busch found his way back to Victory Lane on Friday night, but this one meant far more than your ordinary checkered flag.

The 11-year-old son of late NASCAR champion Kyle Busch won the restricted micro sprint feature at Port City Raceway in Oklahoma — his first victory since his father died May 21 at age 41 following a severe illness.

Brexton started 14th before a major wreck on the opening lap sent him toward the back of the field. From there, he methodically worked his way forward and completed the emotional comeback.

"And he ended up with the WIN!!!!" Samantha Busch wrote on her Instagram Stories.

But for the Busch family, the celebration was understandably bittersweet.

"This is his first win since Kyle’s passing," Samantha wrote. "There was a lot of emotions to say the very least."

"Beyond proud of him not just for winning but all that he’s navigating at a young age," she continued, "beyond shattered Kyle isn’t here to be a part of this, beyond grateful for all the support and amazing people we have around us."

Samantha later reflected on how much Kyle loved sharing race days with his son.

"Watching him celebrate all I could think about was Kyle," she wrote. "There was nothing that made him happier than watching Brex race, spending the day tinkering on his car and then being the first one sprinting to Victory Lane with that huge grin on his face."

Brexton also opened up about what the win meant to him after an incredibly difficult two months.

"My first win since my dad passed. I don’t like to talk about it much, but the last two months have been really tough," Brexton wrote on Instagram. "I’m missing my crew chief, my driver coach, my dad, the guy who I looked up to more [than] anyone."

Kyle was deeply involved in Brexton’s budding racing career, serving not only as his father but also as his mentor, mechanic and biggest supporter. Brexton has continued competing since Kyle’s death, returning to the track less than two weeks later at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Friday’s victory came with another meaningful connection to his dad, as Brexton also competed in Kyle’s green No. 18 car during the outlaw portion of the event.

Kyle’s final Instagram post was a birthday tribute to Brexton, shared just days before his death.

"Happy Birthday Brexton!!! Your mom & I are so proud of who you’re turning out to be!" Kyle wrote. "You’re the best kid on & off the track, you amaze us every day."

The NFL has found a way to dominate news headlines regardless of whether the season is happening or not. It could be the draft, free agency, preseason, minicamps, whatever, there is always something happening in the news with football. It can be overwhelming at times, but at others it is a nice reminder that the season is right around the corner. One team in the news for the wrong reasons has been the New England Patriots.

Last year, the Patriots had an unexpectedly good season. They won their division, knocking the Buffalo Bills back down a bit. They had their second-year quarterback looking like an MVP candidate.

Their first-year (with the franchise) coach led them to a great turnaround. The team went 14-3 in the regular season. In their Wild Card round game, they crushed the Chargers 16-3. Then, against Houston, they destroyed the Texans in a forgettable game for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Finally, they took on the Broncos and barely beat them in the AFC Conference Championship.

Offseason additions and subtractions

The biggest addition for the Patriots came recently as they traded for A.J. Brown. We know that when Brown is motivated, he can be one of the top wide receivers in the league. I think with this new team, he should be ready. He also goes to a pass-first quarterback instead of a run-first quarterback. They addressed some of their offensive line needs via the draft and free agency, and that could help. The biggest loss was Stefon Diggs, but he was replaced by Brown or even Romeo Doubs.

Roster

I like the offensive weapons that New England has surrounded Drake Maye with. There are very few positions that I feel like are lacking. I also think the team should still have a lot of strengths on defense. They have a good pass rush, and they have some solid players in the secondary. I don’t know that either will be elite, and most teams take a step back after the Super Bowl (especially after losses).

Betting outlook

After making it to the Super Bowl and being embarrassed, the expectation was that this season was going to be another step forward for the young club. Instead, most of the conversation this offseason has been about an alleged affair between their head coach, Mike Vrabel, and a reporter, Diana Russini. This will likely be a distraction until the season starts, as it seems like every few days, new pictures or pieces of the affair come out. I am bringing this up in a betting article because I think it is important to figure out if this will be a distraction or help the team focus on football. I’m sure there will be questions, but winning cures all.

Unfortunately, I don’t see them winning this year. Last year was a fluke to me. I need to see Maye do it again before I believe it. Vrabel will have his defense ready, but I like the under 10.5 for them.

Trump's election integrity speech: 7 takeaways every American should know

In his speech to the nation on July 16, President Donald Trump made a fundamental point seemingly lost on his critics:

Every American, whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, independent or otherwise, should be able to agree that we deserve the most secure, honest, and fair election system anywhere in the world. Secure elections should not be a partisan issue.

Yet Democratic critics are already disputing the evidence and conclusions Trump presented.

'SHADOW GOVERNMENT': TRUMP CLAIMS INTEL COMMUNITY BRAGGED ABOUT HIDING CHINESE MEDDLING

Here are the seven biggest takeaways about the vulnerabilities in our election process, as outlined by the president:

1. In his speech, Trump said newly declassified intelligence showed that China had illicitly acquired or attempted to acquire voter-registration information involving as many as 220 million Americans across multiple states. He characterized it as the "largest compromise of election data in history," involving the theft of "220 million U.S. voter files."

This allegation is shocking but not surprising. The Chinese engaged in a similar hack during the Obama administration, when they stole the personnel files of roughly 22 million current and former federal employees (including me) from the Office of Personnel Management. The Chinese military maintains units devoted to cyber operations targeting foreign governments and industries.

CHINA DISMISSES TRUMP ELECTION INTERFERENCE ACCUSATIONS AS 'ENTIRELY FABRICATED,' THREATENS COUNTERMEASURES

2. Instead of warning officials in the 18 affected states, President Trump alleged that individuals within the intelligence agencies "worked to actively suppress and downplay information about the extent of China’s" cybersecurity attacks, without even briefing the president or members of Congress. According to the president, an analyst admitted in an email that officials "deliberately massaged the presidential daily briefing to withhold" this information, while another FBI official said she was running a "shadow government" to keep intelligence about China’s meddling from becoming known.

If true, this is outrageous behavior. The president has instructed federal agencies to immediately provide states with all the information needed to remedy the vulnerabilities that allegedly allowed this to occur. That should have been done when the breach was first discovered.

3. According to President Trump, CIA reports indicate that the Chinese worked to "undermine domestic confidence" in the president. That effort included "efforts to use Chinese contacts with big U.S. companies to influence U.S. business leaders to turn against the president" as well as to use "U.S. journalists who had reported negatively on the U.S. president." These allegations obviously need further investigation.

4. The administration said DHS database comparisons flagged approximately 278,000 voter-registration records nationwide as potentially associated with noncitizens. Fox News Digital separately reported that DHS letters alleged more than 256,000 potential matches in four states. A release from the Department of Homeland Security indicates that 10 states have voluntarily participated in this program, and DHS reviewed the public files from California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada, which have refused to cooperate. The president claims that "since many Democrat states refuse to share their voter files the real number [of registered aliens] is actually much higher than that." But even this "limited analysis" should raise concerns, according to the president — and he is right.

5. The president says that intelligence reports assess "that centralized election-related data repositories, such as voter registration databases, poll books, and other official election websites are most vulnerable to exploitation, and adversaries could use this access to these systems to disrupt election processes." He says Americans "were blatantly lied to about the security of our election infrastructure…They’re vulnerable and they’re easily compromised and people within our government knew that." This calls for complete cybersecurity audits by state officials of their electronic election systems.

6. According to the president, much of this information was found in "burn bags," which are used for classified documents marked for destruction but, because of "gross incompetence," were never burned. The president has directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the CIA to investigate "how and why such crucial information was hidden, to fire those involved in the cover-up and to file criminal charges, if appropriate." That is clearly the correct course of action.

7. Finally, the president demanded that the Senate pass the SAVE America Act, which would implement voter ID and proof-of-citizenship requirements for federal elections. He is also right about that — this is needed to fix the current registration "honor" system, which is too often dishonored.

The president’s presentation was not what his critics probably expected. As Fox News’s Ashley DiMella reported, there were no claims that China changed votes or altered election results.

But Trump outlined allegations of serious cybersecurity problems that have now been uncovered, including a Chinese influence campaign, and said the information was apparently hidden from him, the public, Congress, and state election officials.

Those who claim none of this is true are doing so before they have even reviewed the treasure trove of formerly classified documents that has now been released, and before any states have even begun to investigate the potential compromise of their election systems.

It seems obvious that all of this should — indeed, must — be investigated. That is the only way to address alleged existing vulnerabilities and make sure no future elections are compromised.

A failure to do so will further damage the confidence the American people have in the election process, rather than the president’s decision to bring these intelligence assessments to light. Based on my research, the evidence from states that have implemented election-integrity reforms, such as voter ID, makes it clear that such reforms improve public confidence and turnout in our elections.

That is what we should all be aiming for.

Trump administration touts more than $1B in UN budget cuts as reform push gains momentum

UNITED NATIONS — The Trump administration says it has secured more than $1 billion in cuts to United Nations budgets in just six months, calling the reductions evidence that an institution long considered resistant to change is finally beginning to reform.

The latest milestone came June 30, when all 193 U.N. member states approved a peacekeeping budget of approximately $5.1 billion for the coming fiscal year — about $550 million, or 9.7%, less than the previous year.

Combined with a 15% reduction to the U.N.'s regular budget approved in December, U.S. officials say the agreements amount to more than $1 billion in cuts to assessed U.N. budgets, a level they describe as unprecedented.

INTERNATIONAL ‘DEEP STATE’ PRIME TARGET OF TRUMP-STYLE CANDIDATE FOR UN CHIEF

Assessed budgets are funded through mandatory contributions charged to member states under a formula based largely on the size of their economies.

"On June 30th, with U.S. leadership, all 193 countries came together again for the second time in six months," U.S. Ambassador for U.N. Management and Reform Jeff Bartos told Fox News Digital. "We've achieved over a billion dollars of savings in six months, which is unprecedented. Any one cut would be unprecedented. The totality of the reforms is monumental."

The agreement comes as the United Nations faces mounting financial pressure and prepares for a leadership transition in 2027, with Secretary-General António Guterres set to leave office at the end of his second term. At the same time, the Trump administration has made reform a central pillar of its U.N. strategy, arguing the organization has become overly bureaucratic and inefficient.

In response to questions from Fox News Digital, U.N. spokesman Stéphane Dujarric confirmed that the peacekeeping budget was reduced by roughly $550 million and the regular budget by 15%, describing both as "unprecedented reductions."

US URGES DONORS TO ABANDON UNRWA FUNDING AS UN DEFENDS AGENCY'S MISSION

Bartos argues the reforms reflect sustained pressure from the Trump administration and months of negotiations led by the U.S. Mission.

"The new budget, this reformed budget, the enhanced efficiency changes the culture of how the U.N. looks at peacekeeping," Bartos said. "Every dollar has to achieve impact on the ground."

He pointed to the U.N. Mission in South Sudan as an example, saying the United States worked to streamline the mission's mandate before reducing its budget accordingly.

Another reform highlighted by the administration changes how the U.N. handles unused budget credits.

Until now, U.N. financial rules required the organization to return unspent funds to member states even if those contributions had never actually been paid, a practice critics said worsened the organization's recurring liquidity crisis.

The General Assembly voted on June 30 to introduce, on a four-year trial basis, a new methodology under which unspent funds will be returned only when backed by cash actually received.

Bartos said the change could save the organization more than $1 billion over the next three years. That projected figure is separate from the more than $1 billion in budget reductions already approved over the past six months.

He called the change another example of "common-sense" reform and said it could save the organization more than $1 billion over the next three years.

The United Nations likewise welcomed the change, though officials noted it had been a longstanding priority of Secretary-General António Guterres.

"I have been pushing for this reform for almost a decade," Guterres said after the vote. He described the previous system as a "Kafkaesque cycle" in which the organization was expected "to give back cash that did not exist."

Dujarric said the reform would allow the U.N. to manage resources "in a more predictable and responsible way" while helping ensure operational continuity, particularly for peacekeeping missions.

Bartos insists the latest budget agreements are only the beginning.

Among the administration's next priorities are reforms to staff compensation, employee benefits and the U.N. pension system, areas he argues consume resources that could otherwise support humanitarian operations and peacekeeping missions.

"We're going to continue to see us push whether it's on benefits, whether it's on staff compensation, whether it's on the pension system," Bartos said. "There's massive numbers of additional reforms that our team is working on right now."

He also suggested reform will remain a central issue as member states begin selecting the next secretary-general.

"We're going to select the next secretary-general," Bartos said. "That reform momentum that has been growing over the last 15, 18 months ... you'll see that continuing in 2027 with the new secretary-general."

Europe's fires reveal deadly mix of record heat, human error, arson and land mismanagement

Since the beginning of the month, France and Spain have been hit by massive wildfires. Some observed the fires looked like a scene from Armageddon. The infernos destroyed buildings and forests alike, where the epic heat wave in Europe has hit record levels in many parts of the bloc. The heat has already led to thousands of deaths. However, the fires are not just due to the record heat.

Notably, last week, the famous Fontainebleau Forest near Paris was set alight, destroying 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) of woodland. Approximately 1,000 people were evacuated, and 850 emergency firefighters were deployed — efforts to end the fire could take weeks.

The latest data from France's Ministry of Agriculture says nine out of 10 wildfires are caused by people. Often it's campfires, unextinguished cigarettes or similar negligence. It's also true that both countries have regulations that prohibit clearing of certain protected lands, according to information from each country. "Policies of nature restoration and building have made it hard in some cases to clear the brush that piles up," Daniel Lacalle, chief economist at Madrid-based investment company Tressis, told Fox News Digital.

The causes of fires in the U.S. are quite similar to those in France. According to data from the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) and the U.S. Forest Service, 85% of fires are caused by people. However, the total wildfire burns in the U.S. from lightning-caused fires tends to burn more acreage because they often strike in remote, hard-to-reach areas.

France’s Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said experts found 10 points around a little more than half of a mile radius that were used for ignition, according to a report by France Insider. It also found that pattern "suggests a voluntary origin," the minister reportedly said.

France 24 reported that dozens of people have been arrested across the nation for either accidentally or deliberately starting fires. On a visit to the Fontainebleau forest last week, French President Emmanuel Macron said the country "has never faced so many outbreaks of fire across the country since the end of World War II." He added, according to the France 24 report, "Here, as everywhere else in France, there will be zero tolerance" for arsonists, "because it is, of course, our national territory that is under attack every time a fire breaks out."

Meanwhile, Spain has been dealing with three separate wildfires, one of which has been stopped. A fire in Zaragoza destroyed 12,000 hectares (29,653 acres) and resulted in the evacuation of six separate villages. Fires in Madrid and Guadalajara impacted at least 2,000 people. "The speed of these fires is something that even the most experienced firefighters are saying they have never seen anything like this," Lacalle told Fox News Digital.

A fire in the Spanish Andalusia region killed at least 13 people, including a 93-year-old woman who was injured in the fire at Los Gallardos.

Spain has vast areas of unused land with most of the population living in cities. "Some unused areas have not been cleaned up," Lacalle told Fox News Digital. "Because they have uncleared scrub land, there is a higher likelihood of a disastrous fire." That uncleared scrub that gets dried out by an extreme heat wave effectively creates a tinderbox that ignites quickly, even with a partially smoked cigarette.

Are there more wildfires happening across the globe than there used to be? Not necessarily. The volume of land burned declined 26% between 2002 and 2021, according to data from Global Wildfire Information System (2026). "It seems to be getting more attention," Gilbertie told Fox News Digital. "It’s also the manifestation of the increased weather volatility.

The number of people exposed to wildfires has grown by an average of 382,700 per year during the period from 2002 to 2021, an increase of 40%, according to a study by the University of East Anglia in England. The study says, "This surge in human exposure was driven mainly by population growth and migration into fire-prone landscapes." Over the same period, the amount of land burned decreased by 26%, according to the UEA study.

Separately, the extreme heat across France over the last month has caused a high death rate. The Guardian reported that some 2,000 people died at the end of June. The heat wave is forecast to continue through August.

France is the epicenter of the excessive heat, which has resulted in many outdoor events being canceled, especially in the south of the country. "Europe is being hit by a unique situation," Hackett told Fox News Digital. New York City health officials announced Saturday that a second person has died in connection with a growing Legionnaires' disease outbreak on Manhattan's Upper East Side as the number of confirmed infections continued to rise.

"We are heartbroken to learn that another New Yorker has lost their life to Legionnaires’ disease on the Upper East Side. Our deepest condolences are with their loved ones as they grieve," New York City Health Commissioner Dr. Alister F. Martin said in a statement.

"While we mourn this loss, the data are also encouraging," Martin continued. "Our aggressive strategy of testing, enforcement, and remediation appears to have stopped the source of exposure."

Amid this summer's sweltering temperatures, many people are finding relief by sipping fruity cocktails and smoothies or drinking fruit juices.

But a doctor is warning millions of people taking common medications such as statins and antidepressants that ingesting grapefruit — a common "healthy" ingredient in many summer snacks and drinks — can have serious consequences.

"Grapefruit is a pleasant snack for most, but it is important to disclose large amounts of grapefruit use to your doctor because it can interact with an array of medications," Dr. Nicole James, a doctor based in Illinois, told news agency SWNS.

Common cocktails that contain grapefruit include palomas, greyhounds, some margaritas and sea breezes.

"Grapefruit contains natural compounds — primarily furanocoumarins and flavonoids. These inhibit an important enzyme called cytochrome P450 3A4," James said.

This enzyme is referred to as CYP3A4.

It plays an important role in breaking down oral medications so that the body can properly process them.

"When you ingest grapefruit, it blocks this enzyme," said James, who is also a clinical research fellow in the department of dermatology at Stanford University.

Drug concentrations in the blood can rise too fast and to dangerously high levels, Harvard Medical School also noted, as Fox News Digital previously reported.

"Patients taking statins could experience higher levels than normal, which can cause muscle breakdown and cramps," James noted.

Meanwhile, patients taking certain blood pressure medications like amlodipine "may experience dizziness and low blood pressure."

Sedatives can also pose a risk, with medications like midazolam being impacted by grapefruit and causing "extreme drowsiness and even slowed breathing," she said.

Antidepressants like sertraline also come with a warning to avoid the fruit.

For those who think it would take a lot grapefruit to have an effect — James said this isn’t the case.

"As little as one grapefruit or 200 mL of juice can cause a clinically relevant increase in medication concentrations, and the effect can last up to 72 hours because grapefruit irreversibly inactivates CYP3A4 enzyme," she said.

People should keep an eye on mixed fruit juices, smoothies and cocktails, as grapefruit juice is a common ingredient, she said.

"So I think this is just the level of extremism and radicalism we're seeing. People in DSA will try to minimize it and say it's just a few people... they're a small minority. But... look at the executive board. It's full of this alphabet soup of extremist caucuses."

Altman urged Democrats to stand up against a "radicalized base," as far-left DSA candidates secure wins nationwide.

"These people are not operating in good faith," he said. "DSA members are not in the Democratic Party to operate in good faith."

The DSA's recently released Workers Deserve More program called for shifting police funding to public services as a step toward abolishing police and prisons. The program also advocated abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ending immigration detention and deportations, legalizing migration and granting amnesty to immigrants regardless of status.

"Soccer was during the spring, and so was AAU basketball. I was leaving for some USA Basketball stuff, and would miss part of the high school soccer season. Then I’d came back and I felt like a bad teammate, so I eventually gave it up after my sophomore year. But I loved it."

Seems like she made a good choice.

But Clark said the skills she developed on the soccer field still helped shape the basketball superstar she became.

"The best thing it did for me was obviously foot speed, but also reading angles. That’s what soccer is — getting your body in the correct angle, leading people on passing, putting the ball on the perfect spot where they can run onto," Clark said.

"That helped me as a passer, understanding angles and leading people, manipulating where I want them to go. And it helped me get in incredible shape for basketball."

Hall is starring on the FOX celebrity competition series "Nation's Dumbest," hosted by Jack Whitehall. At the press event, Hall explained the secret to longevity in Hollywood.

"Having a thick skin, and just being game and just wanting to work with the best people you can," he began. "Just being persistent and tenacious. And thank God I was born with a hard head. But you have to have a thick skin."

"You have to really want and love what you do. So I think that's it."

"[I] feel very blessed. This is my 51st year doing this, and this was really a unique thing, because it was something I never expected," Hall continued, referring to "Nation's Dumbest."

"It really took me by surprise, and it was really lot of fun," he said. "So, it was about learning that lesson, too. Staying open to new opportunities, just being cool with it and having fun. So, we really had a great time, all of us. It was nice."

"Nation's Dumbest" is FOX's new celebrity competition series that puts a comedic twist on the traditional game show format. Hosted by Whitehall, the series challenges 12 celebrities to return to "summer school," where they compete in a mix of classroom-inspired trivia, physical games and school-themed challenges.

But unlike most competition shows, the objective isn't to win — it's to be eliminated. Each week, the contestant who performs the best "graduates" from the competition, while those who struggle remain in the game. In the end, the last celebrity standing earns the title no one wants: "The Nation's Dumbest."

Hall told Fox News Digital that he saw some parallels from his days on the "Breakfast Club" and being back in a classroom setting on FOX's new competition series.

"Do you know what, there was some parallels for sure. We all got thrown together. We're all stuck, we couldn't really go anywhere. And honestly, we all really got along. It was coming into a year where I wasn't sure where the next job was gonna come, like we often feel in this industry. And I got the call, and I was just really excited by it," he said.

"And I really embraced it and I just went up to Toronto and had a good time shooting it and everybody was really cool. So we had a really good time," Hall concluded.

Argentina at +255 to win the World Cup final is a value bet Lionel Messi backers cannot ignore

June 11 marked the start of the World Cup. We saw Mexico take down South Africa and South Korea defeat Czechia. Since then, there have been great matches, dull matches, wins, ties, losses, controversies, and some amazing soccer.

After today, there will be no more soccer to enjoy – well, there will, but most of us won’t pay attention. Let’s try to close the World Cup with a win.

There are some games where it just looks like one team is significantly better than its opponent. I can tell you that Spain looked like they were men playing with boys when I watched them play against France. Sure, they had a lead, and their main goal at that point was to play keep away. They did it brilliantly. The stats show that the splits were very close, but if you watched it, Spain always looked like the dominant team.

There isn’t one major star on the Spanish team, but they are finding ways to win as a team, which can often be the more effective method. This win did come with a bit of controversy as the first goal they scored on a penalty was… interesting. A French player was trying to kick a ball in the air, and the Spanish player purposefully ran into his leg, causing a penalty. Some things about soccer are goofy, but if that’s the rule, it was a smart play. I don’t expect them to get the benefit of the doubt against Argentina.

That is mostly because Argentina seems to be able to do whatever it wants on the field, and the referees don’t seem to care. It was very interesting to see that Lionel Messi stepped on a player’s foot prior to the game-winning assist. That exact same thing happened when an Egyptian player stepped on an Argentinian player’s foot prior to a full field navigation and goal score. The goal was negated for Egypt, but upheld for Argentina.

Regardless of calls, Argentina has found ways to win. When they get their first goal, it feels like the second isn’t that far behind. It's almost like dominoes, where they are just finding the right spot to attack, and then the whole thing goes as soon as they get the first one in place.

Messi remains elite and will win the Golden Boot if he scores a goal because he has more assists than Kylian Mbappe. There is a lot left for them to accomplish, but the World Cup win would be more important than the Golden Boot.

Perhaps the smart thing to do, knowing that Argentina is getting so many calls, or perhaps the benefit of the doubt, if you prefer, is not to bet on FIFA games. That’s not my way, though. I didn’t come this far in this World Cup journey to just give up. I want to keep betting it.

I’m going to take Argentina. I really can’t believe that they are +255 with the best player in history on their side. I get that Spain looked absolutely dominant, but Argentina has been toying with teams and then absolutely destroying them. I definitely could regret this choice, but after they’ve scored nine of 11 goals in the 79th minute or later, I just don’t see quit in Argentina. Give me them to repeat as champions.

Spanish forward Borja Iglesias is going into the biggest match of his career – the World Cup final against Argentina – on Sunday afternoon at New York/New Jersey Stadium.

Should Spain win, Iglesias will be one of the players who will shake President Donald Trump’s hand after the match. However, Iglesias is no fan of the president and made it known while he talked to the Spanish media on Saturday.

"I don't want to go to prison," he said of shaking Trump’s hand, via All Out Soccer. "I hope to greet him at a time when we are all very happy, and that it passes very quickly and I can forget about it.

"I don't think this is the time to create controversy. People know perfectly well what I think. I would love to do many things, but the reality is that even if people think I am all-powerful, I don't have that much power to tackle certain things."

Iglesias has previously expressed his support for pro-Palestinian protesters and was outspoken against the former Spanish soccer federation boss who departed his post after he kissed a player following the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

I am once again begging the folks in USC’s athletic department to crack open a book.

Or pull up Google. Watch a YouTube explainer. Ask an English professor walking across campus. Anything.

Because for the second time in less than two years, the USC Trojans have attempted to build football hype around a famous piece of Greek literature without stopping to consider one very important detail:

The Trojans lose spectacularly.

With Christopher Nolan’s "The Odyssey" taking over theaters and social media, USC football decided to capitalize on the moment. The program posted its own version of the movie poster featuring its famous Trojan helmet and the words, "Our Odyssey begins August 29."

Very cool, dramatic and topical. There is just one tiny problem.

"The Odyssey" is the story of the Greek hero Odysseus’ 10-year journey home after the Trojan War. And the reason Odysseus is traveling home is because he and the rest of the Greeks have just finished destroying Troy.

The Trojans are not the heroes of "The Odyssey." By the time the story begins, their city has been sacked, their greatest warriors are dead, and the surviving Greeks are packing up to head home after an extremely long and violent road win.

This seems like suboptimal branding for USC.

Now, listen, I know not everyone is a nerd. If you do not personally know the intricate details of Homer’s epics, I will not fault you. Most normal people do not spend their free time carefully reviewing ancient Greek poetry.

But if you represent an academic institution whose mascot represents the mythological inhabitants of the ancient city of Troy, you should probably have a general understanding of how things worked out for them.

At the very least, someone in the social media approval chain should type "Who wins the Trojan War?" into a search bar before hitting "post."

And I might be willing to dismiss this as a one-time oversight if USC had not already committed essentially the exact same mistake.

Before the 2024 season, the Trojans released a beautifully produced hype video showing USC players bursting out of a Trojan Horse and charging into battle.

Again, very cool visual.

Except it was not the Trojans hiding inside the Trojan Horse. It was the Greeks. The Trojans were the ones who foolishly dragged the horse inside their own city, went to sleep, and then got slaughtered when the Greek soldiers climbed out and opened the gates.

And now, after already being roasted for that blunder, USC has returned to the same piece of literature and aligned itself with another story detailing its own demise.

But perhaps the funniest part of this entire situation is the date USC chose for the beginning of its own "Odyssey."

The Trojans open the 2026 football season on August 29 against San Jose State. The Spartans.

So USC has promoted its season with a story about the destruction of Troy, nearly two years after promoting itself with the weapon used to destroy Troy, all leading up to a battle against an army from ancient Greece.

Speaker Johnson warns students are 'indoctrinated' to see US through 'wrong lenses' as nation celebrates 250th

House Speaker Mike Johnson sounded the alarm over students viewing America through the "wrong lenses" at an event hosted by legal advocacy group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) celebrating the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding.

"What ADF does every day on the front lines is defend the very foundations of the greatest nation in the history of the world, so that it can continue. We have a great challenge right now because, sadly, the generations coming behind us do not seem to fully appreciate and understand this," Johnson, R-La., told attendees as a keynote speaker at ADF’s summit in San Diego on July 9.

The ADF Summit 2026 brought together leaders from law, public policy, media, business, education and Christian organizations. ADF stated that the event celebrated the historic 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by exploring the role of the founders and "why our founders held certain truths to be self-evident and what we must do to reclaim the spirit of 1776 today."

"And I would begin… my little lecture often, I would say, ‘Could I just have a raise of hands of anyone in the room?’ I would ask this of university students ‘Raise your hand if you agree you live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.’ And sadly, just a handful of hands would be raised. And I'd say, 'OK, well, if you don't agree with me that you live in the greatest nation in the history of the world, would you raise your hand if you agree that you live in at least a great nation?' I'd get a few more sheepish volunteers."

He went on to say, "They see America through the wrong lenses. And I think right now we have a great opportunity because on the nation's birthday, we can take them right back to the nation's birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence... I love that. When you're a member of Congress, you get invited to speak to a lot of university students in that setting."

Fox News Digital previously reported on polling showing Americans’ lack of trust in higher educational institutions and a survey reportedly revealed a continuing political imbalance among university faculty.

The latest Gallup data reveals that just 38% of U.S. adults maintain a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in higher education. The figure represents a noticeable drop from last year, when trust in the sector experienced a modest uptick to 42%. Archaeologists make unusual find near site where Ark of the Covenant was once kept

Archaeologists recently uncovered ancient food remains at biblical Shiloh, the ancient site where the Bible says the Ark of the Covenant was housed for centuries.

The remains were found at Tel Shiloh, an archaeological site in the West Bank that is traditionally identified as biblical Shiloh, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept before it was taken by the Philistines.

The discovery was made beneath an Israelite-period ritual deposit and adjacent to an ancient Canaanite fortification wall, according to the excavation team.

'SIGNIFICANT' EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH EMERGES BENEATH FORMER FISH MARKET IN ANCIENT CITY

Two of the jars contained olives, while a third held lentils, according to archaeobotanical analysis — and one of the vessels contained some 500 burned olive pits.

The olives in the jar were likely preserved in oil before they were burned thousands of years ago, said Scott Stripling, excavation director and the president of the Near East Archaeological Society.

Stripling, who is based in Texas, told Fox News Digital that "some sort of accident" likely started a fire — and ended up preserving the olives for thousands of years.

"Once it started on fire, then it caught that whole area on fire," he said. "That's what it appears to me. But next year we'll have to excavate a broader area to better understand exactly what it was."

ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNEARTH ANCIENT TREASURE CACHE AT BIBLICAL CITY CONNECTED TO GENESIS

Before reaching the jars, archaeologists excavated an Israelite-period ritual deposit containing roughly 10,000 animal bones, pottery vessels and eight gold and silver objects, including pendants and earrings, Stripling said.

The deposit was not an ordinary garbage pit, he said — but a favissa, where the remains of sacrificial offerings were deliberately buried rather than discarded with everyday waste.

"We went through about two meters [6.6 feet] of heavy sort of tumble, and then we came down on these storage jars," he said.

"At the top, we could see the rims. So we were very careful not to remove any pieces of it, and to keep going down deeper and wider so that we could leave them intact."

Eventually, the team made so much progress that it needed ladders to enter and exit the excavation trench.

Though the scale of the olive pits was surprising, the types of food were not. Stripling described the lentils and olives as "staples of the Mediterranean diet."

Stripling said the Israelites who later occupied Shiloh likely had no idea that much older Canaanite storage jars lay buried beneath the ritual deposit they created.

"For thousands of years, the Israelites who deposited the remains of the sacrificial system above the jars didn't even know they were there," Stripling said.

He added that the jars are being restored at Tel Aviv University, where researchers hope to learn more about the artifacts.

"I will be shocked if the radiocarbon dates do not come back as Middle Bronze Age," he said. "These [burned olive pits] are ideal for radiocarbon dating."

Stripling said the team also plans to expand excavations next year to determine whether the jars were stored in a kitchen, storage room or another part of the ancient settlement.

Bigfoot

Last Sunday I wrote about a dad and his kids who thought they captured Bigfoot on video. They spotted something in the woods alongside the road, turned around, and started recording.

Skeptics of the video, which was posted on TikTok, commented on it. They weren't buying that the dark figure was anything more than a yard display.

Most of the emails I received about it agreed. OutKick readers aren’t buying that they saw an actual Bigfoot. Words like hoax and ignorant were tossed around.

You have to be completely ignorant to believe there are large upright creatures roaming the woods for decades and nobody has ever recovered any bones or remains. Moose are large animals and eventually some of them die. That’s why we find carcasses and bones. Hunters and hikers are all over the woods. If this thing was out there, we’d have actual proof. Hundreds of mountain lions are roaming the forests where I live and people that have lived here for decades have never seen one because they aren’t looking for them. After living in the Black Hills for a few years, I’ve seen many, because I know what to look for. I know Bigfoot is an interesting subject but give it a rest. No rational person is buying it.

Several years ago my brother and I we on the back roads between Salem and Turner Oregon when we saw what could have only been a young "Bigfoot". It was about 25 yards away and ran across the road in front of us. There were wheat fields on both sides of the road and it ran out of one field into the other. It was dark brown/black and didn’t seem to be fully grown. As it ran its knees were somewhat bent and when we got to where we thought it went into the field there was no sign of a pathway or downed wheat. We were both in our 60’s at the time so we weren’t a couple kids. When we saw it start to cross the road we stopped the car. I looked at my brother and he look at me. He said "Did you see that?" I said "I did." We both agreed it was not human. It was unnerving that it was so close to town.

Knicks stars provide backup for WWE favorites in electric Saturday Night's Main Event at MSG

WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden featured a celebration of the New York Knicks and their championship run during the 2025-26 season.

Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns supported Danhausen in his no disqualification match against JD McDonagh. Towns provided some fierce backup for Danhausen and got involved in the match. Danhausen "cursed" Mysterio and commanded Towns to do his worst.

The 7-footer proceeded to chokeslam McDonagh before he chokeslammed Mysterio through a table as the raucous crowd in New York City went wild.

Towns wasn’t the only Knicks star to make an appearance in the ring.

NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson was in Roman Reigns’ corner as the world heavyweight champion came out to end the show. Brunson received a tremendous ovation from the fans who packed the arena. He was given a custom Knicks World Heavyweight Championship.

Then, Seth Rollins’ music hit. Instead of Reigns’ SummerSlam challenger, it was Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton who came out of the backstage area with a chair.

The distraction allowed Rollins to jump into the ring and wail on Reigns. Rollins was going to hit Reigns with a Stomp on the chair before Brunson came in between them. Fans chanted "MVP" before the show went off the air.

Brunson is a huge WWE fan, previously revealing that he and a trainer "acknowledge" Reigns before games. He also was in the ring for a minute with Haliburton in a previous angle.

Regardless, the Knicks were engrained into the event and provided some hometown backup to some of the WWE fans’ favorites.
